I bought this 4 camera CCTV system primarily because it was cheap.
I only wanted 1 camera so that my mum could watch the fox in the garden at night..
I was expecting some cheap rubbish for this price.. But no, it’s a great bit of kit.
I have suffered a stroke and was expecting to struggle a little with the installation.. But I was pleasantly surprised. The cameras are quality and night vision is good. All the cabling is labelled and easy to install.
I can not comment on the motion detection or online portion of this system as I do not use it, But I would recommend this system to anyone looking for home CCTV
We bought this system last week and it was so simple to set up! I had some bother with the HDD I bought separately from another
Company, so I got into sansco and they guided me through the problem I sent the HDD back and I’ve got another one in the post, sansco have said “if this HDD doesn’t format with the DVR we will send you a new DVR out free of charge”. Customer service is excellent. All round good service.
This unit is set up to monitor a vacation home and is working well. The resolution is quite decent and the technical support from Sansco has been good. Overall, a satisfactory purchase.
For a slightly cheaper version of the rather expensive systems out there, we are fairly pleased with the equipment but we needed to add a hard drive to record some of the problems we were having with young vandals and break ins and add two extra cameras, so yes a good piece of kit.
I bought this cctv system coz my neighbour has land around my house and they cut trees that were around my house so it felt wide open and this camera system makes me feel safer night vision is great overall it works great and for the cost you’ll not get better motion detection works great too app works great too yeah it’s worth the cos
Picture is great. Night vision is good. Unfortunately I tried to make it record with 4 different hard drives and it couldn’t detect any of them. Amazon kindly offered a refund and the seller offered 30 for the inconvenience.
Had some problem at the beginning but the customer service is amazing, and they helped me till the end and supporting me at all time. Very nice camera system, I def recommend it.
Easy to install and superb quality
This is without question one of the cheapest CCTV systems I’ve ever seen,less than some “dummy” systems so I didn’t have high hopes .
But it has an air of quality that belies it’s cheap price , in part I imagine by the fact you have to fit your own hard drive -which is a simple process . It’s a wired system about the size of an old dvd player ,standard set up /fitting process,which for the tech savvy will be simple enough .it’s a good quality picture during the day ,with a loss of quality in the dark, But if your up wanting high quality dark recording you pay a lot more ,2 cameras is enough for me ,covers the cars on the drive,and we have a pit light which is very bright and negates the relative poor of the night vision.
I may be biased about set up as I’m tech minded but for the price it’s just brilliant.
We use Sansco system with bullet type cameras for years and never got any issue, recently extended with one more Sansco system with two cameras, all perfect as we expected and not to mention their top level customer care , you can rely them in any situation.
It is the best shopping experience we ever have.

Not easy to instal and instructions not easy to follow, installed the app on my phone but have a problem to check the app on the phone keeps saying I am not registered I have ordered an internal hard drive just hope it is easy to install
I buy it 5 months ago and I installed it in the back of my yard and in front yard of my house.
I live in an area where it’s not safe to leave a bicycle, the quality of the video in the night is pretty good, during the day the images are first class.
Now I can rest easy and not worry as much, you can even set the cameras ap to send you a alert

I needed a quick inexpensive setup that would allow me to add CCTV to a small office which had been broken into a couple of times recently. One for the front and one for the back as the entrances are narrow and no one could come in from other points.
Fitting it is relatively simple, i luckily had the ability to put up cable trunking to put the CCTV cables through however i have previously done it through roof eaves or beneath drains in order to hide them but in this case the cameras needed to be lower as you can get a better image from people up close. I then just screwed them straight onto the wall, remember you then need to go back round once setup on the app to make sure your angle is perfect, just stand in front of it and look where a normal person would and that should show you where to angle them.
The app is nice and clean, it loads much quicker with a fast connection speed but still works even on 3G, the cameras themselves are also metal encased which just gives the added feeling of it being a bit higher end.
The original item was faulty, replaced by seller very quickly with no hassle, system up , running and working well.

