It’s quite light, so if you had very valuable things to store you’d probably want to screw it to the wall (it comes with the bolts to do that). I keep a lot of keys for my job, and sometimes received cash and have to look after it for a little while. For something basic like that it’s a really good home safe. The size we bought, has to option of an interior shelf as well which is good if you’ve got lots of little bits to store. I don’t think it would be fire/smoke proof, as it’s got some vent holes in it, so bear that in mind if you want to store precious documents etc. overall I’m really pleased with the product.

I am not a rich person by any means, but I have certain items that are for my family when it’s my time to leave this world, this safe fits securely into a well hidden place & I can have peace of mind that the contents will stay safe & secure.

Il mio utilizzo per custodire le pistole e le munizioni a norma di legge: per questo perfetta. Ho apprezzato molto il fatto che la chiave e relativa serratura di emergenza siano abbastanza sicure, non forzabili immediatamente con un cacciavite come ad esempio le chiavi “giocattolo” a matrice tonda. Non si pu definire una vera cassaforte ad alta protezione ma un eventuale malintenzionato per aprirla avrebbe bisogno di uno strumento di taglio elettrico per tagliare i cardini facendo rumore; oppure potrebbe asportarla ma volendo si pu imbullonare la mobile o al muro per renderla difficilmente asportabile. Se poi l’abitazione protetta con un sistema di allarme come nel mio caso, le norme di legge per la custodia delle armi sono pi che rispettate.
L’impostazione del codice di apertura semplicissimo; la tastiera con tasti in gomma sono ben utilizzabili anche con mani grandi e una luce conferma la pressione del tasto; il “beep” dei tasti della tastiera disattivabile per rendere le operazioni di apertura silenziose; c’ un ripiano interno amovibile. Una volta impostato il codice corretto si sblocca il lucchetto interno e per un termpo di circa 5 secondi possibile ruotare la manopola di apertura. Per il momento tutto funziona regolarmente e la ricomprerei senza esitazione.

The safe is a good size, good price and meets all my needs for storing leaders and childrens valuables whilst running activities at our scout hut.
My only feedback was that the first time I ordered the safe it was damaged. The safe had clearly been dropped or stored incorrectly at some point and I was unable to open the safe door because the frame was bent out of shape. After returning the safe I ordered a second one which was also damaged in the same way but this time it was the rear of the safe that had the dent and so the door could still open. Because the damage was minor and I could still use the safe I decided to not return the second one but I was not best pleased that such a nice product has clearly been misshandled along the delivery line.

Definitely recommend, great mid sized safe and extremely easy to install and use.
Easy to fix in place. Changing lock code could not be simpler.
I had to purchase this item (or something similar) in order to comply with a particular order imposed upon me, but it was just spot on for the intended purpose.
For my job, I wanted something as small as possible as it would take up as little space as possible in the fixing location.
The price was excellent for what you get and I couldn’t be happier with the final job. The bolts it came supplied with weren’t up to my standard, nor was the fact it only came with two (unit came predrilled with two holes on the back, as well as two on the bottom of the safe.
I purchased 4 x 100mm x 8mm Thunder bolts and drilled the rear of the unit with 4 x new holes, each 8mm dia. and mounted it more securely than could have been done with the supplied fixings.
I’d love to upload photos of the finished job, however this will not be for reasons of security.
To summarise – I’d certainly buy this safe again and have recommended others in a similar position to do likewise.

It comes with an easy to programme keypad and a key. It has a shelf that splits the safe making it easy to store lots of items.
I would definitely recommend for use in the home.
This came in a strong cardboard box that protects it well, as did the internal packaging.
This is a wall/floor safe that is big enough for a small amount of documents, jewelry and electronics. All your average household valuables should fit inside this no problem, although a laptop will not.
Body construction is metal as you would expect, with 2 x 20mm hardened locking bolts.
Access is via numeric pad or key. The keypad takes 4 AA batteries. The pad feedback system is clear, letting you know the condition of the alarm and power.
Mounting options are varied due to it’s small size, and use as a floor safe is perfectly possible.
For the price of about 40 this is a good product, and I have no complaints.
As long as it’s big enough for your needs (8.5L is less than you’d think) then this is well worth considering, especially if you want multiple people to be able to access the contents (using the keypad).

