Garmin 35 GPS delivers all it promises.
Uncomplicated and easy to use. Ideal for the runner who only wants to know how long, how far and how fast?

Good starter watch to get used to having one
Great for a starter smart watch as it does all the basics I need it to do. Only gripes are it’s not touch screen but you rather need to use buttons to navigate it, and it’s impossible to unscrew the watch straps if you’d like to change the colour etc. Otherwise very very dece

    Love my Garmin watch 😍
Actually, I bought this (with a few others) for my friend’s birthday in Oct.. she didn’t think she wanted a watch (happy with tracking on her phone) but she’s loving it now. I’ve had mine for about 5yrs, I love it so much that I’ve recommended it to all my female running friends! It’s perfect for what I want.. tracks my runs, steps, heart rate, alarm and the phone connection has been helpful. It’s so lightweight and comfy.. I wear it all the time, only taking it off to charge every 7-10 days. Excellent purchase.

    Better than my G235
Better all round fitness tracking than my 235. This can track rowing, walking, running etc. Great value.

Everything you need, even for serious runners.
I run approximately 200-250 miles per month, and this watch is a blessing. All I really need are pace and some superficial heart metrics, as training is mostly done by feel. This watch has everything I need and Strava upload is as easy as it could be. I don’t use Sleep, Messaging or any other function, simply because this is a pure running “stopwatch” and all you really need to train consistently on the road.

It does everything I need it to do plus more. Warning, do not use it in water.

Great gift for the runner in your life
Bought this as a gift for my wife who has recently taken up running. She loves it. Records all her runs and uploads them to her running app. Much more accurate than using her phone.

    Works for me
I don’t need an all-singing, all-dancing device. This watch is excellent if you just want the basics

    Absolutely brillia
This is a running watch for people who want to track their running. Not people who want to check the NASDAQ on a tiny screen while climbing mount Everest etc. The screen is on continuously so don’t have to wave your arm about to get it to show on. It is really simple to use and the display is HUGE. I bought an Amazfit watch which I had to send back as it was completely useless, but this has absolutely everything you need to track your runs, bike rides, heart rates and download them to your PC. If I had designed a running watch with all the facilities I wanted I couldn’t come up with anything better than this. Well done Garmin!

    Great Prese
We bought this as a birthday present for our daughter and it appears to have been a great success. She was very very pleased. Only downside is she never stops going on about how great it is and what it can do. We may have made a mistake! Not possible to rate features as we have no idea.

My first experience of a fitness watch and overall a very positive one. Works well and syncs info to your phone. Battery life is good.

Superb item and value for money..
Superb item I’m no ultra athlete or competing in the Olympics, just needed a good watch with various functions to track distance – steps – heart rate etc.. Really comfy and light to wear and actually smaller than I thought it would be, that’s a good thing not bad.
I originally bought one for my, so impressed 1 day later I bought another for me..
Also the Garmin app,is excellent really impressed. So all in all a very happy customer..

Mainly good, as a runners watch
Bought this for my wife for her Birthday. After reading many reviews for this and similar products. it represented good value for money, as I got it for a good price, because its not the latest and greatest model from Garmin. It does most things well and gives my wife a lot of useful date about her running stats, distance etc. The heart rate monitor is a bit strange though as, for most of her run, it keeps telling her it too low!

Software update may spoil Bluetooth communicatio
Battery life is around 6 days so far with Bluetooth turned on long enough to upload activity. Indications are clear which is essential for eysight which is less acute than it used to be. Accuracy of GPS is better than my old Forerunner 305 and HR monitor seems accurate. Info compiled on Connect is extensive. If you have a problem with Bluetooth uploading to Connect, delete all activity records on watch except those which have not been uploaded and try again. I’ve used the watch for about twenty activities as well as all day use and so far I am quite pleased.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great entry level smart watch
Pair this watch up with the garmin connect and strava app and youve got a good smart watch. only bad point is I think its sqaure shape is ugly.

    Itching to wear this watch
I paid over 100 for this watch, everything it does is satisfactory but, the manufacturers could have put a better buckle on the strap. It is obviously a cheap metal, not even plated, which now makes my skin itch. Otherwise I am completely happy. Come on Garmin, don’t be cheapskates. !!

An improvement over the Forerunner 30 for slightly less money
I bought this as a replacement for my wife’s Forerunner 30, on which the strap broke. There seems to be a fault with some of these Garmin’s, the strap failed on her 30 within a few weeks of purchase and was replaced by Garmin, then failed again and was replaced with a compatible version. Now the actual bracket on the body of the watch has broken off, meaning it can no longer be replaced, hence this upgrade.

So the 35 is a bit of a step up, but not much. It has some nice new features such as a cycling option, which is useful, especially for a runner who does like to take her cycle out from time to time. She also likes the lap feature on the display which she says is useful. It seems to sync quite quickly with her mobile too, an added bonus. A minor downside is that it was only available in black and the deal price.

I thought the price was pretty good, she actually paid less for the 35 than she’d paid for the 30 a couple of years or so ago. If the strap holds out on this one it will have been a good buy.