I am getting to know a decent amount about cctv systems after helping out numerous friends and family fit theirs, and they always choose something slightly different. This setup was ideal with the 2 cameras as it is a small bungalow that they also wanted real metal covered cameras on.
The Sansco Pro CCTV cameras come with both cameras included that are already pre-set to work with the included NVR / Recording box. It does need a hard drive, for which we went with a Seagate skyhawk which works well. The app is easy and intuitive to use, it’s called XMeye and can be downloaded from the playstore or app store.
It does have movement notifications which at first were a little sensitive so they had to be turned down in order to reduce the number of notifications from wind etc, i have these on the lowest setting and that works for me, but if you have it pointed at a generally motionless area then i’m sure a higher setting would work (be aware that rain also sets them off unless really low)
I had originally intended to set this up on a tv and change over channels for set up, however i find it much easier to use a spare tablet they had lying around and leave it plugged in so there is a permanent level of observation without having to change channels (you can watch TV and your back garden at the same time).
With night vision you can see clear enough to make out a face or a licence plate which is all we were really looking for, but in the day time it is crystal clear and can see all the way down the street at cars going back and forth.

Easy to set up. Easy to install a hard drive. Solid cameras, nice looking base unit. Cable are long enough to reach anywhere I need. A good system for the price oh and the blue light on the base unit looks cool in the dark. You get all you need in the box including a mouse so no complaints here.

They came in a lovely box and all complete screws, instruction and all instaliation.
So easy to install. You dont need to be professional. You can install at home by yourself. (there is a quick set up guide help which appears when you switch the unit on)
The images and recordings from the system are perfect. The night time view is superb, and the mobile app is simple to set up and use.
I can’t comment on the motion detection system as I haven’t got that set up.
The best cctv I have ever set up has great night vision better then my last ones that did not last 2 days its full HD and only taken me 5 mins to set up will be getting more from this company.

Great product but I returned it because it doesn’t pick up registration plates in night vision and that’s what I needed it for. Other than that I would have kept them. Easy to set up and the app works well
This is a great system for the price. I hadn’t used cctv before but it was really steaightforward to install and the dvr is very self explanatory when setting that up. It took me a day to get it done but i would think that more experienced diy’ers would have it up and working in an hour. The cameras are very good quality build and are easy to rotate and adjust to the correct angle, the picture is good quality both in the day and at night. I had to contact customer service for some technical advice and they responded straight away and were excellent. I’ll be expanding my system later in 2021 and i will be getting more of the same from sansco
This is a fairy good price for CCTV that you can view over the phone. It’s really simple but you have to buy hard drive which is mine 1TB is fine, the quality of the video is good and even the night vision. It’s a good bundle and mouse is good too
I live in an area where it’s not safe to leave a bicycle even in the backyard, my 3rd bicycle has been stolen over the last 3 months. I was researching which surveillance system to buy. I found this SANSCO 1080P Outdoor CCTV Camera System one weeks ago and ordered.
Last week it arrived, and I installed it in the backyard and in the front yard of my house. The quality of the video in the night is pretty good. I bought 1TB HDD separately, (HDD is not included in the set). First I was under impression that 1TB of space wouldn’t be enough, but then I realized that there is enough space to record about 3 weeks of video (having only 2 camcorders connected).
Now I can rest easy and not worry as much. You can even set the cameras up to send you an alert is someone comes on your property. You will no it and go to your app on phone and look at it no matter where your located.
Don’t regret to buy it, It works for me. I highly recommend this Security camera!
Very happy with this system. The hard drive which needs to be bought separately was easy to install. The cameras and system are of good quality and work well. I would recommend this system.
1) Night vision is impressive. I can’t say much more it records in the day without any issues and at night without any problems.
2) Picture quality. Hmm, so the picture quality is fantastic. I can see faces and car plates numbers without any issues, I said “hmm” because you can change the cameras to something even higher! I haven’t, and I don’t plan to the included cameras work just fine for my needs. It’s better than any watchdogs or bank CCTV pictures that’s for sure!
3) Easy to install. Heck yeh! It’s plugging in a power cord, and it’s like putting RAM into a PC, it’s like turning on the shower. You open the box and insert your Hard drive, next you add your cameras at the back, connect the free mouse and the power! The cameras all you need is a combo drill (or something with hammer mode) to make holes for the screws and DON’T FORGET TO PROTECT YOUR WIRE CONNECTORS, the wire itself is fine outdoor and indoor, but the connectors are not. There are many IP rated boxes you can get at any DIY store or even here on Amazon!
I’m not sure what more I can say, I mean it’s a CCTV system you plug it all in, and that’s it! You leave it alone, and it will work 24,7 and record 24,7 (You can change settings on the DVR to pick when to record and when not too) my one has been in my attic from day one, and I sometimes forget about it, but it’s that kind of thing you buy this system set it up and forget it… If something terrible did happen (which I hope that never happens to anyone!) you go “OMG!” I forgot we have a CCTV system installed.
The DVR auto-fixes itself if it has issues/errors if the hard drive is dying then it will beep loud and non-stop telling you to replace it asap! The DVR has no fans so no noise either!
But it’s 2020 we want more?!
This system allows you to view your cameras anyway! Using the app (IOS/Android) and on your computer, if you set that up (it’s kind of not worth it, but it’s your kit!). I enjoy watching the cats play in 1080p!
You can set up motion detection’s and if something passes that, then it also gets sent to your phone!
Ummm, I can’t think of much more to say. It’s a great kit and those what it offers, and it’s cheap. Grab it, set it up, forget about it. That’s it!
Oh, I almost forgot the support team is fantastic! I had some issues (I’m a man who doesn’t read the booklet, which I should have had) I emailed them on a Saturday knowing I won’t get anything back till Monday… Two hours later, hi am here to help have you tried this and this?…. I was shocked, I mean who works on a Saturday? Either way, they got back to me asap and fixed my issue.

