I was fortunate that my next door neighbour let me borrow his blower and I was impressed with its performance, and my wife used it with ease. I then ordered exactly the same model and it arrived really quickly.
Leaves accumulate in our garden even though we don’t have a tree and it became a hard work shovelling them up so just got this item and the suction is great and the bag is plenty big enough. The strap and wheels are helpful too
In 20 years I’ve used 3 makes , the last being this one and it’s the best most powerful ever , picks up everything or blows totally away
, but when the bag has been split by damage you can buy another , brilliant so strong
There was an issue with the working of this item and a replacement was sent out the very next day – excellent customer service – I would highly recommend – thank you!
I haven’t used this item yet but will leave a product review when I have done so.
This Leaf Blower and Vacuum appears to be a good bit of kit but there are issues.
First of all the name VonHaus gives the impression the product is German. In fact it appears none of it has ever been anywhere near Germany. It’s made in China for a company called DOMU Brands. Why they have to call it VonHaus is beyond me.
The second issue is the instructions will probably result in people assembling it the wrong way. I followed them to the letter but realised something was wrong with the way the screws were going in. You have to lie the nozzle down on the opposite side to the diagrams and put the screws in from that side. Look carefully at the hole and you’ll see why. The recess for the screw is on the righthand side of the nozzle not the left. The hole is clearly designed for the screw to go in that way with maximum thread contact and for the head of the screw to be flush. If you put it in from the left hand side the end of the screw thread will be turning in thin air.
The diagram for attaching the wheel assembly tells you to put them on back to front! There’s no way they’d fit properly if you follow the diagram.
See pictures.
Pic 1 – nozzle positioned as per diagram
Pic 2 – Screw going in as per diagram -which is wrong
Pic 3 – Nozzle laid down the correct side for assembly
Pic 4 – Screwed recess clearly visible
Pic 5&6 – Wheel assembly laid out as per diagram -which is wrong

Pic 8 – Wheel assembly in the direction it should go on
However, don’t let this put you off buying the product. It works very well and sucked up all the leaves I’d raked out of my lawn along with the clumps of dead grass.
It’s not quiet but neither is the average domestic indoor vacuum cleaner; the noise is a similar level.
The bag has a good capacity as the leaves are shredded up as they go in, saving space in the bag.
Unplug it before you try and empty the bag as the On/Off trigger is quite sensitive and its easy to accidentally switch on.
So far it’s proving to be great value for money. Just a shame nobody checked the instructions before they were printed!
A well designed item and very efficient. It even picks up wet leaves as long as there are not too many at one time. It is light to hold although it does get progressively heavier as the bag gets filled up with shredded leaves, particularly if they are wet. Initially, the bag appears to be on the small side but it does take a lot of shredded leaves and a bigger bag would have made the leaf blower too heavy before the bag got full. As most of the leaves in my garden are either on the grass or gravelled surfaces, the wheels weren’t much help and I took them off. They would probably be more use on a hard surface. The vacuum feature was especially useful on gravel as it is the only effective way of picking up the leaves while leaving the gravel behind. It was easy to assemble once I had worked out to clip the bag onto the tube first before connecting the inlet collar to the main body of the item.
The leaves are well shredded when they come out of the bag, making them ideal for composting.
The biggest criticism is the noise which verges on the anti social. It would have had five stars otherwise.
Very good. I use it as a vacuum most of the time. Much lighter than my last electric one (petrol ones are even heavier), and a very good amount of suction. Really like the quick change to blow mode. I blow leaves into a pile and suck them all up much more easily. Decent length lead. Bag is plenty big enough and easy to remove. Two minor negatives, hence 4 stars. First the shoulder strap is a bit too long even on shortest adjustment.
Also all models block up in vacuum mode, I’ve had about 5 different ones over the years. This one is a little fiddly to remove the suction spout(need to undo a screw) You will need quite a long screwdriver to get the muck out from round the impeller. Remember to unplug, as there is not a safety cut out when the suction section is removed. That said, this is one of the best I’ve had.
We bought it to try pick up pine needles from the gravel / stones. They were wet but it picked some up. I’m certain once dry it will get them all. My main worry was sucking up the gravel. It does pick it up a bit but it’s not strong enough to suck into the bag which was great news. The stones are about the size of a thumbnail.
The machine is a little cumbersome but it can be held easily the shoulder strap was pointless as were the wheels at the front.
All in all a great product for the price.
