This product worked really well to reduce the fruit flies in my house. It was so easy to use, and within minutes I noticed the flies starting to head towards the trap. They do like to hover around the bottle without actually going in for a while, but eventually they do! It has been 3 days now and I think we’re finally all clear of the little buggers!! In terms of the product, you probably could make it yourself but I don’t have the time or energy for that so this is perfect for me. Definitely give this a try if you have an infestation!

Flies sit on the rim for a while and eventually decide to go in. As a test we had two dishes, one of these and another bowl with cider vinegar (with a little washing up liquid mix and cling film) – both had the same number of flies in them after 24 hours. So it works fine and much neater than having an untidy bowl. Recommended.

Been dealing with a fruit fly problem with a little while. No amount of cleaning seemed to stop them, was using raid fly spray on a regular basis but that wasn’t getting all of them. Finally gave in and ordered these, and in about 10 hours my kitchen is pretty much fly-free again.

The trap has apple cider vinegar which attracts them, you have to make sure to shake it and then wipe down the funnel, or else the flies either won’t smell it properly, or if its on the funnel will have no reason to go into the liquid below. So that’s important to note

Within about 1-2 minutes of putting this out it had attracted a ton of flies, which you can see in the video. Took quite a while for them to start going inside the trap, but you just have to be patient and leave the area for a bit and they will start going in. Won’t let me post a picture of the flies at the bottom, but there’s an entire layer of flies at the bottom and plenty of room for any more that get attracted. Trap lasts for 3 weeks and given what it’s done for me in 10 hours since putting it up, its well worth i

Good thing about these fly traps is they did attract them and they killed quite a few, but these traps only last about three weeks and then they stop attracting them. Had to keep topping them up with cider vinegar to keep catching them. But I probably would buy them again.

At first I thought they sucked but I was wrong changed their positions a little to wherever the fly grouped up.
The won’t jump in straight away but give it time. They work

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGot this product only yesterday, I placed it in three places where there is infestation of food flies. It started working within few hrs. I can see food flies sitting on the top of the small bottle and can see dead food flies at the bottom of the small bottle that means it’s actually trapping them. The amount of food flies has reduced now.

The liquid inside is Apple cider vinegar with small drop of dish washing liquid. Which we can do at home too. But this small bottle is easy to use and with its sticky back it can be placed anywhere. No spillage. When it runs out of liquid, I am going to reuse this bottle again filling my own liquid if at all the flies exist.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI had a swarm of fruit flys for week this summer. No matter what i did i couldn’t get rid of them. Weeks this drove me crazy. Eventually purchased these bad boys. I placed one near my fruit bowl an one near my kitchen bin. Arroved in the mid afternoon and placed immediatly. Less than 30 mins and they was attracted to the traps. More and more coming over the course of the day. It was hard to tell how many were perched and how manu getting trapped. But by thr next morning, not a single fruit fly in sight. Its been another day or two and still nothing. And believe me we had loads. Very impressed. Highly recommend. I will be purchasing again if ever there is another infestion in the future. Also the adhesive is good. Not budged from the kitchen tiles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutley brilliant.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI tried a homemade version before trying this and it caught about 6 flies in 3 days. Then I tried this it took about five days to clear up all the flies about 40 in total. It’s a tiny bottle with a funnel shape at the top to trap flies in. And it has a sticky back so you can stick it to the side of a bin. This definitely worked better than homemade for me, so it was worth the price although I do think it’s quite expensive for such a small bottle. If I tried home made again I would try a higher sugar percentage to the mix making it 50/50 to the vinegar as that might attract flies more. Unlike homemade this fly trap doesn’t give off any noticeable smell so is fine to have in the living room by the fruit bowl.

I tried a lot of at home hacks.
Moved into a new flat for the summer and kept noticing little fruit flies around my room.
Got these today, had a nap (2h) and woke up to all the fruit flies captured.
Definitely worth getting and you can even refill them yourselves so handy little tubs.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis little pot is absolutely fantastic. I had a big problem with fruit flies because of pets that have fruit and veg in bowls.
Within a couple of minutes they where drawn to it, after a few days it had caught loads of them and continues to attract them. I’ve not seen a fly all week. Can’t recommend this enough, I’ll definitely be buying them regularly over the summer, well worth the price and they’re small enough that can be hidden/not an eye sore.

