Great chair. Robust, comfy, versatile (lots of adjustments) and looks great. Great price for such a good chair with headrest, lumbar support, AND armrest!!
Was easy to assemble – see pics – all the tools come included.
No comparison at this price point. From all my research everyone told me to get a used Aeron for x2/x3 the price of this chair.
Super easy to assemble, the quality is not the best, but for the price you can’t go wrong, very comfortable for long periods of setting.
Would definitely buy again.
The assemble was a bit frustrating, but was annoyed when putting things together from IKEA and so on.
It has a good amount of support in all the right places and you can adjust them to be in the perfect location.
Been using the chair at home for the past 4 months.
The adjustable headrest and lumbar support are fantastic features that have really helped me to maintain good posture and avoid back pain. The high back design provides great support for my shoulders and neck, and the adjustable armrests are a nice touch that allow me to customize the chair to my needs.
Although the chair is well-made and sturdy – the head rest on my chair snapped from the side.
I contacted their customer service, they were extremely helpful and understanding. They promptly sent me a replacement headrest free of charge, and I was able to easily install it myself.
Their willingness to make things right really speaks to their commitment to customer satisfaction and their attention to detail. It’s great to know that if any issues were to arise in the future, I can count on SIHOO to provide excellent support.
Overall, my experience with the SIHOO Office Desk Chair has been nothing short of fantastic, and I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a comfortable, supportive, and high-quality office chair.
Very so comfortable and Great communication, as I had a problem with the chair and was great help and sent out a new part with the greatest of help
I’m still in love with this chair, before I had a gaming chair but it’s not as comfortable and it supports my back bette
In addition to the chairs stylish look, I have found the chair extremely comfortable to sit on for hours at a time providing well balanced all round support. Overall I would say a substantial quality product and am very pleased to have chosen it. Assembly was straightforward too.
Easy to assemble, comfortable and good height and lumber adjustments. Could do with back adjustment.
Was a little hesitant about buying this chair following some of the negative reviews, but basically, for this chair the array of bad reviews was less damning than the alternatives so choice was made by default.
Very glad it turned out like that – extremely happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend.
I have a very bad back. I spend a lot of time at my pc desk I have tryed around 5 chairs in the last few years and all of them claim good support but fail. This chair has changed my life literally I can spend as much time I need at pc now it supports my back great.
Nice comfort and support. Certainly the best chair ive had. My neck still gets sore though but i think thats because I’ve wrecked my neck sitting at a computer almost every day for 10+ years
Really comfortable & you can make lots of adjustments to get it right just for you. The mesh back is great & the arm pads are really comfy. The best bit is the lumbar support which helps me enormously. Not the most expensive office chair in the world but, a lot of money for me & I can thoroughly recommend it. A+++
Very good chair for the price. It has great back and head support and it feels comfortable to sit in all day. The only issue are the arm rests, they don’t go down all the way and do not move forwards and backwards. Other than that, I’m happy about the purchase
The chair is easy to assemble and is sturdy plus supportive. It has all the expected options for adjustment. I particularly like the adjustable back support.
Ok this is not a cheap chair, but for the money I paid, there is a great functionality and sturdiness. Comfort is so far so good, just need to wait for a little longer to review long hours.
The moment you will set on the chair, you will never regret the money you paid, I just hope it lasts long enough
Exactly what I needed, carefully adjusted to suit my frame and now feels like putting on a fitted glove, perfect for my back and neck support.
The back support needs to be more adjustable up and down. The chairs shoul be lockable in upright position rather than just have ability’s to layback
A much better alternative to the gaming chairs that are not meant to be sat in. My only suggestion to make this chair better is to get a set of rubber chair wheels, as the plastic wheels are not very premium.
Unreal for the price. Better than most office chairs.
A wonderful surprise was that you can lock the back at different angles. Great for people like me with bad backs when you need to recline.
Excellent product!!!
Overall, Very good quality chair (most parts) for the money, the bad part it makes a noise when reclining
*I am 5ft2 and the chair perfectly fits me. So comfortable, designed to fit how our body is shaped, and thus improves your posture. I especially love how it alleviates pressure on my lumbar with its adjustable lumbar support. It is extremely easy to assemble – I am awful at assembling but if I can do it literally anyone can .
Chair is sturdy and comfortable to sit in. Can be in chair all day and no back pain which I used to get in previous one. Lots of adjustable parts. Some bolts work their way lose over time so when a bit starts to move just tighten the relevant parts and good again for the next few months. Would recommend.
I have been really pleased with this chair. It is very comfortable to use in my work. I often spend 6+ hours a day sitting in it.
However it’s now 18 months since it arrived and one of the arm rests has split. The split is slowly getting worse.
I will contact the supplier and update any comments here.
Chair is comfortable, looks good and is easy to assemble.
Bought chair 13th May 2022 to work remotely for 227.98 and have not been able to use as wheel fell off. Email [email protected] the person the chair belongs to Mrs Allison Lancaste
A nice wide seat, good back and neck support and sturdy arm tests. Like the roller blade wheels, kinder to the floor. The padding on the cushion could be a bit thicker or more comfortable but it’s still pretty good. Very good value.
Researched quite a bit before buying and found this chair advised among others by a review webpage, and decided for it. It was at the upper limit of what I wanted to spend but it has been so worth!
Comes well packaged, secure delivery with password , easy to assemble. So far has proven to be sturdy and extremely comfortable. Back rest can rock or can be easily blocked fixed with various degrees of lumbar support. Harms rests are not flimsy as a video review showed if they are appropriately screwed in place.
A very pleased costumer!