Was easy to install and had enough cable for me to run the cameras where I needed too. I’ve connected it to a small screen so I can view it always. Will be very handy to keep an eye on my car at night!
bought this model for my daughter. the cameras are easy to install and just have push in connectors. you have to make sure they are on your facia coming out further from the wall as at night the light reflects off the wall and it dosnt pick up anything other than the light reflection.
Once this was done they were fine. also set up the day and night colours separately. we found on the same settings the night time wasn’t bright enough. easily done on the colour settings. As this is the non recordable box I would recomend upgrading to the recordable as its so much easier and functional. I also have the 4 camera system and although it’s more expensive the camera vision is better and you can look back and see what you recorded. I have found it hard to set up the alerts to my phone and am still working on that. if you just want a camera system to view and check on your phone it’s great.
I have no problem viewing the cameras threw my phone. its the alerts I need to figure out.
but if you have the money to get the 4 camera recordable one. go for that.
there customer service is really good. you can go on the Facebook page and message them and they can talk you threw any problems. which if your not very tec minded like me is a bonus. theres also tips from other users which I found very helpful

It came in a brown cardboard box which contains several small boxes for various items. It comes with 18 meters of wires per camera to connect them to DVR which I think is more than enough but you can also easily order more if required. Reason for me choosing a wired system in comparison of WIFI or battery operated is simple. I don’t want to keep checking batteries and instead I want something which is plugged in and I dont need to bother. Similarly I don’t want to rely on Wifi as that can create a problem. I like it old school ways which always works. The cameras are well built and made of metal which feels premium. Picture quality of both day and night is impressive. If you want to see them on phone you need to download an app which is straight forward. Taking the advise of other comment, I used this app to get perfect angle on my cameras. I connected the app and took mobile with me to see what my cameras are seeing and adjust the angles accordingly which made it super easy. It also lets you switch image quality from SD to HD and vice versa.
Fast delivery had a slight problem on my end but seller couldn’t of been more helpful 5 star for me
Quite easy to setup and install but I had a problem with one of the bracket arms that positions the camera. It was quite weak and as I tightened it something broke which ment the camera would not stay upright and it flopped facing down. I noticed that by turning the bracket upsidedown the camera is now locked into a forward facing position which is ok for what I needed so decided to no change it. This only happen to one camera the other had no problems.
Installation was fairly painless even though this was my first time installing a cctv system. The included set up card was self explanatory.
A couple of things to note before you install:
For the dvr capability you will need to add a hard drive. (I used one from an old sky box).
An old-ish monitor is required with a vga port for monitoring functions. (You can see I installed mine in the loft with a wall mounted screen).
And for drilling through the walls I used a 20mm diameter bit. This was about right as the hole size is needed to allow the video connectors to pass through.
Video quality is as good as I have seen on modern cctv systems. Bare in mind it is an analogue feed so don’t expect iPhone quality video.
Had some issues with network set up but the email support answered within an hour. That was super impressive actually!
Another thing that was cool was having a little mouse included for help using the menus and setting up.
It’s a relatively inexpensive way to have a networked system and a great system for that cost.
If you are happy with a little setting up then go for it. It’s a 5 star system.

