I have 5 long and high Leylandy hedges and used a heavy petrol trimmer for years believing electric ones were not up to the job. Wrong! Grudgingly at 82 yrs old I relented and bought this one. Works great, surprised by the power, might sound slower that the petrol one but cuts efforlessly. It is not light but much lighter than my Mitox petrol one. I have not worked it for long spells as I know through my experience with Lipo batteries (still fly battery powered 90mm edf jet models) it is better to recharge before the battery bogs down. Good price, good machine.

I have arthritis in my hands so small, lightweight tools are a great help.
This tool is excellent for shaping small bushes or hedges. The interchangeable attachments are easy to install. Remember to lift up cover to change attachments. I tried sliding it which obviously didn’t work.
The grass edging attachment is obviously only designed for a small area tidy up.
    Recharging is via USB lead.
It is designed for general tidy up of hedge or grass verge. Will not be useful for cutting large areas.
I am very happy with my purchase.

Does the job of trimming hedges but there should be a way of keeping it switched on instead of having to squeeze two triggers to operate. I’m not getting any younger and my hands were aching after ten minutes of using this. If it had a lock on option I would have gave it 5 stars.

This little beauty is the best hedgecutter I have ever bought. It’s better than the more expensive big hedge cutters I’ve bought in the past and the battery life if amazing only had to charge it for the 2nd time the other day. It can’t cut through thick branches but most hedge cutters can’t. I was dubious about the price and how good it would be I honestly wish I had tried this first instead of buying the other ones I had bought. The grass cutter attachment is quite impressive as well to cut back long grass and weeds.

I purchased the 36 volt version of the HYECHO hedge trimmer as I was not convinced an 18/20 volt trimmer would have sufficient power for my needs, I have about 80/90 leylandi and box hedges to trim, as well as about 70 feet of 8ft high hedging and 60 feet of low hedging – all needing careful ‘manicuring’ to retain their shape. This trimmer was more than up to the task. Its long (60cm) blade was sharp and efficient, the ability to rotate the back handle 90 degrees either way was a godsend, and the 2-battery power pack lasted for about 4 hours of intermittent use. Indeed, I ran out of energy before the trimmer did. If you’r looking for a cordless hedge trimmer, I doubt you’ll find a better one.

Ok- slightly dramatic title! But honestly this speeds up keeping my yew balls in a nice neat order and also easy to charge, use and clean. Not for a larger area but for small lavenders, yew, etc these are great!

Oh, how I wish I’d had one of these ages ago! It works superbly! Installing the blades is very easy, and they don’t fall off. It makes trimming the edges of my lawn effortless – it’s like giving it a hair-cut! Brilliant for trimming round things like lights or posts or whatever that are stuck in the lawn, and SOOO much easier than using hand shears. EXCELLENT!

    It is cordless.
Before that we bought lidl with wire, electricity. did not like it very much and was not handy for trimming hedges.

That’s why the husband wanted cordless. this was his birthday present and he has already used it 1x. like it and it’s very comfortable. also on the side of the road, the wire does not interfere and since we also have a lawnmower of the same company, the batteries are also suitable for that – the same. I definitely recommend it, because my husband is delighted with the gift he chose himself.

This will replace my heavy electric hedge cutter and this cordless one will help me in the future as I get older as it is very light and cuts really well and makes a good job, battery lasted for a long time and I always have the back up of the batteries from the cordless strimmer as they are interchangeable between all their products. All the safety features worked and don’t forget to lubricate the bar after use.

I have a large laurel hedge that’s 60 foot long and 12 foot high so have a heavy duty long reach hedge cutter for that but it’s big, awkward and heavy. Wanted something lightweight and convenient for occasional trimming of the hedge itself as well as many other bushes and shrubs.

The HYECHO cordless was the best looking value as most other machines with a similar price point didn’t include the battery and charger. The 36V version with the dual battery was tempting since it was only an additional 10 but convenience and weight was the priority and besides Amazon wouldn’t ship the higher voltage unit to my country so 18V it was.

Impressive machine and can’t fault it. The double safety switch takes a bit of getting used to but no bad thing. The specs state a 20min run time on a single battery but I’ve got more than that with heavy cutting. It also warns of an operating volume of 92dB which I couldn’t believe so tested it using a simple volume meter and only got a reading of 72dB at arms length or 83dB up close.

Will have to consider the HYECHO cordless grass trimmer now once it comes back into stock as while my existing strimmer is perfectly fine having it cordless is just so handy.

    Great value and convenience

Also when u change the head unit to the trimmer end its extremely good as well battery life is good for this device I would recommend this 2 in 1 garden tool

The trees we have down the bottom of our garden which are more like extremely thick bushes I really awkward to cut even if you have ladders and everything else in place to make it easier I’ve always found that any hedge trimmer that I have is way too heavy to manipulate and get right up to the top to give a nice clean cut however we no longer have that issue with the fact that this is a cordless setup and the fact that the electric motor is very lightweight

the blade comes ready to use straight away no sharpening needed, I would ensure that you keep on top of it as the sharper they are the better you’re going to get a cleaner cut which in turn makes a nicer more streamlined finish.

