At the time of writing, EasyZap score 43, Flys score 0 – Does it job well, attracts and kills any and all flying bugs in the kitchen, and does so with a slightly satisfying crackle/buzz
The instructions gives an explanation how to change the 2 LED lamps.
When placed in a darkened room during the day the unit successful zapped a couple of house flies – note “darkened room”. During the first night the zapped caught a moth.
All in all, zapping at night in a room with no lights on the unit works well. I can only suggest that those who have one star reviews, they expect the unit to work in full daylight.
So far this device has worked really well. The housing is attractive and it has the advantage of having an on/off switch on the side. Good value for momey.

Die Insekten werden durch das Licht angezogen und dann beim Berhren des Gertes gettet, dabei ist
jeweils ein leiser Zischlaut hrbar.
Die toten Insekten sammeln sich in einer Art Auffang-Behlter, der ab und zu entleert werden muss.
Ein meiner Meinung nach sehr ntzliches Gert.
Ich hasse Insekten. Aus diesem Grund war ich besonders froh, dass ich den hier angebotenen Insektenvernichter testen durfte. Nach ca. einem Monat der tglichen Verwendung kann ich folgendes ber das Gert festhalten:

+durch Einsatz von Elektrizitt werden Insekten verbrannt
+auch fr Fliegen geeignet
+geringer Stromverbrauch
+narrensichere Bedienung
+kinderleichte Reinigung
+hoher Wirkungsgrad in kleinen bis mittleren Rumen
+sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhltnis
Aus diesen Grnden bewerte ich den hier angebotenen Insektenvernichter auch mit der Maximalpunktzahl in Hhe von 5 Sternen. Ich wrde ihn mir jederzeit wieder besorgen!
Der Insektenvernichter kommt gut und sicher verpackt bei einem zu Hause an.
Die Qualit und die Verarbeitung machen wirklich einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck, deshalb macht der Preis fr mich auch Sinn mit ca. 100.
Die Installation war schnell erledigt und nun sind wir die lstigen Mcken auch los. Vielleicht fr das Schlafzimmer etwas zu hell obwohl die Gre gut gepasst htte aber auch im Wohnzimmer mchte man ungern gestochen werden.
Knnen wir nur weiterempfehlen.
Dieser Insektenvernichter erfllt seine Aufgabe mit Bravour, auch in groen Rumen und im Freien.
Da wir jetzt grade die Zeit haben wo alles wieder zu fliegen beginnt, konnten wir das Gert sowohl auf der Terrasse als auch im Wohnzimmer mit knapp 40m testen, und dies mit viel Erfolg.
Die beiden Leuchtstoffrhren ziehen die Insekten gut an und die Hochspannung im Inneren erledigt dann das Notwendige. Die Leistungsaufnahme liegt dabei nicht wie Angegeben bei 20 Watt, sondern bei gemessenen 17 Watt und 74 mA. Dieser Stromverbrauch ist absolut akzeptabel.
Die Abmessungen ber alles betragen ca. 64 x 33 x 8 Zentimetern bei einem Gewicht von rund 3 Kilogramm. Das es einen Netzschalter am Gert gibt ist positiv, wir haben den Insektenvernichter aber an eine smarte Steckdose angeschlossen um diesen ber eine gesetzte Routine zu schalten.
Die Verarbeitung ist annehmbar und funktionell. Man erkennt aber das nicht die grte Sorgfalt an den Tag gelegt wurde und auch bei den Materialien eher das gnstigere gewhlt wurde.
Die Auffangschale in der die Insekten gesammelt werden, lsst sich mit leichtem Anheben gut entnehmen und subern, sitzt aber ansonsten sicher in der Fhrung und lsst sich auch einfach wieder einsetzen.
Eine Bedienungsanleitung liegt der Lieferung bei und diese ist unter andrem auch auf Deutsch verfasst. Sicherheitsrelevante Kennzeichnungen sind vorhanden, C E — UKCA.
Weiterhin liegt eine Gliederkette zur Aufhngung mit bei, die bei bedarf an sen an der Oberseite des Insektenvernichters eingehngt werden kann. Eine einfache Aufstellung ist auch mglich.
Beim Preis bin ich mit 91,00 Euro nicht ganz einverstanden, dazu fehlt es mir an der Wertigkeit der Verarbeitung und der verwendeten Materialien.
Eine Bewertung mit 4 guten Sternen hat sich dieses Gert aber aufgrund der tadellosen Funktion verdient.
Zunchst mal habe ich gedacht: 76 fr ein 20 Watt Insektenvernichter? Warum ist das Ding deutlich teuer als andere mit hnlicher Leistung?
