So ging es Mitte Januar 2023 erstmalig los. Vollkommen problemlos und fr jeden leicht zu verstehen.
Das Gert besitzt eine Einschub-Halterung im Lieferumfang, dennoch habe ich die Magnetfuhalterung fr die Lftungsdse bevorzugt und mit bestellt.
Vor Verkehrswarnungen und Blitzern (sofern bekannt) wird zuverlssig gewarnt. Bisher bin ich noch keinem Blitzer begegnet welcher nicht bereits bekannt gewesen ist. Einfach Daumen hoch, gut gelungen.
Was mich mehr strt ist die Aussage:
“Der eingebaute Akku hlt ca. 2-3 Monate (abhngig von Gebrauch und Temperatur), bevor er das erste Mal min. 8 Stunden wiederaufgeladen werden muss. ”
Der Akku wurde seit Mitte Januar 2023 bis 02.Mrz 2023 bereits das dritte mal geladen. Natrlich auf 100% ber Nacht und natrlich auch die empfohlene 8h Ladung. Dennoch kann ich die Aussage von 2-3 Monaten nicht besttigen. An der Nutzung kann es nicht liegen. Das Gert wird tglich 15km und 30 Minuten gekoppelt genutzt. Entweder ist der Fehler durch die Firmware/Software noch nicht behoben oder es ist nicht alles Gold was glnzt.
Im Groen und Ganzen bin ich aber mit der Leistung mehr als zufrieden.
Der Vorteil gegenber der App ist, dass mit den beiden Tasten Gefahrenstellen auch einfach und schnell gemeldet werden knnen. Man sollte das Gert also so anbringen, dass man es nicht nur sehen kann, sondern such gut dran kommt. Wenn alle nur Warnmeldungen haben wollen und keine melden, wre das Warnsystem mit leerer Datenbank nutzlos.
Einen Stern Abzug gibt es, weil auch sehr hufig Fehlmeldungen ausgegeben werden. Wenn man z.B. auf der Autobahn fhrt und andauernd eine 30 Warnmeldung ausgegeben wird, weil irgendwo in der Nhe der Autobahn eine Strae mit 30 ist.
Oder man wird im Stau stehend 200m lang auf ein Stauende hingewiesen, weil sich der Stau immer weiter nach hinten verschiebt und immer wieder neue Leute ein Stauende gemeldet haben, aber die ersten Meldungen nicht aus der Datenbank ausgetragen werden.
Aus der Bewertung habe ich ausgenommen, dass ca. 2 Monate lang das Gert nicht funktionierte, weil irgendwelche kapitalen Softwarefehler vorhanden waren. Und immer wenn es eine Software gab, die das Problem behoben hat, wurde dadurch ein ganz anderes Problem eingesetzt. Das fhrt auch zu den vielen schlechten Bewertungen im App-Store. Ich werte es hier aber nicht, weil ich andere Besitzer kenne, die seit Jahren kein Problem hatten und auch jetzt waren nicht alle Gertetypen betroffen. Auerdem hat der Hersteller immer sehr schnell reagiert, sowohl mit neuer Software als auch auf Supportanfragen. Jetzt, da der Mist vorbei ist, geht auch wieder alles.
Ich war mit dem ersten Gert sehr unzufrieden. Hauptgrund fr meine bisherige 1* Bewertung war der Akku, der nach 5 Monaten und trotz aller Updates nach dem Aufladen noch 5 Tage durchhielt, bis er jh und ohne Mucks am Ende war. Ich habe das Angebot von Saphe gerne angenommen, mir anstandslos das Gertes zu tauschen. Der Kontakt zum Service war professionell, sehr freundlich und einwandfrei.
Das neue Gert hab’ ich jetzt nach dem ersten Aufladen seit zwei Wochen im Auto und die Batterieanzeige zeigt trotz zwischenzeitigem Wintereinbruch unverndert alle Batteriebalken an. Ich hoffe, dass der neue Saphe jetzt lnger durchhlt.
