Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPretty nice set-up for an indoor hydroponics garden, only takes up a few square feet of space on the counter, including the extra supplies and all the seeds I ordered separately (also off amazon). We’ve had this for a few months and have already gone through one set of nutrient bottles as well as a full set of sponges for veggies and herbs. Light bar has multiple height settings, got to the top one before we decided to re-start.

The setup did great with bok choy, dill and cilantro. Leaf lettuce was kind of less than great, as it elongated quickly, likely due to crowding, but still got quite a few leaves off of it. A few other types of veggies and herbs didnt do great, don’t remember which ones as we tossed out the list with the re-start.

It is pretty easy to set up, though the water level indicator seems to read low by about 0.5-liter or so. Inserting and removing the light bar into the central set seems like you are going to break it, but it has held up just fine. The plug-in adapter is located on the bottom, which is kind of awkward when wanting to clean it out as there will still be water in the kit when i wanted to turn it over, so caution. I wrote with a Sharpie on each white plastic cup with a number 1-12 and kept a written list of what i planted where; would like it if each of the holes in the top were already labelled/stamped. Using all 12 at once led to a bit of crowding, some items didn’t do so well, so with the re-start are leaving 3 or 4 holes empty (covered with the clear cap though).

We did not need to clean out the system or the pump during the first round of growing (about 3 months), though the pump sponges did get a few roots growing in them. There was no odor from the system so the pump keeps the water moving and prevents stagnation. Needed to add water about every 2-3 weeks at first, and once a week when lots of things were growing strong.

All-in-all a pretty decent system, worth the price for sure. The seller has been super-responsive on the one minor issue (extra items not included in box, not a show-stopper), and has followed-up after each purchase to check if we received the items and needed anything else.

    Would recommend.

    Cheers

Speedy and well packed delivery. Easy to put together and set up. Currently growing peppers, chillies and herbs in the kitchen. We will also grow some salad for use throughout the winter. Loving the simplicity and ease of use.

    Easy indoor food productio

So The item was easy to install and the directions were super easy to follow. The only issue I had was the water indicator did not work, when I reached max capacity of water allowed the indicator did not tell me it still read half full when it was already full. The way that I discovered I had to much water was when the individual pods started lifting. I couldn’t pull the drain plug from the bottom as instructed, as that was difficult to pull out so I just tilted the whole thing and drained some of the water out. Otherwise I just started and it seems to be working fine.

One issue I had during assembly was figuring out which way to insert the mast. It was a tight fit so it wasn’t obvious which way it went until you used so force. Other than that, it was simple to setup and get going. It has a built in timer of 18 hours, which unfortunately there is no way to change this time. But turning on when you wake up and turning off when you go to sleep works well enough.

We made a mistake putting cucumber seeds – these are huge plants and are not suitable for this small system. Probably eould have been OK for basil and cilantro.
A beautiful addition to the living room.

It’s easy to use & has 12 growing pods. Growth is much faster than in soil pots. At just over $56 with tax, it’s much less expensive than comparable models. Set it and only change the water every 2 weeks. The water pump is cleaned monthly.

As I have only just received this unit it, I cannot review on the progress of the seeds that I have started.I think that perhaps you could put the instructions online for anybody who might have a problem with putting this together.

The grow kit was easy to assemble. Looks good when completed. Clear concise instructions. Only complaint is that it did not come with the extra set of sponges as described in the blurb. That said will definitely recommend to anyone. Looking forward to some nice salads shortly.

This hydrophonic nursery and grower represents exceptional value for money compared to others I’ve researched. Very simple to assemble and set up – 10 mins max and no tools required! I’ll add other photos when the seeds germinate. Everything you need is in the box except seeds and water. Wholly recommended !

ETA: Well I’m gobsmacked to say the least. I’m usually tainted touched (reverse-Midas) when it comes to plants and attempting to grow them, but this gadget has turned things around!

I will admit to being doubtful at first (is this any good, are the seeds I bought any good etc etc) but I needn’t have worried and what at first I thought was the seeds going mouldy, they were actually germinating; Percy Thrower eat your heart out mate, this is easy!

