This is perfect to extend a hardwired LAN from your router out into the garden.
I use it for my laptop when working. Never had a dropped connection since using it. Perfect!

This worked out to be a very convenient way for me to run ethernet cabling at home. It worked well and I am very happy with the product so far.
It gets the job done just fine, and I love that the cord is flat. Only downside is having to manually crank it back to put it away so it wasn’t perfect for daily plugging and unplugging.

I had an issue with my extngo, and i got fast and easy service. They quickly sent me another one. I love this product so much i have 2 of them. It makes life so easy to be connected (I have to for work) and be mobile. I can be in my office, in the living room, my daughters bedroom or even outside! It’s great!
I bought this for my daughter who works from home. Her previous cable would tangle up really bad but this one is excellent!! Absolutely no issue. Just wind it up after use and that’s it. Awesome product!

I love this product. It keeps the wire neat and tangle free. The flat wire feature make less like to trip over when stretching across the floor. No assemble required just unpack, take off the male jack cover and your good to go. The only issue I do have is that I wish the handle on the reel was a little longer for a better grip when rolling the wire back up. Otherwise definitely a product worth having in your home or office.
Love the convenience of this 50′ reel of cat5. In the age of Zoom meetings and virtual sessions I like to “hard wire” my Ethernet connection for faster and more reliable connections. This has been great uses it several time a week. Has RJ45 connector (standard Ethernet) and a female socket in the center of spool. Bonus. They send a free retractable 6′ patch cable to use between the reel and your device. Really convenient and simple.
For years I’ve run a tangled Ethernet cable from my desktop across the room to my router. This replaced the unsightly cable and makes it 100% easier to wind the cable across the room. I only connect the cable when using the desktop so I needed something I could quickly deploy then reel back into its housing. This was the perfect solution.
I keep the big reel in the back of my truck and small reel in my computer bag. Works great. Rolls up easily. Keeps the rat’s nest of cables away. I like it.

Work with a laptop at multiple job sites, have had the green 10 meter version for a while now and liked its durability and convenience. Went ahead and got the orange 15 meter version since I need two straight cables at once to finish my work.

This cable is great! When my “older” laptop decides that the wireless won’t connect it is super easy to roll out this cable and connect directly to my modem. Then when I am done it is so easy to wind up the cord with the reel. And the included short cable is convenient to connect from the female port on the reel to the modem. So glad I made this purchase!

Great product easy to use when on location and need to plug into a controller. Kinda tough to wind back up be cool if it was wound up with a spring return but other than that great product. Small and easy to store in the truck. The flat cable in mine was twisted and I had to pull it all out and rewind it without the twist to make it easier.
It retract and rolls up very easily and it is vey compact! It does what it says!
It works as advertised, and it’s nice to be able to reel up the cable when not using it. Very happy with the purchase.
For improvements, I’d love for the price to be a littttttle bit more affordable and to have 75 and 100 ft options as well. Also, I think there’s room for improvement on the final connection point between the reel and the computer. I’m not sure what to do differently than the convenient and compact retractable patch cable it comes with, but it seems there must be a better way.

I like this product for keeping space clear when not using. The rewind was sometimes harder to wind cable back. A spring loaded rewind version would be nice. Overall, I am very satisfied and this meets my needs.
I utilize this product for a private WiFi network I set up while visiting various sites for work. I was using a 100′ cable which I kept rolled up with zip ties. This was heavy and nothing but a pain to utilize out in the field.
I found the EXTNGO and saw that it was available in various lengths of which I purchased the 50′. I like the quick roll-up capability and the weight reduction from what I was carrying before. The only item I dislike about the product, of which is the reason I gave it a 4, is that the cable end (the plug) sticks out of the unit when rolled up. It should have the ability to roll all the way in or possibly have an indent on the housing of which you could snap the plug into so that it is flush with the housing.
When I have the unit in my equipment bag (hardcase luggage) with the other equipment I worry that the plug is going to break because it sits out of the housing like a tab ready to snap.
To the manufacturer: feel free to utilize my idea for the housing indent for securing the plug end and if you do so all that I ask is that you send me an updated unit with the new improvement……Thanks!

My plan is to use this in the field commissioning ubiquity radios and programming PLCs. There’s never any way to get the truck very close.
I use these to run the lasers in my event lighting business. Since you can chain them together we just keep adding on as we need them—and I keep buying them. Great product.

The handle is a little stiff, and you have to be careful not to reel it in so it twists, but otherwise this is an excellent purchase.
Saves me from having to coil up 50′ of network cable in my work truck for those times when wireless isn’t an option. Will have to update this review later on how it deals with cold conditions.
I have lots of ethernet cables – and they are all too short or too long. If I need 17 feet then I have to buy 25 and wrap up the other 8 feet. But then I want to use it elsewhere and I have to unwrap the extra part – and wrap it again when I move it back. Everyone keeps tripping on it and the dogs love to chew the extra. This one can extend or retract to the exact length needed! And the extra is tucked inside. So easy to disconnect, move, resize and reconnect. Showed up in one day for no additional cost – and I’ve received and email from the sender making sure everything worked with easy contact info if it didn’t. I don’t know what else this brand makes and this seller sells, but they’re my go-to for future purchases.
This is the second Extngo i got. It’s amazing how easy it’s to daisy chain them and get up to 80 feet wire length. Works great for me.

I purchased this product along with the 10 meter one, I knew I would need multiple cables for my office, and I can say with confidence, this is the best network cable you can get. I never knew I could be excited about a cable, but there you go! Look no further, this is going to solve whatever issue you have with cables. It’s easy to store, and it’s super flat so you can hide it under the carpet, and it even goes under closed doors. You’ll love it.
I travel for my job and spend 250+ nights per year in a hotel room. I wanted an easy method of connecting the game system I carry with me to the wired internet in the hotel room which is rarely near the tv. Since the 50 ft model was not much more I chose it. It has served the purpose I needed it for quite well and data transfer rates are fine though probably never stressed since hotel internet isn’t exactly blazing speed. I wouldn’t hesitate to get another if I had the need.
It is so small and compact. I love the functionality and flat cord that I can run underneath my rug and furniture very easily compared to the tangled and bulky Ethernet cord I used to use. Rolling it back up is a breeze. I’m so glad I purchased this!
UPDATE: Just received the unit and it is harder to turn the crank than expected – the action should be much smoother. Hopefully this is addressed in future revisions.
1 – The Bonus 1 meter network patch cable did not work. I had another one in my bag which I use for travel, which I tried and that worked.
2 – Tough to wind up when done.
Other than that, this is a great idea and I’m hoping that even a longer cable can be offered as an option (although you can connect a couple together if needed).
It was a great replacement for a previous cable which was not retractable and became quite unwieldy. It’s very compact and will serve those with limited space and/or need for portability quite well.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !
