Worked very well and got rid of the moths that you get with parrot food on here however never lasted more than 3 weeks before it broke.
As other half knocked it off the bracket and landed in the sink.
Would buy again if I brought parrot food off here in bulk.
4 out of 5 stars only taking away one star it never helped with the fruit flies. May be to small for i

At one point I was fed up with buying fly sprays in one place without any effect, so I bought this device for flies and mosquitoes and put it near the door where it is opened most often when an intruder wants to between going directly to the device and falling into the tray it has without falling on the floor and making a mess. It is easy to use, in the summer when we sit on the terrace I keep it outside to protect us from mosquitoes, it is easy to clean by removing the tray. The chain it has gives the possibility to hang it from anywhere without any problem, but it must be taken into account that it must be plugged into the socket.

I am not quite sure why they claim that it migth be effective against flies.
While the voltage is certainly sufficient to kill them, they are not attracted to light so there is not a very good chance that they will land on it.

It is however effective against mosquitoes and we used it in the garden in the evening.
You can ear the occasional zapping sound and it helps, even though outdoor is not a perfect protection, particularly if you have other lights on.
As all this type of devices, it will also slaughter moths and a variety of other insects which are attracted to light, which is a bit of pity. While normal house flies, blue bottle and so forth are not attracted to light, tiny midges, which can be a nuisance, like it it and, even when they avoid electrocution, it will keep them busy and away from you.
There is a tray on the bottom to get rid of the corpses (which is good because cleaning models without tray is always complicated).

This zapper is much better than others that I have tried recently to solve the problem of having a lot of flies around my back garden door.

It can be used both indoor and outdoors and it attracts virtually all the flies that hover around, whether that be during the daylight hours or at night when it’s dark.

The dead flies zap into a tray which is easy to remove and clean the dead flies out.

We’re having a big extended family barbecue at the weekend so plan on taking this zapper out and handing it up in the garden as we don’t want any unwelcome guests hovering around our food.

At the current price 26.79 it’s excellent value for money and highly recommended.

We’ve currently got this hung up in the kitchen as the kitchen windows open on to our back garden and even with the windows just on vent we still get a large number of pests flying through. This unit does appear to have kyboshed 90% of the little terrors though. We’ve quite few sockets within the kitchen so we hung it close to the window (comes complete with chain to hang it with) and turned it on. Inside of a couple of days the removeable tray at the base of the unit had quite a few critters in it and they were all well dead, fried. We decided to hang it (and reasonably high – to the full extent of the 90cm lead) rather than use the free standing option because we’ve inquisitive grandkids and even more inquisitive cats and whilst it purports to be safe from ‘accidental’ touching, nothing about inquisitive kids/cats is ever accidental. The unit uses 2 UVA LED tubes and a 1500V grid. It is reminiscent of the ones that you see in caf kitchens and does that job. Also, if you wanted to have a summer evening in the garden with or without a barbeque, you could move this outside and hang it on a shed with the use of an extension cable and have a bug free BBQ, it’s use isn’t limited to just indoors, it’s limited only by the length of supplied cable – 20m extension and you’ve just extended it’s range: although remember to take it in if it rains. Good solid piece of kit that works, so I would recommend without hesitation.

I call this bug zapper the silent assassin because all the other bug zappers I’ve had of this type buzz and crackle like old sparky but this one is so quiet I thought it wasn’t working. I set this up in the back living room of my house where I like to sit watching TV with my patio doors open but after 5 mins in come the flying pest, after set up I noticed hardly any flying pest but I heard nothing but on checking the unit there was quite a few corpses, wow how quiet and not only that the light must be acting as a repellent as my room has never been so bug free, I’m well pleased and it only uses 4watts of power. It came in a fairly plain brown cardboard box with a length of chain to hang the unit and a little brush to clean off the corpses, it’s a nice slimline unit and looks well and for the price it’s a great value fly,bug killer, 5 star would recommend.

The summer is upon us and if you live rural like me, you know this is when all the flying insects like to swarm! This unit is nice and large and can either be installed both indoor and outdoor. I have it set right by my back door as I like to leave it open during the summer months. The unit was easy to attach to the wall and is a plug and play kind of item. Glows up right away when turned on and then you can hear the little zaps when it kills a bug. The big then drops into a little storage tray at the bottom of the unit which can be emptied as and when. Seems to be working and holding up strong! No more annoying flying insects in the living room while watching tv haha. I think the price is good value for what you get.

This bug zapper by DANGZW is a proper flying-insect killer, like the ones you might see hanging up in a butcher’s or baker’s shop window, and it offers a lot more bug killing power than many of the cheaper designs with it’s 1500V power grid. This double-sided zapper can be hung up, using the supplied chain, or just stood at a height where the insects like to fly — a limiting factor is the length of the power cord so you might need an extension lead depending on the location of your mains socket. This lamp uses two 2W fluorescent UV tubes which may need replacing from time to time — instructions for doing this are shown on this Amazon product page. This is a decent bug zapper that really does the job with a satisfying snap as bug meets power grid — it is currently around twenty-seven pounds from Amazon which is reasonable value considering the performance. You could spend less on more attractive LED zappers, but I’ve found they just don’t perform as well as this rather industrial-looking device. This is a powerful killing machine so you do need to take a bit of care when using it — especially near children or pets — but if you want to be rid of annoying bitey things then this zapper will do the job; four stars for what is offered at the price.
