Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI tried professional laser hair removal service but, due to the very high cost of that service. I quit the service just after the first session. I researched for at home alternatives and came across this product.

Let me tell you. It has changed the game. I have light brown skin with very coarse and thick hair. It worked really well. My skin has never felt for smoother. Its lightweight and easy to use, the manual is very easy to understand and follow. It works with a manual and automatic setting. It comes with UV glasses to protect the eyes. It has a small head attachment for more precise treatment, e.g. face.

Sometimes it does leave a mark on some areas but that fades away very easily overtime.

At home Laser hair removal that actually works!!

The UCATINI AP10 Intense Pulsed Light Laser Hair Removal Machine is a very professional-looking piece of equipment for permanent hair removal for face, legs, arms and body. It comes with an Extra Precision Head for small areas like upper lip and underarms. It should be used in Manual mode for these areas. Large areas like legs and arms should be treated with Auto mode.
As with all devices like this, safety is paramount and the AP10 comes with a comprehensive safety and instruction mannual. In a nutshell, it is suitable only for people with fair skin and dark hair. In addition, it is not suitable if you have freckles or tattoos. A good understanding of the “Do’s and Don’ts” should be reached before use.
The large LCD display and easy to reach controls make the AP10 easy to set up and use. Although it does not feel too heavy to start with, if used for a long session, the weight does become a factor. IPL is a widely used technology for hair removal and it does destroy the suitably treated follicles, but there is a strong possibility that a brand new follicle may activate, so it is more of a semi-permanent than a permanent treatment. Shaving is required before each treatment and the rate of hair growth is reduced after each treatment until the follicle is destroyed. It takes up to twelve weeks to get 98% hair reduction when following the recommended treatment plan, so this is not a quick process, but hair growth is reduced progressively after each treatment.
The AP10 has a smart cooling system for the skin, which reduces the discomfort level when compared with IPL devices that do not have this facilty.
Although the UCATINI AP10 is pricey and is not suitable for everyone, if at-home hair removal treatment is what you want, this is a good quality, good specification, easy to use IPL machine.

This was my first time using an IPL laser hair removal device. I know they can be more expensive than this one but frankly the price – around 300 at time of writing – gave me confidence that it would be well built and safe to use provided I followed the instructions.

I don’t intend writing a long review here simply because I’m a real novice when it comes to devices of this type and I think if I were considering making a purchase I’d prefer to focus on reviewers who are much more au fait with the technology than me.

All I will say is that I used the device on my legs and albeit this was with a little trepidation it worked out well – and certainly well enough to dispel my first-timer nerves. Protective glasses are included in the package. The machine appears to be extremely well designed and of excellent quality.

If gifting, the device arrives in a minimally chic branded box which looks rather good – but I would specify at the checkout that it be placed in an Amazon outer box as mine came just with the address and other labels stuck to the product which were impossible to remove without tearing the shrink wrap.

I have the perfect combination of dark hair and light skin to use this machine and have been using it for a couple of weeks now.
It comes presented in nice gift box, along with a smaller head, base, disposable razor, glasses and the power cable.
The instructions are thorough and it was a little daunting at first but actual usage was very straight forward.
It’s recommended to use twice a week in the beginning, after shaving. The device itself is quite bulky and the base needs power for it to work. The actual hair removal device is corded which surprised me a little.
To use, it’s simply a case of turning the machine on and selecting the intensity level. I’ve used up to level 3 and found it to be completely pain free. With the shades on, to protect the eyes, simply press the button over the areas you want to be hair free. I’ve been using on my legs. The head has a nice cooling area which soothes the skin and there’s a slight fan noise during use.
There’s a smaller window attachment for smaller areas and this simply sits over the larger head, effortlessly, held by magnets – very good!
It’s early days and it can take a few weeks to see results but so far so good.
    Would recommend!

Pain free and simple to use

For those unfamiliar, IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. Essentially, this machine is a kind of light therapy designed to remove hair.

The first thing to know is that this machine is only designed to work with certain hair and skin types. Using the terminology of the manufacturer, it will work on white, ivory, beige and light brown skin, but not medium brown or dark brown. It’ll work on black, dark brown, medium brown and light brown hair, but not blonde, white, grey or ginger/red hair.

Using the machine is fairly easy, but you will want to follow the instructions to ensure good results and safety. I was a little nervous to use it at first due to the stigma around lasers, but it’s not as bad as I was expecting – so I hope that’s comforting to others 🙂

First, you will want to shave the area you wish to treat. This (according to the box) is to ensure the light reaches the hair follicles rather than be blocked by the hair. Then you will want to put on the Goggles and turn the machine on. You will then want to choose which mode and power level is most applicable to you. There’s a manual or automatic mode depending on the size of the area, an energy level of 1 through 5 and an alternative head for reaching the smallest of areas too.

Although advertised as painless, I would say that at setting four and five you can feel the machine working. The cooling technology does a good job at countering this though and so it’s far from unbearable. In fact, after a couple of sessions you’ll be completely fine with it. One thing that is surprising (if you’ve not used this kind of machine before) is how intense the flash is – you’ll want to make sure you have the glasses on tight to your face and you’re alone. I can’t imagine it’s good for humans or pets to be flashed in the eyes with that kind of light.

The machine is fairly bulky, as most are, so it can be a little tiring if you’re doing larger areas. However, it’s comfortable to hold and it’s easy to turn off/on when you fancy a break. The cable is fairly long, which makes manoeuvring it fairly easy, and has a UK plug at the end.

Overall, this is a great little machine and although it’s early days we’re already seeing results. Although initially a little nervous about laser technology, we’re now comfortable using it.