(Young bloods might need to Google the name)

Pics attached: L-R (habanero limon, habanero iforgot, peperoncino, bush tomatoes – these amazing: Left one to dry out last year and picked the seeds out of it to try and I’ll be damned, these blighters were actually the first to sprout!!)

    Awesome!

Fantastic hydrophonic garden at a great price!

I had purchased three of these for my grandkids, they absolutely loved them. They’re plants sprouted quickly and were very healthy. I decided to buy two for myself to grow herbs indoors. Less than a week after planting the seeds, just about everything is sprouting! I’ve used other grow lights with potted plants but they didn’t do nearly as well. There was also a fungus gnat problem from having potted plants in the house. My grandkids had no issues with gnats with this system. I’m looking forward to getting another one or two for more herbs!

I have done soil gardening in the past and never considered hydroponics. I bought this on a whim because a friend shared a pic of his aerogarden. There are better self made indoor hydroponic systems that you can make with PVC or totes, etc and I am now moving in that direction and part of that is driven by the short-term success I’ve had with this thing. It seems like basil goes nuts in it. I’ve grown chives, arugula, dill (failed due to my mistake) and rosemary (just started). Obviously you won’t be canning tomatoes out of this but for someone wanting a quick start, this works well. The timing seems to go wonky by an hour or less every couple weeks but I just simply unplug and start it again at the time I desire. I think with times getting bad at the grocery store this will help and I rarely used fresh herbs until now which is a bonus. You may notice my basil snips. The short one was from a cutting I rooted in a glass of water and planted in a cut sponge from the system.

I do have to credit my love for hydroponics to this one product. It is a very cheap and wonderful solution that allow someone to test out the beauty of hydroponics and see if it is for them before having to make a large investment into the hobby. I was able to grow lettuce, basil, parsley, and start strawberries as well in this great package. I do wish that the manufacturer would sell you just the net cups without all of the food and other items as I would like to use my own growing medium and my own nutrition mix. Aside from those very Petty complaints, this is a great system. I can definitely see this being a good gift (assuming you can find this for the right price) for someone who wants to inspire a new green thumb.

For the price this is an excellent little system. Keep in mind some features don’t work. The water level meter is completely inaccurate to the point of being useless and the timer keeps the light on for 12 hours (not 16) which is a bit annoying since that’s a bit lower than optimal lighting time for plants.

But for the price I still think it’s worth it despite these flaws. You’ll have a nice mini garden in no time.

The package was received and the package was complete. After unpacking, I saw the main hydroponic tank, plant nutrient solution, sponge, planting basket, dome cover, and instructions. I didn’t quite understand how to install and use it just after reading the instructions. I watched the quoted video. I figured it out: 1. The adjusting rod corresponds to the hole on the lamp cover, and insert it forcefully, so that one end corresponds to the hole in the middle of the hydroponic box, and the charger is under the base. Just insert it, so that the hydroponic box is basically installed. OK 2. Install the plant basket into the 12 holes on the box body, put an appropriate amount of sponge in the plant basket 3. AB plant nutrient solution, measure the amount with a measuring cup, and add an appropriate amount to the water injection hole of the hydroponic tank Water, this water level can be seen by the water level line, the nutrient solution is poured into the water injection hole to provide nutrition for the plants, and they can start planting. I planted cherry pandan and lettuce. It is still in the experimental stage. I don’t know how the result will be. 4. The last step , The planting is over. I adjusted the light to a pattern suitable for vegetable growth according to the instructions. Why did I choose this hydroponic tank because the vegetables grown in this way are not polluted and can grow quickly. I look forward to the vegetables I grow.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis was my first hydroponic system. I was pleasantly surprised that all the seeds I installed germinated and grew. There are two light settings, vegetable and fruit. I did not start any fruit. There is a timer which allows for 16 hours of light and 8 hours of darkness. The timer was off, and gradually added time on. Not a big deal, since you can reset the thing by powering off and on.

They include two pill containers with fertilizer tablets that must be completely dissolved in water in the pill containers they shipped in. Once dissolved, you must add 5 ML of each ( total of 10 ML) to one liter of water ( 1000 ML ). While it is not stated, I used the same mix every time I had to add water. The base holds 3.5 liters of water.

