I purchased this product for home office use.
The product was delivered on time and very well packaged.
I was very surprised (pleasantly so) how easy and quick the unit was to assemble.
The unit is robust and offers a very smooth and quiet motorised height adjustment.
Overall: Very satisfied with this purchase.
I bought this early last year, before the Covid19 lockdown situation came to light. Fantastic purchase, excellent delivery by Amazon prime – not charging a single extra penny, considering that the package was 30kgs! Very easily assembled, bought a desk-top from Ikea to suit and it’s just perfect for my home office. Can’t fault it!
Like many people, I needed a desk to work from home in 2020. I didn’t initially plan to spend hundreds on a desk, but after years of asking my work to think about standing desks, I thought it would be pretty hypocritical to not consider buying one myself. Flexispot were one of the lower cost desk options, including a pleasingly large range of frames with a range of prices (and a comparison table) as well as lots of accessories. I considered a few other brands, e.g. Autonomous, but the mid-range Flexispot models seemed to have to have a better balance of stability and price (from the very limited independent online information about models available in the UK).
I was fortunate enough to get the 360 E5 frame for 168, by combining the ‘E5′ offer code with the Amazon Prime day sale. I was looking at Flexispot frames for about a month and most frames had an offer on at some point. Once I had ordered, I didn’t get any delivery tracking information from Flexispot themselves. However I did receive an email about a DDP delivery from an unknown address, which turned out to be my frame. It arrived within maybe 2 days or ordering, far faster than I had expected.
Assembling the frame was relatively easy (although as a 43kg 5’ 3” woman, it’s pretty heavy), easier than most Ikea assembly I’ve done. The instructions provided aren’t the clearest, both in the words/images provided and also the small size of the images. However, all the pieces provided (down to the two allen keys and different types of screws) are all numbered/lettered and consistently referred to, which was appreciated.
I chose not to get a Flexispot desktop because I was looking for a 120x80cm desktop in a cool-toned wood and the mahogany looked a little too orange/red for me. Several weeks after assembling the frame, I bought a 120x80cm walnut desktop from YoYo Desk, and this was easy to install onto the frame – put desktop on frame, drill pilot holes in from underneath, then the screws (provided with the Flexispot frame).
I am very happy with the assembled desk! It raises/lowers quickly and smoothly, and the pre-set heights are easy to set. The frame is sturdy, and a pleasing matt black colour. The included cable tidy tray stores almost all of the cables, meaning my desk looks far tidier than my previous set-up. The 4 feet have an adjustable height screw mechanism – though not quite enough to compensate for my pretty uneven floor. The desk lowers to about 62cm. When sitting, I have it around 70cm, but as a short person I definitely appreciate that the E5 can lower more than any other frame I’ve seen.
Customer service from Flexispot was mixed. I sent multiple emails with queries about their products, called, used the website chat, and messaged the US Twitter support account. I got one email reply very quickly, and the other emails got no response. Each call rang out after 3 minutes and none of the voicemails that I was asked to leave were ever responded to. The US Twitter replied quickly with what information they could provide, but the promised call from a UK agent again didn’t come. The person I spoke to on web chat tried to be helpful but seemed a little confused about the products. On the other hand, once I had ordered, my frame arrived very quickly. Initially I assumed that with covid-19 they were far busier than usual and this was the reason for the poor customer service responses (and this may still be the case) – however from reading other reviews, this seems to be a more persistent issue for Flexispot.
Having researched desks for absolutely ages, and knowing I wanted a height adjustable desk of better quality than the cheap ones, but not pay the cost of an updesk, I decided to couple this with an Ikea desktop (160cm x 80cm). I did some careful planning drilling the 20 or so holes and some how by fluke or otherwise got it spot on first time. The desk frame itself is made of such great quality that you can tell this from the instant you unpack it (very heavy). The motor is solid and the instructions made putting it together simple. It has a memory to set 3 heights, with an indicator for adjustments in between. Whilst it is noisy in operation, it is fast enough not to be a problem. One of my best office purchases.
Firstly, it’s quite hefty so would reccommend 2 people to build, and ideally in the room you want it in as is heavy to carry. Obviously this is due to the solid steel construction, which looks and feels great. The box comes with all the screws and allan keys to build it and fix to an existing desk top.
Height adjust is simple with the option to have 3 presets, which is very handy as you can find the heights you want and set it to that unlike the cheaper ones that dont have this option. The motors are quiet, definitely won’t get on your nerves. I have it set to 108cm when standing (i’m 6ft) and goes all the way down to 62cm. Even when standing the top is solid.
However, when i sit close to the desk my knees knock against the supports that go across the desk between the 2 legs, which can be quite painful if i forget theyre there and lift my leg up to change position…
Lastly, i’d reccommend good cable managment as there will be even more wires around and under the desk and dont want to get them caught when the desk is moving
This is my first experience of a standing desk and this is really great. I’m using it since few months and I can’t work without anymore.
A really good product to buy!
Purchased on Amazon Prime Day 2020, so very happy with the discount provided. The bespoke packaging ensured that the heavy components were delivered in pristine condition. Warning !!!!! the package is extremely heavy, for my installation which was to re-appropriate a box bedroom into a home office, it is advised to open the packaging downstairs and carry the individual items upstairs. The assembly instructions are clear and easy to follow, I assembled the desk and was up and running within the hour. The motors are extremely quiet, smooth and quick in operation. The gubbins are unobtrusive and secured within a cable management tray. I am totally delighted with this purchase.
I’m 6’5 and weigh 100kg. This desk lifts high enough to comfortably support me standing up.
I also couldn’t help myself and decided to see if it could lift me standing on top which it managed without issue.
