I’ve been using these daily for about a year and I’ve got nothing bad to say about them. Having previously only used wired headphone, I’m not a complete convert to Bluetooth, thanks to these.
The sound quality is great, particularly for music. They fit my ears really well, and only start to hurt a little if I’ve been wearing them for many hours on end. They stay in the ears really well, and don’t fall out when I’m out running. I’m very impressed with the battery life, I’m sure I’ve only had to recharge the docking station a handful of times in the last year! The noise-canceling is great, my girlfriend has to tap me on the shoulder to get my attention as when listening to music at a medium volume I can’t hear her talking when she’s standing next to me.
The only downside is they can’t be synced to more than one device at once (as far as I can tell), and turning off Bluetooth on my phone to reconnect them to my ipad and vice versa can be a bit of a fiddly chore.
bought these to try not know what to expect from them. but was happy to find they sound pretty good.
the battery life is stupid good.
they fit my ears nicely. but did feel weird at first (i soon got used to them)
I’ve not tested the mic on them. so have nothing to say about that feature
I’ve had these earbuds for almost a year now. If you hate wireless, you need good latency for gaming, you want volume controls on the buds, you want an app or you’re expecting a miracle with the microphone, you’ll be disappointed. If you have very small ears, you’ll might be disappointed — these buds have definitely been designed for big ears, but they can be configured for smaller ears. If you love wireless, listen primarily to music and don’t mind latency, and you don’t mind the entry level SBC/AAC setup, these are very good, and I can most certainly recommend these for the price.
First, I’ll go over the buds themselves and the microphone, and then I’ll go over sound output, digital compression and latency.
I’ve used these for almost a year now, so the batteries aren’t at their peak any more, but they certainly last longer than I need. The charging case does indeed hold an absurd amount of battery life, so you can just charge the case and not have to plug it in for a while.
There are 5 difference sized eartips: XS, S, M, L and XL. There are also 3 different “AirWing” sizes: S, M and L. To my memory, the M eartips and AirWings are pre-installed, but if you buy these, for maximum comfort I would recommend swapping the AirWings to the S variant, and the eartips to whatever fits your ears best (smaller is usually better).
The signature M and L AirWings work by locking the earbud into your outer ears’ concha. With this config, they aren’t going to be falling out. Good if you have larger ears and issues with buds falling out, but from my personal experience they sacrifice comfort too much. (My ears are probably too small.)
Each earbud has a button on the logo. The controls are standard: click to pause, click in and hold for your favourite assistant. There are no volume controls – you need to set the volume on your device. (1 star for the feature rating.)
The microphone is terrible, mainly due to the design. The mic will pick up all the sounds it can in an attempt to also pick up your voice. This results in low volume and too much background noise according to complaints.
These do not have active noise cancellation. They block out some noise, but don’t expect sheer bliss with these. (3 stars for the feature rating.)
For sound output and software:
There is no app for these buds. No nonsense, just pair via Bluetooth to literally anything that can output Bluetooth audio. (Double check with your device to be sure.)
These buds do standard SBC and AAC. If you’re on Android, use SBC for better quality (AAC is broken on most Android phones). If you’re using an iThing, use AAC.
If you want good latency for gaming, or lossless audio quality, you will need to look elsewhere. These seem to have about 0.3s of lag, which doesn’t sound too bad, but when you’re gaming, the lag is very off-putting. The Nintendo Switch has a problem where top-end treble gets incredibly distorted, presumably by digital compression. This only happens on the Switch, however.
Audio quality, even on SBC, is very good. There seems to be quite a bit of extra bass, so these are certainly not “balanced”, at last not perfectly. If you want balanced sound out of these, you’ll want to rock AutoEQ. Treble detail gets sacrificed by the digital compression, but not by a whole lot. You’re typically not going to be able to notice. (4 stars for the feature rating.)
Overall, I can recommend these to those who understand the limitations of Bluetooth. My full conclusion is at the top.
Recommended by a friend and so easy to use and comfortable to wear, the amazing price is an added bonus.
These kept cutting out at first but when i changed my phone there were no more issues.sound quality is very good, battery life very good bluetooth range also very good. There is however no volume control,i have to used the controls on my phone for that which is no big deal.
Great product for the price , better than original Samsung earbuds ,great sound and connectivity battery life is astonishing
I love these earbuds. Sound quality is excellent, great battery life and a really good buy. Unfortunately the left one fell out as I was cycling and then it got crushed by a bus. Anker please help! Any chance of a spare left earbud?
These are great. They come with a multitude of fins and buds, so you can experiment until you get them fitting perfectly. With a tight fit they don’t come loose when running, and the physical noise cancellation works well. Tightly fitted the base sounds are very audible. Would wholly recommend for great sound, fit and price.
I like that they are very comfortable and the sound quality is great.
So far there is nothing to hate on them.
Advantages:
– Looks super sleek and more expensive than they are
– The range of sizes of the “wingtips” means they fit perfectly
– Excellent noise cancelling considering they’re wireless
– Overall very good connection which is easy to set up
– The charge lasts forever: I bought these almost 2 months ago, and have used them almost daily, and I have only had to charge them ONCE!!!
