Give that this is designed to carry laptops around, I’m surprised that it doesn’t feature any sort of padding at the bottom of the bag – there’s nothing to protect your laptop if drop your bag a bit too heavily on the floor. I’ve stuck some foam down there to give a bit more protection – shame there wasn’t something like that by the manufacturer. That small gripe aside, it’s a great bag and worth buying (let’s face it, it’s not hard to stick a bit of foam down there yourself).
I love this backpack. My job takes me all over the world and it’s perfect for storing everything I need, from my laptop, notepads, pens, charging cables, headphones and plastic folders. The list could go on. Another plus is that the backpack is very comfortable, even when it is rammed full of stuff. If you’re looking for a sturdy backpack with endless pockets and compartments, whether it’s for education or professional work, I’d definitely recommend this one.
Straps are easily adjustable and very comfortable to wear. Lots of different compartments which I really like and it always feels secure on! Love the attached keychain part as I keep the attachment on my keychain and can then clip it to the backpack so I don’t have to worry about losing them.
Built in charger is amazing – my phone frequently runs out of charge when I’m out but its not convenient for me to carry the charger in my hand/pocket and so being able to attach it to the bag is good, especially for train journeys etc.
All in all really good! Great value for money and a really good size. Have had it for over a month now and am glad I bought it!
Have been using this as a work bag and a carry-on travel bag and it has been perfect.
Plenty of space, zips and pockets and is comfortable to wear on one or both shoulders.
A great bag I use for work. Has lots of padding for a laptop, aswell as numerous pockets and sections for different items. Feels well made and is comfortable to carry round.
On offer at the time of purchase. A well made rugged bag. Can’t comment on water resistance during the mini October heatwave but no reason to believe it would not survive in heavy rain. The power pack USB cable built into the bag is a nice welcome touch.
Perfect for work. Comfortable to wear. Plenty of pockets for laptops, files, phone, chargers, lunch, tissues etc and of varying sizes, so great for those little bits and pieces. Side pockets fit my water bottle snugly. Material is sturdy and seems pretty water resistant (although not tested in proper rain) . Will buy again for the kids when they need new school rucksacks.

I bought this backpack years ago, and was scrolling through my orders and realised I hadn’t reviewed it. Honestly would not be without this now. It is perfect for so much: travel, work, gym. It fits perfectly under the plane seat for short haul flights, and you can fit a surprising amount in it. The laptop/tablet protection pouch is a great feature. I have never used the integrated charging wire, so cannot comment on that. But this bag has done alot with me, and is still looking in great condition and has alot of European adventures left in it!
You have to be careful when opening it up because it is so tightly packed but nice and lovely

This is a fantastic bag for the price – it has so many pockets and compartments and seems sturdy. It looks great and not too bulky – which is deceptive when you think of all the space within.
I am not sure about the USB Powerbank charger though, I can’t really think of how this would be used in a practical sense but it may be useful to some. I bought it for the price and pockets for work trips and am delighted with it.
I can get my MacBook Air 15″ in with ease and pretty much most of the other office gear in too!

Bought this backpack as doing more travelling with work , and I’ve been struggling with a backpack where everything just gets lost.
Why I’ve held on to it I don’t know , as this is brilliant. With so many separate compartments I know where everything is, and I loved the safety pocket for my wallet for when walking through a busy town. So I would totally recommend this product. I got the grey which I also like instead of traditional black.
There is not much to be said ! honestly 10/10. With a lifetime warranty ! wow. The only concern is if i can throw it in the washer or not.

I haven’t bought a rucksack in years, I used it to go abroad, the hidden wallet part on the back is brilliant makes it so much easier to get access to your money without thinking someone can steal it, it’s lockable on zips too with your own pad lock, strap to put round suitcase so u don’t have to carry it, so many compartments, I didn’t use it as a laptop bag but would defo recommend just as a rucksack, comfortable and practical

Love this backpack. Got the smaller one and it fit my 14 inch laptop inside easily. Lots of pockets and space, and looks to be of great quality.
I’m very impressed, it was one of the cheaper I could find, but not lesser quality, is well made, lightweight, has different compartments, doesn’t look any different to ones twice or three times the price. I only go to office once a week so didn’t want to spend a fortune on a laptop backpack, but needed an upgrade from my bag that is not a laptop bag. This one is all I need to bring my laptop plus other bits to the office comfortably.
This thing has lots of space, lots of compartments, lots of padding.
The quality of the material is good, the zips are strong.
It easily takes my 15.6 Vivo, charger, external usb, tools, will lots of space left over.
It is important to note this is not fully waterproof.
I am a little surprised I missed that when ordering.
However, I happened to be caught in some light rain for maybe 10 minutes, and while the outer got a good soak, the inside was fine.

