Remote control of temp thermostat and timer using the small remote unit is great. Needs space around the heater as it radiates sideways as well as up. Advises that the unit should be plugged directly into a wall not with an extension – flex is just about long enough for location of my sockets. Another half a metre of cable would be an improvement.
Only had this product a couple days. My flat gets cold in the winter and stuffy in the summer. Absolutely love this so far. Went from 10 degrees to 18 within 20 mins of use. I’ve used it conjunction with a dehumidifier to dry clothes and works twice as fast with the dehumidifier alone. Not sure yet on the energy efficiency just yet, will update when I can. Really recommend
Bought this after seeing a relative use one. It warms the room quickly and maintains the heat well. Having two heat settings makes it great for either warming up a room from cold, or maintaining a steady temperature using the lower setting. It comes with a very useful remote control. Recommended
When the heater arrived it had a small dent to the plastic on the top, but hardly noticeable.
Works great, light, manoeuvrable, easy to store. Heats up very quick. Easy control with a remote.
I’ve got some oil filled radiators and they are not a patch on this..we’ll worth getting if you need one in the cold coming months.suitable for an average size room. Better than heating a whole house!
I would definitely recommend.
I’ve had heaters before that use ceramic elements, so I know that are efficient. The Duronic, though, is something else. From turning on in an average size room, to having a noticeable increase in temperature, takes just a few minutes.
Although quite large in size, the heater actually weighs surprisingly little, which makes it very mobile. The timer function is useful enough, although it’s only a timer in the sense that you set it to turn off after a set period. You can’t actually set on/off times.
If I had one minor gripe, it’s that the controls aren’t particularly intuitive, but it is a very minor issue. Overall, this is a great heater and well worth every penny if you need a room heating quickly and efficiently.
This is a great heater and helps when there is only one room in use, especially with the price of gas. It warms the room up quickly and the quality of the build is incredible.
Surprised how effective this little heater is, more than I planned to spend but well worth it.
Smart way to help radiators heat up the house this winte
Lightweight and portable but puts out an incredible amount of heat. The best thing about this radiator is how quickly it gets hot, turn it on and it reaches full power in less than a minute so whereas my old oil filled took ages to warm up this thing is pumping out heat the whole time.
Has three heat settings and only need setting 1 normally but used the highest on particularly cold evening and it kept the whole room very toasty.
This heater is best purchase I could make.
I use it to warm up my 40sq m studio flat.
I warms up flat within one hour.
Remote control is useful if you don’t want to move out from bed.
Great stuff and nice design.
I love this heater. We have a large living room and the whole room is so warm. My only problem is I can’t find out its running costs. Very happy with it though.
Bought this for 91 year old aunt. It is safe and the remote is great with her limited mobility. Keeps the room nice and toasty.
I have bought 3 of these and strangely enough the least used and last purchased of the 3 has gone faulty.. As it was still in warranty, i contacted the company and was told to return it but i would have to cover the cost. I was not happy about this and became less happy when trying to send it back only to discover that most carriers will not carry domestic appliances. Something i am sure they knew.
Apart from that the heaters work well.
Great heater, warms a room quickly, with thermostat control.Ensure it is plugged into a solitary plug socket and not extension or plug will get warm. Plug lead could have been longe
Comparatively light, remote control makes life so much easier, belts out the heat within seconds, and power consumption is relatively low as well. … All round, a very good buy, especially with gas prices about to go through the roof.
This is an excellent, light but robust heater which is very controllable and easy to store. I didn’t go for the version with the remote co trial as that seemed a bit over the top. It is very easy to pop the legs/wheels on and then the rest is just a matter of plugging in. I would get another if needed.
Arrived slightly damaged and in a previously opened box. I was offered a measly 5% discount, which I reluctantly accepted as I wanted to use the heater without delay. Only 2 stars for the timer as it only works to switch the unit off. It would be better if programmable to switch on at a given time.
Left it till now to review so that I had the winter to try it out. Got this with a little trepidation as it cheaper than similar ones. Had it on all winter in the conservatory and I have to say it’s brilliant. It goes up quite quickly to the required temp and we have sat cosily in here. Have already recommended to family and friends.
Heats my sitting room when it’s chilly and I don’t want to light a fire, which has a high ceiling, very effectively. It switches itself off as required when the surrounding temperature is reached, doesn’t seem to cost a lot to run. The panels click a bit as they heat, which isn’t a problem and my dog lies beside it when it is on and she wants to be cosy.
Good heater but electronic switch so can’t use on time
I bought this for my mum who is 70. She has two storage heaters in her flat which need replacing and the Duronic Heaters are an interim measure. She says they are super effective, easy to manoeuvre and look good too. Hopefully we’ll replace the storage heaters with eco panel ones later in the year. If you’re quibbling about the price, it really is worth the investment to pay a little more.
Bought this heater based on internet recommendations to replace a mistake purchase that just wasn’t up to the task in heating a 4×4 part insulated conservatory.
Since I want to use the room all year round it became uncomfortable particularly during a spell of Baltic weather here in the North East.
The HV 220 was sold out but got this unit HV102 the next day. Have been very impressed. Lightweight. Easy to set up. It delivers a lovely waft of warm air and maintains it to a cosy level, even at the lower setting. And heats the room within a few moments so you don’t have to wait until the room is ready to use.
I was wary of the 90 price, but it has been worth it and I wish I had acted sooner !
Does a great job of warming up a previously cold corner of our artic bedroom. Strong enough to warm the whole room too in reasonable time and on the lower of its heat settings. Not particularly attractive but, then, it’s a radiator! Recommended, it does what you need effectively.
One minor quibble. The enclosed instructions tell you to keep the box in case you need to return it. The box is huge, even folded up and thus this is an unworkable requirement.
Hard to get excited about a heater – this one certainly works well, is easy to set a ‘target temperature’ for a room and seems solidly made for the price. The heater did smell a bit on first use but that soon went. It’s good enough that I’m thinking of buying another.
A very effective heater. I would recommend getting a timer for it. I use in conjunction with an Alexa smart switch so I can turn it on remotely. I get it to come on at least an hour before I need the room and it is simply tropical by the time I get in my office.
The remote is a great feature. I love not having to get up in the morning to warm up my room.
