This was the Christmas favorite amongst my kiddos this Christmas! I searched all over Amazon and this was the best price with the best features! I was actually surprised at that! After reading many reviews on other ones, I saw that it’s best to have rechargeable batteries, otherwise, changing the batteries out of the gun and the chest piece are a huge hassle as the lasor guns use quite a bit of power! These have rechargeable batteries, have smoke that come out of chest once u have been eliminated. All in all, I paid the least for, what I found to be, the best set available! I would recommend this exact set to everyone! This is the BEST buy!!!

Epic fun
Laser shooting fun
Unfortunately the sets are too small for growm-ups dang
This would be a great WOW present for preteens. They are fairly sturdy and lots of fun. I’m not completely convinced that they are very accurate but to be honest it doesn’t really matter as long as you are getting some hits then it feels accurate while running about. They are way better than I expected for a home laser tag set. Batteries last a long time and are rechargeable.
I got the laser tag primarily for my kids to play with, but with 4 sets I was able to join in on the fun.
We’ve had a couple of light gun sets before but they’ve typically in the cheaper end. What you get with spending a bit more on hogokids set is more sets (the ones we had before were just 2 guns/vests). The guns are also much easier to use.
Health and ammo left are clearly displayed on the back of the gun meaning you can make make informed decisions on whether you play conservatively or got guns blazing. When you do need to reload it’s a quick tap of the base of the handle. Not only is this quick and works consistently, but looks cool too.
There’s a choice 5 different gun noises to use.
The guns work well inside and outside. After a couple of months of use by kids who can be a little rough the guns have held up well and seem robust enough to survive for a good time to come.
Overall a really nice set of light guns that is really fun to play, whether adult or child.
This device made my children were active outside medium play more with the family and friends, give the creativity on what to do and how to play in the keep them busy for a long time. Did you have to put batteries in batteries but I do last very long time before you had to change them.
un prodotto molto ben fatto. Mi piace.
Poich ho letto che espandibile e funziona molto bene do 5 stelle. Se poi, dopo aver comprato il secondo kit, dovessi verificare che non espandibile ne riparliamo. Per ora 5 stelle
This has come down a bit in price since launching but is still a pretty significant investment so is it worth it? All I can say is that as soon as the kids got their hands on it they really went to town and have played with it every day since for the last week.
The chest packs are easy to wear and the guns easy to use, with lots of different options in terms of sound and gun type, each doing different kinds of damage. The smoke spewing from the chest pack when you run out of lives is a nice touch.
Will they still be playing with it in another week, another month? Who knows, but they are loving it at the moment and it’s almost tempting to join them.
I got these for my niece and her cousins to play with over the summer. First the negatives. The box is quite small, everything must fit in in some special order because now it’s all out I can’t get it back in again. Second the instructions. I hate plowing through instructions anyway, but, found these especially traumatic. Not because the instructions are unclear just because there are so many different settings from which to choose. Once up and running they are extremely fun to play with by both adults and kids.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this set, but was very pleasantly surprised. The initially daunting-looking set of items was quick to get together and activate, and a game/match was on in short order. It was quickly obvious that this whole thing was insanely fun. The guns are easy to use and handle. The vests are slightly clunky on my youngest daughter (7 yo) but nothing too problematic. In action everything works nicely, and the little wafts when ‘shot’ are a good addition.
They have been a hit with my daughters and I expect they’ll be well-used as the summer holidays go on. It’s great to see them so engaged with this set outdoors, and the adventure element (basically hiding from each other) has been wonderful.
These are a truly superb set of laser tag guns, everything works brilliantly and then you have the added joy of the steam function making it look like you’re on fire when you’ve run out of lives.
You get a set of 4 colour coded guns and strap chest units. It’s nice and easy to set up, just press the button to select colour and shoot yourself (once) to set the gun to the corresponding unit. To work the steam function you need to put water into the unit, the instructions say to use purified water, we’ve just been boiling the kettle and letting the water cool. I guess it’s just to make sure over time that they do not get clogged up with gunky limescale bits.
The guns have a range of cool settings/gun types. My favourite is the laser gun which has a very satisfying futuristic “Pew-Pew” noise. I had a set of these as a kid and spent countless afternoons running round the woods. It’s so great to see my own kids now having the same kind of fun with these and the technology has definitely improved. Not having to faff around with expensive batteries is the main bonus. The charging cables for these are wonderful. Two plugs with 4 connectors daisy-chained in a line on each one means that you can charge all 4 guns with one plug and all 4 chest units with the other.
They seem a little pricey at the current RRP but then they are pretty decent in terms of build quality and the unique steam function – it never gets old watching someone’s chest plate start to smoke! High drama which is just priceless!
