Had it for a few weeks now in hawaii. We had winds of 19mphs no issue so far. But I do have it tied down in 14 different ways just to be sure.
We had gone through 4 10×10 pop-ups over a couple years that were thrashed by the wind. This gazebo is way more sturdy and made it through some intense wind/rain storms this winter. The vented top makes all the difference. Hopefully will last a long time.
It is the perfect Gazebo that you can buy for the price. My friends recently moved to a new house which doesn’t have a outdoor covered space and I was looking to gift them a budget gazebo as getting one professionally installed will take thousands of dollars. Came across this and thought to give it a try against Amazons free return. It was so easy to install it. It definitely requires 2-3 people. We live in heavy rain area and so far this gazebo has stood its ground without any problem. Overall a very good purchase for the price.
We got this to host backyard dinners and events. The netting around the outside really helps keep the mosquitos out, which we have a lot of. You can string lights on the inside which is nice for lighting. Follow the directions when assembling and you’ll be fine. We wighted ours down so it wouldn’t fly away but so far so good. Doesn’t leak when it rains and is very spacious.
when I first purchased this one of the top of the tent ripped they were kind to replace and offered to do so only had to do it with pay for shipping. I’ve been through two tents. This is one of the sturdiest. I have it on my rooftop and I like the fact that you can bring it up and down during the storms Built pretty sturdy as others have stated it flipped over in storms. The frames were bent, but it came back in the place and is still standing today.
I was able to put this up on my own. The netting is wonderful since it makes it easy to glimpse the beautiful outdoors. Since the netting is so thin, any velcro will easily catch it. I would have preferred zippers of greater quality, even though they are fine for the price. We also used this as an opportunity to hang out and speak in our backyard because our kids love spending the evening outside. We even brought dinner out to dine inside this gazebo at night because it was so lovely.
Pop up canopy is a go to..
***Did not expect and didn’t get disappointed of this purchase my husband install it for me and he said it was very easy to set up.
I bought it for temporary canopy at our backyard cause it too plain until we able to get our dream backyard set-up.
We love the color and the needs we want is in this purchase we don’t want really fancy and of course not cheap and low quality.
This is a good find with affordable, good price.
We did not install the mosquito net cause its not needed this time.
Some wind came after a week we installed this but we did not see any damage or concern.
Total we think we can recommend and approved this.
The only thing you gotta watch it when the weather or snow better to take it down.
But right now our weather is Ok so we keep it up.
Approved.
I bought this back in June 2022, and it’s now almost December 2022. I live in TX. I bought some solid curtains for it separately. Along with the netting, I also hung the solid curtains on the loops from the top. Sometime in August, I noticed some slight tears appearing along the seam where the loops are sewn in. About a week later, we had a huge storm come through. I should have put the gazebo down before the storm, but I didn’t do this until half-way through. Unfortunately the damage was done. The entire top of the gazebo was ripped to shreds. I contacted ABC, but their warranty doesn’t cover this type of damage, so they sold and shipped me a new top (for not as expensive as I feared). They were very helpful, and I am so grateful. I finally got it put back up. This time, instead of using the loops, I’ve hung the curtains on the metal turrets/arms along the top so as not to pull on this seam. And, from now on, if I know a big storm is coming through, I’m immediately putting the legs to my gazebo down. Thank you, ABC, for ALL of your help!
If you dont anchor it…. I had moved its location and forgot to put the anchors back in. Next day was a windy day and came home to it upside down. DID NOT BREAK! Put it back where I had it and put the anchors back in it and it stayed all summer & fall without moving. The only down point is color of the top doesn’t match the sides after the sun has bleached it.
FOr what I paid it is nice, but it has its flaws. I dont think it would do well in a strong wind though.
item seemed cheap, didn’t do well in the wind, kept blowing over and screen was in the inside not on the outside so bugs could get in every time the wind blew.
Buon prodotto sotto tutti gli aspetti.
Occorrer solamente aggiungere dei picchetti adeguati per fissarla a terra.
Consiglio l’acquisto
Considering this is a pop-up gazebo, it is very sturdy. The instructions are definitely lacking but after we figured out the small top canopy, it went pretty together pretty easy. It can be done with 1 person just takes a little longer. We used the sand bags and the double top allows for better air flow. When I knew it was going to be windy I lowered the gazebo to the lowest leg setting and it withstood 15 mph winds. We stayed outside during some higher winds to watch it and it did eventually try to take off even with sand bags. I took it down for the season after that, as it gets very windy here (40mph+) this time of year. Can’t wait to put it up next spring and use it for the summer!
Love the gazebo – easy to put together and pretty. The grey top fades really bad in the sun. Not crazy about the faded color. If I had to do it over, I would have bought the same thing but in tan – I think tan stays close to the same color when it fades.
I’ve been looking for a while for a sturdy gazebo that won’t cost me a mortgage. Seams like I’ve got one, it’s very well made, high quality materials used on the body structure and the fabric. Easy to assemble,my husband did it by himself. We installed it in our garden and we’ll put the garden sofa, chairs and table under it. The net will keep off the mosquitoes and we’ll get a sheeld to protect from the wind. Loving the colour as it sits well with the nature and the UK weather. Happy with my purchase and looking forward to the next summer to use as a shade area. Would defo recommend i
Easy to assemble and the gazebo is big and looks classic.
