It is much easier to use and adjust than the conventional mixer, and the seller is superb, I had an issue with cartage, he sent me a complete kit with the required tools
Easy to fit and no leaks. I note that some people have reported failures after a few months, so will have to wait and see. Not expensive, so hoping for the best. No complaints for now .
I bought this to replace an electric shower.
The water flow is so much better. I keep the temperature for the shower around the same so I only need to set it once. One side to turn on the water and the other side to adjust the temperature. I can jump in the shower and not worry about adjusting the heat. Turning another tap on in the house will not change its temperature setting, just the flow. It’s so easy to use. Highly recommended.
In April 2022 I ordered 2 pairs of Solepearl mixer taps. For years whenever anyone in the house had a shower using our old tap mixers they risked getting scalded or frozen if anyone else used water anywhere else in the house, and it was the cause of many a row if that happened.)
The new taps were everything I wished for and more. they are particularly great because dimples in the knobs allow easy turning of the tap with soapy fingers and the clear markings on them make it great for people who have vision issues ( or even simply glasses wearers who have to remove them in the shower – like me! ) to see temperature settings and on/off positions.
However, a couple of months ago one of the taps started to give trouble, and I thought this is where you find out how good a company really is. But I needn’t have worried. They were brilliant. They immediately sent a replacement barrel with details and a video of how to replace it. I fitted it myself in minutes with absolutely no bother.
BRILLIANT, FIRST CLASS, HEARTILY RECOMMEND THEM.

Great taps, great safety, great price, great service. Top seller … thank you.
For the price you cannot go wrong the quality is good gives a lot of pressure and Warter and the temperature is very good installation is very simple
Applied this to my bath lost all water pressure to the bathroom can’t even run a bath
The product is fantastic the seller gas good sense of humour to sell a great product uts very good for control on equal hot water so no worries that several hands makes up down and damages the handle washer. Thus one is better thanks for the seller by selling the product like more than branded one . Who ever wants to buy don’t go on brand this is very smooth and easy to operate and fix too no need plumber. Once again three cheers for the seller God bless you and your family and work always.
I am really impressed with the quality of manufacturing, finish and smooth operation. I bought this as a lower cost alternative to the usual brands I would buy because it is intended only as a temporary solution due to the existing unit failing a few weeks before a bathroom refit is scheduled. It’s way better than its price point would suggest.
Very easy to install brought mine in 2020 working fine until a few days ago it has a 5 year warranty so got in touch will seller excellent service from them new part sent just a few minutes to install shower back to normal would recommend and use agai
Purchased this product for replacement of my existing manual tap mixer. It arrived on time and got it installed with little bit of effort. It is working fine and temperature control is good. I recommend this product.
Great…Best thing I’ve brought. No more water freezing me or burning me…stays at the same temperature, a joy to take a shower not dread it,got it installed by a plumber, but works out cheaper than a full shower…..x
This is an excellent product speedily delivered next day for free by Amazon. Well packaged with everything that you need in the box. Simple to fit (particularly if you are replacing a similar style valve) and chose to use the original pillars. It works works well. About half the price of similar style valves that appear on the internet.
Installed in July 22 and stopped working in Dec 22. The flow valve stopped working. Amazon refunded me the cost so I could purchase a replacement. Unfortunately I had to call out a plumber again the replace the faulty mixer at a cost of 60, which Amazon would not refund. Contacted the seller via email and Amazon message and after a few days seller responded. Went out of their way to refund installation cost. Offered to send free replacement but had already replaced the mixer with another. Good customer service, shame the product failed so soon….
Moved into a property in April which had an electric shower with poor flow / pressure and quickly noticed how expensive it was to use when there is 5 of us using it every day. I purchased this shower tap primarily to save money. Using a mixer tap shower like this fed from a Combi boiler is 1/3 cheaper than using an electric shower. I am a plumber and fitted the tap myself and it has made a massive difference. The pressure is at least twice as powerful and mains fed. If you are looking to save money get rid of your electric shower and get one of these.
I had to buy a new 1.5m hose but used Tnt existing shower head from the electric shower.
I normally buy Grohe for most of my bathroom fittings but I wanted this to match some existing plumbing and the Grohe options weren’t going to do the job. The difference in quality and robustness is evident so I’m not a convert to cheaper fittings (and this is about half the price of an equivalent Grohe product) but it also fine and does the job adequately
This is a great thermostatic shower bath tap, and at a very good price. I’ve only given it a 4 star rating because the washers that seal the tap to the bath are to small, they fall through the holes in the bath, the washers should be the same size as the tap base to form a water tight seal… I had to use silicone to stop any water egress.
eplaced old mixer valve with this new solepearl mixer. hot showers once more.
