This sensor solar light arrived nicely and securely packed. First impression, it’s well made and has a very fine finish overall. There are dozens of tiny yet very bright LED bulbs and these emit a cool white light (6500 kelvin). I also like the fact that it has a 5 meters long cable for the solar panel so light can be installed anywhere whereas the solar panel can be placed somewhere higher up to absorb maximum sunlight. Been using this for almost a month now and very happy with its performance.

The light also came with a handy little remote control. There are 3 different light modes and these can be selected using the remote very easily. Installation was also very straightforward with everything provided in the box. It has a very good sensor and it works just fine in all weather conditions. All in all, very pleased with the quality and practicality of this sensor light. For this prices, its also pretty good value for money too. Would happily recommend it and rate it as 5 Stars!

A super bright garden solar light with a solar panel that can be situated up to five meters from the light itself.

This garden solar light comes with everything needed to set up, in the box you will find the light, a solar panel, small remote controller, screws and raw plugs and the user manual.

The installation is a two minute job with only two screws to secure the light and two screws for the solar panel. The light has 3 different lighting modes: 1.Security Sensor Light Mode; 2.Dim Brightness Sensor Mode; 3.Constant Light Mode. I like that the light has a PIR motion sensor, as soon as I walk out the house door the light comes on when it detects movement.

Very bright power saving garden security light that costs nothing to run.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very bright and simple to install

This light comes well packed along with wall fixings, allowing angle adjustment and also removal, when needed. There are knobs which connect the backet fixing with light or the solar panel). The solar panel is good size to support the LED light. There is a corded solar panel (with an option to disconnect the cable from the light). The light has cool white colour, it’s very bright when motion is detected and light comes on.
The light has a switch button on the back of the light.
The cable connecting solar panel with LED light is 5m long and this gives us the option to install the solar panel in most sunny spot while the LED light can be installed even indoors like shed, garage, shadowed area, etc.
This light is easy in operation and requires nothing but instalation and source of sun light on the panel.
The light comes with remote control which is very basic as its only switches the light on/off and allow to switch between light modes (3 light modes: 1-activated by movement, 2-dimmed and goes bright when movement is recorded, 3- always dimmed even when movement is present).
I do like it and can recommend it.
Price is also acceptable. It’s good stuff to have.

This light is very good for the size, I’ve used it in the shed. I would say its probably as bright as a 60 watt bulb and it lights the whole shed up really well. It won’t light the whole garden but It’s ideal for any dark area of your garden. It’s great for putting anywhere that you don’t have electricity running to.

I like that there is a 5 metre lead from the light to the solar panel so you can place it in the sunniest spot, which can be a long way from the light. the PIR works well, and it comes with a little remote control to change the setting, but it seems pointless to include more settings than the first – off in daylight, PIR sensor motion detection at night. There’s an on/off button on the light as well, and it’s rated IP65 waterproof.

5.0 out of 5 stars quite bright for the size

This solar powered light comes in two parts, the light itself and a solar panel. They are connected by a 5m cable with a waterproof connector and this should be suitable for most situations. There are also two brackets, one for the light and one for the solar panel and screw fixings are included to attach them to a timber or brick wall. Most people will also need to buy some small cable clips when routing the cable.

I was going to give this light a one star rating because I could not get it to turn on despite leaving it for a couple of days in sunlight. I even emailed the seller to give them an opportunity to resolve the problem but I haven’t received a reply.

    The instructions simply state:

“Please check the light works normally or not. Place the solar panel face down and press the ‘mode’ button. If the light blinks and turns on, it is working correctly”

The remote control has an ‘on’, an ‘off’ and three ‘mode’ buttons’, however, pressing the ‘on’ and any of the ‘mode’ buttons still didn’t turn the light on.

After waiting a few days without a reply from the seller I thought I would review the light but checked it again. It was then that I discovered what looked like a small white plastic plug on the back of the light. When I pressed this the light came on. However, there wasn’t anything in the instructions regarding this ‘on/off’ button on the back of the light. A closer inspection of the fourth photograph on the product’s web page does indeed show this button. It would have been useful if this had been printed in the instructions and also the words ‘on/off’ moulded near the button. Repeatedly pressing this button appears to cycle through the modes as well.