The area under it stays dry during the rain and it looks beautiful in my garden.
I am very happy with i
I’ve had this over a year. It’s been great and am totally enjoying it. After a big wind storm, the gazebo blew over and the canopy ripped. I’m still using it but when it rains (if and when in CA) I won’t be able to sit outside. And there does not appear to be an option to replace it, otherwise I would give 5 stars.
Bought this several months ago, FINALLY got in installed on the stamped concrete pad we had built. Looks nice.
+ Looks wonderful.
+ Relatively easy to assemble, although some of the steps are hard to follow – particularly for attaching the string for the curtains ( we just tied them to the post ). If you don’t have 4 people when you assemble it, you can alternate between two people per side – changing regularly to extend it out, and then to raise it up.
+ Assembles VERY quickly. * Note, I am assuming it will disassemble quickly too. I know we can collapse it easily.
+ Product has some weight to it in carrying bag – enough you will need some strength to carry it – or just have two people.
– Mosquito netting needs to be weighted at the bottom, otherwise mosquitos STILL GET IN whenever a breeze blows.
– It might measure 13×13, but it feels more like 10×10. Maybe with the outside edge overlap it’s 13ft, but you aren’t really using that. I’d rather get something larger.
– The string to secure it to the ground is inadequate. So are the stakes. Don’t bother using them. Get better stakes and a nice strong rope.
It’s well worth the price. It looks really nice and the tent portion is very cleaverly built. The directions for putting it up are not easily understood and you need 2 people and 3 or 4 would be easier & faster. Putting the tent parts over the frame was more less easy and somewhat self explanatory. Start off with pulling it open, keeping it low to the ground and fitting the canopy over it. The biggest part we didn’t understand was that you need to get under it while it’s low and you’ll see a bar hanging from the center (ceiling) push it all the way up until it clicks and at the same time it should fully open with the canopy getting tight. If it doesn’t click, it will start to close up like an umbrella. The lower canopy will fit snugly over the corners. We have left ours out on our deck for a month now. It’s been through heavy rains and has had no issues. We will put it away until next Summer in another month and now that we know how to set it up, it will be much easier the 2nd time around!
So easy to put together
Green is a lovely colour not those horrid greens this is really lovely
Very sturdy
Packs away in a bag which is great for storage
Highly recommend.
This was a great canopy and we loved how it was easy to setup and it looked really nice!
It was easy to pack up into the small bag it cam with and store away when not in use. We do not want this all year around outside. Recommend it !
1st one I bought had to be returned because the frame arrived broken. No worries though because I returned it through Amazon. Ordered another one because it looks good and seems to handle the wind very well , because of the vent in roof. Easy to put up and down. Very good value for money and it looks classy and spacious.
Great product which with a bit of common sense was OK to assemble once we threw the instructions out!
Sturdy and easy enough to assemble and pack away too. Used for a garden wedding and it suited perfectly. Looked very elegant. we nailed it to the ground for extra sturdiness. Very good material and packing bags
Definitely a 2 person assembly.
The vented roof really helps to stop humidity underneath the canopy.
Extremely sturdy even without being pegged down.
We have 10×10 popup canopy but it doesn’t have a mosquito netting and we needed something little bigger for my son’s grad party in our backyard and this was perfect so his friends can enjoy hanging out late in the backyard without having to worry about mosquito bites. As you can see, our backyard is very dense with trees and shrubs so there are just way too many mosquitos, especially after the sun is down.
This popup gazebo came in a nice storage bag and I was able to set it up with ease with a help of my son but I could have set it up by myself if needed. I really like the vented ceiling, which also has a mosquito netting. We also used this to hang out and chat in our backyard because our kids love to stay outside in the evening for cool breeze. We even brought out a dinner to eat inside this gazebo at night, which was really cozy. I also like that I can easily collapse this into the storage bag so it’s not permanently taking up my backyard, especially during winter. We will probably take it out at the beginning of every summer so we can enjoy our backyard life more. Love it.
loved this gazebo, only issue is how to stop the netting blowing about. Other than that its been fantastic value for money and it looks grea
I’ve only had it a week, so this is the initial review. Let’s hope there’s not a follow up one.
Overall impression is one of excitement. It has style, space, and insect nets. I love the pagoda style top and it’s just so roomy inside. The inside is silver to keep out heat and I went for the white outer to add to that as it is sitting in the ultra sun spot. Suddenly my seating area is usable again, from breakfast to bedtime.
Assembly claims to be able to be done by one person. I don’t agree. It is sturdy so heavy and robust so the joints don’t move easily. As I with most concertina style mechanism it needs pressure from both ends to expand it which, unless you have an arm span of 3.5m, just isn’t going to happen. It was also heavy so getting it out of the box needed two of us. Having said that we’re not the biggest people so someone on the opposite end of the spectrum might have a better chance.