Comes in a fantastic box which is good enough to be gifted. The hair remover itself is out of this world but it’s not a matter of open the box, zap your hair and off you go. I’d seriously put some time aside to read the full instruction manual and understand how the device works, along with the do’s and don’ts. It feels very professional and made to a high standard.

  9. Anonymous says:

This device comes very nicely packaged, and the box is useful for storage in between uses as it keeps the cables and pieces nice and safe.

It is very smooth and easy to hold. It’s not very heavy and feels ergonomic. The handle is a good size, and the buttons are easy and comfortable to use.

Sometimes the translated manual on these Chinese imports can be difficult to understand. This one is reasonably clear, which is important for a device of this type. Make sure you read the instructions thoroughly before the first use.

Make sure to wear the dark glasses when using this, otherwise you could damage your eyes.

Make sure you shave before using this, as it works by killing the hair follicle, which is inside your skin.

I have dark brown hair and tanned skin, so am on the borderline of who can use this. It was mostly pain free ,if a bit warm towards the end. I did not notice any skin sensitivity.

I have not yet used this to a full course, mainly due to laziness and procrastination, but it does seem to be working and my hair seems less strong, so I will keep going.

Overall this seems good value, better than waxing, but is time consuming.

    Seems to work well

Firstly, this product arrived beautifully wrapped. In a well-made box so felt very secure and sturdy.

The device has a really nice weight in the hands, My wife and I have used other hair removal products. Are they feel quite weighty so it can feel really tiring completing a full hair removal.

It’s really simple to use, however, I would recommend sitting down and reading the instructions and taking your time to fully absorb them. You also need to follow the guidance regarding safety as this is a laser hair removal product. You want to make sure that you are following the correct safety guidance.

It comes with everything that you would need in the kit, including protective eyewear.

My wife and I didn’t feel any pain when using the product. It does have a cooling function which calls this skin prior to the energy burst, which obviously helps deteriorate the pain.

Will both use this a handful of times on different areas of the body, following the safety guidance thoroughly. We have both noticed a thinning of regrowth in hair in these areas which is great after only a few weeks of using the product, which is really good.

Overall we’re both quite happy with this, its a bit pricy – however when you think of how much going to get laser hair removal done in a salon is it’s worth it!

So sleek & easy to use. Arrived very quickly & the team was very supportive replying to all my questions. Best customer support ever for real.

I’m a doctor & I also have tria beauty, in comparison ucatini has a bigger screen so it helps go through bigger areas A LOT quicker. But my favorite part about it is that it’s cold sensor works FAST & extremely efficient so it reduces the pain significantly, which is not in the tria.
And people questioning if it’s working or not due to zero pain have probably not been using it on maximum power. It has 5 power settings & up till 3 you my not feel pain, but if you go higher you can feel it, also depends on pain threshold as it’s very variable ofc. And the higher you go the better outcome you get. Tbh if the cold plate keeps working as effectively as it is now, I’d have no problem with the highest setting on arms, legs, underarm. Maybe just 3 with bikini for now then can escalate later.

Will post results in a few months as I haven’t had it for too long. But totally worth the money, just a beautiful investment that prevents you going to salons for laser hair removal. I do recommend.

This came very nicely presented in a smart looking retail box and inside you get the Handheld Laser Remover, Power Base, Power Lead, Detachable Front Cover (Magnetic), Sunglasses, Pink Razor, and Instruction Manual.

On the top of the device are three touch sensitive buttons: On/Off, Smart Cooling Button, Auto/Manual Button and then there is a trigger on the handle itself. When turned on, the very clear and easily readable display on the top lights on. It sound a bit like a fan when on and is not too noisy.

In the instructions, there is a handy “Skin Tone & Body Hair Type” chart, that identifies whether this laser hair remover is suitable for you or not. It is important to note that this device IS NOT suitable for Red, Blond, Grey, or White hair.

How this device works is by using pulses of light to put the hair follicle into sleep mode. When in sleep modes, it falls out — this can take 1-2 weeks. Now, as a man, I have found that the fall-out time is extended, maybe because my hair are thicker. It does take around 3mths to get a noticeable difference and mine is definitely taking longer — I am using on the top of my arms and back.

Initially, it is recommended you use it twice a week (Treatment Phase 1), then once-a-week (Treatment Phase 2) and then you get into Touch-Up Phase, which I am nowhere near at this point. I have been using it for a couple of months now and due to the size off the area, it is taking me a lot longer to notice any major difference. You do need to remove hairs with a razor before you start using it.

The device itself is about the size of a hair dryer, quite weighty and does look and feel to be well made. The power base double as a stand for the laser remover.

Having not used one of these before, it is impossible for me to give a comparison and I was expecting it to take longer than the instructions say to remove the hair, which it is. So, I am in for the long-haul. As I said, I expect this is down to being a many and having thicker hair to remove.

I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.
NB. For a sizing guide, squares in photos are 1cm.

Quite heavy, well made and taking its time (I am a man)

This is a type of product I’ve only ever read about and never actually used myself so I was quite interested in finding out whether this actually worked as it said it did.

Unfortunately, I did find that it won’t be very effective on darker skin and it’s best to not use these type of IPL machines.
This is because it can cause several issues such as blisters, burns and discolouration so it’s a bit disappointing that I can’t utilise this for its intended purpose.

However, for the purpose of trying to write a proper review, I did ask one of my friends to give this a try, who has much lighter skin than I do.
My friend mentioned that it isn’t too complicated to use and feels like the type you see in beauty clinics.

They used it for a couple of weeks to begin with and said that while the hair did noticeably reduce on their leg, it wasn’t a permanent effect as it slowly started to grow back – they could feel little bits of stubble.
This treatment would therefore need to be done every few weeks for the hair reduction to stay constant.