I have installed many of these great when customers don’t want a lot of expense water controlled especially with having childre
Generally pleased with this unit – temperature and flow controls work well and it looks good.
Only gripe is that the hot water coupling on the left where the riser meets the mixer tap suffered from a slight weep through the thread and took me several attempts to fix it, needing a substantial amount of PTFE tape (I was suspicious when I found a roll was included with the tap). Either the mating faces are flawed or not parallel, or the rubber seal/filter is imperfect. Fingers crossed it’s now ok.
OK, so we purchased this because we wanted to get rid of a electric shower ( too expensive to run ).
Now the BUT, if you are wanting to connect this from your water feed then obviously new piping needed. The issue we came across was once the new pipes were fitted and came out from the wall there was no way we could fix a plate from behind the wall to hold the shower bar securely. Had to put thinking cap on. This does not come with any fixing plate ( fine if you already have this set up & just want a replacement bar but if like us it was a complete new system then you will have to fix a external fixing plate to hold the shower bar securely. We didn’t want to have to make huge holes in the tiled wall to fix a back plate.
Happy now the issue has been overcome.
Replaced an old one this does the job and the water pressure better for the function of filling the bath
Easy to install in place of old tap that no longer worked. Great and worth the money.
This shower mixer and tap for the bath is perfect and was easy to install. My kids are able to set their own shower/bath temperature now and I have no worries that there is a risk of scalding.
I bought this product three years ago from SCCOT on amazon and it recently developed a drip. SCCOT sent a replacement valve free of charge which was easy to fit and stopped the dripping. The aftersales care was excellent. I would recommend this product and the seller very highly
Taps are perfect match to the ones we were replacing, we had some issue with the temperature controls but seller communication has been brilliant, sufficient and fast.
Very good and easy to install would recommend to friends.
This appliance is easy to fit, very good quality and finally works as it should. Excellent purchase.
Very good as they say it does what it says on the “tin”
This was a like-for-like replacement of a five-year old mixer (from another supplier), so, only a five-minute job to fit. This one has numerical values for the temperature so better than grade markings.
What I wanted was a tap/shower unit, but almost all that I looked at were individually controlled taps ie you had to find the temperature balance yourself, quite an awkward thing to achieve whilst trying to shower. Id also seen shower bars but these didn’t fill up your bath. Well this unit does both. It will fill up your bath at a controlled temperature and then with a pull of a lever you are showering at the same temperature. Brilliant just like you find in hotels.
At the moment works well let see in a year or so
Bought to replace electric shower to save energy cost. Fitted a couple of weeks ago and really pleased, better pressure and easy to use with plenty of temperature adjustme
I’d already bought the shower bar version of this product and it has been functioning fine since May 2020, we live in a hard water area and have the benefit of high mains water pressure and a new combi – so flow rates and pressures are not an issue.
The difficulties encountered with this unit are largely due to the fact that the manufacturers have made some (potentially bad) assumptions about how large the holes in your bath are going to be and what sort of connectors you’re going to try to mount it on.
If like me you discover that some muppet has drilled 1 1/2 inch holes to accept 3/4 inch tails or that the tap connectors are the ‘old fashioned’ copper type rather than the flexible hose type then the installation will probably involve acquiring (or scavenging from your old taps) larger washers and tail nuts with bigger flanges, and flexible tap connectors.
In my case these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07ZJWL2TF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and these
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0039823WS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
did the trick.
The tails are required because the tolerance on the tails supplied does not reliably allow the copper pipe in the old style connector to slide inside the tails – internal diameter is just a touch too small. The washers supplied are similarly a little too wimpy all round and although the mesh insert is a good idea on the head connector washers in practice I found in our area (high water pressure) tightening the head nuts up to get it watertight meant that the washers were compromised against the mesh and leaked.
Anyone who tells you refitting a bath tap is a piece of cake has obviously either never attempted it or has only fitted to freestanding baths fitted by people with the correct hole saw that you can walk around – in our bathroom just getting to the tails is an exercise only a contortionist would be comfortable with.
I am now an expert in using a basin wrench one handed viewed via a mirror at full arm stretch by torchlight. Not a skillset I hope to be using a lot.
Apologies if I’m using the incorrect technical term for any of the above….
Bought it in a hurry after the temperature control on our previous one stuck at v.hot. wasn’t expecting much as is clearly a budget item with big name brands costing 5-10x the price. So far have been very pleased, easy to install as was direct replacement due to standard fixing and 15cm pipe separation etc. Works as advertised.
Only caveat is that out of the box it’s clearly intended for a pressurised system rather than low pressure gravity fed. Resolved this by removing the flow reduction mesh off each inlet. If left in then probably going to be very disappointed by flow rate in a gravity fed system.