Bought some at the tail end of last summer and again this year.

It was kinda astonishing how many tiny fruit flies and critters it catches. It would be nice if there was a way to re-use the bottle and fill with apple juice&vinegar, still to fiddle with one and find out.

Tried this for the first time above my gecko vivarium. First time using this type of product – it was extremely effective. Took about a day for flies to start noticing. As soon as they got the scent…they were all inside and gone within a few days, and have stayed away. Only downside – the sticky backing is not strong to hold it, so left it free standing

I hate killing anything but these are a real nuisance. I have a mesh fruit bowl with a lid, which helps deter the pesky critters but I also have plants indoors, which seem to encourage them. But this actually works – they haven’t all gone yet, but are certainly diminishing. I will update review and hopefully give it one more star!

Got these fruit fly ‘traps’ having high hopes for them. Although nothing happened for over a week (the flies were even crawling round the top then flying off) and I almost gave up hope, they did start to attract them. In fact I did end up with a fly soup! I have ordered more for this summer. Just had them next to the fruit bowl/food bin – didn’t use the sticky tabs.

These things are extremely effective! Every fruit fly in the house was caught within two days and there must be 30-50 of them trapped dead at the bottom of my two little vinegar wells. Amazing! The only drawback is that the adhesion to walls is not great. Both traps fell off the walls within 12 hours and spilled liquid all over the counter. Luckily they were still around half full and still did the job! Just put them on the counter and they’ll work fine. Don’t stick them up!

  17. JeanninA35 says:

It works unbelievably well. Make sure to give it ~3 days to start working and do not move it so the smell concentrates in that area. Try not to leave any food out so the flies have nothing else to feed on.

I would’ve added a photo of an orgy of fruit flies and their dead bodies swimming in this thing if it wasn’t for Amazon asking to see my entire photo album & permission to access camera just to get that one photo.

10/10. This is really really effective man.

These are absolutely brilliant. I didn’t think they was going to work because they’re small. But they did, I put one in the kitchen and in the morning the bottle had so many fruit flies in it. It did take a few days for my kitchen to be absolutely clear of fruit flies there was the odd few flying around for a day or so. But now there’s none in sight.
They’re are pretty expensive because the pots are small. But they’re powerful and worth every penny.
They last 3 weeks too. So I will leave one out just incase.

Now I’m not a fan of killing any living creature but unfortunately I get quite a few fruit flies round my little compost tub in the kitchen (no matter how frequently I empty it which is most frustrating!!). My preference is to open the window and usher them out but overnight they seem to be some kind of SAS Ninja fruit flies that sneak back in and hide in an invisible part of my kitchen and appear the following morning!
I’ve tried the sticky catchers and although they catch a few, they are nowhere near as effective as this little bottle. It’s discreet, inoffensive and a superb little buy. I’ve stuck it next to the compost bin and the huge reduction in the little blighters is evident.
It took a couple of days (no idea why) but it’s captured quite a few now. It’s been stuck on there for a good few weeks now and the adhesive is strong and it’s stayed put. I’ll be replacing it with a fresh one soon.

I bought these thinking I’ll buy them and see if they work to kill off my fruit flies that have infested my living room for quite a while after buying a plant from a supermarket.
I tried everything to get rid of them from sticky fly paper to a UV zapper!
After just one day all these traps have loads of fruit flies in them and there are none flying about now!
I can’t believe they worked so well!
    110% recommended!

