Great product. Very good value for money. It took my husband (with a bit of help from me reading the instructions under 2 hours to assemble. Looks really good. Very pleased.
Easy to assemble, just takes a bit of time. Only used once so far, but looks like it will do the job for a few years to come.
Arrived later than stated but understandable in the current climate.
Very easy to put together, every part fitted exactly.
Would really recommend this product.
Despite reviews husband took 1.5 hours to build and is impressed with the finish. Good value for money. Delivery took longer than stated however with current circumstances understandable.
Very pleased with the bbq… took around 2.5 hours to build with 2 people… seems sturdy and good quality…
Just the assembly of the bbq, took a couple of hours, other than that fine. Running on butane gas I changed the fitment regulator (does state propane only in description) only changed as I had a bottle in garage already. Works fine.
No problem assembling. Stable and solid piece of kit. Only used once so far but found cooking easy to control. Bought the cover, with discount, at the same time. Pleased with purchase at the moment, now put away for the winter!
Once built it’s great. Sturdy. Perfect…. however when it arrives in 1000 different parts with Chinese instructions and holes in the wrong place. You’ll need patience of a saint!
Best BBQ I have had. Burners are cast iron, griddle and hot plate are enamelled plate steel and are heavy. Easy to clean and use.
The burners light ist time every time and are very controllable. Exterior is all stainless steel.no rust of any kind even after being outside all winter although I have it on a wooden platform to make it taller. This probably keeps the damp out, it also has a grillman heavy duty cover on to protect it. It has a couple of small niggles. 1. The control knob position marking dots painted on the face plate just wipe off when cleaning but it is quite obvious which is high and low.
2. The BBQ itself is very low so you stand over the top of it. I made a stand which is six inches higher and is perfect. It also makes the cover just the right length. I am 5′ 10″ so not that tall.
Overall I am very happy and have used it constantly.
Great bbq. I’ve always used a charcoal bbq. But wanted a gas one for convinence. This fits the bill perfectly. Fairly straight forward to assemble and good quality. Would recommend especially for price.
We love this barbeque. I put it together on my own in 2 hrs 36 mins with a coffee break in between!!! It cooks really well. Cleans easily. It is sturdy and I think it will be well used in the next few weeks!! We bought a good cover for it to keep it dry and clean. Very pleased. Would highly recommend it!!
The instructions for putting it together were not too clear and only realised after putting on some of the handles that there were hooks to be attached. It took a bit of guesswork to also figure out which screws to use. The “box” with screws had numbers on it but the manual did not refer to it. In all, it took 1.5 hrs with two people to put it together. The 2 cover plates that go over flames are very sharp and ended up cutting my thumb so handle with care.
I forgot to put foil on the drip tray but at the end it was not too hard to clean. The griddle and wire rack pans are quite easy to clean and are sturdy with a good coating.
The bbq heated up quickly and have now used it 3 times and very happy with the results.
I would certainly recommend this bbq.
Waited to do the review until we had used it for a while. We are happy with it. Nice big grill, even heat. Looks nice , would recommend
Pleasantly surprised, easy to build, looks the part.
Great value for money. A couple of friends have bbq’s that cost 400 – 500, this one is not that far behind them.
Bought this BBQ 3 years ago & it’s great. Value for money is amazing. I’ve left mine out in the snow & rain (cover on) since day one & is still in great condition. We BBQ every week! Will defo buy a Fire Mountain again!
Great BBQ, slightly more expensive than our previous one but definitely worth spending more. Easy to assemble. The hot plate makes easy work of burgers and sausages- no big flare ups!
The advert stated cast iron burners, thsts why we went for it but it has stainless steel ones which i hope will last. The packet of nuts and bolts was open and all over the box, in every corner, not as easy to assemble when not knowing what bolt goes where and if there are any missing. Other than that a dream to put together, so i am told!
Overall I’m happy with the product used it a couple of times now and seems to work as advertised.
I had a slight issue with some faulty parts in the box but when I raised it with the supplier they sent replacement parts as soon as they could and the problem is now fixed.
The assembly is a long process alot of parts and not the clearest instructions, 2 people would be advised as some of the assembly would be really fiddly with one.