Replacing a chair which failed on me (the back kept going back until I was doing the limbo) I took a gamble on this chair as I’m still often working from home and really should’ve got something with better back support many years ago. I have never heard of SIHOO before but found a YouTube video reviewing it and took a gamble.
The chair cost me 229 and my back is definitely thank me for it. I did read only they can get less comfy over time but after two months I can still say it feels as comfortable as it did out of the box. It was fairly straight forward to build, feels nice and robust and like others have said, did come with a pair of gloves which was a nice touch.
I’m no chair expert – I could not tell you why one chair is 1,000 and another is 200 but if you’re on a budget and looking for something which can help your back I’d definitely recommend this one.
Hope this helps
This chair is amazing as an all in all.
If you are looking for a comfortable, easy-to-assemble, durable chair, then this one is for you.
I have had this chair for a couple of months and I can safely say the quality does hold up over time for this chair.
I have gone through many many other chairs, and out of all the ones I have tried, this one stands out as a clear winner.
The price may be a little high to some, but for the return you get is completely worth it in my eyes.
It was very easy to assemble, and the customisability is definitely there.
Needed a supportive ergonomic chair for home office that would be comfortable after longer or shorter hours use, liked the look of this and so far after a weeks full time use it’s been great and feels very supportive. Happy so far 🙂
I bought this to upgrade from a cheap office chair that I’ve been using for nearly 5 years. It offers a good amount of support and is easily adjusted.
Sometimes the lumber support can be a bit of a nuisance if you’re not sitting correctly as it can dig into your back but this is easily solved by adjusting your posture.
Overall it’s a good quality chair and worth the money I spent on it.
I wanted to wait a few months after purchasing this chair to see how it would hold up. This chair is still just as great as when I took it out of the box. It hasn’t degraded or worn down at all. As someone with neck troubles, I never feel sore after sitting in this chair working my 9-5. I love that it can be adjusted for different needs as I am very tall! Great chair, would recommend.
The ergonomic chair market can be really expensive. This chair is the entry level sort of price-point, and I think this chair is incredible value for the money.
The bottom seat is firmer than you’d think, but I prefer that.
As a taller person I like how high the seat rises. Giving my legs full extension and my knees getting a 90 angle at resting point. Which I feel was important for correcting my posture issues with my old chair.
The highest adjustment for the arms is a perfect resting point for my arms to type at my desk.
Another reviewer provided a video showcasing the wobbliness of the arms on his chair. I have a similar thing, but it’s really not affecting me at all.
When my arms are resting on the chair arms they are firm and still. I have to actively rattle the chair arms with my fingers to achieve the irritating wobbliness that the other reviewer was highlighting. So don’t be too put off by that.
I am finding the back of the chair doesn’t go high enough to support my back as I’d hoped. I’m going to check what adjustments I can make with the back, but even at default setup it’s still comfy enough. I just wish the back and headrest were slightly higher.
It’s a sturdy and supportive enough chair. I’m happy at this early stage. And from other reviews, it seems like the chair can stand the test of time. Hopefully mine will do the same.

Was good for 8 months. After that the seat disintegrated. Company contacted me and replaced the seat without fuss.
The chair arrived on time but as I started to assemble it, I noted a tear in the back. (I should have been suspicious, the packaging was damaged). I rang Amazon and the best they could do was replace the whole chair, but that would take weeks and was wasteful: all that was needed was a new back. I said I woukd speak to the manufacturers , and the Amazon guy (Asif) said he would call me back Tuesday (this was on Saturday). I contacted SiHoo, who understood the problem, were happy to ship me just the damaged part, and by the following Friday, I had it and the chair was in use. No drama, Amber at SiHoo showed just how good customer service can be! Thank You Amber!! Disappointingly, Amazon never did call back, I guess I’m not important enough for them to waste customer service time on. If you want a good, comfortable chair, and you want to deal with a company that respects its customers, go direct to SiHoo….Anybody can look good when things go right, but its how they behave when things go wrong that couts. SiHoo are excellent. Amazon just barely adequate.
Bought this chair for work, really like it, love the back support and the tilt feature. The only issue is when tightening the screws to connect the part that supports you back to the bottom of the chair. They just weirdly don’t stay tight and all 4 of them have different spots that will make them tight. Can be rather annoying to deal with. After playing around with it, I have managed to get all 4 somewhat tight but that is the downside I have found with this chair.
Good comfortable chair. Foot rest works well albeit slightly fiddly to open up. Only gripe as per a few other reviews use that it doesn’t go fully 90 Deg upright, i.e. with it in most upright position I’m slightly tilted back.
The chair was easy to assemble. The only issue is the default resting position is not 90 degrees, but more than 90 degrees. Not comfortable for working from home. You can watch TV but cannot work due to the obtuse angle between seat and back.
Easy to assemble, with good instructions. Seat is comfortable but the lumber support is not. The pad is very hard, so presses into my back. Bit disappointed at this price point.
There is a lot of adjustment for comfort with the chair it’s only downside is that there is only an up and down adjuster for the arms. You will have to use the screws under the seat to get your arm position correct.
Other than that it’s very very nice
In general is a good chair, very strong and comfortable. the negative would be the armrest is curved so a bit uncomfortable when rotating the elbow using the mouse , it would be better having it flat, also the legs are quiet big in diameter so sometimes are in the middle of your feet.
Had the chair and been in use for a couple of months. Mostly used by my husband (5 foot 10”), but also occasionally used by me (5 foot 1”). We both find it very comfortable to sit in as it is very adjustable. Regarding assembly the feedback I got was that it comes in a surprisingly large number of pieces. Still husband assembled it all by himself in an afternoon and I didn’t hear any swearing so it can’t have been that bad. Compared to the professional chairs provided by my office the construction is visibly ‘basic’ (think plastic turn knobs rather than gas pressured levers), but no less comfortable for it. I think that if it was in a general office then eventually someone would break it adjusting the chair, but as it is only really used by one person and therefore not adjusted much/ very often I have high hopes that it will last a long time.
