It’s great, much better than the others out there we tried and returned, it sticks well and is a good quality with many fittings, it’s easy to change the colour, brightness, etc. in the app and it’s bright enough, it does reduce eye strain and make the tv much more comfortable to watch
This is about my fifth set of led light. In almost every aspect its the best. The ease of set up is flawless. Works great with Bluetooth and the smart phone app. The supplied remote is limited to 3 shortcut colour buttons. That’s a bit of a pain there are 2 buttons for scrolling through the colours that helps. The only problem I have is evert now and again it start flashing and changing colours. This is either caused by us using our smart phones or using one of the 2 remotes that came with our Sam’s Q9 television. I will eventually get the time to sort out what’s causing the flashing lights. Thus would not stop me being this product again. Great value. Great quality & ease of setup makes this a very recommendable product. Christopher Smith
Easy to set up and control, mixed with different effects and brightness it’s a pretty cool set of lights to have, I use mine on the tv that’s on a feature wall and it really brings out the colour making the entire room look great.
So one thing to mention you are not going to get an all singing dancing light strip similar to Philips hue. It is a basic lightstrip which creates a nice backlighting when watching tv.
That said, it does come with a few little effects such as responding to sound so you can have the lights flash to music.
The lightstrip fitted perfectly onto the back of my 55” TV and no need to take up an extra plug socket to power this thing, instead it comes with a usb power unit that plugs straight into your tv.
One thing I found a little disappointing was that you can have just the lightstrip on without the tv being on. Someone may correct me here if this is possible but I couldn’t work it out.
For the price this is a decent, well made bit of kit so I would recommend it.
I love these so much. They stick on tight, and there’s so many options for colours etc. honestly absolutely so worth the money!!

It’s a good back light for the TV has alot of different colours and light modes to change according to music playing only downside is the brightness isn’t that great it did however fit round the back of my 50’inch TV perfectly.

Sticks very nicely and easy to fit, would recommend taking tv off wall bracket if you have one as makes it much easy to install, plenty long enough for my 55″ tv. Just had to turn off lights then back on again as instructions do mention,as not very bright when first turned these on but now perfect.

Bought these for my 50″ TV for the bedroom they fitted perfect plenty of light from them also small remote works a treat . These would fit a bigger TV . Anyway get these bought you won’t be disappointed
Brightness was good. Lights didn’t fail or dimmer even after a year. But the when this device was plugged into my tv it started to make the tv and apps crash. This device worked well for a year with my tv and switched off when my tv was off. But then started to stay on after tv was off. Became a liability after a while and I had to stop using it.

Looks great when it’s on. Just a couple of small things I’m not happy with. Some of the colours are not that bright and fluorescent purple doesn’t look like that colour at all. The app to control the light is not the best too. The auto model doesn’t seem to work.
Easy to stick to the back of the TV, lots of colours to choose from and easy to use. Only down side is the colour changes by itself when you choose netflix/YouTube ect which is abit of a pain.
I bought this to attach to my PC monitor. Did the job. No more dry eyes. Recommended. I’d of liked to have been able to cut it, but there you are.
Was a little reluctant in buying the product with past experience (different make) but took the plunge, very surprised, definitely recommend .

Yeah, havin tried many different lights like this for behind tvs, these are by far the best. Firstly they actually stick to back of the telly, usually have to tape the wires on. And the wee remote is great, alot of different settings. Music mode is great to, when getting the rave on.
Great on TV love them remote or app control .many varying modes and colours. Would recommend , come with corners for TV where others don’t and they tend to fall off
Very good. Sticks very easily, doesn’t peel off like cheap brands, and is customisable through the app.
This item is good for the price you pay but when using the music mode the lights dont really corespond to the beat/music otherwise it matches its price
Put these on the back of our TV about six months ago, and to date they are still glued to it as the first day – great adhesion! The colors are very bright and beautiful, and it’s so lovely to use while listening to music!

Bought for the bedroom tv. And took literally seconds to fit it. There was no need for extra tape to sick to tv. As the lead stuck fast. The remote control is easy to use. Loving the music mode on it. But feel sad now. Because the bedroom backlight is better than the living room one. So definitely going to order the same again. The brightness can be turned up or down so thats a definite plus. 10/10
Lots of colors. High brightness. My only problem was the sound sensor, it works but it detects even the quietest sounds like breathing,I tried to set the sensitivity lower but it remained the same.
Happy with the product, enough length to do four sides on a 55″ TV, the self adhesive strips seem adequate at present. Comes with a remote control but the app makes controlling the functions easier, lots of colours & settings to experiment with. The brightness could be a bit better, some of the colours looked a bit washed out with any other light source on the room, otherwise a good purchase & reasonably price.
The music sync is okay not the most responsive the sticky stuff is okay all around a great product