Bought these because the fruit flies seemed to get exponentially worse this year. So many reviews made it seem like the perfect solution and super fast. While it is easy to use, I didn’t have the ‘OMG WOW’ experience that others did. It’s been a couple days. And yes, the fruit fly population is severely down. And yes, the traps caught quite a few. But for some reason, not all fruit flies were attracted to this. So it gets a 4/5 because it is easy to use overall, and it does work (slowly). But definitely isn’t a miracle solutio

This is brilliant. I researched this a lot and decided to give this a go. I was concerned at the level of the flies near my cats food. She wasn’t eating and I was worried the flies had something to do with it. I used the sticky patch to stick it above her food. However, the next day I came down to either it falling off or the cat having pulled it off! There was product all around her food. I was a bit worried but she was absolutely fine. I moved it further away on a shelf and it did the job. I would definitely recommend and buy it agai

After 24hrs, no flies went in it. In fact at one point there were 3-4 on the rim and they all seemed to decided to go elsewhere.

It took about 4 days or so for it to really start catching loads. I also had to put up sticky fly tape traps for the others that weren’t near it, specifically the bigger ones.

  24. Aaron Kim says:

Lots of fruit flies have gone into the trap, you can see them at the bottom. Obviously takes time for them to find it and choose that over any fruit. Overall it DOES catch them (and they can’t come out)

I was sceptical as to whether these traps would work or not but they have far surpassed any expectations. Having removed the source of my fruit fly infestation I needed a way to eradicate the remaining flies and these traps do just that. Within five minutes of placing the product on my kitchen side (remember to shake well and dry the funnel before use) the flies gathered around the bottle in numbers. At first they may appear hesitant to enter the trap, but leave the trap out overnight and by morning you will see just how effective these traps are. Superb product would buy agai

  26. Anonymous says:

This trap was VERY attractive to the fruit flies.

You have to be a bit patient, as you look over and see something like 5 of them just sitting around at the top of the funnel, and you have to wait for them to go down into the trap usually when you’re not looking, but if you leave it long enough, you will find a lot of dead ones at the bottom.

As per my review title, it did fall off the cupboard where I stuck it after a few hours, but fortunately I could still use it and I just left it standing on the counter top.

It took me a few days to get rid of the flies / stop seeing them, but during that time the smell didn’t dissipate and the trap was still effective. I’ve still left it on the side to try and trap any stragglers that may have been missed in the original purge.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this after seeing it at my workplace in the dining area so I inquired about it and was told it’s very useful. So bought 2 one by the fruit bowl on the wall in the kitchen and the other by the bin. Effective to a point I only see the odd fly from time to time. Happy with my purchase.

I have purchased this item twice now, the first time was for a genuine infestation, we couldn’t access the kitchen anymore because a black cloud of thousands of fruit flies were just in every corner, cupboard, and crack and they just kept breeding. I purchased this to help deal with it after spraying two full bottles of fly killer and seeing it do very little to the overall population. Once I purchased this and set both of them up in different hotzones in the kitchen it took about 4 days before almost all of them were gone, and about 6 days until we had nothing left.

Second purchase was recently, parents had a fruit fly issue as they started making wine. They set these up in two different rooms and about 3 days later there are none left.

I have purchased fruit fly traps in the past but none have been as effective as this.

    I highly recomend it!

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersPlagued all summer with tiny fruit flies in kitchen. This teeny bottle did exactly what it says. Dis gusting to look at as it filled but as it’s so small you have to hold it up to light to see just how many fruit flies it’s trapped. Looked like hundreds, surely couldn’t be in such a very small container.
Make sure you keep the lid to dispose of bottle when it’s used up.
It may only last 3 weeks but it’s sorted my problem.

Arrived promptly. This concoction attracts fruit flies which subsequently fall into the liquid & die. We left our two bottles, one near the fruit bowl, the second adjacent to the food recycling bin. Over a fortnight the bottles collected at least 100 flies.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve been plagued by annoying fruit flies and it doesn’t matter what I tried to get rid of them, they insisted on living. Rude.
I bought this as a last ditched attempt before blowtorching the kitchen and I have to say, it really did the trick! It took about 2-3 days but it’s done exactly what it said it would do. There are still one or two flying around, I can only surmise that they saw the fate that befell their mates and decided to stay away from the bottle of death but I’ll manage to kill them okay – or my cat will.
All in all an excellent product which was well worth the price. Killed the little *^%#$ and without spraying chemicals all over the kitchen.