This chair is brilliant, I used to have a faux leather one and I would get get cramps in my back all the time. I saw a post explaining the benefits of a chair like this and decided to give it a go. Almost immediately after swapping to it the pain in my back started to go. Now after almost 2 weeks use it still hasn’t returned, it’s like a miracle cure.
It was very easy to assemble, instructions are clear and easy to read, all screws and washers are clearly labelled. I had this chair put together in less than 15 minutes by myself.
The seller was incredibly helpful, I had some issues with delivery (nothing to do with them) and they helped get it sorted almost instantly. When I couldn’t collect it for a few days, they messaged and asked if there was a problem and how they could help, their service went above and beyond.
My only con is the locking recliner, it only locks in 3 positions, so you don’t get full control of the position. But really that’s me nit picking, it doesn’t bother me at all.
All in all the chair is amazing and the seller is great, 10/10 would recommend this chair!
I bought this chair for the amount of good reviews and how good it look/ how much you can personalise the chair! But in theory it is good in practice I have some back pain and my coxis have some pain after a while of use( even after breaks) so I a it disappointed but A put a cushion to take away the pain in coxis and my back i trying to find the best spot on the back reinforceme
When it became clear that working from home was going to go on for more than just a few months I decided to replace my home office chair. This has been great and comparable to those used in the company’s office which cost 4 times as much. I am still at home 100% of the time so it probably gets more use than the average office chair (less holidays because there is nowhere to go and its also my computer chair so often gets weekend or evening use).
One year (to the day) later I contacted the vendor because one of the arm supports started breaking up. No quibbles and a replacement armrest arrived on my doorstep within 10 days shipped via international courier. The chair itself is still comfortable, has retained its shape and appearance and there has been no sign of the back or shoulder pain I experienced with the chair that this has replaced.
Love this chair. Absolutely perfect. Having previously bought a cheap chair for around 50 on another buying format (which was awful) I literally spent weeks on and off researching what was on the market. I was dubious about spending quite a large sum of money without being able to test it out first.
Anyway, so pleased I went with this. For the price (which is actually cheap if you want a decent chair) then this is value for money.
Used it for a couple of weeks now before writing a review. Spent 8-10 hours in it per day this past week working from home. My old chair was awful to sit on and killed my neck. As someone who has previously suffered from bad posture and neck issues over the years, I’ve not had a bad neck once when sitting in this all day. Ideal for my posture and ergonomically set up right for my desk etc.
Highly Recommend you won’t be disappointed. So pleased I spent the cash. Real value for money with good build quality
Having had my old chair over 5 years and working from home more since Covid, I decided to invest in a new chair. I have always had issues wth my back so did lots of research into what I needed and this chair seemed the right balance between features and price. It arrived in bits in a heavy box but is easy to assemble by watching the video, just check that the seat pad is facing the right way when you fit it as the holes work either way and you can, and I did, end up with the seat back to front.
I have been using it for a month now and it is very comfortable with all the adjustment that I need. I am 5ft 11 with short legs and it was easy to adjust. The tilt mechanism is not damped so you can tilt quickly back but, apart from that, no issues with it and I am glad that I bought it.
Was easy to assemble with a tool tat was handled and not a small Allen key some have that allowed you to get a good grip on to tighten the screws. Once assembled was comfortable and took a little while adjust to my sitting posture but supports well. Only thing I do find is the head rest is not worth bothering with as too far back for me and to low. Also the thigh clearance at the front of the chair is not as good as the chair is raised at the front. Overall happy with it though.
Firstly, I must say that I’m so glad I didn’t pay too much attention to the negative reviews. The one review complaining about the wobbly arm rests nearly put me off but as I found for myself, yes there’s some flexible movement, which actually I prefer, but more importantly…there’s no way these are flimsy or prone to breaking & I’m 18st 6ft3inches tall.
Delivered on time, swiftly assembled & looks gorgeous.
Wether it’s office work or desktop gaming this chair is perfect for sitting for extended periods of time (4hrs+) without any issues for me.
Here’s some measurements that might be helpful : At the chairs & armrests highest setting, with 18st (114.3kg) of love & joy sitting in it, the armrests sit just above the level of my desk at 760mm. Without me in it, the armrests sit at 795mm – 800mm.
My reasoning for buying this chair for desktop gaming is that most gaming chairs under 500 are flimsy, look ridiculous, promote poor posture, & are built for PLAYING, so why not buy an aesthetically pleasing office chair that’s built for WORKING.
At this price point was expecting somewhat more quality. The chair offers good support and seems sturdy, but the plastics feel cheap. Also there was a problem with the screw thread on one screw which fitted the arm rest. Thankfully it was only one of three screws, and rather than send it back, the two screws are offering enough strength that it seems fine. Don’t want to be too critical, but still somewhat disappointing. The chair so far (will send an update after a few months of usage) is performing well and no issues as yet with using for home office work.
This appears to be a great quality chair. It was easy to put together, despite some instructions that were difficult to understand. I should be really pleased with it. However, I’m 6’2 and find that everything is just slightly to low, even when at maximum extension. The seat height is a little too low for me, the lumbar support is a couple of inches too low to be useful and the headrest doesn’t even reach my neck.
