he styling of the watch means that it can be warn as a normal watch but still does everything a fitness tracker does as well I would recommend

Love my watch! I love that it doesn’t look like a smart watch as well. Battery lasts about 4-5 days! It’s great. The only annoying thing is if you don’t log into your app daily it doesn’t log your process

I bought this for my wife’s birthday. She wanted a watch with a “proper” face similar to mine (I have a Withings Scan Watch) that looked stylish but could provide steps / heart / sleep data etc. She loves the size and has had people ask what it was. One observation she has is that if you have long nails the touch screen can sometimes be difficult to operate. The app is easy to use and the information is clear and understandable.

I love my Garmin watch. Bought one for my wife. Got this model as she needed something that doesn’t look like a smart watch. Biggest problem is that it does not have well defined hour lines, making it needlessly difficult to see what time it is at a glance. Also, quite lightweight. This can be a good thing for some.

Not only does it look good and can be worn with casual or formal clothing but it does what it says.

The strap is very stiff so not the most comfortable but can be changed. Not sure it’s as accurate as my last Garmin but it looks like a real watch which is fantastic, easy to use and fantastic how it works.

Lovely watch to look at. Freezes now and again but sorts itself out, don’t know why this happens. Steps I think aren’t 100% accurate. I had to buy the little plugs for the charging part as it was irritating my wrist and made my skin break out and they seemed to of sorted that problem out. I have bought a load of different straps, which I love. Overall a really nice watch. Good at tracking sleep and the app is very good too. I’d buy it again!

Bought this as a gift for my wife. She was concerned about wearing a watch 24/7 due to joint pain but she loved the styling and gave it a go, she has been able to wear this watch continuously without problems. I’m a keen cyclist and already a fan of the Garmin Connect ecosystem with my own Garmin devices. My wife has found the sleep, step and HR tracking to be great features, the automatic activity logging is a great feature and one she has used regularly. The slight negative to this watch smart feature is the lack of inbuilt GPS for geolocating activities, it is possible to use phone GPS to record geo-location but it’s not straightforward and is the reason for only awarding 4* but based on price some may consider a little harsh.

The battery life is great for a smartwatch and only needs charging after 3 days.

Only minor issue has been the time displaying incorrectly a couple of times which required a hand re-alignment from the Garmin Connect app. This has been infrequent and has happened twice since buying approximately 12 months ago.

This is a great watch, looks good performs well and is fairly accurate. Reason I changed from Fitbit was the terrible strap which if it breaks renders thr whole watch useless. With the Garmin it has s conventional strap which is interchangeable. Down side of the watch is the poor battery life – I need to charge it every 3/4 days.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersStopped using my fitbit months ago and got the garmin a couple of months back.
The app and especially the time to sync is so much better, I think the sleep tracking is less accurate but that’s not my main feature for the watch so that’s fine. It does count be blow drying my hair as steps so a little less accurate but overall much better.
Only other thing is the strap that comes with it does massively irritate my wrist, which I thought was just a problem with the fitbit watch I had before. I’ve ordered a replacement metal strap and I’m hoping that will fix it as otherwise I’m very pleased.

I bought this as i wanted a fitness tracker, but one that looked more like a watch rather than a fitness tracker, i love this watch, does everything i need it too and more, it tracks my steps and sleep well, along with stress levels and encourages you to stop and breathe, offering breathing exercises, the connection has been great and the app and watch sync very well.
i took a long time to choose the watch, and this comes in nice colours also, i have the cream and rose gold.

Steps and stairs is great. The red light pulse ox during sleep is sometimes distracting when trying to fall sleep if hand is near face.

I have Long Covid and I’m struggling with debilitating fatigue. A Long Covid facebook group highly recommends these gadgets by Garmin and I’m so pleased I took the plunge. I love how the app shows you your energy levels in the body battery. You can see how well you slept and the affect on your battery of your activities. Stress also really depletes your battery. It has been really helpful in terms of pacing and seeing how what I am doing is affecting my energy levels. You can also see which activities put you into complete rest during the day and fills up your battery a bit. I can use the heart rate monitor to ensure my heart beat doesn’t go too high when climbing the stairs. And not only that, it looks really pretty and I can finally see the time without needing glasses! Brilliant and worth every penny.