But overall good quality the grills are solid and seems to hold temp very well
Love this BBQ!! Ready to cook in no time, food tastes great. Economical on gas. The build is quite complex but I chose the Amazon Assembly Service – which was excellent. The only slight negative if I’m being picky is that the grills take some cleaning – best to do a heat clean before every use. Even so I would highly recommend!
Barbecue went together fairly easily according to my husband. It looks good, and looks easy to clean, as it has ceramic grills. Looking forward to trying it out.
I have not used the bbq yet having just finished assembling it. I am very pleased with the quality. The bits went together fine and the instructions were easy to follow. It took me quite a while but I am happy with the result. Most of the assembly can be done by one person although another pair of hands is useful at times, just to hold bits in place whilst locating the screws. I was glad of the tip, from another reviewer, to put the hose in boiling water to make it more pliable as that was the most difficult part of the process.
Its not easy to construct but its not difficult either just take your time and be methodical. The cooking is efficient and can it can cope with a lot of food. Only used it a couple of times but am pleased with the decision to buy
Happy with the overall useability. Hard to get griddle out for cleaning is my only critism
Looks great. Took about 4 hours to put together but we were in no rush. Used it and took apart for cleaning, no problem. Makes a nice addition to the patio. Plenty of room to put plates, sauces and the hangers for BBQ utensils and cloths come in handy.
Very easy to assemble and is very sturdy. Cooks the food very fast and i love the hot plate, First time cleaning was hard going but after that it has been very easy to clean.
Easy to assemble if you are accustomed to building flat packs. Instructions poor otherwise. Read and observe part markings for best experience. Took about 2 hours. Grills are heavyweight and seem good quality. I think Regular check of screw is advisable as e.g. lid held on by 2 screws which will slacken with use. Haven’t used yet but came with everything. Hose, regulator only need to buy gas. Looks good for the price and seems good value.
Quite simple to put together on your own. Although a lot of the parts were damaged and bent on arrival, whether that was from delivery I cannot say but make sure you check before you rip all the plastic and cardboard off
Arrived on time and went together really well. Only problem bit was attaching the legs through into a blind hole but got there eventually, took about 2 hours to build. Only used it once so far but the food cooked really well. Cleaning the griddle was okay but did hold a lot of the grease etc. on the griddle rather than draining away into the drip tray. The real test for it will be when we get into the summer time and we are using it all the time. So far so good.
Hardest part was getting cover to fit as most appeared oversized.
First Gas cylinder expensive but subsequent refills cheap.
My neighbour has this so I knew it was good. Did not disappoint. Such a great BBQ for the price, my friends all comment on it. A bit fiddly to put together but that may just be me – be patient as the end result is worth it.
Great bbq. Took 1.5 hours to build on my own. Like fun jigsaw but take time to understand parts.
BBQ looks great, heats up fast. Very stable and solid. I line the drip tray with foil.
TIP:- ensure the bbq is on flat surface. Mine was tilted back slightly and fats in griddle plate oozed over the back and missed the drip pan. Now I know this is addressed and ok. Used 4 times and love it.
With the summer being so hot in Brittan this year we have used this bbq almost daily. Took about an hour to set up but works a treat. Very sturdy and just looks nice. We love that the grill is spli
As GAS BBQs go this one was relatively easy to build with a couple of your own tools – socket set for the wheels, screwdriver… Once built then the BBQ is excellent – the griddle plate cooks steak etc very well getting just the right balance of char from the open grill at the end of cooking. Would definitely recommend
I love this Barbeque. But if there is a down side to it. It’s not a conventional barbeque like we’re used to in England. You don’t use charcoal. It’s just a glorified oven with a griddle and hot plate.
More difficult to put together than I expected and took me a few hours to complete. However the finished product is a great looking barbecue. So far no problems and barbecue cooks great.
This is our third gas barbecue. We had an outback, which was nice; and then another Outback, which was rubbish – and which actually put us off barbecuing. It was with delight that, after a couple of years, we decided it was sufficiently corroded that we could take it to the dump. This BBQ, by contrast, actually cooks food, looks nice, and will probably last 3 or 4 years in British weather, rather than 1-2. Personally, I do most of my cooking on the griddle side; but both this and the grill are made of heavy enamelled cast iron, rather than the wire that bends in the heat on cheaper barbecues. Highly recommended!
Excellent BBQ which was easy to put together (just need time and common sense) and is incredible value.
This is probably the most solid BBQ I’ve ever used and extremely quick to heat up – love it.
