It works like it’s suppose to and I’m very glad I got it instead of the solo. I saved 4x on the cost and don’t end up using it as much as I thought I would. It’s great when hosting though.
Easy set up, works well and throws off heat. The size is nice for two or maybe 3 but you need to be fairly close to feel the heat. smokeless works well and easy to dump out ashes and pour wood chips in for the next fire. Very happy with it.
Its well made , sturdy I did a buy a fire mat to put under it , I have been primarily using starter logs, it does a good job containing the fire and the ash collection in the bottom half works well , just remember to empty it out occasionally!. No rusting of any sort , wil update if anything changes.
Haven’t used it yet, but put it together and it’s a very solid build. The carrying bag is well made and feels sturdy in your hand with the burner inside. Can’t wait to use it the first time!
Update: Using it for the first time. I’m not dissatisfied, it does take a little time to get it going with pellets; but well worth it. Little to no smoke and plenty of heat. Would recommend for the price compared to SoloStove.
I bought the XL size. I was a little doubtful of all the positive reviews here, but this is one of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon. It’s much cheaper than the popular brand but it works so well. It is well built and I like how you can get good flame from wood pellets.
When I add too many wood pellets or small pieces of wood it will begin to smoke, and at times a lot. But I’m getting the hang of it. Uses very little fuel. Very bright fire. I use cotton balls soaked in Vaseline to start the fire or rejuvenate it. Nice personal fire pit for smoking cigars and having a whiskey.
This is the perfect sized fire pit. I was hesitant since I am coming from a 36 inch pit and downsizing to this 21 inch but this one is really impressive. It puts off a ton of heat and works really well as far making less smoke. It doubles as nice grill if you order grill pan to match the size
Nice portable smokeless fire pit. Got it for my camping trips. Well made, easy to set up and easy to use. When packed in It’s bag, it’s not to big to pack away. I got the smaller one (11 inch) you will need to cut your wood smaller (6-8 inches) to fit into the fire pit but it still does a nice flame and puts off a good amount of heat.
We have really enjoyed using this. Nothing quite like a real fire-sorry but propane isn’t the same. Helps help the smoke down to a manageable level. A breeze to set up and enjoy
Well-built and simple to put together and take apart for storage in bag. Perfect for around our pool. The pit does not smoke as advertised and surprisingly a much better flame than anticipated. I’m using wood pellets and really like i
Wanted a solo stove but didn’t want to pay the heavy price for one. Bought this instead and I have used it at night to burn wood. Works as advertised and the heat can be felt about 3-5 feet away. Comes with a storage bag.
Once you get used to how to use it, it is great. I played around with it, and liked using pellets and wood in a combination. You can use either, but I used 1 bundle of wood and about 1/4 bag of pellets over about 3 hours of steady campfire. Cleans up easy the next morning, and the storage bag makes it easy to transport.
Is it a Solostove? No. Don’t expect it to be a solostove. But does it do the same thing a solostove does for a third of the price? Sure does. I don’t even cover mine and leave it outside and it still looks pretty good almost a year later. Great for those smaller porches and whatnot (I wouldn’t use it on anything other than a concrete pad, don’t use it on a wooden porch, obviously.). I don’t use pellets, I use dried hardwoods.
The paint and the bottom plate that holds your fuel warped on me during the 1st burn. Second burn took some more paint off and after a few days the rusty looks came in. I keep it outside. And clean the ashes out. I don’t store it in the bag and just keep it under the patio. Works great to burn wood. Some pellets tend to fall thru the holes into the bottom. I buy bricks of hardwood sawdust to cook with since it’s cheaper than buying BBQ wood.
I did buy this as a fire pit and realized if I let the flame go to coals I could cook on it as well.
I like this pellet burner, It’s small compact, has a case, and it Burns well. You just have to feed it frequently with 1 or 2 handfuls or the fire goes out and it smokes until it catches fire.
