The sound profile for the types of Music I listen is very good.
But for Audiobooks and Films where there are moments of silence or low volume the is some white noise (hissing).
For calls it’s a bit disorientating for me as it’s in ear unlike a dedicated headset for calls only, that sits outside of the ear.
Both of these are no fault of the earphones as they are primarily designed for Music.
So to sum up if main use is Music they are amazing.
Upgraded from SoundPEATS TrueFree Plus which I thought were excellent, however the sound on the Soundcore blew me away. Your ears may take a few hours to adjust to all the frequencies they provide but once they do you’ll hear music and songs your used to like you’ve never heard them before. The clarity in these things are amazing. With the partner EQ app you can tailor the sound to your liking as nobodys ears hear things the same. I used the largest earbud tips but left the default wings on and they fit my ears like a glove. They don’t fall out when moving around and even when I shake my head they stay intact. The case is small and has a lovely matt finish to them and the earbuds themselves are of very high build quality. Because they fit my ears so well they block outside noise very well. The most amazing thing is I got these in the sale for nearly half price. Highly recommended.
Noise cancellation is great during calls but nonexistent when using apps like WhatsApp. Steady in ear, sound really good, minor issues when not using both in same time but overall I am pleased with purchase
I have experienced none of the white noise issues evident in some reviews of these buds but my ears probably don’t hear all the frequencies of younger ears and I have updated the firmware.
An easy process when connecting to the app.
I had a pair of Anka A2 ANC buds before opening these which were amazing (and I will be buying another pair) but the sound quality though really good read not as good as these.
These allow more noise through as they are not ANC, only passive so of you use your buds on most environments like the gym, you may want to go for ANC instead.
I believe the latest version has ANC.
Despite people mentioning the size of these, they are extremely comfortable to wear, more so the A2 ANC buds and for obvious reasons the battery life is also far better than ANC buds as there is no noise cancelling to process.
So for your everyday working set of buds that give excellent sound reproduction, get these which can be found for bargain prices now they are superceded by a newer model.
You will not have to be constantly recharging them either.
They are an underated company. The sound is good. The hiss is there however they have improved on this on newer models. The biggest thing for me is a better way of upping the volume or lowering the volume. However you can also remap the buttons for different functions. 8hours playtime per charge is good.
Although you may see many reviews talking about a constant white noise in the background it isn’t as bad as described and is only audible when above 70% volume and even at that point you can easily tune it out
Besides the white noise the sound quality is excellent and the HearID Feature is a really good way to get ballanced sound in both ears although this is only available with the soundcore app
There is no active noise cancellation on these earphones from what i can see in the manual and the soundcore app although if you pick the correct earbud size the noise isolation is great
These earphones can be very uncomfortable if you use wingtips that are too large however if you use the correct size you will hardly feel them and its near impossible for them to fall out from normal use
Use these at the gym and they work well to cancel out the in-house gym music.
Only thing I found and it was probably my fault was to make sure you sync the buds with your phone every time you use them to make sure both sides respond
These wireless earphone have great sound quality and noise cancellation. These are much better than the previous pair of apple airpods that I had and come with a good selection of ear tips so you can get the perfect fit. I have bought two sets now one for my wife and one for myself and have recommended them to other friends and family. These also come with an app for android and apple that you can use called soundcore where you can set up the earphone to your personal preference and they also have wireless charging. They have around 32 hours of charge in them before you have to recharge the earphones and case. They would make an ideal Christmas or birthday present for someone.
These true wireless earbuds are great, they charge quickly and it lasts ages. The Bluetooth connection is fast and I’ve not had it drop yet. The controls on the buds are simple but can do everything you need, you can change some of them in the app. There isn’t active noise cancellation but the passive noise blocking is very good especially once you’ve got the right fit for your ear, they come with a range of sizes for the in-ear and support. Finally the sounds quality, you can customise the sound using their app and ‘HearID’ and I can’t recommend it enough, it tests your hearing in both ears and then sets up the best sound balance for you. Overall amazing bit of kit.
First of all, one of the star rating categories was “Noise Cancellation”. These are NOT noise cancelling earphones.
However the noise isolation just from wearing them is exceptional. I didn’t have to change the wing fitting or the silicone ear tips out of the box, but you are provided with a lot options 7 ear tips (incl. the installed) and two other wing options. I don’t think any other manufacturers offer that much fitment customisability.
But let’s start at the beginning, the unboxing is premium, the logo and literature on the box is a textured transfer, much like when logos are printed directly on to glass bottles.
There’s a lot of stuff about the work that went into the design, the tuning and the components used i.e. The Knowles balanced armature that handles the Mid & High-range frequencies, whilst a more traditional dynamic driver provides clean and strong Bass. Based on the layout of the configuration they claim that the sound of all the frequencies are sent to your ear in tandem with no distortion. The companion App also allows to manually tune your equaliser, use a number of genre specific presets or use a custom preset from one of the 10 award winning sound engineers who helped tune the product. Whether that is true or not I genuinely believe this a great product and worth buying over the updated LDAC version mainly because very few streaming services (Music or visual) use that codec not to mention devices, so it would be a feature wasted on the general consumer. Audiophiles may disagree if they use compatible equipment.
I’ve been using these earphones since Wednesday this week 29th Sept 2021. I’ve blasted music from my phone’s storage, to Google podcasts & Deezer music streaming and they have performed admirably. Whatever your sound preferences, these earphones deliver. Battery life is also great haven’t fully run them down as I don’t wear them all the time.
Had a pair of these for a few weeks now, absolutely love them.
These genuinely are great sounding earphones; I’m particularly impressed by how the high end is reproduced, really bright sounding but never gets fatiguing on the ears
Battery life is fantastic, very comfortable, no volume control (unless I’m missing something?) but that hasn’t bothered me.
Would recommend 10/10
I really like the sound these put out. No hiss/static in the background unlike my Alexa buds. The only negative is they sit quite outboard from the ear and feel like they want to work loose during workouts.
Would be great if they could work on adding ANC to these for the next version without compromising the great sound.
Best sound quality in the market. Puts airpods to shame. I did my research before buying a pair of wireless earbuds and a lot of people recommended this pair for sound quality alone. I can see why now.
Their battery life is very good, you really don’t need much more given how rarely you’ll have to charge them. The case it comes in is super slick, it looks like some alien technology. People around me always take an interest.
The fit in your ears is spectacular. I shook my head around like a madman to test if they’d fall but they stayed right in place. I was super impressed. It’s really intelligently designed to stay in your ears no matter what kind of sports you’re doing.
All in all, if you want a pair of earbuds that are the best among the non-cheap, it’s this.
…but they certainly do. I spent a long time experimenting with the ear pieces and eventually the sound morphed from rather ordinary, even tinny to full and immersive. The fit of these ear pieces is critical to the experience. Persevere! The wings, perhaps to a lesser degree, as they only hold them in place for when you are exercising. Not mission critical for walking to the garage fridges to pour another pint of cider. I’m really impressed with them. I have several devices that rhyme with Hose and this holds its own at a fraction of the price. Highly recommended.
Edit. A few months later and a new iPhone. Getting them to pair has been frustrating to say the least. I’ve followed all the advice, delete, reset, etc but could only get one to pair. As one paired the other disconnected. After 30mins of applying logical alterations, I defaulted to rinse and repeat mode. Eventually I have 3 buds showing in my Bluetooth devices but at least I am getting both outputting in stereo. I was meant to be taking the dog for a walk and this delayed me by an hour and caused me much grief. Soundcore or Anker or whatever you are called. Sort this pairing issue out. It is causing a lot of people to reconsider your brand. You need to do a clean update. Strip out all the unused code and write it clean. Don’t let the accountants tell you otherwise. This needs addressing as a matter of some urgency.
I knew I needed a set of earphones and I wanted to get one that had good call quality and one with a high IPX7 rating. So I saw an unknown brand from Wish that seemed to tick the boxes at about 30. It came eventually. It wouldn’t stay in my left ear even during a walk. It wasn’t waterproof. I tried it in the shower. No direct splash but one ear conked out. Wish gave me a refund and didn’t want it back. Total loss: 0.00.
The search continued on Amazon. I wanted high waterproof IPX numbers and good sound quality from 4 mics (two per earphone). I knew that CVC 8.0 Noise Cancellation was the way to go with 4 mics. I knew that I didn’t want to spend loads and I found another unknown brand in Boltune at 39.99. They sounded good. But after a while, they wouldn’t pair with my iPhone and I tried all the reset tricks possible. Did I mention that I’m really bad at sending things back? Total loss: -39.99.
The search continued on Amazon. I could find nothing with my exacting specs. I still wanted IPX8. I ordered another Boltune. It was good before. No. I couldn’t even pair them! Total loss: -79.98. Yes, I’ve missed my return window. Maybe I can do a warranty claim. But I’m really bad at sending things back.
Right. Time for a known brand. So I compromised on IPX7 but kept the 4-mic CVC8.0 call quality with the Anker Soundcore Life P2 at 35.99. And this 4 mic CVC8.0 combination really does result in great call quality, even when outside the house. Sound quality’s not too bad too. What’s not to like? Well, if I walk briskly, the right earbud hangs on for dear life while the left earbud just falls out. I don’t think I have large ears but I was on the largest of their supplied 3 eartips so there was no other adjustment that I could make. Yes, I’ve still got these. Total loss: -115.97
Because there’s nothing worse than earbuds falling out when walking or exercising. I decided that I needed sports earbuds, because they generally came with ear wings (or fins). I remembered an old pair of Jaybird earphones that came with fins – and they worked really well on my ears. But I wasn’t prepared to sacrifice cvc8.0. I could sacrifice IPX7 or 8 – and just not use them in the rain or the shower. But Jaybirds are expensive – and don’t have CVC8.0.
And so the search eventually led me to the Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro. I’d originally dismissed them because they were expensive. They had CVC8.0 but ‘only’ IPX4, so splashproof at best. I’d solve all my earbud problems if I keep them out of the rain.
The Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro’s are amazing. Great call quality. Deep bass. Which is how I like my music. A choice of 7 tips and three wings and I found my fit – these earbuds are going nowhere, whatever I do. I don’t take them out if I get caught in the rain, but I think I would if it were a downpour. I took the advice of one reviewer and I didn’t do the software update on them. I’m keeping them as they are. They are configurable via an app so if you don’t like deep bass…
These earbuds are so good that I try to find time to take a break and listen to music. Which I never used to do with my previous earbuds – they were just functional.
Earbud nirvana. And I caught them when Amazon were discounting the price. But knowing what I know now, I would have paid full price for these. I should have gotten these from the start.
For the sound quality, they are fantastic. The problem is when they fail to pair. Once this is resolved, they are fantastic
Anker products show a company who still does its own in-house R&D. Year on year their products are at the top of my list. Sound quality and noise cancellation have been superb. Whether its the traffic while out walking or covering the volume of my daughters music or sons xbox gaming (while he screams out his tactical orders to his team at top of his voice), I’m isolated – bliss
I use these earbuds for listening to audio books or music while working out or while on walks outside, as well as for calls and video calls. The sound quality is great and they are very comfortable to wear. Customer service is top notch – I had an issue initially but they sorted it out quickly and efficiently and inquired proactively about my experience. 5 Stars!
First download the app, then update the firmware – That’ll clear the hiss people are talking about.
Next, take time to work out the best tip / wing combo – It took me a week of testing until I got the perfect option.
The sound range on these bad boys (for the 83 I spent) is amazing (I’ve got a pair of Samsung buds and the Soundcore buds are a serious next level up in depth, bass, clarity and brightness).
A, bit fiddly to twist into your ear until you get the hang of it and the case is bigger than the Samsung buds, but these are small things.
At full price I’d still consider it, at a discount grab them!
Anker have never ever dissapointed me from speakers to chargers to full over the ear headphones to these.
These are really good ear phones. The depth & clarity of music is incredible for an in ear speaker & lively driver gives them a big room sound.
The earphones & case feel sturdy and well made, with a soft satin finish.
I have run and danced in these and never once needed to faff with them. The range of ear buds and wing things mean anyone can get a perfect fit.
Only very minor downsides are:
They aren’t very loud. But they dont need to be, you are getting sound quality with these.
(But I do like it loud & listen to music mainly through my phone. So downloaded an volume booster app. Trust me you ears will give up before these do.)
The other downside is I cant get the tap to change track feature to work. But it has two programmable buttons…
Download the SoundCore app as well. You can customise the sound for your ear or they have some good presets.
I cant see how you wont be happy with these. Especially at this price
By far the best audio I’ve had in true wireless headphones so far. My only gripe is the lack of touch controls that other air model has, and generally they can be a bit buggy with the left not connecting at times.
I have been through many earbuds to find the best for runners and these are probably the perfect set. The many additional wings and buds they provide ensure a firm grip that never falls out even if sweaty or rainy. Sound quality is strong, tremble and bass are crisp and balanced. They can also be extremely loud to drown out environmental sound if you wish. Mine do however hurt my ears after about an hour of use but it’s not intolerable and I will take the trade for the insurance they will always stay in. There is no volume control on them however which can make pumping up the sound awkward while running as you have to go for your phone or smart watch. Overall would recommend
Great product! I’ve had mine since late 2019, not long after they came out.
I was interested in the ACA architecture and was enticed by all the features. You’ll be hard pressed to find
something similar at this price point with all these features.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this product. Mine started acting erratically last week, I reported it on a Monday,
on Wednesday I had a replacement. Absolutely ballistic service by Anker UK. That alone is enough reason to spend your money as this company will look after you.
Sound: Do you electronic music? Buy them. You like hip hop? Buy them. DO you enjoy thumpy, low rumbling bass? Buy them! If you’re looking for a flat signature, this isn’t it but it’s such a guilty pleasure to enjoy this warm sound signature! I absolutely stand by these headphones.
They fit my ears a bit awkwardly (this is entirely personal) but the sound signature is totally worth it. Make sure
you have a perfect seal before you judge the sound. There is only passive noise cancellation but it is very effective!
In conclusion, I hope they release a new flagship TWS as I will most certainly buy them.
Cheers Anny
The notes below are based on the default ‘Soundcore Signature’ equalisation however I also used a flat custom eq to confirm the technical performance details.
I kept the medium rather than slightly longer M+ tips. It came with firmware version 1.26 with the option to upgrade to 1.28. Test tracks are in brackets.
The sound signature is well balanced with a satisfying slight bass emphasis. Lows are extended and have good impact, mids are clear and detailed and the treble lively and energetic(recordings of audio on my Amazon profile).
While much more than competent at this level one needs to identify any shortcomings that some listeners may perceive.
While the bass is fully present, well extended and punchy it is not quite as hard hitting as reference so good for non fatiguing extended listening but some might miss some of the raw slam and attack of the cx400bt. Deep bass notes can resonate with a boomy rather than punchy and impactful driving sound (Jump Around). The Liberty Air 2 Pro by comparison has a less resonant bass though does not go so loud and on occasion I had to use max volume when rocking out.
The vocals are well balanced, neither brought forward nor recessed tho not quite at the level of head turning realism of the cx400bt that can bring you tears (A Million Dreams, Oh My Love). In a side by side comparison against the Liberty Air 2 Pro, the Liberty 2 Pro female vocals can sound slightly thinner (lacking body) and more sibilant.
Hiss is not present or at least not noticeable below 14khz – in fact one can sometime hear hiss from the original studio recordings themselves as one track ends and the next begins so if there is hiss it is at a level below which some studios tolerate.
Cymbals do not have quite the texture and realism of the cx400bt (Creep) and the timbre of drum hits is less clear (Fly Me To The Moon).
Dynamics are good but volume changes can be a little compromised by their softer style of bass delivery (Baba O’Riley).
There is some sense of soundstage with sounds appearing to come from beyond one’s ears though the sound is not as 3D as the cx400bt.
There is no touch control (rather it uses a button on each unit) and no single tap – just double and 1s hold (shorter than the Liberty Air 2 Pro which needs a 2s hold).
By default there is no tone indicating that you have pressed for 1s though in my case I have assigned this to volume so one can usually tell fairly quickly.
I found them more fiddly and unnatural to put back in their charging case than my other TWS though one might get used to the action of orienting them to get them in.
Pictured with other TWS for size comparison.
I am very happy with the fit and sound. I find that I am being more immersed in the music hearing it seams every instrument being played. One problem I have found is with connecting to a windows 10 all my games but one has no problem with sound but destiny 2 does not play sound if the Soundcore liberty 2 Pro-L device drive is active even is it is not being used and I am using Souncore liberty 2 Pro device drive. It is an easy fix to disable the Soundcore liberty 2 Pro-L device drive everything works and I am immersed in the sound.
Great headphones, sound great with plenty of bass, but not boomy. The companion app offers loads of eq options can’t fault them for that. A bit gutted they have no active noise cancelling. But still another great product from the guys at Anke
Ok, this product is fantastic; sound quality is very good a little bright but excellent. It connects instantly to my phone no issues, the battery seems to last ages. The storage case is beautifully designed and oozes quality. The only gripes I have is that they are a little on the large side and heavy, so not good for prolonged use. They make your ears hurt If used for long periods and tend to fall out of your ears if you do anything other than a leisurely walk.
Still for the price, I don’t think you will get anything better. Another quality Anker product.
The sound quality is excellent when using these on the office or at home. They do suffer from a faint background constant hiss. That’s why 4 stars not 5
Some months ago, I needed some wireless buds for working out/running. I had been previously using a decent pair of wired in-ears that I use for live music performance. I wasn’t willing to compromise on that audio quality so after a few days of research I settled on three different sets of wireless buds to test out, that had all been independently reviewed as being excellent audio quality, good value for money and designed to be compatible with exercise.
The Anker Lib Pro 2s weren’t the cheapest out of the three options but I found to be the best in terms of audio quality and ability to perform during vigorous exercise. I had read a lot about a hissing/white noise audible in the background while music wasn’t playing or during very quiet parts of mellow music tracks – I haven’t found this to be the case in my instance. Further, I have found the sound stage to be impressive. More so than my wired in-ears that I was using with quiet a fancy Bluetooth adapter even! The array of E.Q. pre-sets and E.Q. customisation offers easy to use adjustments to tailor these buds to suit your taste and the intricacies of your hearing. The selection of bud tips and wings allowed me to easily get a good seal in my ear canal, that stays secure, even during long, intense workouts.
In summary: they sound very good, they’re easy to use, the fit is customisable, the sound is customisable, the battery life is long (wireless buds and case). I can’t say I’ve used them much for voice calls but I made sure to ask the caller of the quality of the audio when I first did and they said my voice sounded “normal”. The only very slight criticism I have is that they could be louder. They’re loud enough 99 % of the time, sometimes too loud; but every so often, I just wanted them to go one notch louder for a particular song during a workout but I’d already maxed them out but I think that this is well outside the range of what almost all people would need.
Great value, great product.
The head phones are a lovely sound, fit nicely and I was really happy with them. However, after 11 months the sound went in one earpiece. I contacted Anker Support and had the best customer service I have experienced in over a year. They tried over email to look at a fix, then asked me to send the headphones in and sent a replacement set out all within a week. They also reimbursed my postage costs and sent a follow-up email to check the new ones were okay. So it is a brand I will use again and recommend as they seem to care about the customer.
Really great sounding headphones with excellent sound range and reproduction. The case is well constructed too. The weaknesses are a lack of active noise cancellation and button based controls. The pros far outweigh the cons here
I saw these Liberty 2 Pro earphones highly recommended in a review by someone I trust and decided to give them a try. They were remarkably inexpensive for top-end devices so my expectations were not as high as they might have been for earphones costing three times as much; but I was wrong, they are amazingly good. Firstly they ship with four different sizes of earbuds, so you can find the ones which are exactly correct for your ear size. Next, they live in a neat oval box which not only charges them via a cable or wirelessly but also acts as a charging station, so when the battery runs out in the earphones they can be recharged via their little case which acts as an additional battery. Although the headphones work straight out of the box if you download their app a world of sound manipulation awaits you so you can achieve the exact sound stage you like – base heavy, stripped back, whatever you prefer. So some basic headlines:
The battery life on these Pro 2’s is amazing, claimed up to 8 hours, I’ve never tried as they never run out in one session and as soon as I put them back in their case they’re charging up again!
