This Joycruise Scooter is a nice scooter. It is sturdy, we just need to tighten up the bolts when we received it. It is a larger sized scooter, my 11 year old son and ride it fine and so can I. It is rated up to 220 pounds and feels sturdy enough to be able to support it. The handlebars are adjustable – to 3 different levels. This is great for being able to either grow with it or to switch between kids, teens, or even adults riding it. The base is sturdy and the wheels are smooth and ride well too. Overall a great scooter at the price point.

I ordered this scooter for myself to use, and my 9-year-old daughter. My children have several scooters, but my 9-year-old is getting a bit big for them. I also decided that it would be nice for me to have a scooter, to ride along with them.

From the picture on the sales page, It appeared that this would be a good fit for any adult. The description on Amazon says that it can hold up to 220 lbs, which worked just fine for me. Strangely enough, on page one of the user manual, it says the weight should not exceed 110 lbs…. Though the outside of the user manual does say maximum weight 100 kg. I’m guessing that the safety warnings were recycled from a smaller scooter, and this is a typo with the manufacturer on page one.

This scooter is certainly large enough, and sturdy enough, to hold a 220 lb person. I am roughly 130 lbs, and 5’4″, and this scooter works perfectly for me. I did not even have to extend the handlebars all the way. My husband also fits just fine on this scooter, and he is 5’11.
As for how this scooter operates. It has nice large wheels, so it has no problem smoothly running over the concrete, even when little rocks and divots are present. It also has very smooth steering. I would say that it performs just as expected.
The scooter also folds up for compact storage. It has a hook that you pull up near the pivot point closest to the front tire. It does take a little bit of our muscle to pull the hook up to release the lever, but nothing that most adults couldn’t handle.
The scooter also came with a nylon carrying strap, but I honestly did not even install that. The scooter is big enough, and just heavy enough, that I didn’t see myself carrying it around over my shoulder.
Overall, This is a great scooter for an adult that is under 220 lb. It is plenty large enough for the average size adult, operates perfectly, and folds up for compact storage. I would definitely recommend it, If you’re looking for a scooter that is on the larger side.

I got this kick scooter for my younger daughter since her old scooter seems to get smaller every day. When it came in, it took only a few minutes before I was on it zooming around the block. I got the handle height set to maximum, which seems perfect for me. My daughter feels very comfortable on the lowest height. It is pretty cool that the height can accommodate both of us with ease. Anyway, the scooter looks very nice, and the ride is very smoothing. I guess the shock helps. It is very light, but feels very sturdy. There was no sign of stress with my 160lb body weight. I don’t doubt this scooter can carry 220lbs. Yet, it is light enough for a 60lb girl to carry it easily. Both of us had put quite a few miles on this scooter, and it has been left out in the front porch getting rained on a few times. It still rides like new, minus the scratches we put on it. Another feather I really like is the foldable handle, which makes it surprisingly easy to store while not in use. I have to say, this is a very nice scooter that earned five stars from me and my daughter.

Generally speaking, has good wheels, good handlebars, and is a nice, smooth ride. The roll is smooth and nice. The folding aspect doesn’t always work well, and can both stick and get loosened unexpectedly. This suggests to me that I am probably just using the catch wrongly. The other thing that doesn’t really work well is the kick stand. When I put it down, it is too high, and it tips the scooter the other way. As is, this makes it almost useless.

The scooter holds a good amount of weight, and is easy to ride and steer. Moves well. Generally pretty good.

Nice full sized scooter, better then what you can get at most stores in regular outdoor section, got these for my kids which are 7 and 6, they are just tall enough to see over the bars when it’s in the lowest setting. So it will last them a while.

    Pros:
-nice tall and wide full-size scooter, adults can ride it.
    – shocks are really good
-kick stand is nice and simple, holds well.

    Cons:
-the wheels seem like they would give out before anything, they are nice and big but seem like to me they might get wear quickly kids have used a few times and no signs of visible wear, this is just my concern.
-Arrived with some scuffing on the back wheel brake.