I am very pleased with this watch. Lots of poeple have said “I like your watch” and are surprised when I tell them its a smart watch. It’s smaller than a lot of smart watches & looks more like a watch than a smart watch which is exactly what I wanted. It has more functions than I expected ,the app is easy to use once you get used to it. I only use it to track steps and walks so can’t comment on how well it works tracking other activities butI have had it for about 10 months now and it’s still working well. I would recommend this watch.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchased this watch in Jan 20 and haven’t reviewed till now! Worn it pretty much everyday since purchased, and miss when it’s not on my wrist.

Has good battery life although I do notice a difference if I wear at night, in that battery life doesn’t last as long.

Easy to use, looks good, hasn’t irritated my wrist and I have pretty sensitive skin.

    App easy to use.

    Easy to log fitness.

Nothing I can really fault, would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this for my wife who absolutely loves it. She’s very happy with the functionality and it looks great. The only issue we had was I bought a third-party quick-release strap to go with it – the watch says it’s a 20mm strap size so this is the strap I bought, however on closer inspection the lugs are about 20.5mm apart, and so the strap kept popping out of place with minimal encouragement which was a problem (I’ve read about other people losing theirs on runs). I bought a 21mm strap instead and this still fit nicely in the gap, and seems a lot more secure.

Fantastic product, shame it was the wrong colour. Not overly bothered but it was a little annoying as I specifically wanted a blue strap (which was also 1 more expensive than the grey received) but I’ll keep it

I got this as I wanted a smart watch to track fitness but didn’t need an out and out fitness tracker. It does the job and gives me notifications to remind me to check my phone messages . It is good to track walks and the auto start is useful. You will need to carry the phone to listen to music and reply to messages. Battery life is okay but you won’t get more than three days life. It looks good on the wrist and does the job for me.

Like most smartwatches of this type, the sleep tracker doesn’t work at all. It tells me I fell asleep at the time I set as “bedtime” every night, even when I know I’ve been sitting in bed reading a book for two hours after that. But, every other function works well. It’s a great step tracker and useful for checking notifications without having to dig out my phone. I also love the look of it and find that it does warn me to take a break when I’m getting stressed out, which is helpful for staying healthy both mentally and physically.

Really enjoying this watch, app gives you loads of info too so it’s a great tool to track and learn more about your bodies health.

I bought this as a birthday present for my wife. She’d avoided fitness watches as they were functional and “ugly” but she loves this one. It does everything that my VivoActiveHR does and more. She particularly likes the ‘body battery’ and also tracking her monthly cycle which seems to be pretty accurate.

I love love love the look of this watch. I’ve wanted one for a long time & decided to treat myself.

The app isn’t as easy to navigate as the Fitbit app is but I think once I’m more used to it, there will be more features on this, than on the Fitbit.

I’m mostly disappointed because on the second day I had it – a scratch appeared on the face. I’ve no idea how but I wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary- so I feel like it’s ruined & for a 199 watch, I wouldn’t expect it to so easily mark. None of my previous watches / Fitbit were ever scratched.

The battery life is used up pretty quickly. It needs more charging than I’m used too, but at least with this you can still use the watch even when it’s not counting steps etc.

On the whole tho a tad disappointed…I’m happy with it. It looks far more dressy than other step counters & it has a lot of features to use.

Am Niro sure why the straps bruise your wrist. I take it off daily and clean, air out. But my wrist now has a scar around it. And I didn’t tie it too tight! Everything else is great. Looks really good. You do have to go and make sure it’s syncing a few times but the measurements are pretty accurate I would say.

I love my Garmin. It has a small digital panel that disappears under the clock face (I’ve always preferred the look of an analogue watch to a digital), giving all the info needed. Simple, easy to use, and really useful with fitness tracking.
The only niggle is the sleep tracker has not been as accurate as I’d hoped.. it hasn’t picked up on nights where I know woken up with my partner snoring (!!!) and not been able to get back to sleep for a while. The sleep tracker has then told me I’ve had 8+hours sleep?? But as a whole, I find this a really useful piece of kit, and love the rose gold/navy look, so winner in my book.