– Good quality microphone, had no complaints when speaking on the phone with them in
– Magnetic case means they’re always in the right place
Disadvantages:
– Because they’re a very snug fit, they can be uncomfortable after some time
– The connection doesn’t drop out (that’s the wrong word) but there can be some blips where the sound will drop out for a split second which can be annoying
– The mic – like with all wireless earbuds – picks up ALL the sound around you, so not ideal for phone calls in busy or noisy areas.
I had an issue with the earbuds which was sorted out extremely quickly which as a buyer that’s what you want they sent me a replacement and they are working as they should an excellent company to buy from and I would recommend them to everyone. Five star review from me. Keep up the good work thanks
By far the best ear phones I’ve owned. I left a previous pair out in a storm over the weekend without realising, ear phones next to the case. They worked perfectly still once i dried them off.
Only bought a second pair as i lost one of them somewhere.
I had this for several months, works perfectly. I ended up having a minor issue but Anker customer service were extremely helpful and really pulled through. I have other Anker products and so can reassure reliability. Great product.
So . I have RHA Trueconnect, which sound amazing, but regardless of the tips I used, the units migrated out of my ear all the time, and frequently fell out whilst on the move – so I only used them to chill at the end of the night. I trawled and read every review about every alternative before settling on Anker Soundcore Life Dot 2, and admit to being bitterly disappointed with the sound when I got them, especially in comparison with RHA. However, they stayed in place perfectly, so I suffered them whilst out-and-about, reverting to RHA when stationary!
So after months of repeated fiddling with the buds and airwings I FINALLY managed to get a fit and seal that generates the audio experience championed in the adverts and packaging – took me nine months of intermittent attempts, but I got there! They do not have “noise cancelling” technology, but they do a good impersonation of it now I’ve got the perfect fit. The RHA buds are redundant now (anyone want them?). So now I can actually recommend them – just don’t give up hunting for your own perfect fit with the tips and airwings like I did.
Very good battery life has really good sound for price bracket the volume goes up really loud and the noise cancelling is so good really recommended them no need to spend hundreds on the big branded players
These really are great. Comfortable, good sound quality and long battery life. Initially I though the sound quality was really poor but I discovered that I needed to change the size of the speaker covers (to smaller ones) so that they could sit further into my ear. Now the sound quality is excellent. They are also a good size – not too small you fear you’re going to lose them, not too big and bulky to be uncomfortable to wear.
The buds are fantastic for the price and deliver brilliant audio. Mine sadly stopped working after a year but after a quick email and troubleshoot with Anker they sent out a replacement, the customer service was brilliant. Always nice to know that if you buy something you are covered!
I used Samsung buds as im a Samsung guy I have s21 ultra galaxy tablet top of range plus Samsung tvs in all rooms ect but I bought these on the reviews and im more than happy with them only had them couple days now and there excellent so far.you just need to used handset to adjust volume bit that don’t bother me at all as my Samsung buds were touch sensitive I highly recommend these buds and the way they gel in the ears is great.packaging was great also and the amazon delivery driver left them In a safe place for me well pleased and 10 out of 10 for sound fit battery the lot can’t give 1 bad opinio
I really struggle with earbuds staying in- I’d pay a lot more for a product if I knew it’d fit well.
These earbuds are an OK fit for me but I’ll probably try Comply tips as they do fall out- but that’s my weird ears.
Easy to pair and always connect first time, sound is pretty good.
All in all, not perfect but great value and recommended.
Fit in my ears nicely, dont fall out when i’m running. Sound quality is fine. Battery lasts a couple hours. About everything you’d want really.
I had a pair of cheaper buds by mpow which were brilliant, but one bud started losing charge so I returned after 11 months. I bought these after much deliberation, as there are so many to choose from and So far so good. Sound is great, connection is solid. It took me a while to work out how to fit them securely, but now I just slot them in and go. Battery life is unbelievable, I’ve had them a couple of weeks and they have never needed docking, while using. I’ve had an eufy robot cleaner by Anchor, for years and it has never let me down, so I knew these would be quality. I would highly recommend.
It had tobe returned for its too big for my wife’s ears even with all the different sized ear buds.
I’ve been using these earbuds for almost 3 months now and I felt like this was a good time to make a review.
Sound Quality – The sound quality of these earbuds is just as good as you would expect. It’s nothing special, just good, proper audio.
Battery Life – The earbuds started out with a nice 7-8 hours of playtime without charge and were going strong for about a month. However, like any battery, it slowly started to deteriorate around 2 months in. The battery life has slowly been decreasing from 8 to 6 hours without charge. Though this isn’t that much of an issue for me since I can get it back to full in a 15 minute charge.
Durability – The earbuds are very light and sturdy meaning that even though I’ve dropped them a few times already, they have not suffered any real damage.
Minor issues – Sometimes the earbuds will randomly disconnect from my phone and won’t reconnect unless I turn them on and then off again, very rarely though. The earbuds also have issues in places with large amounts of people, they tend to stutter a lot in train stations when I’m walking to my station. The last issue is about how I have to take the right earbud out of the case before the left one or they won’t connect to my phone properly. Again, minor issues.
Just a shame these ones are not supported by the app.