    Comfort and practicality
Great motivational tool to get me back out and exercising again. Ive hooked it up to the garmin app so I can log my activities and I enjoy the heart rate monitor and heart rate zones to try to maintain optimal performance.
Its a great piece of kit for under 100

5.0 out of 5 stars Great watch
Great watch for a good price. It has come on in leaps and bounds over the last few years. Has all the functionality the amateur athlete could ever need.

    Great watch
Had this watch for almost two years now. Never had any problems with it. It holds its charge for quite sometime. If I do a few runs in a week it’ll need charging once a week. So far it’s been great and done what it’s supposed to. The strap was replaced a couple of months ago due to the rubber hoop that holds the strap in place snapped off. Easily replaced the strap.

    The perfect budget GPS watch
Garmin Forerunner 35 is the perfect choice to accompany you on runs and other outdoor adventures. It represents superb value for money.

The Forerunner 35 offers more or less everything you’d want from a sports watch. It can track running, cycling and walking via GPS and there’s also a mode for indoor activity. Like all Garmin’s fitness wearables, it’ll also count your steps, calories burned, “intensity minutes” and distance travelled throughout the day. An optical heart-rate monitor keeps tabs on your pulse both during exercise and at rest; wear it overnight and it’ll log your time spent in different sleep stages.

There’s also a few specialist running features that not all GPS-enabled trackers offer: you can set a virtual pacer, and track your cadence (step count per minute) as you run. Pair it with your phone and the Forerunner 35 delivers notifications to your wrist, and syncs all of your fitness data to the Garmin Connect app, where you can spend hours poring over it.

Smartwatches, fitness trackers and sports watches come in a wide range of shapes and sizes. The Fitbit Flex is sleek and tough, but it could easily be mistaken for a friendship bracelet. At the other end of the scale, there’s the elegant Apple Watch 4, which also includes a generous 44mm screen — if you’re willing to pay.

In this market, the Forerunner 35 is somewhat within its own category. It’s a very basic-looking device, but I find this quite agreeably understated — less is more, as they say. The square shape also sits nicely on the wrist, so it’s comfortable to wear. The front is taken up by a compact 23.5mm screen; this is only monochrome, but it’s sharp enough to clearly show your incoming messages.

    Pros
    -Cheap
    -Excellent GPS tracking
    -Long battery life
    -Supports ANT+ sensors

    Cons
    -No swim tracking
-Lacks newer features such as stress tracking

    Simple enough for me!
This is perfect for me. Not too complicated to get going with it. I only use the basics but the display is really clear – distance, time, pace – all easy to read while running. And that’s really what I need to know. Good summary at the end of the run. Lots of strap length adjustments. I’ve used it for about a week now and love it. Very light. My only concern (and it may not happen) is that the strap is light (thinner than it looks on the picture) and may wear out beore the watch does ….? Charger is small and convenient. Overall, very happy!

Great Garmin tracker at a reasonable price
Having previously used a lower priced alternative from another supplier, I am delighted with this Garmin device.
Used in conjunction with the Garmin Connect app, it gives you all the stats most people would want.
If you are a Vitality Health member, it also synchronises seamlessly with their app to give you qualifying activity points

It’s a great device for what it is
I really liked this device as a very basic fitness tracking device. Found it to be efficient and relatively accurate. But it is very basic.
It is not a smart phone. It’s very good for what it is, very simple to set up and use which suited me but I am totally NOT clued up on latest devices and not confident setting these sorts of things up but I found this even too basic for my needs so returned it and upgraded to the Garmin VENU which is (in my humble opinion) absolutely fantastic!

Overall decent quality watch at an affordable price
I have had this watch for just over a year. Overall I am happy with it. Given that it is bottom of the range in terms of price, it’s hard to complain. It does what it needs to – as a runner I use it for tracking duration and pace of runs and heart rate. Though the heart rate function is rather suspect at times. There have been times – possibly half a dozen in total out of hundreds – where the stats have been completely inaccurate and unreliable. However, it is rare and so generally I say it is pretty good for the price.

Lightweight watch that’s very easy to use!
Very light watch. Great that it has a HRM within the watch so I don’t have to wear the chest strap. Easy to sync to Garmin app and Strava. Seeing who’s calling my phone and sending messages on the watch is a plus!

I have received the item back from repair on 22-12-2020, I sent the item in the purchase box with all packaging and the charger, the item has arrived in a bag minus the box, packaging and charger. The item will not turn on and I have no charger to charge.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat basic running watch
I bought this watch for some basic running functions and for the fact that it was a really good price on amazon. Garmin generally has the most accurate gps and having a watch specifically for running is much better than using my Apple Watch or Strava on my Apple Watch. The functions are good and just what you need- I’m a pretty regular runner and i don’t see why I would need a higher priced model. 5 stars.

Reliable, easy to use and does everything I need.
I bought this watch in Feb 2018. Still going strong and would definately recommend it. Easy to use and link to Garmin connect online and Strava. I have just had to replace the strap a couple of times through wear and tear. Can use for cardio, walking, cycling and running. I use it for running. It has various useful modes to help motivate and track performance. Had a forerunner 10 before this which I liked but this is worth the extra cost.
