Der Versuch, die Gattin des Hauses von einem Garmin zu berzeugen, schlug fehl. Das ist weniger dem DriveSmart 66 anzulasten. Das funktioniert prima, kann mit einer guten Grafik punkten, findet schnell die richtige Route und verwirrt nicht mit einem unbersichtlichen Men. Beim nchsten Navi wrden wir eine Nummer grer kaufen. Sptestens im “Split-Screen” ist die Darstellung fr den schnellen Blick zwischendurch zu klein – das Aus fr unsere Anforderungen. Und: Die serienmige Halterung ist – wie bei allen Navis – nur eine Notlsung. Punktabzug. Garmin bietet da ein mit (wahrscheinlich) Bleikugel geflltes Sckchen an, das als Zubehr prima ist.
This GPS has the amazing advantage of its bigger screen. However, I have discovered a few bugs. On some roads, the voice assistant is telling me to turn right but no road there.
It can’t detect the route by name only like Google Maps. I have to add an accurate address with the house number. So this is quite frustrating.
I have purchased this, especially for lane assistance and real-life view but probably lane assistance features are not available in Hungary.
Another biggest issue is after updating the map voice assistance stop working. Suppose I need to use only the Eastern European countries map and I have updated it by using the Garmin Express app. But after updating voice will not work.
After paying a higher value for this expensive device still, users have to pay for some other features like cyclops camera.
Auf die einzelnen Einstellungen der Gerteparamter msste in der Bedienungaanleitung bzw. Apps hingewiesen werden. Wenn man sich intensiv damit beschftigt kommt man von alleine drauf. Besser direkt mit zustzlich (gegen Aufpreis) erhaltbare Sonnenblende bestellen.
Uso da molti anni navigatori Garmin. Sono passato a quello di formato 7 pollici per vedere un’immagine pi chiara (ho parecchi lustri sulle spalle). Peccato non essere avvertiti quando cambia le strade da percorrere in seguito all’andamento del traffico. La mia auto ha un navigatore installato ma il modo del Garmin mi pi familiare e di pi facile comprensione.
Das Gert ist leicht zu bedienen, wenn man sich die Bedienungsanleitung aus dem Internet geholt hat.
This is a replacement as the last one only lasted two weeks. This one is working well.
Received this as a birthday gift easy enough to set up voice recognition works great and lots of extras . Great piece of kit had no problems with it at all
ein gutes, relativ schnelles und sehr augenfreundliches Gert, das nach einer Trainingsphase auch richtig auf Stimme des Nutzers reagiert.
Vorschlag: eine kleine rechteckige Grundplatte mit dem neuen Kugelkopf wre zustzlich zum Saugfu fr viele Anwender ebenso wichtig gewesen (bei Brodit-Halterung !)
Me he visto en la obligacin de devolver el Garmin GPS.
No es porqu aya alguna falla con el, todo funciona bien.
Lo he devuelto por la razn de que he comprado otra Garmin de 7 pulgadas es mucho ms caro pero por lo visto son muy diferentes. Se ve muy bien en la pantalla, claro que es diferente a TomTom que yo he usado por varios aos, estaba seguro de que las las informaciones del trfico eran por el cable que trae, a si me evitaba de conectarlo a mi telfono, pero no es a si, de haberlo sabido ms antes habra yo comprado el otro modelo que es un poco ms barato.
Lo nico malo que tiene uno qu pagar casi 20 al ao por radares, mientras que TomTom son gratuitos, por vida
De todas maneras estoy muy satisfecho con mi compra, y puedo recomendarlo el 100 %.
Got this for my dad as a birthday gift and an upgrade from his last one.no complaints so far believe he is happy with it.
Find this satnav really good – it isn’t great at voice recognition but other than that we love it!
Have to say I’m impressed with this sat nav. It’s very easy to use. I really like the fact it updates Iver wifi but this does take hours to do to be fair. Connected it to my smartphone to get the best from it. Would recommend.
De navigatie van mijn auto is al jaren niet meer te updaten en de bluetooth opties zijn alleen beperkt tot bellen. Middels de Garmin heb ik naast een up to date navigatie systeem ook bluetooth streaming en bediening! Als a kan je middels ‘skills’ veel meer dingen aanleren. Tip: leer haar de skill ‘Dutch radio’ en je kan Nederlandse zenders luisteren via internet.
Verder werkt de stembesturing erg goed. Je hebt er dus twee. Een Nederlandstalige voor Garmin en Alexa is Engels of Duits.
Aanrader als je ook iets zoekt wat media voor je kan bedienen.
I like the layout, the landmarks and waypoints. Don’t like when it tries to take you through streets which are not allowed. Would love lane direction to be consstantly displayed like in Waze rather than in the last km range for changing.
Garmin DriveSmart 66 MT-S Amazon Alexa navigation device is a good device but has some areas to improve. Navigation system on this device is great.
Quality of the touch screen is great. Brightness is enough to get you through bright sunny days. Also the screen is fluid and responsive.
I am not satisfied with the real time traffic updates. I am connected with their Drive app. But still the live updates are not so accurate. Voice recognition with Alexa is also bad. But those issues can be fixed with software updates.
Excellent product all around but BE AWARE, there’s no owner’s pin code on any recent GARMIN SATNAV products as I checked with them. A recent purchase of mine got stolen and I realised that my personal data on the machine, mobile number, places recorded, home etc inside the machine are in danger to be exploited. A great shame this is overlooked by Garmin for such a fantastic product.

The screen is much improved over the old nav, being slightly bigger and noticeably sharper – easy to read and handle. The performance is also much better, the old one struggled with the current maps, sometimes took ages to recalculate the route and wasn’t even able to store the full Europe map any more – this one handles all of that well.
It’s also able to update itself via wifi without having to use the Garmin Express software – that’s a bonus as Garmin Express has given me many headaches in the past…
The screen graphics and navigation instructions are clear and the UI intuitive to use, being used to the previous version it was very easy to adapt to it.
As for the issues I have with it – it has already crashed once or twice while in use and restarted itself, this used to happen with the old Garmin occasionally as well. The routes it suggests in London are still occasionally rather dubious, that’s probably a map data issue but it hasn’t improved… Finally, while it can work as hands-free device, it seems the mic is rather poor and I’ve not been able to get that to work properly – maybe it’s an issue with my device.
It’s not cheap though and many people will prefer to use their phone for navigation. I however like Garmin’s UI usability, the clarity of instructions and not having to rely on having mobile signal (very useful when travelling to the remoter parts of UK!)
This is a great SatNav, clear screen, good instructions, connects with most things. You do need to use the app to optimise it, but that’s easy and straight forward.
I know its old hat dedicated satnav these days with modern mobile phones doing it all.
But I doubt if a mobile phone will ever have a eight inch screen.
This device is superb with crystal clear screen. Adjust brightness etc with your voice.
Just be aware the manual is 64 pages, so I will be playing for weeks.

Please with the look and size of screen for driving. Shame no instruction book included as this would have made it easier to use. Information found online.
Personally I love them.
They are simple and easy to use, this is no exception. Nice clear screen with really responsive touch screen apps.
Lightweight and slimline makes it easy to use in a small car.
It responds to changes of direction quickly and has a very expansive history which makes it ideal for anyone who has to routinely visit lots of addresses.
Slightly expensive but was worth the upgrade.
