This is the best camping inflatable mattress I have owned and had many. It is easy to inflate and inflates in a few minutes. We were surprised at how comfortable it was. My wife and I have been sleeping on it for a couple of weeks while remodeling. I put a little air in it once during that time and I’m not sure it really needed it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe previously used an IKEA mattress cut to fit vehicle when we went traveling. We need the extra space for family trip last July and wanted to get one we also could use or backpack hiking.
This is fairly easy to inflate-just be patient. Once you do, you will be so at ease with the reel of the fabric compared to an air mattress, as well as how the baffles support and cushion. Even on a hard surface!
I do not know I’m not on a real mattress in the middle of the night!
Super easy to remove air, too.

This fits perfectly in my tent no falling off sleeping pad, comfortable worth the extra weight. Not sure how you are to fill up the inflate bag to get this to fill in 7 times. My son blown up by mouth in very little time. He’s a Trumpet player so he may have a little more lung training then the average person. He became frustrated with the bag fill and completed filling faster on his own.

Bought this for a camping trip and when I first saw how you inflate it I thought it would take forever and be super frustrating but it was actually fast and easy. The mat is not super thick but it’s small and light and better than just sleeping on the ground. Works for me, I usually only go camping once a season. If you plan to use it a lot you might want something thicker.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWas doubtful about the pillow inflator but actually worked quite well. Getting all the air out and refolding for storage was bit of a challenge but not too bad. Considering it is pretty thin once inflated it actually was quite comfortable. Compact size for storage is a big plus.

Great mat for camping. I’ve tried air mattresses and can never get them to stay inflated all night. I tried the expensive ones from REI and they’re nice but VERY expensive so I ended up returning it after I bought and tried this one. This mat is double the size and 1/3 the price. Easy to inflate and pack. After testing it out in the living room, I bought a second one for my son.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this to replace a twin-size “self-inflating” sleep pad that I inevitably woke up next to, not on, every time I used it in my tent. So while I would not recommend this for 2 people, it worked great as a single sleeper for a couple nights. It is pretty easy to inflate – the inflating bag works well, and it is obvious when you are done because you literally can’t squeeze any more in. It took me 6 bagfuls to inflate it, and it held well – I was able to add maybe a 1/2 bagful the next night, but it wasn’t really necessary. If you want this in place of a traditional air-mattress, you will be disappointed. But if you just want something softer to sleep on as a step up from truly “roughing it”, it’s a great buy.

Inflates in seconds, folds right back up easily after deflated, perfect for compact travel. We also had a little issue with ours and had to have it replaced, they had one sent to us within 4 days of us contacting them, amazing customer service and product.

This Hikenture sleeping pad works perfectly with my rtt sleep system. It’s 4 inches of padding along with the 3inches of my Kingcamp self inflating double sleep pad make for a comfortable nite of rest. And it fits the dimensions of my rtt perfectly. I’m very impressed with the materials its made of. I liked this pad so much that I purchased the 76452 hikenture pad for use in the back of my 2019 Atlas (fits wheel well) as another sleep/ lounge option when the seats are down….very nice!

This little mattress pad is perfect for 2 people max. It’s easy to inflate and doesn’t let air out while you sleep. I will say it’s quite thin and not that comfortable but better than sleeping on the ground! Whenever I get thicker air mattresses they always deflate a bit during the night but this one doesn’t. I recommend it as a safe choice but don’t expect to be overly comfortable!

The only complaint I have is that the bag system for inflating does not work well. You’re better off just inflating with your mouth. Other than that, it’s very easy to travel with, comfortable to sleep on, and has a nice design.

I love the engenius method of filling the mattress, much easier than blowing into it, and no need for a battery powered pump. It is surprisingly comfortable for such a compact mattress, but I do have to refill it each day, but that only takes a couple of minutes each day. As good as any air mattress without the bulk. Highly recommended.

I received the HIKENTURE ultralight double sleeping pad in the color option “Blue”. It is accurate to the listing.

What I do like about this sleeping pad is how compact it is, when it is rolled it is compact, small, lightweight and great for traveling, hiking or camping.

This isn’t an overly thick sleeping pad, which is why it is able to be so compacted when packaged. It is definitely great for times when you want to take as little as possible on a camping or hiking trip.

I have only used ours once so far for one night sleeping in a tent. It did stay inflated and I had no issues with it.