I’ve had this watch for a year now. Long enough to know that I’m very happy with it but also to be aware of its flaws. The thing I like the most about it is that it looks like a normal watch and it is considerably smaller than most other hybrid smartwatches which was the main deciding factor for me and my skinny wrists.

I run regularly and it’s great for tracking this. Not nearly so good for walks though as it has a tendency to autosave if you stop for too long and then you end up with only half a walk recorded (this happens to me a lot as I have two small children who stop ALL the time to look at stuff on walks! I’ve given up with it now and reverted to Strava through my phone if I want to track a walk).

A couple of other niggles — you sometimes have to press the screen a few times before it responds. The Bluetooth connection with my phone drops out frequently as I walk around the house so it must have quite a short range. I initially thought this was the fault of my phone (as my husband has the boy version of this watch and his stays connected all the time) but I recently got a new phone and it’s the same.

Other than that though, I do love this watch. It still looks as good as new after a year despite being worn through a lot of DIY. The Garmin Connect app is good and the find my phone feature has saved me a lot of times! I would recommend this watch.

Have had this watch for a few months now and I love it! It looks so much nicer than an Apple Watch yet does everything one does and easier. The only gripe for me is the silicone strap brought me out in a rash, but I found a great site that makes straps that are fabric like a scrunchie and no issue since!

I was upgrading from a fairly basic watch with steps and sleep tracker but that also tracked swimming which I wanted. This tracks all the different activities I want – swimming, running, cycling and swimming. It also tracks sleep and stress levels along with many other options.
I really like the fact that it looks like an ordinary analogue watch and I have bought a leather strap for it to wear except when swimming (quick release straps are great for this) and I think it looks really smart as well as being a “smart” watch!

We have recently moved over from Fitbit watches to Garmin, I use the Garmin Forerunner 735xt as a functional sports tracking watch, whereas my partner wanted something less focused on sports and more aesthetically pleasing. This watch is definitely that, you can still track and log all sporting activities, however it’s smart enough to wear as an every day watch. It still packs a huge amount of software and tracking into the watch but you can use as much or as little as you wish. The app is great and provides tonnes of data, however understanding all of this can take a bit of time – I still don’t use everything. The only draw back to this watch is the touchscreen interface requires some getting used to, you need to tap pretty hard to get a consistent response, and navigating which option to select takes a bit of trial and error.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersShort review: would definitely recommend!

Absolutely amazing watch. After doing a bit of research I decided to go for this hybrid watch as it wasn’t too expensive (Amazon prime day offer) compared to the level up (300).
It looks great, just like a classic watch which is what I was after, as I really don’t like the look of the sporty/smart watches.
Used it on 2 runs so far and in conjunction with the app it’s very accurate and gives you alot more detail than I was expecting for a hybrid. Seamlessly pairs with my Strava and MyFitnessPal keeping everything up to date. And notifications are easily set to your preference.
So far very happy with this watch and had no problems whatsoever. Look forward to getting more straps to suit different outfits.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersLove this watch! I personally didn’t want a smartwatch/screen on my wrist, and this one looks great. I bought an extra suede strap for when I want to look classy, but the rubber strap actually feels quite nice and of high quality.
Some reviews state the screen doesn’t respond well when you tap it. But I found after 2 days of trial that I have no problem at all with waking up the screen. Its also easy to navigate and set up the watch.
Also I have dainty wrists, so the size of the Vivomove style is perfect and modern looking!
Yes the screen is dull is direct sunlight, but I’m not too bothered about it and it reads fine in the shade and indirect sunlight.

