Took me a while but my son has installed this in his new bedsit. It’s in a rather sketchy area and he’s already had the police round asking about local drug dealers! His shared student digs were broken into a few years ago and this has, understandably, made him more conscious of the importance of good locks etc. This system is a good start towards keeping h8m safer and I like the window sensors to remind him if he’s left the “wrong” window open (ie accessible from the street). It also has a ‘home’ function for him to use whilst sleeping. It’s a shame he has to pay a monthly subscription as his rent is already astronomical this year but I’ve always had to pay for a monitoring service so I guess this is normal. There’s nothing worse than an unmonitored alarm going off anyway, disturbing the neighbourhood for what may have been something silly. Overall I’m very happy he has this installed now.
So easy to install support from Simplisafe all the way if you need it nothing too much trouble easy to operate highly recommended.
I got the system after a series of break ins in my area. The window/door sensors are particularly reassuring and its great that you can set the system to “Home” mode to ensure you are safe even whilst at home – all external sensors are activated but not the internal motion sensors. You can customise the system to your own needs with multiple different sensors and camera add ons. I haven’t used tha camera as I already have other camera’s set up so can’t comment on the quality of the camera feeds or night vision.
I’ve been researching home security for a while and finally decided on SimpliSafe, I. Very impressed.
It was easy to set up (and I’m a technophobe!) The telephone support was brilliant and if I ever move I can take it all with me.
I love that you can add on items at a later date too so I’ll buy and add more in the sales.
You won’t be disappointed.

Read the instructions and test every item B4 sticking them up.
When setting up internal camera, screen shot the QR code and enlarge it, and it connects to the camera straight away.
But… Pick your service package from the start, for me upgrading caused glitches. Staff sorted it and were incredibly helpful and technically sound.
Also cameras a bit harder, needs a smartphone app, and be sure to have them near the base station to pair with system before installing, and definitely check for software updates before installing them. If you do these then they are quite impressive. You need a good WiFi signal and you will need to charge the internal outdoor batteries for about 8 hours. Night vision and sensors for movement really decent.
We have 4 cats and they have not set off the ir sensors at all yet, but watch the settings and placement, the instructions are clear and sensible.
Handy chime when alarm off to announce protected doors etc being opened, internal camera has privacy shutter for “at home” setting.
Lots of optional plug ins, including smoke alarm, water leak and temperature sensors and panic buttons. If twinned with full service package the security staff can (with your consent) check the cameras, spot the problem and direct correct emergency services having confirmed real incident.
Also nice to be able to check cameras from the app, and get alerts of motion etc to check complete with video clips. Had a laugh at a helpful Amazon delivery driver who left parcels in the waterproof cat house pod in the garden and clearly found the cat “pod” highly amusing.
Really easy to install, with step by step guide. Came in several little boxes all marked so you new where you start. Gives you the option to add to your more as and when you want to .

Very easy to set up, but does take longer than 1 hour, depending on how many add-ons you have ordered. To get the best out of the system, you definitely need to sign up for the professional monitoring which is efficient and has no contracts. Gets my vote.
We purchased this after reading many reviews of various security systems and decided this would be the best fit for our needs. It’s really simple to install and set everything up and our home now feels much more secure with the cameras we have. The camera quality both day & night is really good. For complete peace of mind we went for the 24.99 a month premium package. Overall really satisfied so far.

I couldn’t be more happier I think. Setup is easy, naming your devices, installation. Quality of camera is excellent. Checking via the phone app when ‘away’ on 4G excellent, about a 1 second delay.

Great Alarm good value and a real easy set up
Easy to set up. Great package of kit to start off. Had an issue connecting the camera, phoned SimpliSafe and they were so helpful and was sorted within minutes.

My system come with a door, PIR and a camera as well as the control panel and the hub itself and it’s perfect for what I need it for. Camera comes on when I set the alarm to “away” mode. The apps good to but be aware you have to have the top monthly subscription to be able to use the alarm functions of the app otherwise it will only be for the camera.
At the time of writing I pay 19.99 a month for the monitoring and that gives me full access to the app! It also connects to my Alexa so I can ask her to arm the alarm too, only thing she can’t do it disarm it as it obviously needs a password.
I’ve set it up so me and my partner both have different passcodes to disarm the system so that makes it so much easier to remember.
So many options with regards to volume, if you want the hub to make a noise when door and window contacts are activated etc.
Highly recommend and you do really get what you pay for and more with this system.

The set up is easy, with step by step instructions. However, there is no option in those instructions to just have the basic service – there are 2 pay for subscription options only so I had to get that and now have to retrospectively cancel the subscription. To be honest, I feel a bit conned.

Very good price as simply safe website was twice the price for same product..works really well at home has everything you need for alarm system.

