Simple enough to put together, took me less than 15 mins.
It does not stay perfectly square, which can make putting the top oven bit on correctly difficult when it is hot.
If you burn wood in the bottom to heat the pizza stone, you get lots of carbon deposit on the stone which does not want to clean off.
Once you have a good fire going you get 30-60 mins of cooking time with a bit on on going poking and feeding of the flames.
Would I purchase again, yes I would, but if I was going to get serious about a pizza oven I would get a gas unit.
Lovely addition to the garden ,great fun cooking pizzas flat breads and so much more ,
Get yourself a cast iron skillet as a must for cooking fajita steak etc.
Only downside is by the time the base is cooked the veg was a little undercook , very yummy though .
Maybe cook your veg beforehand
Small but efficient.. I normally cook the pizzas for a couple of minutes on the stone then place them on a tray so don’t burn.. can go all evening cooking pizzas .. have been having pizza parties and get normally 15-20 pizzas cooked in the evening.. all perfect and so quick.. just needs to get used to how hot you need it, how much fire etc so you don’t burn them ..
Easy to use and assemble! First time making pizza tastes great!
We’re loving our pizza oven. There is a bit of learning curve to get it right. You have to pull the pizza stone out about an inch so the flames can heat the back of the oven. Our biggest problem is getting the assembled pizza off the pizza peel and onto the stone.
As for everything it is graded on it’s aces. I struggled too get the top of the pizza to cook. This is all operator issues not on the item. Also, as a side note make sure you have multiple spatulas to assemble and cook with / serve. It’s had to navigate assembly of the pizza and serving the pizza unless you are doing just one.
The item was choice! Quality of the wrapping was optimal. Exceptionally swift delivery. Recommended.
This is amazing. Perfect for camping, made a lovely bbq, makes great pizzas (just need to make sure stone is right temperature) but also a lovely, safe, contained fire pit. Easy clean, easy storage, easy travel. Also used at home for pizza nights but 100% anyone who enjoys camping should have this.
This was a gift but it looks great and easy to assemble it’s not been used yet but it was happily received as a house warning gif
Happy with product and easy to use .delivery was on time
We took this camping with us it was perfect for our getaway and perfect for the garden! Easy to use and pizzas were amazing full of taste and ready to pack up the next morning! Easily movable.
Love this pizza oven ! It is so easy to use and the pizza is delicious!
I love this gift!
It was amazing and fun gift!
Assembly is easy, make a fire, put oven part on top to heat stone. Make your pizza or calzone, then slip it inside…people have said hard to control fire it goes out but 1 have fire and coal base established and of course when you put the top on it will die down some and smoke more at first you ate cutting the oxygen supply to the fire. As for maintaining fire 1 you can lift by handle to toss it more sticks or whatever but I just break sticks up and feed right through the front and back hand openings. Make sure to use plenty of flour on the stone and pizza peel so your pizza/calzone etc. Is easier to place in and remove. For the price a great buy!
We were overjoyed with how perfect the size and the way that it cooks the pizza!
Worked better than expected for the price!
We use premade crust and fresh dough
It works great with both!
About 9 min per pizza
Well made and easy to assemble. Found it good to get the fire going and pizza stone heated up nicely. Liked it so much that bought a second one to raffle off for local charity! Not too big either for taking to picnic/ beach.
This the absolute best for camping. We grilled steaks and porkchops as well as baked pizza. All were fabulous
This is an outdoor family dream. We can bake pizza, remove the oven and make smores. Yum times ten.
Easy to assemble
Fired it up with some wood then added charcoal to keep an even heat
10 minutes later delicious pizza
Took 5 mins to put together. Good quality and looks like it will last a long time. Like the fact that it’s a Pizza oven, bbq and Fire pit all in one.
Need a pizza oven? How about a bbq?
