Small but strong!

Our Fruit Fly Traps may seem small, but they are very effective. Place or stick them near your fruit bowl or fruit container to get rid of fruit flies in an effective and biological way.

Against fruit flies

Fruit Fly Traps are highly effective against fruit flies, but does not control fungus gnats. If you are bothered by small black flies in and around your plants, they are most likely fungus gnats.

Hoverflies

The Fruit Fly Trap does not work against these fungus gnats. To catch these pesky hoverflies, use our yellow trap.

So simple to set up- just take the lid off. Within a few hours my plague of fruit flies ( from a forgotten bunch of bananas!) was gone. The little bottles were crammed with the tiny dead bodies! Fantastic! Did the job fly sprays failed to do!!

I’ve somehow managed to become what seems like infested with fruit flies recently, they’re EVERYWHERE… Or they WERE everywhere.

I’ve tried all sorts, even when I located what seemed to be the stem of the problem (a rouge plantpot) they just wouldn’t disappear. Electric fly swatting daily, old wives tales with vinegar, dish soap and water, you name it – we tried it.

Amazon to the rescue. I studied different solutions, and one review I read on this product from ‘cass’ on ‘Miracles do happen’ – I was sold. But surely this little bottle isn’t going to get rid of what seems like hundreds of fruit flies.

See attached picture, no longer than a minute after I opened the bottle, like flies round the proverbial. Although I should have read the full packaging to wipe the funnel dry as the seemed to enjoy the rim too much.

No less than two days later and the two bottles almost full of these little annoyances… Problem sorted.

5.0 out of 5 stars What is this magical fruit fly killing solution?

Smell is horrible when you first open it
Quality is good – highly recommend if you have a fruit fly issue
It catches so many flies in the first 24 hours which is great – by sink was most effective!
It doesn’t stick well to most surfaces so just sat it down 🙁
    Very easy to use

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI put these out a few days ago and they’ve worked well, not long after I set them up they’d attracted some flies, and a few days later the liquid has dozens of flys in the liquid so it’s done it’s job.

There’s a mild smell to the traps but it’s not too overbearing but is noticeable. Other than that it is effective at luring and trapping the bug so I’d recommend giving them a try.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI felt compelled to write this review so that everyone hesitating to purchase this product would know the truth. And the truth is that these little bottles are a genuine miracle. I had a massive outbreak of fruit flies in my house. They were seemingly everywhere, but especially in the living room and kitchen. No matter how many I killed, there were always twenty more. Nothing I did to get rid of them seemed to work, until I brought these. They were smaller than I’d expected but I had high hopes due to the great reviews. I placed one in my kitchen and another in the living room. Within a single minute of putting them down, fruit flies began buzzing around them excitedly. Within six hours almost every fruit fly was dead. The rest following soon after.

Anyone who has a problem with fruit flies should definitely buy this product. The little bottles truly are amazing and they get the job done without any harmful chemicals or noxious smells.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersNot working with midges, unfortunately. It does work with dustbin flies as it comes with a vinegar solution inside (which can be replaced!). They are nice and small and can be hidden easily. So overall approved, but not useful for me this time.

I’ve never written a review for any product before but this stuff is a miracle. I didn’t even know if they were fruit flies or plant flies (although I think fruit) and they all swam in this juice and sadly died #rip but helpful for me cus I don’t have summer flies anymore. Wahoooo. Also note at the beginning it’s kind of a small thingy and you’re like huh how is this gonna work cause it sort of just sits there for a day or two and then BAMB. 100 stars. Sorry again to the flies 🙁

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReally recommend this product. Within 4hrs 95% of the fruit flies were trapped. The rest were sitting on the rim and went into the trap within 12hrs.

No odour at all, and the sticky patch on the back is really strong and adheres to surfaces well allowing you to place it up high if needed.

I think it is key that you make sure that they do not have alternatives such as fruit, sweet food, stagnant water or full bins before placing this trap.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really impressed!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Users24 hours later and no flies near it. Disappointing. There is not one fly inside it.