Overall this is a nice scooter at a decent price point for the size looks nice and sleep I would suggest this to other people looking for nice quality budget scooters.
    Hope this review helped.

This is a comfortable and well-made scooter. It comes in attractive retail packaging, that’s quite presentable. This will be a great scooter for any kid 8 years and up. It’s made from an aluminum frame that is light but feels sturdy. It’s got a very generous weight tolerance at 220 pounds. I’ve tried riding it, and the frame accommodated my 190 lbs of weight with no issue.

But this one was mainly used by my 10-year-old nephew. He really liked it mainly because it’s easy to ride and fast. The wheels roll on the pavement with no resistance. This gives kids a satisfying, fast ride. Due to the wider deck, it’s good to stand on for longer rides. The dual suspension provides great shock absorption from the street. Overall, this is a great all-around type scooter at a good price Full marks from me!

My Nephew loves this Scooter for going from class to class across campus. He is 200 lbs and this works great for him using the suspension system to smooth out rough roads and walkways. He also like the camouflage color and that it folds down nice and easy. The carry strap helps out too.

All in all this is a very well built scooter that has larger wheels and smooth ride. Well worth a full five stars!

Ordered this for my grand daughter. She loves to ride her bike, so this will be another thing she will get plenty of use from. I also like how girly it looks, she is all girl. It is quite heavy duty for a scooter, very sturdy. Of course it’s very convenient that it folds up, so much easier to store it. Carrying strap is a nice tough as well. Non-skid deck is another nice feature and appreciated. Brake works pretty good. Nice big wheels.

Nothing but good to say so far, price is not bad for a quality scooter, would gladly recommend.

My children have outgrown their small kiddie scooters in height so that it hurts their backs to hunch over to the handle bars, as well as in shoe size and not being able to put their foot flat on the floor of the scooter. The thing is, though, they still want to play with scooters, so an upgrade is necessary.

There are a few things about this scooter that I really like. First, I like how the wheels are big and sturdy. They’re not going to chip or crack like a little scooter’s wheels can often do. Second, I like how long the floor is. It fits a huge foot easily with room to ‘rest’ the other foot. Third and finally, I like how tall the adjustable handle bars can reach for tall riders. The fact that this unit also collapses for easy toting, too!

Overall, this scooter is excellent for big kids, teens, and even adults in size and sturdiness.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersMy son has special needs that have made riding a bike difficult for him. He can ride, but it doesn’t come naturally, and so he rides slowly and with much effort.

He loved his scooter. He could ride that like any other kid. When he rode, nobody had any hint of his differences.

He is now nineteen, and has long since outgrown his scooter. I looked around for a while, but didn’t find anything that was big enough for an adult sized young man to ride without looking silly.

I had long since given up looking when I came across this. It’s perfect! It’s size for an adult, but is adjustable as well. It rides very smoothly and nicely. It looks good, although my son would have preferred an ‘inconspicuous’ solid black. The wheels are a nice rubbery material. Everything about it feels sturdy and well built, while still having a sleek and slim appearance.

My son is riding again, and he looks perfectly natural and appropriate doing so.

I hope you have found my review to be helpful!

The various adjustments for size and height are well placed and simple to adjust.
I’m right at the maximum weight, so I decided not to test it out myself, but my granddaughter loves this scooter.
The folding up feature is nice for transporting and the extra large tires are nice for gliding over bumps in the sidewalk.
My granddaughter is 7 years old, and I can see this scooter lasting through her child years.

This is a review of the Scooter for Kids Ages 6-12 Years, Folding Kick Scooter for Adults, Teens and Kids 8 Years and Up – Dual Suspension – 3 Adjustable Levels

There are many positive things to say about this scooter and we are glad we got it.

The scooter itself is very sturdy and it has dual suspension which really helps make the ride smoother, even over bumps.

The scooter is relatively easy to put together – the instruction pamphlet wasn’t all that helpful; there is a lever you have to push to open the scooter up, but once we figured it out, it’s easy. The scooter has adjustable handlebars for different heights and one of its best features is its wide deck. It is also lightweight.