This is the Pizzello Stainless Steel Outdoor Pizza Oven / Bbq, Comes With Pizza Stone, Pizza Peel, Cover And Grill. Measures 14.7 x 12.2 x 12.4″ And Weighs 23.2lbs.
This pizza oven comes in parts, you need to assemble the fire pit / bbq part, the pizza oven is fully assembled. It is easy, just screws to insert into holes, simple. Oh you have to screw the handle to ash tray and pizza peel / paddle. When done I was very surprised how solid it was, brilliant.
You get a grill to use as a bbq and there is a pull out ash trash for easy disposal.
We used as a bbq firstly, just put one bag of easy lighting charcoal in and 20 mins later it was ready. The holes force the air in and out, ensuring the cooking temp is maximised, brilliant. My sausages were ready within 6 minutes, possibly the fastest sausage I’ve ever had!
I do have a little grumble, the grill doesn’t really sit flush against the screws, you’d expect a better fit for the price you are paying.
The pizza oven is a beauty, we just used wraps with mozzarella and toppings. I just put oven on top after bbq, and these pizza wraps were ready in 10 mins, the stone had to heat up, or it would be quicker. What an item!
Then when you are finished with it, clean and cover. Awesome.
Overall I’d thoroughly recommend this item, more so if you get on offer. As it is a fantastic all rounder.
This is very good as a pizza oven. It doesn’t have legs so we put ours on top of a BBQ and it was just the right height to get to. We use pullets for the pizzas and it worked very well and was dead easy to use, we managed to cook four, but it could probably have done a few more.
It also doubles up as a BBQ, for which I used charcoal, although I didn’t think that much of it as it is quite difficult to adjust the height. You can either have it quite low or very high, but once it’s in a position, the shelf is very difficult to move so you are basically stuck in the first position you chose.
For this reason, going forward I’ll just use this as a pizza oven. But I expect it will see regular use.
Nice construction, good paint, great value.
It’s a firebox with a grilling grate and a stack-on pizza enclosure.
Does what it says. My only complaint is that the box does warp slightly if it gets too hot (mine was at 900F as measured with an IR thermometer) from thermal expansion making the mounting of the pizza enclosure a little difficult.
Only advice: if making a pizza, let the pizza enclosure (with stone) heat up for at least 15 minutes before sliding pizza inside.
I saw this pizza oven pop up, but never in my life did I feel that I needed a pizza oven. Sure, during lockdowns and restrictions my pizza making skills rival that of Mr. Papa John and Ms. Domino. I be sprinkling that grated cheese like I’m Cheese BAE.
Anyway, when this appeared I thought “What the hey?”, it’s summer and outdoor eating season, so I fired off an order.
This thing was fairly easy to put together and is very intuitive. Once built it’s a decent size if your outdoor party is only for one or two people. The oven is compact and you’re not getting an extra extra large pizza in there, plus, as it only takes one pizza at a time, there will be waiting times if you have a large gathering.
However, this thing cooks pizza to near perfection, it’s so good that you’ll likely never want to use your regular kitchen oven for pizza ever again, including in the winter!
Now, this thing can also be used as a BBQ for your chicken, burgers, and whatnot, we’ve yet to try this, but see no reason why it would perform other than as expected.
Price wise this is a shade under 100 which is, well, pricey, you’ll need to be eating plenty pizza to get your money worth. That said, this is well built and cooks pizza like a demon…
If you love crunchy crispy good pizza Dave portnoy would be impressed with I would buy this sucker for dad
This was a Father’s Day gift and was the perfect gift. It is super easy to put together and very easy to use. It did burn the bottom of the pizza a little bit on the first try but once you get the temperature down it works perfectly.
This pizza oven can be heated by wood, pellets, or coal. So far I have only used wood but it heats up great and provides a wonderful flavor to the crust.
Had a hitch putting together but once completed I was really pleased with it.
It is a great pizza oven and BBQ.
Peel includes for placing pizza
I can also use on a cool evening as a fire pit.