The length of the blade is also really important for me it is in total about 45 centimetres however the usable distance on that is roughly about 40 centimetres due to the fact that the end doesn’t cut anything but that you can still use to be able to line straight up against a fence so it’s very convenient, it cuts both sides so no matter whether you’re going back and forth or just one way it wouldn’t make any difference as it will still be cutting.

For the ergonomics it has a very large balancing handle which are used to be able to pivot on by pushing and pulling on the rear handle which is also where the rear switch is but there is also a switch on the main balancing handle too, or this would be rather dangerous without a little front guard that stops you from getting twigs etc thrown at your face although I would still wear some kind of eye protection just to be sure.

Upgraded to this hedge cutter from a petrol one. Much , much lighter than petrol but still gives great cutting performance.

Bought the 36v version as we have a long hedge and this machine coped with it very well, battery lasted very well.

Extra useful feature is the ability to twist the handle, meaning that the trimmer is incredibly easy to use , whatever the angle.

Also the cutting blades are long, meaning that you can cut more hedge at once.

Having some awkward bushes means that i can’t use the long hedge trimmer i have as it simply does not fit around all the corners in that specific spot.

This little unit however seems to manage all the little bits that nothing else will, so for a size perspective, it fits! with regards to the power, it is on a rechargeable battery so will eventually run out, but has plenty of power for the hands on jobs i need, it cuts really nicely, i thought this may be due to the fact that it’s on new blades, but it doesn’t seem to have changed after a lot of work so i think the blade can be kept easily.

It charges up quickly and gives about 30-45 mins of full on use (if you’re not cutting, don’t press the button to keep it lasting a little longer.

I’ve also used it as an edge trimmer and although you have to get down on your knees to do it, it does give a much nicer cleaner finish so well worth it.

I bought this as a means to quickly tidy up our tree and hedges without the need to get out the wired hedge trimmer with extension lead, etc. With this, I am ready to go in seconds and for keeping the garden looking neat it works very well. The blades are sharp and I also like that they include covers to protect them, and me! It charges quickly and has more than enough charge for several uses by me. Impressed with it overall.

    Works very well

The HYECHO Cordless Hedge Trimmer is a great tool for making quick work of your hedges and fencing. The device is well made and has a safety cut off in the even of kickback, but it’s also very effective for purpose and simple to operate.

The cutting blade is 45cm long, it is dual action so cuts on both sides and it includes a safety shield to reduce the likelihood of injury. Works well, love the battery as it makes it completely portable and ensures you don’t have to worry about cables etc.

Great for trimming hedging and a good price too.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI had somebody that used a petrol trimmer but this electric trimmer does a better job it’s more safety to use and more quiet then the petrol one, the only issue is the battery that only last for about 20 minutes then I have to wait 30-40 minutes for a full charge even if on the website it’s saying its fast charge it is not that fast charge, overall I have just a have small garden fence so for me once in a while it does an amazing job and how the petrol got up in the price it is more price conveniet to be electric, and I am happy as well that I haven’t paid for the brand and just for the quality even big brands started to make knock offs they put the brand and everybody jump to buy them…
EDIT: Just wanted to show how happy I am with the trimmer and so I will show how to use in a video hope that will help anybody.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought it for my garden. So far so good. While I’ve only used few times since receiving it a few days ago it works and performs as described. I made a video for better understanding. I charged up the battery and I would say that the run time I used was probably about an hour’s worth. No issues whatsoever. It will not cut through the larger branches about the size of my index finger. But everything else did really well. Good for home use. Light and easy to use. I love the fact that it’s wireless. All in all, this does a great job for my needs. I would definitely recommend it.

This had good reviews and also said that the battery was able to be used with other products similar another brand.

The battery life is excellent and easily coped with our large overgrown garden. It charges quickly and the shield to protect your hands is a nice feature.

The blades are very sharp which was great for cutting through thick bramble and weeds.

I am tempted to get the chainsaw version as the same battery powers both then the garden will be nearly done!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersFirst off I’m glad Amazon did not re box it and you used the original box to deliver to me thanks I hate the waste of reboxing I was expecting a massive box so good on you and a good well done.

2nd HYECHO the pictures you have with the man holding the cutter on your amazon Ad does not do it justice and is very off putting as it looks massive on the picture but trust me guys it’s compact lightweight and manageable the only big thing is the blades but that’s what I wonted, had a bit of cutting on the Heage it seems to cut very well and fast but once I’m fully done I will post a pic and a performance review luckily I took a leap of faith with this and trust me when I say I study every Heage trimmer on the net this ticked all my box’s but I was nearly put off with it haveing no reviews and a dodgy picture so let that be a lesson to you HYECHO always check your Advising. Update the cut is fine and crisp fast cutting blades I did two gardens Heage and some bushes and work very well.

Updated I did 4 garden Heages today and let me tell you the power is well on this last a long time its a fast as well overall very pleased.

    All good thanks

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is great to cut high and low as it’s much lighter than my petroleum powered cutter. The battery lasts the entire hedge cut and I have a very long garden hedge.

The battery took a few hours to charge again and then it was ready for its next use. The blades stop if there is a branch stuck so it can be easily removed.

There is a two button sequence so you need both hands to cut the hedge. This is a good safety mechanism. There is also a shield to protect your hands from the hedge.