I would say that although this is recommended for little kids 6-12, it might be a little too much for a 6 year old. It is however, great for older kids and even adults.

  26. Rebecca Grove says:

This scooter is perfect for my nieces. The fact that it folds up is fantastic, as it works with their portable lifestyle.

It’s very lightweight, so easy for them to move around on it, and the handles are comfortable for them to hold.

It rolls easily on the road and sidewalks, and is very stable while in use and seems to be very well built with quality lightweight materials.

It folds up well, and the pin holds it in place whether in the folded up or proper scooter use states.

Perfect for kids and teens to venture out on.

This scooter is very big compared to our current selection of scooters, and heavy duty. The instructions are minimal and not at all helpful in instructing on how to use this. It’s particularly difficult to figure out how to open up the scooter. The latches seem to need to be oiled because they’re very hard to maneuver.

It does take some getting used to because there are quite a few latches to consider. I also had trouble finding the second hook for the strap. I wish the instructions were clearer in the manual.

Riding it though is pretty nice and smooth. The stopper in the back works well, and the scooter is very spacious. However, my teen daughter actually did not like that it’s so big. I personally do like that it’s big though, and I like that the handle is adjustable. It’s just way too difficult to set up and take down!

Nice and stable heavy duty scooter, but very hard to set up and take dow

This is a great scooter but it’s a bit big for my son who I got it for. The good news is that his dad & I can use it and it will be ready for him when he’s a bit bigger!

The scooter is advertised as being for kids, teens, or adults. This might be true but it will be for bigger or older kids. I do think it’s cool that the handlebar is adjustable to allow for these different age groups to make use of it.

The scooter has a lot of other cool features. It folds and has a carrying strap. This could be really handy. It also has a kick stand! I don’t often see this feature on scooters and it’s nice.

The scooter needed no assembly which was awesome. It is quite comfortable to ride. Overall we are pretty pleased with it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersSetup is easy. It came with some loose bolts for you to adjust and tighten during initial setup. I find it stable and smooth to ride. The double suspension design and bigger wheels help with the smooth ride. I like that this scooter is adjustable and anybody in the family can use it. It has a very small footprint. You can easily just fold it after use and keep in the garage.

I’ve seen a couple reviews with the steering handle bars getting loose. I haven’t experienced this so far.
I’ve also seen somebody reporting the front joint being wobbly, it’s possible that the lever and screw are not as tight as I also noticed that when that couple was loose. In the video, I took time to adjust that part. It needs some force applied to secure and push the lever down.

Btw, I noticed a minor scuff at the back of the wheel mudguard. Not sure if it’s from packaging or shipping but no biggie as it’s barely noticeable.

Overall, I can recommend this scooter for kids and adults. I’ll update this review as needed.

One of the key things that made me order this was that it advertises a dual-suspension in the description, which is a great idea, but at this price, I was leery that it would work. I was wrong. This does have a much smoother ride than the kid’s other scooters. When we run it along the same driveway, there is a notable difference.

After unboxing, it took no more than 10 minutes to get it all set up. We checked that all the bolts were tight and made the handlebar adjustment. This is when we discovered the one thing that I can only describe as meh, the hands aren’t really tight. It’s very easy to spin them on the bar. We pulled them off and used some PL adhesive. They now stay on and don’t move.

Otherwise, there are some great features.
The adjustable handlebar that locks into three different levels,
    The brake that actually works,
Wheels run smooth and are soft enough to make riding a little smoother.
We like the fold-down option. It’s great for packing into a trunk or taking it on a bus. When carrying it, the included strap is a huge benefit.
Kids have found the kickstand easy to access, but it doesn’t get in the way while riding and attempting tricks.
We find the base to be nice and wide. The kids, and a couple of adults, have no problem getting both feet on it to coast.
Overall it feels and looks sturdy while being lightweight.

The overall fit and finish is actually very good, better than I would expect on something like this. The colouring is nice. It’s not “too out there” but still adds to the overall appeal.