The heater is outstanding. Warms the room up extremely quickly and being able to set the temperature on the thermostat is ideal. Be careful when you purchase as the remote is tucked away in the polystyrene inside the box and it can be easily overlooked. At first I thought it hadn’t come with a remote. It could just be me being an idiot though. Havent owned it long enough to know whst its like cost wise vs my old oil heater but I set it to 18c and it only comes on when it drops a degree or so below this which seems ideal is you dont have to run it all the time and the room is always temperate.
5/5. Also shipped and arrived 2 days before listed to. Really happy.
An excellent heater, far better than any heater I’ve owned. When you turn it on, instant heat, no waiting for it to warm up.
And it heats up a decent sized room very quickly.
In a few other reviews, it has been mentioned that the plug gets VERY hot in use.
It does.
To combat this, don’t have this heater on the highest setting for more than 30 minutes, and you’ll be ok.
I made the mistake of plugging this into an extension cord (against the advice of some of the other reviews) and this heater stopped working momentarily for around 10 minutes.
So left it, then turned it back on, and it’s now working.
My only major critisms are:
1) The power cord is way too short.
2) The display panel is on the same side as the power cord, so depending on where your sockets are located, there’s a good chance you won’t be able to see the display from where you are sitting.
These minor gripes aside, a very good buy, at a reasonable price.
Bought one of these to heat a garden office, initially it was to be a temporary solution with the intention of fitting infrared panels but the Duronic HV102 has performed superbly well.
The Micathermic panels work very quickly and yet are pretty cool to the touch. Switching the unit one gives two power output settings 1.5kW and 2.5kW. I’d recommend choosing 2.5kW in areas to be heated that have decent amounts of insulation. My garden office has 10cm insulation all round and I’m amazed at the power cycle time once up to temperature. As is fairly standard the thermostat gets to temperature then switches off before dropping 2 degrees c and turning back on. During a recent quick test the 2 degree heating took 7 mins and then took 42 mins to drop back down and switch on again. Some clever mathematician will have worked out power consumption and cost based on this but it seems pretty darned impressive to me particularly as it was 3 degrees outside and I was basking at 18 degrees inside.
Another reviewer said that they’d be concerned about standing anything next to this heater, personally I’d be careful about putting anything close by to ANY heater but I would say that if anything I’m way less concerned by this micathermic heater than almost any other heat source since it feels so cool and heats objects in the distance.
As another safety measure it has a tip over cutoff and I believe turns itself off after 12 hours of continuous use by which I believe it means it hasn’t reached its temperature setting.
I currently have the heater permanently ticking over keeping the garden office from freezing whilst not in use and it has maintained 10 degrees c for the last couple of weeks with no issues.
A couple of quibbles; the power cord could have been longer, ideally you want this in the middle of the room for heating space, I’m unable to do this with the cord length provided, also the display would’ve been better on the other end as it’s facing the wall. It comes in two models, with or without a remote, I bought it with but due to the display positioning never use it as you can’t actually see what you’re setting without going round the other side of the heater to see.
Overall though this is a fantastic heater mainly for heating up well insulated areas, I’m a bit baffled by people using them in conservatories as you’ll be heating the glass and frame and the outside world will be taking it straight away.
For the right requirements this is ideal and very economical.
Light weight fast heat up 41 pence per hour on high 2.5kwh 24 pence per hour on low 1.5kwh checked on smart mete
Very good heater warms up quickly and very light weight however a totally useless timer you set the timer to come on for a certain amount of time WHY if you’re there you’re perfectly able to turn it off yourself surely you want to be able to set it to come on at a certain time ie an hour or so before you come home so you’re room is warm but you can’t do that with this heater even if you plug it in through a plug in timer as you need to press a button on when connected to the mains.
Fantastic heater, did a lot of looking around before settling on this one, the heat output is fantastic for my kitchen and conservatory, I have 2 vertical radiators in there and the mobile heater throws out do much more heat. It’s very easy to use and store when not needed and I would definitely buy another. Delivery was super quick, ordered on a Tuesday and delivered on Wednesday .
Product used in an area of the house other heating can’t reach. The heater is simple and fit for purpose producing regulated heat at a level required on an average setting. Item as described and very promptly delivered even to the north of Scotland ! I can recommend this product at this stage. Too early to give an opinion on durability .
I bought this heater December 2018 and it’s been working well ever since! It’s easy to move (quite lightweight) and the heat output is superb. I mainly use it for when I’ve been away as my flat has night storage heaters and so use the Duronic heater for instant heat when I reurn home. 2 settings for heat is handy too. 10 out of 10 product! (I’m only just reviweing it now to make sure it worked well).
Great product. Warms up the room well or if left in the hallway takes the chill off all the rooms. Downside is that it advised not to leave close to something which would make sense but means it’s in middle of room.
I have abig living room with large windows and the heating heats the room quickly (2500watts). I did not receive the electricty bill yet but this product is a good investment.
Probably saved my life this winter. I was worried that it was too small and wouldn’t heat properly, luckily I was wrong. This heater is great, I would turn it on for an hour and it would heat up my freezing room in 2 min! It makes no noise , easy to move around and doesn’t use too much power!
There was a smell coming from the heater the first few days, the one of being in a storage for some time. Just give it a few days and it clears up on it’s own !
Love this heater, ive used oil heaters before and I hate having to pick a heat number and not having a clue what temp it is as its either too hot or cold. With this I set the temp, it gets my room toasty and then switches off. Before the temp drops too low it switches itself on and maintains the heat love it. Also with the remote when I wake up I stay in bed and heat the room before getting out of bed. I paid abit more than I did for my last oil heater but when shopping on amazon this time there wasnt a oil heater with these features for the same price. They all had numbers not a temp display for the heat settings so I went with this oil free heater and its WAY better than any oil heater ive ever owned. Faster to heat the room and it seems to heat larger spaces due to the way it works. Id defo tell my friends and family to buy a Duronic heater that meets there needs company is friendly and product is quality.
I got this at the beginning of Nov and for the past 5 ish months it’s been brilliant in my lounge as my main heat source.
Came home yesterday and front panel was dead.. Contacted Seller via Amazon and I had an email with details to return the faulty and courier was set for today.. Maybe receive sat or Mon.
I got it before Noon… Brilliant service, thank you so much!
As my title says, this is a SUPERB Heater.
Amazon delivered my heater 24 hours after ordering it!! Amazing! Thank you MUST go to Amazon for the superfast delivery.
I unpacked the heater, slid the footrest and wheels onto the heater base in one minute, put the batteries in the Remote Control and hey presto!, it was ready for use.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Remote Control is tucked into a slot in one of the white polystyrene packing blocks – so don’t throw the packing away until you’ve recovered the Remote Control Device!!