Comes with a pair of dog leg adapters which I’m guessing is to adapt to imperial pipes as apart from allowing for pipe separation the two ends are different bores and threads.
If I’d paid premium price for it I’d have probably said 3 stars but as it stands I’d give it 5. At the price no big deal if it only lasts a few years.
Bought to replace a siezed mixer that was in the house we moved into. Very easy to fit and lined up perfectly with the existing pipe work. Very good temperature control which was especially good these last weeks. Very well made, quality thermostatic mixer shower and well priced too.
This is a relatively easy replacement to fit, but it did need a few wraps if plumbers tape on the inlets to stop leaking.
The controls are smooth an effective and the unit seems more than solid enough for the job
A very good, cost effective replaceme
Taps operate smoothly with a definite feel to them. Shower / tap selection much better than old.
Temp control works well too.
Asked a plumber what I needed, recommended this, and very easy to fit! Works a treat in my carava
Saves a lot of time not having to reset temperature controls every time you want to shower.
The item arrived in a well packaged box and on opening was found to be complete with all necessary items for installation, including instructions. It was obvious that the unit was of good heavy quality, and I found it particularly easy to fit. It has worked very well since installation in 2021. Regrettably visiting guest turned the control thermostat with far to much force in May 2022, breaking the over-ride temperature control button. On contacting the Vendor, they were extremely helpful and supplied FOC a completely new thermostatic cartridge with controls. Again this was easy to fit. I can recommend this Vendor very highly for quality of product and great after sales service.
So easy to install it took 5 minutes maximum but do admit existing fittings were compatible!Temperature is perfect for adults set at around 50 but can get much hotter and I mean real hot!!!so tell the kids to leave at around 40-45 for them but that’s just friendly advice do as you please:-)Great product and great value for money just buy the bloody thing!
My tap started leaking badly around 9 PM (when all the stores were closed). Found this in Amazon and it was delivered by 10AM.
Easy to install, cheap and works very well (temp control, flow etc. as good as the ones 4 times the price)
With the energy prices sky rocketing swapped to this from a electric shower as a showers costs around 40 pence on the electric but only around 15 to 20 pence with this set up. But be warned we do have good water pressure
This was for a bathroom tap replacement. For decades, the use of water in other parts of the house caused an unwelcome dose of cold water (and very occassionally a scald) on the occupant of the shower. This device prevents that problem perfectly. A qualified plumber installed it in about 30 minutes and the result is perfection. Incredible value. The “walk up and buy” price in shops is 4 or 5 times the purchase price I paid.
Down side; absolutely no instructions,
Up side; though it was very easy to fit and works as it should
I am a plumber, fitted these for a customer, seem decent, can’t comment on longevity yet, hopefully will last a good while
The temperature control tap started to get stuck after a few months; unfortunately I wasn’t told so I couldn’t take action. It’s now 2 years later and the temperature control tap doesn’t work at all anymore and the tap needs to be replaced. I don’t know if it would be possible to change only the valve, but it would require a double visit from the plumber, making it cheaper to just replace it. Buying this tap was a false economy, now it’s going to cost twice as much. Obviously do not recommend.
Works well, east to fit, keeps temperature stable, saves all that fiddling with 2 taps to get the right temperature. Good flow to the bath. Selector is a bit vague in use causing occasional dripping etc from the other flow, but when it works, almost every time, it’s fine.
Disappointed the Ad for this item clearly shows shower flex attached, the seller should state that this bath mixer shower tap requires the hose, spray head & wall fixing purchasing in addition to tap, picture clearly shows hose attached
[Edit June 2022]. The Seller Sccot728 has reached out to me informing me that he wishes to make amends to seek a mutually beneficial outcome. He has communicated the fault to the Manufacturer (believed due to possible clogging) to improve the quality of the product. On the basis of the seller seeking to redress the situation I have amended the star rating, though obviously, feel it only fair to leave the original comments intact for continuity. JB 17/6/22
Was easy to fit. You have to fit the two plastic water filters into the ends of the chrome uprights before they enter the main chrome body otherwise you won’t get a tight connection to the tap unit. The unit works fine and keeps the temperature steady. However, this Is not suitable for hot water gravity systems using a header tank in the loft I.e 0.2 bar as the water won’t flow quick enough to heat up the cylinder spring inside to open the valve. It is Meant for 1.5 bar water pressured combi-boiler systems. It Has the usual red button safety release for when you want boiling water. The plastic flow tap on mine was a little loose. Probably needs the cosmetic end cover removing and the screw tightening, but as it doesn’t come off easily, I will leave it.