Good battery life. Sound quality is not bad except for annoying constant buz sound in the background when you listen on lower wolumes. And you can’t control wolume on earpiece itself, only on Bluetooth device. Which is not great cause i have to take out my phone every time i want to change wolume. They’re light, very comfortable. Bluetooth sucks, glitches a lot. Microphone also sucks, you have to yell when talking on the phone. Overall for the price it’s not too bad
These buds are great. Came with several different sized rubber in ear grips which were essential for me as i have large ear holes. Very happy and would definitely recommend
The battery life is simply amazing and the sound quality is good. The only negative is the controls. It can be a bit difficult controlling everything while going for a run or being active in general.
Pretty good to be honest. I expected a lot worse but the case charges easily, the magnets in the case take the earbuds in really easily, they seem to last a long time and the physical button rather than a touch on them is actually something I prefer because it means I’m less likely to accidentally pause and whatnot.
Love the sound, love the battery life. They just don’t stay in place! Have tried all the rubber fittings to find the right but it doesn’t matter, they just pop out slowly, even when sitting let alone walking. Overall I am disappointed because the battery life is such a positive. I use them for 1-2 hours a day and I’ve charged the case ONCE since purchase in September. It’s now November! Just getting the ergonomics right and they’d be perfect.
Was skeptical before, but for a bargain price, thought I had nothing much to lose, turned out to be the best deal charge last long as advertised, fits perfectly in ear, can even jog with though can’t recommend for high intensity workouts
The design quality is on point
Call quality is also amazing
Perfect for what I wanted. Sound good, sound even better when the volumes loud. Fit my ears nicely and battery life is brilliant.
Had Cambridge audio melomania earbuds which are also really good but my son got hold of them and managed to break them. These are half the price and I’m chuffed with them.
These are for me very comfortable to wear, there 3 different sizes of ear tips and also ear wings which I have found to be extremely secure and safe from falling out. I am no sound expert (i.e. tone etc) but they appear to have a good Bass and are very loud when you turn up the volume on your mobile or whatever music item that you are using. As advertised there is no volume control or noise cancellation but who needs this when you just increase volume on the phone. If fitted correctly I can’t hear any outside noise at all when playing music, but without music or radio then yes you can make out what people are saying which all together isn’t a bad thing. For making or accepting mobile calls there is no interference or crackling and I have had no complaints from anyone saying that they can’t hear me during the conversation. I have given 5 stars because for me both the sound quality & volume are great and after only paying 35.99 at the time I reckon they were a steal. As I have said I’m no sound expert but for me let the experts pick holes in them I’m more than satisfied. The longevity of the battery life in these is superb, I have used then for 4-5 hours or more when driving down to the south coast etc with no problems and then on the return journey after being in the case used them again for the 5-6 hour Train journey Home, but if the 100 hours of playtime as claimed by Anker is correct I can’t comment but I would suspect that they are right. So for me a damn good pair of earbuds cheap as chips. P.S. One last comment I purchased a pair of AirPods Pro for a lot of money and the sound quality when making a call and listening to music is terrible, have taken them back twice and had them replaced but they are still the same but with these Ankers and fingers crossed they are and will remain Brilliant. ENJOY.
Very very good wireless earphones.
May have a little bulky charging case but has great battery life and solid sound.
Clear sounds is a must and these earphones have it in abundance!
At first I wasn’t sure about them and thought I was going to have to send them back because the sound was tinny but … you have to persevere with the ear tips and wings, keep trying different combinations to get a good snug fit. In the instruction photos it shows the earphone being rotated into the ear and you do have to do that to make a good seal between the earphone and your ear. I think they’re very good now, no problems with the sound, I’m happy with them.
Comes with a wide selection of fitment options which is great, however lack volumes controll on the earbuds. Overall they work great.
These earbuds are a winner in lots of aspects and what I love most about it is not only the long lasting battery life but the quick recharge time.
I have to give my thanks to the supplier since I have been using these earbuds for my workouts/running and love plugging in both earbuds even when it’s raining. After noticing one of the earbuds has a minor issue with the plastic cover, I contacted the supplier and they sent a new set of earbuds straight away. Surprised and grateful, I appreciate the professional support they provide during and after my purchase!
The first set I received had very loud white noise in the background while listening. My replacement still has a small bit of white noise but far better. Other then that they are very nice earphones, don’t fall out and sound decent for the price.
Not the latest and greatest. No ANC, no app support. No touch control.
So why buy these? The lack of all the fancy bits means they’re ideal for me. Pop em in, play music. The close fit cuts out background noise. The soft wings are comfortable and stop movement even during a workout.
Getting the right wing and earbud size takes a little time but is worth it.
Playback quality is OK, a little lacking in warmth and richness.
The buttons on the earpieces work well and have positive feel but there’s no volume control. After a few hours use I didn’t miss this.
Sound quality is amazing, but the small copper charging ports inside the ear can be abrasive and uncomfortable if the earbuds are worn for long periods of time. I would suggest a way of applying a soft covering, which still allows for the current to pass through and charge the earbuds, to prevent the abrasive nature of the copper on the inner ear.
All round sturdy built product, with excellent battery life and amazing sound quality.
This is the first set of earbuds iv owned, but not the first gym/sport based earphones used, and i can say i will be using these for many many gym sessions to come.
For starters, they pair up very easily and are easy to remove and place inside their case, the case itself is also very slick and easy to carry around, it does have weight to it, but considering the battery life, it makes sense.
As stated they last for a very long time, iv been using them for about 2 weeks now, on avg 3-4 times a week for about an hour each time, and iv yet to need to charge the case.
