New to solar and the purchase of x2 100w flexible panels for use on a campervan, not fitted on the roof but using magnets to hang on the side of the van and feeding into an Anker Powerbank Solix C1000.
January 2024 With Total cloud cover – no sun , produced a mere total of just 18w – 9 w each! Slightly disappointed
January 2024 Full unobstructed sun 164w – combined . Much more delighted!
Of interest: The moment any occlusion on the panels, (Partial small amount of shade), brings the watts down to 75w-85w
The panels are well packed and semi-flexible – We can store them under the seats in the campervan when not used. (The 200w Renogy solar panel would not fit so we purchased x2 100w panels) – There was a discount and we paid 161 for both panels (about 80.50 each ).
Recommend and the powerful magnet system appears to work well – we hang up on cable tie loops using the Renogy solar panel brass grommets.
Highly Recommend
Bought this to charge my Anker 757 Powerhouse as my fixed panel on the camper get very little power with the angle of the sun this time of year.
Today with hazy sunshine around midday i got 55 watts out of the panel which is excellent for this time of year.
I have just purchased a second one today as the 757 can handle 300w.
100 watt panel, I’ve had 70 80 watts in the summer in the uk 40 watts in winter but clear day.
Using a Victron mppt! This is my second and already thinking of a 3rd. Very light weight and ridged. can easily sit on top of an awning or a roof or even flat on the ground. But best tilted for full exposure.
Came really well packaged and fits perfectly across the roof of my VW California when fitted on rails. Purchased to replace a dead panel and works great in parallel with my other solar panel. The Renology panel had good power output even in overcast conditions reaching nearly 100W in cool bright full sun condition. With both panels I now get an average of 150W and 9 Amps so perfect for my off grid needs.
Does 110w in UK sunlight. V good on grey days. Flexible and super light. Brilliant product.
Cables short; I bought MC4 extension leads.
Recommended for sure.
Can’t comment on the longevity, or the service regarding the warranty claims.
But early signs are good.
Good power conversion.
Feels like a quality product.
As title, it’s generating good power with an mppt charge controller, but it isn’t really that flexible at all, when fixing in place you’ll want something like a 40kg bag of sand on it, but I’m not sure using both fixing points and adhesive + weight, you’ll get a good result on something moderately curved, maybe… the roof of an estate car… maybe.
Easily linked up to my River 2 and was soon producing up to 92 watts in weak sunshine which is better than I had expected. I chose the flexible panel so I could easily move it around to face the sun. It is very thin but looks pretty robust and has enough screw holes for a semi permanent attachment.
So far so good been on my van about 2 week and works as it should keeping the leisure battery topped up
Excellent overall, and I highly recommend it, especially at the reduced price.
Easy to install Just purchased another one , great power output and so sleek, better than the bulky ones , 10 mins to install, never have to use mains electric again I hope !!!!
Replaced my old panel with the Renogy and was impressed with the performance. I ended up buying a second panel based on this experience. Working great together.
