Hard for one person to do.door very flimsy. Keeps getting stuck and won’t close
This was easy enough to build. More parts than other material sheds. It was packed and labeled really well. There was one bit where the holes didn’t quite line up but was easy enough to remedy. I would suggest on the inside to get some protection for the cross beams.
Fairly easy for diyer to put up, could do with 2 people. Very lightweight, but looks good. Hopefully will last, been up a few months now and is doing OK.
Probably a little challenging for someone with limited DIY experience. The build time for even experienced DIY enthusiasts is extremely presumptive. It’s 5 hours between 3 people possibly 4 for 4 people. The Quality is fine which being sheet metal was doubtful until built. Make sure each step is followed to ensure any mistakes can be checked prior to moving forward. Especially when erecting the roof section. Even building a second one having completed the first couldn’t be done in the stipulated time. Overall pleased with the finished product.
Putting the shed together was very difficult. The instructions not very well explained. I’ve no complaints about the quality of my shed so overall reasonably satisfied with price and quality.
I expected the sheets to be bigger but it comes in boxes, took 2 people to put the shed together but instructions were good.So happy with the shed.Good quality and so much space to store my things .
It will take 2 competant people all day to finish it off. Oh
And throw the screwdriver they supply in the bin and use a drill driver and pliers. And wear gloves some sections will slice you for sure. I lost 3 fingers and my mrs lost her thumb but be are happy with the overall finish!!
Weather proof yes and sturdy once up loads of screws and bolts
Easy to assemble no it took longer than expected
Someone said 3hrs with two off us more like 5hrs
Institutions okay to follow could be improved
However the finished article is good and dry
he service from the seller was brilliant, after an initial short delivery, the courier not the sellers issue, the seller responded quickly and positively to all question and even offered to ship the missing box of item FoC. The shed itself is exactly as described and great value for the money
Great product. It’s taken us about 12 hours to assemble. Best to take your time and not rush it. Instructions very good very happy with the finished produc
Very difficult to assemble and understand instructions. You definitely need 3 – 4 adults to assemble shed. It takes a lot longer than the recommended 3 hours! It would also help if the screws were put into individually labelled bags.
We found if you just pull out the pieces needed to complete each section of the build, you can’t go far wrong.
We built it over two days, maybe a total of 6 hours.
When putting the roof sheets on remember that the smallest hole goes underneath, we had to back track when we discovered that.
It is watertight and looks good.
We had a problem with the doors, they kept catching on the screws securing the front panels, we had to grind them down to stop that.
In all it’s a good shed for the price.
Dislike all the boxes it came in the instructions was not simple to understand there was loads of screws left over and the piece on the floor that the doors run through does not get screwed to the rest of the shed
The manual is extremely poor and I had to remove and replace a few parts that had gone in the wrong way round.
Having said all that it’s up now (after 2 days mainly on my own) and I’m happy with it.
TIPS!
Put the bolts into the centre of the wall panels as you go.
Don’t screw pieces together if there is going to be an additional piece added later as you’ll end up unscrewing again.
Remember big screw hole on top little one underneath.
And be prepared to drill a few holes yourself as some don’t line up…
Good luck! It’s worth the money for sure just be prepared for some gruelling, fiddly work!
Instructions could have been a bit clearer , sturdy worth the money
Like a giant Meccano set definitely need 2 people to build it and you must follow the instructions carefully.
Found it quite easy to put together. Not the most robust shed ever but ok for the money
ot expected till january i will let you know how the construction goes in the new yea
The shed is fine door way low and I keep hitting my head on “Sharp head rail”. On the hole not too bad.
The positives:
1) The shed looks nice. Well far nicer than we expected. We went for metal (as opposed to wood or plastic) for the fact we could get a larger shed for cheaper, so we can fit all our bikes in. We were therefore initially prepared to compromise on the look so we were pleasantly surprised with the appearance.
2) Size. Similar to the above the shed is fairly large and can easily fit in 4 or 5 bikes. It’s just possible to stand in the middle but it’s not the sort of shed you’d stay in for long anyway – more a storing kind of shed.
3) Price. It’s very good value for money when you start looking at the price of similarly sized wooden or plastic sheds.
4) Security. This is an ‘odd’ one but again an unexpected benefit is that it’s too noisy to steal from. We set up security cameras, padlocks, chains and so on then realised opening the sliding doors is so loud that you’ll wake half the neighbourhood up if you choose to park your bike in there after around 7pm!
The negatives:
Only one really which is the construction. I’m sure this is mentioned countless times elsewhere in product reviews but if you’ve grown accustomed to IKEA assembly instructions you’re not going to be happy. To cut a long story short the labelling of the various pieces with codes is fine but the illustrations are very poorly executed. Often it’s impossible to decipher what piece goes where by looking at the diagrams and it becomes quicker to ignore the drawings and use trial and error. The total assembly time was around 12 hours over 3 days. Of course, some will be faster and, certainly some will be even slower than us.
In conclusion-
Fiddly pieces, very poor illustrations in the instructions and vastly more time needed to assemble than the 3 hrs they claim.
Very nice look (in our opinion), secure due to the excessive noise when opening/closing which would surely put off any would-be thief (the noise could also be a disadvantage I suppose), good price and good size.
Would we buy another one if we need more storage space? The short answer is yes.
Would we pay someone else to build it if we could go back in time? Yes, definitely!
Hi this shed is great for keeping all your gardening equipment/furniture in. It is a shed that is not suitable for constant use. The height of the door is only about 5ft in height so anyone that is much taller should “watch thier head”.
its a shed for outside to keep bikes and things i