Only used the pizza oven so far I got a radar thermometer so it got up the right temperature.
There are are varies fuels you can use wood, charcoal or pellets.
It is totally portable and comes with its own cover.
If your limited for space this is perfec
When this arrived, extremely well packed, my husband was keen to assemble it. For the most part, the instructions were excellent thought here’s an odd perspective in one place when screws are required where they don’t show on the sketch. Nevertheless, it’s straightforward and intuitive. As you assemble the oven, you begin to appreciate how well engineered it is. Though it’s a budget model compared to many, quality has not been sacrificed. All required screws and an allen key come with the pack, as does a pizza peel and a waterproof cover.
It’s small, suitable for a couple, like us, and takes one pizza at a time. It’s great fun to eat your first pizza while watching the next one cooking. Because it’s low when sited on the ground, my husband built a sturdy stand for it, but an old metal garden table would do. Not wood. Our oven stands on a small paving slab.
I have to tell you it cooks like a dream. We haven’t tried it as a barbecue yet but it looks like it’ll do the job perfectly. With the oven and pizza stone, the bottom crust is crisp, while the rest is cooked through but not hard. We really love it. I make my own pizza bases from a bread dough mix, but it would cook a shop bought one just as well. We’ve looked at pizza ovens before but they’re mostly too big just for the two of us. If you use wood as the fuel, and have a big garden or live in the county, you can collect your own firewood, which makes it economical to run. Garlic bread next!
We got this for my husband for Father’s day. He was thrilled! Took maybe 15-20 minutes to assemble. He used charcoal to make the fire. The pizza was good. Easy peasy!
I flow with it in a duffle bag half way around the world to a third world country where my cook uses fire wood on a concrete slab. great improvement and makes a good pizza and breads. easy to assemble and extremely well packed
I had issues with the assembly of the walls with first one. However, the owners listened to my issues and graciously sent me a replacement. This is great customer service! This is the best travel pizza oven/mini grill for the price! Use it in your backyard, camping, or tailgating! I love this and you won’t beat the price! Thank you Pizzello! I am a customer for life and I can’t wait to see your future products!!!
Could probably be better with a lager pizza peel because I’m clumsy, and make sure to use flower so things don’t stick.
I bought this because, why not. It’s a fun little pizza oven for a great price. I like making pizza with this and so does the family, makes a great crispy pizza. Would be worth looking into to play around with.
Super easy to assemble, nice and sturdy, cook cookies , pizza, hot pockets all kinds of things. And it actually looks cool too.
When the wind blows the smoke created from this fine oven, the neighborhood will line up for a slice!!!
we made pizza so far/ its quick and easy to assemble.
1. I am putting latches on the side of the base and top for easy transport.
Like it only used only 1 just got it Wish it was little bigge
I suggest getting a temperature gun..took a couple tries to get it just right, but it’s great when you have the right temp. Used with wood, so it was too hot at first. We also used the grill top a few times for burgers, dogs and steaks. Grea
This is my first time using this oven. I wanted to test out how hot I can get it as well as to see how much it can withstand. So far I got the box up to 900+ and the stone to 550+. I placed a paver over the back hole slightly to keep some of the heat in but it’s not fully covered. I also slid the stone forward slightly to allow for heat to rise into the oven since there is no vent for that. I don’t see any paint peeling or anything. And people saying they can’t get it hot should watch YouTube vids on how to build a fire.
I’ll update my review after I cook a pizza in here but so far so good.
Bought this as a gift and had issues with assembling. Contacted the seller and they responded quickly with clear directions 🙂
It’s a great sturdy oven but you can only make pizzzas big enough for personal size. I thought I could make them bigger. But still great!
We are so happy with our pizza oven. Our Friday night pizza nights only got better once we got the oven. Cooks so fast compared to our old one.
The company has amazing customer service. I was blown away by their willingness to help. That’s something that seems to be lost with many companies today. If I could give them more stars I would.