In use, the light is very bright. It will detect movement from approximately 5 metres in front of the lights sensor and from about 45 degrees on either side. The light will only illuminate when it is dark. In ‘mode 1’ (recommended) it will be fully bright for about 20 seconds when it detects motion and then turns off, in mode 2 it will do the same and switch to fully bright when motion is detected but will then switch to dim rather than off. In ‘mode 3’ it will just be constantly dim. Having a remote control is much more convenient than switches on the light itself especially if it is mounted somewhere difficult to access. However, there are no adjustments to change the timing, the angle/distance detection of the sensor or how dark it has to be before the light will illuminate. After being left out in the rain there was a small sign of water ingress in the light unit (see photo) although it could possibly be just a few small drops of condensation.

Now that I’ve managed to get the light working I’m happy to recommend it but I will update this review if it stops functioning.

Great for adding an outdoor light for places you can’t or don’t want to run mains too.

I put this light on the side of my house where I keep the bins, I’ve been planning to put a mains light out there for a while but been putting it off because of the lack of a nearby power point to wire it into, so when this came up I thought I would give it a try.

The 5 meter cable allows you to put the solar panel in a place that gets more sun then where the light will be fitted, But you can also mount the solar panel to the light if you wish, The only issue with doing so might be that you have to bundle up all the cable behind the light if you do so.

I mounted this light on the same wall as my side door because I don’t own the wall opposite, so I was expecting that PIR not to quickly pick me up, but it triggers as soon as I step outside so very impressed there.

For a solar charged battery power light I’m surprised with the brightness you get out of this light, even during the winter months with less sun to charge the battery, however your mileage may vary based on where you put your solar panel and how often the light is triggered during the darker hours.

Only thing to keep a note of, the light doesn’t like turning on during the day and the light determines this by the voltage coming from the solar panel, so during installation you might want to cover the solar panel with a coat or something to make sure its working as expected in the mode you wish (unless you wish to install the light at night – lol)

I’m unable to test the lifetime of the internal battery, but I’ll update my review if the battery dies before I expect it to.

This light arrived in a sturdy cardboard box that contains:

    * The light.
    * Solar panel (5m cable)
    * Mounting brackets for light and solar panel.
    * Screws/plugs for mounting.
    * Remote control.
    * Instructions.

The supplied brackets allow you to mount the bracket first then simply slide the light and panel into them and fix with the supplied thumb screws.

The light has three modes (given in the product description) and I have found the trigger distance to be about 4-5 metres.

The main advantage of this light is that the solar panel can be mounted remotely from it. We only use our greenhouse for storage and it’s in an unlit corner of the garden with a path that can be treacherous in the dark. Because of trees and the position of the fence a normal solar light with a fixed panel wouldn’t get enough sunlight to charge. With this light I’ve been able to mount the light where it’s needed and mount the solar panel in a different place facing south where it will get plenty of sunlight.

The light is brighter than I expected and does a great job of lighting the path. I have attached pictures and a video of the area at night with the light off and at night with the light on and you can see how well lit it is.

My only criticism is the lack of adjustment. The whole assembly can be rotated vertically but there is no horizontal adjustment. Also, the PIR sensor is fixed to the main light and it would have been much better if this could be moved independently.

This light is perfect for what I wanted but I also have a similar light from the same manufacturer that has been in service for over a year without any problems (it even works in winter). This other light has independently adjustable side lights which can be very useful if you need more light spread (https://amzn.eu/d/3kKoXJ4).

This light is bright, easy to install and the remote solar panel makes it suitable for places that don’t get enough sun for a normal solar light to work. It’s a shame that the PIR sensor can’t be rotated independently so I’m knocking off a star because of this.

I purchased two of these to light up a dark access area, particularly during the darker winter evenings. They are currently working very well, bright, sensitive to movement and able to charge up properly during the longer summer days. I hope they continue to work as well over the winter months.

