Wanted a fan to use in the bedroom so it needed to be much quieter than the usual ‘sounds like a plane taking off’. This is perfect. 26 speed settings may be slightly OTT, but it goes from slow and quiet to very fast and noisy as most fans. The lower settings around 3-6 are perfect for creating a natural draft at night in the bedroom and are whisper quiet. The nature setting even creates an effect of a naturally varying breeze.

Only complaint is that you need the remote to do everything as no buttons on the fan itself, and you cannot adjust the horizontal or vertical oscillation: you can stop it in any position but it would be useful to be able to control the arc of oscillation. Overall and godsend for sleeping in heatwave!

Due to the extreme heat lately, although we’ve got ceiling fans fitted throughout the house, we decided to invest in an extra fan for blowing the hot air out of the house, this fan is a pure Gem, what a great find, I had seen one very similar to this particular one on one of our UK shopping channels, I did shudder at the tbh. Found this one here at Amazon and it’s great, so quiet when in operation, you start to notice it when it’s on at about 22, not bad considering that’s blowing your head off at that point. So easy to assemble, easy to keep clean and great how you can adjust the height. Worked out 25. cheaper here than the shopping channel and free shipping, where as the shopping channel charge for P&P. I’m really happy I opted for this model it really has been a blessing through the hot weather. The remote controller is tiny, so if like me you’ve got fat fingers it can be a little fiddly, but it works fine especially when you’re comfy on the sofa.

So quiet and makes the room very comfortable for sleeping. Remote control and assembly is easy.

Bought this fan for our 10 month olds bedroom during the heatwave as our existing one was too noisy. This fan is amazingly quiet yet still powerful and even on full power was a fraction of the noise compared to our existing fan. The smart features were easy to setup in the Duux app and in Alexa so could control remotely through the night.

Love this fan! Very quiet when in use and great flow of air from it. You can barely hear it when on the lower speed settings and it’s just a low him when on it’s highest.
Easy to assemble, looks great and remote control is super handy to have too.
Not sure 26 speed settings are needed but not necessarily a negative, more just a little over engineered! 5 stars.

The best fan I have ever owned. So quiet. Worth the money. Can oscillates left to right and top to bottom if you choose. The best feature is the Natural flow which means the air ebbs and flows, you don’t get this constant bombardment of air. Nice feature. Good build quality too. Come with a remote control so you can find the best breeze from the 26 speeds. Fab. I have two Duux fans now..

I purchased this for the bedroom and needed it to be quiet. In night mode, it absolutely is that. Other than the breeze it’s obviously designed to create, you wouldn’t know it was on.

Not too loud, sound is ok. It stands a little bit away from me when I work, so documents on my desk don’t fly away. But the fan cools my room down perfectly. It’s easy to essemble and control remotely. Best investment this summe

The gentle breeze that is generated at L2, with the natural wind setting is absolutely perfect for night time sleeping. I have trouble sleeping at the best of times, if theres noise from fans or anything else it is just worse. But I cant hear this fan at that level. As you go up to 25 it does get noisier, but you go from a gentle breeze to a gale.

My niggles (and they’re pretty small), the assembly instructions are a bit confusing for one particular part. I had to go online and watch the video (but still, theres a video so thats a bonus). Secondly the instructions on connecting to Wifi so you can use the mobile phone app are a bit confusing. I found I had to leave the device on for quite a while before it saw the network and I could see it. Apparently there’s an Alexa app, I like voice control but I have not managed to get this working at all.

The fan is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. The fan is well made and very quiet.

My only complaint is that my remote control does not operate the vertical and lateral movement. The app works fine and the remote control problem does not detract from the five star award.

Slightly disappointed that this fan needs to be assembled and although it’s fairly straightforward the finished unit isn’t quite as sturdy as I’d expected.

Having said that, the performance is excellent: easy to control with the remote, covers all the speeds, angles and rotations, on low settings it is very quiet, and has a timer facility. Also the comfort/nature feature is pretty neat and is actually very effective especially when using to get to sleep in hot or muggy weather.

For a 90+ fan it just feels a tad flimsy and is therefore a little on the pricey side perhaps, but it’s definately a decent fan, without gimmicks, and has very useful and effective features, and so far there’s no sign of any issues after prolonged use.

Fan arrived on time and was very well packaged in the retail box – it would need a strong knock to damage the fan. Yes, it is plastic, but to me, it feels high quality.
Do read the assemble instruction as they are in good English and do make it easy – with on exception. The fitting of a small screw to hold the front plastic mesh on to the body will only fit in one of the four possible orientations. A case of fourth time lucky for me. Hence deducting on star from assembly rating.
Multiple speed settings, and horizontal and vertical swivels are good. Timer function in hours, and I would suggest increments of 30 mins would be a good upgrade, but that does not detract from me overall 5 stars.
I have been running as a nighttime fan in bedroom on settings 1,2 or three and have had no problems sleeping.
I really like this product so far. Recommended !