As I mentioned, the brake does work well. A couple of the other scooters have thin steel brakes that bend and don’t do much. Here it doesn’t take a lot of effort to slow the scooter down. For us, this is a big thing as it’s a safety feature.

The Folding Scooter is easy to fold and unfold so you can easily bring it everywhere you want. There is a strap for carrying the folded scooter.

The handlebar has 3 adjustable height. The highest one is good for an average height adult. The handlebar is comfortable to hold. The rear brake works well. I like the big wheels, which provides a smooth ride.

Overall, this is a nice scooter for not only kids but also adults.

My kids have borrowed their cousins scooters before and enjoyed them so we wanted to get them their own scooters. This one was a plus with the larger wheels. It rides fairly smoothly and seems to be well built. The dual suspension makes a nicer ride for the kids not that they really cared if it was bumpy or not lol. There are 3 different handle bar adjustments so you can get the right height. It has brakes but my kids much prefer wearing out their shoes dragging them to stop both their scooter and bikes. We did find it a bit hard to collapse to store so kids may struggle with that part. It has a kickstand which is much handier than I expected. Overall my kids are having a great time with the scooter.

My little guy is 7 years old and ready for a “big kid scooter” as he calls them. I was happy to find this economical and mostly gender neutral scooter that he and his big sister can take turns with. The mechanism to fold flat is pretty easy and it stores away nicely. Its super easy to toss in the trunk to take to the park for some fun scooter time with friends and family. He loves it and says that its cool – so that’s a win for me!

Overall material and build quality is high. Looks strong in build. Should last several years if properly taken care of. Holds up to 220 lbs, so it is useful even for adults and not just kids and teens. The handlebar is adjustable and height can be increased, so it works out well if adults want to use this too. I like the foldable design, which makes it easy to store this in a car or even under a bed when not being used. I like the carabiner-stitched carrying strap, which makes it easy to carry the scooter around on your shoulders or just hanging on your hands if you want to carry it around. All in all, a great scooter for a decent price ($106 as I write this).

My kid likes to use his scooter to go to school in the morning but I always needed to pick him up after school if it was raining because his old scooter wasn’t accepted in the bus (non foldable). This scooter is a perfect alternative. According to my son the wheels aren’t as smooth, he can feel the small rocks easier. But it is much more convenient.

This scooter is good quality and folds up nicely to fit in the trunk. The quality of the construction is solid and has suspension that makes the ride smooth, even on bumpy terrain like the ones we have at the nearby park.

It is easy to get this up to speed and you can really travel pretty quickly with this scooter.

The height adjustability is quite good and even an adult can use this because of how wide the range of adjustment is.

Folding Scooter for Kids 8 Years and Up – Dual Suspension – 3 Adjustable Levels Handlebar,Shock Absorption System,Big Wheels Kick Scooter for Adult and Kids Ages 6-12 Years and Up-Scooter for Adult

This is a big wheel kid scooter that collapses flat. It has front and rear suspension to make for a smoother ride. On the bottom there’s a little spring-loaded kickstand. The height of the handles are adjustable by three points.

    What do I like?
    — kickstand very convenient
    — big wheels means smoother ride and less stoppage on cracks on the sidewalk.
    — brakes are very large area and easy to stamp on and not miss. Effective brakes.
    — nice to see reflectors on the scooter for visibility
    — grippy plate …. But I do wish the entire surface were grippy and remove the branding.

    What I don’t like:
    — it’s actually very difficult to collapse for a child so don’t expect your 8-year-old to collapse this scooter. It’s only useful when you want to transport the scooter in your car so an adult needs to help you collapse it
    — the suspension and various parts on the scooter do not look like galvanized steel so definitely will rust if you ride in puddles
    — this is a fairly heavy duty scooter and it is not light
    — suspension is not really adjustable so if you have a heavier kid or maybe even an adult then you will find this suspension is at or near its maximum compression already.

Overall I think this is a high quality product and easily worth the cost of 108$. It will definitely at last your child and hand down to another. I am an adult 175lbs and even I can ride it comfortably because the handle bar can be raised really high. So it’s plenty fun for really all ages.