Very impressed.
We’re all working from home more these days. With childcare and working from home I’m not quite getting the time I’d like to exercise, and find myself when I am working spending a lot of time sitting at my desk. I thought I’d get a standing desk to at least get me on my feet at least sometimes. After a lot of research I found generally positive reviews and coverage of the Flexispot standing desk frames.
So, in a prime sale, I picked this E5B up at an absolute bargain price. The package is quite heavy but compact, so I was easily able to heft it up to my home office. The instructions were for the most part very clear and with time, patience and a power drill I had it all put together with an IKEA GERTON table top in an hour or so. I did it by myself, but would recommend a helping hand if you can get it. The desk takes my hefty computer, two monitors, big bookshelf speakers, and more without any complaints. It has a quiet and smooth motor to adjust the height, with three memory settings and even an option to remind you to adjust height and break up the habit of working in one position too long.
The only minor complaint I have is the control unit fits into the desk with two screws on some plastic slots, and these slots fatigued quite quickly under the friction of the screws being put in with the power drill even on a low setting. I had to adjust the screws and take it very slowly, but given the solid wood desk I needed to drill it in as wouldn’t have been able to do it manually. I would have preferred the slots be thicker plastic, or ideally metal, with screw holes like the rest of the parts, to make a better fit. So, do be careful when fitting the control unit. But otherwise, works like a charm, feels solid, and delighted to have a desk that I could pick a top for that fits my needs. Next up I’m considering putting my PC in a smaller case and popping it into a Flexispot CPU holder to hang under the desk and get a bit more desk space, and maybe a monitor arm or two.
Overall, very happy with my purchase!
After months of 10+ hour days sitting down my home office during lockdown, this has been a game-changer in terms of extra focus and energy when working, especially for Zoom calls!
The instructions were clear and simple to follow. Took less than 30 minutes to assemble. Then about another hour to dismantle my old desk and transfer the old desk onto the Flexispot frame.
My whole desk setup remains the same, except now I can alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day.
A very worthwhile investment.
What a beast of a thing!
If you want a standing desk, you can’t go far wrong with this one.
A good bit of kit with two hefty motors, and feels sturdy despite having only two long feet.
Motors havent struggled even with a huge weight bias on one side (for me its a clampmounted 4 x 27in screen array)
Desk isn’t tilting or leaning.
Vibrates the teeniest amount when aggressively typing, and this is worse, the higher you have it, but not noticeable and perfectly acceptable all things considered.
Goes together easy enough, though one thing to watch out for when building. The main cross bar goes on one particular way up. There is restrictive metal to stop you putting it on the wrong way up, but only on one hole.
Be aware of this when building as it’s not mentioned.!
Arrived promptly. Very easy to put together with clear instructions. It is very sturdy. Happy with my purchase.
If you are in any doubt, it is for me one of my best buys. I paired it with a 2cm thick ikea desk top and made sure to place the screws where expected by ikea as the desktop is hollow. It works perfectly. It is stable and looks good. I use it every day and should have bought it months ago! Absolutely perfect!
I purchased this desk frame along with the 180cm Yo-Yo E5W desk top and it is absolutely great. It’s easy to assemble, sturdy, looks good, and the motors are smooth and quiet when in action. It comes with all of the screws and fittings you’ll need to attach it to your desk top. My only regret is that I didn’t buy it sooner.
I’m using this for a home office since I’m now largely working from home. Having the ability to stand up whilst working is really helpful for a sore back, since I would otherwise be sitting for hours on end. THe desk was really simply to put togetherin just a few minutes. The up/down operation is whisper quiet, andeven when at standing height there is neglible “wobble”. The cable management under-desk cage is handy and cna easily accomodate an extension block supporting 5 UK plugs. Do note however that were you to put power adaptors into such an extension block rather that just UK plugs, the cage covering would most likely not fit since it is not deep enough for that. Overall, I’m really pleased with the purchase.
I went for the E5 (bought direct from Flexispot) as the other products only go down to 71cm. If you’re much less than 6′ tall then that is not low enough once a desktop is added. It would be good if the single motor options went a little lower.
Reviews on Amazon are a bit more critical and I did wonder if Flexispot were cherry picking the reviews they publish. A few Amazon reviews suggested this desk was not stable. I can say it moves front to back a bit more than the 4 legged desk it replaced but you’d really need to shake it to see this as a problem. Overall I am very happy with it.
Having read a few reviews on different adjustable frames it seems the only common complain was sideways stability when in the stand position. I therefore went for this slightly more expensive one. The theory being that as it has a higher lifting capacity it might be more “solid”.
This is a HEAVY frame and has been well engineered to good tolerances. I took the time to make sure every part was firmly assembles to reduce “sway” and recycled my existing desk top. It was not difficult. Just followed the instructions.
The desk has no wobbling or sway at the 107cm height I am typing this (I am 5″11) or whilst vigorously gaming with the mouse and keyboard. Motors are quiet and operation straight forward. Pretty happy with the whole set up.
I assembled it today, I have no complaints, it’s great so fa
Spending hours sitting down and working all day every day is ruining your back and your posture. This desk allows you to sit/stand whenever you want at the touch of a button. Highly recommended. This appears to be of great quality and after 9 months of daily use I have had no issues.
I fitted an IKEA Gallant glass tabletop which I had lying around. I had to drill a hole through the frame with a HSS drill bit to accommodate the gallant dimensions but it’s quite simple to fit.
