I was disappointed that when I wanted to for the cable I had to get better ones then what came with the lamp ! So important for me was all had to be perfect, and it was not good that I had to go out and get new fixtures ! Not good enough for me so no reason for recommending this product !
Quick delivery, easy to install and as it switched by motion detection you won’t leave it switched on a flatten the battery.
This was so easy to install and detects at a good distance -although it’s solar it’s really good even in the winter months
This solar power light is good for the driveway for added security. It works well to flood the drive with light upon motion, even on dull days. It is durable and weatherproof.
Great light and easy to install. It has 3 settings to choose from. I opted for the brightest setting which stays on for 30 seconds. You can also make it stay on all the time on a sun light which is nice also. Either way, you won’t be disappointed. I’m buying a few more for other areas.
Solar lights have come in leaps and bounds 8n the last few years. Historically they’d be difficult to charge and have a limited light span, but with technological improvements they are now a good outdoor light choice.
I particularly like this solar PIR security wall light because of the separation of the light and the solar panel. Not only does this mean the solar panel can be larger but it can also be places quite a distance (5M) from the light itself, enabling you to make the best use of the sun. It does of course mean that you have wire to mount, so won’t look as good aesthetically, unless you really can tuck away the cable neatly and link to the wall of the building.
I have found this light very effective on the PIR setting, with a good security sensor arc to ensure it kicks up movement from a distance. This light meets my need entirely. Only time will tell how good this light will perform during winter months when there is less and weaker sun, but I’m hopeful that just using as a PIR will mean that it can still store enough energy to work during those months. At under 22 at the time of review, I think this offers good value for money for both the quality of the build and it’s utility in operation. Happy to recommend with five stars.
Solar Lights Outdoor, Jorft 98 LED Solar Powered Security Lihts, 3 Lighting Modes, Dimmable Motion Sensor Waterproof Wall Lamp with 16.5ft Cable for Entryway Walkway Garage Shed Carpot Outside Use
In the box.
The main light, solar panel, cable and fixings.
Set up.
It is easy to put up all you need is a drill and screwdriver.
In use.
The advantage of this system is that the light can be away from the panel so having the light in direct sunlight is not a problem. The cable is over 5 meters long. I put the light over the extension backdoor and the panel up on the flat roof where it gets sun all day. The light has a sensor that can be set to come on when it is dark for a period of time with low or high-power LED output plus always on.
Results.
So far so good. It has been up for a month and worked perfectly. It has not experienced a rain shower yet but it is advertised as waterproof. The light output is good and it has saved running a mains cable and all the associated mess with that. I hope it will work in the winter months as it has proved so useful so far. I will report back if I get any issues.
“Long Story Short”
Solid build
Very strong light
Extremely easy to install
Fairly lightweight but durable
Great security feature
Value for money 10 out of 10
Nice little light – the best feature is that the solar panel section is separate from the light itself, so we can put the light in a dark passageway and have the solar panel charing in the sunlight. You could also use for example inside a shed, with the solar panel on the roof.
The motion sensor is essential for us too, and the dimming is a nice bonus.
All in all pretty pleased with this light.
With electric prices being so high, I am always on the lookout for ways to provide decent external lighting, using solar as the power source. Usually this is a bit of a compromise though as the lights only work for a short time each evening.
Enter the Jorft 98 LED Solar security light. As the title suggests it comes with a large solar panel with integral battery that taken 5-6 hours to charge and last all night if required. With the 98 LEDs and the large out reflectors, the light is also good enough for lighting the driveway. The motion detector is great too, switching off the light when there is no motion – ideal for those areas where light all night is not appropriate.
Overall, a great security light that powers off solar so no electric is used.
This solar light is the best one, as it works perfectly, been using different ones but they didn’t work properly, in this the good thing is that the solar panel is separate from the light so you can put the light anywhere in or out and you still will get light, i did put this light in my shed and the panel on top of the shed and is working perfectly.
I like these lights because are solar powered. It has motion sensor and fits perfect in the garden.
The box include 1 solar lamp, 16 mounting screws, 1 manual and 2 mounting pannel.
Cable lenght 5m.
I am happy with this product and i would highly recommend.
The item came very well packaged and fast delivery.
We use solar lights around our garden, sheds and outbuildings and chose this light for use in locations where the usual all-in-one light and solar panel combined unit wasn’t practical eg for mounting on a bungalow where the solar panel would be in the shadow of guttering.