Sound quality is excellent for music, video and audio books, noise cancelling is very nice, i cant comment on the mic as i prefer to maintain using my phone for that, but i really cant fault the audio quality.
Now my only issue is comfort, they do seat quiet well in your ears once you get it right,
but id of preffered a more solid sillicon ear hook as i struggle to tell if iv mounted it properly as they are a bit squishy, which sometimes leads to me having to re-seat the sillicon hook, the sillicon buds are fine though, and just take you finding the right size for your ear.
Overall, sound quality is great, connectivity is great, battery life is great and for the price its hard to say no
Pros:
– varying size rubber padding for fitting different ears
– reasonable noise blocking
– no issues with battery, though I can’t see a reason to need 100hrs ever; my phone can barely manage 12
Cons:
– Audible static
– Audio is relatively low fidelity at all frequencies
These are fine for a walk around the arboretum, for listening to a podcast while doing preparing meals, or for drowning out echoes in the gymnasium.
Great battery, nice fit into ears and good sound. Issue is I thought mics would pick up my voice for video chats etc but doesn’t seem to be the case, best off buying other models with 6 mics if you’d like to chat. Had an issue listening to music through both headphones when the case wasn’t present to reset / re-pair them but no problems otherwise.
These are good value, sound great and are comfortable. They don’t have volume control.
I’m reviewing these after using them for 4 days. I’ve always had problems with ear buds, they either fall out or they are uncomfortable and hurt after a while. I saw these and thought I’d give them a go and my word I am so impressed. Firstly with the soft silicone wings these things stay put and secondly I’ve had these in my ears for a few hours at a time and they do not hurt my ears like others do, in fact I can hardly feel them. The sound quality on these are absolutely superb, I have these connected to my Sony High Resolution Media Player and when I listen to high res music it is such a joy. Honestly would recommend these buds to anyone looking for a comfortable fit and good sound quality without paying a lot of money. Just get them.
Finally got descent pair or ear buds at 35. Sounds positively surprised me. Seat in ear we’re well doesn’t fall out. Charging case bit too bulky. Magnet is a bit too strong and difficult to grab it to pull out but I can get used to it. only left to see how long it is going to last.
Very good product. Don’t need to charge the pod for weeks on end and I use these headphones A LOT!! Even the earphones don’t need much charging, can easily last a few hours.
Fits perfectly, does sport, running, spinning, cleaning house and does not fall out.
Cancels most noise. If someone talks to me, I do need to take them out to hear them, even if no music is playing.
Only downside is that people can’t always hear me when talking to them on the phone. And there are no controls to turn the music down or up or to skip songs . This needs to be done on the phone.
From the moment I took them out the charging case and put them in my ear I absolutely loved these earbuds.
I’d like to make it known I’m not an audiophile or anything when it comes to sound and sound products but as an average everyday guy these are an amazing set of earbuds, they sit in my ear very comfortably and even if they didn’t they come with a very large variety of ear tips and wing tips to change suited to your ears.
From what I’ve experienced the sound itself is also really good for the price, they aren’t the loudest and probably not the best but for the price they are ABSOLUTELY worth every penny, and the long lasting battery life is so good for long work days and workouts.
5 Stars!
I bought these to replace some earbuds that I had lost and so far I am reasonably pleased. The only negative is that I’ve had to reconnect with my Bluetooth on a couple of occasions. Sound quality is good for the price
Really good earphones for the money. Very comfortable with lots of fitting accessories. They block out noise nicely although not noise cancelling earphones. Once in your ear they just do not move. Volume could be a little louder for me. Plenty of bass. Slight downfall there is no equaliser at all so the sound from them is all you get.
All in all this is a great earphone for the money and probably one of the best at this price point. Big plus is the 100hr charging case. Quite a heavy case but I take it that’s because of the battery in the case. Absolutely no connection issues with my 12 pro. Great.
I purchased these earbuds for use while running, as a corded set of earphones kept falling out and were affected by the wind. Not wanting to spend too much, as I was not sure how well they would work, I looked at reviews of numerous earbuds and settled for these. I’m very pleased that I did.
The quality appears excellent, they hold their charge for many hours, they stay in my ears, and best of all the sound quality is great.
A happy customer.
Having small ears is problematic for finding in ear buds these are very comfortable don’t move at all, the noise cancelling is great and sound quality is awesome I like my music loud and these don’t disappoint worth the money proving you don’t need to spend a fortune to get decent earbuds.
I Like the fit and they would be good for training.
The Bluetooth cut out once or twice.
Also the Bluetooth connectivity is alright on most devices but didn’t connect on every device straight away.
The only bad thing about this bud is the phone calling. The person on the other side cant hear me sometimes but they do hear the side noises and all
1 star off for that. Other then that awesome product.
Honestly I’m not an audiophile so judging the sound quality may not be fair. But I like the sound it’s quite bass heavy I feel but for a set of earbuds for working out that’s not such a bad thing.
The most standout thing to me is that the case is quite large. Certainly not really good for putting in your pocket. But in a bag it’s fine, the tradeoff here is you get great battery life so I think it’s worth it. Also, I was very pleased with how snug they fit. I didn’t have to experiment with different sized tips and wings but I have been trashing my head side to side and up and down and they do not come loose at all, very impressed!
