Love this product, slow working be patient but it will eventually get on top of pea soupers. Harmless to frogs and tadpoles. Be prepared to continually clean out your filter, I use fine wadding

I’d been given the task of restoring my ill Father’s neglected pond. Picture the slimiest, most stagnant bog you’ve ever seen and that’s still not even close to how horrid this pond was. Surprisingly there were fish actually living in it as well.
After repairing and ordering spare parts for the beat up filter box that he’d somehow managed to shoot a hole in with an air pistol(!) I now had to deal with the mountain of sludge sitting in the pond. Using the net only got me so far so I tried various sludge clearing products with little success.
I saw Envii Sludge Klear being used in an online video so decided to give it a try. I followed the instructions on the packet and after two days I looked out of the window and had to make sure my eyes weren’t playing tricks. I could actually see the fish! A week later and I could see the bottom of the pond!
After a few uses the pond is now clear, the pump doesn’t get jammed and I don’t have to clean the filters every day. The fish are also a lot more lively and seem quite happy.
I have used this before and it does what it says on the packet and I was impressed to receive a follow up email giving additional technical support.
We only have a small pond which we cleared (of a lot of sludge) during lockdown. The water went green again in the hot weather pretty quickly. Bought these to try and clear it and used 2 tablets at a time for three weeks. I didn’t see much change for a while but then I don’t have a pump and the write up did say it could take a while. Well, several weeks later I can report that it really does work! The water is really clear and clean looking. I’ve bought the liquid version to keep it that way. It’s easy to use and does what it’s meant to. Just have a little patience initially… it will happen!
I used the product to help to clear the bottom of the pond
Make sure the pond is properly calculated and clean the filters . It is not a quick fix
It seems to work well and used in conjunction with Envii Klea

By far the best pond cleaner products I’ve ever bought in weeks my pond has gone from completely dirty and murky to clear right to the bottom fish happy doing belly flops will keep buying this product all time.
We have two interconnecting ponds and they were full of goldfish and koi to many for the ponds after visit from a heron we lost about 50 goldfish the were far to many for the ponds and the water had become very murky. We used the first delivery within the time suggested and now we are into our second delivery. The ponds are starting to look how they should. I would recommend these but it takes time and patience.
This has definitely had a positive effect – and we’ve tried a lot of other things before it!

My pond had become covered in blanket weed & looked like pea soup.
I have treated for a second time as the old saying little is more.
My pond is starting to look less murky & fish are looking a lot happier blanket weed contained & my kockney koi filter is flowing & running free.
U V light will be switched back on in a couple of days thus to enhance the water filtration to eventually become clearer.
Does exactly as promised, starts working straight away . Breaks down sludge leaving a crystal clear pond .