I really like this safe!, it is solid in build and i just wish i had ordered the next size up to keep more in it. Very handy and safe in the knowledge i have an exact place for important bits and pieces that i need keeping super safe.
I am actually going to build a proper spot for this to sit in and am just really impressed with it.

It arrives very well packaged, is also very weighty, and it arrived quickly.
For the money you can not go wrong. You have 4 holes at the bottom to secure it to a floor etc but so has 4 holes in the back to secure it to a wall.
Quality wise the steel is strong but the reality is it is a safe for under 100 so it wouldn’t stop a serious thief but certainly a great detergent for a random burglar or is you are living with friends or kids it is more than enough to keep you items safe.

The safe is very heavy and comes with screws to attach to a wall. This is a great security feature, which is absent in the other safes I have tried. There are two opening methods – keypad and keys (2 supplied). The front cover pops off to reveal the lock for the key. This is a basic safe, so don’t expect it to be impenetrable… but with proper placement and a good passcode, this should be adequate for basic needs.
The instructions to set up are easy to follow took less than 5 minutes to set up.
It is more spacious than I had thought it would be.
There are plenty of backup features, there are holes through the back and base give you the options of bolting it through the back or base of a wardrobe etc. The keys are really handy if you forgot your code or the batteries just drained, works with 4 AA batteries.
This is a great size safe and just what we needed. It’s definitely sturdy and great quality! Comes with keys so if the batteries die on the electronic lock, or you forget the code, you can still get into the safe. It has mounting holes on the back and the bottom, allowing different options for securing it. It’s heavy weight. Will hold a decent amount of stuff too!
Looking for a new small safe for storing some documents, but not wanting to spend the earth or have internet/smarthome connectivity, then this is a good option.
The safe came in a substantial cardboard box with the safe well secured with polystyrene packaging. The safe is a matte black finish and is well made using steel and having no sharp edges. It weighs a reasonable 6Kg and can be secured to wall/floor to prevent anyone from picking it up. You also get a couple of blade type backup keys and some expansion screws for mounting.
The locking mechanism is a digital touch pad with a rotating lock. To secure the door shut it has 2 thick bolts that slide across. As mentioned, there is also a manual key backup in case the batteries are depleted before being changed. This is accessed from a covered key slot which is fairly difficult to open (hopefully you will never need it though).
In use for nearly a month so far and the batteries are still full so I am hopeful they will last a ling time.
For those worried about setting the code, the instructions are clear on how to complete (the reset button is only accessible with the door open) and took seconds. It is nice to see clear instructions which are in a font size that does not require a telescope to read.
Some of the plastics used do look a little cheap, but do not detract from how well they work.
The one thing this safe is not (and it really wouldn’t be given the low price) is fire and water proof. It has holes in it for mounting and is not sealed in any way but as I said, given its low price, I would not be expecting this either.
This safe isn’t the largest or most robust. I imagine that somebody who knows what they’re doing would have your possessions freed without too much trouble.
That said, this would make a good decoy to keep somewhere people might look, under the bed, back of a wardrobe etc – throw in some costume jewellery to make it rattle when picked up and hope that any would-be thief will grab this and run instead of rummaging through your things any further and finding stuff that’s actually valuable.
It’s not fireproof or waterproof so I wouldn’t trust it with anything really valuable.

