Bought this seat as it looked like the top cover went over the seat when closed in the picture but it doesn’t. Still does the job obviously but not exactly what I was looking for.
This soft close toilet seat is very good quality and excellent value.
It looks smart and is also very easy to fit.

Had a discontinued D shaped toilet pan seat, several ‘handymen’ had said not possible to replace it. This did the job perfectly. Decent price, sturdy and easy to fit. Job done!
Good quality,the size is bigger than the average,didn’t realise there are so many different sizes could not get one locally.fast delivery,soft closing for lid and seat,highly recommend.
Unfortunately the rubber bungs would not fit properly in the holes my Husband thinks the problem was with the manufacturer.
So we had to pay a visit to our local hardware store to purchase replacement rubbers.
Which was a bit unfortunate as it added extra time on fitting the toilet seat that was the main reason for buying on Amazon!!
I tightened as tight as I’d dare being ceramic and plastic and initially it looked good and tight with good rubber grips on the bottom of the hinge plates.
Problem is plates are a slightly flexible plastic so despite tightening they will still flex to some degree and I think this is what leads to movement across the pan.
I’ve installed loads of bathrooms over my career and loo seats can often be crap (excuse the pun!) for this reason.
I had to get this one for the shape to match my existing pan as the original has been discontinued and price was reasonable.
Sometimes you just have to suffer inferior design, sadly there’s a lot of it these days 🙁
Has a wide mouth so better for people with a bit more beef back there. Unfortunately I’m a skinny twig with no meat on his bones, so I find this uncomfortable but my partner thinks it’s great.

Unfortunately the hinges would start to bend every time the seat and/or the lid were closed.
Quality wise, it is not a bad toilet seat, but is not good quality either. The plastic felt very fragile.
The toilet seat had also poor stability and it would wobble on the hinges.
Assembly took a bit of time, but it was straightforward.
The soft close worked like a charm, really smooth.
The quick release buttons worked well to remove the seat and was easy to place the seat back in place. The only issue was that one of the buttons wouldn’t hook into the hinge right away and needed a little bit of pressure.
Both the toilet and the fittings didn’t had the best of quality and we felt it wouldn’t last long until it would break. Unfortunately we returned the seat, the return process was smooth.
Giving 4 stars as the manufacturer was supportive and tried to help out; quick reply to our emails and gave us options to help sort out the hinges problem. Really great customer support.

Once I realised that the bushes were to be removed before installation this was a straightforward easy installation. Easy to clean too

It was harder to get the old seat off (Allen key stuck, wing nut rusted under the bowl) than to fit this new one. We’ll pleased.
I was able to install it in around 25 minutes. It isn’t complicated but instructions could be better. Once on it seems very solid and sturdy so I am happy

Omg what a difference , much easier to install , no fiddling around the rear , nice easy plastic raw plug holds the screw /s in place , large quick release button to adjust

Difficult to find this shape and size in the shops so I wadnt that confident this would fit but it did. Easy to install, if a little fiddly, and fits perfectly. Seems sturdy, been in place now for a few months with no slippage or movement. Good purchase.
Nice , I just wish the toilet seat would be wider it would be more comfortable but definitely recommend buying .
Having spent weeks searching on plumbing sites and bathroom parts sites I finally turned to Amazon and found exactly what I needed. The seat is slightly thinner that my previous seat. The soft close works well, although is quite slow but that is not a problem. Very pleased.

After wrestling to remove my old toilet seat for an hour, I wasn’t looking forward to fitting the new one. But it’s sooooo easy to fit. No reaching around and up the back, it all get fitted from the top. Deffo recommended

The small indecipherable pictures that comprise the installation instruction sheet are next to useless. If I had not installed several seats before, I would have been flummoxed. The seat is a good, sturdy bit of kit that is comfortable enough to stay for a while. It fits my Square end bowl very nicely.
Had to return as crack appeared in seat. On investigation as to why noticed that rear seat rests were not near seat pan hence allowing seat to bow as fixings too high.
I was a bit doughtful about this toilet seat after reading some bad reviews, there was some good reviews, so I took the chance and ordered one. I’m so glad I did, it fitted perfect and hasn’t moved at all, that’s since January 2022 and it’s April now. I think if you follow the instructions rightly then it won’t move. The instructions aren’t easy to follow but once you get round to fitting the seat then it all falls into place. Yes I can highly recommend the toilet seat.