Well made solid scooter with ability to grow with your child

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI had an ‘adult’ size scooter years ago and lost it in a move, so I was really excited to receive this one! The price point is amazing, especially considering you can get smaller scooters (kid size) for the same or more. AND it comes in my favourite colour, so that is a bonus.

Because the wheels are bigger, you can really get some speed on this thing and it is easy to keep up with bikes. The ride is really smooth; there are shocks in it to absorb bumps, so it really feels like we are scooting on a freshly paved road which is really cool.

It folds in half for easy storage/carrying very easily (my kids can do it), and it’s nice that it comes with the strap for carrying.

You can adjust the handlebar height which works out well if different people will be using it. I love this feature as I find that most scooters handles don’t go up high enough. Not so with these ones; adults can comfortably ride this bad boy!

It even has a kick stand. I have nothing bad to say about it. There are fights over this in my house now so I will probably have to buy a second one it’s that cool!

This is a great scooter. Large wheels, well built and smooth ride. I especially like the folding and portability, great for carrying on a bus or something when not in use. Shock absorber works well and it has a kickstand. The price is fair and I recommend it. Hope this helps your shopping today.

I like that the handle bars have three distinct levels of adjustment; As an adult, I find the highest level comfortable and the lowest level is able to accommodate smaller kids easily. Weight wise, it is bit hefty for a such a large scooter; I appreciate the included shoulder strap as it makes carrying the scooter easier.

It’s not too complicated to deploy; I found that the locking mechanism requires a squeeze from the base and steering column to come out. I love that the frame is solid and the integrated suspension system gives a bit of smoothness over bumps.

I didn’t find any issues with the finishes and the tension for the bolts are adequately torqued; I didn’t find any loose bolts and the scooter is ready out the box with no assembly required.

    Solid Frame; No Assembly Required

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMy daughter just learned how to ride a bike this summer and wanted to go biking every day after school. That is until the scooter arrived. She has since ditched her bike in favour of the scooter. She absolutely adores this scooter and picked up riding it without much effort, which for me is impressive since she has never used a scooter and we only removed the training wheels on her bike this summer.

I think partly the reason for this is the stability and smooth ride of the Joycruise scooter. The large wheels spin smoothly, the frame feels solid and the dual suspension actually work to absorb the bumps on the sidewalk. It even supported my 75kg frame, so I know the scooter’s construction is solid.

I did notice the front end became a bit wobbly and rattled after several rides. This was mentioned in the manual, but all it mentions is to tighten the allen bolts and nut. Not exactly helpful. I determined the headset wasn’t completely tight so I just hand tightened the headset and nut above. Don’t use a wrench here, because if you over-tighten, you won’t be able to steer. To remove the gap from the front tube connecting the handlebar to the headset, loosen the 2 bolts on the clamp with the included allen key. Then twist the front tube until it is flush with head set, but the handlebar is also aligned with the front wheel. Then tighten the bolts on the clamp. I haven’t had any issues since.

    LIKES
    – Large smooth wheels
    – Dual suspension works well to level out the bumps. But the large wheels likely contributes more to the smooth ride than the suspension
    – Good braking mechanism
    – Frame feels solid and durable
    – It folds!
    – Built-in kickstand
    – Camo Green colour is “legit”, according to my daughter

    DISLIKES
    – After several rides the front started to rattle. Manual mentions this but fix provided is very ague. I provided instructions to fix this above
Handlebar grips could be tighter, a bit of spray adhesive should help

Kid tested, parent approved. Fix for rattling front end

Pretty generic unboxing experience but comes with everything as pictured. Construction feels pretty solid and really love the larger wheels on this scooter. That with the suspension built in, it rides very smoothly and the wide platform makes is very comfortable to use. Can be collapsed and comes with a carrying strap to move it around. I must say that I especially like the little kick stand which proved to be much more useful than I ever though it would be.

