They had little rust marks which I cleaned off with solvent and lightly coated with Vaseline. Ok for the price in comparison to some others selling them for more than double the price.
Solid product which doesn’t clutter the house. Can do a range of exercises but the changing the weights is a bit of a faff so keep them on 7.5kg whilst I tone. The extra 2.5kg will be added in months to come. Can’t see me needing anymore weights and they can be lightened for other family members to use when I return to my couch!!
Arrived promptly, you can only use One of the smaller rings, or one small , or one big,, or a big and one smallor all three, you can’t use the two smaller rings together..
One of the smaller rings does not screws completely on, yet the handle will screw into the their rings.
Very disappointed not what was described as being able to use and faulty as well

So after the seller contacting me, a refund was done. So although the product itself was faulty, the customer service was excellent and a solution was found.

Leider wohl durch einen Irrtum erst defekte Hanteln bekommen. Aber durch einen sehr netten und reibungslose Kontakt mit dem Hersteller habe ich anstandslos und umgehend neue bekommen.

Bought this to do bits of exercise in a very busy life, so use it where ever I have spare time and the dumbells don’t look out of place if I leave them in the lounge, kitchen etc just look a bit classy
We have dumbbells line this from Nothdeer, Top Power ( best value imho) and Dripex. I’d rate these more highly if we didn’t have those, but all are of them are nicer than these.
Firstly, the grips, though effective, would be very uncomfortable for a longer session. I’d recommend gloves…
Secondly, the finish on these wasn’t as good as the others and screwing was a squeaky exercise
I’d still have kept them, but instead of the 4 heavy weights and 8 lighter ones I was expecting, there were just 8 heavy ones, meaning that the choice would be ( I think) 6 or 11kg without any intermediate step. Really not doable, so they are going back tomorrow.
On the plus side, all of the above except the Dripex gave the same thread size.

Soon after submitting my initial review I received a very nice email from the seller apologising and explaining how the problem had occurred. I am happy to say that we now have a replacement, fully working set and the product really is very good indeed. As is the customer service! Really pleased

Disappointed by these – some of weight discs seem to be welded together and are impossible to separate. It’s a shame. The set looks and feels good. Most of the set is ok, with discs that move well and are easy and quick to exchange, but to make this set work we need to be able to remove and replace all the weights not just some. Sadly, we’ll have to return.
After opening the box I was pleased with the packaging and appearance of the weights, but as I dismantled the sets and tried to configure the smallest weight set to start with, I encountered a problem.
I could only fit the small weights with the female thread onto one end of the handles as the other thread was too tight to engage the second weight.
Both handles were the same yet would easily attach to the largest weights as they also had female threads.
The item was returned for refund.
Update: After returning the dumbbells to amazon, Layota customer service apologised for sending out the mislabeled faulty product and offering a replacement, so I upgraded my rating
he idea of these weights is perfect, they look nice but have very small signs of rust on the handles, I covered this with wrapping tape to make them more comfortable to lift so it’s not a problem but should be mentioned.
The versatility is great and the dismantle and rebuild is nice and easy

Trotz guter Verpackung gibt es an den Scheiben leichte Macken. Diese mssen also vor dem Verpacken entstanden sein. An den Scheiben gibt es wenige Stellen mit Anhaftungen von Rost, was ja bekanntlich eher mehr als weniger wird. Sehr schade.
Die Lieferung ging sehr schnell.
Ich suchte weitestgehend plastikfreie verstellbare kompakte Kurzhanteln. Habe lange gesucht, da es nicht viele Produkte gibt, die diese Anforderungen erfllen: Diese bieten ein sehr gutes Gesamtpaket:
– Bis auf den trkisen Ring plastikfrei (der Ring ist aber recht sinnvoll zum Schutz des Bodens und vorm Wegrollen)
– verstellbar in weitem Gewichtsbereich
– kompakt
– gutes Preis-Leistungsverhltnis
Nicht so gut:
– Rostspuren (lassen sich aber entfernen)
– Passung der Gewinde (geht zwar grundstzlich, aber man braucht teilweise viel Geduld)
– Griff fhlt sich leicht scharfkantig an
Insgesamt aber empfehlenswert und etwas Vergleichbares habe ich auch nicht wirklich gefunden. Trainiere tglich damit und wrde sie wieder kaufen.