I ordered the backpack hoping it was what I wanted. It far exceeds that. I purchased it as a work bag. Wow I can get everything in it plus more. Water proof clothing provisions for the day plus extras many many extras . It’s amazing. There’s pockets for everything. The security pocket is ideal for work I’d and coin purse. One draw back once I had packed everything plus extras like ladies do I couldn’t pick it up. Had to re think the whole kitchen sink idea. The straps are padded so no digging in to the shoulders no matter how heavy. its a comfy fit So if you require a multi purpose back pack this is the one.
This is the second time that we’ve brought this product the first one my son had and he’s a long distance hgv driver and very useful to him the second one was brought for ourselves but my granddaughter took a liking to it and again it’s really good for her school work and computer especially with the usb built in as she can keep her phone charged all in all avery good and useful item (got to buy another one now for ourselves unless the grandson suddenly decides he wants one)
Mostly got it for the sketchbook. Loads of pockets is a plus.

This backpack is fantastic! Has plenty of storage space inside the bag, as I use this bag for work and I can fit everything I need inside. The bag is also very comfortable for commuting as it has soft pads, so it does not strain and hurt your back and shoulders, and it is water resistant for rain too!

Brilliant bag. I was dubious at first because there was so many reviews for a bag i thought they were fake. Lots of reviews seemed to be commuters in london with laptops having problems. Im an electrician and just wanted a bag for work that had compartments to separated and organised. I can carry my lunch, paper work, spare clothes and have my hands to carry everything else. Bag seems strong and good material. Comfortable. Honestly, i was made up how practicle the bag is. 10/10 for me

Only downside I’ve seen is the zips are fairly loose, so when a zip opens a little, the weight of the content so the bag will cause the compartment to fully open itself.

Purchased this to use as a flight bag mainly as it had a connection to be able to charge my phone while the battery pack was in my bag. More than enough space for what I was carrying. Padded straps so it doesn’t dig into shoulders. Plenty of pockets on it and a great one on the back for keeping money or cash in. I didn’t have my laptop with me but I know it will certainly fit in the bag if I ever need it. Seems to be well made as no issues with zips or material splitting.

I dont see this bag holding up very well in the rain but that is not an issue for me as worst case scenario, it only has to remain waterproof for the time it takes me to walk from the car and cross the carpark into work. If I was commuting via public transport I think I would go for something that is going to hold up better to the british weather, but that will cost you more than 20.
For the money I paid, I am very impressed by the build and material quality used; how this stands the test of time however remains to be seen. It feels well built and padded.
I note that the bottom of the laptop pouch feels thin on the bottom of the bag – a usual weakpoint of most laptop bags. I have remedied this by adding some foam from work into the bottom of the pouch and now it is fine.
If any problems develop I will update, but currently very happy with the design and price.

I’ve found it fits easily by my feet on the train when needed, but it easily big enough to hold all of the essentials I need for my day, including being able to fit it a fairly generously sized lunch bag!
I’ve been caught in a couple of downpours for about 15 minutes whilst using it and haven’t found that to be a problem so far. Whether it would hold up for much longer than that, I don’t yet know.
It’s very comfortable to use and I’m a big fan of the ‘secret’ pocket on the back that can be used to keep things like wallets or slim purses a bit more secure when out and about.