Zuverlssig springt das Gert an und findet nach einmaligem Aktivieren des iPhones sofort eine Verbindung – das war mit dem alten Gert auch anders.
Den * Abzug gibt hierfr:
Ca. 50% der Warnmeldungen sind false positives, d.h. der Saphe warnt vor nicht vorhandenen Gefahrenstellen. Das liegt erstmal an der Datenbasis, aufgrund derer der Saphe warnt. Gefahrenstellen werden von anderen Usern gemeldet, wenn eine Warnung angezeigt wird, kann die Anwenderin die Gefahrenstelle als noch vorhanden besttigen. Vor Baustellen wird hingegen gar nicht gewarnt.
Ob man lieber eine App verwendet oder den Saphe bleibt dem Anwender berlassen – ich freue mich jetzt wieder, den Saphe dabei zu haben. Gerade auf kurzen oder mittleren Strecken mag ich das kleine unscheinbare Gert lieber, als noch extra eine App zu aktivieren.
Gert ist sonst sehr gut, leider gibt es oft Updates die nicht genug ausgereift oder getestet worden sind, letztlich gab es ein Update und darauf hin war der Akku binnen weniger Stunden immer leer, dachte das Gert ist hinber, aber leider war das wieder mal ein fehlerhaftes Update, ich habe das Gert getauscht bzw. das alte entsorgt, ein Kollege von mir hat mir dann mitgeteilt dass bei ihm das gleiche war, und es mit einem weiteren Update behoben wurde.
Genauso ist er auch mit dem Support unzufrieden, Auskunft gibt es nur sprlich und unzureichend, schade ,ansonsten wre das Produkt sehr gut.
WORKS WELL, PICKS UP MOST CAMERAS, HANDY BIT OF KIT TO HAVE IN CAR, GOOD VALUE.
Easy to set up and does what it says on the tin, recent problem with connection has been addressed by Saphe and happy that I am protected once more. Really don’t want any more points on my license.

Nach der letzten Aktualisierung der Saphe Link App auf Version 3.4.1 (Firmware 1.3.18) hat sich die Akku-Laufzeit mglichweise wesentlich verschlechtert (1-2 Tage).
Diese rasante Entleerung der Batterie rhrt daher, dass der Bewegungssensor zu sensitiv geworden ist, und Saphe Drive Mini sich nun auch im Schlummermodus aktiviert und deshalb versucht Verbindung aufzunehmen, was den Akku entleert.
Die Lsung haben unsere Entwickler zum Glck bereits ausgearbeitet und sie wurde gleich an sowohl Apple wie Google zur Freigabe zugestellt.
Deshalb ein Auge auf das Update im Apple App Store und Google Play Store haben, und Saphe Drive Mini in der Zwischenzeit aufladen, wenn das Batterie-Symbol rot aufblinkt.
TIPP! Sobald das neue Update der Saphe Link App auf dem Smartphone installiert worden ist, wird das Gert selber automatisch beim nchsten Verbindungsversuch eine Gerte-Aktualisierung vornehmen, und hier empfiehlt es sich Saphe Drive Mini neu zu starten mittels ca. 12 Sekunden Dauerdruck auf die rote Taste.
Die Installation war sehr einfach, liegt bei mir im Handschuhfach. Dadurch zwar kein Blickkontakt, diesen bentige ich persnlich nicht ,da mir die Akustik ausreicht.Bisher absolut zuverlssig, ich kann ihn nur empfehlen.
Findet in den letzten paar Monaten des Gebrauchs alle feste und mobile Blitzer. Nur hatte ich vor kurzem, aus unerklrlichen Grnden, einen Aussetzer, wo das Anzeigegert ein paar Stunden streikte. Vielleicht muss man ab und zu die App auf dem Handy wieder einschalten und “auffrischen”. Bin aber so weit von meinem Gert berzeugt, dass ich meiner Freundin eins zu Weihnachten gekauft habe.