Purchased this seat as mine broke. If was delivered next day with prime. The product was well packed, easy to install and sturdy. I would highly recommend this toilet seat.
Fitted with no problems. Made sure the securing bolts were very tight and have had no issues with movement as mentioned in some other reviews. Certainly a ‘middle of the road’ seat; its heavy enough, but the lid does feel a bit flimsy.
So many of the seats even at this price level are plasticky, not this one, very smooth action with a little weight to it. Highly recommend
Bought to replace our previous RAK seat which was broken. Fantastic value, very easy to fit and sturdy. Better than the original RAK seat which came with the toilet.
So, in terms of fitting, it took longer to take the old seat off & clean where the old fittings were, than to fit the new one… …where, whilst the original was attached using something akin to the 1st attachment option shown in the instructions, offering them up then the 2 black bungs (2nd option) looked to give a more secure & neater fit. Just make sure you have a tape measure/ruler to measure the gap needed between the two pins for attaching the seat as it’ll speed things up.
Yeah, I don’t know if the wobbling that some people have reported is down to using the other attachment option or they’ve simply gotten faulty seats (or perhaps are much ‘larger’ people than I am & are being heavy-handed – or should that be heavy-bottomed?) – but I can’t immediately see how this could happen… …whilst, if you can use some common sense (so “hing” means “hinge”), the parts & diagrams make it simple to know how to put it together.
Now, I don’t know if it’s just me, but the hole in the seat seems larger than normal. So, whilst I’ll hopefully get used to it, the first couple of usages have been a little weird – though on the plus side it centres me far better leading to a cleaner bowl with the usual usage.
& otherwise, compared to the old wooden one, it’s noticeably colder to sit on – though I don’t have the warmest of bathrooms… …but it’s not as if I’m sitting on it a thousand times a day.
It looks good. Is easy to take apart and soft closes fine.
But it is very unstable and wobbles as other reviewers have stated. I’ve never had so much movement in a seat. Shame really as it seemed to be a good product.
I thought it best to wait a while before submitting my review to see how things went, so I have sat on it for a bit and had a bit of a think. Any doubts I may have had have certainly been flushed away as this toilet seat is excellent. It was ordered to replace the second Duravit original which, like its predecessor, had broken within a year because it doesn’t fit the toilet seat it was designed for, and so flexed everytime it was used and eventually snapped. Once could have been an error but twice surely is by bad design. This excellent replacement is a third of the price, looks and fits the toilet really well and is a much better and sturdy fit. I thoroughly reccomend this seat, it wipes away the competition.
This was the perfect size to replace the loo seat on one of our toilets, and was really easy to fit. The only slightly tricky bit was getting the alignment just right. The instructions were not great, however there are many excellent youtube videos top help. The seat itself feels slightly less sturdy than the one it’s replacing but overall I’m very happy with this.
Have found whilst sitting on for a fair bit of time doing the deed, seat ends up digging into rear. Everything else about it is lovely, just wish it wasn’t as sturdy as it is!
It’s a toilet seat, I know. Definitely makes you think twice about sitting on your phone!
I was looking for a reasonably priced soft close toilet seat as it will only be used for a few months as we are having a new bathroom fitted in a few months.
This toilet seat is oval in shape the measurements are length 46 width 37 and height 4.8 cm
Soft closure toilet seats are designed to lower gently onto the bowl this action eliminates clattering and banging of the seat. This in turn should mean the seat will last longer without the risk of chipping etc from repeated impact.
The seat was very easy to install and came with all the necessary fittings. It took my partner approximately 5 mins to remove the old one and fit this new one.
I like the fact that it is made of anti bacterial material it also has a quick release for easy removal to make it easier to clean.
The slow closure is much slower than our old toilet seat. I actually have taken a video of it so you can see it in action!
The toilet seat fits well especially when we’ve fitted it to an old toilet pan. The seat stays in place and doesn’t wobble or move about.
I would recommend this toilet seat.

I do like a soft close toilet seat, so when we had our bathroom replaced about 13 years ago, we chose a toilet with one of those. At first it worked well, but the hinges were only plastic, and one of them eventually broke. Replacement hinges were ridiculously expensive, but it continued to work for a few more years.
Then the place where the hinge meets the seat broke. A replacement seat cost more than the whole toilet did when we bought it. So we got this instead.
Good points – it works; it can easily be removed for thorough cleaning; it was easy to fit.
Less good points – it is very lightweight, so it closes very slowly; it does not have the exact same profile as our toilet pan.
It is good enough for me.