This really is good fun to play for everyone. It’s a lot more fun with the kids but gets very serious when the adults play , well more competitive than serious. The game itself is very easy to play and the steam effect is really good. The accuracy of the guns is very good as is the range, it works in daylight or the dark and it’s fun with the lights on the pack but chaos falling over everything in the house.
The setup is a little time consuming getting the packs synced with the guns and filling with water, out of the box you need to add in the batteries to each pack with a screw cover. The guns do need re syncing from time to time which is easy but a little annoying.
The gameplay is good and it’s so nerve racking when you are hiding in wait for someone and you change your gun type which then speaks to you and gives you away. I’m laughing thinking about it.
It’s a good quality build and really good fun. Batteries last a good while when charged as well.
Look so impressive, futuristic, sturdy, not heavy, great lights and noises. Children absolutely love these guns.
The laser isn’t actually very accurate. You don’t know how many times you’ve hit the other person unless you’re close to hear their gun. After about 5 hits its game over , the gun still registers a hit if you’re behind a wall, but nevertheless, who cares 😉
But all in, great fun at home and a good work out!
This is a review I was very curious about, probably even more than my boys 😉
Well, let me point out some things we discovered after a few games in different environments.
The good things:
– 4 guns are enough to play two team’s battle
– all batteries are included( 3.7V, not a standard 1.5V AA so bear this in mind if you would like to buy some spare to play more)
– charges are great – only two plugs and you can charge the whole set simultaneously( each plug charges 4 devices )
– the range is sufficient to play around in the open space or hide behind the trees, walls, etc.( we found the guns working well at around 30m distance )
– selection of guns – very nice that you can select a few types of guns and they have corresponding sound
– vibration feedback – gives you information when you hit or have been hit
– playtime – is more than enough( kids were already tired of running around and wanted to move to another activity before the batteries were gone – and we were using the batteries straight “out of the box” without precharged
– the size of the guns, buttons, and shields are appropriate for children from around 4-5 years of age( my 3-year-old played with us without any issues )
– reloading is easy and with a realistic sound( just tap at the bottom of the gun, when the magazine is supposed to be in a real gun )
Things for potential improvement:
– shields have no regulation of the length in the top part( that goes over the neck ) so depending on how tall the players are, it might be a bit awkwardly placed – usually too low
– shields have absolutely no padding from the inside – it’s plain plastic, and it would be definitely nice to have at least some thin foam padding there for comfort
– shields are a bit hard to reset – the switch ON/OFF is located on the inside, almost at the bottom so not easily accessible
– guns are collecting shots as well as the shields… so when you are hiding well but your gun is out, trying to shoot – you will be hit ;(
– The team indicator LED light is not bright enough in daylight
Looks like my main complaints are shields related, and we successfully played without them once we discovered you don’t really need them that much
If you considering buying this product, I would say it is definitely worth buying and can provide hours of fun( not only for kids ). A great feature is that you can play not only in daylight.
This is so much fun! Comes with 4 guns and 4 vests. All batteries included which is great. It’s a really great set, I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was so impressed. It’s quite pricy. It worth every penny in my opinion.
I received this laser tag set for free as part of the Amazon Vine Programme.
These are so much fun! The box contains everything you need to get started and the instructions are pretty clear on how to set everything up. I love the variety of colours for the lasers and vests plus the vests are adjustable so adults can have fun with this too! My nieces absolutely loved this and want to play with it everytime they come round – although it does take quite a while to get charged but very much worth it for the joy they get out of it. At the moment these are priced at 99.99 (at the time this review was written) and I must say that is a bit expensive for me but if your kids love laser tag then it is a lovely treat!
I played Cowboys and Indians with my fingers making kapow noises, how times have changed.
The way too small box comes with everything you need to be up and running relatively quickly with four guns and four vests and eight lithium 3.7V batteries with charging cables.
I’ll be honest and say that I could not make head nor tail of the instructions on how to get everything charged up and ready to play, my ancient minded nephew who at almost nine seems so much older, read the instructions barely glancing at them and then had it all done within about four minutes and then had the agony of waiting for them to be fully charged, ahh the impetuousness of youth.
Once they were charged he had some friends over and the games began, it was quite amusing to see the little wisps on the vest shield every time one of them was shot, beats the old finger method and hoping they would be honest, the fun went on for a few hours and somehow nobody got bored or ratty as I’d anticipated and instead it has become a weekly game with revolving players.
I still think the price is a tad on the high side at 130…EDIT…now down to 100 which I think is far more reasonable working out as 25 per player for a gun and vest, definitely much better value.
There is no need to worry about the dangers of the laser beams as they are using infrared beams which means they should be harmless to eyes and skin and will provide weeks and months of fun as the scenarios the kids come up with have been inventive and sometimes disturbing but that’s kids for you.
For the fun it has already generated and will continue to do going forward and the price drop this is an easy recommendation and could make a great gift for somebody with enough family/friends to really enjoy it, boys or girls will definitely think this is awesome and be very happy as I’ve already seen.