I tried it out in my quite large kitchen. Switched it on using the remote and the temperature displayed is the current room temperature. Mine read 22. I used the remote and upped the temperature to the full setting to see how quick the heater would make the kitchen HOT – hotter than I wanted. In half an hour, the temp reading was 25 and in an hour it was 28 – very impressive!!
I’ve got to sort out of loads of stuff in my COLD Garage, so my first use of this beauty will be in there – to keep me warm and encourage me to do this dreaded job. Thereafter, I will use this heater ANYWHERE I need some nice heat.
This heater is sooooo lightweight, it is a doddle to move it around to any room…..I’ll have no trouble carrying it upstairs. I just cannot believe a device this light gives out so much heat!! My friend’s oil filled heater weighs a ton. Care will need to be taken not to dent or damage the “mesh” sides of the heater though, as they’re substantial, but not that thick.
For me, this heater is to warm individual rooms, as needed. Yes, Central Heating is nice to give a background heat throughout your property, but you are paying a LOT of money on electric and gas costs to heat an ENTIRE house, while sitting in just ONE room!! Even in the summer in the UK, you can get “chilly” evenings. I’ve got a beautiful electric log burner stove in my main sitting room, to just pop-on when needed. I have bought this Duronic heater to use ANYWHERE I need instant heat (chilly bedroom?). Would be GREAT for a cold Conservatory, Garage, Workroom, Man Cave……well….ANY ROOM!!
ANY IMPROVEMENTS? YES:
– Longer Cable……it is REALLY short. It should not drape near to the heater.
– Power Cable should be located on the BACK of the heater, NOT the front!
– Cable holding brackets should obviously also be on the REAR panel, with Remote Holder Slot above.
– FOUR Wheels would be better, instead of Two, still providing the pulling handle though.
– SLOT on the back panel of the heater to house the Remote Control (it’s a very small Remote).
– Ability on Remote to “Programme” the Heater with THREE “On and Off” times.
– Heater should “remember” your last-used setting….it does not.
Take care!!……You can’t stand this fire against a wall……it needs its own standing space as it emits heat from both sides!!
A GREAT purchase. For this price you get a great, efficient, lightweight, stylish heater that you can use absolutely ANYWHERE. I’ll definitely buy another of these if I need more electric heaters.
Are you asleep yet? Lol.
Thank you so much Duronic AND Amazon. One of my VERY BEST purchases.
I own a shop in an old 1800s building with no gas central heating and old windows that let a lot of air through. The ceilings are 4 metres high and the rooms are very cold. After buying oil heaters which were useless I looked everywhere I could to see what options there were. This heater without doubt is the best by far. Room temperature with oil heater on full power for 3 hours – 14 degrees Celsius. Room temperature after 45 minutes with this heater 21 degrees Celsius. This heater has a temperature controlled thermostat and switches off when it hits your desired temperature and turns on again when it is 2 degrees below. Highly Recommended. On first use it gives off a smell so I would turn it on somewhere with plenty of ventilation for a couple of hours and then move it to where you need it. Brilliant!!!
This is a very light, easy to manoeuvre, effective heater. It heats up quickly and required temperature is controlled easily.
Two very minor points (and I know some have been commented on in previous reviews) but this heater would benefit from having a longer cable and it would be a huge bonus if the heater was programmable. It does have a timer which is useful. Unlike oil filled heaters, the panels cool quickly but, for me, the manoeuvrability and no risk leakage outweighs that. Over all I’m pleased with the purchase and the delivery time was brilliant!
I bought an oil free radiator as I wanted to be able to heat a room quickly. 2.5Kw does this nicely.
The heater is silent and the remote control is a really handy extra to have. The radiator is fairly light for manoeuvrability and very easy to set up.
Unfortunately the first one I bought was faulty. This is bound to happen in a product from time to time. I suffer with chronic anxiety and usually get myself in such a state preparing for a fight with the customer service department. Not on this occasion though.
Amy was so so helpful. I reported the faulty heater one evening and the very next morning there was a brand new heater on its way to me. I was asked to use the box that the new one came in to return the faulty product which was done using UPS.
I cannot praise Duronic enough. I will certainly be purchasing off them again. The heater is very sleek and aesthetically appealing.
My advice to anybody reading this is give them a try, you won’t regret it.
This heater is amazing. Bought two for the house to get us through the winter and they really do kick out some heat.
You can leave it on at night set at a temp and it will maintain that so no need to mess about turning it on and off multiple times. You get a remote with it as well so you can adjust everything from your bed or sofa.
I have to admit it was on the pricey side but the age old saying you get what you pay for says it all.
After hours and hours of research on the internet I decided to try a Mica heater as these not only warm the air but also warm objects and people so therefore are something in between a radiant halogen heater and fan heater or oil radiator. I bought this heater specifically for my conservatory which has no insulation or heating source and is freezing and cold and damp all the time. I chose the 2.5 kW model with the remote and it is absolutely amazing I cannot recommend it enough. The heater gets hot within seconds and it can bring the temperature from 8 degrees up to 20 degrees in about 10 to 15 minutes. When you switch it on the digital display shows the current room temperature and obviously increases as the room temperature gets warmer. I previously used a calor gas heater which is efficient but not safe to leave on when unattended. Also gas heater takes up a lot of space in my small conservatory. The Mica heater does not take up half as much space as the gas heater did also it gets hot quickly but it keeps the room hot so once I get to 23 degrees I switch it from high to low and and it keeps it nice and toasty. I’ve had it on for 24-hours day for the last week without any issues and I have to say I’m extremely impressed. It also acts as a dehumidifier and there is no damp or condensation whatsoever in my conservatory it’s much drier and warmer than it’s ever been – Mica heaters are the way forward. You will not be disappointed
I needed a heat source to supplement the inadequate central heating in a large livingroom. I looked at lots of reviews and ended up with the Duronic. It has done everything it said it would do – providing plenty of heat quickly and efficiently, and so quietly it’s hardly possible to hear that it’s on. This has, however, led me on a couple of occasions to forget to turn it off. One minor flaw: the feet don’t stay on too well when the fire is moved – but since i don’t move the fire much this is of little concern.