Ich habe in der Vergangenheit die Blitzer.de-App genutzt, aber stndig vergessen sie zu aktivieren. Seit ich den Saphe Drive Mini nutze gehrt dies der Vergangenheit an. Installation ist super einfach, das Gert funktioniert tadellos, lediglich das iPhone verbraucht mehr Akku. Aber damit kann ich leben. Direkt ein zweites zu Weihnachten verschenkt.
Verbesserungsvorschlag wre lediglich eine lautere Benachrichtigung. Aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau.
Das bekannte Display des Warners den man in Deutschland ja nicht verwenden darf, kennt mittlerweile fast jeder und besonders Verkehrsstreifen. Daher dachte ich das es nicht falsch ist ein kleines Gert zu haben das mir extern sagen kann was der Radarwarner mir eigentlich mitteilen mchte.
Manche Bewertung haben mich zwar ein wenig ans berlegen gebracht, aber hab es dann dennoch gekauft. Denn rechnerisch macht es sich bezahlt wenn man nur einmal dadurch nicht geblitzt wurde.
Was mir vorher nicht bekannt war – man muss nicht nur die Blitzer.de Software sondern auch eine eigene Saphe Software installieren und sie mssen auch beide laufen. Erst mit dem starten dieser Saphe Software funktioniert die Verbindung mit Warnmelder.
Das Problem geht aber schon vorher los. Leider ist die Anleitung sehr sprlich. Ich weiss nicht kommt die Meldung nun ber Blitzer.de oder ber Saphe. Bei manchen Meldungen konnte ich nur Saphe als Melder herauslesen. Denn es wurden eine Menge Meldungen gebracht das es einen Unfall oder eine Gefahrenstelle gibt, man jedoch doch wieder aufs Handy schauen musste um herauszufinden das es auf einer ganz anderen Strae aber im Warnradius war. Da haben mich manche ein wenig schrg angesehen habe, weil eine Hindernis auf der Strae gemeldet wurde und ich natrlich meine Geschwindigkeit reduzierte.
Eine 1 gebe ich fr die Lautstrke des Gertes. Wer das nicht hrt sollte mal zum HNO Arzt gehen. Ich hoffe nur das es nicht versehentlich mal losgeht wenn man in eine Verkehrskontrolle kommt.
Fr ein so kleines Gert ist der Preis aber recht happig und das nur weil man die Saphe App mit dazu nehmen muss – schlecht gelst.
Was leider nicht funktioniert – wenn ich den Mini Warner einschalte, verbindet er sich jedoch nicht mit den Apps automatisch und startet sie auf dem Hand. Weder ein Xiaomi A3 noch ein Samsung A53.
Wenn man sich aber auf die Fahrt ein wenig vorbereitet und alles vor Fahrtantritt startet gibts auch kein Problem weil man das Handy whrend der Fahrt bedient ..
Leider funktioniert der Saphe Drive Mini nicht mit meinem Pixel 6 pro und Android Auto in meinem Ford Focus MK4. Laut FAQ von Saphe gibt es hierzu auch keine Lsung. Das Problem sind die GPS Infos vom Smartphone, welche bentigt wird. Schade, dass daran nicht gearbeitet wird, da es andere funktionierende Lsungen gibt.
Nutzt man kein Android Auto, ist der Drive Mini aber eine super Lsung. Er warnt mit einstellbarer Vorlaufzeit, man sieht die Infos und kann Hindernisse melden. Akku scheint auch lange zu halten.
Nachtrag: Der Support von Saphe hat mich auf meine ursprngliche Rezession kontaktiert. Dieser ist sehr hilfsbereit und antwortet schnell. Fr Probleme durch Ford kann Saphe am Ende nichts, fr mich dennoch rgerlich.

Great unit once you get used to how it works and connects, instruction manual is not comprehensive enough
Very pleased with the product and very good quality. I purchased another for my daughter’s car. Would highly reccomend.