I simply received this, opened the lid and placed it on a surface near where the fruit flies were buzzing. Within an hour, the literal cloud of insects that had plagued the room was inside the trap and neutralised. I am so pleased (I also feel terrible for the flies, but hey, it was them or me!). Would recommend if you also have had a strange fly invasion due to the odd weather this year. I have only placed it on a surface and I haven’t stickied it anywhere so sorry I can’t comment on the adhesion.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHad a fruit fly invasion for the past few days (don’t forget about your onions my friends), put two of these out about 6 hours ago and was shocked to find the one had 11 dead flies in the bottom when I just checked it, plus 3 or 4 circling it (honestly I was more icked out by the fact that there had been so many flying around and I hadn’t just been seeing the same few multiple times).

I saw other reviews say on here to wipe the funnel when you first open them as it gets wet in transit so it’s easy for the flies to escape out, definitely recommend doing so.

Put it on the windowsill near where I keep fruit and have had a near complete reduction of this type of fly. You can see many have died in the trap. The key is to interrupt the lifecycle to the point they can’t bounce back. Keeping the second item of the double pack for spring in case there is a resurgence with the season change after winter.

These things genuinely work really well, but you have to do a couple of things to get them to work optimally. Wipe the funnel so the flies don’t chill out on the rim of the funnel. You have to give it a little while for them to actually go in. I can’t believe how many flies we caught it actually grossed me out But better than them buzzing around! Now they can stay off my bananas for good

They really work, but give it time.

We had been infested with fruit fly’s this year, never happened before, hope it never happens again.
These fruit fly traps are unobtrusive, easy to use and start working immediately, within 24 hours there wasn’t a fruit fly to be seen.
The instructions couldn’t be simpler, remove the cap, dry of the funnel trap with a bit of tissue then place or stick, using the double sided sticky tape already on the back of the trap, anywhere in your room.
If you’ve got a fruit fly problem this will solve it.

After two days we have a load of fruit flies captured! Simply took the lid off the bottle and placed near to the food waste bin and it’s attracted most or all of the flies and killed them. We have another bottle near the big general waste bin and it has a similar number of dead flies in it. Really recommend this for a fruit fly problem in your kitchen. Let’s see how it works long term. This works where a fly zapper and Jungle Formula have failed (the flies are too small for the fly zapper, not sure why the jungle formula doesn’t work).

At one point it did fall off but i was able to restick it somewhere else and the adhesive had no problem.
My only other issue was that the funnel ment that the fly could actually go inside and then come back out unharmed so sometimes i have to put a bit of card on top to catch them in there. Either would i would definitely say it works

Superb product. I previously tried various home remedies such as using apple cider vinegar in a bowl and had cleaned everything in
the kitchen but nothing worked. Put one of these out in the morning, by afternoon, the fruit flies had congregated round the rim and by the next morning they were all inside the trap solution. I located in a quieter area so that we wouldn’t disturb them at the congregating stage. Will leave the trap out for a few weeks to make sure but so far they seem to be gone. Adhesion not great – I just sat it on a surface instead.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been trying to tackle fruit flies ever since food recycling “caddies” became a thing. Summer is always plagued in the kitchen by so many little flies hanging around the bin and then the fruit bowl.

Open the bottle, dry the inner yellow funnel with a little paper towel then place the open bottle near the food bin or fruit bowl. Come back in the morning and most of the flies are sitting in the bottom of the bottle, drowned. Sad I know, but a whole lot more hygienic.

This is a non-toxic, food-safe, no-harm mixture of fruit juice, vinegar and soap. I know you could just make some up, but the bottle is very effective with its no-return funnel and it’s very convenient.

Try it, for fruit flies you won’t be disappointed. (Note – it isn’t going to work for larger flies as they simply won’t fit! But the manufacturer is open and honest about that. Back to the fly swat for that one.)

They claimed the kitchen as their own. We were hopeless. We couldn’t move without a swirling assault emerging from the surface and scattering in the air.

