Good buy but you need a smart phone to get full menu
Really easy to grasp the function of the drone .Worth the money and had just as much to offer as the more expensive drones in many ways as far as key elements goes .I enjoyed flying this drone and capturing some great overhead shots

It is super easy to set up and then you are ready to fly. I would highly recommend if you are starting your drone journey or looking for a fuzz free but sophisticated drone.

The control of the drone is brilliant along with the with it can do and brilliant for all ages. The camera and video functions work very well as well, all together very pleased with this product.
This drone is extremely fun. It takes a little while to learn how to use it properly but it’s worth the time. The quality is great! Suitable for amateurs!

Okay for the money and a good bit of fu
Great little drone that is relatively entry level but for money and spec – very good. Had mine for 9 months of so and used a number of times and was very impressed. It did develop a fault whereby one rota would turn on as soon as the battery was put in. However I contacted Syma and within 4 days they replaced the whole thing – Wow! Fantastic customer service – buy with confidence!
I’ve had a basic cheap drone before and got bored of it very quickly. I decided to go with the Syma X500 after reading a few top 10 reviews and regularly seeing it near the top for the beginners drones. It was a very good choice! For the price and the features that come with the Syma X500 I’m very impressed and have been getting some excellent photos and videos. It’s quick and easy to pick up and due to it’s light weight it can be flown in most convenient places unlike other heavier models.
First practice run went well, not had chance to test all the features yet, however, so far so good. Haven’t been able to get the controller to control the drone, instead I have been using my phone, however, this is probably something I am doing rather than the unit. After all, I am a man and I hate instructions. I will bite the bullet next time I have it out and read them first.
We love this drone!! So easy to control and much more sturdy than any we have had previously! Took it out for a test flight in the wind today and was really impressed by the footage we got! I love the fact that it has GPS and can find it’s only way back if you go off track. Also love the handy carry case it comes with, perfect to keep it safe while travelling and a handy compact size to store away too. Will be recommending this to anyone to buy! A great gift for any tech lover, or family that just wants to have a bit of fun taking photos & videos.

Camera could be better as it is very small, but in the right lighting scenario you can get some nice shoots.

Battery lasts for around 27 minutes which was fantastic.
Loved the circling part of it and getting the drone to land safely is as easy as hitting a button – literally!
It comes with two dedicated batteries, spare set of propellers, props guards, manual book, a case and bunch of charging cables. It’s got it’s own mobile app for controlling the drone and calibration of its gyrocompass.
GPS mode allows to unleash a full potential of this drone, make use of pre-programmed flights, allows video recording straight to the mobile device through it’s own fast 5G WiFi network, gives full control of flight parameters such as precise altitude, range, speed, battery level and live video feed.
Headless mode doesn’t require connecting with the mobile device and videos in this mode are recorded on miniSD card.
Video quality is more an amateur level, the front HD camera hasn’t got any physical gimbal but it tilts 90 degree, which allows to film from various angles. However you won’t be able to record professional quality footage, e.g weddings, etc – but is good for practicing with the aerial videos and photography. The drone has a 2nd camera at the bottom, it’s switchable during the flight via app.
Since I’m happy with the purchase and it’s a great value, I’m giving it a 5 stars rating.
