What an absolutely gorgeous triumph of a bench this has been! It looks beautiful in our garden and was easy to assemble and build up. It holds up well in the weather, though we have bought a separate rain cover for it now. It feels robust and sturdy.
The Bench arrived – THANKFULLY! – intact! The reason there’s a “thankfully” there is because the packaging was in pieces and not sufficiently sturdy for the weight of the item! The delivery man also just left it on our doorstep, blocking the front door, in plain sight of the road and without ringing our bell! We were at home and we have a Camera Doorbell so we have a record of his lack of conscience! Fortunately the actual bench was not damaged and all the components were still present!. HOWEVER – another issue was that there was no Allen Key provided with the large bolts that hold the pieces together, nor was there a mention in the instructions that no screwdriver and ONLY an Allen Key would work!! It was sheer luck that I happened to have an Allen Key from another item that was the right size for these bolts! And it is also sheer luck that I recognised that it was an Allen Key that was needed – not everyone would! So … given the expensiveness of this bench, albeit beautiful and certainly one hopes it will last many, many years … i do not think it unreasonable to expect it to be securely delivered, with all its packaging intact and with all the tools required to assemble it!
Looks pleasing and is heavy and strong. Do not confuse with lightweight and possibly cheaper alternatives. Take care to clean out the mortises before fitting together.
Good wood quality and value for money. 5 stars would have been given except 2 fixing screws do not reach their fixing points on each side, bench still very sturdy in-spite of this problem.
A very attractive bench and fairly easy to put together after we requested instructions from the supplier.
Loved this bench, we oiled the bench twice before assembling just to make sure that it is protected, very sturdy, looks fantastic and would recommend this item.

Very chunky wood, solid. Not difficult to put together. I did use a wood preserver prior to building just to maintain the look and to feel more confident of long gevity with it being left outside.

This garden bench looks as “chunky” as I’d hoped it would. Delivery was really quick, it was easy to put together, is very sturdy and solid. We gave it a good coat of furniture oil and it looks great and at a good price too.

i thought the legs might be the victim of some clever camera angles but they are as they appear 3″ square and the arms are 3″ wide ,the seat height is 16″ and measures 21″ from front to back and 41″ between the arms.
should last for years .
update .. after one month woodworm started to appear at several places .
i have treated mine with Cuprinol woodworm killer so hopefully that is the end of it but i recommend anyone who has one of these treat it for woodworm as soon as possible as i don’t suppose mine is the only one to suffer from this .
Excellent solid heavy bench. Only improvement could be fixings – most worked, a couple maybe not … time will tell as may have to be redone.