I’ve worked in many offices over many years and sat on all sorts of chairs – this one is just as good as any I’ve ever used and has all the adjustments I’ve ever expected: arm-rests go up and down (not left, right, back or forward), seat goes up and down, back reclines, headrest and lumbar support are provided (* more later). The model I bought M18-M156 also has a foot rest which is a lot nicer than I expected, great for relaxing if you’re on a long phone call or a boring zoom meeting, or just watching video.
Assembly is easy (watch a 5-minute M18 video from Sihoo on YT to see) but needs some strength – the chair seat and back are quite heavy. Lifting the chair seat onto the pole in the base is the hardest part. The armrests are specific to each side – mine only had an ‘R’ sticker for the right armrest, but I’d already figured out which was which. All the tools are provided, with 2 spare bolts and washers.
It’s easy to operate the controls and it’s movements are all smooth. It’s strong and comfortable.
Like all office chairs, none are perfect for everyone, so I can’t give it 5 stars. In every chair I’ve used, there’s always something not quite right – but this ine is among the best, because the imperfections don’t bother you too much.
The only thing I feel could be improved in this chair is the lumbar cushion – it hasn’t enough padding and has hard edges – for me, the top of this support digs into my back, it isn’t painful but feels awkward… it can be adjusted and if you keep trying you’ll find a good depth and height for it. Some people like to feel some pressure in the lumbar support, this chair will apply pressure along the top edge of the support cushion – so if it had more padding or was slightly more curved it would be perfect. Even so, once adjusted it supports the lumbar region and is better than not having it.
he chair is very simple and great, it’s way comfier than a corsair gaming chair i’ve had for a few months; I’m 6ft 1 which isn’t that tall, but somehow it was a huge problem with the corsair chair, but not at all with this one – the customizable lumbar is amazing too, since we all have different backs.
I’m only giving it 4 stars because i bought the “upgraded” version with the roller blade wheels and they’re awful; you pull yourself in and the wheels face one way, then if you push out, they have to turn around and it feels like you’re going over an extension cord wire.
You’ve all seen pictorial instructions before, apparently drawn by a three year old, where the dimensions and shapes of the items don’t remotely correspond to what you have received, and to make matters worse you’ve got a fourth generation photocopy, and fewer nuts and bolts than the instructions describe.
I’ve never given a good review for instructions ..until now. I’d put off the assembly for a few days such was my dread of what was to follow, and being ‘fined’ by my wife for multiple expletives. But this was totally different! A clear set of instructions combining pictures with occasional helpful pointers in English, in a good quality booklet. The whole thing took 15 minutes with a further 5 for tweaking the position of the arm rests, heights and so on. The only point where I got stuck was with the word ‘shim’, though it was pretty obvious by process of elimination that this word meant ‘washer’. I’d never heard that term before!
Anyway, it would be picky to dwell on that point. 5 stars for assembly! Just amazing, totally unexpected.
I’m now adding to the original review above to give my verdict on the chair after a couple of weeks’ use. I find the chair very comfortable overall but it has minor faults. I was a bit worried about the lumbar support, a few people have complained about that, but I see no issue there at all. Height adjustment of chair and arm rests are independent, which is perfect. The range of movement of the back is very limited and to my mind the angle is not quite steep enough at the highest setting. In fact, I am struggling to discern any difference regardless of how much I turn the knob on the back. A slightly more upright position is needed, but it’s okay.
The one real dislike I have concerns the arm rests. You really want to have rotation about the axis of the rest. Your arm sits in a groove in the armrest, with a raised lip to the left and right. This is perfect if you want to tap endlessly the letter Q and the plus sign on the numeric section of the keyboard, but realistically the vast majority of your key presses are going to be more central, with your arms at an angle of 20-45 degrees relative to the arm rest. This means your forearm is pressing on the raised lip on the inner edge of the rest. If the lip were just on the outside edge it would be fine. Or if you could rotate the arm rests to be pointing slightly inwards.
However, the chair overall is very good, and would be perfect with a bit more thought about the design of the arm rests and the most likely positions of the users’ arms when typing.

Adding my review as so many others helped me decide to buy this chair! It’s a good chair for the price point. I won’t go into all the benefits as I am sure with a bigger budget you can improve on back support etc. But I use it everyday and I don’t hate it at all, it’s comfortable and the slight recline is my favourite position in this chair. For < 200 this I think, is as good as it gets. My previous chair was a 900 Haworth which I had to return to the company when I left the job so I've used expensive chairs before.
It’s massively better than Songmic Office Chair Ergonomic OBN52BKUK, which I bought for the spare room (although one might expect all these things are built in the same warehouse and designed by the same people). Like that, the Sihoo is limited and a tad flimsy around the arms, but overall, unlike the Songmic, it’s overall a more comfortable sitting upright experience. The rollerblade-style wheels, which I’d never seen before on a chair, are of particular note: combined with the chair being fairly light, it’s very easy to move around, it’s like gliding, even on carpet. Ultimately, it is a cheap office chair, you go into it not expecting the best build quality, but to its credit it has decent lumbar support (far better than the Ikea Markus it replaced, and the Songmics), and just as crucially, a semblence of a headrest with a decent range of movement, which the Songmics lacks entirely. Frankly, I’ve used far, far worse chairs in professional offices back in the Before Times.
Build is pretty easy, and the package includes a spare of everything, and an actually useful allen key with a big grip. I’m hanging on to that for future reference.
My only real negative, even at this price point, is that while the back recline options are limited to two additional fixed positions as may usually be the case in these types of chair, neither of them feel right: even the 2nd position is a too far back for my taste, especially given the seat reclines with it, so it lifts your feet off the floor and you have to reduce the height, which is awkward as both are controlled by a single, dual-function lever.