Mission Accomplished. I am standing up as I type this message and feeling good for having the extra flexibility of working from home….comfortably. My project was to overhaul my home office since I will be WFH through to at least Q2 2021 since we are shielding my missus (from Covid-19). I had back problems in mid-2019 due to a misaligned chair and desk height, so getting an ergonomic chair and a standing desk was the aim.
So onto the review itself:
** Putting it together is so easy. It comes with allen keys and the screws are in separate clearly labelled packs
** The screws are excellent quality and do not shred as you screw, then unscrew, and re-screw them
** I have put a large, very heavy piece of timber (180cm L x 70cm W x 5cm H) on the Flexispot E5B desk frame
** The power mechanism easily copes with the height adjustment for this substantially weighted desk top
** It does wobble a little at the top height but it certainly cannot fall over
** The whirring sound as it adjusts the height is relatively quiet too
** The frame is solid and heavy as you would expect. It feels so dependable.
I bought the E5B to use in a new home office. Previously I’ve sat at my desk and wanting to stand more often. I opted for the Flexispot E5 as I have a solid oak desk-top 2m in length so needed a sturdy frame which could handle the size and weight.
Assembly was straightforward, the item came well packaged. The frame looks and works perfectly.
Highly recommended.
This is a great electric desk. Really easy to build with the instruction. Did it in 2 hours from start to finished. Got this with the Yo Yo 140cm desk top – no predrill holes but quite easy to do with electric drill. Looks great togeather. The motor is really smooth and the range of heights is great. Perfect for home working during COVID19. Would fully recommend.
Just so good. Surprisingly easy to assemble. Far fewer individual parts than I expected. Very strong mechanism, I have a heavy oak worktop on it, metal monitor arm and ultrawide screen – no problems moving up and down.
I was a healthy sceptic of these standing desks but no I converted! My main issue was that I didn’t want to pay loads of money for a standing desk but I didn’t want a hand crank unit from ikea or similar because I see it more of a disadvantage as an advantage!
Since receiving the product I have had far less pain in my back from working 40+hrs a week desk job!
Would definitely recommend but i would be mindful as the desk reaches heights of more than 101 it tends to rack a little bit when you deliberately wobble the desk. When you’re just working away it doesn’t sway or anything! Simply brilliant!
This desk is sturdy and easy to put together with the tools provided. Nearly silent motor with three memory settings which I find great. Easy to set to your favorite position. It also has an alarm you can set to alert to you to change sitting or standing position. This is a good feature for me as it reminds me to change positions and has improved my backache as I don’t find myself sitting for long periods of time. Goes quite high which was something else I liked being 6ft tall. This also makes it easier to hoover under ( not that that will be important to some) but having arthritis this is good for me. Plenty of room for laptop and printer as well as space to work. My only fault with it would be the operation unit to raise and lower is a tad flimsy but that’s not a great issue as with the preset settings I can’t see my self having to constantly press the buttons. So far pretty impressed
Excellent product, really helped with working from home. The alarm cycle is a neat touch, reminding me to change from sitting to standing regularly. Product arrived quickly and was relatively easy to put together. I used my own table top so had to spend time drilling some pilot holes. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. 2 months and I am very glad I bought this.
The desk works very smoothly with the ability to program in three pre-set heights. It is stable when it is raised and the lifting mechanism doesn’t cause any vibration.
I very strongly recommend using a power-tool to screw the desk-frame to the desk-top if you buy a flexispot desk-top – the MDF is extremely hard.
Absolutely fantastic. This frame is rock solid and really quiet. No significant wobble at full extension, even with an Apple thunderbolt monitor on a mount. I have AS and an adjustable desk makes a huge difference. Get one.
This is my second one of those. Very happy. The motors are quieter. Very smooth operation. The anti collision works much better with the reverse motion working well. I did battle a bit with the assembly however I think that was just me and the interaction from the seller was top class, with very quick communication. It weighs a ton but its so smooth and solid. With the value of what is sitting on top it is good to have reassurance that all is well. I see that they’ve dropped the cable cage but replaced with cable ties. This makes it easier and more flexible too access the wires.
This is by far the most complex thing I’ve ever taken on to assemble. It did take me a fair time to do this this, however very pleased with the result
Some reviews here say it rattles. I would say that perhaps they need to tighten their screws. It also does help to follow the instructions’ which are very clear and informative.
I see that the transformer simply hangs in its holder from the support beams. I thought that this was going to be the “rattle”. However its as quiet as a mouse. No problem there, and again gives flexible options when assembling
When I bought the first one of these they were only a few types offered. Now there has been an explosion probably due to working from home. It is relatively expensive but I think this is top class and excellent value for money
This thing wasn’t due to turn up for weeks, 2 days later here it is! Easy to put together, pretty solid all around.
No issues whatsoever, easy to put together and holds well my heavy oak worktop with 4 screens.
I wanted a standing desk, but they were all too expensive. This one was the cheapest I could find that didn’t appear to compromise on quality (according to reviews). And it doesn’t compromise on quality. It is surprisingly heavy. It can lift a lot of weight (I sat on it, and pressed the ‘up button’, and the desk had no trouble lifting me: 70kg).
And it doesn’t look bad.
The controls are smooth, quiet. It’s not a push-over either. I purchased the desk wheels to go with it, and these appear to be of just as good quality, and handle slightly rougher surfaces such as my grooved wooden patio decking without issue.
The table top (that I bought separately) is a full inch thick and handles abuse well. I’ve clamped a 3-monitor stand to it, and it doesn’t appear to imbalance the desk at all. Everything holds firm.
I think some reviews said that people needed to pre-drill holes in the table top to make it fit the frame. Not really true. The frame’s width can be adjusted to match the holes. Although there appear to be many fewer holes in the table top than there are screw holes in the frame. So I have about 10 left over screws with nothing to do with (until I get myself a drill). Regardless, everything holds firm even without me using all the screws to fix the table top.