As usual, the package arrived very quickly from Amazon.
I ordered this set of 4 HOGOKIDS Laser Tag Guns and Vests as a present for my friend’s two young sons, as a gift for their upcoming birthdays, and as there are 4 sets, they can play this game with their friends.
Inside the box are 4 Guns, 4 Vests, 8 Lithium Batteries, a User Manual, 4 Small Plastic Bottles, and 2 Charging Cables, these have one USB-A plug on one end, and then 4 separate cables coming out from that with 4 plugs that plug into the vests and guns (see photo).
I took these to my friend’s house that has the two young sons, when I took vests and guns out of the box, they couldn’t believe their eyes and could wait to strap on the vests and grab the guns, we told them they had to wait while we inserted the batteries and filled the tanks in the vests with water, they were literally jumping up and down with excitement.
Next we went into the garden switched on the guns and vests, synced them, picked the gun we wanted to use from the choice on the side of the gun, these are Single Shot, Laser Gun, Shotgun, Machine Gun and Submachine Gun, split up into two teams, and the game began, the kids had nearly as much fun playing with these as the adults , when you get shot the vest lights up and vibrates, and when you are dead, smoke/steam comes out of the vest.
I must say, I haven’t seen kids have so much fun for a very long time, they absolutely love playing with these, and it was hard to tell them to stop and put the guns down for the day.
At the time of writing this review the price is 99.99, which I think is a little expensive, but at the moment there is a 20 discount voucher bringing the price down to 79.99, I think the lower price it quite reasonable.
I hope you have found this review, photos and helpful.
This set of laser guns and vests have been one of the best fun toys the children have had this summer so far!
They all voted for these over days out and other past times.
The set for 4 people comes well packaged and complete with rechargeable batteries which have to be installed (not these cannot be replaced with normal batteries)
There is also 4x smoke liquid which is poured into the vests and emits smoke when there is a hit.
The sounds from the children (and grandpa) playing with this is testimony to its play value.
The inbuilt laser ( in fact just infra-red) is effective and there are 5 weapon modes for different sounds of gunshot.
Expensive yes, but this is a toy they want to play with over and over.

Laser Tag Set
The set looks like great fun and is – even for big kids. I suspect the younger age range (6) would need a fair amount of assistance getting set up.
Three confusing/irritating issues
– the included batteries are 3.7V despite looking just like normal 1.5V AA batteries. You are encouraged to charge them in the guns/vests using a supplied USB cable which will charge 4 items at one. You do need to connect it to a proper 5V USB rather than your computer. I’m uncertain whether you can charge the batteries in a normal battery charger. Also you might need to get in replacements in case you lose a battery. The batteries are a plain green and do have some small writing indicating they are 3.7V – but you will need to keep them separate from normal AAs.
– the battery compartments on the guns and vests are secured by a catch and also small screws – though of two different screw sizes. The screws don’t fall out (so far) when unscrewed but it adds to the prep time before you can play.
– the instruction booklet only runs to 2 pages in English, and isn’t the easiest to read or understand. Its also inconsistent – unsure whether you need to keep between 30m or 40m for the gun to activate the vest.
The set arrives in a colour cardboard box which 36*18*18cm which is tightly packed with the guns and vest targets wrapped in plastic. The box could actually do with being a bit bigger if you are going to store the set in it. The description on the box isn’t great but luckily the Amazon listing describes the contents well. The box also has a very prominent typo on it.
Overall -great fun, but needs some preparation time to set up and explain.
Four player laser tag with rechargeable battery’s and leads to charge simple easy read instructions you will have great fun with this kids and adults don’t forget to charge before first use and add small amount of water to the front packs fair value ideal party toy or gif
Great fun and a bit syncing to do, then off you go.
Battery capacity/Voltage is 2.5 of normal AA, came charged and ready to go. One for the gun and one for the vest, once in and screwed, you just need to charge them via the USB cable, all 4 at once.
The usual sound, light and even the “smoke” effect ( water vapour ), making the battle really fun.
The life and bullets counter at the back of the gun, and you have various guns to choose from.
It is great fun at the playground or woods, even in and around the house/garden.
The price is much reasonable now @ just under 90 with voucher.
Would be great if you can use 2 AA battery and perhaps a smaller vest/belt.
This set of four rechargeable laser tag guns and spray vest for kids and adults too, can be used indoor or outdoor, play in your garden, for kids over 6 years old. Every gun has weapon switch- 5 weapon modes of single shot, laser gun, shotgun, machine gun, and submachine gun.