This item isn’t currently available for purchase at the moment, so I am unable to comment on the price.
However, these type of treatments tend to vary in cost depending on the area it is used in. For example, taking a look online found that the price to get this treatment done on the arms is anywhere between 200 up to 500.

I’d assume this machine would cost somewhere between that region and the benefit of owning this machine rather than paying clinics for treatment is that you can continue to use this at home once you’ve bought it.

Overall, seems to be a good hair removal device. Quite a shame that it is too risky to use on darker skin as I would have liked to have given this a go myself too!

This is a really good IPL hair removal device that has a nice design.
I was not expecting that good quality product as the device is not made by a well known brand.
The IPL hair removal device is really well made and really easy to use.
To turn on the device you need to press and hold the power button.
After that you can use the same button to set one of the 5 levels the device is ready to use.
You have 2 different modes to use the device – manual and auto.
When using the manual mode, you hold the trigger to turn on the flash and once you touch your skin – the device flashes.
There is a button to switch on the auto mode and when using it the devices flashes while you slide it on your skin.
There is another button, which is turning ON and OFF the Dual ICE cooling system.
I personally can’t find the difference between keeping it ON and OFF and that’s why I leave it on as when you turn ON the device ,the Dual ICE cooling system is also ON.
The device comes with device base which is also a stand,a razor and an extra precision head, which gets attached with magnets.
The device comes also with glasses ,which are used to protect you eyes from the emitted light so make sure you use them all the time when you use the device.
It comes with instructions, which are very useful.
The device comes in a nice looking box that can be used as a gift box.

Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.

The review is from my wife :

This UCATINI IPL Hair Removal Machine comes in a nice box; the design is lovely, looks very poss, makes it very much giftable.

The device seems durable, appears to be of decent quality. It is simple to use; however, I suggest you read the instruction manual because there are many helpful and safety instructions to follow, and they are evident. Very impressed with the manul.

I have been using this device for about a month now. It takes me about 8-10 minutes to do my legs and about 6-7 minutes to do each arm.
I already noticed a bit of reduction in hair growth on my arms and legs.
I can see it works slowly but consistently for me, and I do not doubt that after I finish my 12 weeks treatment period, the result will be perfect.

The device is easy to use, for the large area, like legs and arms; however, it’s a bit difficult to use in some small areas as the device is big, which is good as its covers quite a large area at a time.

Overall, I don’t have any issue with this device so far, and I will update my review if I notice anything to mention.

I hope this review helps you to make a purchasing decision.

This item is pretty scarey when you first look at it (it was for me anyway), but full instructions, very detailed, are included and you must read these thoroughly before use.

I have only used it once so far and have to wait quite some time before next use (as instructed) but the item is very well built, sturdy and stylish and so far i can say once you are using it it gets less scary lol.
Follow all instructions and you have a quality machine i would recommend.
My only negative is it gets heavy in your hand after you have been using it for a while, in my case this is a bit of an issue as my wrists are very weak, but i took my time and got done in the end so just bare in mind if you have similar issues.
    Evverything needed is included.
    Really excellent.

I got this laser hair removal unit as I have always wanted to try it for myself.
I really like this laser unit and I find it to be really well made quality, built to last but also slim and sleek looking too.
I do say you have to do a bit of research before using something like this as at first I did not know of certain risks there is with using one.
You CANNOT use on tattoos! I never knew this until I did my learning on these but unfortunately I am covered in tattoos and you cannot use this on tattoos as it can break the ink under the skin and cause issues on appearances.
But I have nothing on my face so where I suffer from upper lip hair I am going to trial it there and only do it to the minimum at first to see what happens.
But finally I really think this device will fix my facial peace fuzz hair for sure but time will only tell.

A nice well made IPL laser. Simple to use and works really well. I have had a laser in the past so was aware how to use these. I did a quick glance over the instruction and set to work. I’ve only used once since i got it as you need to leave a few weeks gap between treatments. So far so good. Love that you can set the level based on your skin tone and sensitivity. It is painless and actually works. Would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a high quality device, it compares well to my much more expensive version of this machine by a well known brand. It feels quality straight away.

This IPL machine by Ucantini is almost identical to one that I have reviewed a few months ago, so this review will be virtually identical. The only difference is the band name, branding on the outer white cardboard sleeve, and the unit itself is a different colour. I have tested this one out and it works in exactly the same way, and I have posted a video of this one to show exactly how it works. As I am currently trialling a different unit, I’m using it on my husband’s hairy shoulders and back and will report back in a few months’ time (as the guidance states that it can take this long to notice a reduction in the hair growth).

This IPL machine is beautifully packaged and looks and feels like a quality piece of kit. It comes with comprehensive instructions which include usage instructions, safety warnings and precautions, who it’s suitable for and who it’s not. It’s NOT suitable for fair or grey hair as these colours don’t absorb the light pulse well, or dark skin as the pigment in the skin will block the light from reaching the hair shafts — the same with any IPL system — so do make sure you have the correct hair / skin colouring before you buy.
The machine is easy to use. It does warn that there may be some discomfort using it, but you can gradually increase the intensity from level 1 — 5 to suit your tolerances. Having said that, all I feel is a warming sensation, even at level 5, and it isn’t at all unpleasant or harsh.

There are two modes: Stamp and Flash mode, where you manually operate the flash using the trigger button, and Slide and Flash (Auto mode) which you select by pressing the button on top of the gun and then the flash is emitted every couple of seconds as you slide the nozzle over the area (most suitable for larger areas like legs / back).