A cable tray is included, that is spatious enough to wedge 2 extension chords in the gap, although it is a tight squeeze and you’re probably better off getting a separate additional cable tray for that.
Really, no complaints.
The legs and frame are solidly built and the unit comes with attachable under-desk cable storage trays. Heavy, sturdy with a thick coat of paint on the metal legs and frame. There’s a little wobble when in standing mode (with one of the FlexiSpot desktops attached) but nothing that is really noticeable.
With desktop tightly screwed on, powerful motors in place, this set-up really seems as though it will continue lifting and descending for years to come.
We use sit-stand desks in our offices and as the lockdown has been going on for a while, I felt like I was getting really stiff sitting down all day attending video calls. So I decided to invest in a sit-stand desk.
I was looking for a heavy-duty solution as I have a 23″ iMac with a keyboard and trackpad, plus my work laptop with two screens (23″ and 27″) and a surface book. In addition, I decided to keep my old desktop, a solid piece of wood from IKEA measuring at 75X150cm, which I have painted and oil conditioned.
This desk was advertised as being able to hold 125kg and the items (including the desktop) are definitely not as heavy. I did, however, opt to go for the two motor model, reviewed here.
Assembly was easy. It was actually FUN! I enjoyed doing it a lot, as the instructions made sense and were clearly written. What I enjoyed the most was the cable organization cradles (and this was probably the most complex task given the number of devices this desk will support). I used to have two multipliers, adaptors and a number of cables on the floor. They were tucked away at the end of the wall, but it was definitely a pain to vacuum around there. After assembling my FlexiSpot, I now have ZERO cables on the floor, with only one cable running from the wall to the desk. Simply AMAZING!
The desk feels sturdy, although it doesn’t feel like solid rock. When I shake it intentionally, the screens are moving (obviously). When I type, nothing is moving. It also feels very stable and I really enjoy how it raises. When it is in the raised position, it does shake a bit when I type, but that is not an issue.
The motors seem robust enough and easily switch between positions as you can see on the video attached. It has three height memory buttons. I use two of them for the seating and the standing versions.
I got this unit (frame only) for GBP360, but there was a time (pre lockdown) that it sold for 300 (minus 20 with a voucher). Too bad, I didn’t buy it then, but still think it is money well spent. There is a more pricey version, with a mechanism that will stop the desk from moving if it detects resistance. Probably useful, but I thought simpler mechanics tend to last longer and longevity is key, given the time it takes to put together and the cost.
There are similar solutions from IKEA but were not available online. The other difference is that IKEA will give you 10 years warranty, while FlexiSpot will only protect the motors for three years and the frame for 5. They reward unbiased reviews with an extra year, which is nice.
Overall, I highly recommend this desk and it is really easy to assemble.
The Flexispot standing desk frame is strong, smooth and stable. It is very quiet and allows you to set 3 programmed heights for regular use. Highly recommend this product.
With my back issues, I decided to look for a standing desk frame. I had a 2m table top ready but no frame, as most of the frames online are not capable of supporting a 2m wide desk.
In comes Flexispot with this very sturdy frame that is also easy on the eyes. It took hardly any time to assemble as well. It’s only been a few days but so far I’m very impressed at the smoothness and quietness in which the motors operate when raising or lowering the desk, especially with the weight of a solid wood table top and other equipment on top.
Thumbs up from me!
A lot to like about this frame. Fairly expensive, but that doesn’t stop it from being good value.
Solid robust quality.
Relatively easy to replace the frame on an Ikea destop.
The feature to store 3 heights is great.
Stable, very little wobble when raised.
Fairly easy to put together, helpful to have a person help you and I suggest you take your time.
Apparently I can get an extended warranty for writing a review – hasn’t influenced what I wrote, but has encouraged me to write a review.
Had a handsome table top I wanted to keep, but needed the variation of sit/stand that this product delivers. Have been very impressed with the ease of set up and smooth operation. After 10 months use we relocated the desk – but there was a subsequent fault in the electrics. (Blame children / movers / wear and tear?)
Flexispot were swift and responsive in trying to diagnose the issue. They were willing to supply a replacement control unit (free of charge) to see if that would solve things, and it has. Excellent customer service all round. Would recommend as we’re really pleased with the desk and were not abandoned once our purchase was finished.
You can tell it’s solid from the weight of it! Easy to assemble with clear instructions. Operation is smooth travelling between preset heights for sit and stand quickly and quietly.
I’ve paired it with a 200×80 oak worktop which itself is heavy. This copes with the weight and is stable even at the max height.
I should have bought this years ago. Super sturdy, great design.
I was very impressed with this desk frame before I even finished getting it out of the box. The construction is very high quality and sturdy, and well thought-out. The instructions were easy to follow and It was easy to assemble on my own in under half an hour. I paired it with one of the 140mm desktops and the result is a really stable, attractive desk.
The motors are much quieter than in some other standing desks I’ve tried, and the movement is fast. It takes just about 10 seconds to adjust from my seating preset to the standing setting.
The engine to raise/lower the desk is fast, quite and stable. The legs are quality and sturdy making the desk very stable. It’s made it a pleasure to work from home and for extended periods of time. Recommended.
I delayed buying a standing desk because I thought they were an expensive gimmick. Buying this frame and a cheap desktop seperately brought the price down to the “punt” range. And I am so glad I did!
The desk was easy to assemble, it stands level, and is wobble free. The electric raising and lowering is smooth and quiet in operation. The presets make it very easy to use.
I now find I stand most of the time.