Still, for 136, and knowing the mesh will inevitably be torn to shreds by the cat in a few years, as happened to the Markus—hence why I can’t risk even a second-hand Aeron—I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Have low expectations, it will beat them easily.
It was easy to assemble and feels nice and comfortable. In fact, it was so good that my wife bought a second one.
I’m removing a star, just because the second chair had the wrong sized shims (washers) for attaching the back to the chair base. Luckily I could find some replacements in a local hardware store (I was able to use a washer left over from the previous chair to find a match) but it was an extra load of faff I didn’t need!
But all in all, I’m more than happy. It’s comfortably firm, and adjusts well.
Be aware that the back angle adjustment isn’t continuous, but has a small number of locked positions. (Or it can be free-moving with a spring return of adjustable tension.)
I was concerned that this chair may be too big, as others I’ve tried are, but it is a good size for me. If the headrest could come down another couple of centimeters it would be perfect, but as you can leave the headrest without tightening I can rotate it back and forward depending what I am doing and provides enough support for me. The seat is firm but comfortable, I don’t find the back support intrusive and the mesh good in hot weather. The up/down mechanism is excellent. I like the choice of rigid upright or ‘rocker’ effect of the back seat, the lock is on the up/down lever. I use the chair a few hours a day, but I’m sure it would be comfortable for an 8 hour day. I was recommended this by my osteopath who is treating neck pain for me, good recommendation. It was easy to assemble except putting the back on, I needed help with that, so better with 2 people. Last of all, I love the orange colour, something a bit different!
My husband needed a good supportive chair for working at his desk and so I went on the hunt.
I saw this chair with its lumbar support, neck support and arm rests that could be moved up or down and saw that it was available in a fun colour instead of just black, and knew that I had to have it.
When it came, I went about setting it up. Now there are many components to this but the instruction leaflet provided gives you all the information you need to get the job done.
I did it by myself and it took about half an hour, mostly because of the unpacking of all the pieces but once set up, I was amazed at just how sturdy it is.
Someone commented that the arm rests aren’t sturdy enough but I found them to be just that. I don’t really know why that would be an issue… There’s never any need to put your entire weight down on the armrests but I’m sure that if you did they would perform just fine.
My husband was over the moon and says he no longer has that niggling lower back pain when he works at his desk. He is working at his desk more now that he has a great seat.
It’s definitely a great buy.
With a mixture of reviews I decided to take the plunge. Many who gave negative comments about the sizing I thing must be over 5’8″ as it fits me perfectly. I can see how taller people could struggle to get the headrest to fit comfortably. Although Sihoo (I think that’s the name) have other chairs available and the next model up has an adjustable backrest so perhaps that would fit the taller people better.
It only arrived today so haven’t spent too much time in it, maybe 4 or 5 hours in total. So far it’s very comfortable and supportive. I can feel the pressure relief from my lower back as the chair encourages good posture. I came to this from a very comfortable 10 year old chair that I often used to fall asleep in (Not whilst working, just in case my boss see’s this) pre COVID. The last year of working from home finished it off and I’ve been researching seats for a long time as I know there’s a lot out there that aren’t as good as the blurb suggests. Given that shops are closed and you can’t visit to try I was super cautious. But I have to say I’m more than happy with my choice. Only time will tell if it remains as good as initial tests have been. Should it become uncomfortable I will amend this review and the star rating but for now, if you’re looking for a chair and are 5’8″ or shorter buy this with confidence.
It’s well comfy.
P.s. one review said that the gloves provided must be for a midget – I wondered what they were on about. In the assembly kit there is a pair of white cotton gloves provided, I can only guess it’s either to keep your hands clean while assembling or to keep the fabric clean? What you have to bare in mind is that the company who make this are Chinese I think, and how many Chinese do you see with big monkey hands? The gloves are sized for their home market, that being said I did manage to squeeze my large hands into them during assembly.
Any competent diy’er should be able to build this no worries. It’s actually easier to follow these instructions than some IKEA ones all in I’d say it took around 30 mins to assemble.
SIHOO Ergonomic Home Office Chair, Adjustable Headrest And Lumbar Support,High Back Executive Computer Chair,Upgraded to Rollerblade Wheels, 189.99
ORDER PLACED 16 January 2021 Delivered 19 Jan 2021
I’ve suffered With Back pain and Sciatica since a Fall in 1999 was forced to leave a Job as Security Officer been Online gamer since 1990’s and had many chairs including ‘Gaming Chairs’ Dining room chairs Wooden chairs plastic chairs.
Never had a chair quite like this, most gaming chairs have the Racing car style to them which isn’t great if you have broad shoulders and cushions that slide about allowing the user to slouch.
It’s easy to assemble, I had this chair assembled within minuets All the tools needed come with it fully adjustable headrest the arm rests despite appearances are a very firm cushioned material not hard plastic I opted for Rollerblade wheels as i use it upstairs on hard floor so they make less noise, they do travel a lot so I’ve purchased a small flat rug just big enough for the wheelbase.
Within the first week of owning this chair I fell asleep in it, I was not tired but it was so comfortable in the reclined position.
It’s nearly a month since i got this and used it every day for perhaps 12 hours a day
Highly Recommended. It really has made a difference in my pain management (I personally would like some removable covers for it though.)
The chair arrived very quickly and was easy to assemble – I did it myself in about 20 minutes. It feels solid and durable.
I have the rollerblade wheels and these dig into the carpet which makes it hard to move the chair whilst sitting in it. The tilt is either on or off, it isn’t possible to set a smaller rang of tilt. The full extent of tilt is quite far back which might be nice for a nap but too far for a mid-meeting ponder so i keep the tilt off which does still allow for a gentle recline.