My only suggestion would be to be able to mount the unit upside down. I have done this but the display is upside down. If the unit was able to slide onto the bracket both ways this would solve this problem. But still an excellent purchase.
Works so well, you don’t have to turn it off, just get out your car and it knows, and saves the battery, which has hardly depleted after 4 months, spots every camera every time, i can’t see how it could be any better, I love mine.
I like using Waze, but one thing that bothers me is the way it doesn’t warn you about speed cameras unless you’re already over the speed limit. I’d rather be warned anyway so that I can make sure I don’t accidentally drift over the speed limit by the time I go through it. To be honest that’s never actually happened to me, but I’d still like to be warned so I can make sure.
This thing fills that gap nicely since you can set it to warn about fixed cameras whether you’re speeding or not. It works really well for that and it’s now a permanent fixture in my car. I ended up not using the supplied mount and just used Blu Tack to stick it to the dash, which so far is working perfectly. It connects to my phone every time and works well almost all of the time (see caveat below).
What it can’t do well at all however, as least in the UK, is mobile speed traps. It relies on other users pressing a button to record the location of a speed trap in much the same way that Waze relies on other Waze users to report them. The difference is that Waze has absolutely loads of users and Saphe seemingly has very few. So in reality Waze almost always knows about a mobile speed trap and Saphe almost never does. If only Saphe could tap in to Waze’s data.
The one bug I’ve seen with it is that on a stretch of road I frequently drive along with a 60mph limit there’s an almost parallel road with a 30mph limit and a speed camera on it. The Saphe doesn’t know which road you’re on so it detects the 30mph camera and then sometimes (about half of the time) it crashes, showing two overlapping speed camera icons on the screen, after which it won’t do anything until I forcibly disconnect and reconnect it by turning my phone’s Bluetooth off and back on. Hardly ideal. When I get a chance I’ll report it to the manufacturer in the hope they can fix it. Other than that it’s been reliable and I like it.

I have thoroughly tested this device in the UK and on two European road trips.
I drive with a car club, and we use Google mapping with waypoints to get us where we need to be. This makes it rather cumbersome to try and run Waze at the same time for speed cameras. What this box does is more or less the same as Waze, but allows me to continue using/viewing Google maps.
In action it spots just about everything fixed. On the odd occasion, it gets the average speed camera zones slightly off, but it’s rare and you know when it’s doing it. If you are not speeding, it’s pretty unobtrusive, but if it thinks you are and in danger, then it will alert you loudly and flash.
For what it costs, this device might just save your licence. In Europe, it alerted us to at least 50% more cameras than we actually saw, including a covert mobile set up in a German lay-by.
It does like you to leave your phone location on all the time which is a bit of a draw-back but not a deal breaker. It also lasts weeks on a single charge.
Summing up, if you do a lot of driving, and use mapping other than Waze, this is brilliant for what it costs. The more people in the UK that get one, the better the coverage will be, and for Europe, where we are perhaps not as good at spotting them, it’s worth every penny.

Well made product, simple to operate once you understand the basics from a limited manual. Time will tell how accurate the database is, so far so good. Acid test will be frequency of adding new camera sites. If lives up to expectations a worthwhile investment.