Only been using it a couple of days, but very impressed so far. Build quality is excellent, very heavy, quality components (mostly – see below). Easy to build and use. Motor action is smooth & quiet. But the screws for attaching the tabletop are lousy quality, use your own.
So why the dropped star? The quality of the frame is superb, with one notable exception. The screws provided for attaching the frame to the table top are TERRIBLE. I attached it to a lightweight Ikea top and the heads of the first three screws rounded before the screw was half way home. I gave up and used decent quality wood screws and had no other problems. A great shame really, a classic case of “for a ha’porth of tar…”
The weight of the parcel alone gives a good peace of mind – this is a sturdy piece of kit.
Very easy to assemble and install, I built the kit up, pu it under my existing desk and raised into position, thn just removed the original legs. I have 3 monitors and a heavy desk – lifts and lowers with no problem at all.
Obviously not as stable as having solid legs in all the corners but not too bad – I get some monitor wobble if I move harshly but thats mainly due to my HP monitors having quite a weak stand.
Just a lot of cable management to sort now.
Once I had assembled the frame and secured the desk top, I realised that this really was a quality piece of kit. As I work from home 50% of the time, it was not long before I began to feel the benefits of such a versatile desk arrangement and I have it in the raised position for most of the time.
My main concern was stability, but this has not been an issue, possibly because it stands on a wooden floor. There is very slight movement when fully extended, but this is very slight and less than I expected.
I bought on Black Friday and the price was up by 100 the following day.
All in, delighted with my purchase.
Really good product, we bought ikea table top, nice match and not expancive.
I have always had fixed height desks, and was recommended by others to try an electric desk. This is to reduce backache by typing while standing up. I had looked at very expensive options, but the Flexispot had good reviews and looked a better budget option especially as I already had a worktop from Ikea.
I wanted a white framed unit as this fitted in well with other dcor in my house. This unit is a three stage unit with dual motors. This allows the desk to go very low (63cm approx.) up to over 125cm (too high for me!) Three heights can be preset to the memory. The motors are surprisingly quiet and fast. Highly recommended to anyone who is considering ‘going electric’ for their computer desk.
One leg bends outwards and looks odd but overall it’s not a bad product. I’m not although happy about seeing that 3 weeks after my purchase it costs only 250 considering I paid around 370 + 90 shipment to Sweden for my stand, 250 would have been a better deal.
I paired this with an Ikea desktop that is design to work with their standing desk and it is working well. There is more wobble than I expected at standing height but I’m used to a low solid desk and I’ve got used to it. Definitely recommend
I purchased this during a recent lightning deal sale. I bought the 3 stage version. I had already an ikea top which I attached on this.
The pros :
* excellent price for value
* easy to assemble
* easy to use
* has memory on the controller and measures distance moved
* appears sturdy including housing on to two big 32 Inch screens and laptops
The cons :
* this is tiny and I am just being picky but the controller seems to be better placed on the left. Also it does not slide in / out so it is bit exposed which may affect life (in case users are not careful and bump a chair with arm rests on it)
Overall I highly recommend it and also highly recommend the seller as they were professional in resolving a pricing issue.
My background : I work standing since 2010. I have used custom made ikea contraptions, to varidesk addons, to full moving desks such this one and by other manufacturers.
Super study, easy to assemble, great price (cheaper than the rubbish from ikea!), with fantastic performance – no wobble as I type this in the standing position, takes a massive 125kg, and the memory presets are brilliant. Also, the free standing mat I got with it is really good too. All in all: 11/10. I’m only buying Flexispot for future desk frames.
I’m gonna give it 5/5 because I’m enjoying using it and definitely I don’t regret purchasing it. The desk is really sturdy and the build it really really good. The assembly is not bad but prepare to take a few hours out of your day. The best part is that you can always get another top and no matter the size you can use it with ease. I had a glass top from an old desk an I could attach it with no problems using some double sided sticky tape but I’m planning on getting a nice wooden top to really make it pop. I do think it’s a bit expensive but you get a really good quality desk that I expect to have it for a really really long time, maybe change the top a few times. Also, the height controls are awesome and very intuitive and easy to use.
Is it worth the buy? Definitely, but I suggest making saving a few months for it otherwise it can make a hole in your budget.
So glad we’re now at a time that you can get really great electric sit stand desks for affordable prices.
Review is for the white 3 Stage Frame.
– I got it with a promotion so paid under 300 but would be pleased with this at full price.
– Arrived very quickly but I guess that one is down to Amazon 🙂
– Excellently packaged, sturdy box and all parts nestled in close fitting styrofoam.
– Printed innstructions are clear, well written and thorough. Got the whole thing put together in about 30 minutes.
– Built like a tank. But a stylish tank. Heavy duty metal construction throughout. Once together there is no real give or flex.
– Raise / Lower mechanism worked straight away, goes up and down quickly and virtually silently.
– I paired this with a large desktop from Ikea, just attached it with the provided screws from Flexispot using a small powered screw driver.
So yeah, couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Awesome job Flexispot.
I have been looking around for awhile to get a standing desk at home (as I have one in work) and when I came across this I was delighted as it meant I could use the top of the desk I currently have (which is a kitchen side).
It was easy to put together and the memory unit it a great feature as it means you do not have to stand then with your finger on the up and down button constantly.
The height it goes to is more than comfortable for someone who is 6 foot and the speed and sound are also very good.
The dual motor system is a must as the desk I have in work is a single motor you notice that as it’s raising it does shake a bit.