The size of this sleeping pad is somewhere between a twin and queen mattress. I wouldn’t recommend it for a person taller than 5’8, to be honest, otherwise, your foot may dangle if you toss and turn at all. In my opinion, you’ll have to be slim if you plan on being comfortable while sharing this sleeping surface. With that out of the way, I really like this sleeping pad and it’s definitely affordable and high quality. It is convenient and thoughtful that the pump bag is included so that the product is usable right out of its packaging. It is simple to inflate using the included pump bag and it won’t wind you but I just happen to be lucky enough to own an electric air pump which allowed me to inflate this thing in 90 seconds flat. I can vouch that it does deliver on a quiet night’s sleep, it is lightweight, and it is water-resistant. Set up and pack up is quick and easy. This product is rugged and durable and I anticipate it lasting me a long time. I slept on this sleeping pad (alone) for two nights and it remained firm and I didn’t need to reinflate it. I appreciate that the customer service contact is easily accessible and can be found in multiple places if needed. For safekeeping, you will find the customer service contact on the sleeping pads storage bag. That’s how I know that this company takes their customer service seriously. This is a quality product and the manufacturers clearly stand proudly behind their product.

I ordered this double light weight mat to use while camping. I really like the idea that I didn’t have to use a pump to blow this up.

This mat comes in a carrying bag which is quite handy.

This mat can be blown up with the bag provided however it took me more than seven bags full of air. The day I did this it was not windy outside so I decided to inflate this inside in my kitchen. I was getting about half a bag of air every time and used that.

This bag can be filled by using the bag provided, but obviously it is faster if you use a pump.

I didn’t find this mat suitable for two adults. It is just shy of 4 feet wide. I took a picture of my child laying in the middle of the mat for reference, he is eight.

The mat is quite comfortable and does hold the air well. To deflate all you have to do is open the cover on the hole and stick your fiber in it to depress the rubber flap.

It is a nice quality mat. It is soft and comfortable.

At the time I ordered this it was priced at $88.79. I think that is a little pricey considering the size of this mat.

Can be done with the provided bag but it takes a while

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersComfortable and light. The first night we felt we over inflated as it was too firm but the second night it was perfect because it stretched.I left the mattress in my camper inflated for almost a month and didn’t have to top off the air. It packs up very small, and while I personally prefer the foot pump over the air bag system, it works fine to inflate it. It seems robust. It makes noise when you move around on it, but I believe most inflatable camp mattresses do.

    FIRST IMPRESSION/CONTENTS:
The Ultralight Double Sleeping Pad/Camping Mattress from HIKENTURE arrived with carrying satchel, repair kit, instructions and an inflator bag.

Like the single version, out of the satchel, this is compact. Simply unroll it and add air and you’re good to go.

What I like about this type of mattress is that it has numerous small pockets instead of one giant sack. This allows for less “sinking” and “rolling” as well as cuts down on noise, which is always good when you’re sharing. Further, the smaller pockets also help keep you warmer since you’re not constantly moving large pockets of air around.

Although this is thin when inflated (~2.5″), it’s still relatively comfortable, though side sleepers may find it a challenge if they lay between the pockets. It’s worth keeping in mind that you’re camping, so expectations of “comfortable” aren’t as high as in a hotel room. For me, I’ll take this over bare ground any day. Another bonus to being only 2.5″/smaller pockets is that it doesn’t take long to fill. The airhole is large, so no sore cheeks. It uses a larger rubber stopper to close the hole. When deflating, simply remove the stopper, pull out the black rubber flap and roll it up. With respect to inflating, this comes with an inflator bag. I hadn’t seen one up to now, what a great invention! Of course, you’ll break no speed records using it, but it can help save your energy and lungs for other activities, and asthmatics will certainly appreciate it. Simply open the bag, close it, and roll it and it fills the mattress (check out the pictures). Rinse and repeat until filled.

That said, having numerous smaller pockets may be better for sound, comfort and such, but there is a price – deflating takes additional effort as you have to work on removing the air from said pockets. Outside of that, this thing does what it was intended to do, and does it well. It’s also lightweight and takes up very little space.

Another nice touch I should mention is that the drawstring on the satchel has reflective fiber woven into it which makes it easier to find/stand out at night when the light hits it. The mattress are has a repair kit hidden in a small pocket inside the satchel!