It’s early days, but I’ve written this review as Vine members are required to submit one within 30 days. IPL treatment needs to be repeated multiple times and the instructions state that after 11-12 treatments (over a couple of months) you should see a significant reduction of hair growth. After that, a touch-up treatment should be done to maintain the result. I will come back to this to report on the results. I am using it on my underarm and bikini line, and my husband on his chest and back. He has some grey hairs so it will be interesting to see how well it works for him. I think it’s unfair to award a low star rating just because a product can’t be fully commented on so I’m giving it a 5, based on first impressions and will reduce later if necessary! Have a time of writing this review, there was no price available for me to see so I cannot comment on value for money.

This is a nicely presented hair removal device that looks like a laser gun, and in effect it literally is.
The gun is well presented and it looks sleek and futuristic with its high black gloss on a pink colour scheme. The plastic feels durable and of high quality.
The science behind these machines is that light energy is converted into thermal energy which is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicles. thus, creating an instant heatwave. while the surface layer heats up it inhibits hair growth from the root, resulting in permanent & effective hair removal.
Well, that’s the theory. And in practice, it actually works well. The laser gun zaps the follicles and there is relatively no pain. Included is a cooling feature that cools the surface of the skin which minimises irritation.
There are, however, many circumstances that advise you NOT to use this IPL hair removal gun. This list is extensive and it is all listed in the well-documented instruction manual. Circumstances like skin colour and pigment of your hair that you want to remove. It’s very important that you read through the instructions manual a couple of times before going ahead with the treatment.
Another note worth taking is that you should not look in the direction of the laser light as the bright light is detrimental to eyesight. Fortunately, a pair of shaded glasses are included.
Overall, this is a very good gun that offers what salons offer at a much cheaper price. What it doesn’t offer is the expertise that an experienced practitioner may offer. But, if you fulfil the criteria and have the nous to follow instructions intelligently then this is an effective and practical device.

I should first add about my review that any lasting effects from using this device will take awhile longer yet before I see any changes.
The device itself if very easy to use but you do need to read the instructions throughly before using as there is definitely a few do and don’t’s.
I’d also keep before purchase if it is suitable for your skin tone and hair colour, I had never realised it was such a limiting treatment that not everyone can partake in.
Thankfully I’m a brunette with pale skin so i was all good to go.
Needs to be plugged in during use which is a bit of a pain but workable.
Causes me very little discomfort, the inclusion of the cooling effect eases any pain.
I’m very hopeful and looking forward to the coming weeks to see the final outcome.

Update it works! My legs are by and large smooth and hairless.

First thing to mention about this IPL hair remover is the price, wow! My wife looked into purchasing one of these years ago, but at the time they were so expensive she decided against it, So when we saw the price of this we couldn’t believe it! The IPL came very well packaged and presented, it looks very professional. There is a base which needs to be plugged into the mains, and then the handset is connected by a good length cable. You must make sure you thoroughly read the instructions before using the device as only certain skin tones/hair colourings will get positive results. To get the best results you should shave prior to using the IPL, start off with the lowest power and work your way up, and make sure you wear the safety goggles. It is early days so we haven’t seen the results yet, but due to the high-quality device we believe it will work great. Very happy and recommended to others.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI’ve been using this IPL hair removal device for about a month now and here are my initial impressions:

Build Quality – Before ordered I was a bit worried about the quality of the product as I have never heard of Ucatini so didn’t really know what to expect but after unboxing I was pleasantly surprised. It feels like a premium product. It feels weighty in the hand and the choice of materials and screen quality all feel like they haven’t skimped in the build quality. Even the box is well made.

Instructions – Another worry was that the instructions would be in broken English but that’s not the case. When using devices that could cause damage if used incorrectly it’s really important to be able to have clear operating instructions and warnings. 4 pages of the manual include “DO NOTs'” which I reread a couple of times just to make sure. It’s also worth noting that the ideal skin tone is fairer skin and to avoid use on blonde, red and grey hair. The instructions also gives you a treatment schedule which is twice a week for the first month.

Using the device – It’s pretty simple to operate, choosing from 2 modes: manual or auto. Personally, I have been sticking to manual to give me a bit more control but auto is a good option if you are using it on a big section of hair. It is as simple as turning on the device via the power button then choosing a strength setting 1-5 then pulling the trigger. With the cooling option enabled it wasn’t as painful as I expected. I usually epilate and it’s less painful than that!

Results – I have been using it for a month so it’s a bit early to know the long term results but so far the early signs are really good. I’ve noticed that my hair is growing back a lot slower even vs waxing/epilating. I am going to keep using it for the next few months so hopefully, this continues.

Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. It’s cheaper than the well-known brands and I hadn’t heard of Ucatini previously to using it but the quality of the product shows and more importantly it’s delivering the results I wanted.

    So far so good!

I have the Phillips Lumea version, that I’ve used for a few years now. I haven’t actually used it much for the last year or so, but I’m pretty familiar with how it works. I’ve reviewed this as a comparison.

This is quite an impressive machine for how much it costs. I would say that it’s really similar to the Phillips. It is suitable for the same hair and skin tones as the Phillips and uses the same technology and even shape (see photo). There are some key differences though.

Firstly the Phillips is smaller and easier to hold for a long time, for example when you do your legs. The other difference is that this one has a stand, which is a good thing and makes it a lot easier to place the machine somewhere while your shift position or whatever. It also comes with some extras. It comes with some dark glasses, a really cheap razor (that is almost not worth mentioning but if you didn’t have one, I guess it’s a nice addition?) plud the cables to attach the machine to the power as well as one attachment. The attachment is where the main difference of this machine is. The attachment makes the ligght window a similar size to the Phillips. The light window without the attachment fitted is far bigger than the Phillips, which should be a good thing as it means you’re done quicker!