The Saphe database that the phone app relies on is not 100% perfect. But neither is Waze, and that is considered by many as the ultimate satnav tool. As for the Saphe Drive Mini, it is! what I would consider the perfect accessory. It is small, compact, requires no cables draped across the car, sleeps when the car is not moving, wakes when you start moving, and the alerts are clear and bright. But what I like most about the app/Drive Mini combo, is the ability to set both notification alerts and warning alarms. If you are somewhere like London, where the city is littered with money makers….excuse me, ‘safety cameras’, then the Drive mini can be set up to just chirp, if you are approaching on or below the speed limit. But if you are slightly over the posted limit, then you can set up the Mini and/or the app, to give out a more urgent alarm sound. It’s about as perfect a system as you could wish for. Like Waze, the Saphe system takes inputs from drivers, to help alert for all kinds of categories, such as broken down vehicles and mobile camera vans. You can upload your sightings via the two buttons on the Drive Mini. The type of incident or alert depends on how many times you click the buttons. The instructions are not terrible. But to save people time, here are a couple of features that I could not find in the instructions. Firstly, in order to make the app/Drive Mini as automatic as possible, (on an iPhone) you need to make sure that you give the app permanent location services permission and turn on the ‘use precise location’ feature on the phone. That way, if you leave the Drive Mini in the car, as you sit down in the car, the phone and the Drive Mini will connect without you having to open the Saphe app. You will know when the two are communicating, as the Drive Mini will chirp and illuminate three green icons for battery level, gps and signal strength. I prefer to remove my unit from the dash between drives. To turn off the Drive Mini, you press and hold the left button for 6 seconds, the Mini will display a yes/no confirmation and you press the right button to confirm and turn the Mini off. To turn back on, it’s left button for 3 seconds. There are two mounts in the box, one for the dash and a mirror image one for the windscreen. Although there are no release tabs to press, the Mini does fit snugly onto the mounts with a slight click. The alerts cover all the camera types, including those sneaky red light/speed models. The Mini comes out the box displaying in Km, but you can select mph in the settings. You can also select how early you want the alerts to trigger. Mine is set to illuminate a silent warning further back, then give a second visual/audio alert/alarm closer to the camera. One of the best features on the Drive Mini is the average speed camera alert. You get the initial pre-camera warning, but whilst inside the average speed zone, the Mini will calculate and display your average speed as you go, turning the number from green to red if you are driving through too quickly. It takes all the guesswork and stress away. There already seem to be thousands of Saphe users, as my device alerts for roadworks, vehicles on the hard shoulder etc, just like Waze does. So hopefully the user base will keep expanding, because the Saphe app and Drive Mini combo are almost perfect.
Very small and discrete, paired it to my phone and it picked up the local railway crossing camera as soon as I turned the corner. As far as I am aware, it hasn’t missed a camera yet.
This product is value for money. Easy to use and gives you warnings of upcoming cameras and congestion. The app works seamlessly with this product.

The only issue is the request to have the app on in the background all the time. Have changed this now so only on when using (to save the battery life of my iPhone)
I wanted something easy to install but didn’t want to have to permanently wire something in. This little gadget works so well and is accurate with all the camera locations, I particularly like that when you are in a average speed zone it shows you what your average speed between cameras are. If this little device just stops you once from a speeding fine and red light camera then it’s already paid for itself. It’s small discreet transferable and automatically turns on and connects to your phone. Easily one of my favourite gadgets and would highly recommend.

I should have bought this last time I looked.Got snapped in a 40 zone.Then i bought the device and it spotted it.If i had bought it first time it would have saved me 3 points and a 100 fine.
Bought this to replace a similar device that costs FIVE TIMES as much, so I wasn’t expecting much, I was pleasantly surprised ! Arrived the next day, part charged so it worked straight out of the box. Very small and no wires so really easy to place in the car and bluetooth to my phone once the app was downloaded, worked first time. Then the real test, out on the road, fixed camera’s, average and mobile sites, all detected and non missed that I am aware of. Highly recommended

I found the ideal mounting place away from prying eyes looking into the car which was ok until I had to take it off the mount for it’s first recharge which is when I found out the pad used to stick it to the dash is not very sticky at all so I decided to pay extra for the air vent mount. I suppose the original mount could be improved by using velcro which I will probably try in future but it would have been good if Saphe could have used this method and then this would have been a 5 star review.
Very easy to install. Although I also bought the vent mount with mine. Although you have two seperate mounts to attach to windscreen etc.
So far very accurate. Only slight annoying thing it keeps beeping at you until you connect.
Does exactly what’s it says in the tin…superb, simple and great piece of kit. Highly recommend.