In this set you will get fog spray vest to- fog spray when eliminated by opponents can giving your kids and faimlies a real life battle experience. Ammo/HP Indicator- 9 ammo and 9 HP for each weapon before start playing. Four guns and Four vests, which feature exclusive functional demonstration transform your home or backyard into a battle arena: tactile vibrations, lifelike shooting sounds, invisibility mode, up to 130ft shooting range, rechargeable battery. With this set you can create great memory with the whole family. Very expensive set (99.99) at the moment, but the fun that is given to children and even adults is indescribable fun, and quality for this price is great, that’s why I can easily recommend this set to anyone.
These are great if a bit pricy.
Setting up was time consuming as each battery compartment has a screw then needs removing before you can fit the rechargeable batteries. You then need to fill the 4 vest with water so they can produce the steam/smoke effect which is very cool and impressive and the kids loved it.
The guns are cool and you have different weapon sounds SINGLE SHOT, LASER GUN, SHOTGUN, MACHINE GUN, and SUBMACHINE GUN. you need to reload (tap the bottom of the handle where a button looks like a magazine clip).
The quality and the range was impressive and we (I mean the kids) played for hours with these guns.
The only pain and this did become a major issue during play is you need to sync the vest the guns every time, not sure why the red vest can just be linked to the red gun. During play/testing one set refused to sync which meant we only had 3 working sets.
My first thought was it is quite a pricey item, however, the amount of fun you can have with this is fantastic.
The package comes with four laser guns and four vests, so you can play with up to four people. It can be played indoors or outdoors, I would reccomend outdoors to protect your house from becoming a fort. You can choose different teams by pressing the team switch button, each color represents a team and you can use your gun shot laser to mark suit vest.
The laser guns have 5 weapon modes, single shot, laser gun, shotgun, machine gun and submachine gun. If you want to add more players, you can add unlimited players with more sets as all HOGOKIDS Laser Tag sets are compatible!
Just like real lazer tag, this toy makes lifelike shooting sounds, the vest vibrates when you have been attacked, making the battle more realistic. The is good for younger players as it teaches them to be agile, think quick and the value of team work.
The laser gun set for kids is equipped with rechargeable lithium batteries and USB cable to fuel more than 4 hours of game time with each charge.
Each laser gun uses 1 battery and each vest uses 1 battery. A totals of 8 lithium batteries are used and are included in the package.
As this is a lazer item, I would stick the the age limit which is 6 years old, just to be on the safe side. Children and adults can participate in this game which makes it the perfect gift!!!

HOGOKIDS Laser Tag for Kids, Set of 4
I do remember taking my family to a laser range several years ago where we all had great fun using similar equipment to this, although this is a toy. The laser gun set arrives well packaged in a surprisingly small box considering what’s included. Each player is provided with a laser gun, vest and a small bottle of smoke liquid, there is enough gear here for 4 people.
Each set are in different colours, the colours you receive are: Red, Green, Blue and White. Both vest and laser gun are powered by a single rechargeable battery, there are 8 batteries supplied in the box, enough for all 4 sets of gear. The batteries are the same shape and size as AA batteries. I made the mistake of thinking they were the same so I fitted an AA battery in each device but none would work. I then realised that the supplied batteries are 3.7 volts and AA batteries are just 1.5 volts. After installing the correct batteries and charging them up, all laser sets powered up and were ready to go. A full charge should provide up to 4 hours use.
These are made from plastic but it does appear to be decent quality, with guns and vests appearing to be quite strong and sturdy. The vests each have a good length strap which should fit most normal size adults and kids, but if you are on the large size you may need to extend the straps. On top of the vest is a small screw off cap where smoke liquid is poured, this liquid should send out smoke when you are hit and are out of the game.
The laser guns have a good size handle, big enough for my hands, I always need the largest size in gloves so the laser guns should be suitable for most people. To operate the gun there is a slide switch to turn it on or off. There are several buttons available which select various gun types which are: Single Shot, Laser Gun, Shotgun, Machine Gun, and Submachine Gun.
I was a little concerned about laser beams and children’s eyes, but after reading through the details it was made clear that there are no visible beams. The equipment actually uses harmless infra red rather than real laser beams. As far as value for money is concerned, these are currently priced at 129.99 which I do feel is a little on the expensive side for plastic guns and vests. Although there is no getting away from the fact this is a fun game to play with the kids, especially if you have a big garden with trees for cover.

Thank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.
My son went to laser quest games when much younger and loved it so thought I would try this set out! Comes with four guns and vests so up to four children can play the game. Easy to charge up and a good feature is when the person is shot their backpack smokes slightly showing a ‘kill’. Great fun can be had especially at parties but I do think the price of 130 is far too high. Half this would have been more sensible!
These are really good quality easy to setup and use also when you lost all your lives the chest machine smokes telling g other players your out, great fun easy ti charge with the wires provided to charge all chest and guns at the same time, easy to use button on the gun also co.es with a pipette for filling the chest up with water for the smoke effects excellent quality and excellent value for money 5stars