This is a basic safe so it’s important to manage expectations when reviewing such item. It’s not designed to hold a lot of stuff and not designed to hold too valuable stuff…but I guess someone who needs to put away millions in cash is not reading this review anyway. It’s not fire or waterproof but it can still stop someone getting to your stuff. It comes with two manual override keys should the batteries die. Setting up was easy enough too. There is a felt lining at the bottom of the safe nothing fancy just to prevent scrathes to jewelry/electronics and such if you leave them in your safe…but I guess if you have something very valuable then you’d use extra padding/box/cover to protect it. The safe can be and should be bolted down. There are holes at the bottom and the back for you to do this and some bolts and wall plugs are included too. If not bolted down it’s pretty much useless as it is light enough for anybody (except kids) to run away with. And mentioning kids…that’s what I think this safe is good for. Small families who want to store some stuff safe where kids can’t get to them and stop the occasianal inexperienced burglar 🙂 I think the price reflects this as well and it’s a good starter kit.
A decent safe for the price. It is well enough made and the ability to open with a key or a code is useful but you get what you pay for so not sure I would trust it for anything of high value. More useful for important documents I think. It comes with a pair of bolts to fix it to a wall and I think that is essential as it would be easy to walk off with it. There is also the possible issue that a safe maybe points to where the valuables are so would ensure that it is well hidden as well.
I haven’t got too many valuables knocking about the place(potentail burglars please note) but a strong safe is a good place to store that stuff that you’re always putting down God knows where and not finding again for days. It’s a hefty thing, I only wish I had a suitable hole in the wall behind some bland painting to store it in, like in all those movies. It came with the keys locked inside which maybe isn’t the best idea ever.

The build quality is excellent – it’s spacious despite its compact size, robust, and durable. The door has a tight fit and is surrounded by the box’s thick frame, so it’s difficult to pry open.
The safe comes with two keys, which is a great plus but makes it very easy to misplace them or place them in obvious areas (so watch out!).
I love that the reset button is inside the safe and with absolutely no access to it from outside. My previous safe had its reset button near the back of the safe, and there was a tiny hole at the back that led to it and could be accessed with a wire or paper clip to reset the safe.
I had it mounted on my wall in no time, and it’s very sturdy. The fact that it’s on the wall makes it more difficult to possibly break into as well.
Really high quality and versatile safe. Would be happy to recommend.

The safe looks very strong. It is made of solid steel. I keep my valuables in it. It has enough capacity. Can open it with the keys or digital code.
This safe box can be easily installed. In addition, it comes with mounting hardware. It already has mounting holes so you will just have to mount it on a shelf or closet. It’s suitable for home and office. It will provide you safety and security.
I like its construction. It is better than my previous one. The size is also perfect for our needs. I would recommend it.
At 42.99 (August 2021) this is a very good value budget home safety deposit box that I’m completely satisfied with. It’s exactly the quality I would expect for the price.
It is strong and sturdy. There are two bolt holes on the base and two more on the back. It comes supplied with masonry raw plug type things, so you may need alternative for bolting into other materials like I did.
The safe is heavy duty enough and the walls have a good thickness all round.
There are two sliding bolts which are nice and heavy duty too.
The door is protected by PIN entry. It’s simple to set up and choose a PIN. The keypad has the option of a beep or silent entry. I did find it odd that you can change that whilst the Safe is closed. I feel it would be better if you could only turn off the sound when the door is open.
There are two keys supplied for emergency access. The port for key access is hidden under a plastic face plate that can be easily removed by hand. The keys are handy for if the PIN is forgotten or the battery powered PIN pad has run out of power after a long period of inactivity. I’ll keep my spare keys off the property to avoid unauthorised access.
The PIN pad will give you plenty fo advance warning for a low battery when you type the code in to avoid this though.
Inside there is a thin but substantial enough bit of felt along the base.
The safe has been finished nicely with a good layer of powder coating black paint.
This is pretty good value for money, I found it easy to set up, simple install 4 aa batteries (not included) and then press the little red button on the back of the door until it beeps, then chose a code, that’s it, if you forget the code there is a little panel you can remove from the front and use a key, you get two keys supplied, build quality is great for a small safe and it has back and bottom mounting holes, the only thing I’m not so keen on was the supplied expansion bolts, but this is easily stored with a couple from the local hardware place, all in all, top marks from me
I’d not considered a home safe before I saw this compact 8.5L/0.3 cubic feet capacity version from RPNB. When I was growing up we had a large sized old looking safe at home stored in the pantry. My family had a couple of market stalls and later a greengrocery shop and the safe would be used to store the takings in prior to depositing them in the bank.
This is much smaller, resembling the kind of safes you’d find in hotels. But it is strong and very well made – pretty heavy too. It is very well packaged in a sturdy branded cardboard box padded in polystyrene with plastic formers to the corners and arrived in perfect condition without any damage.
The safe comes complete with an instruction manual which is clear, concise, well written and easy to follow. The electronic aspect of the safe is operated by 4 new AA alkaline batteries – not supplied. A backup set of 2 keys is included. You could use either method to lock and unlock the item.
For less than 40 at time of writing, this RPNB home safe is extremely good value. Two masonry bolts in the package allow it to be fixed to the wall if preferred. Just be aware that the seller says the safe is neither fireproof nor waterproof – and it shouldn’t be exposed to extreme heat or cold.
When I started to unpack this RPNB Deluxe Safe and Lock Box, Money Box, Perfect for Home Office, Hotel Business, Jewelry, or Cash Storage I was prepared to be disappointed but really I should not have been. While it is no “Fort Knox” it is without doubt a well designed, well engineered home safe. As long as it is well secured then there should be no problems.
The safe is digitally controlled with manual security keys acting as a back-up. If I say it is very like the safes you get in the better class hotels then most people will have a pretty good idea of what I am talking about. There are two pairs of holes to secure the safe to either a wall or to the floor.
Setting up is quick and easy. with a really excellent manual to keep you on track and further assistance on the website and by email.