However when it comes to face or delicate areas, you sometimes need a small window. The attachment gives you that option and it just attached onto the large window via a magnets so super easy! This is much better than the Phillips where you have to unclip and clip on different attachments. The issue I have with this attachment is that there is just the one and there’s no real difference given between Bikini line, legs and face as the Phillips one does. This is more about the size. Basically the Phillips one has an attachment for each of the different areas. They each have different colored glass to make sure that it’s the right type of light for that area. I am a bit wary of using this on my face because of this. However, that being said, the box and instructions are all excellent quality and properly translated. It has all the CE marks you’d expect and feels like it’s been built properly. This isn’t a cheap machine!

Looking at the cost of the Phillips, this is slightly cheaper however it’s not a fraction of the cost so it’s still a lot of money for a brand that I’m not familiar with. Personally, I am happier to use the Phillips on my face and bikini area but I will use this on my legs as it’s quicker. The results seem very similar.

As with all IPO machines, it takes time to work and you need to be very conscientious and diligent about doing it to a certain schedule. Once you’ve used one of these though, you really do want to keep it up because it does work and it makes the summer so much more enjoyable! Shaving is such a pain and waxing really doesn’t work for me for a long summer.

So I guess in summary, this is a good machine and is cheaper than the Phillips. If you’re buying this for just your legs then I’d say go for it, but personally, if you’re doing legs bikini face and under arms, I may be swayed towards the Phillips.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersFor 189.99 (at the time of writing), you’ll get a brilliant IPL hair removal device from Ucatini that works the same as the well-known brand that costs more. It comes well-packed in a nice premium magnetic box.

Besides the IPL device, included in the package are the base with UL adapter, sunglasses, razor, AC cable, additional precision head and instruction manual. The modern looking design, has 5 energy levels and 2 flash modes. It features a dual smart cooling system which can help reduce discomfort and pain during the process, which is perfect as I have sensitive skin, and any razor is not comfortable to use, would leave scars and irritate my skin after each use.

It seems well-made, durable, lightweight and comfortable to hold. The laser flash is painless and there’s no discomfort at all.

After using it twice in 3 weeks, I can say that the result is pretty good. It’s easy to use, but just make sure to read the instructions carefully before using it the first time.

The hair growth is very slow, and I can only see small light patches of hair growing. With continuous use, I believe I can see more desirable results. I have not experienced any adverse side effects from using this device so far. I should say that the IPL works most effectively on a light skin with dark hair though.

Overall, a great quality IPL device that’s easy to use and works as advertised. It’s an easy recommendation from me.

Thank you for reading my review. Hope you have found it helpful.

OK so fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it my hair colour is way too light for this, but my wife on the other hand is the perfect candidate, dark hair and fair skin. If your anything but that then there’s not much point reading further if it’s for yourself that is. If it’s as a gift then by all means read on.
There’s a lot of warnings and talk about not using it on moles nit using it on recently tanned skin etc it’s enough to put you off using it to be honest! But my wife is a bit more dedicated to the removal of hair than I am so she ploughed on with this experiment.
In the box you get some very cheap feeing glasses, now theses do not fill you with confidence that they will protect your eyes from hair burning lasers but I’m sure these companies know what they are doing. The device itself is very large and cumbersome but does treat a fairly large patch of hair compared to a device my mum got a few years back that looked like you’d be there for weeks lasering your legs with the tiny thing. You also get a shaver as well which is surprising, but your supposed to shave before you start any treatment so it’s handy to have a spare.
It has touch controls on the top which allows you to set the phaser settings! She tried it in stun mode to begin with which is the lowest setting just to get a feel for it. This has a cold setting for the end as well which gets surprisingly cold pretty fast! I was impressed by this as whatever they use to chill the end is pretty small and I was more interested in finding out how that worked than the actual removal of hair. My wife on the other hand was just thankful she had unburned skin. So she upped the intensity to something a bit higher than stun and got to work blasting away her follicles.
A week or so later she noticed that the hair was not growing back as much as it did before on her legs. So there was maybe some areas that she missed and had to shave and redo those areas, but just blasting away while watching something on Prime makes it less of a chore. Although because of the size of the thing it was difficult to get into certain areas. But you do get another attachment for doing small areas on your body. My wife has freckles on her face so didn’t want to use it anywhere near her face because of all the warnings.
Overall it does do the job providing you have the right skin complexion and correct hair colour. It’s a heck of a lot of money to spend on something only to find it doesn’t work for you.
Maybe you spend a ton of money at a salon getting your hair removed constantly, if so then this may save you a small fortune in the long run. Also if you have a partner that doesn’t mind blasting you with a laser for a while then this also maybe for you. But there’s a cheaper quicker way and that’s with a good old fashioned shaver. Sure it doesn’t last as long as blasting out your hair but it’s certainly a lot quicker and a heck of a lot cheaper.
I had to give it four stars though as it does work and the instructions and warnings are very clear. Also looking online it’s a bit cheaper than the well known brands that surely just do the same thing, maybe they come with better safety glasses who knows.

IPL (intense pulsed light) treatment is something I thought might be a fad, but if you do put the initial time into the sessions to remove the hair, it does just what you want it to. You absolutely MUST read the instruction booklet as there are a lot of possible negative side effects if you fit certain criteria (e.g. on Roaccutane treatment for acne/general drugs which make your skin photosensitive). You can’t use this if your hair is really fair, either, as it just won’t work (not enough light is absorbed by fair hair). It’s also really important that you don’t wax or pluck your hair just before treating it with this IPL device. It takes multiple sessions to get rid of a lot of your hair permanently — it kills the follicle so it’s great because you don’t have to worry about ingrowing hairs being a problem.
Note that your hair doesn’t immediately disappear (in fact it looks a bit worse shortly after, apparently due to the hair being pushed out of the follicle) and it does take several time consuming sessions to lay the ground work for it to be effective in the long run.
The Ucatini home use hair removal device is easy to use and get used to incorporating into your daily routine. Yes — it needs maintenance, but after the first few sessions which take more time, it’s a quick ‘top up’ and you’re smoother for longer than shaving, epilating or waxing. There are a couple of awkwardly translated phrases, but none of the important content is lost and it’s packaged beautifully, plus it includes a stand, goggles and razor to help you get started and stay safe. Really like this product and think it’s the future of hair removal. I’m just sorry if your hair is too fair for it to work!