I have edited the review because suddenly, after a couple of days, the flies did go towards the bottle. There are now lots of flies inside, so I would recommend this.

I bought this as I had an infestation of fruit flies in my kitchen. I cleaned and used the home remedies I found on Google but nothing worked. This item is amazing. Within hours the kitchen was nearly clear of the flies and next morning only one was still buzzing about. Not anymore. Amazing buy and I know what to get if the little blighters return. The sticky pad secures well but it can be removed easily so it can be moved from room to room.

I started getting fruit flies a few years ago and they are horrible little flies and before you know it they take over your whole house!! I have tried everything from home made traps with apple cider vinegar to buying lots of diffusers with sent’s the flies hate like lavender and lemon grass. I found ninja traps last year and they have been a god send. You have to be patient but these traps work. I have recommended to family and friends. Very pleased I found these ninja traps. The only bad thing was the last time I purchased these one had leaked so lost one which was disappointing but this only happened once! So 5 stars as flie free home now

Does exactly what it says on the tin, I was a bit sceptical to begin with cause the wee bliters were just sitting on the rim, I checked it after the first night and there was a few still flying about. I put the lid back on and gave it a shake just to coat the liquid on the neck of it again. By day 3 we were fruit fly free. It’s amazing. Well worth it. I’m keeping the one out for another few days before I bin it and I have one spare in case they come back. Well worth the money. It was not nice seeing the wee flys round the worktop area when trying to prepare food. Ninja done the job.

very good fruit fly trap, use to eleminate a one off fruit infestation in building. Take a bit to start working, to speed up, just wipe the top dry, with wipe, this will prevent the fruit flys from drinking from any droplets, that may remain in the top, after this they slowly will, wander in and sometimes out, but will eventually come in contact with the liquid, and won’t be able to fly out.

Make sure you properly wipe down the funnel on the top as I didn’t right away and it meant they all just sat on the lid and didn’t fall in, once I dried it properly I caught all of them within a couple of days

Had fruit flies I couldn’t trap/kill off by the usual means. Tried a cheaper alternative which did nothing but this trapped and killed almost every single one in less than a day. Couldn’t be happier. I didn’t use the adhesive so haven’t rated that but very happy otherwise

Had a major problem this summer, and these sorted it right out. And if you keep the lid you can close it and then keep it for next summer. Although it is a bit sad seeing all those corpses.
Of course it’s only a bit of fruit juice and vinegar, could easily make it yourself.

This product does exactly what it says it does – it’s easy to use and effective. My only gripe – not really that much of an issue – is that you cannot readjust the position once stuck on. So get the positioning right the first time.

We had been struggling with fruit flies for months. Literally, months. We had tried everything. In the space of three weeks, this little miracle has cleared the pests out.
Initially, I didn’t think it was going to work – the flies hovered around it, but flew away. Yet within a couple of hours, several had been captured.
We didn’t use the adhesive so cannot comment on its effectiveness.

    Astounding!!

Works well! Cleaned the yellow funnel before use as suggested and within 5 hours the bottom of the jar was filled with fruit flies. It did start to smell of fermentation and ammonia after 2-3 days. But only 1 fruit fly still seems to be hanging around. Did not try the adhesion and just left on my counter and that was enough to attract the flies.

Arrived promptly. This concoction attracts fruit flies which subsequently fall into the liquid & die. We left our two bottles, one near the fruit bowl, the second adjacent to the food recycling bin. Over a fortnight the bottles collected at least 100 flies.

Important: wash your fruit from now on in case any fruit fly eggs are laid. All the best…

After suffering from an ‘infestation’ of fruit flies and trying everything the internet could suggest this was by far the best resolution. The flies are attracted to the mini pot and suddenly they are in the bottom floating. Cannot be smelt by myself or son so that’s a bonus as vinegar can be strong. I haven’t used the adhesive as I just kept the pot on the windowseal

  45. Andrew Krok says:

This product did the job it was advertised to do.
It’s easy to use. I simply removed the backing and stuck it to the window where the fruit flies swarmed to it and duly drowned in the nectar.
I continued to see the occasional fly, but the problem was brought well under control.
I confess to having been a bit sceptical, but it really works.