Really pleased with this purchase. We had an old wireless alarm which was always temperamental and required constant maintenance. So far this has been so easy to install and set up. I told the wife I needed a few hours to set it up, but it took around 20 minutes and the quality is top notch. Have already recommended to family.
Fantastic kit, and the support has been great. The base station walks you through the setup easily, and the sensors work well. Only complaint I’d have is the lack of integration with things like IFTTT.
Out of the box, this product works amazingly. It is literally ‘plug and play’ with no technical skills needed. I did have one issue with getting the system to sync with Simplisafe Central but this was resolved by one of the support team who were super helpful. You do notice that this is a US based company and the UK side of it is still fledgling, but I am sure this will get better with time. People grumble about the cost of the remote monitoring service, but I look at it like this, it is a third of my annual house insurance and probably a lot more useful.
We brought this after a break in my home. I get so unsafe but the security system has made such a difference to me and my family. I feel safer, it’s easy to install and you can pay an additional 19.99 for remote monitoring. I think it’s an excellent price of kits well worth the price.
Easy to install and does exactly what you need, visibility on the camera detection is very clear, and love being able to talk to my husband who uses it in his unit at the press of a button we bought the siren bell as an add on and it’s very loud
Very easy to install, and in all an excellent all round package.
The sensors you can stick up with the included adhesive strips on the back, however I found the heavier sensors like the alarm siren the adhesive won’t hold it for long, but all the sensors have holes you can screw into the wall for extra security. The subscription isn’t required for a basic system but well recommended, I can keep an eye on the status, get alerts on my phone and have the piece of mind that if I am not at home the monitoring service will dispatch the police if I’m not there

Got the 13 piece set up from Amazon at an excellent price. Box came and was very impressed with how well made everything looks to be. Very ‘Apple’ like so not a bad thing at all. Took longer unwrapping everything than actually fitting it. It’s very simple and the instructions are clear. Had it a few days and everything is as advertised. Gone for the Premium Plus with monitoring and at 19.99 a month its a no brainer. Feel much safer now it’s fitted and would definitely recommend to anyone.
Really easy to set up in minutes, adding additional sensors,siren and cameras is a doddle. My entire house and detached garage are now fully protected.

Really easy to synchronise all device/sensors on entry pad.
Suggest you place all sensors before starting synchronise as it lists each and everyone really quickly,made me rush around a lot.
Alarm is a doodle to work,instructions are clear and concise.
And instead of a very annoying beeping that gets faster as you are trying to leave as on ADT you get a minute countdown instead.
The bargain of the pack is the camera,good quality and live on mobile even when I am out at work.
The only downside to it all is that you only get 1 motion sensor per order.
I have 2 entrances so it cost me 30 to get another one.
The 13 pack order would have had too many unused items to be viable.
I don’t normally leave reviews but I felt this was deserving I have been looking for a home security system for a while and have looked at so many but I kept coming back to this one, the ease at which it’s set up is incredible, the quality feel of the parts is reasuring two hours after starting it was all set although I didn’t trust the adheshive pads on the motion sensors after all if one of those falls off while armed you could end up with a false alarm call, the system its self works well as a stand alone but this really comes into it’s own when signed up to one of simplisafe monitored plans they start at 12.99 for a standard plan and the pro plan is 19.99 it sounds a lot but what your getting for that price it’s pretty good ,fully monitored 24/7 peace of mind.
This product is fantastic. As an electrician i have always been dubious about wireless alarms. But did some searching and found this was nothing but good reviews. So i thought i would give it a try. This is very sensitive and works an absolute treat. This has swayed me from wired alarms. It was installed easily and very simple. Really happy with the product and how responsive it is!! Thanks simplisafe i can sleep easier at night now!!

The SimpliCam was a little glitchy for the first couple of days but I think I’ve found the best WiFi settings for it now and it seems to have settled down.
Like I mentioned, the items included in the system look stylish and modern, and the app is clean, and simple to use.
Back to the support. Called up on my first day using the system and requested my 1 month Free of the Pro subscription. Was told it would be added. It wasn’t. Called support the next day a little upset and the lady there apologised for the mistake and gave me 2 months Free as a way of saying sorry. That’s how you do customer support right! Really impressed with that kind of support.

A very good system. Easy to install and appears to do everything it claims. One word of warning is do not trust the sticky pads as the only form of fixture for the sensors. In the first week we have had six instances where some of the sensors have fallen off from various surfaces. Luckily all occurred whilst we were at home and the alarm was unarmed. If it had occurred whilst we were out it would have resulted in a false alarm. If you are paying for the monitoring it would result in a call out charge. Screws are supplied with the kit and I strongly recommend they are used