These provide great lighting for our garden. We already have small light units on our fence posts but the light output is nowhere near as good as these larger units. Even together, two of those smaller units can’t match the brightness of one of these. We have some other similar sized units to this one and they are actually a little brighter so these aren’t the best but they’re pretty good. The motion sensor and modes work exactly as intended so no issues there. I do wish the controls were in a readily accessible location but it’s unlikely to be something that you need to change often.

Got these to install in our small back garden that’s about 20ft by 16ft and they do a pretty decent job of lighting up the area.
We could maybe do with another two and I’d say that would be just enough to light up the whole area.
We have opted for the constant dim light which then goes to full brightness once it detects motion and find in with the UK weather they can last well until early morning depending obviously on how sunny the day has been.
Maybe when the mo this start getting darker we will chantto the off mode that only comes on with motion to save power.
Having these options is a big plus on solar lights.
Installation is easy with just two screws into out fence panels but you could install them on an outside wall with the included wall plugs and screw’s.
Overall very pleased with these up to now and recommend them.

The main entrance from our parking area to the door is through our garden, which is terraced and has lots of steps. This means lights are essential. We’ve experimented with a few and this one is one of the best.

It sits unobtrusively secured by a nail on the fence, the motion sensor picks up us passing by but not the hedgehogs or our neighbour’s cat and the light is bright and casts downwards onto the path.

We will be getting more, can’t say higher than that!

I have put these on either side of my garage door. They were really straightforward to install. The motion sensor is very responsive (better than other solar lights I have owned in the past that took a while to detect movement). The lights are brighter than anticipated, and the solar panels seem to get a very good charge even on overcast days. They seem very weather-resistant, as I have had them up now for nearly 3 weeks, and we have had all kinds of weather, rain, gales, hail, and the occasional sunny day. At 24.99 for the pair (at the time of review in April 2022) they are of exceptional value. I can therefore highly recommend them to you.

These solar lights are a good size and easy to use. They are very handy to have in my back garden as they have motion sensors. The motion sensors work quite well and aren’t too sensitive as to be activated by every gust of wind etc.
They can be fixed to any wall or fence which is very easy to do and they have only a couple of settings to work out too.
The only downside to these is that the price seems quite high for two compared to other similar lights I’ve had before, but these are very good quality.
I hope you find this review helpful.

This set of ultra bright LED solar garden/wall lights is, I am happy to report, really rather good. They come supplied as a twin pack and at time of review are priced at 24.99 for the pair.

The lights come equipped with high efficiency LED lighting panels that cast a surprisingly decent amount of light out for their relatively small size. Each light has a triangular type design whereby the rear of the unit will sit flush to a wall whilst the two other sides jut out at opposing angles. The upper segment is slightly angled upwards in order to soak up the maximum amount of light during the day whilst the lower half of the light is angled downward to cast that stored energy back out again as light in the evening and at night. It’s a simple, tried and tested design that works and works well.

I have personally installed my lighting on the exterior of my house down a side alley. I am lucky enough to live in a semi detached and that the alleyway is exposed to the sun for pretty much most of the day. It means these bad boys get loads of light exposure and therefore work very well indeed. You can install your lights pretty much anywhere you like, as long as you have both a flat surface to attach them to and they are positioned in such a way as to ensure they see a fair amount of sunlight to be able to adequately charge them. Ideally you would want them fully exposed for as long as possible for them to be able to operate at their peak performance.

Each light appears to be very well put together and have been clearly constructed using good quality ABS plastics. They feel highly durable, super robust and hard wearing, and I have a huge amount of confidence they will last for some significant time given they are meant to be left outside and exposed to the elements all year around. They have been rated IP65 waterproof and after a good heavy downpour recently I am pleased to say I couldn’t find any leaks, issues or any negative points otherwise.

The lights each contain an in-built 2000mAh lithium rechargeable battery and the solar panel that charges these power cells runs practicality the whole length and breadth of the upper third section of the lamp. They will literally run all night long without dropping out the power. You do have a couple of different operating modes to choose from too which include an automatic on/off option, a dim light mode and a motion sensitive only mode.