Once the plants start to take off, you will have to add water weekly. In two weeks, the tomato plants were 7″ high. I kept them in the tank too long before transplanting them. The light only goes up to about 21 inches and the tomatoes hit the lights in about 4 weeks.

The problem with excessive growth is that the leaves get tangled between plants and have to be carefully untangled to replant. Next crop, I will replant as soon as I see crowding.

You will need to get a batch of sponges. They shipped an extra dozen with the unit, but that’s only two plantings. I measured them and they are 1″ wide at the top, tapering to 1/2″ wide at the bottom and 1 3/4″ long. I have found that few suppliers actually list the measurements.

The unit must be emptied and cleaned monthly to eliminate mold. Other than cleaning, there is no maintenance. As your plants outgrow the hydroponic system, be prepared to transplant. THis may be an issue in the winter if you have no place to grow. BTW, transplanting does not necessarily mean in dirt. It is also possible to buy or build a large system hydroponic system. This is a good starter system and will allow you to get your feet wet.

I sliced a fresh tomato and put seeds in small planters. They grow really fast in the past week, and I just found they are having their third and fourth leaves! The light is so important. I have so much fun for having it in my apartment.

Being cooped up for such a long time has made a lot of us appreciate the beauty and benefits of nature a lot more than before, and if you’ve got into or want to get into growing some fruits/vegetables in your own home, then a hydroponics growing system can make everything SO much easier!

Other than seeds and water, everything you need to get started is included in the package: growing pods (‘artificial soil’); pod cages and clear lids/covers; plant feed; power cables, and instructions.

Once powered, the entire system is controlled via the 4 buttons on the top of unit; ‘Power’ (self explanatory); ‘Veg’ mode (lighting setting best suited for vegetables); ‘Flower’ mode (best suited for growing flowers), and ‘Pump’ (water pump control).

The height of system can be adjusted (lighting section), to allow for adapting the system for growing/different plants. Water can be easily poured into the system (there is a dedicated port with a cap), and if installed, the water level is easily measured and tracked with the water level indicator.

The bright LEDs have presets depending on the mode, up to 6000k, so the colour temperature is closer to blue rather than yellow, which is perfect for most fruits and vegetables, which thrive in the 5000-7000k range, whereas most flowers thrive with lower kelvin ranges (flowers will still be fine to grow!)

The LED lights have an estimated lifespan of 30,000h, which if on for 16h a day (auto setting), means the light element itself should last 1875 days, or just over 5 years. And, the 36-watt energy draw means that it is economical to run. Therefore, unless you plan to be using this grower 24/7 until it packs in, it should last for literally years!

I have included some images of day 1 growing progress of 12 different seeds, I will update this review with new images after a week or few to illustrate plant growth, so stay tuned.

Who needs the outside world anymore?

The light has two option – veggie and fruit. I tried the veggie one and it is sprouting well and fast – my seeds were sprouting after a week and it was just so happy to see them grow everyday. Love this product definitely a great add on to my kitchen!

So this is week #3 of my first attempt at hydroponic “gardening.” I had 10 out of 12 seeds sprout and considering some of them were 3 years old, I can’t complain. The kit comes with everything you need except for the seeds. Setup is pretty straightforward and did not take long at all. I soaked my seeds for about 3 hours and placed one seed in each pod. I’ll try to update in a few weeks as things hopefully progress.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersThis hydroponic growing system does it all. It has a light that can be several different heights based on my needs for the plants and it raises easily. As my plants grow taller i can raise the light. I can grow my own garden indoors all year round! This has everything i need to get started growing . It even includes plant food. It has a built in water pump, 12 separate grow pockets with sponges and sponge baskets. so can grow 12 different plants or all the same however i choose to use it. This tank can hold enough water to feet my plants for an entire month. yet if it’s low their is a water level indicator to let me know i need to add water. It’s very quite when in use, i’m so excited to get started as this will be so much fun growing my own . This system is great for small plants or to start the seeding of plants.
