This is basically a light box with a small turntable and a timer. I use it to cure my 3D resin prints, and it does that just fine. It costs more than a few UV lights and a battery, but the transparent turntable and the reflective internal surface allows light to reach most of the surface of a single, or multiple objects. The timer is easy to use, and the whole thing is just a handy little device. It won’t cope with large or heavy objects, so you may find the larger printers produce objects which need a larger version of this (which are available).
I would buy one again, purely for the convenience.
Probs not the cheapest but spot on to finish off my 3d resin prints
Awesome Product does what it’s supposed to do and looks cool doing it highly recommended
This product takes out a great deal of time in drying models. My grandson loves it.
Neat and funtional.. Does what it’s meant to. not for huge models but most will fit and be done quickly. Turntable is very useful simple and good. Well built and nea
Very happy with this machine, it’s small enough to be stored without taking up alot of space, but can still easily fit a decent amount of minis. Also looks very smart sitting on the desk.
So glad I bought this. Perfect for Mars prints. The buttons are touch sensitive so you don’t actually have to press them as such, all in all, well worth the money.
Essential bit of kit, I’ve had it for a few days and I’m really happy with it.
It’s build is bulletproof, full metal casing and handle that feels rigid and unbreakable. It offers a brightly lit chamber which is quick to cure resin prints. The UV LEDs are very effective and the whole thing is very quiet, as the only moving part is the detachable turntable which feeds off of the UV rays and requires no battery to run.
The turntable feels a little delicate, but they look relatively inexpensive and if broken is easily replaced with no installation as it just sits on the tray on the bottom.
This makes the curing process really very easy. Pop the print into the chamber and set the timer. Return later and it’s done.
for 60 quid its a bargain feels quality made well , works well , get one is all i got to say about it could do with being just a tiny bit taller inch or two then it would be the best thing since sliced bread .
This makes curing prints so easy. It’s constructed of very thick metal, far thicker than necessary, or expected with good controls that are very light to operate. The only thing that lets it down is the bottom which is also the rotating table is not secured to the body a all, so when you pick it up the bottom is always left behind! I have made a couple of simple twist catches so that the base can be held in place by twsting the top a few degrees. Such a simple solution should have been obvious to Elegoo and would add almost nothing to the cost.
Bought this to match my new Elegoo Mars 2 Resin Printer. Living in the UK during the gloomy days and long nights time of the year – I thought this would be a more reliable curing option than daylight.
So far it has proven to cure my prints quickly and evenly. The Mars 2 can only print small models, so this curing light is a very good match – would imagine not good enough for bigger format resin printers.
As a frequent 3D printer hobbyist I’ve been contemplating building my own led curing station for a while.
But when I saw this, I was swayed and I haven’t looked back.
The build quality is excellent.
It’s big enough to take my biggest 3D resin prints and the timer makes it a doddle to use.
My only niggle is the placement of the power socket on the TOP of the unit rather than being round the back or on the base, but I can forgive that.
Why botch a unit together when for a few quid more this gives you a quality item?
The turntable doesn’t have an on off switch. You want it to stop turning you have to take the battery out.
Cures prints really quickly and looks pretty sleek next to my Mars pro, only downside is the timers touch control can be a bit annoying. You’ll press the button and nothing will happen but you just turn it off and on again and it’ll be fine again.
Great little curing station for resin prints. Just fits some of my larger prints, though sometimes need to leave supports on for curing to keep print vertical. The veiwing window is helpful to keep an eye on the curing process.
Perfect for curing small to medium sized prints from the elegoo mars and other small resin printers! It’s definitely made things a lot easier for me!
Have been using the curing station for a few prints now and finding it works very well for the price. The inclusion of a removable solar powered turntable inside also offers a little extra value as an external turntable to take video of products, the only possible inclusion which would improve it is some form of further feedback when stepping through times and when the cure time completes.
I’m glad I got it on a lightning deal and didn’t pay full price. The build quality is good, the turntable is a bit cheap. Its good overall but the buttons could be better, sometimes the + button does not work.
For the price this little Curing Machine can’t be beat. It’s not huge but I only have an Elegoo Mars resin printer and I can fit anything printed on the Mars into this machine.
Previously I had been using nail lamps and tin foil boxes and it was taking ages to cure my prints, often an hour or more.
With this little thing I just pop them in for 4 or 5 minutes and they are done. The device is fairly basic, a simple lift off case which holds the UV lights and the timer settings. Then on the base is a simple solar powered turntable which automatically turns when the UV light hits it which I thought was genius.
Wished I had seen this product before messing around with variety of UV lights and foil etc.
Simple solution with light powered turntable. Lift lid off put model on turntable replace lid and set timer, press on button and thats it. Neat, small footprint on my desk, low cost.
It cures the prints brilliantly, however it is somewhat narrow. For pieces that stand well on their own it is absolutely perfect. For the more awkward prints, it can be a hassle.
Overall, it’s very effective, doesn’t take up much room, makes next to no sound and is incredibly easy to use.
My first order arrived damaged and not working at all.. second order look’s like working for now lol. Good curing box for this price and doit great job. Not biggest turn table but it’s enough. 2 orders had same manufactury damage on reflecting walls but it’s not that bad to send it back again .Curing much faster then my Bread bin with led strips. Giving 4 stars for firs damaged order. Money worth little curing box !!
Exactly what you would expect. Solid metal outer shell, with timer. Nice viewing window. Led’s seem powerful. Perfect for curing miniatures etc.
Fantastic little thing, fine for mars prints, solar turntable works adequately 2 rows of UV led and reflective interior scatters the UV suitably. Timer shuts of LEDs giving you one less thing to worry about. No power off button means you will need to have this on a mains switch, or pull the plug when not in use – that’s probably good safety regime anyway. Mine is set up next to the mars, so, print, wash and cure are next to each other.
I had been looking to replace my McGivered curing set up with something more compact because it was a pain to set up and take down. The Mercury came up in my suggestions .It ticked all the boxes for me so I bought one.
The Mercury is in two parts, a metal cover which contains the uv lights and timer and a plastic base which holds the turntable.
The cover is constructed of something like 0.8mm steel, which is powder coated so is quite sturdy and weighted. There is a substantial lifting handle on top as the buttons to set and turn the timer on and off. The timer can be set in 30 second increments upto a maximum of 9 and a half minutes.
The plastic base is moulded to take a standard solar turntable.
Pro’s, Compact footprint, simple to set up and use, robust construction, built in timer and has a neat tinted viewing window so you can watch your curing go round and round.
Cons, the timer buttons can seem a little slow to respond when pressed, maybe thst’s me or maybe Eloogo used old technology for the timer.
Overall I am happy with this purchase. It is more compact and less hassle than my old set up and it cures resin surprisingly fast.
First of all the positive. It works really well.
3 minutes and my prints are cured. I like the timer on the top
The negative are the turntable is very cheap feeling but luckily my old one fits.
The base is terrible, it’s like the bottom off a storage tube but not as good quality.
The internal reflective surface looks a bit meh also