The first auto mode is my personal preference here as the light will come on as soon as it gets to dusk and then power back off again at first light. For my install this works perfectly as it illuminates my alley for the whole duration of the evening, throughout the night and only powers off again at first light. The dim light mode operates in a similar fashion to the above however the lamp will only illuminate at half brightness. However, when motion is detected it switches itself to full power and lights up everything in its radius. Speaking of which, this light casts out its light in a 280 degree arc. In this dim light mode the brighter light lasts for only for approximately 20 seconds or so before it dims back down again. That’s assuming of course that no further motion is detected. The third mode of operation is purely as a motion detector. The lights stay powered off at all time unless something, or somebody, passes the detector panels field of view at which point the light will come on at full intensity for around 20 seconds. Each mode has its own merits so it’s down to you how you wish to use yours.

The motion sensors inside these beauties seem to be pretty good and reactionary and have roughly somewhere around a 120 degree field of view. They also pick up movement up to about 20- 25 feet away maximum from my testing. Bear that in mind when installing yours to ensure you are covering the right space, particularly if you plan on using these predominantly as motion detector lights. The lights pump out a respectable 6500 lumens each and the manufacturers are clearly confident in their product and offer a full 24-month warranty. I would be very surprised if they were to get many returns based on my experience with these so far.

Overall these are very well made indeed and I feel they represent superb value for your money. I will in all honesty most likely purchase a couple more for the rear garden patio area. I genuinely like these and can’t find fault with them in anyway. There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this set at all and I would be more than happy to recommend this product to anyone. If I could award a sixth star here I really would. Simply brilliant!

I was looking for an outside light and I liked the look of this pack of two sensor solar lights from Otmos. Although they’re plastic they don’t look cheap and they are surprisingly compact, measuring approximately 17.5cm wide, 11cm tall and 5.5cm deep.

There are three lighting modes to choose from and they’re easily changed by pressing a silicone button on the back. So, you can either have the light on bright from dusk til dawn, on dim from dusk til dawn and becomes brighter when motion is detected, or light off until motion is detected.

Instructions and wall fixings are included in the box. It’s not fixed to the wall yet but I’ve tested the light and was impressed by how bright it is. This double pack is great value for money priced at 24.29 (at the time of review), especially when the lights will cost nothing to run. Highly recommended.

    Buen producto

There are 2 outdoor solar lights in the box and there is no need to pull wires or charge to install them, just fix configured screws on the wall, which is simple and fast.

This solar light is very light and the dot in the middle is the human body sensor. On top is a single crystal solar panel that stores electricity. It has a total of 236 mini LED bulbs inside, which are distributed into three surfaces to emit light, which means that it can illuminate a 280 degrees lighting angle.

It has three intelligent modes; medium light mode, dim light sensor mode, sensor lights mode. These modes are really great, you can set any mode. It will automatically turn on when night comes, and it will automatically turn off at dawn. Because the solar energy has a built in 2000mAh battery, it will automatically enter the charging state after turning off the night. In addition, there is IP65 waterproof design to ensure norma use in harsh environments. Anyway, I like this solar sensor light.

For solar lights, these are fantastic. Look good and work exactly as you’d expect. I currently have them on the third setting so they are off until triggered by motion. They are bright enough to light up a medium sized garden, we have 2 of them on the back of the house and they work perfectly.

These lights were delivered quickly and in good quality packaging. They are solar-powered, so all you have to do is put them where you want and leave them to charge via sunlight. They charge during the day and stay on all night which is really good.

They are easy to install and are high quality, not flimsy or anything like that. They are durable and waterproof which is good. They have a motion sensor so every time someone or something gets close they will turn on, and they are really bright which is great.

Good value for money and I recommend them.

These solar lights are well made, and look pretty average.
    There are 3 modes:
    1. Medium all the time
    2. Dim, then on with motion sensor
    3. Off, then on with motion sensor

Personally, I used mode 3 (always my favourite with these lights), so it’s off until something goes past it, in which case it comes on bright like a security light. Talking of which, it’s fairly bright, I’d say something in the region of about 500 lumens wouldn’t seem wrong. (about 50W eq bulb).
Note though the light is a daylight white, rather than a warm white, so factor that in if it bothers you.