The desk frame is very heavy, as it is built with thick metal which is what makes it very robust. The electronic controls are pleasing to use, and the timer/alarm feature is a useful bonus; I use it all the time. Very much worth the extra cost to have the 3 step legs as it can go very low, which I need. Minimal to no wobble at standing height, although I am not tall at 1.75m. I would give it 5 stars, but the electronic control had a glitch once and needed resetting. The glitch was very easy to fix but if it is listed in the manual it must be a common thing and the question is why design something that periodically delivers a fault, even if the fault is easy to clear up. Good purchase. Recommended
Bought this after looking at other desks 2-3 times the price. Quality feels solid and well made. Particularly like that the width is adjustable, giving the option of changing to a wider or narrower desk top in the future. The 3x height preset buttons are also very useful/essential – was surprised that some other makes don’t include this by default. The motors are smooth and aren’t particularly noisy, and the height range is very good (I’m 5’11” and haven’t maxed out the height). I have the slightest bit of typing vibration when it is extended, but hardly noticeable (plus desk is on a carpet and I have my monitor stand fully extended). Just about managed to put it together solo, but having someone to help would have made the process a whole lot easier. Very pleased to date and would buy again / recommend.
With this height adjustable desk I was able to change it to the right height for me, and no longer need to have my chair adjusted high or use a footrest (I’m 5’5″ with quite short legs). I’ve been using it for a few weeks and am finding this setup much more comfortable. The desk is well built and pretty sturdy.
So, so happy with my standing desk. Wished I had of bought it sooner, it’s been fantastic to use. It was really easy to set up and attack my own Ikea table top to. It’s extremely well built and sturdy. I’ve got a laptop, lots of crystals, a salt lamp and Cricut machine on mine and there’s no issues at all. Would highly recommend.
Mine works well, I had the same impression as other reviewers, but in the last few weeks, the left leg has slowly drifted to 4mm different to the right. Is there some sort of recalibration mode, because the motor is starting to make a tired sound.
Excellent build quality. Very pleasantly surprised. Very little movement at highest position. Easy to assemble and good instructions.
Great quality, works like a charm. Simple to install by just one person. What a terrific product!
I am loving having a sit-stand desk and have wanted one for ages.
Like most people I spend a lot of hours on my ass at work and I knew it wasn’t doing me any good.
Having the ability to press a button and raise the desk to a standing position has completely changed that.
This is an investment in personal health.
Standing at a desk feels more active – not just physically but mentally too.
The desk has a heavy duty build to it. Approx 3mm thick metal plate is used.
It went together easily and took about an hour to build. Instructions are good.
There is some wobble at taller heights. Partly down to the carpet it’s sat on – but it doesn’t feel unsafe at all and doesn’t distract from working.
Overall I sing it praises to everyone who asks about it!
Very much liked the speed of this desk as I used to have a manual standing desk which I found very slow to wind up / down indeed. This one sadly isn’t quite as stable at the top of it’s range as it doesn’t have a crossbeam on the frame lower down but unless you need rock solid stability, it isn’t a massive issue. The memory presets are very useful too. This model doesn’t allow for corner style desktops (over 80cm in depth on the deepest part anyway) which is a shame as this would have given far more flexibility when choosing a desktop. Overall, it is a very good electric standing desk.
Perfect desk. We’ve had some IKEA ones in our office but Flexispot is considerably sturdier and more reliable, plus it comes with three memory options which is a nice option to have.
It’s early days but I’m delighted so far – seems like high quality construction, clear installation instructions, and a flexible design which should suit all kinds of offices. I coupled it with the KT1B keyboard tray for which the same comments apply.
I don’t build stuff too much and I don’t like building stuff either but I am so glad I bought these desk legs. I have just moved house into my first owned home and I work from home a lot – it is my office base if I am not travelling to customers. For this reason I am trying to get my study up and running and I wanted to get something high quality and healthy so I can stand or sit at the desk.
I ordered a solid oak kitchen worktop from a company called Worktop Express (I’m in the UK) and these legs. They arrived on Saturday and I assembled them yesterday. Good, clear instructions, high high quality materials and (using my powertool) it was assembled in 20 minutes.
You do need two people for some parts, just to hold the legs etc. so they don’t fall as you screw parts together but I am extremely pleased with the result!
I’ve actually been an Amazon shopper for several years & have bought many products but never left a review (I know, I know I’m a bad person)… But after buying this frame I just felt compelled to share my thoughts because honestly I absolutely love it. I was getting tired of sitting down all down feeling like a slob but at the same time I didn’t want to be forced into standing all day either… So I bought this, and it’s just perfect. It came nicely packaged & it was very easy to setup… Took me around 1 hour which included drilling holes in table top (as I sourced a different one from elsewhere to suit my needs). Now I’ve got my positions saved into it, so on a morning I sit down for a couple of hours – then come 12 o clock I hit the button, raise it up & stand for the rest of the day. It’s REALLY solid – and even when it moves up/down it does so just fine with a full cup of tea on the desk 😉 really chuffed with this purchase… But a little tip – DO get a standing mat as well, they might be expensive but 100% worth it.
I’d considered getting an Ikea sit/stand desk, but balked at the price, I’m please I waited until now. The Flexispot desk frame is solid, well made, easy to put together (half an hour’s work) and operates smoothly and quietly. The programmable height memory is essential as well as useful – the desk rises and falls quite rapidly and it often overshoots the desired height when moving the top using the up/down buttons. When using the memory, the desk takes momentum into account and slows when it approaches the desired setting always stopping at the correct height. I fitted the frame with an Ikea desktop (Bekant) and now I have the perfect sit/stand workstation for my office at home.
Context: I’m a remote web developer so I spend a minimum of 40 hours a week at my desk at home.