Instructions are generally clear, just be aware there might be times you need to crawl under or go through diamonds to reach the next bit, especially if you are filling the space you are building in. We got the two canopies on and then moved it over the seating area before fully expanding it.
Space wise, do bear on mind that the outer edge is not the boundary made by the legs, it is the lower pagoda overhang. All fine but just don’t do what I did and try to push the leg up against fence and wonder why it didn’t move…
Things that could be better? The fly sheets create a gap in each corner where the sheet has to go past the corner triangle. The only way round that would be to put the zips in the corners rather than the middles but then you’d have to enter via the corners too.
It comes with small weight bags and guy ropes and tent pegs. I purchased water bags instead and so far it’s stayed sturdy despite some winds as the heat wave cooled (slightly).
I’ve been able to sit outside and work while it is showering and in the main heat of the day.
The addition of lights has been paramount for evening use.
All in all, loving it. I just hope it lasts!!
Instructions could have been better but 2 of us managed to put this up. Took about 2 hours including the curtains. Stays up in breezy conditions. There was a storm last night and it stayed up ok
Fill the 4 bags with sand to make the legs sturdy
Quite easy to put up 1st time ( did it mostly by myself). Very solid and sturdy once up. Leg weights are good.
Make sure you secure to the ground as mine started to take off without too much wind. Nicely secured now and an excellent addition to my garde
Do take 2 people to put up but once everything is done and put together looks really nice
Was quite easy to put up once you worked it out , be quicker and easier next time . Looks lovely am so far quite pleased with it although we have had no wind as yet to test the actual strength of it . It came with 4 weight bags which I wish I’d known about as I ordered some weights as it does not say it comes with them in description although I might keep them for extra support . If it stands the rain and windy weather I would say it is value for money time will tell !!
The Product is better then expected for the price we paid. Please ask ABCANAPY to make a short 2 Min Video on how to put it together on there web. Directions are horrible even though it’s easy to assembly would be so much better for consumer if they had just Basic instructions the ones they provided was use to start my fire pit. Over all great addition to back yard love how easy it is to take down when not in use and store till needed. So we would recommend this product. 4 Stars
Overall it was an easy easy assembly. Some of the directions weren’t very clear despite it simply being putting two parts of the canopy onto the frame. Used two people to make it easier, probably could’ve assembled with one person.
Sturdy design, comes with its own sand/weight bags. So unless you live in Chicago or regularly have hurricanes blowing through your house, you’re probably fine.
Good design, looks nice for what it’s priced at.
Only complaints would be that the stitching seems to be fragile (as seen in the photos) as it came undone shortly after assembly, and that the bug net could be weighted down a bit as it doesn’t stay put even in the slightest breeze.
I liked the design but not the nets as side panels, because unless you put all of them on they just blow about.
I purchased this item in 2021 and didn’t think it would work. However I was surprised how well this popup shelter worked. It was able to stand up to tropical winds of 45 mph as well as the rain. Had I taken down in the fall and winter I would still have it.
But it didn’t do well in the ice storm we had in GA.I am going to buy this item once again it’s worth the money.
We absolutely love our gazebo canopy! It was easy to assemble. I highly recommend two people assemble, it goes so much faster.
We live in MN and the mosquitos are bad this year. Now we can enjoy sitting at our table & enjoy meals, drinks. Music etc. Outside, without getting bothered by insects. The netting works great & zippers are sturdy.
The material is “tent” like and holds up well during rain & mild wind. If storms are coming, we take it down, and then put it back up when the weather clears. I recommend disassembly BEFORE heavy rain starts so it’s completely dry when storing.
The storage bag is heavy duty & has a strong handle. I store the canvas & netting in a separate bag, but you can fold them & store with the frame if you choose.
Our neighbors asked if we were having a party, lol. They now want one. This is a fantastic addition to our outdoor furniture & we’ll get so much use out of it!! Well worth it!!
I love my new ABC CANOPY. I can’t speak about the water resistance yet because it hasn’t rained, but I want to let people know that it is well made. I feel like this is @ least a two person job. I wouldn’t say it is impossible for one person, just easier with an extra hand. CAUTION: EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: If you want to keep this up outdoors all Summer you can but only if you use something other than the stakes & tie downs that come with it. The weight bags could be better also. I would suggest for bags to purchase the larger, taller ones made also by ABC CANOPY. In total they hold up to 130 lbs. of sand , pea gravel, dirt, whatever you choose to use for weight. If you want to leave this up in 25 mile an hour wind, & rain you can. But this is not a hardtop Gazebo and if you are putting it on the lawn in your yard you need to purchase a different type of ground anchor. I would suggest @ least 16″ L ground ” Earth Augers” . They make some nice heavy duty ones nowadays. Then purchase an” Augo” ratchet set. Augo makes the best & you can purchase the “Earth Augers” and the” Augo ratchet sets “right here on Amazon. The ratchet set comes with 4 straps about 15′ long w/ really heavy duty hooks. Just put the earth Augers in the ground first, and screw them down into the earth either manually , or some have an attachment where you can use a drill to turn them. Avoid areas with roots & rock obviously and once flush with the ground attach one end of the ratchet strap to each earth auger and hook to inside top steel bar of the canopy ,tighten the ratchet & all set. If you do not you will find your canopy in your neighbor’s yard,or upside down & ripped out of the ground ,even seen broken windows . These will withstand a normal summer thunderstorm and some wind if you do this. The stakes & ties that come with this product will not hold it down and your Canopy will most likely be ruined along with anything in it’s path when it goes airborne. VERY IMPORTANT. DO NOT USE THE GROUND STAKES AND ROPE THAT COMES WITH UNLESS YOU PLAN ON PUTTING IT UP& TAKING IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY AFTER USING IT .
