I stand corrected,I left a review doubting the size I received. The mat itself is fab,used at the beach this weekend and it stayed put, doesn’t hold the sand and was big enough for 6 of us. It folds up tiny again so no cramming it all back in the bag. It’s really thin,don’t be fooled though,does exactly what it needs too

So I bought this at a reduced price so I feel I got my money’s worth however it definitely isn’t sand proof! The sand stays right on there! Good size and will serve its purpose, its very easy to take along wherever you go it can clip onto a backpack so doesn’t need to take up space inside a bag.
Big mat which is easy to carry. Added bonus is that it’s waterproof so when you’re at the beach or camping you can wipe clean. No sand coming home with me!
Used this item for a ground sheet whilst on hard grass in the baking heat. Was really easy to fold away again. Perfect to keep in a rucksack, just in case.
This blanket more than lived up to my expectations. The sand does stick to one side but the other side does an excellent job of resisting it. The supplied pegs were really effective at keeping the blanket pegged to the sand. It’s easy to fold up and get back in the bag at the end of the day. It’s well made and all of the seams were perfect after a solid 2 weeks of use. We felt far superior to other people on the beach who were putting their towels straight onto the sand, or those who were using heavy cotton rugs that were taking on sand and water.
Great little purchase, big enough for 4 of us to sit comfortably on towels with space left, and comes in a small bag so easy to carry and fold back up.
Great lightweight picnic blanket, folds up really small so ideal for sticking in a backpack. Sand doesn’t get stuck in it which is a real bonus. The fact that it is waterproof makes it a really useful thing to have in the back of the car ready for the unpredictable British weather!

Was much larger than expected which is great for a big family. I dreaded pulling it out the bag it comes in, however it was really easy to put back into the bag.
In terms of weight, its really lightweight and takes up minimal room which is great for beach days.

Folds up really small (about the size of your hand) so great for dropping into a beach bag for the day and saves carrying lots of extra blankets. Was easy to set up and pack away again.
Lovely and light, and so good to just shake the sand off. The sand just slides off and my daughter had a bucket of water on it and it was water proof. We used this instead of towels and it was brilliant, lovely and big too!
I was very pleasantly surprised by how good this beach blanket is for the money. I bought one after seeing one my friend had bought and trying hers out. Its 100% worth the money, even wet sand wipes straight off after a minute or so. This is definitely a must have when going to the beach.

This sheet is massive! Ideal for party in picnics, park. It is very lighweighted can be carried anywhere.
Great size for a picnic. We bought the largest size we could (243*274) and it was large enough for our family picnic with room to spare. Very happy.
The size of this was perfect for the kids to put down in the garden and to play/relax on. Nice and easy to fold and very compact. Ideally for taking on days out to, too the beach or picnics.
We took this on holiday with us and surprisingly it was better than I expected. It was light and waterproof, a really good size and bright. The pegs helped to keep the mat in place and no sand came through. It was easy to shake off and fold and store bag in the handy little bag it comes it! A great buy and value for money x
We use it a lot and we’re often getting asked where we got it from. The fact it can be pinned down (on soft ground) is the best part.
Purchased for family beach holiday. The blanket is fabulous. It’s waterproof, kept sand off, easy to peg down, simply to fold back up and very lightweight. It’s also covers a large area. Highly recommended.
For sitting on grass outdoors, which is never as dry as it may seem so saves getting up with feeling of dampness at the end. Easy to use and packs up small so easy to cart around with you. Pegs mean it doesn’t flap in breeze. Ideal.
Ordered Saturday morning and received it Sunday afternoon without prime. Very light weight and comes with a belt/bag clip. Water proof as it’s made from tent material so ideal for what I will be using it for (the beach) easy to set up and put away also the carry bag is attached to the blanket so no more chasing bags on a windy day

This is my second blanket, I left my other on holiday by accident. Its fantastic, you don’t need to worry about children or the dog running onto the blanket with sandy feet as it’ll just wipe off, not stick to the fibres. There’s pegs to hold it down and the bag remains attached to the blanket so no losing it. Great robust quality. Highly recommend.

This is amazing!! Great for the beach, in the garden and at the park. The material feels similar to a parachute or something like that. So easy to fold and store and absolutely huge!! Its had lots of use this summer!
This is a great product. I ordered this as a picnic blanket that I keep in the car. It folds away nicely into a small bag yet it’s a huge blanket. The material is great for the beach and by the river and it’s easy to wipe clean.