Great radiator, but has a poor timer function, which hasn’t been a problem for me (hence my good overall score). Lightweight, particularly when compared to oil-filled radiators. Easy to manoeuvre, the handles both sides keep carying it comfortable even if the radiator is still hot. Heats quickly, and radiates heat sideways too to keep those legs toasty. The timer function is pretty useless, you can only set the number of hours it will stay on for (which works well for heated clothes dryers, but not for cold mornings!) There’s also a mild odour when in use, which hasn’t gone away, but it isn’t too bad either.
Only had the item 1 day. Easy to set up. Just attach the feet and plug in. Warms up very quickly. Can still handle and move when it’s on maxpower as not to too hot. Has a bit of a smell but only used for your or so. Hopefully this will go in a while. Otherwise would have given 5 stars
The heater throws out heat nearly immediately and effectively. Found it easy to put roller/feet on and to use, and I’m not usually good with that. There is a handy hand control to turn off and on, reduce and increase heat, so don’t have to do it manually if you don’t want to. Very light to move around, which is handy for me. The old oil heaters were so heavy and clunky. I love the stylish look of it with the black and mesh, as an interior designer, this is also important to me. The price was amazing and running costs are low. Am very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend to anyone. Delivery couldn’t be faster and handy to track the delivery van.
Good quality product and heat up in less than a minutes as advertised.
On delivery the box looked very big but once the radiator has been taken out it was as expected.
I’m used to oil filled and I was surprised how light this one is and even if I know it is oil less.
The eat is coming from the side but most of it will come from the top of the radiator.
Straight forward to put together and with no tolls needed and no really need to read the notice to understand how it works(although I recommend you to have a quick look at it).
If like me you want to use it with a smart plug then this is the one to use as the higher spec model will just switch on it’s front panel but not heat up.
This one will it’s old-school buttons will be preset and will give heat as soon as the plug commands it.
I recommend this item to anybody needed extra warm during the winter.
Nice heater, it was worth the money because the quality is obvious. I bought another heater at the same time which was cheaper but had loads of issues with it.
This one is quiet, it’s powerful and you can set the power at the required level (1000W, 2000W, 3000W) and it has been keeping a large room warm when we needed it for a few hours.
It’s quite, it doesn;t spark or click loudly and we trust it.
Turned up yesterday and I thought “Here we go twenty minutes of messing about with a screwdriver putting the feet on”. But when I pulled the feet out of the bag, they just slot on and it was plugged in and working within a couple of minutes. I am SO impressed, why can’t everything be designed like this? Great for the elderly and just useless people like me who don’t generally have a screwdriver stuck in their back pocket.
All I can say on the heat aspect was that my warehouse was definitely warmer with this in operation. Radiant heaters heaters work differently and you don’t have all of the heat sail up to the ceiling. I have three going in a big cold warehouse and when I stand on a table to access a high shelf, it is not hotter up there. Quite odd, but nice that there is no wasted heat up on the ceiling where no one is appreciating it. They are supposed to heat the person, not the room. Which is how the sun works…..apparently, I am not sure that I understand all of that but I have bought into it as my bills are not extortionate either.
Have purchased 3 of these heaters already. Heats a large space very quickly and with the added option of remote can turn off from comfort of your bed or sofa. Had 1 for over two years which is the same as HV02 the 2 HV01’s only lasted just over a year unfortunately. My advice would be to use when required and not to over use. They are not oil filled and heat via a plate within the product. Very efficient.
This is the second Duronic heater I have purchased. I love the original one, but this one is even better as it has the remote…perfect for lazybones like me! Now, I don’t have to leap out of bed from under my warm duvet, into a cold room to turn on the heater. It is a silent marvel that works quickly. I have never had any problems with the first one I bought, so I expect none with this one.
Just two suggestions for improvement.
1. The thermostat makes a loud clunking noise when it goes on and off. It is not hugely off-putting but, when the room is quiet and it happens, it can be startling.
2. It would be even better if they added a light on to the remote so you know it is ‘on’!
Seems very good. I use it to keep living room at an ok temp so i dont have to have central heating on all day.
You set the temp and the heater switches off when the area around it reaches that temp the switches back on when the temp drops 2 degrees below that set
The remote is a bit superfluous and expensive (hence the loss of a star) as it adds 7 to the price – 2 would be more appropriate for wht it is – I have ordered one without a remote to use in my officei
Superb heater – My boiler has just died and I needed something which could provide instant, quiet, powerful heat whilst the boiler was being replaced. The mica-technology is excellent and the design of this unit is modern and terrifically functional. The remote control is a very nifty feature to be able to adjust the heater without getting out of my seat. The greatest plus of this heater (for me) is that it is silent during operation and yet delivers a really effective heat. The temperature in my home area fell to below zero during the boiler outage, and this heater has been a great friend / saviour, keeping me warn and comfy. Quick, professional supply – Thanks Amazon and Duronic.
Purchased this to replace a busted storage heater to get me through winter. When you first get it, you will need to flip the on switch on the bottom of the side panel manually. Then press the digital on switch at the front and set your desired temperature. The ability to do this by remote is a god send on a Saturday/Sunday morning when it’s too cold to get out of bed.
One caveat I found the hard way, is that the heater does not store your selected temperature when powering off or there is a powercut. The power had gone off and when I turned the heater back on, it had defaulted back to 26C. I had used 8 of electric in half a day before I realised what was happening. Once the heater reaches the desired room temperature, it turns the heating off making it very economical. On a full days use, it averages about 2 a day to heat the room on my Economy 7 tarrif.
Overall, I’m quite happy with the purchase and at this price, it’s a bit of a steal.
I bought this heater instead of a more expensive oil filled one and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. The seller despatched it very fast which was a blessing. Like many other buyers I had to leave it on initially for 30 minutes with the windows open because of the slightly strong smell of the new parts. It cleared very quickly and now functions extremely well.
I have used the heater every day since it was delivered about a week ago and I cannot rate it highly enough. It quickly warms up a large room and then maintains it at a very comfortable level without burning off the oxygen in the room. What I particularly like is the fact that it is lightweight so it can be easily moved either to a different position or to a completely different room with just one hand. I also find that the colour makes it unobtrusive which is a definite plus.
I would not hesitate to recommend this heater to anyone looking to purchase an efficient heate that is excellent value in my opinio
Not used it yet – bought it for use in my small shop, ready for when it gets colder!! I am a bit concerned that I will not be able to put it quite near the counter as it will be very hot all round – but this is something we will have to bear in mind. For the past ten years I,have used an oil filled radiator which has a double casing and you could not burn yourself on it.
It looks good!