Ganz einfach, es gibt es hier vier Grnde die aus meiner Sicht absolut berzeugen:
1. Zunchst mal ist es von der Flche her deutlich grer als andere 20 Watt Gerte und bietet damit mehr Einflug/Einfangflche fr die Insekten
2. Das Gert ist sehr gut verarbeitet. Die Metallschutzgitter auen sind sauber verschraubt und hngen nicht einfach in ein paar schwachen Plastiknasen drin. Das hatte ich schon mit einem anderen Gert und da ist es gleich kaputt gegangen.
3. Das Gert verfgt ber einen Schuko-Stecker und die gesamte Metall-Auenhaut inkl. der Schutzgitter sind geerdet. Ich habs durchgemessen, alles sauber mit dem Schutzleiter verbunden. So sollte es sein!
4. Die Auffangschale fr die toten Insekten ist solide und lsst sich gut entnehmen – bei anderen Modellen ist das auch nicht der Fall.
Insgesamt ist das Gert einfach gut verarbeitet. Die 20 Watt Leistung konnte ich auch nachmessen, das betrifft aber nur den Einschaltstrom (also beim Aufladen des Hochspannungskondensators). Im Dauerbetrieb (ohne dass ein Insekt reinfliegt und es “blitzt”) verbraucht das Gert dann 13 Watt.
Das Wirkprinzip (UV Licht lockt die Insekten an, die Spannungsentladung ttet sie zuverlssig) ist wie bei allen diesen Gerten und in Ordnung, funktioniert prima! Das Gert hat mich im Vergleich zu anderen voll berzeugt und ist seinen hheren Preis aus meiner Sicht wert. Von mir daher volle fnf Sterne .

Da kam ein ziemlich groer Karton. Ich muss gestehen, dass ich die in der Produktbeschreibung angegebenen Mae nicht so richtig beachtet hatte. Dieser Fliegenvernichter ist ein Riesending, dass man vielleicht eher in einer Grokche aufhngen wrde, als dass man es neben sich auf den Kaffeetisch stellt. Die Konstruktion macht einen ordentlichen Eindruck, auch wenn der Apparat auf der schmalen Grundflche etwas kippelig steht. Aber man kann ihn mit Hilfe der mitgelieferten Kette auch aufhngen. Zwar haben wir zur Zeit noch nicht die typischen Sommernchte mit der Mckenplage, aber die ersten Tests haben ergeben, dass das Gert gut funktioniert. Die Schublade lsst sich leicht entnehmen und entleeren. So finde ich dieses Gert durchaus empfehlenswert, wenn man nur die Gre beachtet und wo es eingesetzt werden soll. Allerdings finde ich den Preis mit z.Zt. 90.- ziemlich hoch.
Der Fliegenfnger hat die Gre eines Aktenkoffers und ist mit 2
UV-Lichtrhren ausgestatt, die bei diesem Modell in besonders
stromsparender LED-Ausfhrung kommen.
Das drfte auch hauptschlich den vergleichsweise hohen Preis des
Gertes erklren.
Die Vorteil der LED-Rhren lassen sich nicht wegdiskutieren, da diese
sehr hell leuchten und gerade einmal zusammen 20 Watt verbrauchen.
Die Effezientz – gemessen in tote Fliegen pro Zeit – ist dabei berdurch-
schnittlich hoch.
In krzester Zeit fand sich in der entnehmbaren Auffangschale ein Dutzend
toter Fliegen aller Art, obwohl in dem etwa 130 m groen Raum vorher kaum
Fliegen bemerkt wurden.
Im Betrieb ist das Gert praktisch unhrbar. Nur wenn man ganz nahe heran geht,
ist ein leises Summen zu vernehmen.
Sobald aber eine grere Fliege vom UV-Licht angelockt in die Falle geht, gibt es
einen Knall – und das wars dann frs Insekt.
Die Wirkung ist schon beeindruckend und habe ich so bisher noch nicht gesehen.
Das Gert ist aber auch entsprechend gro und wahrlich keine Schnheit.
Das Gehuse und die Auffangschale sind aus Kunststoff, was ich gut finde.
Ansonsten gibt es nur einen kleinen Kippschalter zum Ein- und Ausschalten.
Angeschlossen wird der Fliegenvernichter an einer normalen Steckdose.
Fr einen 20 qm-Raum ist das Gert sicherlich berdimensioniert, aber fr
eine offene Etage, wie bei uns zuhause, ideal.