Well made and good size safe very heavy and secure. Easy to set up the code or use the key depending on your preference . Ideal for home use as it’s bog enough to keep your passports etc in along with a money box. Would recommend this
This is a strong heavy-duty safe. It is very heavy and has 2 dead lock bolts that you can see when locking.
Instructions are very clear, and I managed to get it open and reset the code easily.
It does come with wall fixings, which I think will add a nice layer of security if I ever decide to put this somewhere that I can attach behind it.
I took a star off this very well-constructed safe because the electronic aspect is run by 4 batteries! This is a problem just waiting to happen. The manufacturers have handled this by providing a key operated lock and 2 modern style flat keys (making the lock very much harder to pick or break). When the batteries die the panel goes dead and only the fail-safe key will get you into the safe. What I have done is leave the plastic protector off the lock and treat it as a key operated safe just like my other one. (If the manufacturer of this product expects to get any business from the hotel market it is doomed. No hotel is going to go round constantly changing batteries in small safes!)
HOWEVER – the construction is particularly good. The door is substantially stronger than that of my existing small safe – although some of the thickness is taken up by the unnecessary electronics. The safe comes with an instruction book and two masonry bolts for securing it. There are pre-drilled holes in the casing so that it can either be screwed to the floor or to a solid wall. (Do NOT put this on a party wall or stud partitioning. An intruder could get it off in moments.)
A good buy if you want a key operated safe!
This is the perfect size for my needs, big enough to secure the bits I want to keep safe yet small enough to be able to put in a secure place. I can easily open using my chosen number combination. It takes AA batteries which as readily available and has green, orange and red battery life indicators, if you don’t change batteries before they go flat you can use one of the 2 supplied keys to open. The keys are full sized and good quality. Build quality is good, the double solid locking bolts are super strong. You also get two secure wall fixings to secure to a wall if you wish. Very good price.
Solidly built. The 8.5L safe is good for temporary storage like in a hotel or rented apartment.
For more permanent and valuable storage I would recommend investing in a larger safe.
This could easily be carried away and broken into later if not secured in place.
Good if you are looking for a small safe to fit into a small space.