Went up easy. I’m 70 years old with severe arthritis and still was easy. The only thing I don’t like is the screen doesn’t have ties to keep the corners from blowing in the wind. We can fix that pretty easy but shouldn’t have to.
Used for garden party . Will keep up from june to september If secured to floor correctly it can withstand medium to strong winds
Very sturdy and robust quality. Relatively easy to erect. Impressive product for a reasonable price.
Very easy to assembled
Quick tip though from one who never reads instructions
1) pull the frame out on lowest legs first
2) attach both canopies
Small one Ties to the big one at the corners
3) make sure you feed the big canopy through the long poles on each corner first then put the canopy corners in place
4) that’s I honestly the most complicated bit
Then is just extending the legs and
Hanging the fly nets this product also comes with sand bags you can attach to each leg
(But no sand)
Definitely worth the money and looks super expensive.
I am a very happy customer 100%
Really enjoyed this gazebo while it lasted. Friends and family commented on how nice it looked. It’s huge too! 13X13 is the outside measurement of the canopy with the inside of the support legs being about 11X11. Easy to put up and take down if you have two people (takes less than 5 minutes).
Is NOT meant to be left up all the time. We had ours tied down really well but a storm popped up while at work and came home to a destroyed gazebo. I dont blame the manufacturer for that though, it simply wasn’t made to weather high winds.
If you plan on using it when the weather is good then I would highly recommend this. It’s really good quality for the price
Excellent value, would highly recommend. Two people to assemble, albeit relatively easy.
This is very sturdy and heavy. With decent instructions, I would have assembled this a lot quicker. The only really good bit of the instructions was the parts list, the rest left a lot to be desired.
This is bigger that were expecting although we did measure the area. Instructions a bit backwards, we discovered if you keep the main body legs low and then push centre jump it’s easier.
You have to screw down on decking as the wind just loved to move it around, but it is nice and good value for the money
I gotta be honest that I am very happy for the gazebo purchased. I have always wanted to have a canopy for my backyard and deck; and this product fits right on my needs. So after almost three weeks of usage, here is what I think of this pop up gazebo.
Pros/Likes:
1. The gazebo is convenient and easy to set up. As a first timer, it took me about 30-40 minutes to have the process all completed. The guide/instruction must be followed for the very first time. Afterwards, it’s pretty straight forward. Just as the description mentioned, the frame is foldable and can be stored in a carrying bag, which is quite portable to take anywhere.
2. It does provide a decent water/rain resistance and UV protection. With the mesh sidewalls, there is also a good level of privacy and bug protection.
3. It is. large enough to fit 4-6 people, each with enough personal space. The 2-tier vented rooftop definitely ensure the airflow go through well enough.
4. The canopy structure is relatively well built and can be installed firmly on the pretty much anywhere, i.e. lawn, wooden deck, concrete, as long as it’s a flat surface.
5. The canopy top can be switched to other colors. I just wish the seller can provide the option to buy the top separately.
6. The canopy’s design looks amazing.
7. The price of the product is very affordable.
In terms of what can be improved or shall be considered prior purchasing, here is what I think the cons are:
1. This is a pop up style canopy. Even though the built of the frame is quite good, it is not suggested to be stand permanently outdoor. In other words, please don’t treat it like a patio outdoor/garden canopy shelter. It is not recommended to be used in extreme weather conditions.
2. To use it in a windy environment, extra weights (sand bags) are highly recommended because the canopy itself is just not heavy enough. It won’t break, but it will be annoying if it’s warbling in the strong wind.
3. The quality of the canopy top (fabric part) can be further improved. Besides, there is no washing instruction for it, so I am assuming it’s not washable (a drawback). Additionally, the height of the canopy is not adjustable.
4. The setup instruction manual can provide more detail.
Well, above is my two cents about this product. I hope it will be helpful for the potential buyers who is considering this canopy.
Overall, I am very happy about this purchase and think it fits very well on my deck. I also look forward to using it in a lot of occasions and locations. Just wish that sand bags and other accessories (i.e. backup rooftop) also came with the package, or at least purchasable as additions. Hope the seller provide all the options suggested and keep improving the future products.
Putting it together was simple enough once I watched a couple YouTube videos. The instructions could be better .
So far it’s gotten through a few rainy days without issues.