The sound quality and clarity is amazing. My wife has some 300+ Sony earphones and I can tell no difference, in fact I prefer mine.
They are comfortable in the ear and the sound quality of phone calls is very good.
Finally their customer support is excellent. I initially had a problem with getting them to sync to my TV, it turned out to be entirely my fault, I just hadn’t bothered to read the instructions carefully, but the support team could not have been more helpful and also answered the phone very promptly – not something you find everyday by any means…
So, if you are in the market for a new set of in-ear headphones and want something which is amazing sounding but will not make too big a hole in your pocket, then I wholeheartedly recommend you try the Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro earphones, I’m certainly glad I did.
PS. Although they are wonderful with music, they will make your music collection sound better than you could have imagined, I actually use them more to watch TV in the evening at volumes which would probably disturb my neighbours, you hear so much more detail, footsteps, ticking clocks etc and of course the odd explosion or gunfire is amazing!
Lastly I have to declare that I have absolutely nothing to do with the company who sold me these earphones or Amazon. I’m just a middle aged man who bought a brilliant bit of kit.
I have a Samsung note 10 and a Samsung watch active, so I looked into purchasing the Samsung earbuds. A friend had these Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro earbuds and recommended them instead so I thought I’d take a chance and give them a go. So glad I did. Very easy to pair and set up. I customised the graphic equaliser on the Soundcore app and wow, the sound is amazing. Nice heavy bass which is a must for me! Really good price for the quality. I’d definitely recommend them.
Leading with the good, the earphones do sound very good for a variety of music genre’s. The bass is maybe a little too prominent, but the clarity of highs and mids during intensive moments of bass is not lost, making them surprisingly good all ’rounders. The mic is also quite serviceable and the case is rather nice.
The problem, however, is mere days before the three month mark (from the time of purchase), the left earbud has given up the ghost while in the charging case. The lights blink, indicating it is trying to find something to connect to but despite trying on multiple devices, it would never connect. Disconnecting the earphones completely (i.e, removing them as remembered devices from the host) and attempting to reconnect showed that the left earbud stopped showing up as a device entirely, indicating that despite it’s light it was effectively dead, unable to connect in any fashion. The right still functions, but most people do not buy expensive earphones to solely experience one audio channel.
As such, while they sound very good, I cannot recommend the purchase of these earphones due to my experience of this crippling fault.
UPDATE, DEC 5:
The customer support was very good, and the issue will probably not be a very common one unless you use them as I did. I would frequently leave the left earpiece in the charging case while using only the right earpiece. Eventually this resulted in a situation wherein the left earpiece disconnected from the right, and they had to be reset by holding the button on the charging case while they earpieces were in there for 10 seconds. The LED’s on the earpieces should flash 3 times, and combining that with telling connected devices to forget the earbuds allowed they are both now functioning as expected. While this issue is a nuisance that shouldn’t be a problem, the solution seems to be thankfully simple.
As such, I can give them a firm, only marginally caveated, recommendation, and have upped the rating to four stars.
After much consideration I opted for these. I wanted a pair of earbuds that gave me great sound. to me sound quality was more important than having noise cancellation that would then impact the sound quality as manufacturers seem to care more about features than sound.
As I found out with the Sony xm3 series.
I’ve had not any issues with the white noise people say about maybe this has been resolved or its something that I don’t notice.
The charge on these last forever I’m still on my first charge since I bought these. Back in August I used them for a trip to Portugal and I used them a couple of times a week probably for about half hour at a time and I’m down to the last light on the charging cased. So very impressed with these and the fact they don’t discharge themselves.
Sound quality is really good everything sounds crystal clear which is nice the base isn’t too overwhelming I do like a bit of bass and I think it’s spot on.
One thing I would like would have been for them to be a bit louder but that’s my personal preference.
Get different ear tips for a nice secure seal they do well at keeping the noise out. I find that if I do stop and talk to someone I do need to take one out to hear them properly and to make sure I’m not talking too loud. As these don’t have any pass through.
Call quality seems ok I haven’t done a great amount of calls on then but on the few times I’ve been interrupted listening to music they’ve been fine and haven’t had any complaints about how I sound on the other end.
at the end of the day I bought these for sound quality not for phone calls or any other features and I’m pleased with them and would recommend them.
This is my 3rd pair of wireless earbuds from Soundcore. I’ve got the Life P2’s and the Liberty Air 2’s.
I feel that the Liberty 2 Pro’s are the best. They’re more expensive but the sound is far superior. They’re not active noise cancelling but they do isolate extremely well due to the range of ear tips and wings provided.
They connect to the Soundcore app with its range of pre set eq settings. So finding a sound to suit you will be easy. There’s also the Hear ID setting which tailors sound to your ears.
So far they sound amazing, fit well and I’ve found that I use my wireless earbuds more than I use my Sony XM3’s just for convenience.
All in all, comfortable fit, good sound and good isolation. If you can get them on an offer buy them. BTW there’s no background hiss with my pair. I’ve listened to music and spoken word and they perform brilliantly.
I think these sound superb. Very similar to Echo Buds except bass is less boomy, tight dynamic sound and the soundstage is huge and open. Very impressive.
You get plenty of custom fitting components but to be honest I used them straight from the box and they were a perfect fit.
I’m perplexed by these reviews that say you can hear every footstep, every swallow. That’s simply because they “seal” the ear canal, all earphones that do this to boost bass response do exactly the same thing. Echo Buds are exactly the same.
Rotate then so they don’t seal, the bass drops but the footsteps disappear too. This makes them like ear buds that sit in your ear, less bass, no heartbeat or footsteps.
The ear test works fine. It sends an ascending tone to each ear, you hold you finger on the screen and lift it as soon as you hear nothing. As soon as you hear something again you put you finger back. Mine needed to boost high freq and one band in the midrange. Toggling the custom eq. You could hear the difference. In my view it works perfectly.
The eq. customisation is great but I have stuck with my personal hearing test “curve”.
I’m well impressed by these.
The good ;
They sound better than my airpods , and galaxy buds plus
They are easy to customise and the button placement is really good
The bad ;
Persistent hiss that will annoy the living hell out of you
Bigger than you expect them to be , you’ll know what I mean when you get them in your hands
CONCLUSION
They are pretty damn good , the hiss is annoying but they are better value than all the other competitors. You’ll get over the size , and they fit in your ears well due to the large selection of fittings
Firstly – these come up sub 100 quite a lot, so wait to get them then.
Overall – these sound superb, regardless of the music you listen to as the Soundcore App is really customizatible, so you can tailor it for your taste in seconds.
You can customize the functions of the buttons on each ear bud. (Alexa, Siri , volume up, next track etc.).
USB c Charging and wireless charging (takes 90 minutes to get 100% then you get 30+ hours out of em and the case).
Waterproof (well grand if in gym or our for a run).
Lots of earbud sizes (and inner ear wings) so you should be able to get a really snug fit.
Only really small snag is sometimes when you put them back in the case you need to open/close it a few times fro bluetooth to disconnect.
A +++++
It’s a great earbuds, I am using my iPhone 11 pro max since last more than a month and i am happy with the great clean and deep punch bass, I am happy with my decision because I bought this, ad also Soundcore application which give nice Equalisers options listen music as per ur choice or u customise as per choice. Its very good and battery life also very good
Pros:-
Deep bass
Easy to connect
Handy and unique style
Great battery life
Cons:-
Delays in Right and left earbud when increase or decrease the volume control.
I am a bit of a Headphones ‘snob’ really! I own a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones and have had them for a couple of years. They are a fantastic product and i use them when i fly all over Europe on business as the noise cancelling is great but so is the sound. I had an old pair of Earbuds made by ANBES that i bought from Amazon years ago that i could use when i was in the gym. They were poor to be honest, not great sounding but did the job! I have been after a pair of true wireless earbuds for a while as i wanted a lighter headphone whilst on ‘Teams’ calls during lockdown, throughout the summer. I was tempted by the Sony WF-1000XM3 ear buds but couldn’t justify paying nearly 200 when i had a great pair of Sony’s already. I did some research and the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro sounded like a good alternative. I nearly bought dome a couple of months ago but my Kids wanted to buy me headphones for my birthday so i didn’t want them spending that much money! I ended up with a pair of MPOW M30 PLUS which cost only 33. They sound pretty good and are very loud but at that price point you are not going to get the best audio quality. This week i spotted the Liberty 2 Pro’s for 84 on Amazon Prime day so i bit the bullet and ordered a pair! They arrived today and i have to say i am really blown away by the sound quality. I have been listening to them side by side to my Sony’s and they sound as good as the 280 Sony’s. I have not played about with the equaliser yet but the pre set sound settings are ideal for me. They seem to fit in my ears too but do come with loads of different sized adapters if required. I have not tried them with any calls yet or on any Teams conference calls but will do this tomorrow. What is important to me is the sound quality and these will take some beating. I read lots about a background ‘hissing noise’ but i cannot hear this with my set. First impressions are that i would recommend these headphones to anybody. They sound far better than my sons Apple Airpods and were about 50 cheaper. If you are looking for quality sounding earbuds, you can’t go wrong with these. Go and treat yourself today, you will not be disappointed!!
After extensive research I decided to purchase this earphones due to the vast amount of reviews calling them the best TW earphones. I really wanted to get some good earphones for listening to podcasts and music whilst working. I had heard about some problems with some hissing noise but most people told me that it had been fixed. However, whenever I am playing a podcast or just not playing anything they just hiss so much that I just can’t stop thinking about it and distracts me from whatever I am doing. It’s a shame because the sound is very good (even though I would prefer a bit more bass, some people have recommended me to buy other ear tips; so I may just do that to test it). I also bought them due to the great battery that the case claimed to have, however after some days of use I realized that they just give me around 14 hours of extra battery. The battery gets drained so fast. I am just gonna assume that the model I got is faulty and thats why my unit hisses and hast a defective case. Hopefully, Souncore can replace them for me because I really love the sound in them and I’ve heard that the customer support is really good. Thank you!