ordered my sansco cctv system got it a few days later colour camera/bw night vison very good picture in colour and night vison one of the cameras was fuzzy in night vison but got in touch with sansco and they sent me a replacement camera and works ok know very happy with cctv system for the price ordered a hard drive and put that in so i could record so me and my wife can watch two badgers and a fox and squirrels in our garde
Like the cameras and the functionality of them, however I don’t think the apps working 100%, turned on all alarm settings and enabled push notifications but get nothing at all..?
We wanted an inexpensive but reasonable quality system, this wasn’t disappointing, dead easy to set up, good helpline that helped promptly with a few questions we had about advanced settings. The QR code set up is excellent unlike our old system.
Just a quick addition: the quality of the images is great, I’ve added a screen shot from my phone, app is easy to use, Very happy with it!
So after a couple of months of use I’m adding an update with a bit more detail, we are still happy and using the system:
The install was easy with the QR and also the quick start guide, it’s great to get thr ap app straight away, becuase it can then help with the positioning of the camera when your doing the install.
Only 2 sockets are needed for the entire system, one for the DVR and 1 for the cameras this made it easy for our setup and house configuration, as the wires provided are long per camera. We prefer for them to be wired as that way always has power and we have no worries about recharging or changing the battery, we just feel this is more secure and no risk of missing anything.
The cameras themselves feel sturdy and are a metal feel, and are weathering well.
The recording on the app can be set to save for just motion detection or constant, we find motion detection is best.
But if I wanted constant it’s easy to get a hard drive with space to plug in.
For viewing we tend to use the app on mobile and have it for motion detection alerts, but this system was purchased as there is the ability to buy a TV/PC monitor and plug into system for constant surveillance, HDMI should connect ok.
The mention detection alerts and recording works well, and we have used the settings to ensure no false alerts from neighbouring trees.
The equipment works well. It is easy to install. The mobile app works with the minimum of fuss. But I never actually put it into use. Why? If I lived in an area of burglary every night that would be a different matter. But I don’t. So if I installed it, the police would be at my door wanting the footage on the rare occasion anything happened. And the rest of the time my neighbours would feel offended I did not trust them or I was spying on them.
So yes, great technology but probably more than most of us need. And who else can see your home somewhere else on the net?
Brought this for a friend. They are very pleased with the product. It is very easy to set up and install (even screws etc are included.) great value for money with that added piece of mind for security for front door or garage.
The box in which the system arrives is made up of several boxes that fit perfectly together which improves the chances of the equipment being safe in transit. After unpacking, I used the quick-start guide and had pictures on my TV screen in no time at all.
I decided to purchase wired cameras, as opposed to wireless / Wi-Fi cameras, as we already have so many wireless devices in a household of five people, so I did not want to further add to the burden. I also wanted to ensure that the cameras were always powered (so I never have to change batteries in the cameras) and also that they are definitely sending pictures to the DVR via its wired connection rather than via Wi-Fi. I did not want picture drop-out at the DVR either due to lack of power or flaky Wi-Fi at the furthermost reaches of the house. The system comes with plenty of wire to connect the cameras to the DVR (18 metres per camera), but you can easily order more wire (complete with connectors) should your distances be further than that.
You only need two power sockets for this two-camera CCTV system. You need one power socket for the DVR, and another for the cameras. The cameras are powered by a single four-in-one power adaptor, so if you expand the system to four cameras (this DVR has four channels which it uses for recording but only two cameras are supplied), then you will not actually need an extra plug socket. Two power sockets are all you need for up to a four camera set-up.
The cameras are made of metal so they have a real premium feel to them — none of the more flimsy plastic versions that are also available. I was very impressed with the picture quality by day, but also by night. See the attached photos.
It was easy to download the relevant app for my mobile device, and as I had already connected my DVR to the internet, it was great to see what my cameras were seeing from my phone. It was also very helpful when installing the cameras to ensure that I had the correct angles in view — just take your phone up the ladder with you and you can see what the camera sees when making camera adjustments. Using the app, you can quickly see all the cameras on your system, and even have the option to flip between SD and HD modes for better image quality.
This particular system does not come with a hard drive, but you can record locally on your mobile device using the mobile app. This is good for recording snippets, but not ideal for long term recording so I would strongly advise plugging in a SATA Hard Drive (not supplied). They are fairly cheap these days and it gives you the comfort that (depending on how you configure the “Record” part of the system) the cameras are always recording, or ready to record if movement is detected (also dependent on user configuration). Even without a hard drive installed, as long as you connect the DVR to your internet connection (a RJ45 cable was supplied for this), then you are able to see whatever your cameras see from wherever you are as long as you have an internet connection. You can even look at playback based on alerts that you see on the recording timeline.
In terms of movement alerts, I configured my cameras via a decent feature that allows you to mask out specific areas in which you are not interested in movement — mostly trees blowing in the wind. So then alerts are only recorded if there is real movement…although birds do trigger them also. But alerts do not disturb you unless you configure the system to notify you if there is an alert. You may want to set this mode if you are on holiday and perhaps want to know who approaches your front door. But for normal use when I am at home, I just use the alerts on recorded day’s timeline if I want to look back for whatever reason.
Regarding information and help, the system only came with the quick set-up guide, but there is a link to a full manual online. There are so many features in the system, and I have certainly found the manual useful on a couple of occasions when I was fine-tuning my system or just looking around its features. I also talked to vendor support on a couple of occasions and I was impressed with their speed of response and resolution effectiveness.
In summary, I am very happy with the CCTV system from operational, quality, support, and value-for-money perspectives. I would recommend this system to my friends and family. It really gives me peace-of-mind when I am away from my home that there are cameras watching and recording anything that occurs.
I needed a small inexpensive cctv set up for my shed, this unit fitted the bill, it’s very easy to set up, plug, play, QR code job done, the cables are good quality and all marked up, the picture quality is great. I’ll need another camera and probably a hard drive but for a quick set up security camera this cannot be faulted.
The value of this item can’t be matched the quality is outstanding. I love that I can monitor my property anywhere in the world that I am. Even better is the customer service, nothing is too much trouble for them and they always reply my questions within 24 hours. Picture quality is brilliant both for daytime colour and for night time Black and White. The system is continuous streaming and everything can be recorded. This system is the best of it’s kind that I have seen. It is very easy to set up. I had a spare HDD, but they are quite inexpensive nowadays and very simple to fit – a few screws and plug in the leads – 15 minutes max.