The app is great allows me to control my lights within a certain radius using my phone. Quite a few different options including a community section where users can upload their own lighting effects and share them to others. The remote control works as intended. The brightness is quite good too.
I love these lights. They were so easy to install. The remote works well, but it’s so much better when you use the Govee app as it has more modes and more colours to choose from.
I had the perfect product selected and Amazon suggested the ‘newer version’ and it turns out the smallest TV it was suitable for was 46 inch. I have a 42 inch TV, always 4 inches too short…if you know what I mean, and the set up is janky but it works.
Bit annoyed that Amazon did me over like that. Make sure you check your TV size and check what size the product is suitable for.
Govee lights are flawless though, colours are great, levels of brightness great
I have a Samsung TV and the back of it have a texture feel so the adhesion isn’t that great but that’s not the products fault at all. Inline remote is great and the little remote that comes with it great also. Haven’t used the app and probably won’t right now.
This product really immerses the TV into another dimension and easy on the eye in all brightnesses from about 3 metres away.
Didn’t find it bright enough, might be better if you wall mount it, if on a TV cabinet like mine you’ll have to push it all the way back to the wall to make the most of it. Only 5 securing clips provided.
You need at least 7, that’s 2 for each corner bar the one where the controller is which could suffice with 1 clip.
3.8 stars, needs a bit more brightness and 7 clips but I’m a harsh reviewer.
So many colour combinations to choose from. Very easy to fit, they really make the TV screen pop. I’ve also found my eyes don’t feel as tired in the evening when I use the white light. Highly recommended.
I like them, they brighten up the dark corner behind the TV and provide atmosphere if on sound activated. Remote control has to be waved about to get it to work but hey, not the end of the world.
Great lights. however the remote started to control my soundbar, so used the app instead and it worked perfectly.

Works well with the phone app. I bought a similar item to illuminate under the stairs then noticed the TV one was a bit dim. I contacted Govee and they sent a free replacement without hesitation. Customer services replied promptly. Would recommend buying from Govee.
Well I can’t say a bad thing about govee they are the best rgb led lights I’ve ever brought and I wouldn’t buy any other make now, they stick really well to the surface without extra glue needed, they are bright, clear and the app you can use is great as you can see it the photo I’ve used them around my TV and I’ve also fitted a second set within the TV unit .. I’d honestly say don’t buy any other make
Great addition to my sons room as a gaming set up. Annoying for me as he now wants a mouse, a keyboard, another monitor, a you tube account and he also wants to become a you tuber! Who is this person in my house? Not seen him for days
Good light strip, could be a bit more bright and have more function but overall really good!
Easy to install. not quite as bright as I thought, but adequate.
These look great and work well. Price is very reasonable. Only reason for only giving 4 stars is brightness seems to drop to 1% every couple of days and you have to go back into the app and turn it up again. Not sure if it was designed to do this to preserve the life of the LEDs but I wish it would just start on the brightness level I set.

I bought this set of lights as a feature light on my old 42″ TV. Whilst this TV is smaller than the prescribed size for these lights, being an older TV with a larger border than more recent units it still fits well. You can see from the pictures how it fits around the back edge. It stuck very well. The light effect is great – I have it set at brightest white and it gives a good halo effect. The TV sits a distance away from the wall (as you can see in the photos) so the halo is not quite the same as you will see on a wall-mounted TV. The 3rd photo is not in any way representative of the actual colour of the back wall or the LED light.
A bit fiddly to fit but otherwise very pleased with the product.

I have no idea what the people with 1* are doing? I was concerned with people saying it looks washed out if there are any other lights in the room, well not true in my case. We have Philips hue throughout the house and even on full brightness its still visible, in daylight too.
Again, perfect for the price. Took 10 mins to fit.

Nearly perfect. Just a shame they go off when turning tv off and the remote is very small.
Really happy with this purchase, gives a beautiful ambient to the living room. I love the remote control and the disco light effect especially when playing music. Love the different colours and the fact that they can be dimmed.
I like they are configured so there is no twisting or bending of the LED’s, they’ve stayed in place no fuss or messing about with them.
The instructions are clear and concise they could be a little brighter but that’s only my own opinion but they are a great buy.
Easy to setup as the adhesive is very good and a little forgiving if you get it lined up wrong. Brighter than I imagined in all colours. The only downside is the remote is the same as my Logik sound bar remote, when I use it my speakers go on mute, so I use the app instead.
The TV is a brand new JVC so I had hoped this would work with this light strip. Even so, the light strip can still be powered on/off with the remote even when the TV is in standby.
Overall this is a good product but not exactly what I had hoped for with the annoyance of having to switch it on and off remotely each time.