PS: I’ve heard loads of reviews saying that they were very bulky but to be honest they are really tiny compared to my finger. See my second picture for reference.
There are lots of things to like about these. I got them for 95.99 on an Amazon promotion.
The bass and soundstage are excellent. They are comfortable and won’t fall out, BUT – I could not get a fit in my right ear with any of the supplied buds – without a good seal, you will not hear the bass correctly. So I purchased replacements separately from Amazon.
I did initially contact Anker about this problem by email. They were happy to help, but required a lot of information and photos from me, and I was in a hurry. So I bought the biggest compatible foam buds I could find on Amazon, and this cured the problem.
I will warn you that if you are sensitive to higher frequencies, then these are going to sound harsh. I used the supplied app to lower the top 2 EQ bands all the way down, then I used my MP3 player EQ to lower them further.
But even with these bands crushed, they still produce a reasonable volume – not very loud, but sufficient.
I used them for over 200 hours prior to this review so see if this harshness calmed a little, but it didn’t.
The connection is reliable and the design is good. They do stick out a bit, but I only lost one once when taking my T-shirt off.
For 95.99 these are quite good.
Well made, good fit, amicable sound adjustability for an in ear headphone…has transformed cutting the grass and long walks to the shops forever.
Maybe a little lacking in midrange bass, apart from that, they’re just what you need. In any case, there are sound engineer created EQ options plus the ability to tune it to your ear or…my own personal favourite…just play with the EQ values for yourself (just wish there were a few more options to play with is all…mind you, I like to fiddle with audio anyways so, that will not likely be of concern to anyone else )
Good case also with excellent recharge method optionality and ample standby extension of the headphones.
Headphones last about as long as is listed in the Amazon posting and appear built to last with numerous option included with the headphones to perfect their fit.
No noise cancelling feature, however, after seeing how poor the option is on my mom’s own Sony XM3 wireless in ear headphones, I wouldn’t see the point in having it anyway.
To be honest, they fit that well and are built out of that quality a material that I have not felt like I’m missing out and will always have to remove one of the headphones to hear people speaking to me in the same room even.
Although the physical button presses can be customised, I have found that volume control from the earbuds themselves is a little awkward…however, as pause isn’t and I don’t often have the need to adjust volume once set in most cases anyways (or I can use my phone’s own volume switch) it’s not something I’m going to mark down.
Maybe this is something that could be improved via SW updates moving forwards…while they’re at it, maybe they could introduce things like ‘triple clicks’ or ‘click and hold’ options within the SW to expand the number of functions that can be assigned to the buttons moving forwards.
Range of the Bluetooth is acceptable managing to just about reach my headphones through 2 x walls while out in the garden while I was charging my phone.
Good for what they are, just don’t expect over ear can sound quality/functionality.
Yeah sound great have great low down and mids a real shock on how good they sound and would recommend all day long hopefully this last and I get some good use out of them but if not I will updatE this feedback but yes they have great sound with a sound ore app that accompanies it and give you some real changes in sound set by industry experts on headphone sound but if none of them suit your taste them you can use the equaliser setting and perfect your listening and save your top three for different music all in all a great set of in ear phones with a great and easy to navigate app that gets updates and I for one hope it gets future updates we shall see, if these earphones go wonky like my Samsung buds did with left side just giving up I will update this…
Thanks..
Ok, lets talk about the few things I don’t like about these and then I’ll tell you the stuff I do like.
1. It might just be my phone but they don’t go as loud as I expected them to go, they’re loud, don’t get me wrong but could do with being 10% louder.
2. The left ear bud is a pain to connect, worked out that if you press the connect button on the back of the case while its open that it will connect them both, otherwise you’re stuck just using the right bud.
3. You can’t adjust the EQ without both buds out the case, no idea why but thats just how the software works.
4. Finally, I don’t like how they fit in the case. It seems like you have to turn them 180 degrees to fit them in.
Now on to some good points.
1. Firstly, The sound quality is amazing! Hands down some of the best I’ve ever heard. Bass is very strong while not distorting the mids which are clean and balanced. The highs are just perfect, they’re crisp enough that you would think you were listening to the music live.
2. The case is small enough to be pocketable and at the price point; it offers more than apple AirPods. You get wireless charging, Matte finish, USB-C fast charging.
3. The Soundcore app is great, It allows you to customise what the buttons on the buds do, allows you to change the EQ to dozens of presets and allows you to create you’re own personalised EQ using HearID.
4. The buds with the medium buds and wingtips fitted me perfectly, but the option is there if my ears suddenly get bigger as you get so many ear tips, its amazing. The fit is super snug and the earphones won’t fall out, no matter how hard I shake my head.
Conclusion.
If you’re in the market for some amazing sounding earphones and don’t want to spend a fortune, get these. Don’t hesitate. Just get them. you won’t get better value for money anywhere else.
9/10
These are by far the best sound quality I’ve heard in ear buds and i have owned a few. The bass is BIG without drowning out the highs and the mids. If I lost these I would buy again in a heart beat. 1 thing I would have liked like more functionality with the buttons but that’s the only blemish on these fantastic buds. The placement of the buttons are perfect so you don’t keep pushing the buds deeper into your ear causing quicker fatigue. All in all great buds for a fantastic price. Money well spe
The sound quality of these earbuds is superb and although I’ve heard people say that the personalised EQ didn’t work for them it worked for me perfectly. Better than much more expensive ones including the Powerbeats Pro which I returned for not living up to the 250 price point.
I can get over the very slight hiss when there’s no music playing as most of the time I am wearing them music is playing.
The customer service is excellent too. I had a very minor issue where one bud would always automatically connect or disconnect. I emailed customer support to explain and they sent me a replacement pair within a few days with no quibble. First class service that!
If my eyes were closed and someone put these buds in my ears, I would have guessed they were Bose. If like me you want bass, these are for you.
The app enhances the flexibility to produce the custom sound you want via the equaliser, and it is nothing like I’ve seen – cannot be compared to apple or the apps you can download, because you can create a custom profile similar to equify for Spotify, but the sound core app is much more affective and you can hear the difference from the adjustments.
My wife got me these earphones for my birthday due to my job I needed a good set of earphones to get me through the days.
I have a big pare of beats studios that cost me nearly triple what these cost and Honestly the soundcore are somehow better. !
Sound core have there own app specifically to adjust the equalisation of the the sound and it’s truly the best, there are actually professional setups from a actual producers that you can copy over to your own setup.
The noise cancellation all depends on your ears, there are a few reviews from people that say they don’t work but this must be because they have elf ears or something and can’t get the 18 ear adapters to fit right. For me the large fit perfect and there so good even when I pause the music I still have to remove one earphone to talk to someone… there so good it can be annoying!
Ok the big part! Four months in and my charging case had an electronic malfunction and with a few emails to Emily at customer service and she fixed all my problems with absolutely amazing professional services.
Great sound quality with intense bass and overall nice product. I haven’t experienced any HISS noise so far.
I’d recommend it for music lovers, people who listen to jazz, metal, pop, hiphop, classic in different formats, mp3, flac etc.. Audiophiles just look for something else. I know you can adjust the volume, but absolutely not enough for me, always constantly at max and still not enough power. I would have preferred not to have all of those useless EQ settings but perhaps just a good preset and way more volume.
4 stars, unless they will change volume power by updating the firmware…
Cons:
No touch surface, you have to use buttons on the earphones. I actually prefer this.
No noise cancellation.
No audio pass.
Now…
Sound? Great!
Out of the box the highs a bit harsh, but the benefit of that is you can lower it. The bass is insane! So much that I lowered it too. It lacks mids so I’ve lowered the highs and lows and it’s brought up the mids a lot better. There a ton of presets to choose from. For me they all either exaggerated the highs or the lows so I had to manual tweak. The sound stage is also incredible, watching movies on the go with these are a blast.
There’s an option where the headphones can adjust sound to your ear/hearing, that didn’t work for me.
Build? Great!
The box alone feels premium, the buds look and feel premium! The case has the soft touch feel to it, feels good in the hands (insert Flossy Carter line here). It’s a little bigger than the airpods pro box but very pocketable.
Battery life? Great!
I have only listened to these for about 5 hours max so I can’t vouch for the 8 hour mark they claim, but I think these could easily reach over 7 hours.
Price? Perfect!
For me at least, got it on offer for 90
It also has wireless charging, it’s water resistant, charges via USB C with fast charge options.
This is for the Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro True Wireless EarbudsArrived, nicely packed, put them in and not bad but still lacking bass and midrange….until I chose the right tips for my ears and wow.
2 parts the wings that hold them into your ears and the shaped tips that fit in the ear canal. If, when using the buds you apply light pressure to each bud pressing them gently into the ear you experience much increased bass and midrange a much richer better sound, you have the wrong size tips. You now know how they should sound from that little test. Choose slightly larger and /or different shaped tips until you get that sound. With the right tips isolation is much improved as is bass, midrange and richness of sound.
Charging box is great as is the android application (definitely get that). My favourite equalisation at the moment is that of Krish Sharma in the professional EQ selection.
I purchased them for a more secure fit and much better sound and I have not been disappointed, I have not yet tried them for calls.
When watching movies or YouTube any lipsync lag is pretty much non-existent.
Pros – great sound quality and easily adjusted. Great case and excellent battery life.
Cons – poor microphone so not usable for calls. Remember to update firmware when prompted which is v easy
Amazing quality earbuds for music and watching videos.
Just be aware though that even though they are aptX earbuds, they DON’T reduce latency in process-heavy games like COD Mobile. This may of course vary depending on device and bluetooth settings, however I’m using the Samsung Galaxy S10 and even with the basic system default settings, I still get almost a 1sec delay.
Not a biggy though as wired headphones is always advisable for games like this – the earbuds are simply the best I’ve ever had.
I am glad I didn’t go for something more expensive than these as the top brands have been quoted as not sounding as good as these but are more than twice the price of the Soundcores.
I think the battery life is great and the build quality is also good and I like the sound app which allows you to adjust the sound to your liking and even gives you a hearing test to set the sound to suit your hearing.