I simply received this, opened the lid and placed it on a surface near where the fruit flies were buzzing. Within an hour, the literal cloud of insects that had plagued the room was inside the trap and neutralised. I am so pleased (I also feel terrible for the flies, but hey, it was them or me!). Would recommend if you also have had a strange fly invasion due to the odd weather this year. I have only placed it on a surface and I haven’t stickied it anywhere so sorry I can’t comment on the adhesion.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHad a fruit fly invasion for the past few days (don’t forget about your onions my friends), put two of these out about 6 hours ago and was shocked to find the one had 11 dead flies in the bottom when I just checked it, plus 3 or 4 circling it (honestly I was more icked out by the fact that there had been so many flying around and I hadn’t just been seeing the same few multiple times).

I saw other reviews say on here to wipe the funnel when you first open them as it gets wet in transit so it’s easy for the flies to escape out, definitely recommend doing so.

  48. cijaye says:

     United Kingdom

Put it on the windowsill near where I keep fruit and have had a near complete reduction of this type of fly. You can see many have died in the trap. The key is to interrupt the lifecycle to the point they can’t bounce back. Keeping the second item of the double pack for spring in case there is a resurgence with the season change after winter.

After two days we have a load of fruit flies captured! Simply took the lid off the bottle and placed near to the food waste bin and it’s attracted most or all of the flies and killed them. We have another bottle near the big general waste bin and it has a similar number of dead flies in it. Really recommend this for a fruit fly problem in your kitchen. Let’s see how it works long term. This works where a fly zapper and Jungle Formula have failed (the flies are too small for the fly zapper, not sure why the jungle formula doesn’t work).

    Seems effective immediately!

We had been infested with fruit fly’s this year, never happened before, hope it never happens again.
These fruit fly traps are unobtrusive, easy to use and start working immediately, within 24 hours there wasn’t a fruit fly to be seen.
The instructions couldn’t be simpler, remove the cap, dry of the funnel trap with a bit of tissue then place or stick, using the double sided sticky tape already on the back of the trap, anywhere in your room.
If you’ve got a fruit fly problem this will solve it.

I know im comparison to some my photos dont look amazing but i was reluctant to use it so this to me is an amazing result. They had me going crazy so i thought 5 for one is alittle more then id like to pay but seeing how they worked id happily pay it again. At one point it did fall off but i was able to restick it somewhere else and the adhesive had no problem.
My only other issue was that the funnel ment that the fly could actually go inside and then come back out unharmed so sometimes i have to put a bit of card on top to catch them in there. Either would i would definitely say it works

Superb product. I previously tried various home remedies such as using apple cider vinegar in a bowl and had cleaned everything in
the kitchen but nothing worked. Put one of these out in the morning, by afternoon, the fruit flies had congregated round the rim and by the next morning they were all inside the trap solution. I located in a quieter area so that we wouldn’t disturb them at the congregating stage. Will leave the trap out for a few weeks to make sure but so far they seem to be gone. Adhesion not great – I just sat it on a surface instead.

I bought 2 pots of Ninja Fruit Fly Trap, put 1 in the cupboard with the fruit and the other on the kitchen window sill (you need to wipe out the funnel for quickest effect). Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersIt was a turf war.

    We were invaded, overrun.

They claimed the kitchen as their own. We were hopeless. We couldn’t move without a swirling assault emerging from the surface and scattering in the air.

But they never anticipated the strength of our allies and the weapons they supplied.

They fell right into our trap. It was carnage. Drowning on their own greed generations were erased in a matter of hours.

We live again, rebuilding to how we once were before the invasion.

Jokes aside, this stuff absolutely did the trick. I was on the brink of completely losing my entire mind.

Read reviews that the adhesive doesn’t work well so we just put them on surfaces out of the way. Also saw reviews that this product doesn’t work, those are absolute crap. 100% works and works quickly. We put out 3 traps and within minutes the wee shits were going inside. Within 48 hours we were in the clear.