All in all it’s worth the price, hope it makes it through the summer without too much wear and tear.
It’s not a 1 person set up. You need 2 ppl because it’s new and stiff. Biggest problem, in my opinion, was how to hang the netting. You can’t really tell
how it’s supposed to be hung so I just kinda winged it. You may want to use a thicker/ more steadier (proper Eng?) roper per say to tie the stakes in. Give yourself 2 hrs to set it up, least the first time. Will try to edit my review to show the inside roping for the netting.
Keep in mind the sewn in holes for ventilation also allow for the rain to wet inside floors.
Overall it does look really nice!
Well made and frame very sturdy- do use the weighted bags (I used sand) as wind will lift.
The quality is pretty good and it’s nice looking for temporary tent/canopy. It’s easy to put together, but the included instructions are terrible. A QR code to connect to a instructional video would be a nice addition. It has a sturdy metal frame that can easily support things like string lights hung from the top. It’s not bug proof, but it it seals up nicely on all sides. The vent at the top has large gaps that open if there is a breeze and flying insects can enter this way, especially at night if you have lights up there that will tend to attract insects. The canopy fabric is made from a moderate weight plastic, so I am concerned that it may tear in very strong winds or storms, or small tree branches falling during the spring/summer/fall season. It is not meant for year round use in cold weather climates (i.e., it will not support the weight of snow and ice). It would be nice if a replacement canopy was available, but another reviewer mentioned this is not the case. Functionally it is good. Once it’s all zipped up and closed, most bugs will be kept out and you will likely stay dry in a light rain. However, it is also awkward to zip and unzip the side panels to let people in and out. It would be nice if at least one side had a way to more easily open and close it for ingress/egress. Overall, I like it and hope to get at least a season (or two) of use out of it before the canopy tears beyond duct tape’s ability to repair it.
I’m missing the top Canopy no one seems to be getting back to me about this can someone please help me
Very happy with the product and exactly as described on your website
1. The canopy top is 13X13
2. Interior of the gazebo 10×10
3. There are drain holes in the roof so the water doesn’t pool but they are located at the edge of the inside of the structure so the water drips inside at all four sides.
4. Material seems better quality then a previous brand I had.
5. Adjustable height 3x inside which is nice you can hang lights or a fan
6. Everything comes in carry bag Although it is heavy to carry for small person.
7. Best for 2 person install but wasn’t difficult ( directions could be better for hanging the screens)
8. I have only had it up for a few days
I personally was disappointed as I wanted a 13×13 interior space so the description is misleading. But I do think the quality of the frame and the material are better than a previous brand I had. I am keeping it even though I am disappointed with the size.
If you read the reviews and look at the photos, you will see one consistent thing… If you don’t secure this properly it will fly away/break.
This is a $200 canopy and you’re getting what you pay for, it’s essentially a fancy version of the $40 Walmart pop up canopys. That being said if you make sure the legs are weighed down you will have no problem. I took the recommendations of other reviews and bought four large planters to place the legs in, I also bought my own 25lb water weights for the legs (I didn’t use the ones that came with the canopy) inside each planter I did a 50lb bag of sand and the water weights. I also did a layer of black river rocks but that was more for aesthetics than extra weight. We’ve had no problems so far we live in Texas close to the ocean so it gets really windy.
The only thing I can say is if it rains, the inside does get wet, not enough to make us go inside when it is, but enough to be slightly annoying.
Good size and seems sturdy, may last a few summers
I’m so happy with rhis gazebo, it was quite windy yesterday, but it was sturdy.
It’s quick and easy to put up. I did need someone to help but it was up within 20 minutes.
This is a great gazebo, it is the 1st time we put together so its ready for the summer and not trying to do it when its to hot. It is a little fiddley the instructions could explain better but 2 woman one age 70 another 45 managed to do it. I will be changing the rope for the curtains to go on as not tight enough. Will use one long piece instead of the 4 and may also change the sand bag weights so looks tidier. Apart from that it’s great feels sturdy an we love it. Also Seems easy enough to put away also which we will do tomorrow due to weather change.
This is the Best Buy ever when it said pop up I was expecting thin structure but this is thick and heavy and good quilts for the price I’ve had one like this before and it cost a whole lot more you won’t be disappointed
I love the size, the colour, the fabric.
It replaced an older gazebo we had and is much nicer.
I read mixed reviews, but so far – we’re happy with it!
It looks amazing. Love the colour (grey) and the value for money. It is not difficult to set up but need two people. Good quality. The most I like netting it gives great look. Satisfied with Gazebo )
beautiful gazebo, definitely worth the money, bit for our wedding day, so our garden was looking amazing, very good quality, good size, very quick delivery. very satisfied. easy to assembled and de assemble, so summer is coming its will be back in garden soon, sorry a nice cosy night even when it’s raining.
Although it’s big, it’s super easy to assemble and even easier to take down. Instructions are clear
and it took me and the girlfriend about 10 minutes the first time and that because we were just figuring it out. The quality seems really good, very sturdy and the material feels like it’s very well made and resistant. It’s taller than I thought as well so you don’t bump your head going in. Overall the value for money is really good and I’m pleased with purchase. It also comes in a bag with a zipper for easy storage.