Overall great sounding earbuds with a good build quality and descent battery life and at 120 are worth every penny and proof there is no need to pay twice the price of band snobbery.
I’ve been after a new set of true wireless buds and, after nearly going for the Sony WFsomenumbers with ANC and glowing reviews, I was put off by the lack of sweat resistance. So, did my research and went for these from Anker.
I’m blown away. Simply put, they are awesome. I’ve had Samsung Buds which were not bad, and I’ve got a set of Nuraphone Headphones, supposedly one of the best over ears out there; they’re good and they ANC is great, but these Liberty Pro 2s are easily better.
I’ve heard details in tracks I’d never heard in my life before. The personalisation through the Soundcore app is great, as are the many presets.
I’ve given 4/5 for noise cancellation, as there is no actual active noise cancellation but get the fit right and the isolation is great, I’m not missing ANC.
They’re a bit on the large side, but that’s barely noticeable in use. Weight wise, they’re balanced and light. They feel completely stable and secure, with the big selection of tips and wings in the box it’s easy to find a good fit. I’ve run, worked out, jumped, shaken my head and nothing shifts them.
The case is very pleasing, with the sliding lid a nice classy touch. Likewise the wireless charging- I’ve got a Samsung duo charger and these and my phone charge perfectly on it.
Battery life – if you manage to run these down in one session, you’re listening too much and need to engage in the real world a bit more!
Calls work fine too, no issues whatsoever. Easy single button on each bud for various customisable functions. I prefer the physical buttons to touch sensitive as there is no mispressing – with my Samsungs, the amount of times I adjusted them and skipped or paused a track instead was all too frequent and annoying. Plus you don’t have constantly adjust and check on these.
There is a trending YouTube video review out there of these and the guy agrees on most of the above but says there is a constant hiss and says not to buy. Ignore this. There is zero hiss.
I honestly cannot fault them. Thoroughly recommended in the extreme.
I’ve probably got too many headphones and ear buds kicking around my house mainly because I’m always searching for the one that makes me stop in my tracks and I’m happy to say that I’ve found them.
Many You Tubers critiqued these buds saying that there was a constant background hiss that spoiled the listening experience so I held off purchasing for some time.
After serious thought not to mention the 50 pound drop in price I took the plunge. After all, if the sound quality was poor, you could always send them back right? Glad to say that I’m definitely keeping these bad boys. The sound quality is excellent. Bass, treble, midrange is all there and through the app there is a plethora of options to tailor to your personal needs including the fantastic Hear ID set up that allows you to set it up to your own personal hearing range. Background hiss? I’ve listened to all sorts including podcasts and cannot hear anything of the sort. The packaging, choice of buds and tips and the buds themselves ooze quality which is to be expected from Anker as I have a number of other products from them. But its the sound that nails it for me.
I’m always one that gets bored with long reviews so don’t want to keep going on about these buds but needless to say that I highly recommend them especially at this price point it’s a no brainer.
I got these when there was a 30 voucher available. Very fast delivery but thats just not what this review is about. It’s about the earbuds.
I got them, opened them up. All the usual bits and pieces. Put the earbuds and case on to charge. Which was very quick. Doesn’t take long to charge at all. I downloaded the soundcore app. Bluetooth pairing is quick and easy. The app itself is basic but great. The sound straight off the bat is amazing. But there’s more. There’s a part of the app where you can personalize the sound called hear ID. It tests your hearing. So you get a personalised sound from it. For me, this is just amazing, I CAN HEAR EVERYTHING in the songs I listen to. Just at a level you can never get in normal headphones/earbuds. It feels so immersive. But even if this isn’t to your liking you still have 22 defaults, 7 professional composers profiles with 3 more coming soon AND the ability to do your own custom setting. Also in the app you can customise the buttons on the earbuds. The battery life is brilliant and more than enough especially with the charging case that will top it up for you on the go. Plenty of life. The earbuds also do not fall out of the ears, move, feel heavy or hurt even after hours of wearing which I’ve found with other ones. I have small ears and found these to fit extremely well and comfortable.
What don’t I like? How the earbuds are positioned in the charging case. Feels a bit “difficult” to put them in. Feels weird. The size of the case also. Not as slim and compact as I’d like. I’d also would love the earbuds to have been a bit more waterproof too. Also I’d have loved them to be touch buttons and not push buttons But it’s things I’m happy to overlook simply due to how great the sound quality is from the earbuds themself. Maybe they can be upgrades for the next pro version.
Would I buy them again? Absolutely. Worth the cost? Absolutely. Would I recommend them? Yes without a doubt.
I was wary about buying these after seeing numerous people complain about a “white noise” or “hissing” issue. After seeing a 40 discount on them I decided to take the plunge and order myself a pair.
It was the best decision I’ve made during lockdown. They’re comfortably the best sounding earbuds I’ve ever owned.
The app is really good and user friendly too, and lets you customise your EQ if thats something you like to do (theres a bunch of different presets too). I’m not really a fan of the HearID feature, but my hearing is pretty good and so don’t notice much of a difference with the music. I think the idea is really good though, and maybe somebody experiencing a loss of hearing in one or both ears will find this more useful.
Overall I’m extremely impressed. I don’t really know much about audio quality but I do know these let me appreciate my music more than I ever have before
I am no audiophile but the upgrade in sound quality from the standard version is noticeable. After an initial playing around to find the best fit with wingtips and bud size they fit perfect are comfortable and do not come close to every falling out. They are are easy to get in and out case it small and easy to fit in pocket for everyday carry. They do stick out a little bit but that make no difference to me. For me the only caviet is for my listening mostly podcast and audio books the standard version are just as good. But music quality is better in this version which I do enjoy on the occasions I listen to music.
I’m audiophile – love sounds, so good quality speakers/headphones is a MUST.
BTW: white noise, low noise : nothing in my model – HAPPY with sound quality at really LOW volume (Android with manual volume adjust to minimum audible)
TLTR;
+ amazing sound quality, natural bass+middle+high, feels like overEar headphones !! I’m IMPRESSED!!! for ANY type of music
+ battery life
+ you can use them for gym/workouts/running – still keep on place with any shakes!
+ nice & solid design
+ doesn’t HIT your eardrums too much – I’d used before for gym/running other ‘popular brands’ and my eardrums was in pain after 45min moderate volume.
+ simple button configuration (e.g.volume -/+ at left/right)
+ amazing microphone with noise cancellation
+ MONO left/right usage
+ really good EQ
+ a lot of ear plugs
+ Wireless charging case – OH YEEES
+ LOUD!!
+ RECOMMEND for any high quality user
+ add Dolby Atmos (e.g. sound settings in Android) to achieve another dimension on sound in/on/around you
neutral:
: (not for me) for some user important features : no active noise cancellation
: (not for me) cannot put to deep wate
I bought these to replace my Bose Soundsport Free for gym/workout use. While they aren’t as comfortable as the Bose are, they sound significantly better. The use of the Balanced armature for the mids and highs while leaving all bass to the huge dynamic driver is a work of genius. They aren’t they most detailed of earphones, but they sound great and you can’t go wrong. I wouldn’t recommend them for critical listening as they are very bass heavy (even with the adjustable eq). But for workout use where you want to hear and feel the bass, these are perfect, while not sacrificing any of the mids and highs (due to the BA).
Like beautifully built Battery life ,Range from connected device wireless chargering, App , dislike lack of Bass , youtube reviews talking bull when it comes to bass , bluetooth connectivity can be so frustrating , lack of pass Trough you can not here sounds around you. And when they are sorted the excellents comes trough you need to play around to get some bass but otherwise they sound brilliant.
My first pair up was to a S9 plus and it was hit and miss , second pair up was a Note 10 plus , awsome total transformation. Putting them down is getting Harder than I expected.
well not exactly an hiss but some kind of background static. not a crackle or a whistle but like an empty room hum that gets drowned once my music or movie starts but probably heard once again once the volume drops.
does the personalisation app work. yes and reduces whatever is paragraph 1.
had a discussion with anker to make sure i was on the right version hardware wise, was told yes, did an upgrade for the software too when i put the soundcore app on the phone. was offered the option of returning it.
but does the job for me. battery life is great, lots of options to get a great fit, doesnt budge when i walk or run, connects up quick, and for the kind of music i like to listen to : 80s pop and rock can ignore the funny hiss/static/’empty room boom’
i got it when the price was around the 100 mark on discount or coupon or something
Fantastic sound quality from these earbuds.
I got these to replace broken Samsung galaxy buds and was amazed at the bass and volume levels. For calls they are ok but not the best mic quality so I’m told. Battery lasts for days with heavy use.
The case is a little large and opens a little to easily for my liking but its a minor gripe as the magnets hold them in place securely.
For the money these are hard to beat.
First of all the earbuds are the best I’ve tried In this price range. Great battery life, easily 8 hour’s per charge, and with the case around the 32 hours they promise. The comfort with these are great, you get alot of ear tips and wings in the package so you’ll easily be able to make it perfect for your ears. And last the sound. Freaking awesome what you get out of these tiny things, great bass, big sound stage and lots af different EQ setting in the app.
There was one problem with my first pair tho, the connection dropped quite alot, and they wouldn’t connect to my phone when I took them out of the case, so I wrote to the anker costumer service, and got it all fixed within a week. Told them what problems my unit had and they gave a few tips that might help, unfortunately they didn’t help in my case, so I was sent a new pair and had them 5 days after I first wrote to them. And the new pair works great, none of the problems my first pair had. Oh and the case is freaking addicting, to open and close
Just purchased these and have tested them out this Afternoon. Played Latin, rock, 80s pop , drum n bass and also an audiobook and the clarity on them is phenomenal. I am no audiophile but I love my tech and I have purchased many headphones before, on-ear, over ear, in-ear, tws, wired, all varying price ranges but mostly in the 20-70 price range.
I always felt there was something missing about them though and these prove that there were. I am hearing instruments I had not heard before, such as Men at Work – Down Under.