I love this heater! I’ve got storage heaters and find that in the spring, you don’t need them on all day, but need some heat at night. This heater comes on immediately, and very quickly warms the room. I tried to work out how much heat it was using, so put it on full, and went out to read my meter.. I watched for ages, and it didn’t move at all.. I thought I must have been watching the night rate, but it was the day rate.. I just got fed up waiting for something to happen, so assumed it doesn’t use much power and came back in. I’m so pleased with it I’ve ordered one for my flat in Spain. It is very very smelly for the first couple of times it’s used though.. That’s the only negative.
I had the delivery in approximately 24 hits after ordering despite the ETA being advertised as being much longer. I was kept infilled of the status and even the exact got slot by the courier all the time. So a big thumbs up to the seller and their courier. And extra brownie pounds for arranging a no questions asked delivery of the missing remote control – fast.
The product in itself is very light. I could lift it with one hand without much effort. It was able to heat up a medium sized conservatory on power save setting in approximately 25 minutes. And at full power setting in approximately 5-7 minutes. I see a almost no reason why I would need the latter, but it’s good to know it is powerful enough to do this. It is noiseless and easy to move around.
The unit is also sleek, good looking and easy to use. It has a safety feature that turns it off automatically after 18 hours. The LCD panel is clear and east to figure out with a quick scan of the manual.
The packaging is minimal but sufficient. All in all a good, cost effective predict to purchase. I have had it for a few weeks and have used it every single day since.
Needless to say, I highly recommend it.
A very good heater. The heat comes out from both sides, as well as the top. We had a very cold bedroom this Winter and putting this on for 20-30 minutes prior to getting ready for bed made it feel nice and toasty. The remote control is very handy. You can’t programme the heater to come on at certain times of the day but you can set the temperature you want and once it gets there it switches itself off until the temperature drops two degrees and then it turns itself on again until it reaches the set temperature again, and so on. It is very good and out of the various heaters we’ve bought it is the best one, by far. It was also very easy to set up – literally two minutes, no screws, just clicking the feet into place.
Wasn’t sure whether or not to go for this but so glad I did! The reviews are spot-on and this indeed is a great heater. The only con as such is that it cannot sit right against the wall so it has to sit approx. 0.9m off of wall in my living room. Also IMHO it isn’t the best looking! It does the job very well though and I’m very pleased with the product. The heater was delivered very quickly too! I wasn’t sure if I’d receive it before Christmas however, delivery was very quick and I was kept up to date on expected date and time of delivery. All in all a very positive shopping experience and I would highly recommend the product and the service provided by the seller.
This heater does what it’s supposed to: within 5 minutes (or 10 minutes for the 1 kW model/mode) it heats an averaged sized room from chilly to warm, even without a fan. It’s hot within seconds and utterly silent, no fans or creaks. It’s fairly sturdily built, although mine had a mis-moulded plastic foot that means it wobbled very annoyingly until I built it up with some black tape.
Let’s cut to the chase though: most people reading this will be trying to decide whether to get one of these, or an oil filled heater, and wondering which will save them more money. The answer is: it depends on how you’re going to be heating your home. Neither is more expensive than the other in keeping a room warm all day long.
If you want to keep a room warm all day long, then my advice is to go for an oil-filled instead: they’re a little safer and stay warm much longer. They use more electricty getting themselves warmed up, but after that much less. For example you can use off-peak energy to warm them up in the morning and they’ll stay warm without using much on-peak. They will also never smell of scorched dust if you haven’t had them on for a while. (For draughty areas, consider a radiative heater.)
If, on the other hand, you want to heat up the home quickly before you leave in the morning or when you just get back, then get one of these. They’ll use less electricity to get the place warm to begin with because they don’t have to warm up litres of oil, and won’t waste that heat you built up keeping the house warm when you’re not in. I got one of these because my electricity is expensive, and my house is empty for 10 hours at a time. An oil heater would result in wasted money in my case, but not everyone’s. And fan heaters drive me crazy with their noise.
In my case, I was really disappointed with the timer on this model, because I thought it was an all-day timer that I could set to warm the place 10 min before I got out of bed, and turn off before I went to work. Unfortunately it’s a COUNTDOWN TIMER, which will set it to turn OFF after a set time, not ON. Doubly unfortunately, I can’t even use a timer plug, since turning it on always defaults in standby mode, and you have to turn it on manually. Sigh. This is safe, but frankly not very useful. DO NOT BUY A TIMER PLUG TO USE WITH THIS, whatever Amazon offers you!
Still, the thermostat works pretty well, so I can set it and forget it when I’m at home, and it’ll only turn on when it needs to, only for short periods. It doesn’t dry the air, warms quickly, and cools very quickly. In that sense it’s very efficient.
Given the wobbly stand foot and its fairly useless timer I grudgingly have to take off a star, but it’s pretty good value for money and extremely efficient. Much faster than oil, but still not for everyone.
The heater does an excellent job, it heats up quickly, it can be put on the timer, set to an ideal temperature and set to low or high heat. It’s ideal for when you can’t light a fire or you are trying to be conservative with your main heating (oil or gas).
The sides of the radiator stay cool, our young child is in the crawling/trying to walk stage and at times they try to pull themselves up using this radiator, and while we don’t let them, they don’t get hurt between them starting the climb and us stopping them, no burns!
The main downside is that it seems expensive to run on the high heat. We have the top up electric box and this heater working at high heat for an hour costs approximately 50p. Obviously if you just need a room boosted up quick, that’s not too bad, and the cost goes down to about 35p per hour for the half heat, but I wouldn’t want to be using it as a rooms main heating source!
Very easy to use, works exactly as described and as you’d imagine. Running costs are equal to sustaining any small/medium sized space to a particular temperature of anything from 18 to 28 degrees.
Features
Display is in Celsius only. It’s very lightweight and has a pull / push handle as one end has two castors on – very easy to move. Timer function is setting how many hours you want it to run for – and useful if basic function. LED panel and overall looks are quite modern in my opinion. Heats the air directly to the large sides and directly above. Once desired temperature is reached the heater stops heating for a few minutes, then kicks back in to keep the temperature at around what you set it to. If on heat setting 1 it seems to keep it within 2 or 3 degrees, but setting 2 seems to keep it spot on or at least as warm as what you set it to.
