Fantastic connection and performance. I use it on two Mac’s and I can switch over. You can run upto 4 devices using this one keyboard. It also has a long battery life. Been using it for about 6 weeks and still no need to charge it.
It is much smaller and more compact than I thought but it is for its advantages. It’s very easy and smooth to work with, I would not swop it for any other brand. Setting up was a slight nightmare but once you Google it, the setting up will be quite easy.
It is an excellent wireless keyboard!
The first thing I noticed when I took out this keyboard was the build quality; it definitely has the wow factor. The body is a beautiful space grey aluminium with no sharp corners. The plastic keys feel like they are made from high-quality plastic—pretty much just like a Mac keyboard. The characters on each key are clear and easy to read, and although I haven’t used this for long, I expect that they won’t wear off, which is an issue I have experienced with cheaper keyboards.
Making the keyboard work with my MacBook Pro 2019 via Bluetooth was super easy, but I opted to use it in wired mode so that I don’t have to worry about charging it.
Typing on this keyboard is very pleasant – the keys feel luxurious with a nice level of travel and responsiveness.
If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to a Mac magic keyboard, I would highly recommend this.
I’ve tried a few (including Apple) and this is the best so far. Excellent build quality, excellent functionality, and does what it’s supposed to well. You won’t be disappointed with this one.
The keyboard is a multitasker’s dream, lets me switch seamlessly between two-three devices and premium feel at half the price of Apple’s magic keyboard, and relish in its backlit keys and satisfying typing experience.
This is a great little keyboard for commuting and traveling with. It connects well to 3 devices and easily switches between the three. The keys are responsive and springy. The backlight is bright and visible in lowlight areas. It is really light but doesnt feel cheap or flimsy. I have several Logitech keyboards and this one so far is just as good as they are but at a much better price point. I recommended this to several coworkers and friends and I know a few of them have picked this up as well. I have been using it for my Macbook Pro M1, Ipad Pro 12.9, and Lenovo Win PC and it has moved between all them smoothly and havent had any issues with maintaining the connection or connecting them in the first place.
Needing a spare keyboard that I could use wired or wirelessly, I took a punt on the X1 at a Black Friday deal price. And I’m delighted. It’s beautifully made, feels really solid, and (to me) is every bit as pleasant to type on as my wireless Apple keyboard. Very well worth the money, even at a non-Black-Friday price.
What an amazing keyboard. Returned my new mac studio magic keyboard for this and dont regret it one bit. Even if apple did this in the same colorway I would still purchase the satechi x1
The keyboard is small but robust. I chose this over the Apple one as I needed to connect it to two macs and an ipad and this one does the job great.
About the keys, they have an action similar to the first magic keyboard, which I used for many years and I like, so basically it is a bit higher than the new Apple keyboards.
The backlit is well done and uniform enough, the only feature I would add is a long press for the luminance, in order to switch it off quickly, as it is now the buttons need to be pressed repeatedly to achieve the desired level.
Overall I think this is a great product.
identical to the apple keyboard, but has backlit and up to 3 conneections you can switch with just fn+1/2/3.
not to mention the price is half even the extra functionality.