Seems to work. I’ve only got a 50 gallon pond so thought it would work fairly quick. First Tablet took 5 days to clear the sludge, which ended up in the filter. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to turn off the uv light on my pump/filter, which might be the reason it took longer.
I have only used this once and so far very little difference but my pond water was like pea soup, I believe it will improve as the weeks pass
The day after each treatment the amount of green sludge and algae trapped in the filter and that I was able to net out of the water quadrupled so I must be working. I’ve only used for four weeks so I’ll keep going to see what happens.
One major negative is that I would not but the product again from Amazon. All six of the tablets were completely crumbled to dust in the bottom of the packet. This made dosing more of a guess by having to try to divide the powder into equal measures. Hopefully the garden centres will re-open so I can look for it there to try again.
Delivery fast, I used three tablets as my fairly large wildlife pond was pretty yuk and it did serve to clear it. I will use regularly to maintain a good balance of healthy bacteria in my pond
I used this product as instructed but after 2 weeks nothing seemed to have happened,i used some more 3 days later most of the sludge in my pond had disapeared,i think i was just impatient,lesson learned give things time to work. I am very happy with this product.
As our pond is not large it was really trial and error with the amount we used. Still in process of attempting to get it right.
Like Envii products and this was no disappointment either, pond looks lovely and clear just a day after adding two tablets (5000 ltr pond) and have some left for using again in a few weeks and again after.
l`m a relatively new pond owner and was confronted with string algae for the first time last year. l decided that l needed to get the pond water in the best possible state before it tried to take over this year.
My understanding was that l needed to clear the sludge from the bottom of the pond, hence these tablets. The water is now crystal clear and the debris on the bottom is diminishing. l`m continuing to stir it up and re-treat as recommended, so hope l might gain the upper hand this year!
I inherited a pond with my new house and had no idea how to maintain it. The instructions on sludge klear are easy to follow and the results are noticeable after a few days. I’ve never seen my pond so clear! I would definitely recommend.
Noticed a nasty smell coming from my pond, the water was dark and fish were very sluggish.(two died so removed remaining to large bucket of water from the rain butt) First application helped with the smell but needed subsequent treatments before water started to clear. Improving now and have just bought Pond Clear liquid to hopefully complete treatment so can put fish back. Don’t be impatient…
Used to clear up pond after blanket weed treatment. Worked well so far, treatment ongoing so just completed initial dose. Will review rating once treatments completed and upon rating if all clear!
Did a good job took a couple of applications but pond nice and clear now does the job
Easy to use and clumps all the muck at the bottom of the pond so that you can either leave it to break down or net it and remove it. Beware of trapping tadpoles , newts etc in the clumps if removing. There were loads in mine so I left it at the side of the pond for a few days.
Our pond has turned very green over this Summer and I tried Envil Sludge Klear to see if it would help where other algae treatments have failed. I turned off the UV light and have cleaned the filter as per the instructions. So far there is some improvement but it has not magically cleared the whole pond. I am going to persevere and try a second treatment.
I had a bad case of blanket/algae and have used three products POND EQUALISER .ALGAE KLEAR AND SLUDGE KLEAR all from envii.
Now 4 weeks from the start of the treatment and the pond is nearly clear. I think with a bigger pump it would have been by now

Does what it says after 2 treatments we can see the bottom of the pond but it does take a while just follow the instructions.
My pond has suffered from long term neglect and has a thick layer of sludge. I can’t remove manually due to presence of wildlife like newts but I want to reduce it. This product has been used several times now along with an algae treatment and the condition is improving slowly without damaging the fish or anything else noticeable. I plan a long term campaign.
I used this product along with other suggestions for a clean .sludge free pond and in a few short weeks it look so much better. I would definitely recommend this product despite its slightly high price ,I feel it is worth it .
I will use it again next year if I have the same issues with my pond.

Works well,but I needed to buy a second pack. My pond was extremely sludgy.
Easily used but you must read the instructions fully and carefully as the product needs at least two hours “brewing” prior to its’ introduction into the pond.
It’s too early yet to be able to judge the effect of the treatment as it can take a few applications to be completely effective.
This product seems to be working ok, will order more when needed
My garden pond – not sure of the size as it has steps inside so wasn,t sure how much to use .I used 2 but my pond is still a little sludgy. Maybe I need to use another one

We used this for our koi pond, as there was a lot of sludge and we tried everything else, but nothing would touch it, so we had to clean our 500 gallon pond every 3 months, we thought we would try one more thing, before we decided to sell it, and WOW This stuff really works a treat, and we thank you so much, and will defo be buying this product again.
We have a very neglected pond – not done anything with it for over 12 months so the sludge had built up. We used all of our tablets in one go & the pond is slowly clearing.
Easy to use following the instructions. Pond hadn’t been cleaned for a few years and was full of sludge.
Already the pond is clearer and I can see the fish once more.
It will take some time to remove the mess but certainly I believe the product to do as it says it would.
Will re-order at a later date.