My current premises has very, very little insulation. No double glazing, very old, I’m the only tenant etc. The heating is modern, new electric storage heaters. To keep barely warm, each room and the two hall storage heaters need to be on full input – costing 130 – 160 a month! When living by myself I have all off apart from the living room and bathroom storage heaters. I use this to top up when it’s really cold in the living room / guests and briefly in bedroom. Electric under-blanket heater too. Keeps the bills a lot lower, about half as much. (On economy7).
I’d recommend it – super fast to heat up. Whole room is toasty within 5 minutes, but you can feel the difference in seconds. Great as a top up heater or main heater for brief periods / vs multiple alternative heaters.
Remote facility is outstanding. Very quick heating & does not kill oxyzen in room as described in product catalog. No noise while in operation…only some clinch sound when switched on & off. Looks stylish as well.

Review after 6 years usage. Hope will be helpful for someone.
Very satisfied with this product and heard the same from my friends to whom i recommended. I live in 2 bed apartment and did not use any other room heaters in last 6 years other than Duronic Heater HV102. Did not check energy efficiency anytime but as its thermostat controlled it switches off automatically when it reaches the room temperature. Never received any high electricity bills so i think it may be reasonably good. I normally leave it at 25 deg temperature on LOW setting and it switches on and off by itself based on room temperature. Not sure why but observed that it melts/burns the socket where its plugged in on high setting so i use a 3 pin socket which u get in poundland (https://www.amazon.co.uk/block-plug-mains-adaptor-double/dp/B071L5HNW2/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=3+pin+plug+adaptor&pd_rd_r=c331fa28-995e-450c-aefd-57c2bb6dcd8a&pd_rd_w=pe6cq&pd_rd_wg=y2CPH&pf_rd_p=8bc484a8-3da7-4e1b-8787-477949a7bf04&pf_rd_r=SCS6XMGDRV36JGXNDZ41&qid=1570870326&sr=8-3) and never faced the issue again on LOW setting.
Pros:
====
Quick heating
No noise
Portable
Remote control
Reasonable price
Cons: (can be ignored as not big problems)
====
Power cable could be longer
If unused for few days/months it smells a bit for first time when switched back agai
Bought these 4 of them for my sons office and work shop, his place is inn an old building with no heating. They felt it was warmer out side than inn, this was affecting the machines him and his partner. They said that they generate heat right away and they did what it said on the tin, they had a visit from the person they rent from and he was amazed at the difference and makes it more comfortable to work in. The man wrote down the details from the heaters and a couple of days later they noticed a delivery of more heaters, he had bought some for himself. The reviews helped me pick these heaters and they are all true, these heaters are the best I have ever come across. The cost of running them is not cheap but remember I am talking about four, the area to heat is 2 large rooms and one narrow room and very cold. The heat has helped with the machines because parts kept breaking down, and they cost a lot of money so overall I think they were a brilliant buy.
I own both models of this heater. Both are 2.5KW on max. HV 102 has a remote control and the digital display but only 2 heat settings 1.5KW or 2.5KW. It heats up within seconds but i am not too keen with the thermostat which defaults at 25 degrees. As others have said, i dont find it to be accurate and i think is about 4 degrees out. Not really a problem as i set it to 22 degrees and let it do its stuff.
The HV 101 (non remote and all manual settings)again heats up within seconds and has 3 heat settings 1 kW, 1.5 kw and you guessed it, 2.5 kw setting. For some strange reason on mine switch 1 is 1.5 kw and switch 2 is 1 kw.
Both models are the same size with 5 mica panels inside the black mesh and are well made. Running cost wise, i prefer the HV101 on the lowest setting which gives out a nice bit of heat.
This is a great product backed up by outstanding customer service. I bought it for my mother [age 91] to use in her living room/bedroom whose primary heating source is a storage heater. She has a coal fire to back this up when the storage heater provides insufficient heat during cold winter nights. As she is no longer fit enough to keep her coal fire going, I bought this as an alternative. I thought my mother would be resistant to it [mainly because I omitted to discuss it with her first!] but she loves it. It responds instantly whenever the temperature drops 2 degrees below the chosen level and then cuts out promptly whenever that level is reached. It is very light, easy to move and cheap to run as long it supports a primary heating source. It operates silently [no noisy fan]. The best feature is the remote control which allows my mother to turn it off an hour before she goes to bed and turn it on in the morning if she feels a bit chilly.
I’m currently using this product in a 8ft by 20ft converted garden shed and it warms the room nicely within a few minutes without having to use the Higher wattage settings(note* I am currently using it in Autumn not winter) . As advertised its completely silent, light and well built. The only issues are that the timer function isn’t as i thought it would be. you can set how many hours you would like it to stay on for, but there doesnt seem to be a way to program it to turn on automatically in the morning without buying an external timer device. Another minor issue i have is that i use this heater in a stationary position, it would have been nice to have been provided two plastic legs instead of one and some wheels.
When looking into getting a portable heater I found there were far more choices than I had expected, wide variety of types of heaters all with their own pros and cons.
One of the key features that sold me on the HV102 was the integrated thermostat, I like the fact I can turn it on and not have to worry about it, it maintains the temperature I want and keeps running costs down.
I also like the fact it runs silent and it doesn’t produce light (other than a dim display) so it isn’t going to disturb you while it is running.
I would love to see a compact version using the same tech as this heats my room with ease. I almost went with a more traditional compact heater as size was a concern, but based on the features the Duronic just seemed to offer a lot of advantages that would make a difference in day to day use. After using it for a few months I can say I am very happy with the HV102 and consider it more than justifies the extra space it needs.
I bought this to heat up our conservatory as it is quite big but poorly insulated. We have just moved into the property and it already has a working radiator which I thought was a great idea however, it doesn’t seem to effect how cold it gets.
I bought this item on the strenght of the reviews and it’s reasonable price (my partner wanted a dyson heater but I wasn’t going to spend that much!). And I am pleased I did. It has a temp reading and you can set it to reach a specific temp. It took about 20 minutes on the low setting to heat the room from 12c to a fairly conformatable 17c. The idea is that the conservatory is our dining room so I only want the heater on for a short period while we eat in it. I am still experimenting with it and as yet have not tested the higher setting which I am sure will perform even better.
The remote is great as it means I can switch it on from the warmth of our kitchen through the window.
My only concern is the fact that you can’t plug it into a socket located above it as it eminates heat out the top. As we have just had a complete re-wire our sockets are high up which is a slight nuisance.