Aufgrund der hervorragenden Wirkung und dem gleichzeitig sehr geringem
Strombedarf vergebe ich 5 Sterne. Das Preis-Leistungsverhltnis ist knapp im
grnen Bereich, weil das Ding in der Effizienz sicherlich mindestens 3 handels-
bliche Haushalts-Fliegenfnger ersetzt.
I live in a densely populated are with millions of trees and rivers, all very beautiful indeed, however I do not like being a sitting target for the hundreds of insects invading my home and biting in the night even. I do not enjoy killing any creatures, they all have a place in nature but when one is bed bound flying biting insects are not pleasant. I have wanted a blue zapper all my life but never got around to getting one using sticky tape and spays, all useless I admit. But one day I saw the Eazyzap in action in a professional kitchen where no paying customer would like to know flies and such like have nibbled their dinner and who knows what is on their feet, we all know where they like to live. UGH! I have it now and all is well, no more bites or flies in the food. I know it is quite immature but I genuinely am pleased when I find a whole pile in the tray which could have been in our food on laid eggs on it. Best thing I bought for health, we must protect ourselves first, sad as it may appear to nature lovers. I am very much one too. Make up for this by planting and growing more in the garden as best I can with limited injuries. Great buy good price.
This is a review for Eazyzap Energy Efficient LED Fly Killer 20W.
This fly zapper is actually really good. We have this on everyday, all day. We have neighbours with dogs and a fishing shop just down the road, so we tend to get a lot of flies in our area.
The fly zapper doesn’t make any noise, other than when it fries a fly. We currently have it on top of our fridge and it seems to work great there.
There is a metal chain attached to the fly zapper for those of you who want to hang it. We haven’t really seen any rise in our electricity bills since having it on, so I would say it is cost effective.
We currently have this on a timer plug, so comes on at 7am and goes off at 10pm. However, there is a simple on/off switch that you can use to activate it.
Overall, I am happy with this product, I do feel the price is a little on the steep side, especially when others, similar to this one are on the market for cheaper. But, it does do the job.
At the time of this review this fly zapper is 65.99. Now that initially did seem quite expensive, but after unpacking it (it is a little heavy!) i have found that this is well made, sturdy and durable and will likely last years to come. Very easy to set up and even easier to clean out the fly graveyard at the bottom. Would recommend to anyone having issues with flies taking over.

We have had loads of flies this year. More than usual so this was a very welcome review product. It can be placed on top of a shelf/cabinet or it can be hung by the chain that is included. I find the lead a little on the shorter side (2m) especially as this might want to be hung high off the ground.
It works fairly well- it makes a good whipping sound when a fly gets killed on it, and it has a pull out tray on the bottom to catch all of the dead flies.
It does feel a bit on the cheaply side and not massively sturdy which for the price is a little disappointing, however it mostly does what I want it to do.
Basically this is a bigger insects killer that is absolutely perfect for a restaurant or a bigger warehouse. You can aswell use it in your kitchen too as it works absolutely lovely and all it does is to kill insects that are been attracted via the lights.
It is energy efficient which I am pleased with.
Be prepared for this to make you jump. It doesn’t half crack when it gets one. It’s been fantastic for attracting and killing the high numbers of flies we’ve had. The smell is a bit gross when it’s proper frazzled one, but it’s definitely efficient. Replacement bulbs are expensive, so this is going to get some use for years to come.
It may be a bit overkill but living in the countryside right next to a huge meadow, sitting outdoors is quite annoying, especially in summer. I couldn’t enjoy my afternoon and evenings outdoors, having dinner or some drinks in the garden without a billion insects flying around me.
This is the kind of stuff my family used in Spain in summer to keep insects at bay when we ate outdoors in the summer so I figured it’d be a perfect solution here in the UK too despite the insect problem not being as bad.
The item is easy to set up and works a charm. It is quite large so do take that into account (they do sell smaller versions too, however) but it is an excellent way to keep a large area outdoors insect free so you can enjoy yourself without flies in your face (or drink).
My item did arrive in a pretty damaged box which wasn’t ideal but the item inside worked perfectly.
This zapper comes with LED bulbs which is both energy saving and longevity. Only one on/off switch and powered by 3pin UK plug, either on or off no fancy function.
The zapper can be used standing on the ground or hanging with the chains and fixings provided. Weight is just slightly heavier than a convection heater of this size, which is still quite light.
I put this on my patio now flies like daddy long legs will find their way in this zapper instead of my home when I have the patio doors opened. If you have young child you may want to keep this away from them by hanging it up.
Overall, this is a simple and effective zapper, but I feel the price is a bit high for such a simple machine.