Very well built, lifetime warranty, 30 (at the time of writing, secret compartments, plent of pockets and the pocket + zipper behind the padding on the back which is incredible. Decently comfortable and pretty above average size, still plenty of space though.
I was considering a 50L bag, but I decided against it as was just too big, ended up being a good decision. Not much to hesitate about, good bag + Lifetime warranty and only 30 quid.
Bought this backpack about a month ago to use for work and travelling. First the space it offers is incredible. Space for SO many things. I’ve had cameras iPad kindle power banks spare clothing, tripod wallet passport sunglasses in all at the same time still with room to spare. It he stitching quality doesn’t seem hugely robust but I’ve not encountered any problems so can’t complain, and I’ve not tested the water resistance but have read it’s not the best, so a simple water cover for a few ‘s now lives in the backpack and will solve that problem before it happens, so can’t fault it.
Overall, a fantastic backpack for the price. Don’t hesitate. Just buy it!
This backpack is great and light, I used it on a trip to France for a week, it works well and has plenty of space for its size. It does have a drawback which is when the zips are both at the top and the bag shakes from walking or jogging, it does tend to shake open. I’ve noticed this mostly with the laptop pouch, which is not a good feeling to have your laptop exposed, luckily you can feel it when it happens for the most part. A simple solution to the problem is to have the zips to one side, an easy fix but mildly inconvenient.
Look forward to using it more and testing out it’s durability in the long run.
Having recently started a new job I was surprised not be provided with a method of carrying my newly provided laptop. A quick search on Amazon and look through existing reviews, I decided on purchasing the MATEIN Travel Laptop Backpack – 15.6 Inch Laptop – Grey.
Firstly, just to generalise: this is a great bag!
It provides ample storage throughout and is well compartmentalised: each compartment is aided by the provision of further integrated dividers and pockets – allowing you to keep a range of items without too much movement and them becoming mixed up.
I can adequately carry my laptop and significantly more items than I’ve been able to with other laptop bags – of a similar size – I’ve had in the past, without the bag being too big or cumbersome.
It appears comfortable enough but I only carry it from the carpark to the office and back: I’ve not worn it for prolonged periods.
I’ve only owned the bag for 5 weeks but it appears to be a solid purchase so far.
Excellent backpack for office commute. Can fit laptop, A4 portfolio holder, A4 notebook and other items in easily. Having the three sections makes organising items much easier. Plenty of pockets within the compartments for usb cables, keys etc plus the two side mesh holders for my water & coffee bottles. Seems well made with good zips and a good handle on the top. There were good photos of this product on Amazon to show the various compartments. Many of the big brands did not show photos of the insides of their backpacks, so difficult to judge what interal pockets and compartments they have.
I bought this bag a year ago when I started university and have waited until now to review. This bag is brilliant – I was sceptical given how cheap it is but it is still going strong a year later having been used every day to commute to various hospital sites for placements, and crammed full on several occasions.
The bag is very spacious, I have been able to fit my laptop and uni books as well as clothes, lunchbox etc and the zips have not shown any signs of breakage. There are many pockets and the clip in the front is useful for attaching hand sanitiser, keys etc.
The safety pocket at the back has been great when travelling as you can keep money, passports or other valuables close.
The bag is professional looking and functional, but also good back support if you are walking to work.
Have never used the USB feature so cannot comment on that but great idea.
Best bag I have bought online in a long time and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a plain, sturdy spacious rucksack for work, travel or school.
I bought this bag as I walk to work so have a fair bit to take, laptop, folding laptop stand charger, lunch and some bits and bobs like lip balm, hand cream etc.
With most back packs I had had there is only 1 big compartment then a small front zip but this bag is like the tardis, it’s bigger on the inside! There are 3 main compartments, a laptop compartment, the main compartment and a front compartment and each have loads of little pockets to help keep things organised and not all over the place so long you remember which pocket and compartment you put it in there will be no more digging around in your bag looking for stuff. I also found out it has 3 more secret zips, one on the back for storing valuables and 2 slip zip pockets on the front.
Just to put into picture how big it is I did a 5 day trip to Amsterdam which I packed, 5 t shirts, 5 pair of socks , 5 boxers, a jumper, a scarf, a, shirt, toiletries, travel plug, battery pack and an iPad.
This was one of the best bags I have bought and the price is an absolute steal!!!
I am very happy with this bag. I read loads of reviews and looked at loads of backpacks on Amazon and this one stood out. I would have preferred to be able to go and view these bags first before making that choice but those places do not exist anymore although a local store near me only had cheap products in shop.
This is a good quality backpack which I bought for an upcoming holiday to italy. I run my own business and wanted something to take my tech with me and whilst on holiday to double up as my holiday backpack.
It appears to be very well made, although only time will tell.

Initially I thought it was a wee bit on the expensive side but looking at the bag now in February 2022, and having seen it used I think that whatever perceived initial reservations about the price have now evaporated.
This seems to be a very well designed and made back pack for schooling/college that stands up well to day to day use.
The pack consists of the following (working from the front to back where the pack rests on your back):
(The compartments are listed numerically – as you move through compartments, they get bigger)
There are two external mesh markets to dry wet items or for small water bottles on either side.
1. A zipped expandable pocket just below the rubber ‘Matein’ logo.
2. Small zipped compartment with secondary inner pockets pens, keys, money built in.
3. A larger compartment divided up into three storage areas, two of which are mesh and also has the headphone access port for your data/music storage etc.
4. The last and largest compartment (widest and deepest) for your laptop or large folders are also divided up into two storage areas, the furthest one having a retaining strap held down by Velcro.
Each compartment is separated by a really decently thick material – not flimsy at all really- and at no risk of it being ripped under normal use. There is a thick top heavy duty carrying handle half between the four compartments.
The part of the back pack that rests on the user’s back has two raised mesh shoulder pads at the top and another less heavy weight top carrying handle here too.
The lumbar region has a raised mesh covered pad so that there is air gap on the users’ back to give a little relief from sweat on hot days (the top pads and the bottom ones work together to create this gap). There is also a zipped compartment above the lumbar pad perhaps for valuables to be stored so that they are less less visible.
There is a thin strap going across the middle of the back area of the pack too – maybe to help you to pick it up or you could fold an item of clothing (a jumper perhaps) over it and carry it along between you and the pack.
The shoulder straps are not like (say) a hiking pack – they are more cushioned and don’t look like they’d survive repeated trips into the hills and mountains. However, they are still sturdily attached to the pack after nearly 7 months of use carrying folders, water bottles, coats etc.
I was very impressed by the standard of finish – no loose threads anywhere with very tidy and strong stitching through out which I have not seen on other more well know brands.
So far so very good.
Highly recommended and worth the money I think even against the big brand names I’ve seen in comparison.
There’s 3 main compartments, but a few extra zips and pockets too. First one nearest your back when you carry it, I use for my laptop and any books or cables. It’s got a little sleeve where the laptop slides in (15inch), but i don’t think it could take a bigger 17in laptop (although i haven’t tried). The second compartment feels bigger, and that’s where i usually put either shopping, or my clothes and books when travelling. You can fit shoes in there too, but you need to roll up your clothes to make most of the space.
Two little pockets on the sides you can put water or drinks in, just be careful if you roll around or bend over to tie your shoes, because they can fall out if they’re big bottles. There’s a lot of hidden zips where you can keep important things that you worry about. There is one nice one which is low down on the back of the bag, and when you wear it nobody can see or access it if you’re worried about theft. It’s a nice touch.
I’ve been around the UK with it, and it rains a lot here, the bag is great and keeps everything dry inside.