I exchanged this heater from a new oil-filled heater{nameless} which stopped working after only a few weeks, and I’m very pleased I did.I was a bit dubious about having a Duronic Convector Heater as I don’t know much about them. The two most important points of any heater,as far as I’m concerned, is how quick they heat up a room and can they be moved from one room to another without difficulty.Duronic Convector Heaters do just that with flying colours. No trouble at all…It all depends of course on the size of rooms you want heated but in my case I live in my ground-floor flat which I would describe as ‘average’ size rooms, especially the bedrooms and this heater suits my needs. What I like about it as well is it cuts off when the right temperature is reached in your room saving you a bit money on top. It’s black, sleek, lightweight and doesn’t take up much room, and the main thing it doesn’t cost that much to run hence saving you money by compensating every ones expensive central heating bills…Ten out of Ten Duronic!Excellent…Highly recommended…
John.
This heater really does all that it says it does, and I am very impressed with it. I use it mainly to heat the room before the central heating kicks in. This works well because the thermostat can be set and you can set the timer, there is no need to use it more than you intended. If electricity prices were lower in general, I think I would use the heater instead of the central heating, but in reality that isn’t possible. It sits quite neatly, but be aware you can see the insides. I actually like this but it’s not to everyone’s taste, and it cannot go against a wall as it gets too hot. that aside, I would definitely recommend this heater to all, and I do think it’s worth the extra to get the timer and thermostat, although for me the remote control is unnecessary.
To start with, in my part of the UK we had recently had just over 10 inches of snow, most of the roads were off limits and unusable, I ordered the fire on the 21st January approx 16,30 in the afternoon, thinking that in a week or two we would have an extra source of heat for any emergency events, as due to the weather and high winds we had already had the gas central heating pilot going off despite a recent annual service.
So after reading the reviews a order was placed for the heater. It arrived in the afternoon on the 23rd January.. amazing service under the current road conditions, and a very cheerful delivery man remarked “We don’t hang about you know , we aim to please.” what a excellent service.
Now the living room is 24 foot by 15ft , so not a little cosy room by any standards, but after getting up in the early hours the next morning , I thought I would turn the central heating boiler off and test the heater.
In less than 10 minutes it had brought the temp up from 19c to 23c in total silence ! I think that this is amazing for one heater.as I had already thought about a second one if it turned out to be as good as the reviews stated..
So I would recommend this to anyone who is having doubts as a priority device to add to your shopping list for heating. I am not sure if a few would workout cost efficient to run as the sole source of heating, that is going to be my next test to compare it to the central heating costs, as energy prices appear to be increasing everywhere at a alarming rate.
I would like to hear from anyone who has compared costs ?
5 stars for the company and the device. (so far )
My rented property has very old storage heaters which I find quite uneconomical. Especially when I come down in the mornings to a sauna and have to open all my windows for a few minutes. When I need the heat in the evening the house is starting to go cold with no other way to heat the house. I decided to purchase a separate heater to use as and when. I chose this item after some research on the internet, which lead my to look at convector heaters. I use Amazon a lot, so Amazon was my 1st port of call, and this product has a lot of good reviews. I purchased it, it was delivered very very quickly and I have not been disappointed.
It did smell a little bit when I first turned it on but I think you have to expect that, like when you buy a new oven. This phase did not last very long. The 2nd day it did not smell any more.
NOTE – You need to leave a good clear space all around the heater when it is on so you cannot have one side up against a wall. I did know this before I bought it after reading the reviews. I have a long living/dining room and the heater sits in the corner next to the storage heater, behind my dining table. I am able to pull the heater out a bit to ensure adequate clearance around both sides of the heater and my round dining table and chairs act as a kind of “guard” so I do not have to worry about my 20 month old seeing the heater and deciding to investigate. Although she is never left alone in the room with the heater on I might add!
***IF I did not have this handy concealed corner for the heater to sit in I would not feel comfortable using it whilst my 2 children(ages 6 and 20mths)are up and about***
PROS
– heats up and warms the room very quickly.
– you can choose the temperature.
– It has a timer. I set it for 1hr every time I use it but I have always turned it off before the hour is up as the room gets heated up nice and quickly. I usually turn it on to warm up the room just before the children have their bath time/bedtime routine. The timer gives me peace of mind that the heater will turn off if I forget (by this time of day my brain is mush) although the heater does turn off once the chosen temperature has been achieved. When it’s thermostat has dropped by 2 degrees it will turn on again.
– wheels on one end. Easy to move about although it’s not that heavy anyway.
– cable tidy. You can wind the plug at one end so it all stays tidy and compact.
– economical??? I want to say it is but I do not know yet. It has been cold lately and usually I would have turned my storage heaters on. I have been using this heater for less than 1 hour a day so far so of course it has saved me money up to now. We shall see how much I use it once it gets really really cold.
CONS
– It is large so if I did not have my handy hidden corner i’m not sure where it would live when not in use. It would annoy me to see it all the time (i’m a stay at home Mum at the moment and something like that would bother me).
– CHILDREN. Minus a handy hidden corner I do not think this would be a great heater to have when you have young children. That could be said with any heater I guess. This product has mesh sides and gives off heat from the top as well as from the sides. This is what makes the product so darn good. You need to think about when and where you would use the heater.
– I can’t think of any more.
Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and my living room has been nice and toasty as the evening chill starts to kick in.
I chose this particular unit , based on reviews on Amazon, because it met my needs of something that would warm a room quite rapidly and keep it in a 2 or 3 degree temperature range overnight or shorter.
The heater arrived ahead of estimated delivery date, luckily I was working from home. It was extremely simple to unpack, slide the wheels on one end (only fits on one side) and the feet on the other. The remote takes two AAA batteries, not supplied. I had read about an odour burning off on first use, so set up in a well ventilated room, and there is a chemical odour for the first 20-30 minutes of use. On switch on, it prompts you for which settings you want, high/low power, temperature and timing, giving the current settings on the red LED display.
I decided to challenge it to 30 degrees C, and the heat was pouring out in around a minute. If you have an external draught, because of the design of the unit, placing the it in front of the source will guarantee a steady stream of warm air, as it passes through the mesh walls and over the mica elements. It managed to reach 27 degrees, before I decided I was getting too warm and adjusted it to a more comfortable setting.
The remote control alters on/off, temperature and timing, but not power setting. I suspect the three power settings are heat boost, as part of high power, high power and low power. I haven’t established what the likely consumption is yet (because I haven’t different usage over different days in the week) but I suspect it will be cheaper to run, after an initial warm up burst, on low power.