Comfort wise it is pretty good. The seat is spacious and quite firm. It is comfortable for a while but numb bum does encourage you to get up every now and again, which is probably a good thing. The adjustable/removable lumbar support and head rest are nice features.
I am very happy with the chair and it holds my 6ft 4″ frame very well.
4 Stars because it isn’t perfect but I consider it a good value purchase
Update:
I’ve upgraded to 5 stars. After using this chair for a year I still love it and find other office chairs uncomfortable in comparison. One of the arm rests developed a small tear and the seller replaced it very quickly. So I can confirm excellent after sales support too.
My previous chair was a very comfortable leather lazy-boy type office chair. I decided to try a proper office chair for better posture. After reading many reviews, it was either this or the IKEA office chair. I was fortunate enough to at least try the IKEA one after the first lockdown and really wasn’t impressed with it, especially the arms.
Anyway, features i miss are a rocker that i had on my previous chair. The arms are comfortable and solid, however not very long and are a bit loose so they make a constant noise if you move your arms. I am by no means a skinny 5ft woman who i think this chair would be better for. I could do with another 2-3 inches on the length of the seat, it feelt like i am perched sometimes and not fully sat in it. After around 6hrs sitting on it, its time to have a good half an hour break and walk off that numbness.
On that positive side, the chair looks to be very well built. As long as the material lasts a good while then the chair won’t need replaced for a few years. Another small niggle is the headrest, it can move down all of a sudden, there isn’t anything to tighten it with, only notches.
Since owning the chair i have developed a stiff neck and dull pain in my shoulders, however this could also be a result of lockdown and spending a lot more time in the chair for work.
So… I absolutely love this chair, and after building it, I’ve just been lounging in it all afternoon with no lower back or shoulder pain! I felt compelled to write a 5 star review which is a very rare event for me. It has to be great for me to take the time to tell someone about it.
Overview:
A bit of background info, I’m a 5 ft 3 female and my whole working life, I have really struggled to find a suitable office chair due to being quite a short person. I have suffered with significant shoulder and back pain whilst sitting at any desks. Working in tech, I spend the majority of the day sat at a desk, furiously typing away.
The beauty of this particular chair is that it is fully adjustable to account for my lack of height. I considered gaming chairs before making this purchase, but decided against it, as I preferred the idea of a mesh back and adjustable lumbar support. The worst feeling in the world during summer is being unbearably hot and sweaty at your desk so I thought this would be a good solution to future proof myself for the upcoming summer months too. Great decision. You don’t stick to this mesh whatsoever, as the air circulation is great. I will also
Adjustable elements:
The lumbar support can move upwards and downwards, along with the point of contact with your back, which can also move inwards and outwards. The neck/head rest is height adjustable. The back moves back and forward when you’re sat in it, and there is an adjustable spring underneath to adjust the amount of tension to allow the back to stiffen up with your weight, or lean back without much resistance. The arm rests are also adjustable upwards and downwards. The foot rest is adjustable to length of leg size, and you can also set in a 45 degree angle mode. The seat is also height adjustable as you would expect with an office chair.
Assembly:
Easy to assemble and took less than 10 minutes. I actually couldn’t find the instructions (eventually found lost at the bottom of the box) and I was able to figure it out without them.
Build quality:
Very durable and has got some weight to it. It feels like a top quality chair straight out of the box. Base is very heavy metal, but it makes you feel like you’re sat on something that isn’t going to wobble around or warp.
Comfort:
I opted for the foot rest option and can honestly say it is a worthwhile upgrade. When this chair is in full incline mode with the foot rest up, in my opinion, it’s almost like sitting in a lounge chair. I will update this part of the review when I have utilised it as an office chair.
I would have no qualms in recommending this chair to anyone who has similar proportions and struggles to me, especially those who have found it difficult in the past to find a comfortable office chair.
It arrived 6 days before the expected delivery date, which was a really nice surprise.
Assembly was really simple and I managed it by myself before I started work in around 15 minutes, there was a pair of mesh gloves to protect my fingers from the pre-greased bolts which was a nice additional extra.
I bought this chair for its adjustability and I’m really pleased with it in that regard. Just about everything is adjustable and I found my ideal seating position really quickly, although I’ll probably tweak it over time. I’ve never had back pain so I can’t comment on its effect in that way but I can say confidently that I feel very supported and it definitely promotes good posture. The adjustable lumbar support is brilliant and feels really nice. The headrest is also really nice to lean back on and I can see it being really nice for lunch time naps with the seat reclined. The seat is nice and firm without being hard and feels like it will last a long time.
One thing I’ve noticed is that on a hard floor, the wheels turn almost too freely, meaning that if I apply even a tiny bit of forward pressure with my feet on the floor, I slide away from my desk, but it’s not a major issue.
Overall, I’m really pleased and I’m glad I didn’t spend the extra money on a second hand Herman Miller.
Like so many others, my office is now in my home. I bought this chair on the recommendation of a colleague and it’s good, but slightly flawed.
The good – really easy to assemble. Very, and I mean very comfortable. I have napped in it in the reclined position.
The not so good – I’m 6’4″. I could do with the headrest being slightly higher. Not a show stopper, but would be one improvement I would make. The lever that controls the recline function does not always work. This component seems a little cheap when compared to the rest of the chair.
Overall, I’m satisfied but it could be improved with a couple of minor changes.
Would I buy again? I’m not sure. I think so. Overall, it’s really comfortable and I’m spending every working day sat in it.