    Love it!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been using this watch for a few months now so feel I can give a decent overview. It’s very light which feels a bit ‘wrong’ to start off with but has been damage free so far. I’m quite tough on watches as I’m right handed and wear my watch on my right wrist. Most of my watches have been scratched or damaged due to this but this one has survived well so far. I bought this to stay within the Garmin ecosystem. I already use Garmin bike computers, lights and radar so it seemed sensible to just have one app to look after all my fitness stats. The app itself is very good and tells you everything you need to know. Only 2 negatives for app and watch:
    1. App has nowhere to add blood pressure. Very odd as most other health/fitness related stats can be added.
    2. Bluetooth connectivity of app and watch is unreliable at best. The watch shows as connected to my phone but then does not sync with app. Work around a include turning off bluetooth on phone and app and re starting or going into the pair phone menu on the watch. Bit frustrating but I can put up with it due to all the good points.
The watch is also almost a dark brown rather than black/grey. I quite like it but others may not!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a beautiful looking smart watch and is great for day to day wear. It keeps track of steps and heart rate and can record activities such as yoga. This watch doesn’t work off it’s own GPS tracking for running or walking and requires a phone gps signal. It still works fine by connecting to the phone but I would say the Garmin vivoactive 3
Is better for recording runs and walks. I have both of these watches now and I have found the vivomove a great smart watch for day time at work etc and the vivoactive better for recording sport activities.

Battery life is reasonable last about 4/5 days but charges quickly

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI wanted a watch that didn’t look like your standard smart watch/fitness watch so this ticked the boxes. In terms of functionality it’s a bit hit or miss. The floor count is way off. I’ve spent the day running up and down the stairs doing housework and it’s only counted 1 flight. Other days it tells me I’ve got 16 by the time I reach work despite most of the morning being sat on a train.
The sleep tracker and heart rate monitor have proved useful and it’s helped me see where I need to adjust my schedule.
Like others, it has a tendency to cause irritation on my wrist and it needs regularly cleaned or the strap starts to smell. Also as the watch body doesn’t match the bevel, but instead matches the strap, it’s not really good aesthetic wise to buy a different strap. Battery life isn’t great but it charges in around half an hour so can’t really complain.
For just a casual watch for those wanting to monitor their daily activity this is great and I’d recommend. For those wanting more accurate tracking info I’d suggest doing more research in to other watches.
Edit – one and a half years after purchase and the screen is failing – see last photo. It’s like an advert for tunnel vision as the blurry sides edge closer to the centre. Soon I won’t be able to read the digital display which renders the watch useless for activity tracking as you can’t start an activity if you can’t see the onscreen menu. Update – I contacted garmin who replaced the whole watch, brilliant customer service.

Great appearance but a bit of a let dow

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI went from the Fitbit Charge 2 to this after much consideration and I am so happy that I did.
Comparing the two, I would say that:
    Advantages:
+So much better looking!!!! Really does look lovely, has to be the most attractive smart watch I’ve seen.
+Garmin app has loads more stats and details, great if you’re a bit of a data nerd like me
+Activity tracking including steps I believe is more accurate than Fitbit
+Can also go for swims in it which feels so weird but it tracks distance etc. in it
+You can also input your fitness/gym plan which I haven’t done yet but is very cool!

    Disadvantages:
-Sleep tracking is much more accurate on the Fitbit but Garmin does give an indication
-The app may be a bit too complex/detailed for some people plus the device is a bit confusing to set up at first
-The app doesn’t always sync easily to the app but isn’t major concern
-A bit more difficult to swap the bands

    Overall would hugely recommend this!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI like this sleek fashionable smart hybrid watch as it looks good and feels good.
I find that I have to charge it though every 4/5 days and find it can be slow to connect to phone GPS . One other negative is that is does not allow me to pause recording a training session. Instead you need to save and restart (unless there is an option in the settings that I have not found yet) so not as as Garmin forerunner but better looking !

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHave been using this for over a month now and I can’t find a flaw at all. I use the oxygen saturation and breathing monitor throughout the night as I suffer from asthma and broken sleep and even so, the battery lasts me almost a week from a full charge. I don’t use it for notifications except breaking news from BBC so if you do, that may drain the battery more. I wanted a watch for heart rate, sleep and activity rather than to use along with my phone for messages, emails etc. It performs every function brilliantly and the app is really useful with some great visuals.
Best of all is the beautiful design, it looks like a normal watch which is what I wanted.

Golden Review Award: 181 From Our UsersI have been using Fitbits for a few years now, so when I saw the Garmin Vivomove 3S Hybrid Smartwatch available I couldn’t resist giving it a go to compare the two. To make it easier to read, I will list what I think the positives and negatives are of this watch.