I’m not sure how I survived going to the beach before owning this! No more towels covered in sand! Just a nice easy, lightweight beach blanket. Folds beautiful back into its carry bag and has pegs which are fabulous to keep it where you put it so the sea breeze doesn’t steal it! Would definitely recommend!
This is an excellent product for travelling as it is very light (only weighing approximately 300 grams), the material is water-resistant and works as stated. This product doesn’t have to only be used on a beach but can also be used in the park. The smart packaging also makes it fit any regular backpack and is suitable for going somewhere like a beach or park, unlike clunky blankets and mats that take up a lot of space in a car or backpack.
Setting up the blanket takes less than a minute, and provides a very breathable and comfortable surface to picnic on.
In conclusion, this is one of the best blankets that I have ever used and for the price, it is unmatched.
Perfect for the beach. Just what I needed it for. Not tried it on grass yet but it’s perfect for keeping in the car for those impromptu summer stops as it’s small and packs away in the handy bag.
Absolutely love this beach blanket, it’s perfect to lay down on the beach with as it’s so spacious, easy to pin down onto the beach with the four hooks provided, on a very very windy day the one hook did blow out but easy to put back in, it’s a challenge to fold back to get back into the bag but would definitely recommend.
Excellent blanket, size of a bag of sugar folded up, plenty big enough for four people once laid out, has strong ties at each corner for the four plastic pegs and bag is attached so it doesn’t blow away. Surprisingly managed on first attempt to fold and put back in bag. Very light weight,excellent purchase.
Bought this for the beach and general outside on the grass use.
Feel like a tent material hence why it is water proof.
Spilt beer on it accidentally (never want to waste beer) and it just sits there as a puddle. This makes it easy to clean.
The pegs are really useful for grass and sand purposes.
Folding this back up to fit in the bag (which is attached to the mat) is a little awkward. I have accepted that I will never be able to fold this up the way it was originally but because this is light and thin, it is very easy to fit back into the bag.
Great for on the beach. It packs away really small and light. We found it easy to brush sand off too, which was the reason for purchase. We did mistakenly think it was going to be one of the double layer blankets where the sand falls through the mesh, but it isn’t.
aking on holiday as it is easy to carry , not bulky , love the idea it has spikes to put into corners , so it does not blow about. ordered the large one, so not messing about with smaller picnic blankets. good price too.

Despite packing into a small bag (20x15cm after a couple of uses), this blanket is much bigger than any picnic blanket I’ve found before. Its a tent-like material that is easy to clean (especially sand) and pack away. Very Happy.
Product came as advertised. Absolutely fantastic size, easily manages the whole family and accessories and even then some. Very lightweight indeed for its size, and it very easily folds down to a portable compact size easy to pack in the car taking up barely any space.

This is large but is so easy to fold into the carry bag that’s attached to it. Packs away into the size of a pack Mac or similar waterproof wear. It’s lightweight for the size too. Can’t wait to try it out now.
Does everything it says but its a little thin… dog paws can tear holes very easily.
Compact, easy to clean, able to take anywhere. It comes with a bag a back for travel and pins to anchor it.
Please note: it is thin so doesn’t provide any “cushioning” when sat on the ground.

Looks a great beach Mat, much easier to carry around as it’s so Compact and lightweight but is still massive when it’s laid out! Can’t wait to get to the beach to test drive it now.

This blanket is amazing to say it comes in the smallest of bags the blanket is huge and perfect for at least 6 adults sat together. Can’t wait to use it on our holiday as with 3 small children normally sat eating is trouble as there is spillages and sand everywhere but I have tested the blanket and everything wipes straight of no fuss fantastic buy.
This is a great product and is surprising small when folded which i didn’t expect. It is good quality and water resistant- perfect for the beach especially with kids. Its also massive and when your finished it folds up again well. The pegs also help it to stay down and not blow in the wind. Would definitely recommend over towels for lounging on.
This is a great product and packs really small and is very lightweight. Quite thin, so would recommend another blanket on top for comfort.
Bought this after seeing the same product being advertised on TV showing the sand will go through it so there is never sand on it. This product does NOT do the same. The sand stays on top. Easy to remove, yes, but it doesn’t do what I thought. I will still use it though, probably better for camping, not the beach
Such a handy big blanket and it won’t take up any space. I’ll just attach it to the stroller. I should have bought this blanket a long time ago. We had a big blanket with us last summer and when you have children, you know what it’s like. As if you moved the whole living room to just one picnic. My husband finally praised me for this purchase on Amazon, which is not his habit.
Cant fully comment on waterproof Ness as it’s not been tested enough yet, but so far no leakage on grass which has been damp. Very lightweight. Folds easy back into the bag. Handy for pannier on the bike, for car boot, for nappy bag etc.