In terms of cons though, a really big one would be the handle bars grips that are slightly too large for the handle bars so they just spin endlessly. I’m sure I could find some better quality ones to fit this but the ones out of the box are especially bad. Will also say the folding mechanism is especially poor in my opinion and takes a lot of finger strength to pull out a bar just to fold the thing closed. Another nitpick would be that the front bar (while grooved) isn’t perfectly aligned with the wheel and I didn’t notice an easily way to correct this.

Overall though, for the price I am actually pleasantly surprised. While not everything is perfect, it is a pretty great value especially when compared to other scooters I’ve gotten in the past. Only time will tell how well this holds up but as a cheap comfortable commuter, that while not perfect is still a decent amount of value that after a few customization would make it a pretty stellar scooter.

Our scooter arrived in an excessively large outer Amazon box. It was obviously able to tumble around inside its outer cardboard shell, as the scooter box itself was dented in some places and the metal had punctured through the bottom. Within the product box, the scooter is simply in a plastic bag with just some foam over the end of the handlebar pole.

Overall, the scooter arrived in good condition and with all pieces accounted for. There were some areas of discoloration on the wheels, but since we anticipate the wheels are going to be all scuffed up anyway, this was not a big deal. There are holes on the front of the handlebar pole and we are not sure if those were intentional, or if they were drilled by mistake. For aesthetics, it obviously would have been nicer if the holes were not there.

Despite being a simple piece of equipment, the instructions could have been written with clearer language and the accompanying photos would benefit from either being enlarged to show detail, or printed in colour so that the individual parts are easier to identify. Our kids find it a bit tricky to unfold the scooter, but after a few initial tugs, the locking pin is easier to move and we can quickly raise/lower the handlebars for them.

When it is folded, the length is about 93 cm. Our son was easily able to lift the scooter onto his shoulder with the strap, but given the length and the weight, he readily admitted that he would not want to carry it around for any length of time.

The board is a good width and has a nice, grippy surface; with three positions for handlebar height, the scooter can be comfortably used by both kids and adults. The kickstand is tucked under the board and this can make it harder to pull down if you have big, adult feet or really thick-soled shoes; the kids had an easier time deploying the kickstand than we did. In terms of materials, the scooter feels like it is solidly built and will hold up to multiple seasons of use. A weak point may end up being the elastic that attaches the two handles, but time will tell how long the elastics hold up. Both kids have enjoyed using the scooter. The price is very reasonable given the build quality and with just some small areas of possible improvement, we would recommend this scooter for others to enjoy.

Edit: less than a week into using the scooter, we can confirm that the handlebars are the weak point. Our daughter tipped sideways while going at fairly low speed and the scooter landed on its side as well. Even with the low impact, that side of the handlebar popped out and the elastic snapped. It can be fixed and the scooter is still completely functional, but reinforcing the handlebars in future versions of this scooter would be something to think about.

Solid scooter, some possible areas of improveme

This scooter is incredibly easy to set up and then fold and wear over your shoulder.

I got it for my nephew and I’m happy it will grow with him since the size is adjustable. It seems quite sturdy as well, and he says it feels great riding it, the wheels turn very smoothly

This is a great scooter, with all the features you could want. Assembly is easy – it just unfolds and snaps together right out of the box. It has big beefy wheels and full suspension, making it ideal for rough and off-road riding.
The one thing that really needs improvement is the instructions. They’re barely there, so you’re either going to have to have previous knowledge of scooter use & care, or research it all for yourself.

My niece and nephew spend time over at my place and I always feel like there’s never anything for them to do when visiting so I keep toys and games here for them. I just earned mega-bonus points when they saw this scooter (it was magical to see their eyes light up).

The scooter was incredibly easy to setup and so simple to collapse it for storage or to attach the straps to carry over your shoulder. I was thinking it would be uncomfortable to carry this but it’s not, the scooter is that light. There is even a clip to hold the handles when collapsed (I really feel like they thought of everything).

This is the first scooter I have ever touched, so my knowledge is lacking in this department but it feels well built and the kids had a great time!

    Very impressive scoote