We have also found it ideal for for use in an outbuilding where is isn’t feasible or practical to install a mains-supplied light. In this case, the solar panel is installed outside on an outside wall or even the roof and the cable threaded through to the light on an inside wall. Once the outbuilding door is opened, then the PIR is triggered and the light switches on. Unlike some similar units, the cable connecting the solar panel and light can be unplugged for fitting so only the plug and cable need to be passed through a hole in the wall or gap in the roof.
The solar panel has been charging well in all conditions over the last month while it has been in use, ie bright sun but also dull cloud and rain/ The light is excellent producing a crisp cool-white light suitable for illuminating a small shed/outbuilding or, if used outdoors, for lighting the way ahead.
The light has a central PIR which triggers the light to switch on as approached, ie ourselves, visitors, delivery couriers or, when used for home security, will illuminate unwelcome prowlers.
The light has 3 modes:
Mode 1: Light off until PIR triggered which switches on bright light for 20 seconds
Mode 2: Dim light until PIR triggered which switches on bright light for 20 seconds
Mode 3: Dim light on from dusk to dawn (or until battery discharged)
It is performing well for us but, although described as weatherproof, we have applied waterproof tape over the solar panel connection plug on the light which we felt was a weak spot.
This is a solar powered outdoor motion sensor lights. There is three lighting modes (motion sensor, dimmable sensor, always-on). There is a built-in rechargeable battery (1,200mAh) and when fully charged, it can give 3hours of always-on lighting mode. It includes mounting screw kit.
Things I liked:
– very bright LEDs (98 SMD)
– modular solar panel which can placed higher (to catch more sunlight)
Overall, this is a great design with a separate solar panel to catch more sunlight on a typically higher point. Wonderful!
I got two of this light as part of Amazon Vine programme from the same seller and of same make. So both the reviews are going to be identical as the price too is same and so are the lights.
This solar powered light has a solar panel which is separate from the light. So it is best for the need where you want to put the light but Sun light is not enough to charge it. The wire connecting the solar panel to the light is long (5 metres), giving enough scope to work out where to setup the light. The light has three modes, I am using the PIR mode. The sensor is sensitive and picked me up well before I was near it. And the light is bright.
In the box, you get everything including the wall brackets, screws and screw plugs.
However, I find it to be a bit expensive at 20.69 for a single light.
The thing about most solar lights is that the panel is directly connected to the light so you can’t place the led body under the eaves or a porch area.
This is connected via a lead so whilst the panel is basking in the sun, it can still power the light. Price wise its fairly standard and you even get motion sensing as part of the package too
Motion sensors work well, it’s a bit weak on brightness but this could be due to the last few days being overcast, LED light panel and the solar panel are running on the same wire which means you can place the solar panel where it can reach more sun light to fully charge the LED’s battery, so this can be used to light up a shed or somewhere that’s a dark area.
I like these because the solar panel can be elsewhere away from the light so it can charge up. This is good for me as I can put the light a little lower down while the solar panel is higher up getting more sun.
Lights very easy to fit. It’s got a good sensor on it and lights up my garden well.
The price for me is a tiny bit high but understandable for what you get. Didn’t put me off getting it though as it’s a great top quality light.
Going to give it top marks of 5-5. Highly recommended.
This is a wonderful light that is free to run and can be installed wherever you need it, without having to run a power lead.
The lamp is compact and pretty sturdy. The solar panel has a long detachable lead and can be situated where it gets the most light, allowing the actual spotlight to be in a dim area where it’s needed.
The connector is the weak point – fairly weatherproof but could benefit from some grease/sealant to ensure it’s properly watertight for many years. Both have mounting points and can be staked in earth as well as fixed to a wall, etc.
The light has three modes. The first is the most useful, only coming on when it’s dark and movement is detected. The second stays on dim and comes on bright when movement is detected, and is good for generally lighting an area all the time. The third is just dim all the time.
The first mode is the best for battery life, the others tend to last until just gone midnight on slightly overcast days. In the winter they may not last quite as long. The light is really bright though and lights up a good area, as much as my 20W LED lamps (around 100-200W equivalent halogen maybe).
Excellent value for such a bright light.
This light was delivered qucikly and in good quality packaging. You are supposed to use it outdoors and leave it to charge via the sunlight. It charges during the day and it stays on all night which is good. It is easy to install and is super bright as well which is good. It has a motion detection feature which is great, and you can also dim the light if you would like to. Good value for money and I highly recommend it.