Nice green colour. relatively easy to put up with 2 people,
Comes with sandbags so dont need to buy extra
Has so far withstood wind and snow and rain in a relatively sheltered position
Quite airy. Without sides not al all claustrophobic. Good Buy
The only let down is the instructions are not that clear, once you get around that part it easy enough to assemble and put away also. Very sturdy and comes with good strength ties. Also the hooks are metal and not plastic like other makes.
Good size Gazebo with Netting, quality is nice. Easy to assemble and feel sturdiness.
Bought to replace my old one and it’s really lovely one. Nice quality of material and very stable base. Came in a good packed box evrything was clear to understand. Looks like will be not issue with any wind as it’s stays very strong. Lovely design and colour. Recommend
Brilliant item, i actually used it in winter as I needed it for my party, I put some heating lamps inside and it was perfect. It is sturdy, good size, it wasn’t raining but it looks like it’s waterproof, need two people for assembly but it didn’t take us long. Comparing to the previous gazebo’s we owned this seems to be the best in this price range.
From the beginning I thought it would be something of poor quality, but I received a very good thing, the quality of the material is very good, easy to install, everything is according to the size indicated by the seller, we are very satisfied with this purchase. Now children have a place to play regardless of the time outside. I recommend to others to have a pleasant place in the garden, for fun and friends
Very satisfied with the order. Strong and stable frame, nice colour. Excellent addition to my garden, can’t wait to use it this summer.
Delivery was very fast, well packed as well.
Frame is strong and stable. Very pleased with this purchase. Definitely worth the money.
Beautiful gazebo easy to put up and take down. Comes with sand bags which make it very secure in wind but I would always take it down when weather gets too blustery. Definitely recommend.
Like the different heights makes it easier to adjust to uneven ground
Easy to assemble – little heavy if you were to take on a picnic but gives it the needed sturdiness
This canopy is really nice! Directions aren’t very detailed with how to place the netting, etc. Overall a great product. DEFINITELY water proof.
Update Dec. 30 2021. Here it is in less than one year of ownership and the canopy has been up around the clock except for one week in September due to threat of hurricane. When I put it back up I changed out the tarp that I had on top to a thicker one which happens to be white; it’s very nice. Anyhow, today I noticed that the canopy looks like it is threatening a tear in one corner (see photo). It’s been a warm end of the year and we have no threat of snow or heavy ice so I have left the canopy up.
——-
I put it up by myself on a day with 15mph wind gusts. It wasn’t too difficult but not super easy either. I put the mesh to the outside of the legs. Installing the mesh was time consuming. The mesh is hung from string that run through the loops and tied to the frame at the corners brush up or learn some knot tying! I was confused by the instructions as to which string is used for what, but I believe their “L” designation stands for “length”. Still it’s not easy to identify which string is longer than the other. I used real anchor stakes from the local hardware store and paracord for the main tie-down since I am leaving it up for months. The string that came with the canopy has degraded after four months of being in the elements; its outer sheath just crumbles off. I was concerned about the strength of the legs so I strapped steel angles to them for reinforcement. One day a storm blew through with 40mph wind gusts and the canopy held it was brief, lasting less than an hour. I have a thin 12×12 tarp on the roof to give it some protection. The tarp is independently tied to the stakes that came with the canopy so that lifting forces on the tarp will not transfer to the canopy. The tarp does not fully cover the roof so that rain water won’t pool on it and will still drain through provided drain holes in the roof.
Great product, easy to assemble, however the instructions could have done with more detail. It’s been windy for the last few days and it hasn’t blown over!! Would definitely recommend
From the picture it appears there are privacy curtains as well as screen. There aren’t. It’s material to make the legs and tied back screens look nice – and it does! Look nice that is. Love the color and how sturdy it is. Not easy to put up – so get something else if you want a portable screen room. Way too much for camping, etc. Though perfect for a semipermanent screen room. The vent holes do let water in when it rains, but is nice to take care of drainage off top and prevent mildew. Not nice if you want to keep things dry and not have to carry inside with every summer shower. Had to use shower curtain rings for screen to allow it to be opened and closed easily though I think it’s what makes the screens a little long for the height of the canopy. Not good for keeping out bugs as screens do not go all the way to the top, but vent in top is amazing for keeping heat from building up underneath. I’m really happy with it overall. LOVE the blue!
***UPDATE***
After finding a way to contact the seller, they did make it right by sending us the missing hardware.
We did not notice until we set this up, that the hardware required to install the netting and secure the frame to the ground, was missing. It seems there is no way to contact the seller. We ended up spending quite a bit just to purchase things we think might work to rig it together. In addition, one of the corners of the frame snapped at the connector when attempting to raise it up with the cover. Rather than go thru the trouble to send it back, we’re just going to try to make it work, which will likely now include using a bungee cord to secure that corner, as a mild wind has already popped it straight up into the air on one occasion. Overall, I’m disappointed. The instructions are quite ridiculous and not very straightforward, for someone who’s never put one of these up, before.