BBQ arrived today, timely and well packaged. However, it says ‘some assembly required’ and this is an understatement. My husband is a competent builder and took about an hour and a half to assemble. Firstly, a spanner was provided but did not fit every nut and in some cases you needed two spanner’s to tighten the nuts properly. Then, you also needed a range of screwdrivers (phillips and slot head) and it comprises 47 pieces – be prepared! Once assembled it seems fairly sturdy and good value for money. We haven’t used it yet!
A really well constructed BBQ, allow a couple of hours to put together and it will feel so robust and solid
Remember that this BBQ only works with propane don’t use butane cylinders because their pressure is too high.
Use the correct gas and you will get great cooking control and results
The whole barbecue was okay until I tried to fit the side panels which supported the hood. The side panels were not flush, and therefore had to go and buy longer nuts and bolts to secure the sides, otherwise all seems fine
It did indeed take 2 hours of painstaking putting together but the end result was worth it. The instructions could be a whole lot clearer and you will need your own tools.
Overall very happy and would recommend.
The BBQ its self is good, Instructions ok, but could be a bit clearer but it took along time to build and when it came to putting on the legs you really need 2 people.
In terms of performance it ticks all the boxes, and the solid construction indicates it should last well
Quite powerful on barb day so let it light on full after 5 minutes turn all nobs down low and let the food cook slowly .
All in all great price good delivery excelle
well made with everything fitting as it should. It will pay off reading and studying the diagrams.”pictures say it all”.One thing you can not do is to place your gas cylinder directly under the burners on the rack you see in the diagram. (asking for trouble).
The service was first class
I wanted to wait to use it before writing a review.
It is well worth the money! Fantastic bbq. You are certain when ever you put food on this that it will all be well cooked. As before our charcoal one didn’t always?!.
The only down side, was that it took a good few hours to set it up. There were lots of bits and pieces to it. But now it’s up, it definitely looks the part!
We are very happy with it.
The product comes in pieces and it is a great pleasure to assemble. Everything lines up beautiful, every part has been made with great precision. It is very well thought. I have cleaned and done an initial burn for 45 minutes on full power.
The thermometer was showing 320 degrees Celsius which I think it’s the max heat it can get to. The product is great and it looks good.
However, pleased with the end result and was able to use it for the first time yesterday.
Impressive results.
My one reservation is that it dripped fat and meat juices onto the patio from the rear corner of the bbq. I assume the bbq was not entirely flat and therefore the dripping juices missed the drip tray.
Well worth the price. I managed to put it together myself. Got stuck at bots that go on top but thanks to amazon reviews and photos I realised what I was doing wrong.
I would say I have an impossible to resist compulsion to research items before I purchase. I spent hours on amazon and other sites, reading every spec and review. Comparing every aspect.
In the end it came down to this, and the Cosmo 6 burner (also available from amazon). I chose this because of the enamelled grills and the fact half is a griddle plate.
I think, without doubt I made the right choice.
I see a lot of complaints about people struggling to put it together etc, but I managed to do it in sub 2 hours with a 4 week old Baby and a hyperactive 6 year old to manage as the wife was out and I just could not resist the shining stainless steel.
In truth, I think somewhere between an hour and two would be fair.
Maybe want to use some of your own tools. Pipe grips, ratchet spanner etc were extremely useful for me. However, it can definitely be put together with the tools it comes with, although it just will require more effort and patience.
I guess there is a lot of parts, which may seem daunting to someone whom is not technically astute.
Connecting the gas hose up, little tip.
Put the hose in some boiling water for a few minutes, it’ll become more plyable and you’ll slide it on the nozzles much easier.
Once it’s together. It is truly stunning to look at. Really you would not expect to get something of this calibre for the money.
Now, onto actual performance as a BBQ.
I have held off writing this review, as I wanted to get a few good goes out of it. Cooking a variety of food. So, I’ve had this since the beginning of April.
I am extremely impressed. Most of the time I will only use two burners. I think this bbq could manage a huge cook out no problem.
The speed in which it heats up is incredible.
250c+ achieved in a matter of minutes.
Confirmed this with another thermometer as wasn’t sure on the one provided. However, it is surprisingly accurate.
I see some people complaining of fat dripping etc. Being hard to clean.
