Ok for growing but you need a HPS to back up with. It’s definitely not the stated wattage and also very yellow in comparison to some other Mars Hydro lights.
After starting out on my project with a smaller, cheaper unit I decided to upgrade to the Mars Hydro unit, primarily because it didn’t have any cooling fans.
It is a far better unit than I expected, and I will buy another when the time comes.
I am very impressed by this lamp.
For 150w draw it is surprising bright and does not put out much heat at all.
I’m using with MarsHydro tent (3x3x5) for which this lamp is recommended – it replaced TS600.
It’s taken plants from seeds to weeds with impressive growth comparable to maybe 300w HPS bulb.
To be run from 10-20 hrs per day, it has performed flawlessly without rest.
The addition of the dimmer means no need for sunshades all the time, too, which is nice.
This is the only lamp I can suggest for people new to indoor gardening, or who are looking to bring the sun into their homes during the winter months.
Perhaps SF, too, but I have my brand loyalty with MarsHydro.

Extremely pleased with my purchase, does exactly as intended, my only annoyance is that two days after I purchased mine, the price dropped by 50.
If your looking for a decent light for a small indoor tent, this one does the trick.
This is the best LED light I have purchased. It works for veg and flower and is cheap to run compared to my old lights. It is dimmable from 0-100 which is a brilliant feature. I start off low and gradually turn up the dial as the plants need it.
160 odd quid and it arrives damaged. Not acceptable really regardless of how the product works.
Update, so mars have kindly refund a certain percentage due to the damage. After a couple of emails they have taken on board what I’ve said in terms of how it was possibly damaged and are going to ensure it doesn’t happen again. The light itself though works perfectly fine and is really bright. Easy to set up and install, perfect for a 2×4.
Produces massive light coverage and really fantastic light projection for a minimum 0.8m++ growing space, used a previous model the TS600 and had good results, can’t wait to see what the TSW2000 produces, thanks for producing fantastic lights Mars.

only thing bad i have to say is my reflector came with a small dent in it but that is probably down on the delivery company! Will probably invest in another in the near future !!!

Is not enough light for my 120 cm x 120cm probably is good for 1m x 1 m ten.but definitely not for 120x 120 .
Maybe a small fan to circulate air around your tent if the environment gets too warm to limit the chances of the unit overheating.
he light worked fine and i was pleased overall but i bought it for the dimmer switch and it did not work at first but now it seems fine very happy
Simple to set up, The couple I purchased for are using the light to put some life into their potted plants: before selling at market. This light is part of a larger set up, this is one of the best LEDs at this price..
When I turned this light on, it was like turning on the sun! It’s so bright, I like to sit with my tent open and get some of those sunny rays filling the room. It really is a powerful bit of kit. The temps in my tent are just perfect with this light…I have a fan blowing on the back of the meanwhile drivers to keep them a bit cooler, but the light itself doesn’t get too hot, and to take better care of the light.
Overall, I couldn’t wait to try this light out, and so excited to see the results of my first run. I ordered and it came the next day…The packaging and slaps you get with the light are awesome. You get two ratchet hangers to hang the light with ease, strong metal hangers that clip to the light then the ratchets, you also get, which I think is extra cool is a cable to daisy chain other lights to if you need to set up extra lights…
And, as a lovely added slap, you get a big sheet of really funky cool stickers that you can place in your grow area to make your grow space look all funky. I thought that was a great touch! I am totally loving this light, and I will definitely be buying again, I am totally sold on the Mars Hydro line now! Highly recommend

The deal was to come with other things like the timer etc. And I only received the lights and nothing else.
For us it’s covering 28 lettuce, an area of 5ft x 2.5ft, from just under 15″ away.
The light is extremely powerful, to the point that we’ve had to reduce it to about 60% because it was burning the lettuce. It could easily cover a larger area from further away at 100%.
Can’t say how it does with “flowering plants”, as we just don’t need that, but given it’s extremely high output, and very good colour spectrum, it’d probably do just fine.
I have been using it for 2 months now and i am very impressed. The vegetative growth is a lot better than the HPS or Metal Lamps. There is no stretching in between nodes what so ever, something even my 600W Metal Halide lamp couldn’t achieve.
There is a remarkable difference in temperature, especially compared to my HPS lamps. My Grow tent is steady at 28 C with this LED set-up compared to 35C+ with HPS (That i had to use a 12″ extractor to keep under control).
And to top it all off, i am saving an absolute fortune in electric, 300W compared to 1000W per hour is like a Christmas Bonus every quarter.
I highly recommend buying one.