I’ve owned the fan for about 3 weeks during the UK heatwave. I bought mine from Currys. On 36c days the fan kept the room comfortable on fan speeds around 12. At 36c its blowing warm air. On 26c summer days it blows cool air at fan speed 7. I use the sleep timer at night running for 2 hours which works as expected. The extra height of the ultimate is enough to push cool air across the bed from about 1.5 metres away. I’m using fan speed 3 at night, noise levels are almost undetectable. Even at fan speed 7 it is quiet enough to fall asleep.
It’s slightly cheaper to buy the battery with the fan. You also get a taller, better made fan with a temperature option. So the extra money for the ultimate is worth it if you plan to move the fan around and go cordless. On fan speed 4 the battery was still running 3 hours later.
The fan can run at speeds relevant to the room temperature. I’ve not used this function.
The neck of the fan is more secure than the 120 version, tberes a YouTube video that compares build quality. If I was going to purchase this again I’d probably just buy the smart version as I’m not using the battery as much as I thought I would. Overall its whisper quiet and deserving of the name.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWow! I know these aren’t cheap but oh my word, I’m really pleased I splashed out. It’s really easy to put together. The hardest bit is putting the base into the main body. I just couldn’t seem to be able to click it in. But after a few tries, it was all done. It’s a good strong “wind” and keeps you cool. The head goes up and down as well as side to side. The remote works great (I bought a different fan before this one and I virtually had to be be stood next to it to get it register) so all together I’m very happy with my purchase. My video shows how quiet it is. My daughter came in and saw it and said she’s going to get one too as it was so quiet even on full power. If you want a good fan then look no further. It’s so hard to pick one because there are so many mixed reviews. BTW it was really well packaged and in a really sturdy and professional looking box and then it was in an Amazon box with lots of brown paper around to protect it.

This fan is fantastic. The highest setting is incredible given how quiet it is, the lowest setting is so quiet you could have it right next to you at night and it wouldn’t bother you in the slightest. The oscillation doesn’t add any noise either. The natural wind mode is really subtle but noticeable.

The remote is great, Google assistant integration is ok, you can turn it on and off via voice command and adjust the speed but can’t turn oscillation on or off.

The quality of the construction is very good and feels premium. The packaging was incredibly well done and is good enough to gift.

Within an hour of it arriving I bought one for my parents and another for my office.

The only negative is the control on the unit. It is well made and looks great but the mechanism inside does not FEEL very good for a more premium product. If anyone from duux reads this, it should either be a smooth rotation with a little resistance and no clicks, or it should have very very quiet clicks like a good ratchet. Currently it wobbles too much. The way it is now feels very strange and is weirdly loud to adjust considering your selling point is noise. It’s also confusing to use at first. But the handheld remote is very simple and intuitive to use so it’s not a huge deal

Buying fans is hard. Full of hope that the claims of windy coolness will waft your way. I’ve bought many a fan, good ones and downright dreadful ones. Cheap ones and crazy expensive ones and have discovered that high cost does not equal best cooling breeze and in some cases less breeze more very light breathing.

I’ve been known to take my fans of choice to peoples houses when I go to stay…the downside to this is they tend to keep them.

To date the best fan I’ve ever bought is a Daewoo desk fan for under 20 (sadly no longer available). The most expensive I’ve ever bought is a Dyson for 550, yes five hundred pounds. Granted it heats too but is it better than the Daewoo at fanning coolness, no it is not.

So where does this Duux fall into the charts of fans, well it’s number 1 with a gold star and platinum disc. Here is why:

    1) the wind. Just wow. I turned it on and it was like being in a hair commercial!!
    2) the breeze test. I wanted to check I wasn’t being won over by the unboxing experience, after all a new fan is exciting when it’s first out the box. The very clear user guide was placed on a stool, the fan next to the Dyson… both fans the same distance. I turn on the Dyson the front cover starts to gently flap in the breeze I start to think I’ve done the Dyson a disservice, it has been very hot after all. Dyson off Duux on. Clearly the Duux is an avid reader, the front cover whips over fully open followed by several pages. This is no breeze…this is wind.
    3) the TV test. You’ve probably guessed it I could hear the TV no problem, the subtitles that were turned on with the other fans are now off.
    4) the packaging was amazing, it came in an Amazon outer box that was covered in holes but the Duux boxing didn’t suffer any damage. Then you open it. Everything is numbered fabric bags, with only the tiniest amount of plastic packaging being used. You could totally get away with not reading the instructions but you really should even if just for the propeller construction. Every detail has been thought of down to the allen key with screwdriver head. One tiny screw is the only thing you need this tool for. Why every allen key doesn’t come like this I will now forever wonder.
    5) with the choice of remote control, app or Google home control you feel spoilt. Each one works with ease.
    6) the bidirectional fanning, just amazing
    7) and finally it looks and feels good, every detail has been thought of, the blade casing sturdy plastic not rattling metal, the cable, the base, the fact the screen goes off, the handle on the back to make moving it a breeze 😉