I took a photo of the bottom of one to show the result, another one has a similar amount inside and the third has maybe 1/3 the amount of flies in it, however it was placed in an area where a homemade trap was so perhaps they had learned our tactics and avoided it.

Buying another pack so we can get on top of it should this happen before it escalates to save the stress and disgust.

    The turf war is ove

Put 1 bottle on the sink drainer (had read reviews re the adhesive, so didn’t stick them up) and they were all gone by Monday afternoon. Follow the instructions and wipe the funnel dry – this ensures the little blighters go down the funnel. Couldn’t believe how many were in the bottle! I can’t recommend this product enough.

I have pet hamsters who get fresh produce.
As throughly as I clean their cages – fruit flies are just drawn to them.
So I purchased these and it made and instant difference.
It’s easy to see why they are attached- the product has a protent smell not that you can smell it in the room.
But next day there were no flies around the cages and they were all in the product.
    Great stuff.

Will definitely be buying these going forward

    Proven well worth i

We have tried everything and this was a last resort. Make sure you clean the funnel so the fruit flies have to crawl in – literally started to work in no time at all and we don’t have a one left (other than what is floating in the bottom!!). Didn’t adhere very well – but works just as well stood by my food waste bin.

We were plagued by lots of pesky fruit flies for about a month, in the kitchen and sitting room. and just didn’t know how to get rid of the blighters. I bought a pack of four of these little bottles, and put one in both rooms yesterday. I didn’t bother attaching them to a wall, just popped them on a table or counter. At first the flies just circled round the top of the bottle, but after a while they ventured in. Today i haven’t seen a single fly, even though we prepped and ate a lovely fruit salad. A triumph so far.

Absolutely staggered with its success. Every year we seem to get fruit flies we have gone for white wine vinegar in a bowl wrapped in clingfilm it’s works but not enough. So thought I would give these a try. Was very hesitant as they are tiny shouldn’t have been..: within 48 hrs I struggled to find any still flying despite having small clouds of them before absolutely buying these again next year!!!

Works perfect, was skeptical at first in case it wouldn’t work but the next day I checked the bottles and there were tonnes of dead fruit flies, I had a bit of an infestation and these helped get it under control.

We ended up with quite a few fruit flies after not noticing a mouldy fruit and the bottom of the fruit bowl. I killed 12 in one day but there weee still a good few, in spite of me repeatedly cleaning the kitchen throughout the day and ensuring no food waste was left lying around and that all dirty dishes were out in the dishwasher or hand washed immediately.
I bought this, and 2 days later I haven’t seen a single fruit fly, unless you count all the dead ones in this.
Hopefully I won’t need to buy again, but I absolutely will should this happen again and would recommend it to anyone.

These initially took a good few days to really have an effect. The flies did start to land and hover around them after opening but it wasn’t until a few days after that I noticed in the mornings a good number and had flown in and died. These don’t catch all flies but for the price they certainly help. They also stick very well to the wall and haven’t budged in a couple of weeks.

Our home had been repeatedly infested with fruit flies.
We tried every trick listed by Google, all to little effect.
These Mighty Ninjas are totally effective. All, without the odour of Apple Cider Vinegar.
Be sure to stand bottles (don’t rely on adhesive) on suitable surface and remember to fully dry funnel area with tissue prior to first use. A couple in kitchen and one per infested room.
After 3 weeks (replace lid, if retained and) dispose of.
This is a singularly outstanding product. I don’t usually write reviews, but this product deserves 5*. Improvement to design of adhesive would make this product 5* plus. In interim, just place bottles on surface instead of sticking to wall / fridge etc.
I bought a second box of Mighty Ninjas to distribute to neighbours who were similarly infested.
All reported successful ellimination of pesky fruit flies.

Really great item to catch all those fruit flies . I’ve attached it next to the bin, as that’s where it was most of them. Took a day or two to notice that’s it’s way less fruit flies around . After a week I barely have any in my house . The only issue is adhesion of the sticky part . It comes of very fast, but I’ve put tape around it and didn’t had issues afterwards.
    Definitely would recommend though!