Love this mat, does exactly what it says on the tin and was impressed that I could easily wipe blackberry jam off without staining. I’m sure it would feel wet or cold underneath if I put it on wet grass but I didn’t’ intend it to be used for this purpose so it was to be expected. Love i

actually fits back in bag after use – which is a first! great for impromptu sitting down in the park, beach etc. i just leave in back of my car. not had cause to use the pegs yet but look like on beach they will be genius. HUGE so great for enforced social distancing or, as i prefer to call it, just keeping people away on a crowded beach because I want space! highly recommend
I chose this products over other due to the water and sand resistance.
When you first see the bag, you don’t expect it to be as big as it actually is. Still, the material is really sturdy, yet lightweight. I really like that the carrying bag is stitched to the blanket, so you can’t lose it.
My only complaint is that the material is not very breathable, so if you sit on it on a hot day while wearing shorts, your legs can get a bit sweaty. Still, great purchase!
This product is great, exactly what I was expecting, however… when I opened this brand new product I discovered the tent pegs had dried mud on them, I found small patches of dirt on the rug itself and even a piece of bird poop!
We used it on the beach and on grass. Large enough for four to five people and very easy to carry with the carabina attached to its own integrated carrying pouch. A well thought out piece of kit which could also be used as a tent groundsheet.
The description beach mat is a little missleading but this said it had its plus sides we have used it under a gazebo in the garden and for this use its first class the grandkids have hammered it and it’s ok but as for folding it …….
Really like how small it folds and we got it back in the bag no problem. Will be more than big enough for our family of 5. We wanted something durable, light and small to fit in our baby back carrier and this definitely fits the bill!!
I look forward to using the mat with friends next summer, with one on each corner to socially distance!

Lightweight, good storage bag and easy to carry. Water resistant but you have to sweep sand off it regularly.
This is a great item for using when you have small children. It kept everything nice and clean whilst we were on the Beach, and then it doubled up as a blanket when we went to the Park. The hooks that go into the floor/sand is also handy. I would recommend and I would buy again if needed!
Amazingly light and small. Even more amazing is I’m able to take it out of the holder and use it, and then roll it back up, to fit back into the holder! The holder bag is even built in which is a great idea, especially as you can fill it with sand which gives extra confidence in it not blowing away in a strong wind. This is back up to the included pegs of course but we all know how useless pegs and sand can be.
The only negative thing I would say is that the description says this is water resistant and the images say waterproof It’s not really. Water quite easily passes through. It’s definitely resistant to send though. Sand just repels from it with a quick shake.

I was originally looking for one of those mats where the sand just falls through however after checking online this seemed a better option. It comes in a tiny little bag that you wouldn’t expect to be able to hold the whole thing however it does, it fold out to a massive size, bug enough for a small family to sit on, the bag stays attached to the blanket itself so as not to lose it, it also came with a small carabena and 4 pegs for keeping it stuck down. It’s also water proof which we found out quite quickly when one of the kids dropped their drink as it did not soak in.