But they never anticipated the strength of our allies and the weapons they supplied.

They fell right into our trap. It was carnage. Drowning on their own greed generations were erased in a matter of hours.

We live again, rebuilding to how we once were before the invasion.

Jokes aside, this stuff absolutely did the trick. I was on the brink of completely losing my entire mind.

Read reviews that the adhesive doesn’t work well so we just put them on surfaces out of the way. Also saw reviews that this product doesn’t work, those are absolute crap. 100% works and works quickly. We put out 3 traps and within minutes the wee shits were going inside. Within 48 hours we were in the clear.

I took a photo of the bottom of one to show the result, another one has a similar amount inside and the third has maybe 1/3 the amount of flies in it, however it was placed in an area where a homemade trap was so perhaps they had learned our tactics and avoided it.

Buying another pack so we can get on top of it should this happen before it escalates to save the stress and disgust.

    The turf war is ove

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe first one I stuck up fell down within mins spilling half its contents! The other stuck fine. They were in incredibly effective with the one near my fruit bowl catching around 30 fruit flies within 4 days! I’d previously used things like apple cider vinegar which didn’t work nearly as well.

Very easy to use and the flies that were hovering around the fruit are now gone

Kills most of fruit fly in the dinning. Works well. Occasionally there always be one or two still fly around that is the reason for four stars

Works perfectly after a couple of days, doesn’t stick for more than a day though

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWorked great for a week. Fruit flies were gone after 2 days bit starting to come back after 7. Don’t know if it’s cause there are so many dead flies in the trap.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOur home had been repeatedly infested with fruit flies.
We tried every trick listed by Google, all to little effect.
These Mighty Ninjas are totally effective. All, without the odour of Apple Cider Vinegar.
Be sure to stand bottles (don’t rely on adhesive) on suitable surface and remember to fully dry funnel area with tissue prior to first use. A couple in kitchen and one per infested room.
After 3 weeks (replace lid, if retained and) dispose of.
This is a singularly outstanding product. I don’t usually write reviews, but this product deserves 5*. Improvement to design of adhesive would make this product 5* plus. In interim, just place bottles on surface instead of sticking to wall / fridge etc.
I bought a second box of Mighty Ninjas to distribute to neighbours who were similarly infested.
All reported successful ellimination of pesky fruit flies.

I bought this product out of desperation. I have struggled all summer with fruit flies and they were driving me demented!
Within 2 days of having the bottle next to my fruit bowl the amount of flies caught was unbelievable.
I am now on my 3rd bottle and its still working.

Just as super as the name suggests, went from clouds of fruit flies to none in just over a day after placing both traps on tho of the cupboards in my kitchen (one would of probably done). Highly recommend.

In my fly trapping career, I have applied various methods..from squats, palms and tissues…nothing quite did the job. Until….super ninja. I’ve never experienced such a controlled fly massacre. Nor seen slaughter at this scale with such ruthless efficiency. Kudos to this product for ridding me of the incessant gnarly spawn that I simply could not keep up with. May my rotting fruit be safe from hereon.

One trap to rule them all

I was quite apprehensive after reading the reviews and it did take a few days to start to work but as soon as it did , it was great . I wiped the top of the funnel to make sure it was dry as advised . Will be buying again as they only last around 3 weeks . Stuck to cupboards really easily

Wow. Wasn’t sure how well this would work as we had quite a few fruit flies and the product looked small. Sat both at either end of my kitchen and the flies were instantly attracted, first flies caught within minutes and after a few hours there wasn’t a fly in sigh. Probably close to 100 were caught and after 24 hours the problem was sorted! Would highly recommend this produc

We bought the 4 pack to deal with fruit flies, they’re so annoying to get rid of. Less than 24 hours after putting them out, they’ve caught about 25 and we’re not seeing many flying around now.