The Velcro straps on one of the corners are made of the same material so are not stickable.
We’re using the 13×13 gazebo canopy on our porch until we’re ready to something more permanent. It’s a perfect fit, with ample inside space for a couch, two chairs, and several tables. The height allows a 6-foot adult to walk inside without ducking. The frame appears relatively robust and secure. It came with four weight bags for the legs (as several reviewers recommend, we’re using water bottles/jugs rather than sand), and I’ve also tied the legs to the porch with bungee cords. No movement seen with 10-15 mile wind gusts. I plan on lowering the canopy as far down as possible during higher winds. While not waterproof, the fabric seems fairly rain-resistant. We’ve sat under it during gentle, steady rain but had to move inside during one major downpour with wind-driven rain.
Altogether, with the caveat of just two weeks of experience with the canopy, I’m satisfied with the purchase. Similar canopies I’ve looked at in the big box stores are going for much higher prices. At a little over a couple of hundred bucks, I figure if I can get two years or more from the canopy, I’ve got my money’s worth.
Now for the down side. While it may be possible for one person to set up the canopy, that person wasn’t me. I had to recruit my wife to help. One reason you need two people is that when you open the frame on a smooth surface, such as a porch, the frame tends to slide rather than opening unless someone/something is anchoring the other side.
The set-up instructions are terrible. Let me repeat, terrible. No words on the single sheet of paper that purports to be the instructions, just poorly rendered, cryptic graphics. Unlike with many things on the Web, I couldn’t find one video explaining set-up. There is *one* video on YouTube specific to the 13×13 ABCCANOPY but it’s almost like a parody of an instructional video. After telling you how easy set-up is, the YouTuber fast-forwards through most of his set-up, with no explanation of what he’s doing or how he’s doing it.
So, anyway. Tips: Avoid frustration and get a second person to help. When opening the frame, you want the rods at each side to be pointing up at at an approximate 60-70 degree angle, which should mean the frame is at full extension. It’s easier at this point if one person goes inside the frame and attaches the small canopy roof. On the inside frame arms you’ll find what appear to be small levers that can be opened to around 20 degrees. These are there to help secure the small canopy roof. You’ll find pockets at each end of the small roof. The “levers” go into those pockets. The large canopy roof is similarly secured; its pockets fitting into the large rods at each side of the frame. Once that’s done, the “inside person” can unlock the tentpole button and push the roof frame up until it locks with an audible click. Again, this is easier with a second person holding the outside frame. Now all you to do is open the legs to get the frame to full height. You’ll see a hole in each leg. Unlock the leg and pull the leg up until you “click” into the hole. If the leg is still sliding freely without unlocking it, you haven’t hit (or missed) the hole. That should be it. Hope these details help. Enjoy your canopy!
Easy to assemble, just a great product, need to buy the sandbags weights though
Impressively quick to get up, straightforward instructions, no fiddly bits.
All went well putting it up until I chose to use the sand bags supplied to anchor it down and one split when loaded with sand.
So far after one week of light winds it has worked well.
I am trying to return this item which was scheduled for the next day but 3 days later and no one has been to collec
It’s easy to list the features that just make sense:
1. Fairly easy to set up by myself. Two people, extremely easy.
2. Strong frame.
3. Even without instructions with words or just pictures, the setup is common sense and easy to achieve.
4. Many applications can be fulfilled with this simple gazebo/canopy.
5. All materials neatly folded, well packed, and secured for shipping.
6. Exceptionally fast shipping.
7. There is much more
The items I found to be open to questions while installing:
1. Directions are more pictures than instructions. Some will find it difficult. Hanging the netting, tips and suggestions require equal efforts (in production), as illustrations do.
2. No wheels on the “carry bag”. Most 10’x10′ and bigger come with wheels to help transport the gazebo/canopy. On the much heavier configuration 13’x13′, wheels on the bag are not included. Even the shipping box says 2-man lift. If you are around my age (63) and don’t consider yourself fit, get some help. It is heavy and much harder to set up for some people.
3. Mosquito netting feels paper-thin, easily tears and instructions are non-existent except drawings. It’s not so difficult to figure out, but for the price, I hoped for more.
4. The included netting “rope” is very thin, more like a shoelace in size. Instead of long and sturdy rope or stronger materials, the manufacturer cut costs with the included “rope”. Trust me, there is a much better way to hang the netting in an efficient way.
I did my own lifting and setup, a hand-truck solves that. I found whatever cut corners or cut costs of materials included could easily be replaced by better materials for an inexpensive overall upgrade. You will too.
Enjoy your new ABCCanopy Pop-up Gazebo.
We are very happy with our decision to purchase this tent. It was easy to put up even though the instructions are just pictures.
Our install: The corners are in flower pots filled with large rocks we purchased at our local home building supply store. We bolted the legs to the bottom of the pots using the hole in the bottom of the leg where the stake would go. Then we filled the sand bags (that came with the tent) with sand, attached them with the Velcro provided. We filled the bottom of the pot with small gravel rock then filled the top half with large decorative rocks. The two legs by the garden area in the picture are also staked with the provided rope. We didn’t have a place to stake the side closest to the camper.