Easy to fit and control, the brightness is however limited. Led lights with a seperate power supply than the USB are far far brighter.

Easy to fit just make sure the surface your fitting to is clean.
The remote does the job but bear in mind the ir receiver needs line of sight,so will need to be poking out from the back of the tv for it to work.
This is a none issue for me as I use the app.
This pack does surround the back of the tv so as you unroll the strip you get a 50cm strip to 1m to 50cm to 1m.
You can also cut to size if you purchase some l shaped connectors.

Better quality that all others, decent well made app control and very good support who rectified the one off issue I had, over many purchases, extremely quickly.

Good quality product does what it says. No problems with adhesive sticking to the back of the TV and just the right length for my 50″ screen. The app is very easy to use. The down side is you have to have the room quite dark to get any effect, but when it is the effect is good.
I often thought lights behind the TV were a little OTT, but when I got my new 55 inch set I thought I would see what LED lights were like and if they made any difference to general viewing and ambience. So after an easy peasy install and 5 minutes of viewing, I thought why hadn’t I got LED’s much sooner than now. What a magical difference to watching tv, and so many different settings and colours to choose from. All I can say is go and get some LED’s yourself, you won’t regret it, I promise.
My boy got a big TV for his bedroom and asked for these light strips. They took about 5 mins to fit and have completely transformed his bedroom. The bright neon green while playing the xbox looks amazing. We’ll worth the money.
These lights were easy to install, good app,remote ok too just not long enough for 65 tv. They ended up on 43 tv in daughters bedroom where they work very well.
Easy to put up. Look good. One down side. Any remote pointed at these changes the settings.
Honestly, for the price the product does exactly what it should. If it’s a dark room then it’s great. A well lit room, not so great.

I’ve had a few of these type of lights, all my tvs have them fitted. These look nice, a good selection of bright and vivid tones alongside some more muted ones. Easy to fit. I like the corner sections which allow you to avoid bending the LED strip. Fits my 55inch Samsung tv nicely.
The app was easy to connect and the remote isn’t just cheap plastic but I found that the lights weren’t sticking at all, I pulled of the protective tape and tried to apply and a bit was sticky but not enough.
Don’t have as much variety in the DIY section of the app as my other 5m led light but for the price it’s pretty decent.
This is a very good brand to buy from, the delivery was prompt arrived in very neat packaging, the box contains everything you need to install correctly behind the tv you get clips with adhesive for tidying up any loose wires and the adhesive on the back of the light strip is very strong and keeps in place well which tbf I wasn’t expecting.
Some have mentioned that the size does not fit larger TVs well I have purchased a new 55″ tv and it fits just perfect round each side, if you place these right these will definitely fit up to a 55″ tv.
The remote is very small and could easily be lost but it does everything you need although I have downloaded the app and connected my lights via that as you have many more options, including being able to mix the colours and adjust the brightness the music sync option is fun when having music on.
Overall very impressed and a must have for anyone who wants a decent reliable brand of lights.

Very pleased with this product. It was an absolute upgrade for my telly. Easy installation, app controlled and the music mode is the bomb! Planning to purchase more of this for other areas of the house! I will look to get the Amazon Alexa compatible lights next time.

A note for the music function, I thought that the lights would flash according to the beat of the song but in fact it is not how it works, they flash even without music and always in the same order, but even so it is very cool!
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Simple to use with the app and plenty of options for the settings. Grandkids will love it for gaming
BUT after contacting them MONTHS later (after i found an issue section under profile in their GOVEE HOME APP) i’m happy to say all is working again. The problem was it seems to encrypt the Bluetooth connection between your phone and strip lights, so if you change your phone or reset it back to factory defaults then you will not be able to connect to your strip lights. Contacted Govee (through their app) in the evening, i received a reply the next morning saying they had reset it for me and asked me to retry connecting and indeed all was working again. *****
It works as described.
Initially, these are only about half as bright as my other LEDs (both on TV and in car). However, if you connect them to the Govee app, there is an option in settings to help increase the brightness – this is not mentioned in the booklet though, and was only pointed out by Govee, who got in touch when I’d left a negative review.
There are several sections where there are no LEDs, so you can turn the corners. My other TV LEDs don’t have this and I would have prefered these to be the same, which means you would get a greater glow all the way around – I had no issues doing corners with my other LEDs.
I like that they are supporting firmware with updates.
Overall, a worthy 4 stars – would have been 5 if the white was whiter (it’s a kind or pale blue) and there wasn’t sections of LEDs missing.