EDIT (4 months later). The item is broke. Initially the temperature became stuck beyond the red button and despite turning up the cold flow to maximum, both the cold and hot water are a mere trickle now. Applying pressure and it was obvious the spring inside had jammed and the valve is only able to let a trickle out now. So, obviously its a bin job. I expected it to last longer than 4 months. Shame. I’ll have to spend next weekend fitting a new set of taps. Waste of time. Thanks Amazon.
I’m really pleased with the Shower mixer. Temperature control works great. “Set it and forget it”.
The mixer was nicely packaged and arrived with no damage.
It was easy to install.
The only small issue that we had was 1 rubber washer that started to leak after couple of months. (Maybe it was a bad batch or something)
The seller was very helpful and sent me a replacement straight away.
I’m really happy with the customer service. Sometimes it’s more important than the product itself.
If I could suggest anything I’d say those washers could be made a bit more rigid.
You can also ask your plumber to install extra 3/4″ thin washer between the pillar posts and the mixer to make it “bullet proof”.
All in all the product is great especially at this price!
It looks nice, it work great and it’s half the price of some other options out there.
I’d definitely buy again! When I have another bathroom..
Thanks.
I wanted a mixer tap that would maintain the temperature. I fitted it in minutes and once I set the hot water temperature to an acceptable level (looked on YouTube) it was done. No complaints from the family about it going too hot or too cold.
Just an add on to my original review. Over the last couple of months we have noticed that the temperature of the mixer has got colder even though the temperature setting is on 50 degrees. It feels more like 20 to 25. I have tried to find contact details for Solepearl to see if they could shed some light on the issue as nothing has changed in the set up of the mixer tap, pipework or boiler. Unfortunately there seems to be no way of contacting them and I am well past the return deadline with Amazon. So it looks like I will have to buy another unit and this time will shop locally so I can at least speak to someone if there’s any issues in the future.
The unit itself is fairly heavy and seems to be well made. As I was replacing nigh on like for like (different make) it was a case of turn off the water, loosen the retaining nuts, remove old. Fit the rubber washers (filters) to new, put in place and tighten the nuts. Turn water back on and check for leaks. Took at most -10 mins. If the tails are old it might be a good idea to replace them but on some baths that can be a job and a half depending on where the incoming pipes are located..
Temperature control is ok. On the red (safety) button, slightly cooler than the last one. But ramp the temperature up and it works fine with good temperature control. Easy to turn on and off too.
As the old unit was standard size and fit, this new one was easy to fit. No more than 15 mins.
A good price, and a nice clean looking simple unit.
I do think the 12 year old unit had twice the water flow though.
With cold turned fully on and a nice warm temperature, when having the showerhead on the floor, the old unit would spay upwards 7 feet. The new one reaches half of that. Very rough time measurment to fill a litre jug and it is the stated flow rate.
And that is using the same showerhead to compare.
Having a lock on temperate at 38 but allowing to go hotter still is a geat idea, but we never even get to a warm setting of 30 when showering though.
At perhaps 1/4 the price of the old one, I hope to see it last 3-4 years.
Great next day delivery too … thanks to Amazon delivery.
I’ve bought two of these now and both came with the same fault which is easy to remedy if you have a large alan key, a leverage bar and you are aware the thread is left handed. Basically there is a white plastic washer on the wrong side of the nuts which tighten to the risers. You need to undo each with the big alan key (i don’t know the size) and a leverage bar (don’t attempt without). A sharp nudge and a few turns and it comes out of the tap, put the washer on the other side (between the alan key bolt with o-rings on it and the nut) and screw it back in. Without this its metal to metal and will most likely leak? I did not try it as it came because i spotted the white washers doing nothing.
Pinch it up with the leverage bar and you are done.
I thought the first one wrong must have been a rare error but then the second came like it, hence this feedback.
The controller was a direct fit from the previous unit (different brand) which developed a leak. Very easy to install, if replacing an existing unit. This unit does come with the offset extension spouts and covers (shown in competing adverts) in case these are required during install. Remember to use / purchase Teflon sealing tape for the pipe threads prior to fitting.
Despite a picture in the advert showing the distance between the inlet pipes as 14cm, the centres are in fact 15cm apart as other purchasers had indicated (Otherwise I would have returned due to misleading descriptions). And despite other pictures showing different products, I can confirm that the hot inlet pipe is to the left (with flow control valve), cold on the right (with temperature control valve) and the outlet is in the bottom of the unit.
Only just started to use the controller, so temperature stability has yet to be determined under various condition. OK so far. Provided four stars for temperature control as I am not expecting this unit to work the same as the 150.00+ controller it replaces.
The primary reason for the four star overall rating is that I requested and paid for next day delivery, but due to a mix up in transportation, the unit was not delivered until the day following the expected delivery date.