I purchased this setup as I needed a simple cctv system to just setup an leave running as more of a deterant but be there should the situation arise. Just note one thing though you will need to purchase a hard drive separately as there isn’t one in this. The cameras are 2MP so they aren’t the best but I can identify someone, and/or a car, at about 80 yards away. You can click and drag on the video to zoom in to that point but at the 80 yard distance mentioned before you stand no chance reading a number plate. Bizarrely when you look at the screen with both cameras running they appear to be different quality images. Anyway I’m happy with system and will be adding and updating more cameras at a later date.
Although I would like sharper images, this device works well. Easy set up. No expert needed to get it up and running

I went for the option without the HDD as I had a spare one. Installing it was easy and it saved me 50 Setup is easy. Installation is easy. Initially everything looked good. Then a one of the cameras was playing up in infrared mode. Contacted support and they sent me a replacement. This also has issues so they sent me another. I subsequently added an another 2 camera’s and It’s been a few weeks now and everything is working fine. Apart from the setup which I’ve already mentioned, some points to note are as follows: The XMEye app works flawlessly on my iPhone. I can view my house live from anywhere and can playback recordings too. The interface on the TV seems fine. A 1TB drive with 4 cameras gives me 2 weeks of recording time. Finally I have to say their support setup is excellent. They responded to each email within 24 hours and more often than not within the hour. If all continues to work I’ll be very happy. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of the camera issues at the start.
Bought my Kare video recorder and delighted to say I’m very happy with the unit and if you are unsure about anything a quick email the service you get from the the after service team second to none.