5 stars. Forgot one bud in my shirt pocket, it went through a wash (30 degrees if you are interested) and it was just fine. I’m impressed.
Also they sound good (I use them 95% of the time to listen to podcasts and audiobooks) and last a long time out of their box – so much so that I often leave the box at home and keep one in a pocket when I need to keep an ear out for the world… hence the above mishap.
Spend some time on the right wing/bud selection and it will never fall out.
I am listen to rock/metal music. The lows are really punchy (kickdrums) the high-mids (guitar solos) and the highs (hi-hat, ride etc.) are very clear. The low mids (bass guitar, rhythm guitar) are weak by default, so you need to do some adjustments in the EQ of your audio player.
Only flaw with this is the audio doesn’t stop when you remove it from your ear like the galaxy buds, other than that sounds decent with regards to calls, can’t fault these when listening to music and only charged the case once in a few months, would recommend if your wanting cheaper alternatives to airpods or the likes
I own several Anker/Soundcore products and as my current earbuds no longer charge up properly. I initially was going to buy an identical set, which have lasted for over three years. Then, I came across these Anker Life Dot 2 earbuds and saw that continuous play was 8hrs, with its charging case that lasted 100hrs, which impressed me and so, I bought a set.
They came nicely packaged, as all Anker products do. They instantly paired to my iPhone 11 Pro and so, had a listen to various genres of music to see how they sounded. The sound is very clear with excellent Treble and Midrange but the Bass wasn’t as deep as I expected, although you can add bass by using your iPhone music settings.
Then I thought, as I have Anker/Soundcore speakers and can adjust the equalisation with the Anker/Soundcore app, I attempted to add my earbuds to my Anker/Soundcore devices but sadly, even though these earbuds were produced a year ago, the app does not support them. A bad move by Anker/Soundcore. They allow Life Dot 2 NC and Life Dot 2 XP but not these. Therefore, this reduces me to only giving 4 Stars for this disappointment.
For:
Nice snug fitting and don’t move about when you’re walking.
8hrs continuous play
Doesn’t leak external sound in.
Fast charging
Nicely designed charging case.
Against:
Lacking Bass
Unable to add to my Soundcore app of devices.
When i first tried these on i thought i had made a mistake…but, i was so so sooo wrong! These are by far the best headphones i’ve ever had! Noise is rich, loud, and an absolutely fantastic bassline. I bought these in December 2020 and all is very very good so far. I’d definitely buy agai
If you want high quality sound, then not these. If you want a great earbuds for exercise which don’t fall out and which provide perfectly good sound quality for both music and speaking on an iPhone, then these are the boys! They are certainly better than another brand I purchased previously at 3x the price and had to return as they kept on falling out during exercise and then the left earbud stopped synching with Bluetooth; all within a week.
This is far cheaper than many branded earphones but does the job equally well. I use this for phone calls mainly but also listen to a bit of music. For the calls I can’t fault them, but the sound quality when listening to music isn’t the best. It’s just OK. Value for money though, they are great.
I primarily use these whilst running, and they are the first earbuds I’ve had which actually stay securely in your ears.
I must have odd shaped inner ears as other models which I’ve used simply do not feel secure when I’m running.
These however are fantastic. They do not budge, and the sound quality is excellent.
They pair with my Android phone easily and battery life is good.
I’m very pleased with these along with the Anker brand.
Excellent sound, good bass, the battery life is insane, I’ve used these for hours daily and not had to charge the dock. Only negative might be the slightly short range or the blue light that randomly appears (I think if you loose connection or the media is paused) which in the dark is like a police siren. The fit is great and comes with many different sizes, never have they fallen out of my ears yet, though I haven’t excercised with them for any long periods.
Over the last few months, due to Covid, we’ve tried a LOT of headphones. Personally, I go for Sennheiser, but the last set that I tried really annoyed me (Momentum true Wireless)
We’ve had/tried Enacfire E90, E60, E20, E18, G20 and more, but the new headphones aren’t available in the U.K. Then there’s the EKSA gaming headsets, Soundcore life Q20, Sennheiser HD 4.40, Sennheiser PXC 550 and finally the Sennheiser Momentumn true Wireless
This time, however, it was time to move from Enacfire to Anker for my own home pods. Yep, they’re pretty damn nice. Straight from the box/charger they sounded absolutely fantastic. No issues with instant pairing to two devices and hopefully there will be no random battery loss (I’m looking at you Momentum True wireless!)
Unless Enacfire release their new sets, I’ll be buying Anker from this point forward, for the people in work.
Additionally, they’re louder than other sets! They’re also NOT supported in the Anker app. Shame.
Had these a few months. Not the comfiest but they stay in! Use these to sleep listening to podcasts/ meditation. Reluctant to wear my AirPod pros to bed so went for a cheaper alternative and these just fit the bill well. Suppose I need to just adjust the ear pieces and try different ones to get comfort right.
I seem to be becoming a Soundcore Fan Boy at this point as already owning the Motion Plus and Spirit X2. I do find Soundcore reliable and excellent value. After experimenting with the different combination of wing tips and ear buds I managed to find the perfect fit both for keeping them in my ears and sound quality. I use them when I’m taking my dog for a walk and like all the Soundcore products I own I find them comfortable and excellent sound at this price point. Perhaps my only regret is that I wish I had coughed up a bit more for the NC version after seeing El Jeff’s review on YouTube. But this pair I would still recommend.