I gave this item to my wife to try and test. She bought an IPL product in the USA 9 years ago. It cost a small fortune, it is very bulky but it does seem to work. This product is a lot smaller, is easy to use and seems to work very well at removing unwanted hair. To use it, you simply plug it in, wait for the green light to turn on and then fire it at the hairs you want to remove. It is easy to angle the unit to remove hairs from any part of the body. The unique part of this product is that instead of the intense heat of the older machine, this product fires a much cooler shot of light, which is great for the more delicate areas. You do not get the same “burn” effect. The hair removal is painless but it does make the skin feel a bit warm without using the ice mode. It takes about 5 minutes to remove the hairs from the leg and just a few minutes for underarm hair.

Overall this is a very impressive product that we are happy to recommend.

My husband has a very hairy back and I have always preferred a smooth one.
We didn’t know if this cheaper version of IPL treatment would be up to such a monstrous challenge.

It has done a really good job. It’s not an instant cure and takes some time but it does yield good results.
It’s important to note that the effects aren’t permanent but it is very nice for now.

Much better than shaving for sure.
This would definitely have been worth the investment.

Quite like this laser hair removal kit! I was a bit nervous to use at first as I was convinced it would hurt, but it’s really not that bad! You can barely feel anything, although be careful if you’re tattooed! I’m heavily tattooed so couldn’t do my entire body/limbs as the laser reacts with the ink in your skin and apparently can cause burns, I didn’t want to risk it. Apart from that, it’s easy to set up, easy to hold whilst using and looks very sleek!

I say hair removal it’s more hair diminishing and even after just over 1 week of use it is starting to give results so I’m impressed so far, the packaging is top-notch and the device whilst not heavy does have a quality feel to it, in use, it’s not at all painful or uncomfortable and I think also great value for money, it comes with some anti-laser glasses and also a razer, as well as 5 power levels this also has unlimited classes so should last years and years, all in all, 5 stars from me.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have an old ipl which I never felt worked despite costing a fortune, so I was really pleased to get chance to use another one and I love it.

It arrived beautifully packaged. Despite being really excited to use it, I made sure I read the instructions fully as there are so many restrictions with an ipl and I didn’t want to risk any burns.

The instructions are amazing – really well written, in large writing so I could see even without reading glasses. And if you are in any doubt if it is suitable for you, there is a clearly written page which shows every type of hair colour and skin tone, and shows whether it is suitable for you, or not.

It recommends using in a brightly lit room and wearing the glasses provided.

You start by testing each area on number 1 – ie face, legs, armpits, bikini line. If you have no reaction, move onto level 2 once in each area. And so on until you get to 5. And then wait 24 hours to make sure there is no reaction.

So I have used it twice fully after the tests. So far there is no change in most areas but a little in my face which is great as I get a lot of ingrowing hairs. I love it. The only negative for me is that it doesn’t work on white hairs which tend to be the ones that ingrow the most. But any improvement is better than nothing.

So far I am totally impressed with this and despite the price tag, I feel its worth it and would definitely recommend it.

    Very impressive

Great product that works really well on lighter skin tones especially if they have light skin and really dark hair.
The quality is great. It feels sturdy and solid. The cooling was also new and feels great. It is very easy to use.
It’s a shame that dark skinned people can not use it. I was very excited until I realised this. My friend seems to be benifiting from it quite a bit. She is white with pretty dark hair. So far she has no complaints and is currently enjoying the cooling system.

This arrives nicely presented in a good looking box, ideal if you want to give as a gift.

You have two main parts, the handheld hair remover and the base which it sits on to charge etc. There are also a few accessories included.

The idea of these is you target an area, place the handheld device against the area and press the trigger, this will painlessly remove hair via it’s safe laser, and it’s very effective.

I do think you’ll need time to use something like this, it’s not a quick job.

You’ll need to check first that you’re able to use IPL Hair Removal, there are a number of groups skin wise that are not suitable, and also hair colour including grey hair.

I do like this, I’m always wary of using a laser product, this does work, but I have my reservations using long term.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our Users***BEFORE PURCHASING PLEASE CHECK YOUR COMPATIBILITY***
As per the above, it’s imepritive you check your skin tone and hair compatibility to ensure the product is suitable for you. I’ve included a photo of the chart to help. This IPL Hair removal device comes from UCATINI and includes a very thorough manual. I would recommend fully reading this to understand how to use the product and any precautions needed beforehand. At 249.00 (Plus a further 50.00 off with a voucher currently available) this is a VERY well priced product much cheaper than the market leaders and a very attractive option. The product comes with a 180-day money back guarantee and 2 years warranty as per the listing and offers a permantnet yet painless way to reduce hair regrowth. It’s a one-time investment if it works and will reduce your need to get hair removal done or having to wax/shave regularly.

The IPL device includes a very nice comfortable large handle making it easy to grip with a chrome plating that has the buttons on them. You can use the LCD indicator for a visual display and the body features a dustproof and anti static design. The best part about this product is that it features an unlimited amount of flashes so no costly replacement needed. For personal use this is a lifetime product and definitely holds an advantage over others in this field.