    -Positives-
    * It looks like a traditional watch but has the features of a smartwatch that we now find it hard to live without
    * The watch hands tell the time even when the battery is low
    * It has a digital display that appears when the screen is tapped
    * The watch tracks a number of things such as sleep, steps, flights of stairs, energy levels, stress levels, oxygen level, hydration levels and heart rate (there’s also the ability to track a menstrual cycle)
    * When setting a step goal, the watch analyses the number of steps you normally do, and changes your goal accordingly
    * You can have notifications sent to your phone through Bluetooth
    * Pink, rose gold and white are a great colour combination, and I had a compliments immediately on the watch
    * Even though only one strap is provided, the watch strap can fit a number of different wrist sizes
    * When the watch realises you’re feeling stressed, it offers timed breathing exercises
    * The watch measures SpO2%, which is a premium paid service on Fitbit

    -Negatives-
    * I found the battery life to be a disappointment. I am used to having 5-7 days of battery life, so having to charge the watch every 2-3 days was a bit annoying, especially when I barely used the Bluetooth
    * You’re unable to toggle the type of notifications sent to the watch, its either all or nothing, and to be honest I didn’t really want my junk mail pushed to my phone as a notification
    * The watch is heavier than other fitness trackers
    * The stress level measuring was a bit hit and miss, there are more times than most when the watch couldn’t measure my levels as I was too “active” and I ended up taking no notice of it
    * The Garmin Connect app isn’t as fun to use as the Fitbit app
    * I found the raise to wake action wasn’t as responsive as I would have liked and I often had to physically tap on the screen for the digital screen to work

Overall, I’ve enjoyed using the Garmin Vivomove Smartwatch and it will be hard to go back to a Fitbit, especially when I get so many compliments about it. It would make a great present for Christmas this year, although its worth keeping an eye out for a deal as it can be out of budget at full price. I have tried to include pictures in my review as I know they’re helpful, although it seems my camera didn’t like the digital display! I hope you found my thoughts helpful :o)

4/5 stars - battery life lets it down!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI like the looks of my watch and the way it works. Unfortunately after buying even a glass protector I slightly bumped it and glass cracked. One or more customers complained about the same issue in reviews. The glass stands out and that is the reason why it happens. So so disappointed as I love my watch. I contacted seller on Amazon. Like all the others state. NO REPLY. No idea how I will get it fixed now.

Golden Review Award: 50 From Our UsersI recently got the Garmin Venu (which is pretty cool and does way more than I actually need) and my partner seemed to like it so I thought this would be perfect for her.

It comes nicely boxed and is simple to get out and set up. You get a bespoke charging cable (so don’t lose it!!) that connects to any USB device and an instruction booklet.

The watch is extremely attractive and feminine without being overtly dainty. The ever-popular rose gold face looks stunning. The white strap might be a matter of taste, but this could easily be swapped out (there is even a quick release button on the strap to allow this). Personally, I think the white compliments the watch face nicely.
To get it up and running you’ll need to charge the watch and then download the Garmin Connect app to your phone and connect by bluetooth. This is extremely easy and only takes a mattter of minutes to do.

The main deciding factor on buying this will be down to how much stock is put in being able to change watch faces. For me, that’s an absolute must and the best part of a smartphone. I suspect that, for most ladies, this will be less of a priority (boys and toys and so on) but do bear that in mind.

As I say, the watch face is lovely as it is and has physical, analogue hands and so works like a regular watch in that regard. The notification will appear underneath the hands or be activated when the face is double tapped.

If your main use is to monitor steps and heart rate then this will do both and much more besides. You can even see, using the phone app, how stressed you have been and when during your day!

The display is nice and bright but you may find yourself squinting a little in the sunlight when trying to read it.
Battery life seems good, I would say 3-4 days seems right before charging (which doesn’t take very long at all).

Overall, I think this is one of the the classiest looking smartwatches I’ve seen and appears to do just about every (practical) thing you could want it to.

A very classy looking and highly functional smartwatch!

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersReally love this watch, I’ve got the 3S and it is great for reasonably small wrists. The Garmin connect app is good and I’ve had no issues syncing this with my LG10 phone.