I use them to listen to music when running and to make phone calls.. So far they seem to be reliable with no tone breaking. The bas could be better which would improve the quality. My experience is so far – so good. After all for the money they cost they are a very good basic head buds.
I bought these earbuds and have been using them . They are very good, the sound quality is excellent and volume control is also good. They are very practical. However, I am not sure about the battery life as I have had a few issues with them before. I had to send them back twice to get a replacement. I find that the right side drains quicker than the left. I was told by the customer service advisor that as the default masterpiece, the right earbud drains the battery quicker than the left earbud does as it transfers the signal to the left earbud from the connected devices. I think that kind of make sense now. I must say that I was very impressed by their customer service, the guy who dealt with this issue was very good, helpful and understanding . He kept me informed at all time which was very reassuring. He did everything he could to help resolve this issue . I was refunded my postage both times which was really nice of them to do. I got lucky the 3rd time as the earbuds are working well for the moment. The only thing that is still bugging me is the battery life but we’ll see what happens as I carry on using them . I must ask if anybody happened to have the same issue while using these earbuds please?? I will recommend this product.
Ordered and delivered the same day. I’m always wary of these kind of headphones, so I did my research before hand, and took an educated Gamble on them. I have to say these are quite nicely made, comes with alot of sized ear buds, and the case is heavy but neat and tidy. Sound quality is actually very good for such small things, bass is pretty on par with my Phillips wireless bass headphones. Very comfortable too, as they sit in nicely when twisted and locked in. Great buy
I wanted some good but relatively inexpensive in ear truly wireless earphones. After a bit of googling as to what was best for the budget I wanted to spend these came up.
Wow! The sound is amazing! The bass is awesome and being sweat proof i could use them for running with no issues. The battery life is also really good with 100 hours of playback through the charging case.
I highly recommend these for excellent budget friendly earphones!
Took me quite a while to find the perfect fitment of silicone cups to my ears. Worryingly they dropped out of my ears whilst walking and thought I’d lost one after a day. Once I mastered the perfect fit not only to they stay put but sound really good. Not convinced to go running in them and will stick with my other Anker headphones which have over the ear clips. The charging pod and design are excellent and they always just clip in and charge. Highly recommended once fitment mastered.
Bought as a backup pair of buds for my Sony XM3’s, these buds had a lot to live up to, but are now my go to’s.
Build quality is excellent, on a par with the Sony. Battery life is excellent, I’m getting about 7.5 hrs before they need recharging. The battery in the case easily charges the buds 8-10 times, so even with all day use you’ll easily get the best part of 2 weeks out of a fully charged case. There’s a selection of buds in the kit along with different sizes of “wings” that help hold the buds in place, and a charging cable (USB C type). The design of these means theyre fairly flat in that they don’t really stick out of your ears making them comfortable to wear to bed /sleep in. They also stay put once in so I can happily take a walk without constantly poking them back in or worrying about losing one.
Sound wise they are pretty good once you’ve used them a few hours. Initially I found them a little tinny but with use the drivers have opened up and the bass is now coming through nicely. I can’t say how they work for phone calls as I haven’t tried them for that.
The buds have the usual stop / pause / back /skip control using a click button rather than a touch pad. What is lacking though is volume control which you need to use your device to adjust, not really a deal breaker for me.
Overall they’re very good and well worth the money.
4/5 – lose 1 star as there’s no volume control. I’m not bothered by that but others may be.
Pros:
-Value for money
-Excellent sound quality given their size
-Earbuds can be used independently of each other (both earbuds have microphones)
-Battery life is impressive for the size
-Case is of a reasonable size
-Stay put even during brutal workouts (hiit/running)
-Silicone padding comes in different sizes
Cons:
-No volume control
-No mute option on earbuds
-Microphone quality not the best
Overall an excellent purchase, for this price point these earbuds are well worth it, don’t see how you could get much better even with bose/jabra/jbl earbuds for that price. 5/5 would recommend. If you’re looking for a value for money option mostly to listen to music/podcast and workout without being too bothered by the microphone quality then they’re the ideal pair!
I’ve bought lots of different buds over the last few years but never any anker ones, for some reason I had it in my head that they could make brilliant speakers but that doesn’t mean they make brilliant buds. These are BY FAR the bst buds I’ve ever used, as reliable as my anker soundcore speaker I’ve had for 5 years. I charge the case about once a month, I never need to take the case anywhere with me since the buds will last by themselves.
Great set of headphones, I’ve always been wary of getting a set of truly wireless in ear headphones but these are rock solid and I’ve had no problems with them falling out at all. Sound quality is fine, sounds good to me but I’m not a real audiophile so might miss something. Only slight niggle is that my fingers can’t seem to work the volume adjustment on the headphones themselves so I use the volume button on the phone. Bluetooth connection with my phone has been rock solid as well, no issues with connecting at all. These are so good a bought a second pair for my son.
I can’t live without them. After trying a few budget friendly wireless earbuds, with no success, I tried these and fell in love. They may have one or two incredibly miner issues but they are absolutely worth more than they cost. The battery is amazing, I rarely find myself charging the case. I highly recommend these. I’ve had these nearly three months and I can’t fault them, they go every where with me.