Used this for the first time not really believing that it would be any good and was surprised how well it cleared my small pond from a build up of sludge and muck. I only had to use a very small amount so the tablets will last me a long time.
Very easy to use. Not sure how well it removes smells from my duck pond. Certainly improves for a short while. Will keep persevering
Instructions on how much to use for different sized ponds could be clearer. I used one tablet for my small pond and saw good results but will probably have to use repeat the process.
It works but not for long you have to turn off the uv for it to work this is not a good thing.
We don’t keep fish and our small pond was untouched for over a year. When I tackled it found I deep sludge at the bottom. I scooped out what I could and then sent for Envil Sludge Klear. The day after I used it I could see the bottom of the pond and the frogs were back. Very pleased!
Fantastic product and just what I was after. Not a quick-fix for sludge, but the results are certainly worth the wait! I inherited a small unkept wildlife pond with my house, which looked stagnant and swamp like. After a small water change and just 3 treatments of this, I can already make out the stones at the bottom!
Having done a major clear and tidy of our pond early this summer we disturbed a lot of sludge and algae and our normally clear water became very murky.
Using this with pond klear and it’s slowly working. I can see where sludge is clearing off the stones on the bottom and our water is getting clearer.
You must clean the filters and pump every few days. I have been mesmerised by how much sludge they’re getting.

In an attempt to get things under control and having heard good things about Sludge Klear, I thought that I’d give it a go. I have to say that I am impressed! Within a week of the first application there was a noticeable improvement in clarity – things underwater, for some time unseen, were becoming visible again!
I will hopefully be able to get my pump and filter back in action soon but this treatment is a very good start!
It takes some time to clear but if you follow the instructions the sludge does start to go it’s very easy to apply but you do need to be patient. My pond hasn’t been cleared in years and I have had to scoop a lot of sludge out too but the water is really clear now after 2.5 weeks.
Amazed at how quickly it started to work. I filled a bucket of pond water as instructed added the tablet. within a couple of minutes the sludge from the pond water had separated itself and was lying at the bottom of the bucket. leaving clear water !! Would certainly recommend. Will be ordering again..
Have since received another order, My pond water has never been as clear as it is now. Well worth every penny.. Highly recommended.

some other stuff. I followed all the instructions, cleaned my filter out, turned of the UV. Used a triple dose to give it a boost.
I did not expect instant results but by the next day I could see my fish on the bottom of the pond! I was really pleased.
My water was not overly bad, it was pleasantly tea coloured but lots of dirt particals suspended so you could only see the fish
when 5 inches near the surface. Not sure about sludge on the bottom, I shall carry on with the dosing and see how it goes.
So far so good. Personally I dont like crystal clear water, it never looks natural and you can see all the pond baskets, filter tubes
etc. I like clear light tea coloured water. My goldfish never complain they always seem very happy.
It’s difficult to say how well it is working. The pond is clearer but I have (inherited) a filter with U.V (not used as per instructions) and have added Blagdon’s green remover. Only (a liitle more) time will tell.
The filters need cleaning every 2 days, so something is working-:) update to follow
Didn’t quite clear all the sludge, but did improve the clrity of the water.
So far very pleased but it will take a number of months to see a significant difference as there is a lot of sludge but so far so good as I don’t want to empty the pond and disturb the wild life.
Just put it in pond and you can definitely see the difference, will probably be ordering more
This is the second pouch I’ve bought. It’s great. I double dosed first and now I treat my pond once a month. I knew it was working when I ‘harvested’ some of the hornwort in August and the end pieces weren’t covered in a thick yucky sludge. Just a very light coating and it shook off! Just got to get to know the product and my pond a bit better to find what suits it.
Easy to use still waiting for result as we has a pretty bad cover of green but has improved somewhat for the better but sun comes out and it blooms again might think about some shade to supliment and help the pond out so I can’t blame this product as nature finds a way. Used according to the instructions and it has worked well. Couldnt see the fish until they were near the surface but now the water is so clear we can see them at the bottom of the pond. Filter was full of sludge so its done its job. Would definitely use again but hopefully wont have to use it for a while

