So far been accurate, nice to have stickers but duplicate stickers could be nicer, used in the heat and nice to see the differences between each room.
I gave my dad when the leaves for his birthday last year and still going and he loves it the real-time weathe
Well packaged and secure. Easy enouh to set up and accuracy is about as close as you’ll get, certainly more than sufficient for my needs. (Sensor 1 was already outside). Main indoor unit is a good size, nice and compact and easy to read, slightly smaller than my previous one, fits nicely on the kitchen window. Would definitely recommend.
We live in Cornwall in a 1930s build within 400m of the sea…. 70% plus humidity indoors is pretty standard throughout the winter and yeah, mould too!
Together with a desiccant ( as operating mostly below 16’C ) dehumidifier after a month of fine tuning we’re under 60% and mould is slowly losing!
Only thing I would strongly recommend is for the outdoor sensor buying the 12 at time of review sensor box. I made one from a butter tub which after some trial and error has not impacted upon the readings, it also keeps the Seagull poop off it!
Really love this item keeps a eye on my greenhouse temp and garden so plants are grea
Bought this unit as a replacement for an Oregon system which I had used for many years (main display unit stopped working). Very easy to set up. Checked all sensors by placing in the same location to check accuracy (temp within 0.5C and humidity within 2%). Have the remote sensors in my greenhouse (approx. 15m from display), shed (5m away with 4 walls between it and main display) and in my conservatory. Have had no problems with signal strength. Display easy to understand and has the advantage of showing all remote sensors at all times (Oregon unit only displayed 1 sensor at a time). I’m very impressed so far and it will be interesting to see what it’s life expectancy will be, Oregon lasted for almost 25 years – no I do not work for Oregon Scientific :-). Would definitely recommend this device.
Our old weather station (bought 95) was showing signs of wear (outdoor sensor) so we invested in this model with the three sensors. It works very well, in fact during December we put our turkey in the garden shed during the cold weather & monitored the temperature, we were surprised by the range.
The Q7 is a great product for indoor/outdoor use – accurate and easier to read than previous models. Customer service from Newentor is first class.
Thanks! David HR
Using for temperature info inside and external so as to assist in regulating heating requirements for the house
Seems well made and all sensors within the accuracy stated. Sensors will need protecting from the weather ( have no weather seals around batteries) but reading reviews I bought a housing for the one I will use outside. A bonus is that I found a way to calibrate the air pressure reading to compensate for altitude that is not mentioned in the instructions. Easy to set up.
a) It would be great if the device could be plugged into the mains, rather than being wholly dependant on AA batteries, and
b) The various sensors have a dedicated read-out on the main screen, and the adhesive labels that indicate the source of the data come pre-printed – but the words “Potting Shed”, “Greenhouse”, or “Outhouse” are NOT amongst the options…. which is a bit strange, since these will be the most common sites for the sensors.
Apart from these quibbles, it’s a good device and looks as if it’ll do the job.
easy to use and set up. A minor problem was that it but conflicted with our existing 2 location weather station which it was meant to augment not render inoperable
This was a present. I did not realise that 8 AA batteries were also required.
Another negative is that the base station does not have the option of running off the mains – therefore no perrmanat lit-up display.
If I’d known this, I would have chosen the “other make” that has a mains lead option supplied.
All sensors work and good clear display. Seems pretty accurate and good to have 3 peripheral Sensors.
I am very pleased with this weather station which I purchased to replace an Oregon Scientific. So far I am very pleased with it. It is easy to read and the sensors were easy to set up. I would definitely recommend.
Nice neat handy little weather station, which can be sited on your desk or any other appropriate place. It is operated by radio signal, so you don`t have to do much setting up, only to putting the batteries in it. I have placed the senders in various parts my property from the coldest to the warmess part of my property and I am pleased with the results.
It just works. Easy to setup, been working 2 weeks so far,no trouble at all. Sensors are about 10meters apart in various directions from the main device, even through concrete wall, connection is there.
The main one is that it provides a 24-hour min-max setting to enable the user to see the range of temperatures and humidity over the period, but it resets automatically at midnight. I’m not sure there are many people who would stay up until midnight to examine the day’s range. It would be far more useful for there to be a manual reset button, so the figures could reviewed, for example first thing in the morning or last thing at night.