I purchased this chair on a Tuesday and received it on the Friday of that week. The chair was easily assembled and was quite simple. After a few hours of use I noticed it becoming slightly uncomfortable particularly in the neck position. However many others in my household tested this chair and commended its comfort so I don’t believe it was a deal breaker. I requested a return/refund and met with a lovely customer service worker called Jane. She explained that I could not return the chair but could have a refund of 60 for the inconvenience and keep the chair. Overall if the chair was comfortable in my own experience it would be 5* all the way around. Customer service and ease of assembly are 5* and could not have went smoother. If you enjoy a firm neck rest this is a perfect chair for you.
So, I wanted to wait a bit after reviewing this because I wanted to test it first. I have had this chair for around a month and used it every day as I am WFH and it has helped mitigate the constant back pain I had from the stupid chair I used before. It is adjustable on the arms, height, headrest and also has lumbar support height control. Let’s start saying it’s quite easy to build, even though lifting it for the final assemble has been quite hard because the top is very heavy. It angles A LOT when you lean. So much it will feel like you are always about to fall, but it’s very stable nonetheless and so satisfying to rock a bit when you are stiff for some time. So far is very good, I thought it would have been better but it’s probably me not standing much during the day that is causing me problems, not the chair itself. The only thing I would like to flag is that the locking system for the chair lean angle (don’t know how to call it) gave me quite a scare because it got stuck once! I discovered you can lock it at different angles, not only when upright, so I locked it when it was at full ‘aperture’ so to speak. Do not!! It got stuck for quite a while. Apart from that, the lumbar support is probably not at the right height for me I feel I might need some additional cushions or something for that. It’s a good one nonetheless. Very silent when sliding, has a nice colour (orange) and quality of materials, feels very sturdy.
I bought this for my home office knowing that I’ll be here for quite some time due to Coronavirus. It replaced a basic chair from Ikea. Assembly was very easy, it comes with an allen/hex key but its a poor quality one – though I’m sure it would have been good enough. I just rammed it all together with an impact driver. The quality of the parts is very good, it isn’t typical junk made of Chinesium. The lumbar support is great and the seat cushion is pretty comfortable. Adjustability and controls are decent. My main gripes would be with the arm rests. These can be adjusted up and down at your will, that’s fine. However they cannot be adjusted inwards/outwards without undoing the bolt attaching them and sliding them in/out and retightening. This is probably fine if you are the only person using the chair – just set them at the correct width apart and lock in. But if people of different sizes are sharing the chair this could be a pain. They also are quite hard, not so comfortable for resting elbows on. It would have been better for them to be cushioned, I might’ve given 5 stars in that case.
The chair came with a “prize card” where you scratch off and “win” a prize ($10 in my case). This is probably the same amount for everyone. However it seems to be a scam, you email in and they just ignore you.
With the office closed until April 2021 I decided to invest in a good quality supportive office chair. I know the new chairs at work cost a tidy sum, so I didn’t expect to get that good quality for my budget. However, this is as good as the expensive chairs at work, and it cost a fraction of the price.
Assembly was maybe 30 minutes, with a nice pair of white gloves supplied to keep hands clean. Very impressed that they added a spare screw for each type of fitting, and the ‘allen’ key tool supplied was really easy to use (not like the ones you get from a certain Swedish furniture company).
The chair itself looks really smart, better than the pictures on the listing. The seat is wide and firm, but not uncomfortable. It feels solid, like it will do the job it is designed to do. I have adjusted the height of the arms to suit me perfectly, the lumber support and headrest are also adjustable.
I use this chair for 8+ hours a day, and then the cat uses it for a few hours each evening (a true sign of quality if the fussy cat loves it) and I just have to hoover up the cat hair each morning before work.
For the price I have to say I am delighted with the product. It took no more than a week from purchase to delivery, exceeding my expectations.
Thoroughly recommended.
Received the chair yesterday and assembled.
Instructions are simple enough and it can be assembled by one person but two people would make it easier especially when fitting the back and lowering onto the strut
First impression wasnt good until when I realised you have to tension the back to stop you falling over backwards! But I still wasnt convinced and could see me trying to package a fully assembled chair for return.
It took a while to work out how to lock the backrest in place (next day) and this is my bug bear …. no instructions (in English). The Assembly instructions are adequate but there is no indication how to use the lever to adjust the seat heat and lock the back rest (Needed!).
Update1:
After 24 hours I think I will be keeping the chair and will update my review after I’ve used the chair for a few weeks. Off to find instructions/YouTube video on how to use a chair!!!!
Update2:
Received instruction video from reseller. Very useful and needed
As for the warranty – as for SIHOO saying they wont provide support if you dont buy from them – thats fine. Buy from anyone else for less – you are still protected by the retailler /Amazon and for 12 months sthe same as SIHOO (theya rent giving you any more than your consumer rights in the UK) . Saved me 15
I’m 6ft 2 and for me this chair fits well, the headrest can move up and down and the top of the seat is almost level with my shoulders so my back is supported all the way. The armrests move up and down but do not move forwards and backwards, you can raise the height of the seat via a lever on the side which is good and you can also tilt the chair on a rocker if you wanted to sit straight or at a 45 degree angle, though who works at 45 degrees i’m not sure.
The chair looks stylish which was important to me as I do content creation and film around my desk set up. So far it seems well build and fairly robust and despite reading some criticism of the seat comfort I actually find that aspect really comfortable.
Sadly there is a BUT, I’ve used this for a week now and at first the support from the lumbar back support feels great, it definitely does the job of supporting the lower back and you can move it up and down and forwards and back depending on how much support you want. The BUT is the firmness of this lumbar support, as I sit now its really prominent and I can feel it almost digging into my lower back despite being as far back as it allows. The problem is there is no way of getting rid of this feature and to be honest its already at a point where I’m considering emailing SIHOO to ask about returning the product. It’s almost like there has been a trade off where they have opted for maximum support and minimal comfort.