I think you get that I love it…so much so just two days later I bought another, when you find a good fan you need to double up. So I would recommend and I have, my sister took delivery of one today!

Thanks to Lisa Dawson on Instagram for sharing hers, I was well and truly influenced but sorry I didn’t use your link Amazon price was better at the time, but everywhere seems to have price matched now.

Day two of the current heatwave when I realized I needed a new fan to replace my old one which sounded more like an aircraft taking off. Came down to a choice between the Meaco 1056 or the Duux whisper flex smart fan. Decided on the Duux as delivery was quicker and it was on a Prime deal. Assembly took minutes without reading the instructions and connection to wifi and Alexa were straight forward. The fan isn’t very tall and as we have a fairly high bed it was a problem but easily remedied by removing the extension pole and using it as a desk fan. Quietness was the main reason I purchased it and I am not disappointed, even on full speed it is not intrusive. Only minor shortcomings are you can’t see the display if you are using it as a desk fan in a bedroom but you can always ask Alexa what speed it is set to but you can’t get Alexa to activate the oscillation function. Remote works fine as does the Duux app. Would recommend.

First impressions was that the main post was a bit short. But its just right for bed height.
Ok its not cheap, but fk me, its perfect! Wife is super light sleeper, and she loves it. Bought another one for myself.First time I’ve ever slept with a fan left on! My breathing is louder than this! A pleasant amount of air is moved even on number 1. The wifi and app works well, night mode makes the beeps nice snd quiet.
The tilt goes a couple degrees below level and has a good range on sideways and vertical.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAlthough a little smaller than anticipated (about 1.1 meters at its highest), this fan runs phenomenally well. It is quiet and has some swing features which are great. It does a complete loop when you set the vertical and horizontal swing at the same time. Great for the hot days and nights we are experiencing this July.
The build quality feels good and the controls on the base and the remote are easy to use.

First up there is a bit of assembly but it’s very straightforward or at least I thought it was.

The fan is super quiet particularly compared to the dyson but also another retro fan I have. This is the main reason I got one as I would like to use it in the evening and watching TV with the Dyson isn’t great.

App is as very simple to setup and works great at controlling. I would love the option to have an option with the direction to have a custom fixed direction options when you don’t want it changing direction.

It seems to be fairly toddler safe as the holes are small but still not as safe as the Dyson.

Can’t really fault as price seems right too. I like that you can get a battery pack to make it wireless and I might get one albeit price needs to come down before I do.

Very impressed with this fan, not knowing anything of the brand prior to purchase. It is well made and simple to assemble, I like the idea that you can take it apart for travel etc. It also can have a battery and dock both purchase separately although would enable portable and wireless usage.

I have owned 5 different models of Dyson fan, standard, air purifying and hot and cool that were loud, develop annoying whining sounds and a complete waste of money. This fan is by far so much quieter, it’s a third of the price, well designed and I’m very impressed.

It’s just a fan but once you use it, it quickly becomes clear that this is the best fan you’ve encountered.

It generates an impressive amount of airflow for what would be a “small” fan and the Natural Wind function is just fantastic. At a higher setting, it sounds like a windy night and on low, it creates a natural breeze around the room.

No denying, it’s not cheap but in my opinion, worth every penny!

We got this fan as my partner is always hot especially at night so we wanted to have a fan that doesnt make too much to disturb your sleep and with a nice flow you can regulate. We found the perfect fit with this fan. We put it on 1 or 2 for the night and to keep the room cool while we sleep and it doesnt interfere with our sleep at all. Best investment ever.