Perfect for carrying my very old laptop, all cables, and about 10 other files and folders that I need for work.
The different compartments are brilliant and the USB port for a charger is excellent for when you need to use your phone on the go. (Note this does not come with a battery pack)
The side mesh pockets are great for water bottles, I have a slightly larger than average water bottle and thought it wouldn’t fit but it does with a little room to spare.
The key chain is great for holding my several sets of keys.
The hidden pocket is brilliant for your phone/wallet other sensitive items.
If you over fill the very back compartment you need to make sure the zips are located on the sides, mine opened and some files fell out whilst walking but not happened since I ensure the zipper is located at the side whilst full. Or you can padlock them to keep this from happening.
This bag is the best thing I have purchased this year. All my files, laptop, and change of clothes etc that I need for work fit in perfectly and with room to spare!
Obviously the colour, the style of the backpack threw me off a bit however when I got to read the description, the reviews and the images it really sold the backpack to me.
I got it yesterday and despite, yes only 1 day- not the most concrete review, I absolutely LOVE it. There are so many pocket, tons of compartments and it feels so solid and comfortable when wearing it. The straps are so soft and thick – a BIG plus for me, I walk a lot so its important the straps around my arms are padded. The zippers and straps is sturdy, the bag material is great feel to is and I am sure it’ll protect my items from the rain or splatter of water when it may happen.
The back compartment for the laptop is well insulated, the padding is thick so you can rest assure your laptop or tablet will be protected. I love the handle on the top of the bag, again thick and soft.
Overall, I think the price, and the way the backpack is built makes a great all rounder bag for everything. You can’t go wrong with this purchase!
The large bezels on my HP 15.6″ laptop (1-2cm) mean that the zipper can just about struggle to slide over the top of the screen at the corners when zipping, however you can develop a knack for it. For slimmer 15.6″ laptops and anything smaller, they’ll fit like a dream.
There is no padding in the laptop pouch to support the bottom edge of the laptop when the bag is sitting upright, only padding on the back of the bag itself, to support the laptop when the bag lies flat. I solved this pretty easily by buying a cheap 5 pack of microfibre cloths, 2 cloths a little folded underneath the laptop are just the perfect amount of support. That’s really the only con with this bag, but considering it’s so easily addressed, I consider it negligible.
The bag is the most comfortable and well-padded bag I’ve ever owned, and even carrying my heavy 15.6″ laptop around isn’t painful when I use both straps. For lighter laptops and other standard college fare, it’s a breeze. Not only are the straps well padded, but the lower back of the bag is too, which really helps a lot when carrying a heavy laptop or books – because it prevents the laptop bumping into your back and any other sharps from doing the same.
The bag has oceans of space when compared to any other run of the mill bag from Nike etc. In fact, now I wonder how I ever managed using bags with half as much space. I bring my laptop, a folder, 4 books, a pencil case, my headphones, a battery pack, a scarf, various wires… you get the idea. No matter how much I need to bring to work on a day, I always seem to find a space for it in this bag. Maybe if you were going on a big camping trip you might want more, but for any kind of college/work commute I don’t think you can get better than this bag. If anything, if all you ever carry is a small thin and light, one book and a pencil case, the bag might even be too big.
If you want a well supported and comfortable bag, with enough space to carry your college/work gear around, I really recommend this bag. It was worth every penny I paid for it.