Anker makes wonderful products and I can say these meet the standard Anker has set for themselves.
I yearly recommend.
I was a little sceptical going from the Dre Powerbeats 3s, I wanted something true wireless and more in-ear as the hook kept getting stuck on my mask! Bought these, and have not been disappointed.
Sound quality is good, plenty of depth, Bass is decent, not fantastic. These cannot be used with the Soundcore app, but most phones will have thier own sound settings/equaliser.
In terms of fit, I tried these out the box and they fit perfectly, snug as a bug. I’m not sure they have noise cancellation but I cannot hear anything else at all while they’re in.
Bluetooth has good range, I can walk around most of my home without and breaks/skips, I’m sure this will also depend on the connected device.
There is no volume control on the ear pieces, only play, skip and pause, there is also no on/off on them, they simply turn off when put back inside the case, and turn on/auto connect to the most recently connected device.
Battery life is AMAZING, around 8 hours on a single charge, the case holds a whopping 100 hours, but because of this, is slightly on the bigger side, but if you’re like me and always carry a bag, this won’t be an issue.
Charger is USB C connection which is handy as most android phones have this connection now, as well some Apple devices.
All in all, for 46, can you really complain!?
When I read that these would last 100 hours I was sceptical.
My brother had just bought the Sony w800 headphones and they have a battery life of around 45hours.
As someone who is nearly always listening to music but loves a bargain, I saw the price of these compared to the sony ones and thought I’d take the risk.
So glad I did as the genuinely last for about the 100 hours they have claimed!
The sound quality is actually really good and they are easy to control.
The only negative I could offer is the lack of volume control as volume can only be controlled by the device connected.
Another feature that impressed me is the individual ability so you can use either headphone individually (which some total wireless ones don’t).
To sum up good sound quality, comfortable fit, more than a fair price and the most ridiculously long battery life I have ever seen!!!!
These things have hardly left my ears since getting them. Had a Philips pair last month – hopeless – wouldn’t stay in ear. Connections sometimes dodgy. Returned. These Soundcore ones are excellent. Not just excellent for the money. Just excellent. I also have a set of Anker Soundbuds Curve that have been fine – just the link wire between the buds was annoying. But these Anker Soundcores are the biz. The Earwings are absolutely great, when you get the right combination of earwing and bud size. I’ve fallen asleep with these, and they’re still there in morning. Have never experienced that with any earphones ! They connect easily to iPhone 8. Sound quality is very good. Decent bass even. Incredible little package. Just buy them. You won’t be disappointed. As you might be able to tell – I’m delighted with these ! Soundcore/Anker make well thought out, well manufactured kit. End of !
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the sound produced by these in ear pods. The bass is just as I like it, deep and thumpy, the high end, clear and sharp. After testing a few within this price range, these were reduced on the black Friday sales and were well worth the investment.
Only downside is they’re not as loud as I would like and have to set the volume at over three quarters where with my wired ear pods it’s at the same level at just under half way. The battery life seems to go on forever.. Not really used them for over a couple of hours yet.
Many reviews have commented on the size of case and charger but I like it’s slight bulk as I know it’ll give me a few more charges to the pods.. Excellent buy and regarding fitting, they stay in my ears while cycling, running and come with various sized fitments.
45! What a bargain! Sound quality is good (well I couldn’t tell otherwise). For well and have never fallen out of thrashed about! A mate of mine bought them first and dropped one on a field! Lost it for a whole week in the pouring rain. When she found it again a week later it worked with no issues at all! Tough little ear buds and all for 45!
Review one week in… this is my first venture into Bluetooth earbuds so I don’t have anything to compare them to other than years of using mid-range wired sets.
Early impressions are that they deliver excellent sound, volume is not an issue and they are incredibly simple to use. I didn’t bother with the quickstart guide but simply added them to my phones Bluetooth devices and they connected.
I can’t comment on battery life as I haven’t charged the case yet but I’m sure it will be good, bigger to carry but with more power packed in it’s exactly what I need.
The buds fit well and I’m just enjoying finally being free of tangled cables and able to access all the audio options on my phone from music on the micro sd, Amazon music, YouTube, radio, podcasts
Sound quality is great. Bass is deep, but not too deep and the depth is great value for money.
The case is a little bulky compared to other brands, but it does however offer a lot more battery life at up to 10 hours. So bonus points for that.
They fit perfectly into my ears without the aid of the other moulds provided in the box and are not too bulky in my ear.
The only downside is there is no app to change the sound to your liking.
I got my partner a pair of earbuds for over 100 a year ago, and these seem just as good.
Absolutely amazing , easy to use, small size with long lasting battery, I bought them for work often use in single mode. Over 4 weeks had one problem when earbuds were still playing music after put to the charging case, had to reset them and work fine afterwards.
These buds are really good and I’m happy with my purchase. I’ve used them on and off for over a month and they last long. I previously had some Boltune earphones but they didn’t fit well. The sound quality is good and clear and also great for calls too and work without issues. The build quality is also good, I accidentally dropped the case with the buds in down the stairs and onto a hardwood floor and they don’t have any issues it still charges well and quality of the buds are good.
These Anker earphones fit well and stay in your ears. I even used these on a run and it was great they stayed in my ears the whole time without having to push them in to stay in my ears.