Was dubious about buying this from Amazon Warehouse as it was used-like new but the idea of buying the fan at 100 less than any other I got over myself! It arrived quickly and was packaged as if I had bought it from any other retailer at full price.
The fan is easy to put together and is amazingly quiet. It has lots of speeds and options to oscillate vertical and horizontally. It even works cordless. I can operate it with voice, remote or direct on the device, what more could you want!

it clearly seems of good quality and has worked seamlessly so far (around 2 weeks). Very easy to use app and very useful to have a timer. Price is a lot and could be argued as being too steep for a fan, but as others have said, the quality is undoubtful. I would give 5 stars for the product in general, but maybe 3 or 4 stars for the price – but if you can afford, then it’s definitely worth it 🙂

I was worried about quality after reading some reviews, but as soon as I felt the weight of the box I knew this would be good. The reason the head is light and looks “flimsy” is because it is wafer thin to add to the quietness – the base and remote are sturdy and remind me more of a Dyson product. It looks good too – really unusual. BUT I couldn’t believe the pathetic max height!! If you like your genitals cooled then fine, but if you want wind on your face you’ll have to place this on a desk just like a normal desk fan. I knocked off a star for this, the rest of it is fab.

The fan arrives in parts for you to assemble yourself but it’s extremely easy to do as all of the bags are clearly numbered. I think this fan is absolutely amazing. It has 26 different speeds and can be used stationery or with the head moving up and down or side to side or both. It is adjustable so it can also be used as a desk fan. The remote control is easy to use and so convenient. It is the quietest fan I have ever come across. I loved it so much that I ordered another one for my 97 year old Dad who is extremely pleased with it too.

Easy to assemble, the extension rod plugs securely into the base and fan, no wobble or shake.
The remote control works well (needs to be aimed at the base of the stand carefully), the most noticeable feature though is the relative quietness of the fan. On low to medium fan speeds, the air movement is good and the fan noise is very soft, easy to watch TV with or sleep in a quiet bedroom.
Linking to Wifi is not simple, the fan struggles to connect to the network, but the normal remote control does the trick fine.
Build quality is high, the fan and base feel well made and high quality.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersContenders were the Dyson floor stander, Meacofan and the Duux smart fan.

The Meacofan unfortunately lost out on looks. I already had a Dyson desk fan so was fully familiar with the technology and must admit the Dyson floor stander won in the looks department. However the Duux had app control and google integration meaning easier control and potential for automation. It also has a natural air mode which feels great, like being outside in a gentle breeze. Add into the fact the dyson costs some 200 more we decided to give it a try and I am glad we did.

Quieter than the Dyson (comparing with the desktop version), especially the rotate left/right function. It is well built and good lucking, albeit not as good looking or easy to clean as the Dyson. It can also easily be converted to a desk fan by removing a section of the stand. Also, out of interest, during the recent heat wave I replaced the dyson with a cheap 20 traditional fan to provide better cooling of the dogs on their dog beds. The dysons airstream seemed to be a narrower stream and hence less effective. the simpler traditional fan just seemed more powerful with a wider air stream.

Should you decide to purchase on of these fans a couple of tips – to enter wifi configuration mode, when off hold down the control on the base until the wifi symbol displays. If I recall correctly the manual said to do this after switching on which, frustratingly, just turns the fan off again. To setup the wifi your router will need to be in 2.4ghz mode, this is stated in the manual and is a necessary for older 2.4Ghz equipment. The BT router had a dedicated mode for this that enabled only 2.4Ghz for a limited time before reverting back. Once done the wifi control and google integration has worked reliably.

I chose this initially because of the design. It fits nicely with our modern black wood burner and chimney and industrial lighting. I had expected it to be quiet, but was surprised how virtually silent it is. It was easy to put together and set up on the iPhone app which I use to control it, it also works with Alexa but not so well. The actual remote control didn’t come with a battery but as I’m not going to use it I won’t buy one, just more difficult to dispose of waste. For the same reason I won’t be buying the battery pack to make the fan wireless, it’s pretty easy to move around. I am disappointed in how plasticky the grill is and have marked it down one star to reflect this.

I bought this as a replacement for a Meaco 1056 that failed after 2 days of use (clicking sound when oscillating). Both are sold at a similar price-point but I think the duux is the better product. The remote is much better, the controls are better, it looks nicer and it’s quieter. I’d struggle to list negatives for the duux. Maybe I would have liked it to have gone a little higher? Oh wait, I got one. They put a sticker on it that when removed left a big gluey mark that was hard to get off. That’s about it. Buy one.

I love this fan. Over the years I have bought many fans as I use them all year round, even in winter as I get too hot an then feel nauseous. I have had bladed fans, Tower fans etc, bought fans cheap and expensive all stating they are super quiet. This is the first fan I have put on that is super quiet, even on number 16 that is quiet a breeze, it whispers to you. On the outdoor setting it is literally like you are sitting outside and you have that gentle breeze that alters intensity. So natural and calming. I have 2 other fans in my bedroom an neither 1 compares to how quiet this is and one was very expensive an claimed to be the quietest fan out there. It is half the size with 3 settings and on it lowest it doesn’t even compare. It was simple to put together, I have severe spinal stenosis and I managed in about 30 mins an that was stopping each minute to ease my pain. The remote is super easy to use an comes with the battery. All in all I cant fault it. Bar from I would of liked it to go a bit taller but that is personal preference.