At arounf 22 at time of review for two of these, I feel you’re getting good value for a good product.

These LED flood lights are well made, with decent quality plastics used. They kick out an impressive amount of light for their size, especially as they’re solar powered too. There’s a PIR in the middle to detect movement that’s very effective, allowing the light to either increase in brightness or turn on when triggered.

The only issue I have had with these lights is that the holes to put the screws through are a little too large for the screws supplied, so you have to be careful when tightening them. It’s not a major issue as long as care is taken during install.

Otherwise these lights have performed flawlessly to date and I’m very happy with them. Recommended.

    Very bright for their size

Great outdoor lights for that price.
Works well and easy to install them to wall.
Very bright lights and good motion detection.
Worth to buy them. They surely will last for long.
    Recommending.

For relatively small units, these throw out a lot of light. The real beauty of them is that they’re a doddle to set up; just chose a location that gets sun, and screw them into place. You need to chose the light setting first as the switch is at the rear. I want the motion sensor mode, so the light is activated when movement detected and then goes off. I’ve set them up in a corner of the garden not covered by lighting as there’s no mains supply. These pick up any movement and I’m happy that if someone tried to enter the garden undetected, they’d be illuminated not once but twiceI’ve staggered the siting.

They’re well built and the solar panels seem robust. Very competitive in price and I can’t fault them.

I really like these as they are nice and bright.

They fit in so nicely amongst my flower

They are down lighters so can be seen from any angle in the garden.

They are a nice size and very discreet during the day , not big and ugly like most other lights I have seen.

they get throughout the day lasts well into the night as they are running on motion sensors and works every night.

With 236 LEDS they surely all do light up and is pretty bright at night.

These security lights are excellent. They are very easy to instal (and the bits you need are included). All you need to do is fasten them to something by whatever means you think best, or can be bothered with.

The controls are on the back, so you need to set the mode before you put them up, if you’re going to fasten them permanently. We have ours set to bright light for 20 seconds when motion is detected, then off.

The motion sensor works very well – ours detects motion from several metres away, over a wide angle, so you don’t have to be practically on top of it for it to trigger.

The light is quite bright – not as bright as a proper security spotlight, but more than bright enough to see where you’re going and what is going on in the area. It is bright enough to read by provided you keep moving to trigger the sensor! Therefore, more than bright enough for most purposes for which normal people would want it.

You can get smaller, dimmer versions that look like this, but these are better.

Recommended – you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent motion sensor, usefully bright ligh

Two larger style motion sensor lights, that can be screwed to a brick wall, wooden fence, or shed etc.
The lights are made from a very lightweight plastic and come switched off, there is is an on/off switch at the back of the light, and pressing it will select 3 modes, plus off, so select the mode you want before screwing it to a wall or fence.
Mode 1- the light is always on, the light will come on at night and stay on all night, depending on battery charge, with or without movement detected. Mode 2- the light comes on dim at night, and gets brighter when it detects movement. Mode 3- the light turns on at night brightly, when it detects movement, and will then switch off again when no movement detected. It would have been better to put the switch in a more accessible place, in case you wish to change the mode, because the switch is hidden in the back of the light, you will first have to remove it, which could be a pain, if you have located it very high up.
Before selecting a location for the light, obviously you need to make sure the place you want to locate them, gets the maximum amount of sunlight to recharge the batteries. They have dusk till dawn sensors in them, so will only come on at night, So make sure you position them away from other lighting, otherwise they may not come on at night, if the photo sensor picks up a stray light.
Now of course, during the winter months, it might not be possible to get sufficient sunlight to recharge the batteries, due to the lack of sun, so you may not get enough charge to light them for the whole night.
The instruction booklet is easy to follow and explains everything clearly.
At the moment I’m happy with them and have fitted many types around my house and other family members, I am happy to recommend them.

These are very smart lights, easy to fit wooden fence or decking and the PIR sensors are very good indeed with no false alarms so far and work perfectly every time somebody walks up my path, build quality seems good and they are fine in the rain no issues there, they have 3 lighting modes my favourite is mode two, the light stays dimly lit but when the motion sensor is activated it turns on bright, you can also have it just on at dust and off at dawn and also light off and just turns on when motion detected, all in all, really smart lights and good value for money.