Voller Hoffnung ausgepackt und dann war die Euphorie dahin…. Als absoluter Anfnger mit der niedrigsten Gewichtsstufe zu beginnen ist zwar mglich, aber dann knnen die Hanteln nicht abgestellt werden…. Die ueren schmalen Drehscheiben sind vom Verbindergewinde “Papa’s”, die inneren “Mama’s und Papa’s” aber der Griff ist nur “Papa”…. Sprich, wenn man nur mit 3,x kg Beginnen will, ist immer ein “Papa” auen…. Wie auf den Bildern zu erkennen ist.
Die Scheiben werden in 4x 3er Kombi zusammenverschraubt geliefert…. Meine Frau hat kleine Hnde und (noch) wenig Kraft, alle Scheiben zu demontieren war ihr schlicht nicht mglich.
I have ordered this for my own use they are compact and durable. Previously I used to have rubber/plastic coat after a while the rubber/plastic coat came off. Hence I ordered these ones. They are compact but heavy and the handle grip is also very good. And these are having the rubber for the weights so that they won’t roll on hard surfaces. And you can add or remove the weights as you like easily. Great purchase. Loved them.
Although I am someone who likes to spend on fitness equipment I was a little skeptical about the price of these dumbells when I bought them. But trust me when I say this, these dumbells are a long-term investment. One can have 4 different variants of weight.
Easy to change weights. Easy to assemble and disassemble. I was able to carry these dumbells easily after disassembling them in batches. The grip prevents the dumbells from rolling on the floor. They look good and the steel is of good quality as well.
I have been using them for over a month now and I am highly satisfied. I recommend this as a long-term buy high on convenience, quality, and design.
The dumbbells are very good quality and look fantastic being stainless steel.
The handle is very grippy so you won’t have any issues with them slipping out of your hands.
They also have some rubber grippers around the edge of the weight plate so you won’t scratch your floors.
I absolutely love these dumbbells and myself and my wife can use these very easily.
Overall I am absolutely delighted with these dumbbells and for the following reasons I have decided to rate them 5 stars:

Daher finde ich 123 fr 2x10kg vollkommen in Ordnung. Die angerauhten Griffe haben guten Grip und auch die Scheiben machen einen guten Eindruck. Lediglich der berzuziehende Gummi-Ring als Ablagepolster macht keinen Robusten Eindruck, reicht als Puffer allerdings vollkommen.
Beim Auf- & Abschrauben sollte man jedoch gut aufpassen (unbedingt auf einem Teppich oder Iso-Matte machten!). hnlich wie bei einem Flaschendeckel muss eine Hand den Griff fixieren und die andere die Scheiben vom Gewinde abdrehen. Der Punkt, wann das Gewicht lose ist, muss genau eingeschtzt werden, sonst kann die Scheibe auf den Boden fallen. Auf Fliesen z.B. ggf. nicht ganz so witzig – weder fr die Fliesen, noch fr die Nacharn 😉
Sofern es die Tragkraft der Griffe zulsst, wrde ich mich ber erweiterbar nachkaufbare Zwischengewichte der mittleren Scheiben (sind 1,25kg glaub ich) sensationell freuen. Idee bitte aufnehmen.

Good set of dumbbells, flexible weight options for a solid home workout. Feels really well made, look nice and solid with a handy rubber band to stop it cracking your floor.
I just knocked out a 25 minute arm/shoulder workout with 7.5kg on each, really good and small in size compared to cast iron ones.
You can pretty much tone up or strengthen any way you want from 3.5kg 12.5kg all with just 2 dumbells, much better and quicker.
Can’t complain at all, everything as advertised, handle is a bit rough if your used to rubber/neoprene but its all good.
Give them a go, especially if your short on space.

I bought this based on a friends experience, and i am very happy how sturdy and easily adjustable are these dumbbells. Great product!
Everything fits in and tightens properly. They are a bit expensive but worth it if you are short on space.
I was quite surprised by how sturdy these are compared to other similar adjustable dumbells I’ve tried and because of the full metal construction they’re super sturdy and make lifting a lot easier compared to these adjustable dumbells that come in cradles – I find they’re considerably bulkier and force you to rotate your arm out from your body, so you don’t hit yourself with these weights. By contrast, they may not be as quick to adjust, as you have to individually unscrew each plate, however, once they’re secured, in my experience, I have definitely preferred working out with these dumbells.
Given the price, amazons rapid delivery, I don’t think I could complain – you could possibly find it 5-10 cheaper elsewhere, however, many other alternatives I have happened to come that my friends have purchased, seem to be similarly priced but considerably bulkier and not as well built i.e rattling during use or slightly unbalanced – so personally I would definitely recommend these dumbbells.