I went on holiday for 10 days and on return had something of a fruit fly infestation in my kitchen, so decided to try this product.

After 2 days, the fruit flies were all in the bottle and problem solved.

The product has exceeded my expectations and I will certainly keep these handy. They are small enough so as not to be intrusive and can be put behind fruit bowls etc so as not to be unsightly.

    Highly recommended. Thanks.

Plagued by (Drosophila melanogaster) the common vinegar fly in my kitchen for last few weeks.
24 hrs after setting up 2 of the bottles the flies are pretty much gone.
I was sceptical that the traps were working but the morning after placing them in my kitchen there were already several flies in each.
Didn’t try to stick the bottles to anything, just stood them on windowsill and table, as other reviewers said how useless the adhesive pads were.
    Very pleased with their effectiveness.

Well, son let me tell you a story…. I remember a time not so long ago when the fruit flies ran rampant. Of course back then you’d hire a ‘clapper’ or try take to the job yourself, swatting the pests between the your hands with an almighty clap! Well, I got so good at taking down those winged pests that I became a clapper myself… and a dang good one at that too. Sure It weren’t a clean job, constantly washing dead squashed bugs of your palms but it was gods honest work.

Waking up to find a fresh swarm behind the coffee maker was too much for most folks and then they’d look to hire out a ‘clapper’ like me to take care of the problem. And business was good… Damn good in fact! The hot days and long summers made for ideal breeding conditions and I’d be clapping away like it was uncle Petes birthday, all the way from dawn till dusk.

    Then the machines came……

Oh, they were few at first… but I saw the threat they posed. You see, they got inside this tiny bottle a fancy elixir that those flies find irresistible. The dumb little beasts crawl right on in that there liquid and go drown themselves. All you gotta do is unscrew the lid and stick the bottle where ever you like. (I know exactly where you can stick your bottle!) No more of this expensive and complex clapping business needed.

Well of course, word got out about the ease of use and you’d see these little yellow topped bottles pop up everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Even the Robersmith family, that had been hiring us clappers for generations turned to the damned contraptions. Hell.. me and their old pappy used to clap together on the old Skywalker ranch.

Now they gone turned their backs on us.

Yeah son, I remember when kitchens used to be battlegrounds, fruit flies as far as the eyes could see. Now all gone..

Not much use for an old clapper like me in the modern world.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was quite apprehensive after reading the reviews and it did take a few days to start to work but as soon as it did , it was great . I wiped the top of the funnel to make sure it was dry as advised . Will be buying again as they only last around 3 weeks . Stuck to cupboards really easily

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI am so so pleased that I have found this! After weeks of researching and homemade remedies, I have finally found something that actually works! It’s a very small bottle but my god it works perfect! I had so many fruit flies this summer and when I thought I had got rid of them all, there was always that 1 somewhere that would lay eggs and next thing I know my kitchen is bombarded with them all over again! So I bought this as my last hope before I thought I would need to call pest control and thankfully it worked! I left it out overnight and the next day they were all gone! I’ve seen some reviews where they said the sticky thing didn’t work so I didn’t even try it, I just sat it on my worktop and it still done a brilliant job. God bless whoever created this! (Unfortunately I didn’t think about taking a photo of the end results to upload but I promise it worked) very happy and will definitely buy again if needs to be (hopefully I wouldn’t need to)

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThese products do just what’s on the tin! Thanks to a child related forgotten lunchbox incident we found ourselves with some new house guests lots of new house guests. It turns out fruit flies really like fruit (odd that). After trying to move them on by wafting tea towels around and smacking everything with a note pad, we decided to move onto something more evidence based and less harmful to ornaments.

I can smell the vinegar but when compared to being landed on by flies all day this was a minor complaint. Within a week our visitors had lessoned in number. Within 2 weeks the contents looked a little grim but were still doing the job. It’s only got a 4 star rating as the odd fruit fly is still flying about my home but it’s much better than the flymageddon situation we were living in a few weeks ago. I would definitely buy these again in the event of a ‘revenge of the fruit flies’ situation!