This is by a long way best fan we have ever owned. Even the packaging is luxurious, the cardboard is very nice to the touch and each fo the components comes in a fabric bag which honestly felt like a shame to get rid of. The fan comes disassembled but it is pretty straight forward to put together, the only part to take care on is the order of the parts on the rotating rod for the blades. The fan comes with an extension pole which is intended to take it from a desk fan to a floor fan, this is easy to add or remove but sadly for use in our bedroom we found that the floor fan configuration was a bit too short to nicely point down at us in bed and when in desk mode is a bit too tall to sit nicely on our chest of drawers but if you had the right furniture to accommodate then this would not be an issue but it would be nice if it was a bit more adjustable.

To control the fan there is a wheel with a screen inside on the base of the fan, the screen is nice and is eager to dim which is useful when being used in a bedroom. Unfortunately it is quite hard to get used to the rotating controls, it is hard to use it accurately and often you I accidentally select the wrong options. This is not a big issue though as I an be controlled via the app and the app is very nice and easy to use, this is mainly how we control the fan, it works well and is nice and responsive. Definitely the best thing about the fan is how quiet it is, especially considering the amount of airflow it provides, on the lower settings it is incredibly quiet and can easily be completely drown out with a TV at a low volume.

This Dulux fan is under 3ft high, so have to have it on a bedside cabinet at the end of the bed. It is a powerful medium-sized fan but very powerful and quieter than a normal cheaper fan. It is bigger than the larger Ohyama fan and a lot quieter. The wind setting is awesome.

It is easy to work with the remote or the APP, which we found amazing and was so simple to use and sign into. Nice and quiet and unintrusive in night mode, lovely wind power, no light to keep you awake like there is on the Iris Ohyama fans.

We downloaded the DUUX App and with the little book that comes with the fan scanned the code inside with my phone camera and everything comes up for the fan, like the App, nice and easy to set up and work with.

I use a fan every night even through the winter and now I get no moans over how loud the fan is. Love it. Well happy with it.

Well built and nice quality, well worth it for a quiet but comfortable fan at night.

Yes, it is expensive at 150 quid, but it is good. In this case, the extra outline really does seem to buy versatility and quality, and it’s not often I say that. It’s reasonably straightforward to construct so long as you follow the instructions carefully. (One thing that did help me was noticing that the parts are labelled on the bags covering the pieces themselves and in tiny white writing on the bullet points and NOT on the actual pictograph. I would have liked both.) Bear in mind that to dismantle it you need to click the button on the base.
Function wise, it really is very quiet. It has 27 settings. You can switch it on to natural mode where it mimics a natural breeze so to speak. You can adjust the vertical and horizontal oscillations. You can switch off the light if you want to use it at night. It has a timer on it. And all these things are all workable from the remote. It also pairs up wirelessly and you can use it by Alexa. I believe you can get a battery for these but this one isn’t a battery model. It is also relatively light so you could tote it from room to room. And it has a good long flex which is also another big plus with a fan. It looks great, too.
It has a sticker on it to say it works with Alexa. I can’t get it to pair with my network. I now notice that few can. This isn’t a dealbreaker but it is aggravating that they make such a big deal of something that doesn’t actually work. Not to mention a wasted morning trying to get it to work.
As well as working from the remote control, you can work it from the the metal LED display on the base. The best 2 things about this fan are that it is so quiet, it’s infinitely adjustable by remote.

SO pleased with this fan. My son bought a dyson and prefers mine as its quieter and cooler. I really struggle 2 sleep with noisy fans but this is soooo quiet and has a funny setting that rotates the air around the room which really works. A bit fiddly attaching the fan but is a solid, sturdy fan and can’t praise it enough.

Expensive! But worth every penny – the natural mode is something I didn’t even know I needed in my life before this fan introduced it to me, now I can’t live without it! 26 speeds and you can notice the change in all plus it’s super super quiet. Only downside is you need to buy the battery separately if you want it to be portable and not plug it into the mains.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWow, this is FANtastic, I have never seen a fan that oscillates like this one does, it doesn’t just go from side to side, it goes up, side, round in a brilliant way that really spreads the cool air. It arrives nicely packaged and putting together is extremely easy, you can choose to use full height or desk fan height, I opted for full. I am using it in the bedroom, I have placed it next to the bottom of the bed and the speed selection means I can choose a gentle breeze right up to a very cooling blast. What makes it ideal for the bedroom is how quiet it is, even my neck fan makes more noise. I can operate using the remote control or the app, and even via Alexa, no need to get up lol. The light is dimmable and in night mode does not distract at all. If my dog is feeling the heat he pops through the bedroom, and I put the fan on. It is dearer than some but the functions more than make up for that.