I am a complete pond novice and I am learning as I go at me the pond we have inherited with our new house. I have used several Envil products in conjunction with the sludge clear. There is a huge difference in the pond. From being covered in blanket weed and brown and cloudy. The pod weed has almost cleared completely and the water is much much clearer. So much so that I can now see we had fish, lots! There is still a way to go as the starting point was so bad but I am really pleased with the results so far. I’m going to add some more Sludge clear today and clean the filters (grim job) and know I will see even more improvement.
Although much of my green water remains the help and support given by Bio8 is really good. I have a bit more work to do with the filters and water tests and am optimistic that it will clear to an acceptable level.
This product works. As the description says, it may take time, it is not an instant fix. I am currently using it with Envii Pond clear Extra and together they are clearing the murky green water that my pond has been suffering with this summer.
Pity you can’t just throw these tablets into the pond and let them do their magic! However they did do the job

I inherited my pond with the recent purchase of a new house. After a bit of fiddling, some Googling and YouTubing I had a fountain, and (very green) water running through the filter and eventually arriving at the top of a waterfall via a lions mouth. After a few days of cleaning the filters 2/3 times a day the water started to get a bit thinner, albeit still very green. I found and ordered Sludge Klear, I also found out about uv bulbs! Who knew?!
So using the Sludge Klear I have petty much followed the instructions, although I don’t know how many litres the pond holds, I’m pretty certain its no larger than 5000 litres. I gave it a double dose to begin with and switched the light off for 4 days, true to the instructions after a few days the pond was very cloudy, and more gunge in the filters. After a week I added a single dose and switched the light off for 2 days, again the pond got more cloudy, towards the end of the second week the pond was definitely improving with water clarity. I put another single dose in three days ago, there has been a definite improvement in the water. I can start to see the fish when they are below the surface, and today I saw three fish. Since the beginning of all this I had only ever seen one! Still more time to pass to give Sludge Klear its full six weeks or so, but definitely so far so good.
Be patient this doesn’t work straight away. Its taken 3 weeks but we`ve got there and I`m very pleased. I can actually see my fish now!
This product seems to be more of a slow burner. There is certainly a marked improvement in sludge removal and the filters require noticeably more cleaning than normal so it is obviously working but in my case I think it may need a second treatment to back up the initial effect. I would recommend this product and the selling company who were a pleasure to deal with.
Seems to do the job. I can still see sludge and some algae but I guess it will take time and it’s still prefable to use this rather than lots of strong chemical concoxtions.
My pond was really bad, so I think it did do its job. I will drain my pond later in the year and use the p[rodust ahain.
This item arrived quickly; it was surprising by its size and was put through the letterbox. We had little confidence it would make significant difference to the pond when the water was already a gloomy shade of black, and signs were apparent that the sludge was already breaking up. The instructions were a little confusing but this was not helped by our spectacular ability to overlook the most obvious requirement – to dissolve the first two tablets in pond water. We dissolved them in tap water! The third dissolved tablet we forgot about and promptly watered the garden with it. Oh dear, not much hope for good results at all. We also put one of those barley straw pouches in the water at the same time. Yet in a couple of weeks the look of the pond was transformed. We cleaned the pump filter (which was full of sludge) maybe four times, but the water, while not devoid of bits that can be churned up, is clear down several inches. Previously, fish could only be seen when feeding on the surface. The product seems expensive for not much in the container, but we would highly recommend as extremely effective.
green in Spring and we haven’t seen a fish until almost Autumn. We’ve tried
planting (much to the delight of our grass carp), as many chemical remedies
to reduce the algal bloom as there are on the market and traditional barley
hay. It’s safe to say that we have never known what eventually gets on top
of the problem, it just clears one day.
This year however is different. We introduced your product in early April
during which, luckily for us, there was a really cold spell which,
presumably, delayed the onset of our annual algal bloom problem. The product
states that it works at cold temperatures but nevertheless given our 10 year
experience of green water and the multiple products used I must say not much
success was anticipated. I’m delighted to state that I was completely wrong.
I followed up with a second dose a week later and at about one month from dose
one I’ve added a third. We’re now mid May and the pond is delightfully clear
despite the warmer weather and long daylight hours. We no longer have to
wait until feeding time for a glimpse of a fish mouth!
Further, the slurry I remove from the filter box no longer sends a whiffy
bad eggs aroma up my nose when I lift the lid and I suppose this is a
further effect of the product.