Make sure to dry off the little yellow funnel. They do sit on the rim for a while and take a bit of time to work their way in, but if you just leave them be, they eventually go in.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy kitchen was plagued by hundreds of fruit flies I don’t know what had attracted them but fly strips weren’t very helpful, fly spraybin the kitchen meant I had to keep deep cleaning everything still they persisted, bought these little beauties and they worked a charm, see the photos attached this is all within 12 hours. I have two of these and two more on the way.
They stick easily to surface and work brilliantly.
HOWEVER, clean the yellow funnel with kitchen roll, this will make the flies enter the funnel to get to the liquid and then they will get stuck and die. Otherwise they will get some natural juice residues from the rim of the funnel and won’t get trapped.

Genuinely excellent, this worked a charm!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs a fly trap they work great, but dropped a star because of the adhesive. Stayed stuck in place for maybe 3 days then dropped.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBe patient – the flies might gather for a conference around the funnel for hours(see pic 1). Leave the bottle(s) overnight and there’s an empty funnel rim staring back at you.. Did they fly off? Nope, they’re all in the bottom of the bottle! This worked really well for me so I’d recommend it. Fruit flies will find rotting food waste lying in your bin etc and that provides an ideal environment for their eggs.. Lesson learned – I wrap & seal food waste now in empty plastic food packaging..

    Fruit flies gone!

I love these! They really do the trick. If I’m honest I do find them a little expensive for what they are, but they do work. I prefer to buy a few at a time so I get them cheaper. They do stick well, but if you take them off they will re-stick, but not quite as well. Don’t knock them over or you’ll have a puddle of flies.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI am so so pleased that I have found this! After weeks of researching and homemade remedies, I have finally found something that actually works! It’s a very small bottle but my god it works perfect! I had so many fruit flies this summer and when I thought I had got rid of them all, there was always that 1 somewhere that would lay eggs and next thing I know my kitchen is bombarded with them all over again! So I bought this as my last hope before I thought I would need to call pest control and thankfully it worked! I left it out overnight and the next day they were all gone! I’ve seen some reviews where they said the sticky thing didn’t work so I didn’t even try it, I just sat it on my worktop and it still done a brilliant job. God bless whoever created this! (Unfortunately I didn’t think about taking a photo of the end results to upload but I promise it worked) very happy and will definitely buy again if needs to be (hopefully I wouldn’t need to)

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI would have given 5 stars as this usually kills hundreds of the little gits. But my last batch didn’t work as well as it normally does.
I’ll probably buy more, but reckon a free pack from the makers would be am incentive.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDay 1 it was already working as intended however the adhesive failed to work and fell off our kitchen wall and spilled all over our counter. Recommended you just sit it somewhere it won’t get knocked over as the smell is strong and lasts for sometime

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt took a few hours at first they’d just huddle around the rim. Then I wiped the rim down and they would still not go inside so I just left the pot where the flies like being the most – it seemed like no matter how much I clean my blender without causing water damage the flies liked sitting on it. Yuck!! Anyway the next morning they were all stuck inside – well at-least they had a happy death. Just make sure you put it in a place near the flies and not hidden away then it’ll work.

I do think it’s expensive for what it is though but that’s Amazon and next day delivery convenience for you so I don’t mind it. These flies were reallly getting me down so I’m very happy I got these 🙂

    Works

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt dropped off the tiling within 24 hours but still worked just standing there on the side, whistling; so to speak.

I’m plagued with fruit flies every summer; tried home remedies like vinegar, wine. This product wiped out
99% of them overnight. A wonderful product.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThese products do just what’s on the tin! Thanks to a child related forgotten lunchbox incident we found ourselves with some new house guests lots of new house guests. It turns out fruit flies really like fruit (odd that). After trying to move them on by wafting tea towels around and smacking everything with a note pad, we decided to move onto something more evidence based and less harmful to ornaments.

I can smell the vinegar but when compared to being landed on by flies all day this was a minor complaint. Within a week our visitors had lessoned in number. Within 2 weeks the contents looked a little grim but were still doing the job. It’s only got a 4 star rating as the odd fruit fly is still flying about my home but it’s much better than the flymageddon situation we were living in a few weeks ago. I would definitely buy these again in the event of a ‘revenge of the fruit flies’ situation!