All and all, this mattress is great for camping, and for use with overnighting guests.

I hope you found this review helpful to your decision making.

At 2.8lbs for a pad for two, this is definitely a contender for a backpacking trip, though I’d want to flip a coin on who will be the one hauling it on their back! But the weight is definitely not bad; plus it packs quite small and can be stuffed into a carry bag which is nice.
It’s not super thick but most backpacking mats aren’t – this part would be comparable to other mats out there.
Inflating is reasonably easy, and deflating it and packing it is definitely not a problem at all.
At just under $80, this mat gets thumbs up from me!

This review is for HIKENTURE Ultralight Double Sleeping Pad, Camping Mattress 2 Person (blue), $69.99 after $10 coupon

This sleeping pad appears to be very good quality. It’s actually navy blue which is even better than the picture.

    Pros:
    – quite comfortable/warm to sleep on
    – I had mine inflated for days and it didn’t leak
    – lightweight, perfect for camping

    Cons:
    – my other sleeping pad had a built-in foot pump and it was super easy to inflate it. In comparison, this sleeping pad needs to use the air pump sack, which is not very convenient. Actually, I gave up in the end and just mouth inflated it; it worked just fine
    – it’s not wide enough for two adults
    – doesn’t have a built-in pillow

  34. DevonJessep says:

I like the inclusion of a manual pump bag which is a life saver when an electrical outlet is not within reach or accessible; It’s nice to not have to pack an separate air electrical pump or fill the mattress using my lungs. It took me less than 20 minutes to inflate the mattress and return it into the bag after being deflated.

I appreciate that the instruction guide has visual representations of what I am supposed to do; It made the setup process much easier to understand. With the small inner black rubber flap down inside, I didn’t have any leakage of air while I was using the manual pump bag.

During inflation, I did notice the mattress does shrink to a smaller overall size; I am 5ft 6″ tall and this mattress has just enough length for me to lie down without any overhang. It’s pretty comfortable once inflated close to the maximum firmness possible; The material feels synthetic and didn’t feel too rough to the touch.

Construction wise, the material isn’t too thick; I recommend not letting kids jump or use this mattress to free fall onto. I don’t find this too cumbersome to carry and everything fits in the bag if I deflate the mattress carefully.

    HIKENTURE Ultralight Double Sleeping Pad

The inflatable mattress is true to size and weight: Just under 3 pounds/ 1250g with case/inflator. If you carry a backpack, a foam roll is lighter. For drive-to camping, however, this is a decent upgrade that will level out many of the lumps! The inflator works. The mattress material is sturdy and can be washed. The mattress can be inflated to preference.

This is a decent bit of kit that makes roughing it a little less rough! As such, as long as you’re not trying to lighten your load for a long hike, this is a nice-size mattress worth considering.

Even comfier than a regular air mattress. So easy to inflate and it stores away nicely.

  38. Anonymous says:

    Cons:
-It doesn’t have much height to it.. you don’t always touch the ground when laying on it, but if you push your elbow down or something like that.. you’ll feel the ground.
-It’s a bit pricey for the lack of padding.. but if you’re an extreme camper that needs a mattress that is super small and compact to carry around, this is probably a good deal for you.
-I’m a bigger fan of the other pump up methods for these types of mattresses where you step on them to pump them up.

    Now, the pros:
-It inflates super quick with an air pump
-It deflates and rolls up in 30 seconds.
-Super convenient whereas it’s small and can be added to a backpack without really feeling the extra weight of it
    -No weird smell to it.

    Not very thick

    – The sleeping pad is a nice addition for camping. It gives me the extra cushion that I can’t get with my sleeping bags. Easy to inflate and deflate. The package includes an air sack which you just roll down to force the air into the mattress. I have my own battery operated pump and it works well. But in situations where I don’t have the pump or the pump runs out of juice, I could still manually inflate it with the included air sack. This product doesn’t have a built-in foot pump chamber inside like my current air mattress, but that is more like a mattress that is much thicker and heavier. Can’t ask for the best of both worlds really. Overall I am quite satisfied with this product. It’s compact and easy for travelling.

updated … it seems to have fixed itself after I wiped off the valve mating surfaces. it hold air fine now. it was a bit odd so maybe just double check the flap on the valve isn’t stick and the valve snaps in properly.