It’s a really pleasing item to look at and kind of blends in after a very short period of time. I’m pleased with it so far.
Only downside, the instructions are obviously translated, and the grammar jars a little and the level of detail some people need to feel reassured, isn’t there. If you can get over that, I’d say you’ll be very happy with it.
I got the remote model, because, essentially, I’m lazy, that and I’ll be in bed under a goose-down duvet when I want it turning up (or down); I love my bed and it loves me, so a tenner is worth it to me.
I bought this for my son’s loft room which becomes very cold very quickly despite the central heating radiator. I did a lot of research before buying this product and am very pleased with the look and all the specifications, apart from as one customer notes, that the timer only has basic setting control, however using the temperature control instead, compensates well for this. I have given it 4 stars as it is important to not place it directly up against the wall due to the sides being meshed and ‘open’ to allow quick heating, but this was not explained in the product notes. This means that it also needs to be placed a good distance (can’t remember how far) away from any object(s), for safety reasons and to allow the hot air to circulate, certainly I think an important consideration to think about before buying, depending how much space you have in your room. Once we realised, my son has it end on to the wall and this seems fine. Overall, I am very pleased and think this is an excellent product. I would highly recommend it, as long as you can ensure you have some space available around it so that it can operate efficiently and safely.
I Live in a large room which have high ceiling, and there is no wall mounted heater.. Therefore I had to get one of these heaters.. I have looked at Halogen heaters , convection heaters , fan heaters , oil filled and oil free radiators. And finally I decided to buy HV102 due to its price slightly cheaper than the rest of its brothers.. and its also looks very stylish and having a lot better features , such as; remote control , timer , and thermostat.
I have ordered it yesterday around 3 pm and It has arrived today around 12 pm with standard delivery , less than 24 hours! The product was well packaged and there were no faults at all..
When You first open the box you will see the wheels and the opposite side base, they are so easy to plug in and plug out and requires no screws!
There were no batteries sent for the remote control. but its not a big deal.. I already had some spare batteries 🙂
When I switched it on It get the maximum hotness around 40 seconds! There were no existing noise!
I have tasted it in my large high ciling living room which having a large kitchen inside.. the rooms temperature was 19 Celsius degrees before the heating started.. I switched the heater on and I set the thermostat to 28 degrees..
It took 1 hour and 20 minutes to room heat gets to 28 degrees. And it switched of and remain of until room degrees fall down to 26 . and it started it self again until to reach 28. Basically if you set the thermostat lets say 30 degrees , when the room temparature reach 30 degrees , the heater stops heating untill the room temparature get lower 2 degrees than the chosen degree. so if you select 30 , its going to remain switched of untill the degree falls 28 , than it will start again and it will heat untill the heat gets again 30 degrees. And it will always going to circulate this action untill you switched it of. Or if you selected a switching of time . so if you select the time 1 hr its going to switch itself of after 1 hour. you can select between 1hr-18hr.
The product its really efficient , easy to use and stylish and has a remote control! which most of the radiators havent! But the most important its healty, does not dry the air!
I really liked it , and I thought that was an intelligent purchase!
The only down side I can tell, even though if its on full power It doesn’t feel its extremely hot. Of course its still really hot and heat the room so well. But you can still touch the heater and keep your hand for a while even when its working on full power. But that is still don’t effects its efficiency of heating the room. My old oil filled radior was heating a smaller room around 1 hour and 20 mins! This one cn heat the large room with a kitchen , and it gets hot less than one minute! Oil filled ones takes 10 to 12 minutes to get hot!
It deserves 4 stars!
I bought this heater after reading other reviewer’s comments and like some of them, I hadn’t heard of the company or product before. I chose this model as it looked a bit less utilitarian than most on the market, the price was competitive and the claims made by the manufacturer that it heats up in 1 minute. Well, it certainly does heat up quickly and apart from the tiny little click you hear when the thermostat kicks in to turn it on or off it is as quiet as a ‘mouse’.
If I only have one negative thing to say it is that the remote control is a bit plastic-y and it has quite a short range so you still need to be quite near to the unit to get the remote to work. However, most other heaters do not have a remote so it is only a tiny little ‘gripe’.
If you are teetering on the edge of which heater to buy, I’d recommend this one, so much so that we are about to purchase another one we are so impressed.
Hi , product arrived on time and well packed. I was surprised by the lightness and simplicity of the heater .
I would have given it 5 stars but gave 4 because during the assembly ,i had problems installing the wheels and the edges on the radiator were extremely sharp . So much so that i cut both thumbs trying to insert the wheel and base !
So take care with this assembly !
Assembly problems apart ,the rad works great and controls are simple and intuitive . The matt black appearance is attractive in an industrial and purposeful way !
Very slim , light , fast heat-up time and easy on the electric ! , and is as good as products on the market that may cost 50% more too. The added remote is useful if you are a ‘couch lizard’! , and comes with the batteries .
Mine is in the garage but it heats up the space -nice and toasty
I have had the heater for a few months now and it has settled down and works pretty much as I expected. Being able to set the thermostat is very useful. I work mostly from home and I use it to heat my home office. There does seem to be a long gap between it cutting out when the temperature is reached and coming back on again. I assume this is to save the unit heating and and cooling down too often which would possibly shorten its life.
The one complaint I have is how long it takes to settle from new. This is in regard to the smell it gives off, which has been mentioned before. I could not use it in a confined space at first because it actually made my chest feel uncomfortable. I would not recommend this to anyone with Asthma or breathing issues. I put it in a spare room and ran it for a few hours several times a day. It took a couple of weeks before I felt comfortable using it in my home office. This was probably overkill but I wanted to be sure.
Now it has settled it works very well. It heats up quickly and is completely silent except for the odd click which I think is the thermostat. I have no idea how much electricity it uses but in a cold Yorkshire winter that is not my priority. As long as you are happy putting it somewhere to get rid of the initial smell it seems like a good product.
Colour and design immediately stood out from other convector heaters looked at.
Well packaged, easily assembled, wheels make it easy to move.
Mesh style construction on sides seem to give a quicker and more even distribution of
heat than previous makes we have used. Heats up quickly, and thermostat seems ok, quiet
and efficient.Should you want more control particularly re thermostat control the slightly
more expensive model could be purchased. Running costs seem good through the present cold
spell, and two settings if required give enough heat.
Have found it a useful model to use if full central heating is not on,and sufficient heat to
use in fairly large rooms.