I honestly don’t see how. It’s an absolute dream. I keep a degreaser spray under with a scotch pad, and some kitchen roll. The main body etc cleans up in seconds.
The grills, rack and drip tray really don’t require much work at all to clean.
I ordered the grill brush pro

Perfect addition.
Take the grills to the sink. Quick going over with that. Then a wash and wipe with some fairy and they’re like brand new again. They will fit in a dish washer, but they’re extremely heavy, and to be honest because of the material they are very easy to clean. Wouldn’t see why you would bother.
All in all, I really have to say I am blown away with this for the price. It easily competes with BBQs 3 or 4 times it’s price. It has everything you really need.
Everyone whom has seen it, comments.
You can’t go wrong. It’s all good quality so should last for many years.
So please, save yourself the hours and days that I invested reading and researching, and just buy this.

This cover. Fits perfect.
Very happy with this grill. The plancha side is a game-changer. It took me about 2 hours to put together and I wasn’t rushing – I also made a few basic errors with the side tables being put on the right way around – but it’s fairly easy to assemble by yourself. Have already used it 4 times in 3 days. It’s a bit difficult to clean the grills afterwards and would definitely recommend putting sand or cat litter in the drip tray (my last BBQ didn’t have this feature but it will make a real difference to the longevity. It’s a heavy, ‘expensive feeling’ grill.
Giving 4 stars as very few things are perfect. I do recommend this though. I was torn between this and the very similar green one with wood surround but that didn’t have the plancha grill as far as I could tell.
Easy to assemble took well under 2 hours, assembly instructions really concise and it looks great when assembled although massive! Cannot comment on function as I have not tested it and it will not be used until spring. One concern is that there are lethal razor sharp edges on some of the sheet components, beware!
This looks much more expensive than it was! So many pieces meant it took a long time, a little over 3 hours and whilst the instructions were not too bad, they were a little tricky; patience is called for. We are yet to use it, but should do the trick for family get togethers… time will tell how it performs, but I have high hopes!
Only had a couple of chances to use it last season but performed as should do. This year 2018 will be the tester as having visitors from Australia !!!
Its a bit of a nightmare putting together, IF BUILDING SOLO, so i recommend a friend.
In terms of use this bbq has seen a fairly busy summer so far- and in my opinion, its unreal.
Looks good, heats up fast with even heat distribution.
Half of the interior is an open grill plate and the other half is a closed skillet.
Great product once you have made it up from the flat pack which can be tricky at times.
However the courier service should take a bit more care, as some of the parts were damaged in transit, fortunately these were not critical in the build and are hidden by other parts.
However, once put together, with propane attached, it works beautifully, and chucks out plenty of heat for cooking. I’d recommend giving the grill plates a good oiling (with vegetable oil, of course) before using it…I didn’t and the solid grill plate ended up needing along soak in detergent to remove the burnt stuck bits. Overall, for the money, this is a fab 4 burner BBQ.
Bought for my husband after hours of research. Great size, great quality, great price. He likes the griddle section, which was something i wasn’t sure about when buying. Even has hooks for utensils. Easy to build. We put the black material banner at the back instead though. Have used the different scented wood smoke boxes with it, and all works very well.
The assembly was fine, it helps if you are quite practical. I did it one night casually watching TV as well and it took me two and a half hours, including a bit where I went wrong (warmer rack assembly – I will post picture here to help). The packet of screws had split during transit and there are no spares, but I found them all in the box. I was very pleased with the components and the design – feels like it should last. As someone else has said I would advise using hand tools only.
I was attracted by the stainless steel finish and cast iron burners having browsed other brands available and this is a great price.
So I used it today – lit perfectly and cooked great – everything worked as I say like a dream.
Buy one and you will not be disappointed…………….
Spent time looking for the correct BBQ as i wanted to attach a rotisserie to it and after purchasing this BBQ and a rotisserie separate from amazon very happy with the results.
BBQ does take some time to build, but easy enough following the instructions.
Does take a long time to build
Like the solid steel grill.
Not sure it gets that hot…..
Value for money
A good bbq but not enough wrapping. It was damaged when we unpacked it but being practical we straightened it out and assembled it okay.
You’ll spend the entire afternoon putting this thing together (never known so very many parts to any self assembly) but once you’re done you’ll have a nice looking contemporary barbecue. Trolley is all aluminium (much better than my previous wooden ones) and the hood looks industrial catering, in fact it all looks a lot more than 200. Well made. Cooks much the same as an Outback or any other gas trolley. Pleased.