Saw this being used by a family when I was out in a park and thought it would be ideally for my holiday. It is great that it comes in the little bag. The size is perfect, bigger than I thought and easily fits 4 of us on with plenty of space for the picnic as well. Really looking forward to trying it out on the beach!
A good beach tarp, just a tad too large for my needs. It is a nightmare to dry out and refill though.
I waited to test this out properly before posting a review – used it on damp ground to sit on and we kept dry – it then it unexpectedly rained that day and we didn’t have coats – 4 of us sat on a bench under it using it as a shelter and still didn’t get wet! One of my best buys this year!
Love the water resistant blanket! My mate had recommended this as it came with 4 straps and 4 pegs and it was awesome. However I’m only given 4 stars as mine came without the straps. Bit annoying and I wondered how many others had this problem/didn’t know that it was suppose to come with straps?
Not used it yet, but hopefully I’ll use it on the beach, very lightweight, should be able it fixed it on the outside of my rucksack
This was bought to replace a waterproof backed picnic blanket where the back had ripped and pulled away. I use it on the beach 99% of the time so figured something a little more suited to a beach would be better.
The bag is very small – small enough to drop in the bottom of my wife’s handbag if necessary or, more likely, a side pocket on the rucksack. When opened it unfolds to over 2 metre square – big enough for all 4 of us to sit on comfortably, or 3 adults to lie on with room to spare.
So far I’ve only tried it on the back garden, but it seems waterproof, which is surprising because of how thin the material is. I can’t wait to try it at the beach, if we ever get to go this year.
Great size, feels a little flimsier that I expected (but I think that’s just my expectation) and the material is akin to a cross between a tarpaulin and an umbrella material but high quality, I wouldn’t use it on a stony beach necessary but great for camping, picnics etc. Don’t know if we’re going to find it comfortable to sit on when it’s hot unless you put a beach towel on it but for impromptu picnics and keeping the rain off of stuff 100%.
I spend a lot of time out in a field playing frisbee and catch with my mates I bought this to save bringing a towel because sitting on grass is uncomfortable against bare skin.
This mat is ideal to soften a surface, it’s super lightweight and packs down easily (although it can be difficult if its windy) and the bag is physically attached to the mat so you don’t need to worry about losing it.
That mat comes with 4 thick plastic pegs to secure it so the ground so it doesn’t fly away.

My Best Buy for the summer. With a newly crawling baby I needed something quite large for the garden, beach, park so my little boy had plenty of room to explore but didn’t want something to take up half of the boot. This is perfect as I can shove it in the bottom of the pram and pull it out when needed. It’s light weight and great quality. We use it frequently and there’s no sign of wear. Whenever we next make aBroad this will most certainly be coming with us.
It’s very big but would have liked if it was a bit thicker. Just a thin plastic sheet but good for beach or garden to keep clea
Was sceptical as the price seemed very good but I’m really pleased! Huge picnic blanket for whole family to fit on. We’ve used many times already and is great on sand, grass or even woodland and feels completely durable. So easy to pack away too and pegs keep it well in the ground. Going to buy a second to keep in car at all times!
I haven’t tried this picnic mat out yet, but it’s a good size and seems easy to fold. I like the fact it has pegs to secure it down in sand or soft ground, and can be used as an awning or wind break, if there’s something suitable to tie it to using the straps provided. It’s great that the bag is attached to the mat and can’t blow away or be lost.
It can be washed on a 30 degree wash – good should there be spillages – but I guess it wouldn’t be warm to sit on like a rug.

This blanket doesn’t disappoint. The material is thin which allows it to fold to a small compact size. The blanket bag can’t be lost as it is stitched to the blanket. Also included are ground pegs which is nice! Also includes ropes that allow you to set the blanket up as a make shift shelter.
The size of this blanket is huge. Finally I can have space to not just sit, but lay down amongst the family and dog!

When we opened it 4 yellow pegs fell out. They seem quite sturdy and well made. Then there is a bunch of straps which took a while to figure out what they’re for but then realised using the straps it can be used as a canopy.
Once we opened the blanket, we were surprised to see how big it actually is. The fabric looks thin but its very deceptive and feels thick. We will be using this under the swimming pool we have bought recently when the weather gets better (raining in the North East UK at the moment)
So far I’m super impressed with it. Tested item with water from the tap and it runs off the fabric.
Definately proves we use our eyes to buy items and shows how deceptive our minds can be!
This is a large picnic / beach mat. Size wise is it big enough for a family of four. The mat is also really compact, and fits inside its own small nylon bag.
The mat comes with 4 plastic pegs that can be used to secure it. These work like tent pegs, with one going through each corner to prevent it moving. The plastic pegs are fine for the beach and grass providing the ground is not completely parched. Alongside the pegs is a D ring for securing the bag to a rucksack.
The mat is water resistant, and can certainly cope with damp sand or grass. As we tend not to go for a picnic when the weather is bad, we have not had opportunity to see if it will cope with very wet ground. It is also easy to clean, as is will simply wipe over. It is also washable, although we have not needed to do this yet.
I wouldn’t quite call it a blanket personally but I am very impressed with how small it folds down. The small bag (which is attached to the tarp) won’t get lost and I had no difficulty putting it all back in. Probably not going to be back in very well in strong winds.
Ground pegs are strong and hold well, however I have only used this in the garden so far.