Also I have played an audiobook as well and have yet to hear any hiss which I have read (and watched) has plagued a number of units. I will give them another test on a lower volume as I have been on the 60-70% range but currently these are the best earbuds I’ve ever purchased.
Also a really comfy fit, easy to place into the ear, a little swivel and they are firmly in place, there are plenty of different sized wing and ear tips to find that comfort.
Controls are also easy, no accidental touches nor a button which you have to jam into your ear before it recognised your finger. Just a small customisable button on top either side.
The Soundcore is a great bonus as well, firmware updates, customise eq and the buttons and check the battery percentage.
Looking forward to using these more and more.
I’ve only had one problem with theses headphones, the fit. Even with the included “wings” they still feel less comfortable then another pair of wirefree headphones I have.
A few people have commented on the “white noise” and while my pair do have a hiss when not playing anything, I do not notice any “white noise” when playing anything through them.
Could go on forever although sound is by far the best I have ever had from in ear phones at this price. Bought @ 140 then day after offer for 100 so sent back and reordered. Fantastic value at this price. Guess they are trying to match the Cambridge Melomania which I liked although could not keep in my ears so returned. Having said that there are better sound wise, especially base if you like that thing. Will never equal my Sony WH-1000XM3 but they are not meant to. Still struggle when running although my fault not theirs and mega choice of bud sizes supplied. Just buy you will not be disappointed.
I cannot emphasize how good the sound is on these especially for the price! Clear voice, mids and highs including a very punchy and deep bass. These earphones support firmware updates through the app and, you can customise them to suit your hearing or choose an existing setting (Bass boost is my personal favourite) I would highly recommend these to anyone wanting to buy them as they’re comfortable, come with an assortment of buds and wings, sound amazing, have an amazing battery life and the customisation for sound presets is very good.
I do not hear any static or white noise at low volumes at all. Must of been one of the lucky ones.
These in-ear headphones do NOT have Active Noise Cancellation, only Passive Noise Isolation as the description says. I did not need ANC.
Very happy with the product and one of the best sounding I have heard on in-ear headphones (sound is subjective). I recommend one downloads the SoundCore app as this will give one the means to choose pre-determined equalisers which actually change the way the music sounds and also the Hear ID feature (which allows one to perform a test which then results in a custom equaliser sound created based on one’s hearing).
For my ears they fit perfectly, however, they do stick out a bit which doesn’t bother me. Some units are having hissing issues but I’m glad to say that mine don’t have that issue.
Summary: if you are looking for in-ear headphones which don’t stick out (are flush with your ears), have Active Noise Cancellation and Ambient Aware mode or ambient noise passthrough then look elsewhere. If you don’t need those 3 features then these will give you fantastic sound.
I can’t comment on noise cancellation for these because they don’t have active noise cancellation. They do offer the best audio playback quality I’ve come across though. My music sounds really, really…..really good when played back through these.
Phone call voice pick up quality on the other hand is not so good. Many times on phonecalls (using my Google Pixel 3 XL) I’ve had to switch over to my phone’s own mic and speaker because the person at the other end couldn’t hear me. Call quality is usually fine in a quiet environment but any environments with background noise (eg on a bus), usually brings up this issue with my usage.
Although battery endurance is listed as 8 hrs out of the holder playing music, in my experience the ‘master’ side (by default the right side bud) will drain battery charge MUCH faster than the slave side – hence only 4/5 stars for this. This means that after a few hours, if you want to even things out, you need to switch off the side lowest in remaining change, redetect the other side as the master and then switch back on the one you’d previously switched off and let it synch as the slave side.
I did have these replaced under warranty once in an effort to fix the call quality issue. I thought this had fixed things but the problem soon returned. The company did a fine job of minimising inconvenience though and despite the call quality issues, the outstanding music playback quality means these are for keeps. Hopefully Soundcore will take this feedback onboard when developing the successor to the Liberty 2 Pro.
Firmware upgrades over the time I’ve owned these have improved the phone-call clarity/performance in noisey environments. I have discovered a lag when watching my TV with audio played back through these. This A/V synch problem is annoying when I see the person’s lips moving a fraction of a second before I hear what they said. I’ve therefore reverted to my older Anker Soundbud (Slims and Tags) for this purpose as these older earbuds don’t have this issue.
Incredible earphones for a reasonable price. The audio quality is impressive and the battery life is amongst the best on the market. There is no active noise cancellation, though this is rarely an issue considered the passive cancelling is acceptable. Also perfect fit that does not hurt even after long hours; I go running with them and they feel completely stable.
I would buy them again.
The only negative practical aspect is that it’s easier to lose them compared to other types with wires that you can hang on your neck, but this is the same for all the true wireless earphones.
Well obviously not life changing!
However I have always struggled with in ear buds both from a comfort point of view and the fact that I can’t stop them falling out.
These Anker sound pros however are a complete revelation. Really comfortable out of the box and with more than enough different replaceable tips to ensure a perfect fit.
The sound quality is excellent and I have not experienced any background noise or hiss.
Noise cancellation is ok but not great, however I prefer this as I like to be aware of my surroundings.
Battery life is superb and the wireless charging a real bonus.
I cannot recommend these ear buds enough.
So, my first pair had an issue, the firmware wouldn’t update, so I wrote to support.
They immediately send a new pair and follow up with me, that is really great customer service.
As for the ear buds – they fit really well (and come with a million optioned), great for gym/train etc.
Running I don’t like them as much, I think as they actually block sound so well I end up hearing myself – odd complaint but it’s not that they’re bad, I think the fit is actually too snug.
I’ve tried them on planes and they nice – not as good as my over ear headphones, but they’re about 50 time smaller so great for weekends or shorter flights.
Oh and they’re not kidding about the 30 hours, I just try to remember to stick them on the charging plate once a week, but they haven’t come close to running out of battery yet.
So yeah, they’re pretty good and for the price awesome…
So I’ve been using these for a couple weeks now and I must say they’re great. I’ve always been a fan of Sony earphones so I was rather sceptical about these due to the lower frequency range the drivers deliver.
I must say I was pleased with the sound quality, very powerful bass but handles high end very well too. In terms of the white noise, after installing the update I hardly notice it, although it’s noticeable on some songs more than others if you listen out for it, but surprisingly not on podcasts. The white noise for me isn’t as bad as people are making it out to be.
In terms of comfort, I found them very uncomfortable for the first week due to the wings, they would hurt my ears if I wore them too long, however now I don’t find them as bad.
The microphone however is piss-poor. Unacceptable microphone performance, if you’re walking along a busy road whilst on a call then it is very difficult for the other person to hear you. Really this had me considering returning the product as I’m someone that makes a lot of calls.
In summary, if you want good sound at a cheaper price, buy this. However if you make a lot of calls, I would highly recommend you try something else.
I have tried a few different Earbuds, jabra 65 & 75t, JBL and Airpods, these definitely are the best. The sound is fantastic, bass is very punchy, which I like. The Bluetooth connection is great, I haven’t had any drop outs, which I had with both Jabras. I use the Earbuds with an iPhone 8, they both have Bluetooth 5.0. Battery life is very good and charging case seems very good, I haven’t used it wirelessly yet. If these Earbuds had ANC they would be perfect.
I’d heard a lot about ear buds and how, mostly, they were rubbish unless you paid a fortune for them. I found these while hunting down reviews of various types and prices. When I got them I tried pairing them with my iPad. They took a fair while the first time but once paired it was full steam ahead. The sound is really good and the price, whilst not exactly cheap, is pretty reasonable for the excellent quality. You’ll need to be pretty nitpicking to find fault with them. I certainly haven’t been anything but delighted with mine!
Genuinely brilliant sound. Good fit. Great battery. Average call quality. Have had for about three weeks now.
I’m no audiophile but I have a pair of Sony MDR-1000X over ear’s, and also had the Apple Airpod Pro’s. These sounded way better than the Airpod Pro’s and honestly, I felt on a par with the Sony over-ears. My thoughts on earbuds I tried before these:
Airpod Pros – were brilliant at fit, call quality, ease of use. Noise cancelling was ok..more of a muffling than a cancelling, and music sounded..average. Sent them back as it grieved me to pay 250 for average sound.
Cambridge Audio Melomania – also sounded great (on par with these) but terrible fit. Large, clumsy, no point sounding good if can’t wear them.
Sony wf-1000xm3 – great sound, but I just don’t know how people are actually wearing these in real life – felt they would fall out even just walking. Worst of the lot in terms of practicality.
I felt the Liberty 2 Pro’s were easily the best of the lot. Calls are passable – you can have a conversation, it’s just not as good as with the Apple ones. But they more than make up for that with everything else. The sound is so good I find myself playing music just for fun rather than just to make the commute easier. Also I contacted customer service about something and they came back to me instantly. Impressed.
I purchased these when on an offer, all I can say is that they sound amazing! That was the main reason for this purchase. After I would say the next would be battery, life which is great.
The app is simple and intuitive and is an added bonus.
Overall I would highly recommend this product!
Everyone knows that I usually don’t do this but this is an exception. It’s worthwhile.
The Anker subsidiary was most definitely not the one I expected to produce what might as well be the best sounding total wireless earbuds, maybe better than Sony’s noise cancelling buds – but here we are. That’s not to say Anker makes poor products – far from it. However I did not expect them to come out with a balanced armature drivers set of true wireless of all the shapes and styles options that were available to them.
Worth mentioning that I do have an older pair of wired buds with the same balanced armature drivers technology, from Sony so I kind of knew what to expect.
You’ll get crisp end and great bass. There’s beautiful separation on the spectrum but if you’re not used to it it might take a few days. You’ll hear the highs sparkle nicely too.
You’ll need an EQ in order to tweak according to the music genres. They also have an app which provides a multitude of EQ presets and it also offers a hearing analysis in order to personalize the buds according to your needs.
They are obviously not the first to go to for mixing unless you’re that good and you can use basically anything to mix on. But they’d be great as a referencing tool.
They do however stand firmly on the high end of sound quality and believe me it is hard to impress me when it comes to that.
I’m particularly impressed at the separation in busy tracks, with vocals standing out clearly from the mess of audio underneath. It’s a pleasure to listen to just about any genre, while podcasts and audiobooks have extra detail and clarity.
