This drone is the only one we ever had that is so stable and responsive that doesn’t cost 300 plus dollars. The one battery last about 25 minutes
My brother trying to retrieve his drone gift. Waste of 80 quid. Controls are very very delicate so beware…do not over correct any movements. Just let go and done will stop and hover where it is.
Maybe my fault for giving a drone as a gift while hiring a boat…..still a fantastic memory if it was an expensive waste of money.
We’ve struggled with the battery lasting on this drone. We’ve been able to keep it up for about 10 min before it flashes battery low. It also doesn’t fly very far, but thinking maybe we just don’t have all the settings correct yet.
This drone is very well made, and is pretty easy to fly after an hour of practice. The camera quality feed is pretty impressive considering the distance and that its transmitting it whilst flying.
The additional battery for the drone is nice, but you wont be abe to charge it fast enough before the other one runs out, so there isn’t the chance for continuos play.
I really like this item, young kids will have a great time with this, and adults will have an even greater time with it!
Drone is very lightweight (must be to fly easily) and to be fair its body in some placed look very plasticky, not smoothed well. I know its beginners model which it’s not that professional like the expensive ones so I dont mind how the way its made as long it flies smoothly and records the view from high up.
The picture is not to bad to be fair.. I didnt expect much from it but yes, overall I’m pleased with this drone.
It came well packed in styrofoam and a box. There is instruction in few languages and spare wings, caps, micro usb charging cable. We installed the legs (landing gear) and wing brackets (blades guards) to protect the drone when landing or crashing.
The remote control is battery operated-it takes 2xAAA batteries. It doesnt have switch on/off button but as soon we unfold the arms which holding our phone, the remote control switches on and red light comes on too.
The drone is rechargeable-it has removable battery which we can charge on site. Gladly, it came with additional battery so we can continue having fun.
We still need to practice controlling it, we arent professional drone controllers but hopefully we will do better soon 🙂
Drone crashed once and lost the silver cap covering the screw for the propeller but we found it thankfully. . Bare in mind that this little bit easily can get lost.. There are only 2 spare ones so keep an eye on them.
Drone can be used only when weather is good (dry, no wind, no snow, no rain, not to hot) as it’s not waterproof stuff. Its lightweight so, if windy, we can easily lost control of it.
Drone needs to be matched and calibrated with remote control first, before flying. Manual instruction shows how to do it. That’s quite easy.
Oh, I nearly forgot to mention that we need the app called ‘Tomzon-X’. We will need connect it to wi-fi as well..Not the best solution but no choice..
I’m very happy I have this drone. It’s great and fascinating how the world looks like from high up.
This is a great drone for the money. The battery is long lasting & the engines of the drone allow for quick take offs, and quick left & right maneuvers. I love this little drone. I can’t wait to to go on my next Excursion & get some more shots for my blog. I recommend to anyone looking for a great entry drone this is it!
The downside is the picture was a bit choppy while recording video of people moving. I wish it included 2 batteries and the range was much less than advertised.
Also just a warning, DO NOT HIT THE RETURN HOME BUTTON WITHOUT BEING CONNECTED TO SATELLITE. It will just fly off into the sunset. If you do happen to hit the button and it starts to fly away, just hit the button again to regain control.
Support! I contacted the support team at Tomzon and want to relay that their support is fantastic! They resolved the challenge that I was having very quickly.
Pretty easy to get up into the air – once you know how to do so.
Very stable and easy to fly.
Petty clear video transmission.
Cons:
No SD card on the unit- so, the video that is captured is only done so on the phone.
Range is limited – Only about 100M of real world range, before the video feed drops and you are forced to hit the “return to base” button.
The instructions were pretty clear – except for trying to figure out how to do the initial calibration. We had to watch several videos online to figure out that you spin the unit and then ensure that the camera is pointed up, while rotating it on axis again. We still can’t figure out how to save the pictures and videos we take. Also, there is a lot of duplicity between the phone’s screen and the controller. I’m still not sure if the antenna on the remote do anything (as I think you are connected via wifi to the phone for controlling).
For the price, it is a good drone to learn on and I recommend.
The drone itself ls pretty decent. The numbers dont really match what it actually presents to you in person. But still a solid beginner drone before you go spend 300 plus
Fairly good. Battery doesn’t last that long but it’s ok. Would be nice to be able to buy another battery easier. Also camera isn’t great as it’s too laggy.
Bought this for my 12 year old grandson. It’s absolutely fab!! Didn’t take him long
To get to grips with the controls. Camera is really good. Battery life good and u get 2!! Excellent value for money. Comes in a case too. I would highly recommend this drone
Its a pity i can’t seem to find any spares for it like propeller protectors.
I really like the auto take-off and landing options accessed via the left shoulder button on the controller. In fact, I never actually bother to do it manually, because the other way os just so much quicker and easier.
It’s also a nice touch that the drone and all accessories come in a padded zip case – I had to buy a case separately for my previous drone. Bear in mind that you can’t store the drone in the case without first removing all four guards
Battery charging time is in the 30-60 mins range, depending on whether you want to fully charge or just have a quick fly. You can of course recharge the spare battery while you’re flying. As far as I can see there isn’t any kind of ‘low battery’ warning, but you’ll know when it’s time to recharge or switch battery when the drone struggles to get above head height.
Pairing the drone to the mobile app is tricky at first, and you’ll have to reconnect each time you power down. I’m hoping that this is resolved in future app updates, but either way it’s only a minor gripe. Once you’re conncted the images sent back are really nice quality, and I haven’t encountered any pixilation etc. so far.
In short, this is a nice and compact little drone that is easy to carry around, and can be ready to fly in as long as it takes to reattach the blade guards — unless of course youre more experienced and don’t bother with guards
Packaged in a nice compact case, I took it out and charged the battery(there is also a spare battery which is very useful) then took my drone to the local paddock and switched it on. Picked up the wireless signal on my phone then set it off via the app.
This was my first flight and the drone was extremely responsive and very fast.
Will get better at flying I’m sure but can’t fault it for the price

Comes in a really nice, storage case. Fast and easy to set up. Took me less than 15mins for me to unbox and get it flying You connect the controller and then the app.
It has a sensor for sensing objects underneath and auto setting works well.
There are two cameras, one at the front and one for below. Using the app you can switch from one to the other and from view to record.
Great quality camera. You have to manually rotate it up and down which is to be expected at this price point.

Battery life is fine for me at between 10 and 15mins with a spare one.
It hovers and holds its height well and lands with one key.
There’s a movie feature on the app and it’s easy to work both the app and the drone.
Very pleased with it so far and I reckon it’s tough enough to withstand a few knocks which are inevitable with my flying skills! But only had it a week so far.

– The app is easy to use and intuitive. Movie maker is a nice feature in the app.

– Stated battery life of 12 minutes seems to be correct (spare battery useful).