TLDR: I absolutely love this desk so far, I was beginning to get back ache after a days work as it’s just easy to slump over in my chair. Since getting this desk I typically spend about half my day standing up and find it very comfortable and useful.
Stability: The desk itself is very stable even at full height, I live in a flat with carpeted floors and so there is a bit of wobble caused from the floor quality but if you set it up on a solid floor surface then you will have no issues, but on carpet it will have a bit of wobble admittedly.
Quality: All of the parts are great quality nothing feels skimped on.
Ease of setting up: it is very simple to put together but it will take about 30-45 mins as there’s a load of pieces to put together, instructions were great.
Performance: I have large speakers and multiple monitors on my desk and it handles movement swiftly and gracefully..
Unforeseen benefits: Friends all love seeing the desk move too!
I am enjoying using the Fexispot electric standing desk. All works per the product description. Set up instructions were clear, and it took an hour to attach the desktop I had bought.
Easy to put together and rises and falls well. Better than the one I have in work, and already made working from home bette
This is a great desk.
We used with a IKEA lid and was no issue – anyone with a screwdriver can construct it. Takes about an hour.
If your not using a Computer holder, you might need some USB extension cables for your keyboard and mouse.
The motor is good and true. Can lift a whole human (we tried) and its heavy and sturdy.
Wobble at high heights is there, but minimal and well within my torrances.
The nice touches is the cable tidy areas, which make the difference. When the desk is high you need this otherwise it just looks a mess. Its these small buts which make this a 5 star. Good value.
I work from home and I’ve been after a sit-stand desk for a while after trialing one at my company’s main offices. The Flexispot desk was even better than what I had previously used. The assembly is easy with clear instructions and desk moves in both directions both smoothly and quietly. I’m really impressed and have started recommending it to my co-works who also work from home.
This came in a compact but heavy box. It survived transport as it is packed excellently with the heavy items tightly contained in a solid dense expanded polystyrene custom packing which stopped any movement. The instructions are intelligible, and the bolts/small components all contained in a single labelled by each type, compartmentalised polythene bag and included all the tools need for assembly. All load bearing bolts are allen key machined screws.
Assembly was simple and took 30 minutes for myself and my teenage son to complete. Quality of steel parts is excellent, and both placement of connections and screw holes aligned perfectly. The weight of the package is clear once the item is assembled. Its strong and solid.
The cable management trays included are easily removable from the bottom so can be accessed without removing the desktop. There is enough space, even is its narrowest setting, to place a 4 gang extension in one side inside the cable management portion.
The two motors are contained on the top portion of each leg and connect to the central control box using expensive Molex type connectors. The control unit is also connected to the control box which fits into the cable tray within the frame — it also connects with an RJ45 connector. Controls are simple and effective with height measurement display and memory settings available. Operation is simple, smooth and quiet. Width extension is easy with allen key bolts holding the extensions firmly.
The fact that you can procure your own top or select optional ones allow this to be a very flexible platform for all sorts of usages. There are also accessories to manage cables and hold keyboards beneath the desktops.
Very please with the choice and looking at the quality this is good value especially when you factor in the options given to the purchaser for varied use and flexibility.
I first came across standing desks in 2014 while working in Sweden and I realised then how much better I felt after spending about half my working day standing rather than sitting. Finally I noticed this at a price I could reasonably afford for my home office. So far, I am delighted with this product.
Assembly of the enclosed parts was extremely easy and done in much less than an hour. What took me more time was transferring the desktop and routing the cables to the electronic kit so they did not constrain the desk movement. In the end, I drilled a 50mm hole in the desktop and mounted a 6-way adaptor on the underside: leaving just a single cable to connect to the wall socket. I would have found it quicker/easier if the products’ cable management plate was 25mm or so deeper.
I have a 1400x800mm top and use the desk mainly at heights of 710mm (sitting) and 1100mm (standing). Even at standing height it is plenty stable enough for personal office use. (It would not be stable enough as my workbench but is obviously not intended for that). The memory setting is helpful since if I did accidentally raise the desk to its full height of 125cm it would rip one of my shelves off the office wall!
Product description was accurate so my expectations were met. Frame is not noisy and it’s fast. Easy to assemble. Compact packaging. In highest position there are some minor shaking but expected due to a 30 kg weight on 125 cm high.
This is a great standing desk, easy to use, robust and stable. Very heavy on delivery so you may need help moving the box from the doorstep to your office but once there it’s easy to assemble and set up.
I’;m using an old Ikea desktop on mine, no need to buy the specific top.
This product is excellent. It’s thick set steel with only plastics being around the electrical and data cables from the controller to the motor unit and the ~10cm disk feet to protect the carpet. I attached a nice 44.5kg slice of zebrano to the top. It’s 2m long and 72cm deep. I’m about 190cm tall and when stood on the floor, have it set to 1M8cm to be correctly adjusted.
If I add a treadmill below, I’ll be at the highest it will go.
Take the height of a treadmill in to account it you are going to use one to ensure you stand correctly at the desk.
I have a couple of monitors, steel 30cm high speaker stands and pair of active monitors laptop and papers, and it works beautifully, except when it’s at the top, the weight of all the gear and the lid mean it wobbles if you push it. I am picky and don’t consider it a problem given the device is within limits.
Fast travel, memory settings so just push a button to stand up or sit down, we’ll be buying a lot more of these.
Great electric standing desk, just the job for me! Easy to assemble (around 40 mins) and looks awesome with my wooden kitchen worktop from ikea!
Arrived in 2 days, simple to put to together (about 1/2 hr for the frame) got a friend to make a Birch ply top (I went for the biggest 2m by 0.8m). It works perfectly and I now use it at various heights and my back and posture are already benefiting.