Quietest and most efficient fan ever.

Good fan. Nice and quiet and looks good. Definitely isn’t flimsy like cheap ones. I never checked measurements so it’s smaller than I thought but still plenty enough for the bedroom. Slightly overpriced when not on sale though.

This is a really good fan that would easily earn five stars if it wasn’t for the software which I’ll come to in a minute.
It comes very well packaged. Every single component is packed in its own drawstring bag within the strong box so there is no chance of it being damaged or scratched.
Assembly is very easy but follow the clear instructions to make sure you get it right. The height is adjustable for use on a table or the floor by the simple insertion of a wired extension pole.
It has a wide and stable flat base that ensures that it doesn’t wobble in use even at its maximum speed which is formidable.
The design includes a convenient carry handle for easy transport or repositioning of the fan and it is fitted with a 2m power lead to reach any plug in my house. The power lead plugs into the base securely in its own channel.
The remote control is easy to understand and controls the fan speed and direction and the timer. Also included is a ‘forest’ mode which mimics the wind by varying the speed. The fan rotates in the horizontal and vertical planes and is easily controlled from the remote control. The remote even has a night mode which turns off its illumination after ten seconds. The breeze is far more effective than a tower fan at cooling a room.
So at this stage this excellent fan earns five stars.
Now try to connect it to your wireless network to control it with Alexa. I have had an Echo since the day they were released and in the beginning there was a big issue with connecting to BT wireless networks. The issue was simply that Alexa wanted to be on the 2.4ghz network and the BT home hubs had to be separated into two networks to enable this. BT and Alexa have now moved on and the smart hubs now have no problem connecting with Echos of any generation.
The software in this fan has the same issue as the 1st generation Echo and it just can’t connect to my new smart hub however I try and I’m not prepared to split the channels again, something the BT engineer who installed it told me I shouldn’t have to do.
Fortunately we wanted this fan for our bedroom and we keep the remote control by the bed but if you’re going to install software into a device it should be readily compatible with one of the most prevalent wireless hubs in the country. My Chinese panel heater with Alexa compatibility jumped straight onto the network with no problems at all and that needed the 2.4ghz channel too.
If you don’t want to control this with your home network then I highly recommend it.

A great fan, shame about the software

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis fan is amazing, everything about this screams quality and despite not having heard of them before can definitely say I would put them up there with all the other big brands.

It did require some assembly but the manufacturer has really thought about this and put each part in drawstring bags labelled with the number of the piece it corresponds to in the instructions. Took me no more than 2 minutes to put together in total.

The fan can be quite strong but this can be dialled down either on the fan itself or on the app. The Alexa app is a little basic but is capable of turning the fan on based on the last setting before it was last turned off.

It’s not quite as tall as a regular stand fan but it does have the ability to angle up automatically so it really circulates the air of the room. You could even choose not to bother with the extension pole (like I did) and just keep it on a console table for use; providing that extra height.

There are a few settings that are pretty good I’ve already partly mentioned but there is one more that has really blown me away and that is the “natural breeze” setting which means this simulates a regular breeze. It really stops me from getting too cold from the fan when it’s on me.

I’m a big fan of this.

    I’m a big fa

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersDon’t normally write reviews, but, I just didn’t recognise the product I received with the 1 star review below. Yes you need to assemble it but it’s super easy, just all slots together in that reassuringly expensive type of way.

Bought this for a home office which gets hot in the summer. It really is incredibly quiet, you can have it on 4 or below and really not even notice it. My laptop fan is definitely noisier. It does get a little noisy at higher speeds but have rarely had to use these higher speeds and even then it’s really quiet compared to a normal fan.

The remote is nice (haven’t tried the app yet) and it rotates in horizontal and/or vertical or fixed. The display is nice and subtle and it’s floor footprint is small (13 inches). Overall you don’t really notice it’s there.

One tiny caution, the fan can only be one of 2 possible heights i.e. with or without the extension pole. The extension pole itself is not telescopic. TBH as it rotates vertically as well have not found that to be an issue at all

You know when you buy something and you immediately know it’s gonna be everything you hoped it would be?

This fan is AMAZING. The air flow, the oscillation, the ease of putting it together. I’m in love with it.

I think most fans are similar and, to be honest, not very good. So for me to say that this fan is brilliant, I really really have to mean it.

Put it this way: it’s not hot today so I’ve had to turn the fan down to 11 (out of 26) because the airflow is so powerful.

It’s also not noisy. You could easily run this in 5-6 during the night for a lovely breeze with almost no sound.

It’s got a fantastic “breeze” feature which speeds and slows the airflow, sometimes like a gust of wind, sometimes like a windy day. I thought it was a gimmick but I had it like that all night and it was soothing and stopped that annoying feeling you can get when a fan is blowing all the time.

Full disclosure: I bought this on “prime day” so it is was discounted to 80 and had 5 months 0% free credit. I wanted to buy it anyway but that price was an instant buy for me.

It is definitely worth the money.

My only gripe? The signal from the remote isn’t quite as good as it should be. These days we are used to remotes that you can point anywhere: this one has to be pointed at the fan. No big deal – but who wants to sit up in bed when you can lay there, lazily turning your fan off and on? 🙂

This is by far the most expensive fan I have ever owned. I was sceptical initially that it was going to prove it was worth the price tag but I have to say I am impressed. The fan arrived in more parts than I expected, I struggled to assemble it but managed it eventually. The best feature of this smart fan is the vast amount of control and setting adjustments available. There are 26 modes as well as a timer and night mode. It is extremely quiet which is fantastic especially at night. I have used it in the kid’s room at night and hasnt disturbed them at all and kept them nice and cool. Would recommend.

    Fan-tastic!

    This is brilliant
    Easy to assemble, manual included,
Hardly any plastic packaging instead the parts are in mesh pouches.
Remote and battery for remote included
    Large/long plug and long cable
Oscillates up, down left, right and can hold in any direction
It can be shortened for a desk fan but the base is very wide 34cm.
Allen key and one tiny screw included
Nearly silent on speed 1, quite loud and powerful on top speed 26
    Not too heavy
Very impressed and as if that wasnt enough i was amazed to find that the carry handle is magnetic and holds the remote so you dont have to worry about loosing it
    Happily recommend this fa

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt arrived today and within 10 minutes it was being tried out in our conservatory. We had planned to have a ceiling fan installed but after trying this we just ordered a second one. One for the bedroom and another for the conservatory, job done. It is never easy finding a quiet but effective fan with so many to choose from. We can happily have the one on overnight without it disturbing our sleep.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMy husband can’t sleep when it’s too hot, so this fan seemed like an ideal solution. It is a fantastic fan and lives up to its price tag.
It only took me 13 minutes to set up, including the time it took me to take it out of its Amazon packaging, take it out of the Duux box (pictured), lay the components out and photograph them (pictured), and put it together. Part of the reason it was so quick and easy was that, as you can see in the photo, each part comes in a numbered bag which corresponds to the instructions you are given. SO easy! The only bit of ‘construction’ I can give you any advice on is to make sure, when attaching the front grill, the ‘open close’ is at the top because then the screw hole will line up with the screw hole you’re going to attach it to.
Once set up it’s very simple to use, either with the display or remote. I couldn’t get it to connect to my phone via Bluetooth (I haven’t deducted stars for this as I won’t use the app and Bluetooth is always hard work in my house for some reason. If you need Bluetooth and the app then consider this a 4 star review).
I’ve taken a video (please excuse the sounds from the kitchen in the next room) which shows it’s excellent range of movement, display etc. We think speed 10 or below os ok for sleeping. 26 is lovely and refreshing, but sounds like an airplane taking off! I like the idea of a natural wind function and the night function turns off the display. I’ve photographed the remote diagram so you can see what it does.
Only niggle is the stickers to say it’s Alexa compatible left residue and I had to get the rubbing alcohol out to remove it. The smart home compatible sticker was easy peel, so both stickers could’ve been. That aside, I highly recommend this. I’m not sure why another reviewer thought it might be unsafe as I don’t get that impression at all. Plus it displays a CE mark. It also comes with comprehensive safety info.
I hope that’s been helpful to anyone considering this fan. My husband can also say he has at least one fan now!

    Fantastic Fa

This fan is brilliant. I don’t know how people have anything bad to say about it. Horizontal and vertical oscillation is so peaceful, nature setting is wonderful, and it’s ultra quiet (not silent, becausethat’s impossible). It’s shorter than you might expect, but that doesn’t matter with vertical oscillation. Highly recommend.

I bought the Whisper Flex (the smart one) mainly for my bedroom to replace a rather old fan and wanted something quiet and small but still powerful enough for a decent-sized bedroom. The Duux Whisper Flex looks great and was pretty simple to put together, everything comes in labeled bags and the instructions were really clear.

I have been using it as a pedestal fan with the extension column, although it just under a meter high, I was able to position it well to cool myself and my wife whilst in bed. The vertical oscillation and natural modes are great for more gentle cooling and circulating air around the room.

It’s really quiet too and the night mode switches off the display so there are no annoying LEDs distracting me whilst trying to sleep. Having lots of speed settings (26!) makes the sound more pleasant too, as you never really go up in big jumps and makes the low level of noise even more manageable.