I’m also having problems with one of the remote sensors which I would have thought to be in range, but that me down to me and I have to play around a bit more with locations, but as this is outside the options are limited.
This is an ideal basic weather station. Has 3 external sender units which means you can see temperature in 4 different locations – great. Black and white display makes for easy reading – who needs colour? Easy to set up – worked fine first time. Temperature readings seem to be pretty good when I compered them with other units at the same spots. Very good value.
Purchased to replace a device from a different manufacturer which had failed after a few years and was no longer available. Having 3 remote sensors is a great benefit for doing comparative temperature readings as even different places in the garden vary by a surprising amount.
Basically does what it’s supposed to do. Only problem I have experiences is that I haven’t managed to find anything which will actually write on the location labels.
Great value, easy to read & set up .Remember that the forecast displayed is not present time but for 8 12 hrs in front. So far it’s been pretty accurate, although I’m not keeping records lol. Yes I can recommend this weather station.
a) It seems to have a UK standard MSF radio clock, some of the alternatives receive the time from a German transmitter which can cause problems in some parts of the UK.
b) The display is an LCD. This means that even though it’s battery powered the display is on all the time so I can glance at it as I pass by, and don’t have to press a button to wake it up. I’d much rather have a monochrome display that’s always on, than a fancy colour display that goes to sleep to save power.
c) It comes with 3 sensors, so I put two in the garden and one in the greenhouse.
I don’t know how well the sensors will survive outside in the garden in the long term, but so far I’m very pleased.
I was surprised I had to set the weather coz I thought that it will be connected to weather forecast or had sensor inside!!! Left it for 8-12 hrs but the weather I put in according to weather forecast didn’t update on screen even thought weather changed completely!!!
Purchased this to replace an Oregon Scientific system when the base station failed.
The display is not quite as clear but on the plus side it does have an accurate clock.
However having sold all of the sender units (on a well known auction site) from the old system for more than I paid for this I’m very pleased.
Gave this to my mum. She uses all of the monitors and looks at the unit daily. Great product.
Easy to setup and implement. Maybe display could be brighter, but its OK. Generally very pleased.
I bought this to replace my old ClimeMet device which had stopped working. This works very well indeed and I can keep an eye on outdoor temperatures along with those in three rooms. It is not too large and is easy to read.
A good device for seeing the temperature in garden outbuildings, especially as seedlings are growing. Shows all the sensors at the same time. Batteries seem to last well.
Clear and accurate readings even through walls.
Easy to set up and you can use and set up as many of the three sensors as you wish.
Newentor support were quick to respond in clearing this up.
I emailed Newentor on a weekend and received a replacement by the Monday – excellent rapid service with emails to check all was in order.
All x3 sensors lined up in the same location with the main unit gave very similar readings and well within any limits for my use.
Having had a few weather stations, I waited a few days to do this review of the Newentor and, I am pleased to say, I am very happy with the unit design, presentation of the information on screen, and sensor accuracy.
Well done I would certainly recommend this to anybody thinking of purchasing one.
This product is great there are 3 separate sensors so you can monitor everywhere in the house. Good price and quality
I had a couple of quires and contacted by e/m the service department.
Reply was within the hour….. would like to thank Alyssa for sorting things out.
So far very happy with purches…. had sent 2 differant makes back as first 1 sensor would
not conect 2nd failed after 1 day…. seems a jeneral problem.
Barometric pressure needs to be calibrated – use the Internet to establish the current value in your area and put that figure in your base unit to set it up.
Hi there,
I like the item except stickers on the bottom of the screen they should be digital too.
Excellent product for monitoring humidity, temperature etc in the home, garage and outdoors.
Easy to set up, time automatically set for you when you power it up, and when all 3 sensors were beside each other, they all gave the same temperature.
I needed a way to track the temperature in the house & this was perfect. I had looked at one with a B/T connection, but it did not have as many external sensors.
This was easy to set up and all sensors have a reasonable degree of accuracy with all 3 and base station showing a temperature within +/- 0.3 C.