Storm Doris 2017 blew the bbq over and it moved a good 3 metres away (think my sturdy cover captured the wind!) and it’s actually okay! It’s so sturdy! Just a couple of screws that need tightening and the plastic on the handle cracked! Amazed!
The finished product I must say looks very impressive, not had chance to test it yet as is Baltic outside! In terms of construction it took me about 2 hours on my own, if you were any good at meccano as a kid, it’s will be a breeze! Can’t wait for the weather to perk up and get this fired up!
The only slight issue was with not knowing what one part was for or where it was meant to go. Found the answer on the customer questions on amazon (it was the metal plates that protect the gas burners).
After reading the reviews I have decided to take the plunge, quick postage. Expect a heaven box and a good two hours to assemble it. I am an engineer and it took me this time to assemble it. I am impressed with build quality and materials used. The instructions are ok and not that easy to follow but you will get there eventually. I have not used it yet but when I will I will return for a review update.
Old BBQ, an Outback, died after 10+ years of good use. Chose this Fire Mountain due to it’s fairly compact size and that it had both a Griddle/Hot plate in addition to the normal BBQ grills and a hood. I had noticed that on the photo the wheels were on the left hand side, but I needed them to be on the right hand side. A question on Amazon was answered quickly (thanks to who replied), so product was ordered. It comes a FLAT PACK and needs to be assembled. Instructions are via diagrams/pictures and they are fairly easy to follow, however, I made a few mistakes by not looking to carefully at them. This wasted a bit of time as I had to reverse some steps. Over all I spent close to 3 hours having it completed.
I have now also put it to the usability test and it worked very well. The lighting is a doddle, the griddle and the grill worked a treat. This will easily support 12+ diners. So far a very happy owner!
Had a few BBQs now, really nice BBQ. One complaint is that the hood is a bit “flexible” in the diagonal direction, because it isnt braced and the metal isnt thick enough to provide that structure. It doesnt actually matter though.
I also dont like the height of the warming tray, it could be higher, hard to reach the back end fo the grill etc with this on.
One (at the time extremely frustrating) thing was that it came without the gas nozzle so I couldnt plug the gas bottle (itwas supposed to have this, it was missing). Customer service was great though and responded promptly and got a nozzle sent out, so all in all I think thats OK.
Very good, it’s a shame the side arms don’t fold down to make it stow away into a smaller space.
Great bbq but came damaged twice, I fixed it at home and they did offer a partial refund for the agro.
Sturdy and very stable bbq
The bbq was delivered 2 days after ordered and by a very friendly delivery man who was happy to put the (very heavy) bbq in the kitchen for me. It took my husband 1 hour to put together but about 30/40 minutes to set out all the pieces!
Cooks like a beautie!! Xx
Great BBQ. Happy with purchase. Takes bit of time putting together, but instructions are pretty clear. Ends up being a pretty sturdy BBQ, and cooks food well. Recommended
Seems a good sturdy, well built bbq. Self assembly that’s ok, just take your time and follow the instructions. I wanted one with a hot plate as well as the gas burners. Due to the weather, yet to be fired up, but I’m sure it will be fine.
My only complaint would be the grease tray isn’t the best, sometimes is drips out the corner onto the patio – the tray edges could be a bit higher.
Some BBQs look a bit flimsy but this is a great buy that looks like a premium piece of kit on the patio when not under the cover. can’t wait to use it this summe
The BBQ arrived within 48 hours (so well within the delivery period) and in good condition. The guide line of 1.5 hours to assemble is correct. It is pretty straight forward to build but you do really need a pair of pliers in addition to the tools provided.
The BBQ heats up pretty quickly which is good. I’m not sure if my BBQ concrete slab isn’t level or it’s a design fault but I found that some fat ran over the side of the griddle and hardened on the bottom shelf. Not the end of the world as it’s easy to clean up. I might consider getting another grill if I don’t want to use the griddle.
All in all, I’m pleased with the BBQ and am looking to getting plenty of use out of it.
DOWN SIDE? It has been commented on that the cooked food does not have the traditional bbq flavour….
The best feature is the sliding fat capture tray beneath the cooking levels. Slide our clean slide back in–great stuff.