For the price these are in one word, stellar.
So I’ve been using these for a couple of months now.
I bought a pair originally which had a slight case of the hissing background noise problem. I messaged Anker who immediately couriered a new pair to me and didn’t even want to take back the old ones.
The set I’ve been using now for a months have been fantastic.
The noise isolation is on par with most other in ear buds, they have a good fit once you find the right set of ear tips and wings.
The sound quality is fantastic for wireless earbuds. Really rich and deep bass, and well defined highs. Especially when using the customised EQ setting using the app.
Battery life is also great. Barely have to charge them once a week.
So to the slight niggles which don’t quite earn them that 5th star.
They are a little finnicky to use. They go back in the case backwards from how you take them out of your ear. So you need to do a bit of a flip to get them back in. Nothing crazy but a bit annoying sometimes if you forget.
Connectivity wise they are mostly spot on. Solid connection and great response for video etc too.
Only issue I sometimes have is that only one bud will connect when I take them both out of the case. Not sure why. But can sometimes take putting them back in the case and taking them out again to reconnect.
Size. They are a bit chunky. Not enough to be heavy or uncomfortable. But enough that you might sometimes knock them or bump them when moving around or putting on a jacket or something.
First thing to say is that these earbuds sound every bit as good as advertised on the Soundcore website. At the price it’s hard to imagine anything better.
I got these as I have some hearing loss in both ears around mid frequency 800 to 1600 Hz and wanted ear buds that would accommodate this.
With Hear ID this is completely compensated for its like having my hearing back. Even without Hear ID the eq profiles and the ability to set and store custom eq makes these a superb choice.
I have Beyer Dynamic Amiron Headphones at home which cost around 500 and are over ear but do have similar individual ear eq. It would be unreasonable to expect the Liberty 2 Pro to be as good as these but they do get surprisingly close.
I use these mostly with an iPhone XS Max AAC Bluetooth and the first thing that came up on the Soundcore App was an upgrade specifically targeted at enhancing use with AAC. I’ve used them connected to my Bluesound node 2i via aptx and they sound great in both scenarios.
The battery charge case is great and the ease of use and operation is seamless.
Two very strong recommendations I would make are.
1. Definitely play around with the various ear tips and wings to get the best fit. It makes a massive difference to the sound fit and comfort and is well worth the effort. It took me quite a few attempts to get the perfect combination.
2. If you are using Hear ID don’t be frightened to re test especially once you have the right tips and wings. Again it took me a few attempts to use the hearing test correctly but it really pays off.
My source music is typically Tidal or Amazon HD. I find overall the Amazon FLAC files seem to translate slightly better to the AAC Bluetooth which I believe is used on my iPhone. So I would say these earbuds with iPhone XS Max Nd Amazon Music HD is a winning combination.
I was a little apprehensive about buying some truly wireless ear buds even though I wanted some mainly because I’ve had cheaper ones before and one of them kept cutting out and in every so often, losing connection to the main bud. I’ve had these nearly a week now so thought best I would leave a review. I’ve used them quite a lot and no loss of connection at all. The battery lasts ages, I’ve not had to charge the case up for a second time yet. The sound quality is excellent. Bass is good but if you require less then the app can sort that out. As with the high end the app can reduce that also. I particularly think there is a lot of high end but it doesn’t spoil them at all. I love wearing them and could quite easily wear them all day if the battery lasted as they are very comfortable. I forget I’ve actually got them in. As for the hiss that people are complaining about well I’ve not noticed any at all. If I did then they would be getting sent back. After doing a lot of reading reviews and looking at specs of a few buds before hand I’m glad I settled on these. Correct choice in the end.
Using these in an office, with a Galaxy S10. I can’t compare them to other wireless ear buds as these are the first pair I’ve tried.
The sound quality is excellent but the stand out for me is the bass, incredibly deep and powerful given the size of the buds. The pair I have do not suffer from the hiss mentioned in other reviews.
The app provides 2 main features, equalization and control. A single click of an ear bud button provides play/pause/answer/end, then there’s double click and hold for 1 second, these are configurable give you control of 2 of the following 3 features: volume/change track/smart assistant.
There are 22 preset eq settings, and a recent update to the app now allows you to create and name your own eq settings. There is also a feature called Hear ID that gives you a hearing test on each ear separately, then creates an eq for you based on how well you hear different frequencies. I have some mild hearing loss in my left ear in the vocal range so found this useful. I find myself switching between Hear ID, Bass Boost and my own custom eq for music. The Vocal Boost eq is also good for podcasts. They have a useful soft start feature so you don’t jump when your music comes back on loud.
There are 7 sets of ear tips and 3 sets of wing tips included. I find they stay in place well in the office. They didn’t really work for me in the gym though, although they never fell out or came properly loose, they did move enough to break the seal in my ear regularly which meant they lost all the bass. So office use only for me…
I found Anker customer service to be helpful, with prompt and useful replies.
Overall I’m pleased with my purchase, I was nervous about the hiss issue but my pair is fine. Would be 5 stars if they stayed sealed in the gym and went a notch or 2 louder.
I love music! I listen to it at home, work and on the move. I own countless pairs of headphones both wired and wireless and in the wireless category these are by far the best sounding of the 4 other makes I have that range from 50 – 250.
Firstly, these were a steal with a 40 off voucher so were just over the 100 mark.
Secondly, they have wireless charging and usb-c wired charging which fits in better for my other phones, tablets etc. The battery life is way more than my other buds and I can easily go for a couple of days of intensive use on one charge with the case.
Thirdly, the fit. They feel a little loose at first but there are range of different sized ear tips and fins that conformed well to my lugholes and make a secure and comfortable fit.
Fourthly, functionality. These buds have a button on top of both left and right buds that are customisable through the soundcore app for play/pause, next/previous track, vol up/down etc. OK, they don’t have touch control or in the centre of the bud but I like that as the other buds I own all need a press in the middle of the bud and end up shoving the bud further into my ear canal making it very uncomfortable and in some cases painful after a while. No chance of this with these buds.
Finally, (I hear you plead), the sound. These buds knock the spots off all the other more expensive truly wireless air buds I own, (2 pairs more than double the price I got these at). Out of the box they were louder and more balanced that my others. Using the soundcore app expanded the soundfield incredibly. The hear ID section works well for me for my unique hearing and is ultimately tweakable.
All in all a great pair of earbuds and I’m so glad I bought them.
These earbuds beat Samsung Galaxy Buds hands down comparing sound quality, battery life and even the app is better giving 20 EQ settings and personalised sound. They sound superb with wide soundstage, deep bass and fantastic treble. Even compraring them to my Sony cans they hold the ground. I cannot hear “the hiss” reported by some. The fit is great with choice of tips and wings – surving the “shakage” test. Also the magnets hold them firmly inside the case so the don’t fall out like Galaxy Buds. Overall, great buy! Well done Anker/Soundcore!
I received this item well packaged and on time. I have listed the pros and cons below – note that these are quite subjective and everyone’s case will be different
Pros
1. The design of the packaging is really good and quite stylish. The illustrations are also good.
2. There are seven pairs of eartips and three pairs of ear wings (one set of eartips and wings on the earbuds themselves) so you should be able to get a comfortable fix.
3. The earbuds are feature rich – USB C charging, quick charging for dead earbuds, wireless charging for the case, apt-X and AAC support, bluetooth 5.0
4. The app that you can download on your phone does add functionality and the equalizer presets are awesome. I have not yet fiddled with the Hear ID function but have read reviews that it really does make a difference.
5. The connectivity is flawless and pairing is effortless. Once paired, it will automatically connect to the last device.
6. The sound stage is awesome and expansive with great bass and mids. Trebles sometimes sound a little fuzzy but not always. The sound is fuller and richer sounding that a few other options I tried (Powerbeats Pro, Airpods Pro).
7. Battery stamina is great and it easily lasts you through a marathon session of Netflix show bingeing (I was on a 3 hour train journey that was delayed by an additional 3 hours and the buds lasted me throughout the journey).
Cons
1. While there are several pairs of eartips and wings, I was unable to find one that was comfortable for me. This is highly subjective so I am sure this is not the case for everyone, just me.
2. While connectivity is great, it only pairs to one device and if we want to pair it to a second device, you have to unpair it from the first one. This is especially cumbersome when one of the devices is a laptop (have to go into settings > device settings > bluetooth devices etc etc).
Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and am sure these buds will last me a long time.
These are, by far, the best true wireless earphones I’ve ever used. Before I bought these I have used the following;
Apple Airpods
Apple Airpods Pro
Creative Outlier Gold
Sony WF-1000XM3
Jabra Elite 65t
The only pair listed above that come close in regard to sound quality were the Sony WF-1000XM3. The rest weren’t even comparable.
These don’t just sound the best but are also the most comfortable.
So far, I have had no connectivity issues and they have worked flawlessly. I noticed some reviews had mention hearing a hissing noise. I haven’t heard this at all so can only assume that this has been fixed.
I’ve had the headphones for a number of weeks and so far I am pleased to say these headphones from an audio quality standpoint sound extremely good. I’ve come from using some very good quality RHA earphones, and in comparison the Soundcore earphones produce a much more dynamic delivery of sound. The clarity of the top end is very good, and the Knowles driver delivers very good clarity at a low and high volumes. The large driver also delivers a very tight low end; all frequencies can be adjusted from the app, however only as presets or as a customised EQ based on the “Hear ID” feature. In terms of Bluetooth, this may vary phone to phone. I have a Huawei Mate 10 pro, which when Connects to these earbuds uses the “aptx” setting, and delivers very good, low latency audio, with minimal delay when watching videos. Regarding the connection consistency of the Bluetooth signal, the only issue I get is literally when I get into very busy locations (i.e. train stations) in London, where it is clear the Bluetooth signals are all jostling for limited broadcast bandwidth. As soon as I leave these stations the issue subsides. In comparison I have checked with other friends/colleagues whom have Bluetooth earbuds from other manufacturers and they witness similar behaviours on their equipment. In terms of controls these are basic buttons on top of the earbuds and can be configured from the Soundcore app. In further software and app updates I think it would be useful to feature more configuration of controls as these are slightly limited; otherwise the present features do the basics well. Lastly the charging case is very neat and small, I have no issues popping this into my pocket each morning on my commute. Some have complained about the removal and attachment of the earbuds when docking – perhaps the first few times takes a little getting used to, but then docking the earbuds becomes remarkably straightforward. Regarding charging the usb C, no issues with this as all of my cables already meet this standard.