I had a little issue getting the WIFI connected, but after reading the Smart FAQs on the Duux website, I found it was an issue with 2.4gHz/5gHz from our router. I understand not everyone will have this issue but I logged into my router settings, switched off 5gHz whilst I setup the fan and then turned 5gHz back on. Works perfectly and I can control it via my phone now, just in case the remote is allllll the way on the other side of the bed.

My first impressions of the Duux Whisper fan are excellent – the packaging is premium and it’s simple to setup. The fan itself is powerful, at its top setting (and there are 26 levels!) it really makes a massive difference on a hot day. Even so, it’s so quiet, especially compared to other ‘premium’ fans. Having a 9 month old going through his first heat wave last week, it was the perfect solution for a peaceful day AND night despite the heat. Overall its a fantastic bit of kit, 10/10

This is the best fan i have ever bought. Every year i make the same mistake and buy something cheap as i ‘wont use it much’ but get fed up of the noise, the lack of stability and versatility. This Duux fan is so easy to build and even comes with the tools, its solid, the settings are great but best of all you just cannot hear it, even on full power its so quiet. I’ll most certainly be considering the other products in the range based on this experience, so worth the extra money!

  95. ZoeGottlieb says:

From start to finish, the Duux Whisper is a premium product.

Easy to assemble, with a few simple steps to get the fan up and running, I was immediately impressed by the volume of the unit when I turned it on. Of the 26 available intensities, around half is barely audible and extremely efficient at moving the air around the room. Higher levels of power are, of course, louder – but even at the maximum power of 26 the sound is negligible.

Speaking of power – at maximum power this fan is seriously effective. In the recent heatwave, the air was constantly cycled around the room thanks to the excellent vertical and horizontal oscillation. An absolute lifesaver prior to a child’s bedtime, or during a meal.

For the money, I expected a great fan – and I got one. It looks fantastic; it feels sturdy and robust; it’s light enough to move easily; and most importantly, it moves and cools the air around the room while barely creeping above a… whisper… in volume.

The simple remote control, on-device settings, and natural wind mode are additional cherries on top of the best fan I’ve ever purchased.

Easy to assemble and was ready to use moments after arrival. The fan itself is well made with a premium look and feel.

I wanted a quiet fan and this lives up to expectations, the night mode is a great feature and means that you can easily sleep whilst the fan is in use.

Previous fans we’ve had always have a limited number of settings, so the various different settings on this one makes a real difference and means that we’re comfortable no matter the temperature, or where the fan is positioned.

Would definitely recommend and we’re planning to buy the smart, wireless version as well!

Bought this fan for our bedroom because it is advertised as quiet; and amazingly it is! Almost entirely silent while still generating a good breeze. An excellent buy so far. I do wish they would make it just 10/20cm taller but that’s only downside.

I bought this before the one star review and I could not disagree more about the whole review.

The price is more expensive yes, compared to the ones I bought before but you get what you pay for. This is SOLID and if anything feels more premium then a Dyson blade fan.

Super quiet and works with phone app, Alexa etc. It’s incredible.

Only thing I would want is option to buy another pole to make it taller.

Would I purchase this again? Yes I would.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersI bought this for one reason only and that is to use it in my bedroom. The price was more expensive than the ones I bought for my bedroom and living room last year and although the fans were first class and they still are, it did light up like a Christmas tree. Putting a cloth over the display did block the light out but it also made the remote control useless. This one is also first class. The display goes dim or you can switch it off in night mode. Unfortunately, some manufacturers seem to forget people purchase fans to use in the bedroom as well as everywhere else and don’t want their bedroom to light up. I had it on number 6 and there was no noise and a really nice breeze. Running costs are between 2 to 22 watts depending on the settings, it makes this a very cheap fan to run. That is around 45 hours to 500 hours per unit depending on what setting the fan is on. Considering most cheap fans I have used in the past have run at 50 to 65 watts, that is a really good saving as the cheap fans tend to be high energy users. The design of the blade is quite different but it does appear to be very effective considering it is only 12inches and not 16. I personally don’t think it needs 26 speeds as my other ones are 12 speed and they are also 12in and I find that is more than enough. The problem is, if you go from 12 to 13 or from one number to the next, you are probably not going to feel any difference. Overall, I personally wouldn’t purchase one for my living room because it is a little bit lower. The ones I purchased last year including my now spare one are more than suitable for the living room plus the display is not a problem and are also cheap to run. For the bedroom, yes these are high enough, very quiet with a nice breeze and the display turned off with cheap running costs make them perfect for the bedroom. Would I purchase this again? Yes I would.