As with other IPL treatment, it’s recommended to remove hair by shaving prior and a razor is included for this. ALWAYS wear safety eye protection to prevent daamge to your eyes. The flashes are relatively painless and the cooling technolgy built into the device helps alleviate this. With 5 levels of power intenisty you can vary this for different areas or what you need for your skin. The device plugs inv ia UK mains and the plug is included as well as a dock to put the gun in when not in use.

There are many Do’s & Don’ts so please do read the manual for all of these.

You do get all that’s needed to use the product and I hope this works for you if your skin is compatible. It does take a few sessions but the end result will hopefully be worth it.

Excellent value vs other main brand IPL machines

I’ve been using another device like this for a while, and by comparison this one is a step up in all aspects.

Quality is great, the unit is solid and well made. The power levels are a good range from fairly gentle to really quite powerful, more so than the unit I already have.
What I like particularly is the cooling addition. When you switch it on the metal face of the unit (around the flash opening) gets cooled like a refrigerator! It’s an awesome addition to a device like this as you get instant cooling relief if you hit a sensitive area.

You also get an attachment to focus the flash to a smaller more concentrated area, great for targeting smaller or difficult to reach places.

Overall this is a very well made unit, with a good deal of power on the higher settings, plus the cooling mode that works remarkably well. Very happy with this.

Golden Review Award: 45 From Our UsersHi Everyone

My review will be long, however everything important, so no good skipping, I am here to help with this product.

    So firstly

Arrives in an excellent pleasant box, one should be kept and placed somewhere safe after use

I am very used to these kind of home devices to get rid of hair

The last one I still have to this day and was priced at 179, this is dearer but a lot better and bigger at 224

Also what I love is the fact, there are unlimited flashes, this is important especially paying a hefty price.

The instruction manual all in English, credit where credits due, the best manual ever to be received. Comes with excellent instructions, a colour chart, trouble shooting, what the labels and symbols. The images are clear also.

The laser has a lovely shaped dock, fits secure

    Used on the mains

Green light when ready to use

    Easy to turn on

I advise to wear the dark glasses, I wore over my own glasses, it’s automatic to want to see the flash, not advisable

I took an image of the colour skin this laser can be used on, for quickness really, because as a warning, certain skin types will not work

So one of the ‘ no nos’. Is if you have tattoos, do not go over them. Mmm I do have tattoos, and down one side of my leg and arms covered. Makes using that bit more difficult. I am not sure if the laser takes away the tattoo or not. However I forgot silly me and went over my leg on the number two cycle, what happens it stings on tattoos, not a bad sting, but nevertheless I felt it

Also not to be used straight away after waxing treatments, must leave a while, information I will give shortly.

Same with sun beds whether at home, or shop.

Ensure skin is free from lotions, potions etc

Ensure no make up, oils, creams etc

** YOU DO NEED TO SHAVE FIRST** before using, to get the hair down to virtually nothing.

The device has to be used snug to the skin, if flash doesn’t go off, move it slightly, remove from skin, and go to the next section

The device itself is heavy holding after a long time. Bearing in mind at 5ft 9″ I have long legs, I also did as shown in my video, upper lip and around the chin. I am naturally mid brown in hair colour, but dyed presently.

    * Truthfully, this device does not hurt at all*
    * stings if you catch by accident tattoos as mentioned

The device has a cooler, and because of the length of time I was using, does get very warm to hold, however can still be held without discomfort.

**So here’s a bit of information to read about the unit and my findings.**

    Skin reactions can occur

Do not use in the nipple area, moles, genitals, or around the anus, the reason being, certain parts of the skin has different colours and pigmentations

Do not use over birth marks, warts, moles, burns, blisters.

Do not use with skin conditions, ie, eczema, acne, herpes or cold sores,

Do not use under the age of 18

Do not use on men’s beards, facial hair

Do not use on naturally dark skin

Do not use on sun burn

Do not use on certain medications like NSAIDS ( ibuprofen for example) antibiotics

Do not use on skin peeling techniques

    No to tattooed eye brows

Do not use near wet surfaces, showers, bathrooms

Teens can use 15-18 years old with supervision

There are a lot of * do not use* however more safety than anything and common sense

No good for people with light blonde hair, red or white hair as in natural

The AP10 works by gentle pulses on the hair to permanently kill off any hair, once the procedure has been treated over a few weeks, only top ups needed for straggler hair. The areas you do needs careful consideration as will not grow back.

The IPL will only work in the growing stages of hair

8 week treatments are needed, so I have put in my diary/ journal to do the next stage, so I can keep on top of it

When starting the procedure, think to yourself, have I got time to complete. Rushing will not have the effects needed for a smooth job.

Do not expect results straight away, you will still feel lots of stubble on legs etc, the hair follicle needs to dye, hence the eight week treatment.

I have given a little insight, but instructions need to read more than once. The instructions state in phrases how to go about this treatments..

Ladies can use on upper lips, chins, arms, under arms, even bikini area, but not on genital areas. No to nostrils on the lip itself.

Men can use on chest hair, shave first, back, shave first, stomach, legs, arms. Everything needs to be shaved first obviously.

PATCH TEST recommended first, in case of sensitively

Should be used art right angles

Put the AP10 on the skin, has to be touching, omits a flash, lift off and do the same again and again..

The device must be moved slowly, otherwise areas will be missed, do not go over the area twice

After I did my upper lip and chin hair, no actual sensitively felt, just a little skin tightness

Normal to have a little pink to light red skin, just don’t reuse until skin calmed down

The glasses are essential, I cannot stress that enough

Because I have been using manly on my chin and upper lip as easiest part to trial first, I have not had any hair back only stragglers. My legs will take the longest, but as coming into Autumn, winter, this is the best time to start as legs not on show as much.