The only issue I have is that sometimes when opening the case the earphones don’t connect straight away. 2-3 times out of 10 I have to check my Bluetooth settings. But generally they connect well. The other issue is that there’s no volume control but it’s not something which is important for me.
Overall 9/10 I’m happy with my purchase and I’m enjoying the earbuds.
What a Surprise! I have an Airpod Generation 1 which I am using for 2 years until the right earphone stop working so I decided to buy one which is cheaper and Im disappointed for the sound quality! Then it op out on my amazon account this Anker Soundcore Life Dot 2 which is. on sale so I decided to try it and oh boy I was not disappointed and the sound quality is much better to the previous onei am using!! Highly Recommended!! Go and buy one!! …. From a happy costumer!!!
I like that I can go at least a week without charging the case.
I like that I can use 1 earpiece at a time.
I like that I can operate it hands free – listen to music without reaching for my phone or swap to phone calls. I like the range on it – crystal clear even when I’m physically away from my phone.
I like the sound quality especially listening to music.
I don’t like that it sometimes drops out of my ear even with the smallest size buds.
I don’t like that sometimes people struggle to hear me on the other side – they complain about my voice being faint.
I don’t like that the case is bulky and very heavy. It is not easy to carry around unless you have a big bag.
I have the infamous S2 earbuds, these were quite popular last year because you got a decent bang for your buck sound quality but the pairing was awful because you had to do it every time!
Thankfully these automatically connect to your iPhone as soon as you take them out from the case and you can continue with what you want to listen to without interruption.
The sound quality is also better. When I tried the ankers I noticed in certain songs I was picking up other musical instruments that I didn’t with the S2 because the base was too muddy.
Regarding the bass, it’s about 25% less than my S2’s but not in a bad way. I listen to indy rock and dance music with no issues and the detail is more dynamic so that a good thing in my books.
Fit is really good too, it slots in really well and never felt they would drop out.
I would recommend this to anyone that wants decent earbuds at an amazing price!
I have been holding off buying a set of Bluetooth earbuds for a while now as they all looked to stick out of the ear too much and just look aesthetically out of place in my opinion.
The only style of wireless earbud i have considered is like the Samsung Galaxy buds but as they are so expensive i was not wiling to take the chance on them.
I have been using Anker products for years now and not having any problems with them so when i spotted the Anker Life Dot 2 for sale at under half the price and were similar in style to the Galaxy buds i thought i would give them a try.
Up until now i have had the impression that wired earbuds were far superior to any wireless one’s but after using these Life Dot 2’s for a bit i no longer feel that way. Bluetooth technology has come a long way since i last used it for audio/music as it now appears to be more crisp and clear.
Honestly i am really impressed with the Anker Life Dot 2’s. They deliver crisp highs with a decent level of lows. The bass won’t blow your ears off but it is more than enough for in-ear buds. There doesn’t seem to be an app to fine tune them but you can just use the equaliser on the music app you use on your mobile phone if you need to. There is also no volume control on them but at this price point i can handle that to be honest.
My only disappointment is within less than 12hrs after i ordered my Life Dot 2’s they went on sale on Amazon with around 20% off the price i payed.
Great little piece of tech for under 50. The feel for these are great they don’t feel flimsy or cheap in make. You can tell they have been made with thought ergonomically and aesthetically for the best optimal use as great sounding earbuds.
The fit is super comfy and secure. I shook my head around and bounced around and they didn’t move. There are additional ‘wings’ and earbud sizes if need be. Pairing was super quick and easy with clear instructions. Finally, the sound quality is totally amazing pretty much noise cancelling for 50 product. Obviously there are alot better noise cancelling devices out there but for this price, these are by far well worth your money.
Also, a cool feature is that you can use both earbuds or just the one as you please with no changes with functionality or performance. Only negative thing is that you cannot change the volume using the earbuds. You must use your phone to do so.
The charging dock the buds come in is a little heavy but to me that means higher quality and durability but don’t go throwing it across the room to test.
Battery life is also really really great as mentioned on the description.
Overall 4.8/5
When used with my phone, they sound great. But when I use them with anything which doesnt have an equaliser, they are pretty much run of the mill. They lack bass, and a decent mid-range, although very clear. If they could have just that little more bass of their own accord, it would have been 5*.
These earbuds are a high quality item, and superb value. I bought these to replace some Enacfire G20 earbuds which stopped working after a month. The difference in quality is night and day. They feel much more solid, the way they snap into the case feels really secure, and 100 hours of playback time!
The silicone fittings are really comfortable and the fit is superb, they don’t budge at all during exercise, so no need to keep readjusting them.
As for the sound quality these are unbelievable, the bass is really deep without losing detail in the mids and highs. They sound spacious, crisp and clear, and far exceed my expectations. These are in a different class to the enacfire ones I sent back.
There are some things to consider, they have physical buttons rather than touch sensitive. I prefer this as it reduces the chance of accidently skipping a track, or hanging up a call which picking them up. Also some people might not like the absence of volume control on the headphones. I havn’t found this to be a big issue because I can easily control the volume from my phone. Also the advantage is that the controls are more streamlined and simpler to use, rather than trying to cram too many functions into one button like on most other units.
Overall these are excellent and way beyond anything else I have seen at the price. If you want a pair of earbuds that won’t budge when you’re out jogging then these are a great choice.