I had a smaller version of one of these which is just not up to the job. I am in the top floor of my apartment block and since I moved in I have had a huge problem with pigeons and flies. I keep shooing the pigeons off the balcony but feel bad if they have laid eggs and have allowed them to hatch. I have realised my mistake now and am making sure they do not get enough time to set up home now. So far as the flies are concerned, I am at a loss as to why I have so many in the flat, it is kept clean and there is no food on display anywhere. I am wondering whether it is something to do with all of the pigeons on the roof and all of the debris they leave all over the place. So when I got the chance to try out this mega fly zapper I just could not say no. Well – its big, its bright and it is quite heavy and to be totally honest it is not the prettiest thing I have seen. But – it does the job. I am already seeing a reduction in the number of flies about the place. In a commercial setting this would be perfect I am sure and keep the area relatively free of flying insects.
This is such a large fly killer, not ideal for home use, it’s more likely to be used in a warehouse or a restaurant, only tried it for couples days it does the killing jobs but too bright and large for home.

a bright, light and well made item. has a little tray underneath that you can use to empty the dead bugs.
perhaps a misunderstanding on my part, but it only works at night as in the bugs don’t go near it during the day.
but when it’s on at night, you can certainly hear the pops!
the only reason for knocking a star off is that the bug tray is very wobbly and doesn’t fit snugly into place as you might expect.
This electric zapper is suitable for large spaces. It hangs from a chain and the flies don’t stand a chance. I store food for birds, fish and hedgehogs and we have a couple of hedgehogs that have made their home near the room where I store so they alone attract flies plus we have a dog and obviously if I don’t clear his mess up straight away the flies love it. This makes short work of killing them and you can actually hear them being zapped. This works much better than a fly screen across the door and saves running round with fly spray like a madwoman.
This was fantastic and a bit shocking (pun intended).
We live near fields with horses in it and so get a lot of flies but this was great cleared out the house very quickly. The only thing 2 things you need to consider is the loud crack/pop noise that comes from when a fly goes too close. The second thing is there lots of dead flies and bits of dead flies that then litter below the zapper. However it’s quit satisfying to watch the flies get blown to bits and this goes for mosquitos and other flying insects. I ad 2 smaller portable zappers and they worked well but this has a much better capacity. Recommended.
As you remove the item from its box you note it flexes easily meaning the materials it is made from are not the most substantial.
It is a decent size with a 1.9M cable. It has a proper rating plate, it is CE marked has and all the appropriate warnings. Although made in the PRC it has the backing of a UK company. You simply plug it in and switch it on. At only 16W it is very economical. There is a chain for hanging.
I found the dead fly tray came out a little too easily. The paint on the lugs scratched when the chain was attached.
I believe it is not designed for day-to-day handling, rather to be placed and left to get on with its job.
The fly zapper is delivered in a large cardboard box stuffed with brown paper. The unit is quite heavy at just over 2kg and measures 8.6 x 35 x 27.2 cm. A simple chain is supplied with the unit which hooks onto plastic lugs protruding from the top of the unit. It can be hung from the ceiling but you need a very secure hook which will take the weight and it needs to be close to an electric socket because the cable is only about 2 metres long. (I don’t have a socket that is suitable so I’ve ended up placing the unit on top of my fridge freezer which isn’t ideal).
There is a removable tray which catches the dead insects, it fell out when i lifted the unit up but was awkward to put back into place, (you have to get it very straight to slide back in). The unit is easy to turn on and off with a simple rocker switch. It emits a very bright blue light when on and is rather annoying. It makes a zapping sound when insects fly into it and they fall into the tray which is handy.
The unit is fairly sturdy but the price 46.74 at time of review is quite high compared to similar products and I can’t see why there is such a difference between this and others. The LED tubes are available on Amazon but they are supposed to last for 10,000 hours so shouldn’t need replacing for quite a while. It works well and seems to attract flies to it so I’m happy with it but I would have preferred a longer electric cable and stronger connection for the chain.
This is so great! Now I can rest peacefully in the summer when mosquitos manage to find a way into the house.

This comes with everything you need including a small hanging chain. I have one of these in the garage, up near the ceiling. Now I don’t have to hassle with super-sticky fly strips, chemicals or even fly swatters.
It is for indoor use only. Do not put this outside, unless you can monitor it. It can’t get wet.
Also, not for use where large amounts of grain dust could be present, like a barn, stables, grain silo, etc. as grain dust could explode if ignited by a spark.
This will kill annoying, flies, fruit flies, drain flies, mosquitoes, moths, stink bugs, ladybugs and lots more.
Fairly large fly killer that needs a decent hanging bolt. Doesn’t look particularly pretty but it does work well. This is really for commercial use or for those who have horrible infestation. It’s definitely overkill for most houses.