I’ve got a few other solar powered security lights like this in my garden so I know how good they are.
These are just as good if not slightly better.
These are slightly bigger than my other lights with more led light chips which in turn sheds more light so they are brighter.
The solar panel is also better quality on these lights and look good quality.
They look very similar and will be a great addition to the garden without the design being much different to my other ones.
They function in the same way which is they have 3 functions which when you press the mode button at the back of the unit selects through each function.
Function 1 = lights will come on at dusk and stay on with medium brightness until day break.
    Motion sensor disabled.

Function 2 = lights will come on at dusk in dull brightness and when the motion sensor senses movement the light will light up to maximum brightness then go back to dull (after 20 seconds of non movement) lighting when movement stops. Again these will turn off completely at day break.

Function 3 = lights will stay off at dusk and when motion is sensed the light will illuminate to maximum brightness then switch off after 20 seconds providing no more movement is sensed. If ongoing movement is sensed the lights will continue in maximum brightness.
This mode is probably better for conserving energy yet still providing great security lighting.

During the day light hours the solar panel then charges up the built in battery, provided that the lights are placed in good positions to capture good sunlight. Placing these in shady areas wont allow them to charge up properly so make sure your chosen spot receives good sunlight.

The motion sensor is activated by any movement by the way. So if you have washing on a line for example and it’s windy enough to cause the washing to move then this will activate the lights (if they’re set in motion sense modes that is)
This is a reason why I’ve deducted 1 star as well as placement of the mode button which is at the back of the light…. It’s much easier to turn these on and off and select the modes with a button at the front like my other lights, with this design you’d have to remove the light to alter the function or turn off (you may occasionally need to turn them off to allow the battery a chance to charge up fully if they’re not providing sufficient hours of light due to tree movement, washing on the line and other movement being sensed during the night and the following day is dull and overcast and charge time is slower)
The lights do however charge very well on a sunny day even when it’s cold.
The lights are frost & heat resistant and they are water proof so they’re fine all year round outside.
These are good security lights and as they use the sun light to charge them you’re also reducing your carbon footprint replacing your mains powered lighting and reducing your energy bill without compromising on lighting at night 🙂
They come with screws and wall plugs for attaching anywhere you like.
Price wise….. I’d say they’re a tad expensive at just under 24 for a pack of 2 (at time of review) but they are a nice size and illuminate a decent area and will save you money if you’re currently using mains powered security lighting and want to use solar power instead which ultimately is also better for the environment 🙂
    Good quality security lights 🙂

    Excellent solar powered security lighting

These lights are easy to install, require no power source and when triggered give out a bright white light which floods the area.
The lights need as much sun as possible to get the best results, but that is the only consideration you need to give them.
I have put these on my wooden fence, they light up when the dog goes up in that area late in the evening and I can keep an eye on him, obviously they will also pick up any unwanted visitors too.
The sensor is really good, it’s a semi circle of sensors and so triggers the light from any direction.

These are so easy to install and operate. I cheated and attached mine, for now on an outside pipe with cable ties. No bodge-job is too big for me. Bright enough for illuminating the dark side of the shed. Once any movement is no longer detected the light goes off.
    No batteries required.
And they even work in Wales!

I already have similar solar security lights around my house and can say they are really good, these are no different pretty much fit and forget, I set the mode to come on when movement is detected and go out after, of course the local cat and our urban fox set them off along with movement of tree branches depending on where you have them fitted but it not costing me money in electricity so I don’t care.
These lights are a good size and can be screwed to a wall fence or what ever you want to fit them too, the only downside is they do need to be placed in an area that gets plenty of sunlight to get full effect so not that good for dark walk ways down the side of the house or under trees but everywhere else no problem.

very impressive. during these sun limited months, i was not sure it would charge much but even in cloudy conditions it charges really well and it’s very bright. the sensitivity and the brightness can be adjusted with little dials on the bottom. it also comes with all the screws and plugs that you need for simple installation.
