Prime Light
Make sure to undercoat your miniatures with a very bright colour such as Matt White Colour Primer from The Army Painter (but Speedpaint will work with most white primers). You will not get the desired effect from a very dark undercoat. That being said, zenithal priming can work just fine with Speedpaint!
Get Ready to Speedpaint
Our dropper bottles come with two mixing balls pre-loaded, so make sure to shake your paints before using them! Then add some drops onto a palette. Beware that pouring Speedpaint onto your wet palette can stain your sponge and may become gel-like if left in the wet palette for a long time.
Load your Brush
Now, dip your brush in the Speedpaint and make sure to use a generous amount to get the desired effect on your minis. We recommend that you use a synthetic brush when Speedpainting, as the thick and large amounts of paint can clog up the ferrule of your expensive natural hair brushes.
Tips and Tricks
You can thin your Speedpaints with the Speedpaint Medium to adjust the opacity to your liking. For more control, paint in sections and apply a coat to the entire surface of the element. Then use a clean brush to remove excess paint by utilizing its capillary action – just gently touch the brush tip to where the Speedpaint has gathered the most, allow the brush a second or two to absorb some of the paint and wick it of on a towel. Make sure to varnish your models when the paint is dry – especially if you are planning on adding extra highlights!

Cette gamme de peinture “speed paint” est absolument incroyable ! Un rendu pro en une seule couche qui vous permet de mler la base, l’ombrage et le dgrad en une seule et mme couche.
Je prfre utiliser cette peinture partir d’une sous-couche blanche bombe en znital sur unr sous-couche noire. Le rend est sublime et vois permet de voir directement quelles zones seront claircies ou au contraire assombries.

Au niveau de la peinture en elle mme rien redire le feeling est gnial et le rendu est top.
C’est facile d’utilisation et franchement le rapport qualit / prix est un gros point positif.
Le seul soucis que j’ai eu est que je n’ai pas eu de pot de medium dans le pack mais la couleur jaune en doubleun erreur de prparation a arrive mais du coup je dilue l’eau et ce n’est pas idal.
Je n’ai pas rencontr le souci de certains qui disaient ne pas avoir le petit livret army painter.
Eccellente prodotto per chi vuole dipingere grandi quantit di miniature in poco tempo. I risultati non sono da esposizione, ma sono ottimi per uno standard “da gioco”. Il color pelle vale l’acquisto anche da solo.
Rossi meravigliosi, tutti i colori sono coprenti, anche i gialli. La confezione conveniente anche includendo colori insoliti che stimolano comunque ad affrontare nuove livree o aiutano in caso di “nicchia”. Decisamente meglio dei concorrenti. Per mani multiple con questi ed altri colori necessaria della vernice trasparente perch tendono a “riattivarsi” nel bene o nel male.
I have always been a person that liked the idea of the miniature wargaming hobby but never found any success with the painting side. Painting was a high amount of effort to get results that were so poor compared to the images you see, particularly on those boxes of miniatures. The closest to success was citadel contrast paints but their big disadvantage is the uneven coloration on flat areas that for me ruined the finish. I know citadel have new contract paints out but it appears that the problems are either still the same or the the contrast has good coverage but not enough contrast in them.
However, these speed paints are a game changer for me. I open the box and in 30 minutes painted a (white based) miniature to a such a high quality that I had never achieved in the past. It was so much fun that I faded a red into a purple on a sword to experiment with good results. I can only say these speed paints are excellent. All of the paints have very similar consistency and spread perfectly, so not to runny that you cannot control and not too thick to produce unevenness. I notice the paints stay fairly wet but I think this is needed to give time for the paint to flow and allow more even coverage on flat surfaces. I even accidentally got paint on a wrong area but found I could wipe off easily with a cloth. This particular mega set has all the colours you could possibly need and has a nice touch of including 2 free high quality brushes. For the first time in a long time I’m looking forward to painting miniatures!
Fantastic paint set with most colors (dont underestimate adding additional medium)that painters will need (except for metallics) these are amazing for getting miniatures table ready quickly. However, if you want a more prestige paint job I’d recommend sealing with matt lacquer prior to additional painting
I am now quickly getting through my pile of unpainted minis, these paints are awesome!
These paints are VERY nice although it must be said that there are some things about them that need to be worked round. None of these are show stoppers however and need to be worked with and not against. So far the colours I have used are simply gorgeous.
I have found these to be a very good set of paints. You will just need to learn how to best use them.