I’ll update on things in time.
Firstly, this is a very supportive & easy to assemble chair (but ideally, you need two people). It looks great but mine arrived with some issues. Given the enormous problems I had to actually receive it, I decided that returning it would just be further hassle so I’ll live with the issues. Minor they might be, but I believe I paid for a reasonable standard. (Post review note: complaint dealt with satisfactorily by Vendor who offered a goodwill gesture). Some faux chrome finishes are scratched & show some tarnish but the chrome base arrived with a minor dent as the box had clearly had a hard transit & was holed in two places & crushed in another. Not good. Also, delivery was a nightmare with two wasted days when the shipper, DPD, said they’d deliver but didn’t & as I found out DPD’s customer service is non existent – you can’t talk to anyone & they don’t answer their online forms either. The Vendor tried to help too. Not withstanding the above, cautiously recommended as it is very comfortable & generally good quality. Post review note. Upgraded to 4 stars – the writer is of a burly prop forward build & this chair is very, very comfortable.
Like the rest of the world I have begun working at home in the past months. I have most of the kit I need for this but after a few weeks I realised my old, somewhat battered, secondhand chair was not up to scratch.
Looking for recommendations is a tricky business, trusted sources are few and far between online. Eventually I settled on a shortlist and the SIHOO was on it. Buying a chair without an opportunity to sit in it is a voyage into the unknown. I would normally have visited bricks and mortar stores to test the options but a pandemic lockdown means that was not possible.
I have had this for a couple of weeks now and after spending 9-4.30 sitting on it each weekday I can tell you it is all I hoped for at this price point. You can easily spend a grand on an office chair but that is beyond the reach of many like me. For less than 200 this chair is teriffic.
Once assembled (took me about 35 minutes, less if you have an electric drill or screwdriver with the appropriate Allen key bits) it feels sturdy. You can adjust height, arms (independently if you desire) back and lumbar support. There is also a headrest which I don’t use much during the working day but is nice when you tilt back and relax with book or something once your work is done.
I can recommend this for folk on a budget, it feels more premium than the price point. I would also point out that when I ordered delivery was timed at three weeks. Someone must have been working overtime as it arrived within three days!
I’ve only just taken delivery of this and put it together, but so far, so good.
This is quite a sturdily built chair, with a reassuring solidity. The chair comes together very easily, compared with others I’ve had, although I’d recommend taking the parts up one by one, if your home office is upstairs: the whole package together is big and very heavy.
Each of the parts has a reassuring heft and look good quality. This is no Aeron, but it looks solid and well made. Strangely this comes with two sets of castors (one for carpet?) and extra fixings, but that is always welcome, as are the tools. The instructions are also very straightforward, if a little small (if, like me, you need reading glasses).
Once built, this chair provides firm support, both from the seat and the mesh back, which I like (being a little heavier than the average man). The adjustable armrests are comfy, although they only really adjust up or down (alas, not swing-out to make this an armless chair). With recline, tilt, swivel and height adjustment, it is easy to get your comfort zone dialled in. I don’t normally get chairs with headrests, but this one is comfy, adjustable and feels solidly made.
Again, it’s no Herman Miller chair, but so far, sitting on this chairs compares well with my office Aeron.
Of course, time will tell if this chair stands up to to the usual abuse, but so far, I am very happy.
UPDATE: Over a year in service and no problems whatsoever. Just as comfortable and sturdy as day one.
Assembly was fairly straight forward with all the tools required to complete the job including two different types of hex keys. One of which was a lot more comfortable for tightening bolts. All of the screws were clearly labeled which made the process easy and each type came with a spare which is great. That said, time could be saved with a few simple arrows on each of the chair pieces as it is very easy to end up connecting parts pointing back to front instead of front to back.
From a support perspective, there are good options, adjustable lumbar support, and slightly adjustable headrest as well as movable arms and chair height. Unfortunately, comfort is a bit of a mixed bag, the base is great, however the lumbar is barely cushioned at all so can feel quite uncomfortable at times.
As for build quality overall, the product feels well made, the only criticism would be a slight wobble although this could be down to the assembly. I’ve given this 4 stars overall as it provides great value for money, at just under 160 I would happily recommend this chair for anyone spending a reasonable amount of time at a desk.
I needed a replacement for my 5 year old office chair, so I figured I would at least get a decent replacement. I received it in the mail a couple days ago and I’m not regretting it so far.
1. Very comfortable to sit in for more than a couple of hours (my old chair caused me mild back pain after an hour of sitting). The breathable mesh back keeps me fairly cool in my otherwise hot office.
2. Easy to follow instructions. It only took me 30 minutes to put it together. I suggest attaching the back onto the bottom bracket before installing it to the seat unless you have a second person around to help. You also might want to check the shims before you start construction. There are only a few that fit the large screws (I had to take 3 screws back out just to get the right shims).
3. Included everything you needed to put it together. They even threw in some mesh gloves if you don’t want to get your hands dirty!
4. The mostly metal construction feels very sturdy and like it will last.
5. Adjustable height arm rests are super nifty. Especially when you’re switching between different height desks like me on a regular basis.
6. The casters are very quiet and easy to roll. I can pretty much roll across the office in dead silence if I want.
Overall I’m happy with it so far. I’ve sat in more expensive chairs similar to this price and this chair doesn’t seem too far behind. It’s definitely worth the extra cash over the basic task chairs you’ll find everywhere. I’ll keep this review updated down the road depending on how well the chair holds up for me, but I think it should be okay for a long time. Cheers!