I don’t usually write reviews but felt I had to with this product. It is extremely sturdy even at full height (too high for me and I’m 6′ 6″. Very simple to put together and has quite a classy look. I used a 6 foot by 4 foot pine kitchen table top and have a large tower PC, 27″ screen and a Xerox laser printer (along with a lot of smaller stuff) on top. It has no problem lifting that lot! Highly recommended if you want a quality standup desk!
Arrived quickly, easy to assemble. Took my desktop well and works perfectly.
I have set a sitting height and a standing height so I only have to press a button and it glides up or down quietly and smoothly. Love it. Charles
The frame is sturdy and easy to assemble. All the necessary keys are given so you don’t need any of your own tools. The max and min height are more than enough for any person. I don’t like to the fact that the table top is expensive, but for now I reused my previous table top. What I take away is that the free monitor holder is advertised but it is not posted to you. You have to find a way to email the company first, then they will reply with a voucher code that you can use to make another order on amazon.
Great desk, better than Ikea’s stand desk, I like the alarm, and the memory presets – can’t complain.
I am very happy with this purchase. Initially I was not looking forward to trying to put this together as there are some quite heavy pieces. However, everything goes together easily and without too much fuss. It took me about 2-3 hours to put together and I attached it to my old desks table top no problem.
Having pre set heights is great as I am only really wanting to have it at 2 different heights. The motors lift and lower the desk with ease and everything feels and looks smooth and solid. I have it holding 2 27 inch monitors and a mounting bracket and it takes the weight comfortably.
If you are considering an electric desk defo get this one, I paid 360 and it was delievered in 2 days.
Just installed it but so far very impressed with the quality of the table legs.
The frame is really heavy which reflects its quality construction. It was quite fun to put together as it was easy and all the tools come with it. The hardest part was screwing the desk top on (sold separately).
I bought the 3 stage version which moved very smoothly. The 3 memory buttons are really useful because I set 1 for an ordinary sit-down desk, and 2 and 3 for different standing heights for two people.
Delivery was 5 days late – Amazon said it was with the courier (DPD) and the courier said Amazon hadn’t given it to them. Worth the wait though.
I can highly recommend this desk. Remember to check your computer’s power and network cable is long enough before you raise the desk!
This is awesome!
I wanted one of these for ages now and I’m disappointed I’ve waited this long. Yes, for a desk it is expensive, but the freedom to set a perfect height is well worth it. I’ve managed to find a nice, discounted kitchen worktop and now have a desk 180x90cm. If you are on the fence whether to buy this or not. Go ahead, you will not be disappointed.
I opted for a two motor black version. It’s a slightly louder than the IKEA one, but it’s not loud and given the savings, I don’t care.
The only minor inconvenience is the fact that there are only 26 screws (type B in the installation guide) and if you want to have the desk fully extended (to support long desk top) you need an additional 6 screws. Again, this is a minor issue, but it takes that tiny bit of shine from the experience.
This has changed the way I work. Working at a desk was giving me real aches and pains. Swapping between sitting an standing at the touch of the button makes my working day more enjoyable, healthier and gives me more energy. A bit on the pricey side, but a valuable investment.
This is an amazing product – straightforward to put together following instructions and amazing to transfer own desktop over, screw on and then see it working – awesome !! (Now just need the discipline to stand up a bit each day 😉 )
Have been using this for a few weeks now, it’s great. They work fine, a fairly quiet purr as they go up and down.
About the panel. It displays the height in cm & mm when less than 100 cm (screen can display 3 digits, so 60.0 up to 99.9) when 100 cm or above it shows in only cm (100 – 120) and the decimal point goes away.
To change position, you can press and hold the preset button for a second, until it starts moving, then let go and it will continue until it reaches the position. Or you can press a button once to wake the panel, then again to start the movement.
When it gets close to the final position it slows down and then stops. But you can press any button at any point to stop it right away.
It did get caught once, but it stopped moving and just needed a reset. It is strong, stable etc. I have sat on it and gone all the way up and down without problem (I weigh about 75KG).
Bear in mind, it’s very heavy in the legs. So you will need someone to help you move it (unless you’re a beast). Mines on carpet, so I can’t even adjust the position by pushing it.
Very Very stable.
Very Very easy to install.
Very Very happy.
A surprisingly good standing desk pair of legs, the width is adjustable and it seems happy to take up to a meter of depth. I currently have it paired with a cheap 60cm x 2m Ikea table top.
Great legs. Well packed and easy to assemble.
It is really solid. Goes up and down nice and fast and is quite stable even when fully extended.
The memory function is really useful but I bit annoying that the display turns off after a while which means you end up having to press the button twice once to wake the unit back up and once more to actually change the height.
Highly recommend this height adjustable desk base. Extremely well made and sturdy. Prompt delivery service.
This product is made in China (probably few brand using same frame for their branded desks). I was surprised with the frame quality. The quality of metal parts is superb. All is very stiff and solid. Putting it together will take around 1 – 2 hours. Getting a frame and then choosing a desk top is better solution than buying full desk (for me it was 100 cheaper, you can get a desk top with low price). Comes with all necessary screws. The noise is very low, you can use it at night and it is not annoying (in fact quite pleasant hum).
Highly Recommended!
Really good frame, well made, 3 programmable heights and easy to put together.
It’s pretty quiet as well.
Simple to assemble (screws packaged in A B C D packets for easy recognition). Plus it’s sturdy at height which was my main concern when looking to buy. It’s easily supporting 3 monitors and a Mac Pro – I’m very happy with it. Video attached.