Initially this AP10 appears to be a lot of money, but it isn’t because think about all the waxing treatments, individuals using razors and shaving gel, over the years, the money goes up, plus not permanent, this laser is.

On what I have been using so far, I definitely recommend, especially with unlimited flashes, my sensica device is smaller, equally good, but this AP10 is more similar to health & beauty shops. In fact anyone wanting to do this as a profession is a great start to practice.

Be consistent in removing, to achieve the best results

The device does come with a pink razor, but I am using my own.

“YES you DO HAVE TO ALWAYS SHAVE FIRST”

Comes with a two year replacement service

    Package comes with
    One x IPL removal device
    One x razor
One x device base with UL adapter
    One x precision head
One x AC cable with plug

Lovely gift box for safe keeping

In my case if you are lucky enough, a 50 off voucher can be used, and that is excellent

UCATINI have a very good robust unit here, and it is excellent, and so worth the money

    * Thank you so much, if you have got to the bottom of my review

    * I hope my review helps

** Thank you to the selle

So important to read instructions, exceptional device

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAlthough less than half the cost of many others, it will perform just as good.

Out of the box you pretty much get everything you need to get it to work, you get the laser, charger, protective glasses, cream and a razor.

It’s pretty simple to use as well, i was a bit nervous to use it as it was my first time doing it myself, so i’ve just done my legs to start with, make sure you shave the area first, use the glasses and just pass it a few times over the area, you can pretty much see it working straight away or if it needs a different setting, once you’re done just use aloe vera cream to soothe it and that’s pretty much it.

There are 2 different lasers on it, one is a larger one for bigger areas and then there’s a smaller one for smaller areas, i haven’t used the smaller one yet, but it works the same as the normal one.

So far, i’m amazed by how well it works, yes it’s a bit pricey, but it’s cheaper than going and getting it done professionally and it’s much better than waxing or shaving every other day.

Highly recommended, it works well and so far no signs of hair growth!

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersAs someone who suffers from PCOS, I was particularly grateful to receive this firstly I’d like to commentate on the immaculate packaging so pristine & neat!! This came in a big purple magnetic box which not only looked good but felt very premium too.

Everything was so well maintained and packaged nicely in the box . The laser machine in itself is nice and lightweight – not too heavy! The laser machine came with sunglasses and a razor which I found quite nice of the company to give, as well as adding a nice touch as everything is in one place for newbie laser’ers

In terms of the actual product, so far I have used this only once and it has worked quite well. I can’t say too much as I haven’t seen full results yet and do not want to leave a misleading review but so far so good!! I will keep using this to see better results but it wasn’t that painful compared to others I have used in the past. You can use this on your face and all other areas too so it works just fine and does what it’s supposed too.

The pricing is quite expensive but tbh it’s what you would expect for a good quality laser machine as you have here. Overall, would definitely recommend

Sturdy, durable & amazing packaging 😍🙏🏻

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersThere are so many Do’s and Dont’swith IPL hair removal devices, and you need to be really careful that your skin, and hair colour are suitable before buying. As a guide it isn’t suitable for most Asian people, black people, or anybody with a skin colour any darker than white-beige. Hair colour is also important, so even if you fit the skin colour criteria, you should not use this IPL device if you want to remove blonde, red, or grey/white hair. That rather narrows it down to white, with darker hair colours.
What I can say about this IPL is that the price undercuts the market leading manufacturers considerably, and the device itself seems to be just as good, if not better. The ice cooling technology makes hair removal relatively painless, by keeping the parts that come into contact with your skin at a steady, cool temperature. Even so, the device has 5 power settings, and you will need to test which one suits you, and your skin best. Thorough guidance is given in the instruction manual. Another big advantage this machine has over earlier IPL’s is the unlimited flash capability. With a lot of them you need to replace the bulb periodically, which can be expensive. I will be interested to see whether the lifetime truly is unlimited, but you get a decent 2 year warranty, and as my partner intends to use this to treat clients on a daily basis, it is going to be getting a thorough work out over the coming months. If there are any problems, I will amend my review accordingly.
You need to shave the area you want to treat prior to using the IPL, and you also need to wear the glasses supplied, as the flashes are very intense, andcan damage your eyesight. The IPL is easy to hold, and shaped so that you can access tricky areas with no problem. The LCD is placed in just the right position too, and is very easy to read. I have tried it on myself briefly, and I was surprised at the lack of heat sensation on the skin, and at how painless the process was. You simply select your chosen power level, and away you go.
This IPL comes nicely boxed, and the contents include the IPL,base unit, a razor, an extra precision head for the IPL, power cable, and instructions. My partner is thrilled to get this, as her old Philips IPL has been in use for several years now, and is comparativelyold technology compared to this one. The price of replacing that with their current model is a couple of hundred pounds more than this one, so if you are willing to take a chance on a relatively unknown brand, you will save a lot of money. The fact that they offer a money back guarantee, and free replacement for two years, should put minds at rest.
This is a well built, very effective device, and although it will take a little while to show full results, you will be delighted. It will also save you a fortune in salon charges. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersThis system arrives in a weighty shrink wrapped box and the presentation is excellent: nicely done!
The device is beautifully made and I’d love to take it back in time 60 years because it would be very easy to convince someone that it’s an energy weapon of some kind …
Usage is simple but read the instructions … then read them again! As with any energy emitting device you must use it properly to avoid skin damage and the instructions are clear about that …
It’s not painful at all and the cooling function does indeed chill the skin prior to the energy burst that superheats the hair follicle; simple.
I can’t comment on its efficacy because I’ve only had it a few hours but apparently these devices do work and as a machine this seems a high quality example of the type. It’s impressive!