I was a little worried that I would be blowing up this pad for an hour with my mouth, but I was wrong. It comes with a inflator bag. It’s a really neat idea and works very well. I do worry about the durability of the inflator as if it rips a hole that’s not going to be fun. The inflator is also a storage bag too.
Comfort is ok. Pretty good for an inflatable sleeping pad. The size is amazing though. I always thought that the single size narrow were too narrow for me. It’s easy to deflate.
    Material is easy to clean.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersI have been using the Hikenture ultra thick mattress for camping as a scout leader. We needed something for my husband and I to use when we go family camping. I was worried about the comfort factor in going from the ultra thick mattress to this one. I was surprised at how comfortable the double mattress is, especially when you put a sleeping bag on top. I am 5’10 and it’s the perfect length for me. My husband is 6’1 and it’s just a bit too short for him if he stretches out. This is easy to inflate and took me 8 pumps with the inflating bag. It’s also easy to deflate and pack up. I am actually going to take this on our next scout camping trip so I can move around a bit more.

It’s also easy to deflate and pack up. I am actually going to take this on our next scout camping trip so I can move around a bit more.

Inflates easy, comfortable like a mini air mattress and seems to hold up well slept on it 4 times so far.

We love to go camping and we’re always looking for ways to make it as comfortable as possible and this mat is it. The mat unfolds and the pump is attached to the mat (genius) and took between 7-9 pumps to get it fully inflated. Once it’s full it won’t allow you to fill it up any more so you can’t over inflate and risk popping. The mat stays inflated all night and barely needed a refill the next day. Easily deflates and stores and is light to carry. The perfect camping companion. Highly recommend

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe love this camping pad. It is very thin, yet because of the design you do. It feel the ground. The individual bubbles allow for support without pressure, and it does not sink when my husband gets up. When we camp in texas we use it on top of another air mattress to stay off the ground (all the bugs!!). But I used to ache with every other air mattress. I feel great with this one. Highly recommend. We haven’t hiked with it but it packs very small and light.

This was my first camping pad that was inflated eye-catching air. I was surprised at how efficient and fast it was able to be blown up. It was very comfortable to sleep on and stayed firm underneath us. My only complaint was that it was a little bit loud when you shifted but otherwise I was very happy with this air mat and will use it again in the future.

We used it for the first time last weekend in the sand dunes and wow it really helps with comfort. My back did not hurt at all and the material is super soft. We put our sleeping bag over it and I could tell a huge difference! Great investment for camping trips!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had been looking for a new inflatable camping mattress that would fit in my small 3 person tent but be light enough to carry with on a short backpacking trip, and then I found this. I was hesitant about using the inflating bag due to the seemingly small air volume, however it worked, was easy to use and only took a couple of minutes! I left it inflated in my living room for a week, with my kids playing on it daily to test out how it lasted and if it lost air. A week later it was still comfortable to lay on, albeit slightly less inflated.
Overall, a definite recommendation! Comfortable, easy to use, light weight and fits in my tent!

Surprisingly easy to use and light!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve never owned a similar item, so I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered this sleeping pad. First of all, it is lightweight, so very good for packing light. Although lightweight, it does seem to be of rugged construction. I’ve never used a pump sack before, but using it was efficient. Once inflated, I left it inflated for 10 days to see if it would lose firmness. I didn’t notice any loss of air.

We purchased the ultralight double sleeping pad as a second pad for “car camping” purposes. We also have the original double sleeping pad and comparatively this one is lighter and faster to inflate, but since it is the lightweight design, you can feel the floor a bit more as well. It’s still comfortable but not as lofty as the original. We also plan to use it in the back of our truck and the cell design will make it more flexible to lay flatter against the walls which is a plus. Overall, it’s a comfortable and affordable lightweight pad and Hikenture customer service is very responsive and kind when it comes to any questions or concerns regarding the product.

Pretty good quality for the price. Inflates fast with the sack air pump. Comfortable even on graveled campground.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe hikenture lightweight mattress is very light and compact, which would be perfect for backpacking. It also is pretty fast to blow up, took me about 4 minutes. When I compare it to the hikenture foot pump air mattress, this one is not as thick or long (see picture next to my hikenture double) and due to being thinner, it wasn’t as comfortable to sleep on. It was quick to blow up, about 4 minutes.
