Bought this to replace an old wifi camera that was being used as a baby cam.
Excellent picture quality and was very impressed with the infra red night vision. It automatically compensates for IR reflection from nearby objects which would have swamped out the picture on my old camera.
The one issue I would have had with using the camera as a baby monitor is that the power light was actually quite bright in a dark room. The was not a major issue as the camera could just be turned so that the light was pointing a different direction and/or covered over. This is no longer an issue though as Reolink have provided the ability to turn this light on/off in a recent firmware update.
Of note Reolink have also updated the firmware so that flash is no longer required for camera live view via the web interface.
The continued software updates is great to see and a sign that the company cares about the product and customers etc.
Only had to reach out to their support once and the problem was pretty much solved with the initial response so credit to them on that front too.
Side note: Currently reviewing options for a home cctv system at the moment and Reolink are the front runner right now
..if you are hoping to catch faces or registration numbers at a distance of more than 10-15 feet this isnt the camera for you. at a monitoring device very good.

Got this device for watching the entrance to my property. Sensitivity can be set to trigger on any movement, cats, pigeons, questing beasts, etc, or can be turned down to just trigger and read the registration on the juggernaut of burglars that is emptying your house. I have set mine to upload to the internet, so that even if the perps take it with their haul, the images are still retained.
The night vision LEDs are great, but you can’t use them through a window because of the reflection from the glass, so you need to fit motion sensor lights outside, and to turn the LEDs off.. For inside use, it is excellent, and if your baby is going to raid the place, then you will be able to see everything going on. Sound is two way, so you can shout abuse without risking physical contact.
You can fit an internal memory so that recordings are made directly to the device, but I’ve not set that up.
It has both WiFi and standard network connections, and can be used in both modes. A wired connection is useful if your router assigns IP addresses randomly on reboot, so you can find which one it has chosen. You do need to power it, but the power plug end is USB, which means you can extend it with a M-F USB cable if you need. It can also be powered from a PC or laptop, although I’ve not done extensive tests.
Images can be viewed on PC or handheld, and there is multi-window mode if you have more than one device. You could set up a security network to use for shops, warehouses, prison cells, boarding kennels, stables, surgeries, etc. if you had enough devices.
Customer Support were great. I placed an inquiry, and the answer was back within the hour (and it worked!).
Recommended.
PS, it does have a little brother which is cheaper and with only WiFi connection. This is excellent too.
Suvaillance of car, works with 5gtz router most others don’t, saves to SD card no cloud fees. App is good.
It broke fairly soon after purchase but the guys excellent customer service replaced it and the new one works perfectly, so good I’m buying some for outdoor use

I have 3 of these cameras in my home and the quality is excellent. I have them connected wirelessly to my 8 channel Reolink NVR and would recommend Reolink cameras and kit for your CCTV needs. Great product for the price as well as excellent customer support.
Despus de probar varias cmaras me qued con esta. La calidad de imagen es muy buena con luz normal y en modo nocturno. La aplicacin que tiene est muy bien (tiene muchas opciones de configuracin) aunque tarda mucho en responder cuando quieres mover la cmara, pasan varios segundos desde que das al cursor para mover la cmara hasta que empieza a moverse. Tambin tiene muchos cortes de imagen y pierde muy seguido la conexin y eso que la cmara la tengo al lado del router.
Awesome camera for the money but there are a few things to think about when placing the camera. If you are placing the camera facing outside from inside a room, the glass will hinder the night vision from displaying properly as you will just see the bright glow from the LEDs and nothing else. I have turned this feature off for this reason. Also try not to point the camera towards other windows as the reflections will trigger false alarms, BUT you can get around this by using the cool feature where you can select where the camera detects motion from by using a pen to create zones within the view. Once the camera detects motion, it pretty much records instantly which other brands of cameras do not do. So you are not getting the back of someone’s head like the Arlo cameras.
Also beware that changes in light will sometimes set off the alerts as it thinks there is motion, but I just disable the notifications just before it starts getting dark which you can set custom schedules from within the app. Daytime I rarely get an alert from motion detection unless it’s actually someone setting it off.
Picture quality is great, I would give it a 9 out of 10.
I would definitely reccomend this camera as it’s a great all rounder.
Easy to set up. Worked first time. Needs connecting by cable to router for initial setup but can then be used on various different wi-fi networks. Having tried several of this type of camera this one has been the easiest to set up. Initial impression is that it is very good.
Muy facil de instalar y configurar. Lo unico malo es que el lente baja poco, hay que inclinar un poco la camara hacia abajo para mejorar su angulo de vision. Tiene varias opciones en su configuracin, lo que la hace resaltar sobre muchas otras camras ip. PERMITE GRABACION POR RED A UN NAS. El cable de corriente es un adaptador USB con punta micro usb, si se rompe el cable es muy facil y economico de sustituir. Al registrarla en el sitio de Reolink se activa la garanta de 2 AOS y 6 meses ms. Aconsejo la compra de esta camara!!
