I am not singling this brand out; I suspect that all of these LCD screen night and day vision binoculars are similar, but I cannot understand why they are allowed to portray them as something they are not, Compare the photos I took against the seller’s. The image does not actually appear on the outermost “screen” which appears to be little more than a window, but inside the device a few inches distant from it.
Having said that, I am very pleased with both the daytime mode and the nighttime performance of these BNISE Digital Night Vision Binoculars. I bought them to replace a monocular night vision scope I have had for a few years and these blew me away with their superior performance and ease of viewing.
The picture (although smaller than depicted) is clear, with colour in the day and greyscales in the dark. Even without the infrared beam switched on, with just a little ambient light, I can see details clearly in my garden and the adjoining fields. With the infra red beam on, there are 3 levels and level 3 does illuminate probably as far as 400 meters distant as the description states.
Another great thing is that these can be powered either by 8 x AA batteries which fit neatly into the device or by a power bank via the micro USB port. The infrared then has 5 levels of intensity! I have only recently started using it, but in battery powered mode, even using the infra red light, I am very impressed by the longevity of the batteries, having spent several evenings observing nature and the battery level indicator has barely decreased.
The binoculars themselves feel quite solid and sturdy and the controls are easy to use. The settings menus are not very intuitive and take some getting used to, and the manual not very helpful in this respect but after the initial play around and exploring, the settings should need to be rarely used, and anyway, after unboxing and inserting the batteries in place, they can be used without actually having to alter any settings.
All-in-all I would recommend these electronic binoculars to anyone interested in nature or surveillance or simply to enjoy the hidden secrets of the dark night.
I deducted one star due to the seller showing the less than realistic pictures which unfortunately sems to be all too common these days.