We have 15-20 mph winds daily. Last night we had a storm system come through with 30 mph wind and gusts in excess of 40 mph. The frame and tent performed extremely well. Everything stayed tied and in place with no damage at all! The video was taken during the daily wind gusts. The last picture was taken this morning after the storm.
Overall a great product at a great price.
The only thing I would change is to make the screens a bit wider. They won’t all zip and fit to close around the flower pots we are using to secure the tent. (The would close if we only used the sandbags, but I’m not certain the sandbags alone would have held the tent in the storm.) I plan to order extras screens to allow for the extra room needed.
Really pleased with new gazebo.
We just move to another house and really needed. It is easy to put up (needs 2 people) and takes about 10 mins. Feels sturdy and good quality. Fits over our patio table so will be useful in these weird times for meeting friends and family. Worth the money.
Put all stars but have not set it up yet hope it’s grea
great and sturdy, very quick to put up and dow
Arrived promptly and is really substantial and withstands rain wind and snow. It is a lovely outdoor space and an excellent quality product great value for money.
I would definitely recommend this gazebo it was easy to put up with one person and took no time at all but putting it down needed two people but again it was really quick. It looks really nice and easily say 6 people around a large table. Delivery was brilliant and it comes in a bag that it fits perfectly back in to. I would highly recommend this produc
Ordered a white Gazebo and a blue one arrived , we needed to the gazebo quickly for Christmas so didn’t have time to return. Due to the high winds we had to quickly dismantle on Christmas night to ensure it was not damaged.
Instructions could be better but the actual gazebo does seem to be made well. Hopefully we can order sides for it to use rather than the mosquito net .
Easy to put up – one person can do it after the first try for sure. High quality. Comes with 4 bags you attach to the legs and fill with sand or stones to keep it stable.
Arrived earlier than scheduled. Meticulously wrapped and packaged in a surprisingly compact holdall, not dissimilar to a large sports bag for cricket kit. Extremely well constructed, from the metal frame to the fabric. With two people, it was fairly easy to set up. Once in place, it’s very sturdy and resilient, even withstanding 40mph winds. We kept ours secure with the weighted bags (supplied) and our own bungee cords. No complaints. Highly recommended.
Very easy to setup, looks great, performs well in fine weather. A combination of wind and rain left us soaked underneath, we thought it might offer slightly more protection. To combat this we bought some extra tarpaulin and hung in around the sides to block us in.
This is a very good Pagoda for the price we have used it quite a lot and it is robust easy to put up and down and good quality
Very happy with my purchase.
Amazing quality for the price.
Even sceptical Husband was impressed.
A great addition to the garden and something that will enable us to have the occasional friend around for a small socially distanced gathering in accordance with the prevailing rules.
We have had a couple canopy’s; we purchased this one as our number two. We lost one this summer already due to a thunderstorm, so you have to be careful to tie it down or collapse it which is super easy. Our other canopy is for us to take to the beach and soccer, we bought this one as our “elegant” one and put it in our backyard. We live in Arizona and have an outdoor lifestyle and can still swim in the pool till Halloween.
This is a beautiful canopy at 13 x 13 feet gazebo tent. I call it that it has mosquito netting how terrific is that?
I said October is our favorite month, but we do get quite a few mosquitos, so this works perfect we set it up for the first time last weekend. It is very easy to set up they call it a pop up, certainly easier with two people but you can do it by yourself specially if you have done this before.
It is fairly lightweight and of course comes with a carry bag so you can take it anywhere, the difference with this canopy is its elegance, the way the top is shaped, the way the material goes around the legs heck you can get married under this thing.
Has all four sides with mesh using zippers and has a vent at the top keeping you cooler. Again, use the tools provided to keep it secure or collapse it when done don’t want this one to be picked up in a thunderstorm it is to nice and we picked the color royal blue. I have had a few of these over the years and this one is very well constructed you will not be disappointed.
Pros:
Fairly easy to set up and can be done by 2 people.
Looks nice,
Seems sturdy and came with tie-downs and sandbags.
Decent value for the money
Cons:
Not as big as advertised – really more 12×12
Initial directions are more confusing than helpful and should be reworked.
Grommet holes in canopy need flaps covering them, otherwise fain water comes thru soaking the furniture. I made flaps using plastic sheeting and gorilla tape, which seem to have fixed the problem for the moment.
While the poles are steel, most of the joints are plastic. Not sure how long it will last.
Sandbags don’t hold water. They leaked. have to use sand or rocks which is less convenient and messier.
Was dry the first few rains, but leaking now. Also, top vent cover should have been a couple of inches bigger all the way around as water gets in if there’s a breeze.
Good overall, sturdy and nicely built quality for the price. Definitely took a few to open it up and get it set up for the first time. Directions on paper are useless. We purchased sandbags additionally but found it came with them. Stood well with the rain so far but mosquito netting not as effective.