All round a good pair of earbuds with very good audio quality/soundstage.
I had lots of connection issues with my pair. I tried them out for a whole day. The sound didn’t seem as good out of the box or with the eq presets or my personal eq. The reviews I have read and seen on YouTube don’t seem to add up. I’m assuming my pair are just faulty. But I’m not happy 149 for what I got I don’t think it’s worth it. Maybe I just have a dodgy pair of buds!
*update*
After a few updates and some tweaks the sound is much better.
Still not as loud and as bassy as I’d like but overall the are improved. Let’s hope some more updates can make them louder and the bass is tweaked.
Pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think these could sound better than a 289 pair of Sennheiser Momentum TW’s – but they do and I’m amazed.
I went through a large number of True Wireless Earbuds as listed here:
Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 TW – Sub-par bass, inconsistent mid-range, sibilant highs
Powerbeats Pro – Punchy bass, all round nice sounding, but put me off because they leak virtually everything at low volume levels.
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless – Overpriced, horrible sibilant treble with little volume and accuracy. Decent bass, but truly awful user experience and inefficient battery life. The case would run out of charge even with fully charged earbuds in them, and I had to pair them up with my device every time I used them
Then I spot these Anker earphones. Having no real reputation on the market for sound, I was sceptical about these. I thought they’d sound crackly, weak and overall horrible.
This is one of those times I absolutely loved being proven wrong: The sound quality is fantastic. Deep, punchy, non-overpowering bass, warm mid-range, and extremely accurate highs. At high volume the treble might get a little sibilant, but if you’re like me and prefer a warmer, bassy sound then I would recommend downloading the Soundcore app. I personally use the Deep preset and don’t really bother with “HearID” as I always end up with bad treble (in that it is too high and unbearable)
Next, you get 6 different pairs of earbuds and 3 pairs of different size ear hooks, as well as a nice place to put them other than a shoddy plastic bag (glaring at you, Sennheiser)
The earbuds have no touch sensitive controls, and instead employ well-placed tactile buttons on each earbud. I cannot stress enough how much better this is than the unreliable Sennheiser Momentum TW’s.
Finally, the case is a little bigger but still fits in my pocket, and holds more charge on both the earbuds and case compared to the Sennheiser Momentum TW.
You really can’t go wrong with these, Anker have thought of everything: high quality sound; fantastic sound quality that conpetes directly with overpriced competition; excellent battery life; excellent controls; an actual decent and well designed app to go along with them.
The only thing these don’t do so well in is noise isolation, but when music is playing it’s still fine. Once you have a good deal, the quality of the sound makes you happy that the only thing they cheaped out on is noise cancellation 🙂
Range of ear tips and wings is big giving lots of options to get the perfect fit, although the buds are on the larger side of the scale they look neat when wearing and aesthetically are pleasing to the eye. The little case looks brilliant and has a premium feel to it, the buds clip in to it with a satisfying magnetic clunk. The battery life, must be one of the big plus points, is awesome, i can easy go one week plus without needing to go near a charger and when i do the wireless charging capability makes it very easy.
Onto the sound, wow, after needing to originally update firmware these are really up there with any other premium buds i have used. Choice of sound profiles on the easy to use app which also allows you to personalise the sound profile for your individual needs. All in all for the price point these must be near as much bang for your buck as you can get. Highly recommended.
Brilliant earbuds. Sound is amazing with deep rumbling (but not overpowering) bass. You can pick out cymbal hits clearly and all instruments in-between. However, they are big. This isn’t too much of an issue when you are sitting in a chair or walking, but laying with your head on a pillow causes the rubber wings to push forwards, which is both uncomfortable and also breaks the seal in your ear, losing some of the passive noise cancelling. You cannot lay on your side if you wear these too. So if you are not a good choice if we put are in bed a lot.
Really happy with these. Fit is really good and the app is a nice touch. I thought there was some kind of noise cancelling option but must be mistaken as it doesn’t work and there is no setting to turn on/off. Otherwise it is a really good option for Bluetooth EarPods.
Firstly let me start by saying I’m a big fan of Anker products and think they’re an underdog in the tech field that actually offer very good products at the price most would consider very fair. This product is no exception.
The packaging is very slick and instantly gives you the sense that the contents won’t disappoint. When you’re buying something that claims to be prestigious or pro, these aspects of the product are very important to me and in my opinion are spot on here.
Getting started was very simple. Once paired with your mobile device The ear buds will auto connect each time you remove them from the case, giving you an update on battery power remaining and chiming to suggest the connection is complete. By the time you’ve removed them and safely put them in, they’ll likely have paired and be ready to go anyway. Connection is strong and so far I’ve not experienced any drop outs or interruptions.
I can’t comment on this white noise other users are reporting, so far I don’t hear anything like this when music is on or off. Maybe they have defective units and should return for another pair to see if the same problem happens?!
Call quality seems strong and clear to the other person from what I’ve gathered. They can tell you’re using a hands free system but that’s pretty normal when you’re not using the phones main microphone.
They come with various tips and wings to suit you’re ears. I think for most people what they provide is adequate to find your ideal seal but unfortunately I have larger ear canals and so couldn’t really get that with the ones they offered, mainly in my right ear. Instead I purchased a set off amazon and luckily they managed to give me a great seal In both ears.
A good seal is crucial in order to truly be able to appreciate the sound quality these kick out, because it’s really really good. I wouldn’t say I’m an audiophile by any stretch but I know and understand music and it’s production and these buds do deliver a great soundstage. Trebles are nice and vibrant and the bass just sounds really natural and isn’t amped up 10x digitally.
The EQ presets in the Soundcore app are all very useful and all unique/tailored to genres of music. A shame you can’t load in you’re own and save a personal bank of presets though. A bit more versatility here inside the app would be great and I hope they look to update an improve this area in time. Jaybird have a great system where users can upload their presets into an online library and it saves a lot of time if you’re not sure how to balance an EQ properly. None the less the presets they do have here on the soundcore app are decent. But a main reason I took a chance on these over Sony WX1000s or the lypertek tevi’s was the hear ID function they offer. Sounds like a gimmick but to me it’s a simpler iteration of what Nurasound offer in their headphones. No one hears the same and sound quality is subjective, so why wouldn’t you want a completely tailored EQ setting for how YOU hear sound?! Such a great feature. Takes around 5 minutes to complete and is almost a sort of basic hearing test played via each earbud independently. You simply hold a button In the app on your mobile when you can hear the frequency, and when you can’t hear it anymore, release. It does this several time’s and voila! It throws out a unique setting for your user experience, and it really does make a difference!
The battery is a fidgets delight as opening and closing it is weirdly satisfying but the battery power it can offer is great and so far had no issues with the buds charging at all.
Only minor complaints i have with these would be as follows:
– when you take an ear buds out when using them, the sound doesn’t stop. I think the new liberty air 2s offer this so is a shame these pro’s do not. Stop start functionality based on proximity is a handy feature to have and I’d have liked to have seen that here.
– I have a belkin wireless charger and for some reason the case isn’t compatible with it. Not sure if it’s an output issue or not but I did tweet anker for an answer and so far have not had a response. Would be nice if the case universally charged with any Qi pad. Weird that a main brand like belkin has compatibility problems here.
– one more size in both ear tips and the wings would’ve been great to have. You get 3 total but 4 would have been ideal for me. RHA headphones come with around 10 sizes/materials and set a high standard here so would be nice for other brands to match that in their top tier products.
Unboxing: Really well presented product. Holding box is neat and well organised. Makes the product look very professional at a very reasonable price point. The wireless charging case is sleek and well designed.
Setup: Download the Soundcore app on your phone or tablet and link up your earbuds. That is literally it. You can then play around with the multiple different size options for the earbuds to make sure they fit correctly. You also have the option to create a personalised EQ using the HearID feature on the app. If you don’t want to, there are multiple different EQ choices dependant on your music choice.
Sound: The sound quality is excellent. It genuinely feels like being in a studio. Very very happy with this purchase. I can now ignore the noises of others around me as and when I want to even though they don’t have external noise cancelling. They’re really simple to use to skip songs, pause and open voice control on my phone.
Summary: Awesome sound quality with a personal EQ at an excellent price.
Wow!! What an incredible little set of ear buds. I bought these for convenience after having a set of over ear headphones and the quality is incredible, right from the start.
They’re well packaged and easy to open. 2 small stickers and I had them out of the box. Connection was so straight forward. No need to download an app, just straight into my phones Bluetooth settings and I was away. The feel and quality overall is great and the satisfying little ‘cluck’ when the bud clips back into the charging pod just adds to the experience.
I had them in for about 4 hours straight at work today at one point and almost forgot they were there. The sound is crisp and clear in the mid-volume range, but packs a punch if you get up around 70% and up. I did hear a very slight crackle in between tracks, but never during a song or in a way that would detriment the performance, I even turned the volume right down to check if I could.
All in all, I am extremely happy with my new headphones and I’ll make sure I check out the over ear options when I need to replace my Bose ones.
I have been waiting for good truelyt wireless earphones for a while now, I didn’t went for the galaxy buds as it wasn’t the best rated nither it was a good comarason to other, untill i found this.
I have tried them for five days now for the first impression its so goob. first of all the sound quailty is expectional, it has really nice bass and its loud where if you reach max you can’thear around you, and yeah while it dosen’t noise canllening it is still hard to hear anything at high valume. which brings me to its designs and fit, it uses rubber ear tips and it can fits range of ear soundcore gives you a range of exchangeable eartips so you can find the best for you, which is one of the reason it cancels the sound around you. the battery life are so great never had it drop to low usually i cahrge them every other day (via wireless) so it might never run out of battery.
Finally if you find this helpful plsease chilck the button down to shows others that this help you, and Thanks 🙂
